The Trinity Of The Godhead Religion
One of the pillars on which the Christian faith is based is the Trinity, we believe in God the
Farther, Christ Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit, we believe in the Trinity of the Godhead. This
pillar however has caused many debates amongst many other religions and has been rejected by
most with a lot of speculation about Jesusand His followers.
The Jewish nation however is one of the most sceptical with regards to the acceptance of the Trinity
, the New Testament and Jesus. The Jewish believe that Godis the one and only God as seen in the
Old Testament, therefore they live strictly to the laws of Moses, so when we as Christians refer to
Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, they accuse us of blasphemy against the true God of Israel. The

After the conversation was over, I felt relieved and open to new opportunities, which are now

India s An Environmental Hazard Essay
In early November 2016, Delhi, India faced an environmental hazard that put citizens in a
dangerous position. The air was filled with toxins that made it almost impossible for people within
the city to go about their daily lives. Everywhere, people asked who was responsible for the
problem and whose job it was to implement protections in order to avoid future difficulties. For one
to fully understand this issue, they must analyze the monumental growth of cities in the 20th
century, previous environmental issues, and Indias complex political past. These contexts can be
used to develop a greater perspective on the impact of humans on the world and what actions might
be taken to prevent further damage.
The New York Times posted an article on November 7th titled, SmogChokes Delhi, Leaving
Residents Cowering by Our Air Purifiers that detailed the urgency of the issue. Deadly coarse
and fine air particles reached concentrations that have been unheard of before, sixteen times the
limit that India s government considers safe. The personal damage sustained physically from
daily exposure to these toxins is equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day, experts say. In
an urban area as densely populated as Delhi, concern for the health of citizens is a top priority.
Schools in Delhi cancelled classes for a period of three days to keep children, who are more
vulnerable to long term medical issues, inside. Citizens were worried, upset, and looking for a

Matsuo Basho Essay
I decided to choose Matsuo Basho and Kobayashi poetry for the early modern age period. I chose
Masoka Shiki poetry for the modern age period. The early modern age poems I chose were
heavily based on nature and human interaction with the use of some nature. The modern age
poems I chose both by Shiki there was a shift from the early modern age because of the different
influences and of course time period. However, all of the poems I still could connect to whether it
was about nature, real life human interaction, and experiences.
Basho and Issa poetry is a part of the early modern age period. At this time Japan was going
through a period of isolation and was living in feudalistic system. Basho was able to exemplary
given the cultural influences during this period because he expressed everyday life. He was able
to express everyday life in a tone that could be reciprocated. The dominant themes ... Show more

However, both Issa and Basho seem to create works based on their observations where you notice
the imagery. Issa says, Snow starts melting , the reader can visualize the snow. During Issa s
journey he notices that as the snow melts the village is crowded with children which gives me the
impression of his recognition of the behavior of human and in the poem I chose, the children.
Masaoka Shiki s dominant theme was expressing modern life and its complexities. The time
period of social development and western culture where he wrote on reform. Shiki says, I keep on
working, and keep on working but life still continues to have its struggles though working his
supposed to aid a better life. This represents the complexities during this time period.
Though there is a difference in time periods, the themes intertwine in some way; though the
influences of the poets work may differ. As I read all of the poems I chose, I still feel some kind
of relationship because the themes in both the early modern age and the modern age are

Murad IV made Pope Urban VII look like a pushover his punishment for breaking the ban was
death. King James I of England was no fan of tobacco either, so he picked up his pen. In 1604,
James wrote the treatise A Counterblaste to Tobacco, and he didn t pull any punches, writing,
What honour or policie can move us to imitate the barbarous and beastly maners of the wilde,
godlesse, and slavish Indians, especially in so vile and stinking a custom? (King James, 1604).
As the years progressed, smoking became more and more acceptable. Nazis aggressively tried to
suppress tobacco usage but their ban fell with them, as during World War II and the immediate
postwar years, smoking was actively promoted in most aspects of society. One only has to review
the movies of the 50s and 60s to see that in almost every scene the hero or the heroine is smoking
a cigarette. Even, King James s attacks on smoking over 3 centuries ago (Eckholm, 1977) have
been vindicated.
As a result of this, the tobacco companies and society have been very effective in promoting
smoking as being socially acceptable. This may seem all the more peculiar, given that most
smokers believe smoking is hazardous; indeed, even in 1968 (Horn, Note 1), 53% of smokers
reported that they would like to stop. That the antipathy does not necessarily depend on scientific
data is evident from the response of Solomon Islanders and Saharan Africans: Though uninformed

Literary Devices In An Essay On Man By Alexander Pope
The aim of this essay is to analyse the literary devices used in An Essay on Man by Alexander
Pope, which lead to the literariness of the text its artistry, what makes it literary. To this purpose,
I will make use of Victor Skhlovsky s notion of defamiliarization, which he explains in Art as
Technique , written in the first phase of the Russian Formalism. Defamiliariation is the process by
which ordinary language is modified in order to achieve an effect of artificiality and strangeness,
drawing attention not to the meaning, but to the way it says that it has to say (Bertens 27). Thus,
the formalist approach leaves aside the refferential function of a literary text ( the way it reflects
the world we live in Bertens 26) and focuses... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

rigorous plan, and similes underline the idea of the universe as a continuing flow of matter and

Analysis Of Girl In A Country Song
Girl In A Country Song provides an alternative equipment for living through the rules of how
women and men should behave. Throughout the introduction of the video, the women are
portrayed as weak and dressing in a way to only attract the male eye. This is seen through the way
that the women desire the men s attention and acceptance, which goes along with the societal norm
of women being less than men. However, towards the end of the video, women are portrayed in a
more dominant role. Teaching women viewers that they aren t less worthy than the men, and that
they should speak up against sexism is crucial. To summarize, the text teaches us that it is
inappropriate to view girls as anything less than exceptional, which challenges American hegemony
and ideology. An array of logos is demonstrated through the use of a logical organization and style
throughout, that emphasizes the lyrics and scenes. Organization makes sense for how Maddie and
Tae want the sequence of the events to be shown. The master plot for the music videois
transformation; the girls are going through an emotional change of realization that they aren t less
worthy than boys. A linear storytelling method allows the video to start off with what is seen in
reality and moves on to show how ridiculous it looks, which enhances the storyline. Flashes
between the scenes create a logical view of what is depicted and what is mockery. The first line in
the video, No country musicwas harmed in the making of this

Similarities Between The Simpsons And Family Guy
We ve all seen these adult animated sitcoms, or at least heard about them. But when you think of
the legends in this category you need look no further than Matt Groening s classic The Simpsons,
or the more recent twist Family Guy created by Seth Macfarlane. The Simpsons and Family Guy
are American comical cartoons that share many similarities and differences. Although the two
shows portray a dysfunctional American family and have a similar way of delivering humor, they
both contrast in their targeted audience and characters.
The first and most noticeable resemblance is that The Simpsons and Family Guy s humor can be
indistinguishable in many ways. One of them being their sarcastic way of portraying pop culture,
politics, and ethnic or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, The Simpsons humor is family oriented and aims to target different generations. For
instance, hidden insults and crude jokes that only older generations would understand is not
included in the show. Also, the Simpsons includes cultural references that most of the present
generations would comprehend, which means that The Simpsons don t include too much current
pop culture and media related that older generations won t recognize. And even with the adult
orientated content, the show is suitable for the whole family to watch, even the young ones, though
they won t grasp some of the political and cultural jokes mentioned in the show.
Family Guy on the other hand does not target the whole family but the younger generations of
teenagers and young adults. Which is due to the use of crude jokes and blue humor. Also, Family
Guy uses current problems of the government, pop culture and the media. And just exploit them
with irony and sarcasm. What really captured my attention is how the show became darker, more
violent and mean spirited in recent seasons, which seems like a desperate try to attract more
childish teenagers to the

Planarian Limbs Experiment
Many organisms easily lose limbs and can grow them back again. Scientists have studied various
organisms that are able to repair damaged body parts, such as lizards, spiders, sponges, and sharks.
These are a few organisms that undergo regeneration with different body parts such as tails, legs,
body divisions, and teeth. The process of regenerationdescribes the replacement, renewal, and
restoration of lost body parts.
Dugesia tigrina are flatworms of the Turbellaria class that can live in saltwater or freshwater
environments (Reddien and Alvarado 2004). These flatworms are also known as planaria and are
notorious for their great ability of regeneration. The purpose of this experiment was to test if the
regrowth of the planarian limbs was affected by light.

complete darkness of aluminum foil. Since planaria can grow and shrink very quickly based on

Investigating the History of the Universe and the Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang theory is a theory that states that the universe originated as a single mass, which
subsequently exploded. The entire universe was once all in a hot and dense ball, but about 20
million years ago, it exploded. This explosion hurled material all over the place and all mater
and space was created at that point in time. The gas that was hurled out cooled and became our
stellar system. A red shift is a shift towards longer wavelengths of celestial objects. An example
of this is the Doppler shift. Doppler shift is what makes a car sound lower pitched as it moves
further away. As it turns out, a special version of this everyday life effect applies to light as... Show

Life Cycle of a Star
A star is born in a high density nebula and condenses into gas and dust and contracts under its
own gravity. Next, a region of condensing matter will begin to heat up and star to glow, forming
protostars. The temperature at this point is 5 million degrees centigrade. When this temperature
is reached, hydrogen fuses and forms helium. A star then begins to release energy which causes
it to contract and shine. After millions of years, the core of the star which is helium, contracts
and a reaction begins to occur in a shell around the core. The core is at a high enough
temperature for helium to form into carbon and the out layer of the star expands, cools and
becomes less bright. The core then burns out and the outer layer leaves the core as a gaseous
shell. The rest of the core cools and becomes a white dwarf and is less bright. When the white
dwarf stops shining, it is called a black dwarf.
Every now and then, a large star reaching the end of its life collapses in on itself, and then
explodes very violently. The star explodes so violently that for a few weeks the star can out shine
its parent galaxy. This type of explosion is known as a supernova. Neutron stars form during a
supernova.
What is a nebula?
Nebula are clouds of gas and dust many light years across. They can be formed by dying stars as in
supernova remnants or planetary nebula. They can be formed by young stars just emerging from
their nurseries and beginning to

Writing Techniques That Appeal to Readers Essay
Writing Techniques That Appeal to Readers
Anyone who will be required to write at any time, no matter what the function of the writing,
should learn good writing techniques that appeal to readers. Every type of writing should possess
something that will draw the reader into the words to make the reader feel that he can relate to
what he reads. Many techniques can accomplish this goal of writing. Diction, organization,
description, and titles are all key parts of an essay that combine the author s thoughts and teelings in

She does this by using examples from the past to back her main ideas. In the essay, Unlikely
Learning, Mary Kemmerer uses chronological order to explain how she passes her day in school.
Danielle Trasciatti s essay, Blue Band Emotional High uses some spacial organization although the
primary development is chronological. The author uses smaller, minor points to support the main
idea. Through the use of these forms of arrangement, the authors effectively expressed their points
in a very clear and discemible manner.
Another aspect that makes writing good is description. Description not only makes reading
more enjoyable, but helps the reader feel as if he or she is involved in what is going on in the
essay. It also adds life and reality to the writing. One essay that uses good description is Blue
Band Emotional High. Danielle Trasciatti uses description to paint a mental picture and helps
the reader feel part of the experience. She does it with description like, the smell of the dirt
mixed with sweat filled the hot and humid air. Chalk was floating around everywhere and was
smeared all over the dirt around the 25 yard line. Description brings the reader in and keeps him
reading . A piece of writing would be incredibly boring if there would be no description to interest
the reader and help him create his own picture of what is being

Racism And Discrimination In Global History
Racism and discrimination are present in a variety of cultures as global history has demonstrated
the struggles between racial and religious identities. This essay will argue that racial and religious
identity in global history predominately revolves around inhumane forms of ethnic racist
discrimination towards other cultures. There is an absence of healthy and constructive forms of
multicultural diversity because cultures struggle to coexist. However, it is important to recognize
that the cultures who consider themselves as superior, use globalization to expand their ideas of
maintaining power within society. There are five distinct ethnic racial relations that demonstrate the
inhumane forms of ethnic racist discriminationagainst multicultural diversity. For example,

The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth When a parent thinks about protecting their child, they

these factors rely solely in the political roots of the publisher. Textbookstoday aim to impress

vital historical information from a curriculum could harm a student severely in the long run. The

information throughout the nations classrooms. These adjustments would ensure that generations

Communication Is A Cornerstone Of Building A Strong...
Introduction
Communication is a cornerstone of building a strong relationship (Robinson, 2012). Numerous
studies show that marriages that do not have an effective communication between partners easily
end up in divorces. Researchers have identified the habits that people have that hinder effective
communication in marriages (Kusi Kusi, 2015). These habits are: avoiding the expression of
honest feelings and opinions about issues; failing to listen to a partner and being quick to react to
the partner s comments on issues; being subjective in a dialogue; failing to allow a partner adequate
time to respond to one s questions; and using negative impolite language that seem to order a
partner rather than request a partner (Kusi Kusi, 2015). These habits and much hinder effective
communication in marriages, which often lead to divorces.
Topic Problem
Many people believe that infidelity is the major cause of divorces in relationships. However, this is
not the case. The main cause of failure in a relationship is the lack of proper communication.
Infidelity, trust issues, different expectations, addictions, responsibilities, money issues, narcissism,
and different priorities are simply the underlying factors that cause a deterioration in
communication among couples (Wright, 2000). Consequently, poor communication, which is
triggered by the underlying factors, is the basic cause of break ups (Chapman, 2013). This research
aims to affirm that poor communication is the major cause

Nietzsche s Influence On American Philosophy
An indisputable influential figure within modern thought is German philosopher Friedrich
Nietzsche, a polarizing thinker whose text Thus Spoke Zarathustra has garnered abundant acclaim
for its encapsulation of a shift within late nineteenth century Western thought. Nietzsche s personal
history significantly affected the development of his philosophyas exemplified through the rhetoric,
literary style and speeches found within Thus Spoke Zarathustra. This report will follow the origins
of Friedrich Nietzsche, the contextualization of his philosophical stances within his famed text, and
the profound influence of his literature in relation to late nineteenth century thought and beyond.

As we approach Nietzsche s philosophy within the text, we must first begin by adopting the
principle of the will to power as the fundamental drive of all things. The principle of the will to
power states that everything must obey something, and if one cannot obey oneself, one must obey
someone else. Those who can transcend and command themselves then, according to Nietzsche,
are the sole carriers of true freedom. The will to power for Nietzsche is not simply the desire for
power or even something that one could choose to have or not, but is rather a characteristic of
everything that lives. Such is observable through the human history of interaction but the will to
power must not only be applied to human beings since ideas like religion, morality, and truth are
also prevailing concepts that are all positioned in the alike struggle that dictates life. The question
is not whether one should have the will to power or not, but rather what quality of will to power
shall manifest. A negation of absolutes, then, is an observable theme throughout Thus Spoke
Zarathustra, as Nietzsche depicts our world and all within it as characterized by the constant
struggling and overcoming of prearranged influences. As we come to adopt this notion of our
world and being in a perpetual flux, we interpret Nietzsche s

What Is Organisational Behaviour
Organisational behaviour investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structures have on
behaviour within organisations, as this knowledge can optimise the effectiveness of these
organisations. A way to understand organisational behaviour is to understand the organisational
psychology behind it (Murray, Poole, Jones, 2006). Organisational psychology is the branch of
psychology that is dedicated to the study of individual psychological phenomena within
organisations and ways in which organisational processes has an influence on people. The field of
organisational behaviour was developed primarily by the contributions of psychology, sociology
and anthropology. Each of which has contributed significant ideas for organisational developments
(Stuit, Szirbik, De Snoo, 2007). They pooled in a separate field known as organisational
behavioural. Three other disciplines exerted less influence in the development of organisational
behaviour which is economy, science policies, and history. The relationship... Show more content on

organisational behaviour is the study and application of knowledge on how people act within
organisations. It is therefore a human tool for the benefit of people and applies generally to the
behaviour of people throughout class organisation . The main aim is to have an organisational

Causes of The American Revolution Essay
The period before the American Revolution was characterized by a series of social as well as
political shifts that occurred in American society as new republican principles took hold in the
gentry of the colonies. That time era distinguished the sharp political debates between radicals and
moderates over the role that democracy should play in a government. This broad new American
shift to republicanism and a newfound support of democracy was a catastrophe to the traditional
social hierarchy, which characterized an old mixed government in the Americas. This new
republican ethic forced in a new age of American political values. By 1775, republicanism had
become a widespread philosophy in the colonies. It incorporated federalist ideals... Show more

The acts also instituted the need to enforce mercantilist policies in the Americas. The Sugar Act
was passed to place a regulation on trade in the colonies to indirectly tax tea (one of the most
demanded products in the Americas). Another act that passed was the Stamp Act. This was the
first direct tax on colonial peoples. They responded to this with the plea no taxation without
representation . This was a saying that meant the British could not rightfully institute taxes on
the colonists because they did not have any political say in whether or not they wanted to be
taxed. Practically there was no way that a semi independent nation 3,000 miles away from
Britain could be represented in their government. This was a ploy by the radicals used to market
and spark the idea of American independence and formulate more radical ideas. Radical societies
were formed to fight against the new acts being instituted by the British. The Sons of Liberty
were formed in every colony, and used propaganda, intimidation, and mob violence to prevent the
enforcement of the acts. This was a radical group that was formed because of the Revolution in
America. American independence in and of itself was a radical idea. The colonies had been
established as a money making scheme for great Britain; no one ever guessed they would spark war
with their mother country and become their own sovereign nation. Many Radical propaganda
writers were influenced by the American Revolution. Thomas

Nuclear Weapons Technology And Its Impact On The...
This project will discuss nuclear weapons technology and its impact on the Treaty on the
Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, also known as the NPT (Nonproliferation Treaty). The
Treaty covers three main pillars: disarmament, nonproliferation, and peaceful uses of nuclear
energy. It was signed in 1968 due to concern that the safety of the planet was at risk by having a
high number of nuclear weaponstates. After the United States bombed the cities of Hiroshima and
Nagasaki using vastly destructive nuclear fission bombs, it became apparent that the States and
possibly other countries could divert resources towards weapons rather than peaceful uses of
nuclear energy. Thus, nuclear weaponry prompted the creation of the Treaty.
Since the development of the first nuclear weapons technology by the Manhattan Project of the
United States in 1945, nuclear proliferation has been a major global concern. The Manhattan
Project was an undertaking involving the development of nuclear fission bombs, also known as
atom bombs. Atom bombs use a hollow bullet of enriched uranium shot into a target made of the
same element, initiating a nuclear chain reaction that releases vast amounts of energy. The bombs
created by the Manhattan Project were called Little Boy and Fat Man, and were used on the
Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively. This effectively ended World War II in
1945 after Japan was forced to surrender, but it also caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of

In the book The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain, the characters Tom and Huck who

spunk water to cure their warts, putting quicksilver into a loaf of bread to find a drowned person
and when Tom puts on a string of rattlesnake rattles on his ankle to protect him from cramps. One
of the first superstitions introduced in the novel is when Huck sneaks into a graveyard with a
dead cat where he thinks it will cure their warts. Huck has brought a dead cat with him and Tom

The Factors Influencing The Adoption Of The United States
In your own words, describe some of the factors that contributed to the adoption of the .05 level
of statistical significance (see Kazdin, Chapter 16). One factor was Fisher referring to it in his
1925 book. Cowels and Davis (2016) stated that this may have been the first time the .05 level
was referred to as statistical significance. Therefore, this may have been the most important
contribution for the universal adoption of the .05 level, specifically. That being said, there were
multiple contributions by previous researchers who also deserve credit for the evolution of
statistical significance at the .05 level. Therefore, Fisher cannot be credited as the sole inventor
of this concept. He can be credited as the first individual who recorded the .05 level and starting
a trend that is universally practiced today. Another factor was the development of the law of
frequency errors. In the 17th century, Huygens published work about reasoning strategies for dice
games and other games of chance. A subsequent publication from De Moivre was published into
three editions during the 18th century. De Moivre s works were said to be highly influential to
the scientific field since it generated the bell shaped curve (Cowels Davis, 2016). Soon thereafter,
Laplace and Gauss applied distribution principles, previously used for gambling, to the scientific
field. The development of the law of frequency errors and then the transfer to the scientific field
can be credited, then, as a

Native Americans And The United States
The United States as we know it, since its beginning has been based on immigration. Native
Americans traveled during the Ice Age through the Bering Strait and English settlers sailed the
Atlantic. Due to unknown reasons, most of the Native societies except for the Aztecs collapse
before the arrival of the Europeans, which gives shine to the English settlements since their
attainment set the roots of our society today. More importantly, it should be recognized the diverse
cultures of English settlers since it has set the precedent for the tolerance and freedom of expression
that is experienced in the United Statestoday. English migrated to the United States due to the lack
of freedom of religion in the Mother Land. This made the New World a setting with a mixture of
different religions that were persecuted in England. Each of the persecuted religious groups brought
different cultures and as a result settled in different regions of the American continent Atlantic
coast. These settlers were distributed through New England, the Carolinas, the Mid Atlantic, and
Chesapeake. Their differences in customs and terrain settled made for the success (or failure) of
each colony.
The first English settlements are what defined the new colonies of America. Before the English
settled in the land, America was pursued over by the Spaniards. Of the several colonies that were
established the first was the Jamestown colony by Puritans. After much struggle they were able to

Anthropology, Cultural Studies, And Physical Anthropology
The study of anthropology traverse across four subfields that focus in archaeology, linguistics,
cultural studies, and physical anthropology. Each field can specialize in an area of expertise. For
physical anthropology, the sub discipline bioarchaeology, incorporates both physical studies of
human remains while contextualizing the data found from archaeological evidence and other
sciences. One researcher explains that, information from the human skeletoncan be combined with
historical documents and material culture to understand social processes on multiple scales,
(Hollimon 2011, 163). Bioarchaeology is unique in that it bridges biology and social science to
create new theories and ask more meaningful questions. The virtuosity of bioarchaeology and why
it is important is that it is a heavy question based field. It contextualizes all fields of anthropology
that can span into answering specific questions asked by researchers in archaeology, culture studies,
and physical anthropology. The questions that bioarchaeologists seek to answer can range from
demography, diet, identity, food ways, and mortuary analysis. In general, the study of genderin
anthropology is a relatively recent phenomenon that covers all subfields. Since anthropology is the
study of all things human, it is interesting that study of identity and gender are only recently in the
field. McGee and Warms (2012), claim the trend in studying gender lies within identities that do not

composers to have ever lived. From his piano works to his symphonies, Mozart never ceased to
amaze people with his music. He had a very exciting career that began in his childhood that
involved traveling to different cities and performing and writing music for a number of large

1767 they had an extensive list of keyboard works. Unfortunately, none of these early works for
Mozart s Salzburg childhood remain. It wasn t until 1768 that Mozart composed and premiered
his first major work. Mozart at just twelve years old wrote his first full opera La Finte Simplice,

Salzburg s archbishop wanted to showcase the native Austrian and scheduled a performance of

Adjacency Paper
Humans have a fundamental need to belong and have social relationships, and therefore form
groups to fulfill these basic human needs (Baumeister

Leary, 1995). The tendency to
gravitate to similar individuals when building social ties is a well known feature of human
behaviour, and is referred to as homophily (McPherson et al., 2001). It is possible that the tendency
for homophily within populations, particularly the perception of physical similarity, influences
seating preference more frequently than expected by chance in day to day social interactions
(Mackinnon, Jordan, Wilson, 2011). This increases the chances of interacting with similar others
and decreases the chances of interacting with dissimilar others simply based on proximity.... Show

The People s Insurance Company Of Canada
Name : Dolphine Bisase
Id : 213349311
Assignment: Midterm Assignment, Management 3990
While the intention was that the People s Insurance Company of Canada (PICC) would have an
organic organizational structure, this intention was at least partially offset by the close integration
of the Insurance company with the parent People s Bank. The result was an entity in which the
superficially organic, generally non hierarchical Insurance organization has been overridden by the
highly hierarchical and mechanistic bank organization. The PICC s actual structure has both
mechanistic and organic aspects. With regard to work specialization, it is generally narrow and
mechanistic with the VP for HR, Mary Thorne, fighting an ongoing battle with the Bank on the
grounds that PICC needed staff with specialized skills in the insurance industry. With respect to
chain of command, while the structure of PICC was intended to be open, non hierarchical and
organic, it is clear that it is generally mechanistic in its most important aspects. For example, while
there may be an open office environment in general, the senior team members have private offices.
Similarly, while the the emphasis of PICC is towards self managing teams, many approvals such
as new purchases had to be signed off by multiple layers of the bank s management. Thus, the chain
of command is very rigid in terms of its senior decision makers. In terms of centralization of
decision making, it appears that

The Reasons For The Outbreak Of The Second World War
The reasons for The Outbreak of The Second World War World War II lasted from 1939 1945,
but there were a number of circumstances leading up to the beginning of World War II. It
involved the majority of the nations in the world in which they formed two military alliances.
Those alliances were the allies and axis. In a state of total war, World War II was the most
deadly war in history. This war was caused there was a violation of the Treaty of Versailles from

The Importance Of A More Effective Type Of Teacher...
Danielson s main purpose in writing the article is to explain the need for a more effective type of
teacher evaluation system. She wants to describe the weaknesses of the checklist type of teacher
evaluations that has been used as the norm in the past. Danielson describes a more effective form
of teacher evaluation that will be useful for the administrator and also the teacher. Teacher
evaluations are very critical in decision making for schools because this is a way for them to
credibly show the schoolboard that they have highly effective teachers and at the same time allow
those highly effective teachers an opportunity to grow and learn in the situation. Danielson suggests
that in the past administrators have been more worried about the decision making process and
being able to give evidence that the teachers they have hired are doing an high quality job.
Danielson describes two main reasons why we should evaluate teaching including making sure that
you have high quality teaching and for professional development. She makes the point that these
two reasons are not able to be met by the old method of checklist evaluation. For a teacher
evaluation to be effective and useful they need to be able to meet both types of criteria including
evaluating high level teaching and professional development. Danielson explains that when
thinking about the criteria of evaluating high level teaching that there are important parts of the
process that creates a valid evaluation process.

The Ballistic Missile Submarine
As one of the most powerful nations in the world The United States must protect its borders and
interest more than most countries. With the threat of nuclear war lingering in our domain, the
United States counters this spreading issue with the ballistic missile submarine to provide strategic
deterrence. Ballistic missile submarines have been important to the United States and Russia, as
well as other nuclear powers, since the beginning of the Cold War. Ballistic missile submarines can
evade satellites and discharge their nuclear munitions with little interference. This allows them to be
protected from a first strike directed against nuclear forces, permitting each side to maintain the
capability to launch an overwhelming retaliatory assault, even if all surface based missiles have
been obliterated. Furthermore, the deployment of extremely accurate missiles on quieter
submarines permits an attacker to advance closer to an adversary s coast and launch its missiles.
The ballistic missile submarine is the corner stone of the United States nuclear triad. It is also the
only survivable portion of the triad due to the ballistic missile submarines ever changing locations
and patrols. Much is classified about this stealthy monolith s technology and operating procedure.
But its development from the USS Nautilus to modern day Ohio Class ballistic missile submarine
is well known by other nations who fight to keep up with the United States projection of power.

Equality 7-2521 Research Paper
Equality 7 2521: A Lone Scholar Living in a Society of Street Sweepers
Robert Green Ingersoll, a lawyer, Civil War veteran, and political leader, once said that It is a
blessed thing that in every age some one had had the individuality enough and courage enough to
stand by his own convictions. In Ayn Rands novel Anthem, Equality 7 2521 represents this salient
being. Equality has never been destined to be a street sweeper, instead, it is a sinister motive of the
Council that determines his position. This is proven by several aspects throughout the book,
encompassing the idea that Equality has been set aside from society from a young age, Equality is
an individual in a communistic society, and that the Council has had unjust determinations ... Show

Equality is often locked in the cellar as a child, more so than the other children, for being taller
and more intelligent than his teachers. In Anthem s society, It is not good to be different from
[your] brothers, but it is evil to be superior to them (Rand 21). This saying, told to Equality
multiple times by his teachers for excelling in his lessons, indicates that Equality is evil, for being
intelligent. He often understands the subject matter of his lectures before the teachers have even
completed the curriculum. Equality himself states that No single one can possess greater wisdom
than the many Scholars who are elected by all men for their wisdom. Yet [I] can. [I] do (54).
Equality is one of the smartest mortals in his society, and he even goes so far as to say that he is
more intellectual than members of the Home of the Scholars. Equality s treatment by his teachers
justifies that his occupation as a street sweeper was a sinister motive because his intelligence could
lead to him surpassing the influence of the Council, if citizens decide to depend upon the man
bringing them new innovations in science and

Japanese Feudalism Essay
European Feudalism and Japanese Feudalism are very similar when it comes to their government
system, which always begins with the highest rank to the lowest rank of both systems in their
governments. The highest rank in the Europeans Feudalism system is the king, and for the
Japanese, it s the emperor. The Europeans had one king who owned all power, provides money,
recruits the army on demand, and grants land by the lord. Japanese Feudalismis a little different for
their highest rank. The Japanese had one emperor who owns no political power, the actual ruler in
the Japanese system is called the shogun, or supreme military leader who is chosen by the emperor
for life. European and Japanese Feudalism have many similarities in their government system,
starting with the highest power which is the ruler of their government, and scaffolds down to a
peasant or farm type of person.
During feudalism, knights were the European warriors in warfare, they wore armor made of
chainmail or solid metal and fought on horseback. Japanese warriors were ... Show more content on

Europe was somewhat different from Japan when it comes to children s education and training.
In the European system, boys at the age of seven were sent to the castle of their fathers lord,
where he would be trained to fight as a knight in warfare. During the training, the boys learned of
to hide horses and fight with different weapons. Trained knights would be expected to pledge
and to live by the code of conduct, which states they much be generous in warfare, have loyalty,
and be very brave. In Japan, boys and girls were taught important life skills. Japanese girls were
taught mostly household skills, or chores. On the resource website, it states, Girls were taught
things like cooking, washing, flower arranging and sewing, as well as skills. Boy s however, were
taught how to read, write, and speak in different

Nightlife In Las Vegas
Nightlife in Las Vegas attracts millions of tourists from around the world every year. Till the
morning light, numerous restaurants, casinos, bars and nightclubs will not let any visitor home
without a huge portion of good music, a great deal of dancing or with an empty stomach.
VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub is one of the best clubs to visit in Las Vegas and an opportunity to
visit it, for me, became the most amazing memory of recent time. Interesting that the name of this
club do not have any relation with any type of voodoo practices. Visitors come here not to seek
for revenge for their ex lovers, for example, by shrinking their head with a doll. I enjoyed this
place for the reason of its inner balance of nice music, interesting and affable people

Was England Torn Apart by Religious Revolution in the...
The short yet significant reign of Edward bought with it a series of severe changes to England and
all those within it, many of them taking a religious nature. As the once unquestionable authority of
the church became challenged by both critics and affiliates alike, England witnessed an almost
inevitable reformation. However, the impact on the majority was not necessarily beneficial as
Duffy wrote, the Reformation bought with it an assault on traditional religion , leaving many men
that breathed easier for the accession of a Catholic queen .
It is possible to perceive that England was torn apart by religious revolution as a consequence of the
public risings in the response to the changes. After their introduction, the country suffered ... Show

Catholic leaders believed they were defending traditional Christian civilization against rebellions
and anarchical forces, whilst the latter argued they were restoring pure religion and defending
against corruption and superstition. To them, the Pope was anti Christ, whilst to the Catholics,
Luther, Alvin and all other reformers were heretics. Consequently, the secular rulers sought to base
their political unity upon that of a religious nature, using their authority to compel their subjects
into adopting one form of Christianity. In contrast to Pope Leo X, who face the Lutheran revolt,
who urged secular leaders to suppress Protestant heretics by force, Luther appealed for this same
force to be used against Catholics, and even Calvin, considered to be an apostle of religious
tolerance didn t permit Catholics to reside in Geneva. Meanwhile, Spain, Portugal and Italy all used
methods such as the Inquisition and the Index to eliminate religious dissent and persecute
Protestant subjects. Therefore, this shows that despite the argument regarding whether England
was torn apart , the rest of Europe was considerably so, which could subsequently have impacted
England.
However, religious revolution in England could also be viewed as beneficial, in particular to the
economy. Throughout Europe, Princes and landlords, eager to the receive sources of new wealth,
adopted the argument of

Gerda was the only one that survived out of all her family. There were a number of reasons she

This pillar however has caused many debates amongst many other religions and has been rejected by most with a lot of speculation about Jesusand His followers. • 4. India s An Environmental Hazard Essay In early November 2016, Delhi, India faced an environmental hazard that put citizens in a dangerous position. The air was filled with toxins that made it almost impossible for people within the city to go about their daily lives. Everywhere, people asked who was responsible for the problem and whose job it was to implement protections in order to avoid future difficulties. For one to fully understand this issue, they must analyze the monumental growth of cities in the 20th century, previous environmental issues, and Indias complex political past. These contexts can be used to develop a greater perspective on the impact of humans on the world and what actions might be taken to prevent further damage. The New York Times posted an article on November 7th titled, SmogChokes Delhi, Leaving Residents Cowering by Our Air Purifiers that detailed the urgency of the issue. Deadly coarse and fine air particles reached concentrations that have been unheard of before, sixteen times the limit that India s government considers safe. The personal damage sustained physically from daily exposure to these toxins is equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day, experts say. In an urban area as densely populated as Delhi, concern for the health of citizens is a top priority. The modern age poems I chose both by Shiki there was a shift from the early modern age because of the different influences and of course time period. Masaoka Shiki s dominant theme was expressing modern life and its complexities. The time period of social development and western culture where he wrote on reform. Shiki says, I keep on working, and keep on working but life still continues to have its struggles though working his supposed to aid a better life. King James I of England was no fan of tobacco either, so he picked up his pen. In 1604, James wrote the treatise A Counterblaste to Tobacco, and he didn t pull any punches, writing, What honour or policie can move us to imitate the barbarous and beastly maners of the wilde, godlesse, and slavish Indians, especially in so vile and stinking a custom? (King James, 1604). As the years progressed, smoking became more and more acceptable. Nazis aggressively tried to suppress tobacco usage but their ban fell with them, as during World War II and the immediate postwar years, smoking was actively promoted in most aspects of society. One only has to review the movies of the 50s and 60s to see that in almost every scene the hero or the heroine is smoking a cigarette. Even, King James s attacks on smoking over 3 centuries ago (Eckholm, 1977) have been vindicated. As a result of this, the tobacco companies and society have been very effective in promoting smoking as being socially acceptable. This may seem all the more peculiar, given that most smokers believe smoking is hazardous; indeed, even in 1968 (Horn, Note 1), 53% of smokers reported that they would like to stop. To this purpose, I will make use of Victor Skhlovsky s notion of defamiliarization, which he explains in Art as Technique , written in the first phase of the Russian Formalism. Defamiliariation is the process by which ordinary language is modified in order to achieve an effect of artificiality and strangeness, drawing attention not to the meaning, but to the way it says that it has to say (Bertens 27). • 8. Analysis Of Girl In A Country Song Girl In A Country Song provides an alternative equipment for living through the rules of how women and men should behave. Throughout the introduction of the video, the women are portrayed as weak and dressing in a way to only attract the male eye. This is seen through the way that the women desire the men s attention and acceptance, which goes along with the societal norm of women being less than men. However, towards the end of the video, women are portrayed in a more dominant role. Teaching women viewers that they aren t less worthy than the men, and that they should speak up against sexism is crucial. To summarize, the text teaches us that it is inappropriate to view girls as anything less than exceptional, which challenges American hegemony and ideology. An array of logos is demonstrated through the use of a logical organization and style throughout, that emphasizes the lyrics and scenes. Organization makes sense for how Maddie and Tae want the sequence of the events to be shown. The master plot for the music videois transformation; the girls are going through an emotional change of realization that they aren t less worthy than boys. A linear storytelling method allows the video to start off with what is seen in reality and moves on to show how ridiculous it looks, which enhances the storyline. Investigating the History of the Universe and the Big Bang Theory The Big Bang theory is a theory that states that the universe originated as a single mass, which subsequently exploded. This explosion hurled material all over the place and all mater and space was created at that point in time. The gas that was hurled out cooled and became our stellar system. Life Cycle of a Star A star is born in a high density nebula and condenses into gas and dust and contracts under its own gravity. Next, a region of condensing matter will begin to heat up and star to glow, forming protostars. The temperature at this point is 5 million degrees centigrade. When this temperature is reached, hydrogen fuses and forms helium. A star then begins to release energy which causes it to contract and shine. After millions of years, the core of the star which is helium, contracts and a reaction begins to occur in a shell around the core. The core is at a high enough temperature for helium to form into carbon and the out layer of the star expands, cools and becomes less bright. The core then burns out and the outer layer leaves the core as a gaseous shell. The rest of the core cools and becomes a white dwarf and is less bright. When the white dwarf stops shining, it is called a black dwarf. Every now and then, a large star reaching the end of its life collapses in on itself, and then explodes very violently. The star explodes so violently that for a few weeks the star can out shine its parent galaxy. This type of explosion is known as a supernova. Neutron stars form during a supernova. What is a nebula? Numerous studies show that marriages that do not have an effective communication between partners easily end up in divorces. Researchers have identified the habits that people have that hinder effective communication in marriages (Kusi Kusi, 2015). These habits are: avoiding the expression of honest feelings and opinions about issues; failing to listen to a partner and being quick to react to the partner s comments on issues; being subjective in a dialogue; failing to allow a partner adequate time to respond to one s questions; and using negative impolite language that seem to order a partner rather than request a partner (Kusi Kusi, 2015). These habits and much hinder effective communication in marriages, which often lead to divorces. Topic Problem Many people believe that infidelity is the major cause of divorces in relationships. However, this is not the case. The main cause of failure in a relationship is the lack of proper communication. As we approach Nietzsche s philosophy within the text, we must first begin by adopting the principle of the will to power as the fundamental drive of all things. The principle of the will to power states that everything must obey something, and if one cannot obey oneself, one must obey someone else. Those who can transcend and command themselves then, according to Nietzsche, are the sole carriers of true freedom. The will to power for Nietzsche is not simply the desire for power or even something that one could choose to have or not, but is rather a characteristic of everything that lives. Such is observable through the human history of interaction but the will to power must not only be applied to human beings since ideas like religion, morality, and truth are also prevailing concepts that are all positioned in the alike struggle that dictates life. The question is not whether one should have the will to power or not, but rather what quality of will to power shall manifest. Causes of The American Revolution Essay The period before the American Revolution was characterized by a series of social as well as political shifts that occurred in American society as new republican principles took hold in the gentry of the colonies. That time era distinguished the sharp political debates between radicals and moderates over the role that democracy should play in a government. This broad new American shift to republicanism and a newfound support of democracy was a catastrophe to the traditional social hierarchy, which characterized an old mixed government in the Americas. This new republican ethic forced in a new age of American political values. By 1775, republicanism had become a widespread philosophy in the colonies. It incorporated federalist ideals... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The acts also instituted the need to enforce mercantilist policies in the Americas. The Sugar Act was passed to place a regulation on trade in the colonies to indirectly tax tea (one of the most demanded products in the Americas). Another act that passed was the Stamp Act. This was the first direct tax on colonial peoples. They responded to this with the plea no taxation without representation . This was a saying that meant the British could not rightfully institute taxes on the colonists because they did not have any political say in whether or not they wanted to be taxed. Practically there was no way that a semi independent nation 3,000 miles away from Britain could be represented in their government. This was a ploy by the radicals used to market and spark the idea of American independence and formulate more radical ideas. Radical societies were formed to fight against the new acts being instituted by the British. The Sons of Liberty were formed in every colony, and used propaganda, intimidation, and mob violence to prevent the enforcement of the acts. This was a radical group that was formed because of the Revolution in America. American independence in and of itself was a radical idea. The colonies had been established as a money making scheme for great Britain; no one ever guessed they would spark war with their mother country and become their own sovereign nation. Many Radical propaganda writers were influenced by the American Revolution. Thomas ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Nuclear Weapons Technology And Its Impact On The... This project will discuss nuclear weapons technology and its impact on the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, also known as the NPT (Nonproliferation Treaty). The Treaty covers three main pillars: disarmament, nonproliferation, and peaceful uses of nuclear energy. It was signed in 1968 due to concern that the safety of the planet was at risk by having a high number of nuclear weaponstates. After the United States bombed the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki using vastly destructive nuclear fission bombs, it became apparent that the States and possibly other countries could divert resources towards weapons rather than peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Thus, nuclear weaponry prompted the creation of the Treaty. Since the development of the first nuclear weapons technology by the Manhattan Project of the United States in 1945, nuclear proliferation has been a major global concern. The Manhattan Project was an undertaking involving the development of nuclear fission bombs, also known as atom bombs. Atom bombs use a hollow bullet of enriched uranium shot into a target made of the same element, initiating a nuclear chain reaction that releases vast amounts of energy. The bombs created by the Manhattan Project were called Little Boy and Fat Man, and were used on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively. This effectively ended World War II in 1945 after Japan was forced to surrender, but it also caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 26. The Factors Influencing The Adoption Of The United States In your own words, describe some of the factors that contributed to the adoption of the .05 level of statistical significance (see Kazdin, Chapter 16). One factor was Fisher referring to it in his 1925 book. Cowels and Davis (2016) stated that this may have been the first time the .05 level was referred to as statistical significance. Therefore, this may have been the most important contribution for the universal adoption of the .05 level, specifically. That being said, there were multiple contributions by previous researchers who also deserve credit for the evolution of statistical significance at the .05 level. Therefore, Fisher cannot be credited as the sole inventor of this concept. He can be credited as the first individual who recorded the .05 level and starting a trend that is universally practiced today. Another factor was the development of the law of frequency errors. In the 17th century, Huygens published work about reasoning strategies for dice games and other games of chance. A subsequent publication from De Moivre was published into three editions during the 18th century. De Moivre s works were said to be highly influential to the scientific field since it generated the bell shaped curve (Cowels Davis, 2016). Soon thereafter, Laplace and Gauss applied distribution principles, previously used for gambling, to the scientific field. • 35. Anthropology, Cultural Studies, And Physical Anthropology The study of anthropology traverse across four subfields that focus in archaeology, linguistics, cultural studies, and physical anthropology. Each field can specialize in an area of expertise. For physical anthropology, the sub discipline bioarchaeology, incorporates both physical studies of human remains while contextualizing the data found from archaeological evidence and other sciences. One researcher explains that, information from the human skeletoncan be combined with historical documents and material culture to understand social processes on multiple scales, (Hollimon 2011, 163). Bioarchaeology is unique in that it bridges biology and social science to create new theories and ask more meaningful questions. The virtuosity of bioarchaeology and why it is important is that it is a heavy question based field. It contextualizes all fields of anthropology that can span into answering specific questions asked by researchers in archaeology, culture studies, and physical anthropology. The questions that bioarchaeologists seek to answer can range from demography, diet, identity, food ways, and mortuary analysis. In general, the study of genderin anthropology is a relatively recent phenomenon that covers all subfields. He had a very exciting career that began in his childhood that involved traveling to different cities and performing and writing music for a number of large and well respected audiences. Along with Mozart s obviously notable works, his sacred music was also exceptionally popular at the time, as he adopted and further adapted the sacred writing styles of composers before him. It is said that his father helped him write compositions at the beginning, and by 1767 they had an extensive list of keyboard works. Unfortunately, none of these early works for Mozart s Salzburg childhood remain. It wasn t until 1768 that Mozart composed and premiered his first major work. Mozart at just twelve years old wrote his first full opera La Finte Simplice, and had it premiered in Vienna. Many opera critics realized that Mozart s early works were up to par, if not better than the similar works written at the time. After the operas s success in Vienna, Salzburg s archbishop wanted to showcase the native Austrian and scheduled a performance of La Finte Simplice in 1769. Since this work is an opera buffa, special performers were brought in to correctly portray the roles and style as Mozart wanted them to be. Leary, 1995). The tendency to gravitate to similar individuals when building social ties is a well known feature of human behaviour, and is referred to as homophily (McPherson et al., 2001). It is possible that the tendency for homophily within populations, particularly the perception of physical similarity, influences seating preference more frequently than expected by chance in day to day social interactions (Mackinnon, Jordan, Wilson, 2011). The People s Insurance Company Of Canada Name : Dolphine Bisase Id : 213349311 Assignment: Midterm Assignment, Management 3990 While the intention was that the People s Insurance Company of Canada (PICC) would have an organic organizational structure, this intention was at least partially offset by the close integration of the Insurance company with the parent People s Bank. The result was an entity in which the superficially organic, generally non hierarchical Insurance organization has been overridden by the highly hierarchical and mechanistic bank organization. The PICC s actual structure has both mechanistic and organic aspects. With regard to work specialization, it is generally narrow and mechanistic with the VP for HR, Mary Thorne, fighting an ongoing battle with the Bank on the grounds that PICC needed staff with specialized skills in the insurance industry. With respect to chain of command, while the structure of PICC was intended to be open, non hierarchical and organic, it is clear that it is generally mechanistic in its most important aspects. For example, while there may be an open office environment in general, the senior team members have private offices. Similarly, while the the emphasis of PICC is towards self managing teams, many approvals such as new purchases had to be signed off by multiple layers of the bank s management. She wants to describe the weaknesses of the checklist type of teacher evaluations that has been used as the norm in the past. Danielson describes a more effective form of teacher evaluation that will be useful for the administrator and also the teacher. Teacher evaluations are very critical in decision making for schools because this is a way for them to credibly show the schoolboard that they have highly effective teachers and at the same time allow those highly effective teachers an opportunity to grow and learn in the situation. Danielson suggests that in the past administrators have been more worried about the decision making process and being able to give evidence that the teachers they have hired are doing an high quality job. Danielson describes two main reasons why we should evaluate teaching including making sure that you have high quality teaching and for professional development. With the threat of nuclear war lingering in our domain, the United States counters this spreading issue with the ballistic missile submarine to provide strategic deterrence. Ballistic missile submarines have been important to the United States and Russia, as well as other nuclear powers, since the beginning of the Cold War. Ballistic missile submarines can evade satellites and discharge their nuclear munitions with little interference. This allows them to be protected from a first strike directed against nuclear forces, permitting each side to maintain the capability to launch an overwhelming retaliatory assault, even if all surface based missiles have been obliterated. Furthermore, the deployment of extremely accurate missiles on quieter submarines permits an attacker to advance closer to an adversary s coast and launch its missiles. In Ayn Rands novel Anthem, Equality 7 2521 represents this salient being. Equality has never been destined to be a street sweeper, instead, it is a sinister motive of the Council that determines his position. This saying, told to Equality multiple times by his teachers for excelling in his lessons, indicates that Equality is evil, for being intelligent. In contrast to Pope Leo X, who face the Lutheran revolt, who urged secular leaders to suppress Protestant heretics by force, Luther appealed for this same force to be used against Catholics, and even Calvin, considered to be an apostle of religious tolerance didn t permit Catholics to reside in Geneva. Meanwhile, Spain, Portugal and Italy all used methods such as the Inquisition and the Index to eliminate religious dissent and persecute Protestant subjects. Therefore, this shows that despite the argument regarding whether England was torn apart , the rest of Europe was considerably so, which could subsequently have impacted England.
