Nella presentazione si procederà all’illustrazione dei principali link tra scenari e ricadute sul SCM: tra gli scenari si annoverano ad esempio la Globalizzazione dei sistemi logistico produttivi e la Decentralizzazione e deverticalizazione, con ricadute quali la necessità di gestire la complessità in termini di articolazione societaria, la necessità di gestire la coesistenza di filiali e plant “nel mondo” ed il fabbisogno di visibility; un altro trend è la priorità alla competizione sul tempo senza dimenticarsi il costo, che si traduce in fabbisogno di sistemi che assicurino sia date di consegna “veritiere”, sia ottimizzazione dei piani, in fabbisogno di integrare controllo capacità e controllo disponibilità di materiali in sede di Planning ed infine nella necessità di Integrazione (visibility) dello shop floor interno e degli avanzamenti presso i partner esterni; infine la competizione sempre di più sulla diversificazione, fatto che porta alla “mass customization” in quasi tutti i settori, e quindi gamme sempre più ampie, prodotti sempre più complessi e personalizzati e ciclo di vita dei prodotti sempre più breve, fattori che si traducono in un fabbisogno di supportare il pianificatore e/o programmatore con strumenti agili (tempi di risposta veloci), orientati alla simulazione e che che assicurino la massima visibilità sugli avanzamenti, nonché in fabbisogno di gestire l’incertezza (portafogli certi solo a breve) ed in fabbisogno di velocity nel processo decisionale.
