The document summarizes the results of a survey about music magazine preferences. The survey found that the target audience for a new music magazine should be young adults interested in indie/alternative music. Most survey respondents were ages 13-17 and listened to indie/alternative music. Over 3/4 of respondents did not regularly read music magazines due to cost or lack of interest. However, many said they would be open to downloading a free music app. Based on these findings, the author concludes that a successful new magazine should cater mainly to indie/alternative fans but also include some pop and rock content, and consider offering a free mobile app version to appeal to broader audience.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Music Magazine: Market Research Report
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/22DWMDN
I have created this survey onlineso that I can retrieve qualitativeand quantitativedata regardingdifferent
people’s opinions on music magazines. This is so thatI can get ideas on how I will createmy own music
magazine. This is a primary research survey, with a target audience of 13-21.This survey is slightly biased
towards females, as more females answered my survey than males, however, I think I have received a good
amount of information.
This graph to the left shows the age ranges of the people
who have taken my survey. It is evident that ages 13-17
were the most common (55.56%), meaning this would be
the most sensibletargetaudience for my magazine.
However, the 36-44 age range is the second most popular.
Because of this,I could increasethe range of my target
audience, and includearticles and bands thatthe older
generations would liketo read about.
My next questionaskedthe surveytaker whether they
are employedor not. I asked this questionas it would
indicate how priceythe magazine would be, if
someone has a jobandtherefore a steadysource of
income, theymaybe ore willingto spendmore ona
magazine, whereas someone who is unemployed and
without income probablywouldn’t want to spendtheir
moneyon a magazine. Myresults showthat most of
the people (62%)whotookmysurveyare in
employment, andtherefore couldprobablyafford to
spend more on luxuries such as magazines. However,
just because most people taking mysurveyare
employed, doesn’t meanthe price of the magazine will
be high, as I willneed to cater to all people wholike to
read music magazines, whether theyare employedor
not.
This graph indicates that more females have takenthe
surveythanmales,. Bycollecting thisinformation, I now
know that a majorityof the answers givenwithin the
surveywere givenbyfemales, rather thanmales. I would
rather have anequal balance of males andfemales,
because this would meanthat myanswers are split more
evenly, andI couldhave more of an insight intowhat the
different genders like specifically.
2. LydiaJudge
The graph to the left highlights thatjustover ¾ of participants
do not read music magazines. Now that I have this data, I will
look at why they don’t liketo read magazines, and try to
persuade them to read them with the magazinethat I will
create.
Here are some ofthe answers I receivedwhenI askedthe
participants whytheydidn’t read music magazines. Manyof
the answers are about price, andhowpeople aren’t
interestedenoughin music to spendmoneyon a magazine.
To adapt mymagazine to the taste of the audience, I would
include a wide range of content sothat it wouldinterest
everyone, and make it a lower price than other music
magazinessuchas Kerrang. Another possibilitythat would
solve this issue wouldbe a free mobile appthat wouldcater
the needs of individual music tastes- therefore pleasing
everyone, and costingnothing.
The bar chart on the left indicates what kinds ofmusic
magazine are most commonlyheard of. Overall, 96.3% of
people who tookpart inmysurveyhave heardof Kerrang
magazine, whichis a rock/metalmagazine targetedmainly
at young adult males. Because thisis the most commonly
heard ofmagazine, it leads me to believe that this is one of
the most popular music magazinesinstores, therefore it
must be aninteresting read and appealto a lot ofpeople;
this is what makes a magazine successful.
From this graphit is clear that the most popular music
genre amongst the participants was indie/alternative. This
informationtells me that an indie magazine wouldprobably
be the best one to produce, as it wouldinterest a lot more
people than a metal magazine, as only13% of peoplelisten
to that genre. However, to appeal to everyone, the best
magazine would include mainlyindie/alternative music
news, but alsoincorporate other popular genres suchas
pop androck, as thiswouldappeal to anevenwider
audience.
3. LydiaJudge
In conclusion, mysurveyhasshownme thatmy magazine shouldappeal toayoungadult audience
whoare interestedinindie/alternativemusicforthe mostsuccessful results.Iwouldaimmy
magazine atpeople in these criteria, asthese are the people thatthe magazine wouldappeal to
most.To appeal to an evenwideraudience,Icouldincludeartistsinthe pop/rockgenrestoo.
I asked those doing my survey what social media
platforms they used, as I thought that this would be
one of the most common ways to receive news about
music.Different social medias would also bea good
way to advertise your music magazine, as you would
be reachinga wider audience. The chartshows that
almostall (88.68%) of participants in my survey use
Facebook, therefore this social media platformwould
be a very successful way to promote your magazine.
I alsoaskedthe surveytakershowtheylistento
music.YouTube wasby far the mostpopular
platform,withvinyl beingthe least.Iaskedthisasit
may appeal tosome people have adownloadchart,
or an albumchart withinthe magazine,toletpeople
knowthe most popularsongsof the moment.
My survey shows that 72% of people would, if
given the opportunity, download a free music app
to their phones. I feel likepeople may prefer this to
a physical magazine,as itwould be free, and they
wouldn’t have to waste their money if they weren’t
interested in certain bands. The audiencewould be
free to browse whichever bands or artists they are
interested in,without payingto look at the
bands/artiststhatthey aren’t. People may not
want to download a free app as their interest in
music may not be broad enough, it may seem likea
waste of their time.
