The male gaze – laura mulvey
Laura Mulvey coined the term "Male Gaze" to describe how audiences view characters from the perspective of a heterosexual male in films. The Male Gaze theory suggests that women are denied human identity and are instead viewed and presented as objects to be admired based on their physical appearance. It also suggests that women can only watch films from the perspective of a man and see themselves through a man's eyes. Features of the Male Gaze include the camera lingering on a woman's body and events involving women being presented in the context of a man's reaction.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Survey Analysis I created an online survey(on the website survey monkey)to find out more aboutmy specific audiencein orderfor me to be able to find out the key features that the readers are looking for in the music magazine,this should make my magazinemore appealingto its specific audienceandtherefore, it should create a senseof false needs.I decidedto create an online survey dueto the modern technologyuseas well as becausepeoplefind more interest to take part. As showedform this image 75% of female and25% answeredthe survey(20 people)therefore, my music magazinewill be mainly aimed at female. This is dueto the results that inform me that more female than male are interested in reading music magazine. This showsthat 95% of the readersare age in between16-18 meaning thatmy magazine will be mainly aimed atteenagers.This means that my music has to be modern. Moreover, the features of the magazineshouldnot be too formal due to the audiencethat the magazine is aimed at. However, just becausethesurvey presentthis result doesnot mean thatI won’t haveolder readersreading my music magazinethis meansthat I shouldmaybe try making it appealingin a way thateveryone could find somethingfor themselvessimilar to ‘Kerrang’ magazine. To make the survey less bias I neededto find out how many peoplethat took part in my survey listen to Rock music; the results are: 50% said yes 15% said no 35% said sometimes This showsthat most of the peoplethat took part in the survey know something aboutrock music and are interested in it. Meaning that rock music is still on top ofthe genresas sociaetystill listens to it. The questionwas:What type of Rock do you listen to? This was to find out whattype ofrock genremy target audienceare intrested in as this will allow me to havearticles, postersand celebratesthat will drag peoples attention. Mostof my specif audienceare youngfemale that probably do not havea job yet therfore, my magazinehas to havea convincingprice for the productto be selled. 60% of the peoplethat took my survey said that the Image drags their attention the mosttherfore, during my production I needto make sure that my image is appealingenoughand hasa good quality in order to creatfalse senceof needsand drag my audienceattention.Moreover, another important is Title and the font it is important that both of them would be informative of the genre of my music magazinebutat the same time they stand outfrom the rest of the image. My magazinewill be a monthly production and therfore I need to make sure that my magazine gives outenoughinformations aboutthe Rock music and it’s celebrates.
