Representation Analysis
Front Page
The magazine that I have chosentoanalyse for
representationis‘Topof the Pops’.I have chosento
analyse thisspecificmagazine asitrelatestothe pop
genre inwhichI will be creatingmyownmagazine in.
On thisfrontcover, there are lots of bandsand artists
whoare popularisedinthe popgenre.One Direction,
ArianaGrande,Rita Ora and George ShelleyfromUnion
J are all on thiscover.
One Direction are the mainimage on the frontcoverof
thismagazine.They are stereotypicallyportrayedas
happy,thrill-seeking,youthful, youngboyswhoare up
for havingsome fun.Thisisportrayedthroughthe way
theyare represented withinthe mainimage of this
magazine.Theyare smilingandlooklike theyare having
a good time witheachother.Theyare also directly
lookingatthe audience throughtheireyesinorderto
have more of a connectionwiththem. The shottype usedinthisimage isa mediumclose up.Thisis
usedas the audience canquicklyidentifywho theyare andwhethertheywouldwanttobuythe
magazine.Thisrelatestotheirreal life representationastheyare alwaysrecognisedquicklybyfans.
By the way theyare positionedinthe image, theyare representedaslaidback.Thisisshown
throughthe way theyare holdingontoeachother, not posingfora photo.Social groupsof boyslike
themare normallyconveyedasstrongand aggressive,however,withthem,theyare unstereotypical
as theyare portrayedasa friendlygroupwhowouldbe kindandcaringfortheirfans.Theyare also
quite youngwhichisstereotypical formagazineslike thisastheywouldwantthe celebritiesto
appeal tothe targetaudience sotheyare able to relate tothemin real life situations. The language
usedto representthem inthismagazine isveryinformal.Thisisstereotypical astheywouldusually
speakquite informallytotheirfansandthisiswhat thistype of magazine wouldwantinthe articles
that theyproduce.Examplesof thislanguage isthe big‘1DUNLEASHED’ in blockcapitals,making
themstandout more than any otherof the artists.Thisisstereotypical asthisintrue inreal life as
theyare usuallyrepresented asoverpoweringotherartists. The mise-en-scene usedinthismagazine
alsohelpstorepresentthe artists.Forexample,the costumesthatOne Directionare wearingare
fashionableandup-to-date. Thisisstereotypical forthemastheyalwayswanttomake a good
impressionandare seentohave a lotof moneytosplashout onclothes.Highkeylighting isusedin
orderto representthemasbeingfunhumanbeings.The spotlightisjustonthemwhichrepresents
themas the most dominantof all. The fontsusedaroundOne Directionare quite feminineandgirly.
Althoughthisisn’tstereotypical, itisforthisTop of the Popsmagazine as the targetaudience are
mainlygirls. Thisrepresentsthe artistsasbeingmore popularwithafemale audience. The colour
usedon thismagazine ismainlyPinkandblue.Theseare brightcolourswhichhelpconnote the idea
of funand modernity.Thishelpstorelate thismagazine tobothfemalesandmales,howeverthe
maintarget audience of thisspecificmagazine isgirls. The boysare surroundedbyadark blue colour
whichhelpsthemstandoutamongstthe otherartists onthe page.Thisrepresentstheminafun,
quirkyway.
Otherartists
The other artistsonthis magazine are againrepresentedashappy, quirkypeople.Thisisshownon
the lefthandside of the page throughthe use of close-upshotsconveyingtheiremotions. George
Shelleyhasaclose close-upthanthe restas he isrepresentedas‘outrageous’anda ‘diva’.Thisis
unstereotypical aswomenare usuallyrepresentedwiththe ‘diva’trait.
Contents Page
The contentspage of thismagazine uses representationinthe
same way as the frontcoverdoes. There are againgroupsof
people andartiststhemselves. The mainartistusedinthisspecific
type of magazine isSelenaGomez. She isafemale soisusually
portrayedas a weakpersonwhoneedshelpandisn’tconfident
withinherself,however,inthe image onthiscontentspage,she is
portrayedunstereotypically.Thisisdue toher social groupsthat
she isusuallyassociatedwithasshe ispart of the musicindustry.
She isan artistof an age that istypical for the readersof this
magazine. The targetaudience of thismagazine are young
children,buttheywouldbe able torelate tothe celebritiesand
artistson thiscontentspage as theyare familiar.Withinher
image,she is portrayedashappy andcontent.Thisis shown
throughher facial expressionsasshe issmiling, asare all the other
artiststhat are beingportrayed. Hercostume isverymodernand
sophisticated,creatingastereotype thatshe isdominantand
outstanding. Thislinkstothe mise-en-scene of thismagazine
beingstereotypical asthe publishersof thismagazine wantsthe artistsinvolvedtobe verymodern
and sophisticated.Herhairisquite stylish,butinasubtle,youthful wayasthisrepresentshow the
publishersof the magazine wouldwanthertobe in orderto attract the targetaudience. The use of
highkeylightingisstereotypical asagain, ithelpsthe artisttostandout from the crowd. It’salso
stereotypical thatthese publishershave chosentoputthe frontcover image ontothe contentspage
as it engagesthe readersmore intothe magazine. The artistiswhite, whichstandsoutasbeing
mainstreamasmostartists withinthismagazine are white. The shottype thathas beenusedisa
mediumclose-up.Thisenablesthe readerstoidentifyhereasilyfromfarawaysois a conventional
shotfor a musicmagazine.Herbodylanguage isquite forwardasshe hasher handson herhipsand
isn’twillingtoholdanythingback.Thisconnotesandportraysher ina way that she wantsto stand
out amongstothers.Thisisstereotypical forapopmagazine asthisis whatthe magazine itself is
tryingto do too.The coloursof yellowandblue use aren’tnecessarilystereotypical toawoman, but
it’sstereotypical tothismagazine beingfor bothyounggenders.
One Directionhave beenphotographedinordertobe highlightedinthismagazine.Theyare withina
highclasssocial group due to havingsomany fansand havingsomanysuccessful toursandalbums
out inthe world.Theyare all 22 and underwhichcreatesanimpressiononthemthattheyare into
the firststagesof adulthood, yetprobablystill have achildishside tothem. Astheyare boys,
stereotypicallytheyare alwaysthoughtof asbeingmore dominantthangirlsandfarmore
aggressive.Forthese boys, thisisn’tthe case astheyare just like girl artistsandinsome respects,
theyare seenaslessdominantthatsomeone likeRihannaforexample. Theyare all of awhite British
originwhichenablesthemtobe stereotypedreallyeasily,yeteveryone withinthe UKhave heard
aboutthemanyway.The body language usedwithintheirimage isveryinformal.Thisis
stereotypicallytrue forthemastheyare a muchlaidback group whoaren’tnecessarilybothered
withwhattheirfansthink.The mise-en-scene usedintheirimage inordertorepresentthemina
certainway. Theyhave all had theirhairstyledina specificwayinorderfor themto have a high
reputationaroundpeople/fans.Theyare alsowearingveryfashionable clotheswhichrepresents
themas beingverymodernartists. The individualsof the bandhave alsochosentowear clothesthat
are the same type as the others,an example of thisiscolour.Thisisstereotypical asitlinkstothe
bandbeinga group wholike doingthingstogether.Highkeylightingisalsousedaroundthemto
helpall of the individualsstandouttogetherasa band.Thisis verystereotypical asboyslike these
whoget lotsof attentionfromgirlswantto be easilyspotted. Editinghasalsobeenusedinorder for
the image of themto stand out.Theyhave croppedtheirheadssothe texthasnot beenputover
them.Thisisstereotypical asthese type of bandsare oneswhichhelpthe magazine tohave more
consumerismsoneedtostandout amongstthe restof the contents. It’salsostereotypical tohave
themon the contentspage as the readerswill automaticallywanttoreadon.
Ontothe textpartsof the contentspage, some imagesthatare usedare cakes,a leopardprint
purse,an image of a love heartand another youngwomanartist. All of these imagesare
stereotypical astheyare alwaysassociatedwithwoman. The womanwhoisshownasbeingon
‘Page 50’ isrepresentedasverystereotypical.Thisisdue tothe mise-en-scene used.She iswearinga
leatherjacketwhichconnotesasense of dangerandsecretive image toher.Blackisassociatedwith
death,yetthe womanlooksveryhappyas she issingingherheartout. Thisisshownthroughthe
image that hasbeenchosen. The readerscansee that she has make-uponandlong,sleekedback
hair whichisstereotypicalas the majorityof womanare usuallyassociatedwithbeingprettyand
elegantineverythingtheydo. Thisisshownthroughthe use of mise-en-scene withcostume and
make-upetc.The use of the highkeylighting,white backgroundbehindher,isstereotypical asit
helpsherto standout amongstall the textthat isaround her, letalone the otherimages. The shot
type usedisa mediumclose-upasyoucan see the tophalf of herbody. Thisis stereotypical asthe
readersare able to identifyherquickly, eventhoughherimage isslightlysmallerthanthe main
ones. Herbody language isquite formal asshe isinthe middle of singingasong. She is
stereotypicallyseenasthe oldestwomanonthe page.Thisisstereotypical asolderwomenare
usuallythoughtof asthe more sophisticated, yetlessdominantadults. The colourof heroutfit, red
and black,are not stereotypical.Thisisbecause,usuallyyouwouldseeartistsinbright,yetvibrant
coloursinorder to helpthemasartistsstand out. However, thisartistisunstereotypical asshe has
chosento dothe complete opposite.Thisenableshertostandout, but inthe leastconventional way
possible.Thisishowshe isrepresentedasamysteriouscharacterasshe isdifferentfromthe rest. It
isnot clear, but thisartistcouldbe froma differentethnicity, thereforethe stereotypesmade about
herare couldbe assumedmuchmore quickly thanartistswitha white Britishorigin. Herbody
language isquite upfrontasshe has hada phototakenwhensinging.Thisconnotesasense of her
not beingscaredor frightenedandisn’tafraidtohide hertalent.Thisisstereotypical forartistsas
theyare keentoshowtheirtalenttoget more fans,butnot necessarilyforolderwomenasthey
probablywouldn’twanttoalwaysbe inthe spotlight.
The use of texton thiscontentspage isquite stereotypical asitusessansserif fontsthroughout. This
type of font isusuallyassociatedwithsophistication,modernityandyouth.Therefore thisisvery
stereotypicallyusedandlinkstothe targetaudience of the magazine beingyoungchildrenwho
wouldpreferthisstyle toamore formal one.
Double Page Spread
Thisarticle isbasedon the major musicsellingartist TaylorSwift. She isawoman,so is
stereotypicallythoughtof asbeingless
dominantand weak.However,due tothe
waythat she has beenrepresentedinthis
double page spread,she’sthe complete
opposite.She isverydominantandlooks
like she couldconqueranythingthatcomes
across herpath. Thisisshownthroughthe
mainimage on the righthand side of the
spread.A mediumclose-upshottype has
beenusedforthisimage.Thisis
stereotypical asthe artistcan be identified
easilyfromthe reader’spointof view.They
can alsoconnect withheremotions
quicker. Herbodylanguage isquite
seductive asshe hasquite a posh,yet
subtle face expressionandisalsopushingherbodybackwhilsthavingherarmscross.It’s almostlike
she istryingher hardestto make an impressiononsomeone.Thisisstereotypical forsomeonelike
Tayloras she wouldlove gettingall the male attention whilstlookingdirectlyatthe camerain order
to try and talkto the reader. Again, there are lotsof elementsof mise-en-sceneusedwithinthis
mainimage.Taylorhas chosentogo for a quite casual lookto connote the youthful lookandfeel of
the magazine. She haschosento have a laidback hairstyle thatistuckedbehindherearsatone side.
Thisconnotesa quite innocent,yetelegantlooktoher.She thenwearsaveryplainT-Shirtthatis in
a purple colour. She alsohas some statementjewelleryonsuchasa braceletandbiglooped
earrings,whichgivesheroutfitmore of afeminine feeltoit.Thisrepresentsherasa personwhois
reallyfeminineforhergender,andthatshe definitelyisn’tatomboy. Hermake-upisalsoglowing,
makingherface lookyoungand radiant.Thisconstructs the image of the artist beingyouthful, yet
verysophisticatedandmodernasshe haschosento representherself inthatway. Herethnicityis
white British, therefore people are quicktothinkof waysin whichthe personisstereotypically. The
otherimagesusedof Taylorcreate the exactsame impression. The image atthe top of the leftpage
representsherasquite acharacter. Thisis due to the image of her lookingatthe camera pouting,
whilstholdingupacookingappliance.She isconveyedasapersonwhoanyone wouldbe able to
have funwith, whichthrowsthe stereotype of herstraightoutof the bag. The language usedaround
heris stereotypical asit’sinformalandchattydue to thisdouble page spreadbeing aninterview.
Thisrepresentsherinthe same waywhichisstereotypical too.The coloursusedare mainlypinkand
purple which representsTaylorinareallyfeminine way.Thisisstereotypical asshe isverygirlyand
lovesshoppingetcasitsays withinthe article.

Representation analysis

  • 1. Representation Analysis Front Page The magazine that I have chosentoanalyse for representationis‘Topof the Pops’.I have chosento analyse thisspecificmagazine asitrelatestothe pop genre inwhichI will be creatingmyownmagazine in. On thisfrontcover, there are lots of bandsand artists whoare popularisedinthe popgenre. One Direction, ArianaGrande,Rita Ora and George ShelleyfromUnion J are all on thiscover. One Direction are the mainimage on the frontcoverof thismagazine. They are stereotypicallyportrayedas happy,thrill-seeking,youthful, youngboyswhoare up for havingsome fun.Thisisportrayedthroughthe way theyare represented withinthe mainimage of this magazine.Theyare smilingandlooklike theyare having a good time witheachother.Theyare also directly lookingatthe audience throughtheireyesinorderto have more of a connectionwiththem. The shottype usedinthisimage isa mediumclose up.Thisis usedas the audience canquicklyidentifywho theyare andwhethertheywouldwanttobuythe magazine.Thisrelatestotheirreal life representationastheyare alwaysrecognisedquicklybyfans. By the way theyare positionedinthe image, theyare representedaslaidback.Thisisshown throughthe way theyare holdingontoeachother, not posingfora photo.Social groupsof boyslike themare normallyconveyedasstrongand aggressive, however, withthem, theyare unstereotypical as theyare portrayedasa friendlygroupwhowouldbe kindandcaringfortheirfans.Theyare also quite youngwhichisstereotypical formagazineslike thisastheywouldwantthe celebritiesto appeal tothe targetaudience sotheyare able to relate tothemin real life situations. The language usedto representthem inthismagazine isveryinformal.Thisisstereotypical astheywouldusually speakquite informallytotheirfansandthisiswhat thistype of magazine wouldwantinthe articles that theyproduce.Examplesof thislanguage isthe big‘1DUNLEASHED’ in blockcapitals, making themstandout more than any otherof the artists.Thisisstereotypical asthisintrue inreal life as theyare usuallyrepresented asoverpoweringotherartists. The mise-en-scene usedinthismagazine alsohelpstorepresentthe artists.Forexample, the costumesthatOne Directionare wearingare fashionableandup-to-date. Thisisstereotypical forthemastheyalwayswanttomake a good impressionandare seentohave a lotof moneytosplashout onclothes.Highkeylighting isusedin orderto representthemasbeingfunhumanbeings. The spotlightisjustonthemwhichrepresents themas the most dominantof all. The fontsusedaroundOne Directionare quite feminineandgirly. Althoughthisisn’tstereotypical, itisforthisTop of the Popsmagazine as the targetaudience are mainlygirls. Thisrepresentsthe artistsasbeingmore popularwithafemale audience. The colour usedon thismagazine ismainlyPinkandblue.Theseare brightcolourswhichhelpconnote the idea of funand modernity.Thishelpstorelate thismagazine tobothfemalesandmales, howeverthe maintarget audience of thisspecificmagazine isgirls. The boysare surroundedbyadark blue colour whichhelpsthemstandoutamongstthe otherartists onthe page.Thisrepresentstheminafun, quirkyway. George Shelleyhasaclose close-upthanthe restas he isrepresentedas‘outrageous’anda ‘diva’.Thisis unstereotypical aswomenare usuallyrepresentedwiththe ‘diva’trait. Contents Page The contentspage of thismagazine uses representationinthe same way as the frontcoverdoes. There are againgroupsof people andartiststhemselves. The mainartistusedinthisspecific type of magazine isSelenaGomez. She isafemale soisusually portrayedas a weakpersonwhoneedshelpandisn’tconfident withinherself, however, inthe image onthiscontentspage, she is portrayedunstereotypically.Thisisdue toher social groupsthat she isusuallyassociatedwithasshe ispart of the musicindustry. She isan artistof an age that istypical for the readersof this magazine. The targetaudience of thismagazine are young children, buttheywouldbe able torelate tothe celebritiesand artistson thiscontentspage as theyare familiar.Withinher image, she is portrayedashappy andcontent.Thisis shown throughher facial expressionsasshe issmiling, asare all the other artiststhat are beingportrayed. Hercostume isverymodernand sophisticated, creatingastereotype thatshe isdominantand outstanding. Thislinkstothe mise-en-scene of thismagazine beingstereotypical asthe publishersof thismagazine wantsthe artistsinvolvedtobe verymodern and sophisticated.Herhairisquite stylish, butinasubtle, youthful wayasthisrepresentshow the publishersof the magazine wouldwanthertobe in orderto attract the targetaudience. The use of highkeylightingisstereotypical asagain, ithelpsthe artisttostandout from the crowd. It’salso stereotypical thatthese publishershave chosentoputthe frontcover image ontothe contentspage as it engagesthe readersmore intothe magazine. The artistiswhite, whichstandsoutasbeing mainstreamasmostartists withinthismagazine are white. The shottype thathas beenusedisa mediumclose-up.Thisenablesthe readerstoidentifyhereasilyfromfarawaysois a conventional shotfor a musicmagazine.Herbodylanguage isquite forwardasshe hasher handson herhipsand isn’twillingtoholdanythingback.Thisconnotesandportraysher ina way that she wantsto stand out amongstothers.Thisisstereotypical forapopmagazine asthisis whatthe magazine itself is tryingto do too.The coloursof yellowandblue use aren’tnecessarilystereotypical toawoman, but it’sstereotypical tothismagazine beingfor bothyounggenders. One Directionhave beenphotographedinordertobe highlightedinthismagazine.Theyare withina highclasssocial group due to havingsomany fansand havingsomanysuccessful toursandalbums out inthe world.Theyare all 22 and underwhichcreatesanimpressiononthemthattheyare into the firststagesof adulthood, yetprobablystill have achildishside tothem. Astheyare boys, stereotypicallytheyare alwaysthoughtof asbeingmore dominantthangirlsandfarmore aggressive.Forthese boys, thisisn’tthe case astheyare just like girl artistsandinsome respects, theyare seenaslessdominantthatsomeone likeRihannaforexample. Theyare all of awhite British originwhichenablesthemtobe stereotypedreallyeasily, yeteveryone withinthe UKhave heard aboutthemanyway. The body language usedwithintheirimage isveryinformal.Thisis stereotypicallytrue forthemastheyare a muchlaidback group whoaren’tnecessarilybothered withwhattheirfansthink. The mise-en-scene usedintheirimage inordertorepresentthemina

Theyhave all had theirhairstyledina specificwayinorderfor themto have a high reputationaroundpeople/fans.Theyare alsowearingveryfashionable clotheswhichrepresents themas beingverymodernartists. The individualsof the bandhave alsochosentowear clothesthat are the same type as the others,an example of thisiscolour.Thisisstereotypical asitlinkstothe bandbeinga group wholike doingthingstogether.Highkeylightingisalsousedaroundthemto helpall of the individualsstandouttogetherasa band.Thisis verystereotypical asboyslike these whoget lotsof attentionfromgirlswantto be easilyspotted. Editinghasalsobeenusedinorder for the image of themto stand out.Theyhave croppedtheirheadssothe texthasnot beenputover them.Thisisstereotypical asthese type of bandsare oneswhichhelpthe magazine tohave more consumerismsoneedtostandout amongstthe restof the contents. It’salsostereotypical tohave themon the contentspage as the readerswill automaticallywanttoreadon. Ontothe textpartsof the contentspage, some imagesthatare usedare cakes,a leopardprint purse,an image of a love heartand another youngwomanartist. All of these imagesare stereotypical astheyare alwaysassociatedwithwoman. The womanwhoisshownasbeingon ‘Page 50’ isrepresentedasverystereotypical.Thisisdue tothe mise-en-scene used. She iswearinga leatherjacketwhichconnotesasense of dangerandsecretive image toher.Blackisassociatedwith death, yetthe womanlooksveryhappyas she issingingherheartout. Thisisshownthroughthe image that hasbeenchosen. The readerscansee that she has make-uponandlong,sleekedback hair whichisstereotypicalas the majorityof womanare usuallyassociatedwithbeingprettyand elegantineverythingtheydo. Thisisshownthroughthe use of mise-en-scene withcostume and make-upetc.The use of the highkeylighting, white backgroundbehindher, isstereotypical asit helpsherto standout amongstall the textthat isaround her, letalone the otherimages. The shot type usedisa mediumclose-upasyoucan see the tophalf of herbody. Thisis stereotypical asthe readersare able to identifyherquickly, eventhoughherimage isslightlysmallerthanthe main ones. Herbody language isquite formal asshe isinthe middle of singingasong. She is stereotypicallyseenasthe oldestwomanonthe page.Thisisstereotypical asolderwomenare usuallythoughtof asthe more sophisticated, yetlessdominantadults. The colourof heroutfit, red and black, are not stereotypical.Thisisbecause, usuallyyouwouldseeartistsinbright, yetvibrant coloursinorder to helpthemasartistsstand out. However, thisartistisunstereotypical asshe has chosento dothe complete opposite.Thisenableshertostandout, but inthe leastconventional way possible.Thisishowshe isrepresentedasamysteriouscharacterasshe isdifferentfromthe rest. It isnot clear, but thisartistcouldbe froma differentethnicity, thereforethe stereotypesmade about herare couldbe assumedmuchmore quickly thanartistswitha white Britishorigin. Herbody language isquite upfrontasshe has hada phototakenwhensinging.Thisconnotesasense of her not beingscaredor frightenedandisn’tafraidtohide hertalent.Thisisstereotypical forartistsas theyare keentoshowtheirtalenttoget more fans, butnot necessarilyforolderwomenasthey probablywouldn’twanttoalwaysbe inthe spotlight. The use of texton thiscontentspage isquite stereotypical asitusessansserif fontsthroughout. This type of font isusuallyassociatedwithsophistication, modernityandyouth. Therefore thisisvery stereotypicallyusedandlinkstothe targetaudience of the magazine beingyoungchildrenwho wouldpreferthisstyle toamore formal one. Double Page Spread
  • 4. Thisarticle isbasedon the major musicsellingartist TaylorSwift. She isawoman,so is stereotypicallythoughtof asbeingless dominantand weak. However, due tothe waythat she has beenrepresentedinthis double page spread, she’sthe complete opposite. She isverydominantandlooks like she couldconqueranythingthatcomes across herpath. Thisisshownthroughthe mainimage on the righthand side of the spread.A mediumclose-upshottype has beenusedforthisimage.Thisis stereotypical asthe artistcan be identified easilyfromthe reader’spointof view. They can alsoconnect withheremotions quicker. Herbodylanguage isquite seductive asshe hasquite a posh, yet subtle face expressionandisalsopushingherbodybackwhilsthavingherarmscross. It’s almostlike she istryingher hardestto make an impressiononsomeone.Thisisstereotypical forsomeonelike Tayloras she wouldlove gettingall the male attention whilstlookingdirectlyatthe camerain order to try and talkto the reader. Again, there are lotsof elementsof mise-en-sceneusedwithinthis mainimage.Taylorhas chosentogo for a quite casual lookto connote the youthful lookandfeel of the magazine. She haschosento have a laidback hairstyle thatistuckedbehindherearsatone side. Thisconnotesa quite innocent, yetelegantlooktoher. She thenwearsaveryplainT-Shirtthatis in a purple colour. She alsohas some statementjewelleryonsuchasa braceletandbiglooped earrings, whichgivesheroutfitmore of afeminine feeltoit.Thisrepresentsherasa personwhois reallyfeminineforhergender, andthatshe definitelyisn’tatomboy. Hermake-upisalsoglowing, makingherface lookyoungand radiant.Thisconstructs the image of the artist beingyouthful, yet verysophisticatedandmodernasshe haschosento representherself inthatway. Herethnicityis white British, therefore people are quicktothinkof waysin whichthe personisstereotypically. The otherimagesusedof Taylorcreate the exactsame impression. The image atthe top of the leftpage representsherasquite acharacter. Thisis due to the image of her lookingatthe camera pouting, whilstholdingupacookingappliance. She isconveyedasapersonwhoanyone wouldbe able to have funwith, whichthrowsthe stereotype of herstraightoutof the bag. The language usedaround heris stereotypical asit’sinformalandchattydue to thisdouble page spreadbeing aninterview. Thisrepresentsherinthe same waywhichisstereotypical too.The coloursusedare mainlypinkand purple which representsTaylorinareallyfeminine way.Thisisstereotypical asshe isverygirlyand lovesshoppingetcasitsays withinthe article.
