Kazumi s Zombie Apocalypse
The farm is quiet and peaceful. The weak creaking of the barn in the wind and swaying of the
leaves as well as various animal noises are the only sounds filling what would be silence. A
green field dotted with a plethora of flowers is home to a large red barn and a small yellow
house. Kazumi s heavy boots crunching dead leaves and grasses, combine with the natural sounds
of the farm. She is dragging a heavy sledgehammer behind her, resulting in a dirty trail cut into the
ground. Hopefully this is the proper rendezvous point and everyone survived. A few weeks ago
the continent of North America was ravished by an outbreak of unexplainable disease; this resulted
in a zombie apocalypse. Many months ago, she and her friends agreed to... Show more content on

Essay on The Battle of Crete
| The Battle of Crete: Important or Insignificant? | The Battle of Crete began May 20th, 1941.
Nazi Germany launched an airborne attack called Operation Merkur or Operation Mercury on the
island of Crete. This battle will be important because it will hold great influence over the course of
the war in the means of power. The Greek, Allied forces and even civilians attempted to defend the
island and after day one the Germans suffered heavy casualties. The next day, the Allies were
confident they could gain control back but they would have miscommunications that would lead to
Germany gaining Maleme Airfield and flying in reinforcements to overwhelm the defenders of the
island. This research is being used to answer the question why the... Show more content on

Alan Clarke said that the Germans felt it was forcing them to take over Mussolini s
responsibilities in the Balkans in order to secure their southern flank against the Soviets.
Knowing this, it begs to question why Hitler had to secure his flank against a country that he
was not at war with. Another historian, Graham Ross, also states that Hitler would have to
rescue Mussolini from the results of his military incompetence. Mussolini s failure to simply
secure the Balkans for Axis power caused a setback in Hitler s plans and therefore caused the
Germans to take control. The Italians were much more humane and civilized when it came to
fighting compared to that of the Germans, who were cruel and barbaric. This could be the reason
why the Italians were unsuccessful in securing the Balkans. The Italians did not have the fighting
mentality like the Germans did. Of course there are those such as Murray that beg to differ in
opinions about the course of the war. After the Germans had eliminated Greece and Yugoslavia,
they decided to make one last objective and that was attacking Crete. Hitler ordered an airborne
attack to finish the campaign and secure the Romanian oil fields from threats of bombing. Hitler
stated, Crete was the correct choice but such an attack would rely heavily on airborne forces. The
Germans had hoped that by taking control of the airfields they could create a bridgehead

An Amazing Homemade Recipes By Chicken Tamales
An amazing homemade recipe, both to cook and to eat, is chicken tamales. Tamales go way
back in time in the Hispanic culture. From many centuries ago up until now, tamale recipes have
been altered in many ways, they are made in all different sizes, colors, and tastes. Tamales is a
traditional dish to serve at holidays, where there is expected to be a big crowd to feed. The
homemade recipe is my mother s; her chicken tamales are enriched with two different savory spicy
fillings. Cookingmay come easy to some and maybe not so easy to others. However, this dish
does take a few hours to prepare, but it is very straightforward and easy with the simple step by
step process on how to cook tamales. Being in the kitchen for a few hours is worth the end result
of delicious tamales. The dedication and love can be tasted from the first bite, after that bite, there
is no stopping there.
In order to make chicken tamales, there is quite a grocery list that comes with it. Chicken
tamales consist of corn dough filled with a savory chicken filling that is wrapped in cornhusks.
The recipe will be broken up to make it easy to follow along. To begin the process of making
award winning chicken tamales a big working space in the kitchen is highly recommended. It is
best to sectionalize the workspace, the red sauce in one space and the green sauce in different
space and so forth. This recipe makes thirty to forty tamales. The utensils needed to make this dish
are pots and pans, colander, blender,

Emmanuel turned to the engineers and surveyors. I want you to put Dawn there. He traced the
horizon with a sweep of his hand, then turned into the wind. There is where Eden will be! Again
he turned, stepping on a log. There will be, Excelsior! When should we start? an engineer asked.
I want you to go ahead right away. Start tomorrow. No, start today. Tell the bulldozer crews to
spread out across this entire area. I want you surveyors to check the work of the bulldozers,
making sure they don t tear down anything they can avoid disturbing. I would prefer to keep the
ecological system intact as much as possible. Emmanuel unrolled the plans for Dawn on the jeep s

There will be no problem tapping into Cali s water main and receive water for the town, said a
chief engineer. The sewage will be no problem because it will run off into a treatment plant here
in this valley, said another engineer, pointing on the map. What about electricity? Lawrence
said. We have access to plenty of power, said another engineer. We ll be tapping into Cali s
power lines. I m sure there will be more than enough to supply Dawn, Eden, and Excelsior. We
also have solar systems designed to provide vast amounts of power. What about the monorail
train you were studying? Where will the train be built? Lawrence said. Right down the center of
town along the avenue. We have two train lines planned for each town, an engineer said. These
towns don t appear to be any instant slum, Lawrence said. You re right. These towns will be the
best we can build, Emmanuel said. All the homes will be dome shaped and made of fiberglass
poured into a two piece mold, and we will have other prefabricated homes made all of metal. The
houses will last for centuries; all they will need is a coat of paint now and again. These towns
might not win awards for architecture, but they will be the result of the best construction. There
have also been vast areas allotted for farming. As you can see on this

The Sexual Orientation Of Parents
The sexual orientation of parents, once having a child, does not negatively affect the
development of their children. In order to first be a parent, one must obtain a child. However, in
Florida, gay foster parents were not allowed to adopt the children they fostered due to the Gay
Adoption Ban (Goldberg). Homosexuals were not legally able to adopt a child at all until the
forty year old ban was lifted July, 2015 by Governor Rick Scott (Associated Press). Prior to the
lifting of the gay adoption ban, female same sex couples could build their families via DI, as
opposed to male couples, whose reproductive options were more limited... surrogacy is very
expensive (Goldberg 117). Adoption is usually a first option for gay couples due to the inability
to reproduce through traditional means. The second, and much more expensive options are
insemination for women, and surrogacy for men. Without the option of adoption, many gay
couples are not able to have the right to raise a child. Furthermore, the difficulties homosexual
couples have to acquire a child make it almost impossible to exercise that right. However, once
having a child, he or she is cared for just as any other heterosexual couple would care for a child.
The development of children raised by homosexual couples is not significantly different from that
raised by heterosexual couples. Children whose parents are gay or lesbian have no more problems
with self esteem, psychological adjustment, intellectual capacity,

The Fascination Of War Literature
War is full of death and destruction, it is full of a lot of things including literature. In war there
are no rules, the same is for literature there are no rules the possibility of what to write about is
endless. My fascination of war truly began when my grandfather started to open up about what
he went through in the Vietnam War. Most soldiers who have went to war and have come back
are not the same as when they left. It is very hard for them to talk about what they have been
through while at war, but when they talk one should listen because they may never be able to
have the strength to tell that story again. One may not realize how much it takes for a Veteran to
tell a story of what they went through, because as they are telling the story they are re living the
story mentally. Most soldiers are not capable of telling stories without having to go through
counseling. In most cases if a soldier was to try to tell a story without counseling, they will freak
out thinking they are back in the place that brought them the trauma. In today s world it is
mandatory for Veterans to receive counseling to help them with their trauma instead of trying to
figure it out their selves. Therefore, war literature is very important because of the meaning
behind it all. We should give respect to war literature, especially if it comes from a solider himself.
When one should read about war literature they should take into consideration of how hard it might
have been for the person to talk

Developing A World Class Education System
Regional Context
Producing a world class education system to strengthen human capital and to produce the skills
necessary for the citizenry, was a goal which drove Jamaica s initiatives as they continue to strive
to build strength to compete in the global economy (Davis, 2004). According to Davis (2004) to
achieve this goal the Jamaican authorities formulated a task force to assess and propose the way
forward in education in their country. From the assessment, the task force suggested a number of
recommendations, one of which was the implementation of a seamless K to 12 system. This
recommendation was categorized to specifically address the issue of chronic under achievement
discovered in the country s education system.

Local context
One of the main international bodies that has championed the fight for equal rights for persons with
disabilities and has caused Trinidad and Tobago to embark on ambitious educational reform
initiatives is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
One of their initial benchmark in their fight for equal rights began with the Universal Declaration
for Human Rights in 1948. Trinidad and Tobago joined this fight in the years that followed and
became a signatory to some of the landmark conventions and achievements of UNESCO as seen in
diagram 1. The Convention on the United Nations Rights of the child, which was ratified by
Trinidad and Tobago in December 1991, includes items such as principle 5 and to a lesser extent
principle 10 referring to the protection, treatment and provisions of children including those with
special needs.
Trinidad and Tobago is also a signatory to the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities,
ratified on June 2015. This Convention aims at addressing the numerous obstacles that hinder
persons with disabilities. Article number 24 of the Convention refers to five elaborations on the
issue of education. Number 5 of Article 24 refers to

The second symbol I noticed was the wall. This stood out to me because Bobby was going to do

The Giant Panda Paradigm Essay
The Giant Panda Paradigm
The Giant Panda is a creature of mystery. Adults and children alike appreciate it for its cute, fuzzy,
lovable qualities, but it is an animal that is in desperate need of immediate attention. Scientists
know the basics: how and what they eat, where and how they live, and how they reproduce. The
fact remains, however, that this universally loved national symbol of China is facing the threat of
extinction. What accounts for this fact and what can be or is being done to protect the panda from
such a fate? This paper will discuss the characteristics and lifestyle of the panda as well as issues
and questions that arise as a result of the threat of their extinction.

Pandas have inefficient digestive systems, and must therefore spend more than ten hours a day
eating the amount of food needed for necessary nutrients ((1)). While their dental structures have
adapted to the bamboo diet their digestive systems remain closer to those of carnivores ((6)). This
results in a low percentage of food digestion in comparison to the amount that it actually ingests
((6)).
The Giant Panda is currently threatened in a number of ways. The first threats are to their food
sources. The Bamboo Rat is a minor, but existent problem that feeds on bamboo roots, killing
plants on an individual level ((6)). Bamboo also undergoes phases of growing and then dying as
part of the renewal cycle ((7)). This process is not a problem in itself, except for the fact that
whereas the pandas might move to a different location to feed, they are running out of places to
move because of the expansions of farmland and increased forest clearing ((7)).
The greatest threat of all to the Giant Panda is man. The abovementioned land clearing for farms,
residential and commercial areas coupled with prowling poachers are the two most serious threats
to the panda and its habitat ((3)). Efforts to set up reserves for the pandas have sparked conflicts
with locals. When a reserve is established, people are often not compensated for the loss of land
that they have used for years, and they are tempted to continue to use the land illegally ((3)).

The Independent Internal Verification control is also being violated because the data that eh
accountant has been providing has not been verified by any other personnel in your company. It is

employees and they are only being asked to leave a note in the drawer when it is being used. Why
are all employees being allowed to have access to the petty cash fund? How do you know that it is
being used to benefit the company, not the employee? Why is the cash not locked away instead
of being placed in a desk drawer? This violates the Human Resources Control as well as the
Physical Control. Employees who handle cash should be bonded and all cash should be locked
away. Receipts or other means of record keeping should be provided when petty cash is used, not
notes left in the drawer. The company does not have individual passwords assigned to employees
for computer use. This also is a violation of Physical Controls. Thorough background checks are not
being done on employees before they are hired. This violates the Human Resources Control. If this
had been done, the employee that had been convicted of child molestation would have never been
hired. The accountant should not be interviewing and approving new hires. This goes against the
Establishment of Responsibility control. The accountant has too many roles within the company

Politics of location acknowledges that every woman is not from the same area, and therefore
experiences, cultures, and traditions differ due to how the girls and women were raised. By

women to hear the oppressions, complications, and difficulties other women throughout the world

Christian God Evil
I. Introduction
One of the oldest dilemmas in philosophy is also one of the greatest threats to Christian theology.
The problem of evil simultaneously perplexes the world s greatest minds and yet remains
relatively close to the hearts of the most common people. If God is good, then why is there evil?
These facts about evil and suffering seem to conflict with the orthodox theist claim that there exists
a perfectly good God. The challenged posed by this apparent conflict has come to be known as the
problem of evil. If God were all knowing, it seems that God would know about all the horrible
things that happen in our world. If God were all powerful, God would be able to do something
about all the evil and suffering. Furthermore, if God were morally ... Show more content on

If an all PKG being existed, then there would be no evil. There is evil. Hence, there is no God.
From that argument, God would seem like he could not exist with evil. Many believe he can due
to different reasons. The theodicy of free will and character building tries to show evidence
about those claims. Premise 2 claiming that a PKG God could not exist with evil could be
disproven. It could be due to greater good that we may not see in the present or see near us.
Premise 1 could be viewed as a definition but is more of a conditional statement saying if he
existed, he would have those attributes. Premise 3 is what discusses evil, either of the two forms, I

A Study On Xyzprinting Da Vinci 1.0 3d Printer Essay
XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer Review (Keyword: cheap 3d printer)
If you are new to the 3D printer space and are looking at buying your first cheap 3D printer, the
XYZ Printing Da Vinci 1.0 3D printer would be an excellent choice. With its plug and play
capabilities thanks to its factory calibrated settings, getting the printer up and running is easy and
requires minimal knowledge in 3D printer installation. Considering it is usually categorized as a
cheap printer, the print quality is fairly good. A spacious print area and user friendly LCD screen
are an added bonus.
How the printer works and its features
At its core, the XYZ printer is not too different from other 3D printers. The quality of output will
depend on the resolution specified as well as the printing speed. Speed settings can be adjusted to
anywhere between 0.1 millimeters and 0.4 millimeters per second. The maximum printer output is
8 x 8 x 8 inches which is somewhat of an anticlimax given the fairly large size of its print platform.
The cheap 3D printer is encased and print outputs are accessible from the device s front door. This
not only makes it easier to keep the printer clean but also reduces the likelihood of operator injury.
You also don t need to worry too much for instance about little children s hands getting trapped or
seared by the printer s internal components. The printer casing also minimizes the noise pollution
during operation. Another seemingly minor but quite important safety feature is

Special Education And The Benefits Of Technology
Special Education and the Benefits of Technology in the Classroom Special Education is a type
of instruction designed to help disabled and gifted children use their full learning abilities. Many
special needs children work in regular classrooms for most of the school day. These students also
work with specially trained teachers for part of each school day. These teachers work with helping
them to overcome their disabilities. These sessions are usually held in a classroom called a
resource room. A resource classroom is usually equipped with materials such as braille typewriters,
special computers and many other useful resources. Since the late 1800 s, technology has changed
in many different ways.
In the 1800 s it was very difficult for people to communicate with each other. People could only
communicate with if they were in person or by mail. The development of the radio began in the
1830 s; and this allowed people to communicate quickly between any two points on land, at sea,
and later, in the sky, and in space.
In 1895, an Italian inventor sent radio signals more than a mile through the air in the form of
telegraph code signals; and in 1901, his equipment transmitted signals all the way from England to
Canada. In 1906, Reginald Fessenden was the first scientist to transmit his voice by radio. In the
1920 s, radios could broadcast comedies, adventure dramas, music, and other kinds of radio
programming to peoples homes.
From radio to television, technology began to

Much Ado About Nothing Double Entendre Analysis
Much Ado About Nothing is a comical 14th century play, written by the most influential play
writer of all time William Shakespeare. In 1598 and 1599 when this play was written, there were
merely two types of genres; comedy and tragedy. Hence, Much Ado About Nothing is classified as
a comedy, since no characters die, there is a happy ending and a comic hero/heroine. In the play,
Leonato arranges the hasty engagement of Claudio to his daughter, Hero. Don John appears to
also love Hero, and plots to deceive Claudio into believing Hero is cheating on him. As a result,
Claudio believes this delusion and decides to confront Hero at their wedding, causing Hero to
supposedly die from shock. Meanwhile, Hero convinces Beatrice that Benedick is an ideal
husband. The play comes to a joyful conclusion when Claudio marries Leonato s niece , whom is
really a reincarnated Hero. The lovers are reunited and Benedick and Beatrice also announce that
they will get married too. Shakespeare uses strategic and effective language techniques of double
entendre, dramatization and topical humour, to develop comedyin Much Ado About Nothing.
Double entendre is constantly present throughout Much Ado About Nothing and greatly develops
the audience s enjoyment. Double entendre is a word or phrase that can be interpreted in two
ways and have a suggested meaning. Before the play even begins, the title is a prime example of
double entendre. During the 14th century, nothing would have been pronounced as noting ,
meaning the characters are attentive to all the wrong ideas. It is debatable that nothing also
translates to women s genitalia, suggesting the play is practically Much Ado About Vagina s.
Furthermore, practically every line Margaret says in the play can be interpreted in two ways and
is an example of double entendre. More specifically, in Act III, Scene 1, Margret claims, I ll make
her come... Margaret is talking about seeking Beatrice for Hero, yet is really inferring to the
sexually explicit meaning of come/cum . For the audience, this double entendre is quite amusing
and consequently, significantly develops the genre of comedy in Much Ado About Nothing.
Practically every aspect of Much Ado About Nothing is over

Informal Interview Over Dinner
Reliability has a long history as one of the key psychometric properties of a test, but a given test
might not measure people equally reliably (Hu, Nesselroade, Erbacher, Boker, Burt, Keel ...
Klump, 2016). Test scores from some individuals might have considerably greater error than
others. It has a lot to do with the consistency of the test subject s performance on the test. While
there are several methods for estimating test reliability, the four major types are inter rater, test
retest, parallel, and internal consistency (Heneman, Judge, Kammeyer Mueller, 2012). Inter rater
reliability is used to assess the point to which different raters give consistent estimates of the
same occurrence. Interrater reliability offers a measure of the consistency of scores that could be
expected across raters. Inter rater reliability is valuable because human raters will not essentially
understand each answers the same way. Evaluating how an informal interview over dinner, a
formal presentation to managers, and managerial evaluations of performance potential compare

In these two texts, both authors informed their readers on how and why technology impacted

Schools should provide blue light for students because, according to the passages, it improves
learning by making them more alert, allowing them to rest well enough to be prepared for school
and giving them and help alleviate sleeping disorders among the students.
If students were to be more awake in the morning, they would have no problem retaining the
information that they learn throughout the day. In Selection 2, Waking Up Teens, when at the

While working in an emergency department (ED), nurses are expected to show compassion even
when they are exhausted? Over tired? Over worked? Fatigued? The purpose of this evidence based
practice (EBP) project was to educate ED nurses on compassion fatigue (CF) risk factors, causes,
and symptoms as well as assist them in its identification among each other and within themselves.
Further, the project sought to provide nurses with skills in order to prevent CF. A two hour
workshop consisting of a PowerPoint presentation was implemented in a busy emergency
department on the coast of NJ. Teaching nurses about compassion fatigueand ways in which to
alleviate and prevent it were stressed. Self regulation and self care practices were introduced using
interactive activities. Over the next four weeks, emails were sent reiterating self care and self
regulatory techniques. A Pretest posttest design used the Professional Quality of Life (ProQOL)
measure to determine if burnout and secondary traumatic stress (both components of CF) and
compassion satisfaction improved from the workshop. A comparative means analysis showed a

Courage is when you know you re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and you see it

When Atticus took the case, he went up against Maycomb, a generally prejudiced town, in order
to defend Tom. He understood that taking the case would make him an object of ridicule and that
no one would forgive him for believing a black man s word over a white man s. Even his own
sister expresses disapproval at his decision, practically telling him he was bringing disgrace to the

Standing up for his morals and ethics was more important than what people thought about him.
From the very start Atticus knows he will not win the case however he does his job and finishes

Atticus s strong sense of morality and justice motivates him to defend Tom Robinson with

Innate Immune System
Introduction
Zinc is the 24th most abundant element in the earth s crust, it is a metallic chemical element which
has exceptional biological importance (Bonaventura et al., 2015). Zn is involved in numerous
aspects of cellular metabolism such as: protein synthesis, cellular respiration, wound healing, DNA
synthesis, cell division, and immune function (Bonaventura et al., 2015). For as many essential
functions Zn is necessary for it also has the potential to interact with at least as many biological
functions to induce adverse effects (Maret and Sandstead, 2006). For these reasons Zn deficiency
and toxicity is linked to a number of diseases and particularly immune diseases affecting both the
innate and adaptive immune systems (Bonaventura et al., 2015, Maares and Haase,
2016).Therefore, a disruption in Zn homeostasis can lead to compromised host defense and an
increased risk of excessive inflammation (Maares and Haase, 2016). Innate immune system. Innate
immunity is the first line of defense, it is regulated delicately by Zn, when Zn homeostasis is
altered all kinds of immune cells show a decrease in function (Ibs and Rink, 2003). When Zn
concentrations are depleted, in monocytes all function is impaired, in NK cells cytotoxicity is
reduced, and in neutrophil granulocytes phagocytosis is also decreased (Ibs and Rink, 2003). Zn
deficiency reduces phagocytosis and Zn supplementation has the opposite effect. The effect on
phagocytosis is thought to be mediated by Zn

Melendez s influence on the themes in Anderson s work is not as apparent as the visuals. In

repeatedly in Anderson s work in Suzy and Sam running away from home (and eventually being
found) in Moonrise Kingdom, and in Max s expulsion and subsequent enrollment in public school
in Rushmore. In his book Wes Anderson: Why his Movies Matter, Mark Browning asserts that,
Charlie Brown is quite different from most Anderson heroes, who lack his more realistic self

Explain The Roles And Differences Between Consumer And...
1.Differentiate between mechanized, semi automated, automated, and information directed
handling systems. The mechanized type handling system, is a combination through labor and
equipment handling that utilizes the help from facilities processing, receiving, and shipping.
Although a high percentage of overall cost is associated with this type of labor system. Also, with
having to use a high amount of human labor workers, there is more use of forklifts and carousels.
Where when using an automated system, there would be a cut in labor costs due to the use of
automated equipment that can accomplish the job that man power is being used to accomplish. A
lot of these costs can be pretty expensive up front, but in the long run they end up paying
themselves off. When a mix of both are used though, it s called semi automated. Which can in turn
help increase efficiency. But at the same time, using completely automated systems can help reduce
in any forms of error in sorting processes. Within semi automated systems, there is the final form of
information directed handling. This system uses information technology to help direct mechanized
or any automated equipment. 2.Explain the roles and differences between consumer and industrial
focused packaging. The roles and differences between consumer and industrial focused packaging
are pretty up to point. The consumer packaging is primarily focused on product and marketing

Taking a Look at Cupping
Cupping is a form of therapy in which a glass or bamboo cup is placed onto the acupuncture
points of the skin after heat has been applied inside the cup to create a negative pressure. This
pressure causes the skin and underlying tissues to rise into the cup. The purpose of this is to
make sure that all of the toxins escape the body and increase blood flow around the areas that
have been blocked. Cupping originates from China and is widely used to treat areas where there
are qi (vital energy) and blood stagnation (Leung, Xue, and Cheng, 40). This flow is interrupted
because there is an imbalance in the body. In this case, the imbalance causes musculoskeletal
problems, lung problems, as well as swelling. Getting rid of the imbalance allows the qi and blood
to flow freely in which diminishes any physical pain and illnesses. In the East, chinese healers first
practiced this type of therapy approximately three thousand years ago to treat specific illnesses.
They used animal horns because those were the only things that resembled a cup at that time. In
addition, this therapy was known as the horn method, (Xiaofei, 242) partially due to the tool that
they had to use. However, as technology advanced, bamboo cups replaced animal horns, and
eventually glass cups became the primary tool for cupping. Therefore, cupping became the common
name for this form of therapy. In the West, cupping originated in Egypt, around 1550 B.C. The
Egyptians utilized cupping to cure just about any

It s when a large group of people collaborates to achieve an intended goal, whether that is to
inform, teach, persuade, entertain, or in general, communicate ideas. It s also a complicated
time for someone with hyperhidrosis because the agony and uneasiness of being a center of
attention releases an amplified amount of activity in the sweat glands, leading to severe
perspiration. First impressions are usually crucial in making new friends, connections or even
potential partners. Thus, the opportunity is jeopardized when handshakes are almost always
moist and slimy. This extends to interviews too, regardless of it being academic or occupational.
In addition to clammy hands, the matter of underarm sweating is more trivial than it seems. We
have to think about upper wear color schemes that aren t prone to dark crescent moon blotches. I
scorn light greys and typically turn towards whites and blacks. In the professional workforce,
certain dress codes that portray a serious business demeanor must be followed. In terms of dress

Imperfect Competition Essay
1.0Introduction
In a perfectly competitive market it is assumed that owing to presence of manybuyers and many
sellers selling homogeneous products, the actions of any singlebuyer or seller has a negligible
impact on the market price of product. However in reality this situation is seldom realized. Most of
the time individual sellershave some degree of control over the price of their outputs. This
condition is referredas imperfect competition.
Barriers to entry are the factors that make it difficult for new firms to enter an industry, which lead
to imperfect competition. Mostly commonly known barriers of entry areeconomies of scale, legal
restrictions, high cost of entry and advertising and productdifferentiation.

For any one firm, within the cartel, expanding output and selling at a price thatslightly undercuts
the cartel price can achieve extra profits. Unfortunately if one firmindulges in this, the other firms
will probably same path same. If all firms break theterms of their cartel agreement, the result will
be an excess supply in the market and asharp fall in the price. Under these circumstances, a cartel
agreement might breakdown.
Fig.1 Price fixation by cartel and effect on partner of the firm
3.0 Conditions conducive for formation of cartels
1. Only a small number of firms exist in the industry and barriers prevail to entryprotect the
monopoly power of existing firms in the long run.
2. Market demand is not too variable i.e. it is reasonably predictable and not subject toerratic
fluctuations which may result to excess demand or excess supply.
3. Demand is fairly inelastic with respect to price so that a higher cartel price fetchesincreased total
revenue to suppliers in the market.
4. It is easier to monitor each firm s output. This enables the cartel more easily toregulate total
supply and identify firms, cheating on output quotas.

B) Diets are lower in calories compared to a typical western diet.
In the context of present time, one can therefore make two general assumptions in regard to the
question of what constitutes a healthy diet: 1) generally, the less a food is processed the better. 2)
Eat less eat what is adequate, do not over eat.
Generally, the less a food is processed the better
He reason for this is simple. For 99.9% of human existence, our species lived on foods that were
either raw or minimally processed. The technology needed to increase food processing did not
exist until very recently. It is therefore reasonable to assume that our bodies are best adapted at
utilizing and dealing with the raw or minimally processed foods which sustained us, and our
predecessors, for millions of years: fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts and seeds. | Dried peaches are
good for anemia, fatigue and constipation. | |
Often, the more recent the food is, the more likely it is to be less beneficial or even directly
harmful possibly due to lack of full adaptation to such foods. For example, it is estimated that
food cooking started about 500 000 250 000 years ago (depending on the source, the range may
vary). During this time frame, it is likely that human species have at least adapted in some way to
very simply cooked animal and vegetable foods. On the other hand, the beginnings of grain
consumption are much more recent. Evidence of earliest known,

Art Criticism Of The Baroque Era
The Musicians In art criticism, the word Baroque came to be used to describe anything irregular,
bizarre, or otherwise departing from established rules and proportions, (Britannica, 2016).
Caravaggio, born Michelangelo Merisi (1571), an Italian painter, can be said almost single
handedly to have created the Baroquestyle during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries.
None other can be more appropriately defined as Baroque than Caravaggio; his character, like his
art, was confrontational and uncompromising, and both loved and hated. He introduced a
powerfully frank realism and dramatic, theatrical lighting and gesture into Italian Baroque art.
Caravaggio s unvarnished realism and tenebrism influenced nearly every important European artist
of the seventeenth century. (Stokstad, Cothren). By the end of the 16th century, art began to break
away from the refined and disciplined style of mannerism, heavily influenced by the Counter
Reformation of the Church, and emergence of powerful monarchies. This movement comes to be
known as the Baroque Era. Baroque artists were particularly focused on natural forms, spaces, color,
and the use of light in order to create a strong emotional experience; almost theatrically, inviting the
viewer to participate in the story. The Catholic Church found itself needing to influence and rebuild
its following; turned its attention to the arts. The Counter Reformation used the arts to appeal as
much to the emotions and knowledge

Soccer Team-Personal Narrative
Well, this is it. Today is the day where I finally try out for my school s soccer team. This morning
i woke up startled by the enormously loud sound of an alarm on my friend s phone. His name
was Bailey Ivester. I ve known him since 6th grade year. Boy is he annoying sometimes. Most of
the time he acts like he is the top dog or the best of the best . He stayed over at my house the day
before, we were both supposed to try out for the soccer team. To be honest. He really wasn t that
good at it. Like i said, he thought he was the best of the best . After we woke up Bailey and i ate
breakfast that my motherhad prepared. It was so delicious and very specific. She had made my

We were going against Lexington high school. While we walked onto the field examined the
other team. I had a lot of confidence in myself and tried to hype up my team and gave my team
an inspiring speech when we all came together to form a circle. Next we all walked onto the field
into our positions, i was starting. I was the left forward position. Forwards in soccer are the most
difficult position on the field because that was the position where your suppose to score most of the
points and control the offense. I was always a forward because coach said i had a lot of speed,
agility, and good footwork. At this time the game had started, we had the ball first i passed it to the
other forward on our team. His name was Jimmy, he was the most aggressive forward on our team.
He was a great forward. At this time it was near the end of the game. The score was 3 6 we were
losing terribly. Everybody on our team was tired and bummed out and lost hope. We were all tired
of losing all the time. I saw the emptiness in everyone s eyes. I felt sad as well. While i was running
on the field i heard our goalkeeper named Matias yell out GRAYSON !!. I turned around fast and
forgot everything else. I saw Matias lob the ball down the other side of the field to where i was
running. My eyes were all on that ball, i saw it flying in the air then falling towards me while i
ran as fast as i could to catch up to it. A voice in my head just kept saying, just go for it! . So i
waited at the right moment to where the ball was perfectly positioned to where i was able to
header the ball into the goal. Finally it was that time, i lunged into the air as high as i could, as
soon as i tried to header the ball into the goal in mid air. One of the players on the opponent s
team came out of nowhere!! He was so fast, i don t know where he came from. While i was still
in the air he had jumped towards me to get the ball as well. At this time he had

Martin Luther King Jr. s I Have a Dream speech is one of the most memorable in U.S. History.
This speech in particular had a coherent vision for the blacks and other unrepresented
individuals. Many people were touched by King s veridical words. The sound of his influential
words inspired many to this day. The I Have a Dream speech had a massive impact due to the
tense social mood of the time. The speech was delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in
Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963. Close to a quarter of a million people gathered to urge
congress and President John F. Kennedy to pass a national civil rights bill. Every single person
young or old was listening attentively to King s words. The Whites, Blacks, Catholics and other
minorities that were there, undoubtedly supported Martin Luther King Jr. Every time he said
something equitable the crowd began to roar and cheer intensely. King also used his preacher
techniques during his speech. He raised his hand several times and made appropriate pauses, which

Because more carbon dioxide is being put into the air, there is more absorption by the atmosphere
and more reflection back to the surface, so the surface is getting warmer. Now, what actions are
resulting in the expansion of the greenhouse effect?
Two main causes are burning fossil fuels and driving our cars. According to a NASA earth
observatory web page, fossil fuel burning (coal, oil and gas) releases about 6 billion metric tons
per year. On the EPA web site, it is stated that most of the emissions of greenhouse gases, about
82%, are from burning fossil fuels to generate electricity and power our cars. As I said before,
driving our cars also is a large cause. For example, Ecobridge states that Twenty percent of U.S.
carbon dioxide emissions comes from the burning of gasoline in internal combustion engines of
cars and light trucks. So a fair amount of the emissions is from driving your car.
Deforestation, the cutting and burning of a forest, also increases the amount of carbon dioxide
into the atmosphere. A NASA page says that when a forest is cut and burned to establish cropland
and pastures, the carbon that was stored in the tree trunks (wood is about 50% carbon) joins with
oxygen and is released into the atmosphere as CO2. CO2, is, of

Framing And Reframing
Framing and reframing plays a dynamic role in conflict development. Reframing may cause a shift
in the development of the conflict this will affect the conflict management or the resolution of the
conflict. Framing is built on assumptions we implement whereas reframing challenges these
assumptions to draw alternative solutions. Reframing is a way to identify what is important to you
or others rather than focusing on negative actions or emotions of yourself or others. Focusing on
the positive action, emotion and values will shift our thinking from the negativities and this will
allow the person to be less stressed and more relaxed. For example here is a negative statement and
it s positive reframe. Statement: David never shares information.

  • 2. Kazumi s Zombie Apocalypse The farm is quiet and peaceful. The weak creaking of the barn in the wind and swaying of the leaves as well as various animal noises are the only sounds filling what would be silence. A green field dotted with a plethora of flowers is home to a large red barn and a small yellow house. Kazumi s heavy boots crunching dead leaves and grasses, combine with the natural sounds of the farm. She is dragging a heavy sledgehammer behind her, resulting in a dirty trail cut into the ground. Hopefully this is the proper rendezvous point and everyone survived. A few weeks ago the continent of North America was ravished by an outbreak of unexplainable disease; this resulted in a zombie apocalypse. Many months ago, she and her friends agreed to... • 3. Essay on The Battle of Crete | The Battle of Crete: Important or Insignificant? | The Battle of Crete began May 20th, 1941. Nazi Germany launched an airborne attack called Operation Merkur or Operation Mercury on the island of Crete. This battle will be important because it will hold great influence over the course of the war in the means of power. The Greek, Allied forces and even civilians attempted to defend the island and after day one the Germans suffered heavy casualties. The next day, the Allies were confident they could gain control back but they would have miscommunications that would lead to Germany gaining Maleme Airfield and flying in reinforcements to overwhelm the defenders of the island. This research is being used to answer the question why the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Alan Clarke said that the Germans felt it was forcing them to take over Mussolini s responsibilities in the Balkans in order to secure their southern flank against the Soviets. Knowing this, it begs to question why Hitler had to secure his flank against a country that he was not at war with. Another historian, Graham Ross, also states that Hitler would have to rescue Mussolini from the results of his military incompetence. Mussolini s failure to simply secure the Balkans for Axis power caused a setback in Hitler s plans and therefore caused the Germans to take control. The Italians were much more humane and civilized when it came to fighting compared to that of the Germans, who were cruel and barbaric. This could be the reason why the Italians were unsuccessful in securing the Balkans. The Italians did not have the fighting mentality like the Germans did. Of course there are those such as Murray that beg to differ in opinions about the course of the war. After the Germans had eliminated Greece and Yugoslavia, they decided to make one last objective and that was attacking Crete. Hitler ordered an airborne attack to finish the campaign and secure the Romanian oil fields from threats of bombing. Hitler stated, Crete was the correct choice but such an attack would rely heavily on airborne forces. The Germans had hoped that by taking control of the airfields they could create a bridgehead ... From many centuries ago up until now, tamale recipes have been altered in many ways, they are made in all different sizes, colors, and tastes. Tamales is a traditional dish to serve at holidays, where there is expected to be a big crowd to feed. The homemade recipe is my mother s; her chicken tamales are enriched with two different savory spicy fillings. Cookingmay come easy to some and maybe not so easy to others. However, this dish does take a few hours to prepare, but it is very straightforward and easy with the simple step by step process on how to cook tamales. Being in the kitchen for a few hours is worth the end result of delicious tamales. The dedication and love can be tasted from the first bite, after that bite, there is no stopping there. In order to make chicken tamales, there is quite a grocery list that comes with it. Chicken tamales consist of corn dough filled with a savory chicken filling that is wrapped in cornhusks. The recipe will be broken up to make it easy to follow along. To begin the process of making award winning chicken tamales a big working space in the kitchen is highly recommended. There is where Eden will be! Again he turned, stepping on a log. There will be, Excelsior! When should we start? an engineer asked. I want you to go ahead right away. Start tomorrow. No, start today. Tell the bulldozer crews to spread out across this entire area. I want you surveyors to check the work of the bulldozers, making sure they don t tear down anything they can avoid disturbing. These towns will be the best we can build, Emmanuel said. • 6. The Sexual Orientation Of Parents The sexual orientation of parents, once having a child, does not negatively affect the development of their children. In order to first be a parent, one must obtain a child. However, in Florida, gay foster parents were not allowed to adopt the children they fostered due to the Gay Adoption Ban (Goldberg). Homosexuals were not legally able to adopt a child at all until the forty year old ban was lifted July, 2015 by Governor Rick Scott (Associated Press). Prior to the lifting of the gay adoption ban, female same sex couples could build their families via DI, as opposed to male couples, whose reproductive options were more limited... surrogacy is very expensive (Goldberg 117). Adoption is usually a first option for gay couples due to the inability to reproduce through traditional means. The second, and much more expensive options are insemination for women, and surrogacy for men. Without the option of adoption, many gay couples are not able to have the right to raise a child. Furthermore, the difficulties homosexual couples have to acquire a child make it almost impossible to exercise that right. However, once having a child, he or she is cared for just as any other heterosexual couple would care for a child. The development of children raised by homosexual couples is not significantly different from that raised by heterosexual couples. Children whose parents are gay or lesbian have no more problems with self esteem, psychological adjustment, intellectual capacity, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Fascination Of War Literature War is full of death and destruction, it is full of a lot of things including literature. In war there are no rules, the same is for literature there are no rules the possibility of what to write about is endless. My fascination of war truly began when my grandfather started to open up about what he went through in the Vietnam War. Most soldiers who have went to war and have come back are not the same as when they left. It is very hard for them to talk about what they have been through while at war, but when they talk one should listen because they may never be able to have the strength to tell that story again. One may not realize how much it takes for a Veteran to tell a story of what they went through, because as they are telling the story they are re living the story mentally. Most soldiers are not capable of telling stories without having to go through counseling. In most cases if a soldier was to try to tell a story without counseling, they will freak out thinking they are back in the place that brought them the trauma. In today s world it is mandatory for Veterans to receive counseling to help them with their trauma instead of trying to figure it out their selves. Therefore, war literature is very important because of the meaning behind it all. We should give respect to war literature, especially if it comes from a solider himself. When one should read about war literature they should take into consideration of how hard it might have been for the person to talk ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scientists know the basics: how and what they eat, where and how they live, and how they reproduce. The fact remains, however, that this universally loved national symbol of China is facing the threat of extinction. Pandas have inefficient digestive systems, and must therefore spend more than ten hours a day eating the amount of food needed for necessary nutrients ((1)). While their dental structures have adapted to the bamboo diet their digestive systems remain closer to those of carnivores ((6)). This results in a low percentage of food digestion in comparison to the amount that it actually ingests ((6)). The Giant Panda is currently threatened in a number of ways. The first threats are to their food sources. The Bamboo Rat is a minor, but existent problem that feeds on bamboo roots, killing plants on an individual level ((6)). Bamboo also undergoes phases of growing and then dying as part of the renewal cycle ((7)). This process is not a problem in itself, except for the fact that whereas the pandas might move to a different location to feed, they are running out of places to move because of the expansions of farmland and increased forest clearing ((7)). The greatest threat of all to the Giant Panda is man. The abovementioned land clearing for farms, residential and commercial areas coupled with prowling poachers are the two most serious threats to the panda and its habitat ((3)). Efforts to set up reserves for the pandas have sparked conflicts with locals. When a reserve is established, people are often not compensated for the loss of land that they have used for years, and they are tempted to continue to use the land illegally ((3)). ... Innate Immune System Introduction Zinc is the 24th most abundant element in the earth s crust, it is a metallic chemical element which has exceptional biological importance (Bonaventura et al., 2015). Zn is involved in numerous aspects of cellular metabolism such as: protein synthesis, cellular respiration, wound healing, DNA synthesis, cell division, and immune function (Bonaventura et al., 2015). For as many essential functions Zn is necessary for it also has the potential to interact with at least as many biological functions to induce adverse effects (Maret and Sandstead, 2006). For these reasons Zn deficiency and toxicity is linked to a number of diseases and particularly immune diseases affecting both the innate and adaptive immune systems (Bonaventura et al., 2015, Maares and Haase, 2016).Therefore, a disruption in Zn homeostasis can lead to compromised host defense and an increased risk of excessive inflammation (Maares and Haase, 2016). Innate immune system. Innate immunity is the first line of defense, it is regulated delicately by Zn, when Zn homeostasis is altered all kinds of immune cells show a decrease in function (Ibs and Rink, 2003). When Zn concentrations are depleted, in monocytes all function is impaired, in NK cells cytotoxicity is reduced, and in neutrophil granulocytes phagocytosis is also decreased (Ibs and Rink, 2003). • 35. Taking a Look at Cupping Cupping is a form of therapy in which a glass or bamboo cup is placed onto the acupuncture points of the skin after heat has been applied inside the cup to create a negative pressure. This pressure causes the skin and underlying tissues to rise into the cup. The purpose of this is to make sure that all of the toxins escape the body and increase blood flow around the areas that have been blocked. Cupping originates from China and is widely used to treat areas where there are qi (vital energy) and blood stagnation (Leung, Xue, and Cheng, 40). This flow is interrupted because there is an imbalance in the body. In this case, the imbalance causes musculoskeletal problems, lung problems, as well as swelling. Getting rid of the imbalance allows the qi and blood to flow freely in which diminishes any physical pain and illnesses. In the East, chinese healers first practiced this type of therapy approximately three thousand years ago to treat specific illnesses. They used animal horns because those were the only things that resembled a cup at that time. In addition, this therapy was known as the horn method, (Xiaofei, 242) partially due to the tool that they had to use. However, as technology advanced, bamboo cups replaced animal horns, and eventually glass cups became the primary tool for cupping. Therefore, cupping became the common name for this form of therapy. Imperfect Competition Essay 1.0Introduction In a perfectly competitive market it is assumed that owing to presence of manybuyers and many sellers selling homogeneous products, the actions of any singlebuyer or seller has a negligible impact on the market price of product. This condition is referredas imperfect competition. Barriers to entry are the factors that make it difficult for new firms to enter an industry, which lead to imperfect competition. Generally, the less a food is processed the better He reason for this is simple. For 99.9% of human existence, our species lived on foods that were either raw or minimally processed. • 44. Art Criticism Of The Baroque Era The Musicians In art criticism, the word Baroque came to be used to describe anything irregular, bizarre, or otherwise departing from established rules and proportions, (Britannica, 2016). Caravaggio, born Michelangelo Merisi (1571), an Italian painter, can be said almost single handedly to have created the Baroquestyle during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. None other can be more appropriately defined as Baroque than Caravaggio; his character, like his art, was confrontational and uncompromising, and both loved and hated. He introduced a powerfully frank realism and dramatic, theatrical lighting and gesture into Italian Baroque art. Caravaggio s unvarnished realism and tenebrism influenced nearly every important European artist of the seventeenth century. (Stokstad, Cothren). By the end of the 16th century, art began to break away from the refined and disciplined style of mannerism, heavily influenced by the Counter Reformation of the Church, and emergence of powerful monarchies. This movement comes to be known as the Baroque Era. Baroque artists were particularly focused on natural forms, spaces, color, and the use of light in order to create a strong emotional experience; almost theatrically, inviting the viewer to participate in the story. The Catholic Church found itself needing to influence and rebuild its following; turned its attention to the arts. Now, what actions are resulting in the expansion of the greenhouse effect? Two main causes are burning fossil fuels and driving our cars. According to a NASA earth observatory web page, fossil fuel burning (coal, oil and gas) releases about 6 billion metric tons per year. On the EPA web site, it is stated that most of the emissions of greenhouse gases, about 82%, are from burning fossil fuels to generate electricity and power our cars.
