Dear Parents,
25 - 29 April
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 Over the next half term we will be looking at the musical story of Peter
and the Wolf by Prokofiev. As we listen to the music we will talk about the
different characters, what they are feeling and how the instruments used
in the story reflect the emotions of the characters.
 In the creative area we will be looking at different colours and how they
can be mixed together to create new colours. We will also be exploring
how we can make colours lighter and darker.
Activities to do at home
 Listen to the CD Peter and the Wolf or look online for clips from the story.
Encourage your child to tell you what is going on and how the characters
might be feeling.
 Encourage your child to be responsible for tidying up their own toys. In
Preschool we all work together to tidy up and we talk to the children
about their responsibility in helping to look after the toys and equipment.
Notices
 Please bring in any Sainsbury’s vouchers you may have.
 If any of you have not returned the Activity Packs please do so as soon as
possible.
 We will be open as normal for election day on Thursday 5 May.
 We will be closed next Monday 2 May as it is a bank holiday.
