What Are The Effects Of Bull Run On The Civil War
Bull Run was the first major land battle of the American Civil War. This battle shaped the war that was
to come, showing both sides that it was going to be much longer and bloodier than expected. The first
battle of Bull Run began near a small stream (Bull Run) in NE Virginia, and about 30 miles SW of
Washington DC. The Battle began on July 21st, 1861, this battle was also the first preeminent
undertaking of the Civil War. The Civil War had started a couple months before Bull Run at the battle
at Fort Sumter. Both sides were hopeful that the war would be quick and over soon. The south thought
if they could take another victory, the north would just give up and leave the confederate states as they
were. While at the same time many from the north

ICE FILI FIVE FORCES
Ashley Springer Ice Fili case analysis November 22, 2012 Through tough times in the Russian ice
cream market; one company has one company has pulled their weight and maintained their position on
top. Established in 1937; Ice Fili has survived the change in government, financial hard times, and the
ever growing competition from international companies. However, given these events their market
share, which was once dominated by Ice Fili, has been significantly reduced. In fact the Harvard
Business School s 2005 revision of the Ice Fili case study states that in just a few years the market
share decreased by a half billion dollars. This downfall has posed the CEO of Ice Fili, Anatoliy

Quality also leads to the decision of where to purchase from. Ice Fili is a good choice for quality
because it is one of their goals for service. Substitution: As a choice for an easy and inexpensive snack
ice cream can be easily substituted. Switching costs between alternatives are very low because the
consumer can service many products using what they already own. Also the end consumer can easily
choose to purchase yogurt, soda, chocolates, or other candies. Rivalry: Rivalry is high in the Russian
ice cream industry. Many companies exist to sell a highly undifferentiated product. Imported brand are
not only sold by the Russian market, but also welcomed by government. The Ice Fili product is
quickly perishable. These foreign companies produce the product differently by adding preservatives
which in the long run lowers costs due to extended shelf life. Also the technology is more recent and
more innovative in the foreign companies, which, lets them have the top of the line products that Ice
Fili is incapable of producing without putting more money into new equipment. The companies that
compete with Ice Fili have another advantage because they choose to produce and market for a wider
customer base. They sell the ice cream at more places than just the kiosks that Ice Fili sells at, because
they produce more than ice cream. Lastly, the ice cream industry has no growth. In recent years they
actually have a shrinking

Rapid Performance Appraisal
Once rapid response statistics, literature research, and evaluation of SAHS protocols were
acknowledged, the application of interventions was initiated. The first intervention performed was
establishing a power point presentation for new nursing graduates and new hires with information on
current rapid response procedure containing best practice and statistical evidence. By collaborating
with stakeholders and assembling the information gathered in the planning stages, a power point
presentation was generated. The presentation was applied to multiple new hires and new graduate
orientations to educate the incoming staff members of the rapid response system. The reasoning for

produced for all medical professional to receive hospital specific information about the rapid response
system by its main operators. Survey A consisted of seven different questions on the current rapid
response system effectiveness, how to make the resource more efficient, any barriers, more education
to implement, reasoning for calling, and using a nurse as a consultation. This particular survey
generated 40 replies from different medical professionals within the hospital. Questions on the survey
ranged from subjective to quantifiable data feedback dependent on the question. On survey A, the
question asked how to make the rapid response more efficient. The feedback for this answer was
subjective with staff members stating encourage it more , more education , and need to use it sooner
rather than later (citation). A different question was asked on the barriers of initiation. Employees
stated, lack of knowledge, current call system is not quick enough nor efficient, fear of calling, and not

What is PAYE?
PAYE or Pay As You Earn is the system of collecting tax or pension within a tax year, which starts on
6 April of the present year and ends on 5 April the next year.
Three parties are involved in the entire process you, your employer and HMRC. If there are
discrepancies in your tax code or the tax deduction itself, you can complain to either your employer or
HMRC.
The frequency with which tax is deducted depends on how often you will get paid, whether it s weekly
or monthly. Some pensions, however, are only taxed every quarter of a year or once a year.
How does PAYE work?
HMRC will be responsible for calculating your tax code and then providing it to your employer. When
required, the agency will send you a PAYE coding notice that shows how your code number was
worked out. If you didn t receive any, you can ask one from HMRC.
Based on the tax code, your employer will then calculate how much tax will be deducted from your
pay or pension. Whatever deductions made will then be paid over to

Pascal s Wager Rhetorical Analysis
Pascal acknowledges that a belief in God s existence cannot be supported by argument or evidence,
but claims that religious belief is a rational necessity. This essay will address how Pascal presents his
argument, and how it is in our interest to believe in god. I will argue that Pascal s Wager has
weaknesses due to its reliance on an overly simplistic judgement, and will contemplate how Pascal
may reply to such criticisms. I will conclude with an evaluation that questions why a believer is
superior to a disbeliever, and whether one can truly coerce themselves to believe in god s existence.
Pascal s Wager is the attempt to justify belief in the Christian God not with an appeal to evidence for
his existence but rather with an appeal to self interest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pascal s Wager exclusively addresses the Christian God out of an infinite number of possible Gods.
With no further information, the laws of probability mean that inadvertently worshiping the wrong
God is a practical certainty. Only when the probability of a particular God existing increases does
Pascal s Wager become viable, that is, if one God could be proven to have higher likelihood of
existing than any other God, Pascal s Wager would represent a clear benefit. Seeing as no god is
empirically provable, the most rational decision would be to choose the religion that rewards believers
with the best heaven, and disbelievers with the worse hell. In that case we should chose to worship the
Invisible Pink Unicorns (IPU) because they have an infinite bad hell and an infinitely wonderful
heaven. Considering that this theory cannot be disproven, if the probability is only close to zero we
still have infinite gain/loss since infinity times any positive value is still infinity. Hence for anyone
constrained by a bias towards a particular God, the Wager will suit their belief. However rationality
suggests that wagering solely for the Christian God is not your best

How to Become a Translator
How to Become a Translator
The industry of language translation is gaining momentum quite rapidly than it has fifteen years ago.
It has grown to be regarded as one of the most promising career opportunities at this age of digital
technology. Businesses and individuals have created a greater and increasingly stable demand for
human translators. Linguists now have minimal fear of being saturated in their profession because of a
teeming demand for translation projects. The emergence of machine translation and computer aided
translation has helped the industry contrary to some people who deemed these tools as unfavorable,
threatening to extinguish human linguists with such technology. It has, in fact, made the human
translator an inevitable component of the translation process. Aware of the restrictions and limits of
what these tools can do, the human translator is still the one in control of the whole process. Human
logic and knowledge cannot be replaced with machines or any other tools. Machines can only interpret
data and concept up to a certain degree; they cannot translate concepts. Only the complexities of the
human brain can grasp these often technical and difficult processes.
Given the important functions that human linguists play in content translation for business expansion
and product localization, the demand for translators is seen to go up in the ensuing years. This means
that here will be a steady flow of jobs for more translators all over the world. Is language

Dualism Argument Essay
You bring up some interesting points. Firstly, as I pointed out in my original post, I do not think
chemical imbalances and defects in the brain that cause a mental change in a person are considered
mental illness . Rather, I would consider them neurological defects that, given the proper tools and/or
medicine (possibly technology that we have not yet been able to create or invent yet), can be corrected
to average or normal levels.
Secondly, yes you are right that the brain is indeed not within the stomach. However, I would
encourage you to look into the Psychology school of thought known as Dualism. This philosophy not

The election of 1972 was one of the largest landslide victories by a presidential candidate in United

Muskie also had some strong opponents for the democratic nomination for president. Hubert
Humphrey who lost to Nixon in 1968 was seen as a possible contender, along with Alabama Governor
George Wallace, and Senator George McGovern of South Dakota. Muskie s campaign was crippled
when he only won the New Hampshire primary with 47 percent of the vote compared to the 65
percent he was predicted to receive. Followed by bad publicity and his fourth place finish in Florida
Muskie began to finish poorly in the remaining primaries. When McGovern won Massachusetts
Muskie halted his campaign. Wallace was still considered a possible contender until an attempt to
assassinate him left Wallace paralyzed and he thus withdrew from the campaign. Humphrey and
McGovern were the remaining contenders. The California primary was one that left the Democratic
Party divided. In debates between Humphrey and McGovern, Humphrey accused McGovern of being
too liberal. Although McGovern won California, he won by a narrower margin than expected, which
seemed to show that Humphrey s attacks had taken their toll. McGovern won most of the remaining
primaries and received the democratic nomination for president. Although McGovern received the
nomination, a divided Democratic Party may have hurt his campaign early on.

any modern day election. The war in Vietnam was a hotbed of

The Impressions Of Timothy Treadwell s Grizzly Man
Imagine voluntarily getting into a cage with wild Grizzly Bears, and having nothing to defend
yourself. This is what Timothy Treadwell did, except he upped the ante and chose to live alongside the
Grizzly Bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska. The last 13 years of Treadwell s life, he spent the
summer months living with the bears. Grizzly Man is a film that was created by Werner Herzog. The
film show contains content that Treadwell filmed himself, as well as portions filmed after his death,
that have Werner interacting with people who knew Timothy very well. I believe that this film is very
well put together and does a great job of showing Treadwell s interactions with the bears, with
minimal input from the narrator. I enjoy this part of the film because it allows you to form your own
opinion of Treadwell and see what he thinks is best for himself and the bears. In this paper, I will be
touching on how Treadwell s actions throughout the film relate to writings done by; Michael Nelson,
J. Baird Callicott, and Reed Noss. Some of Nelson s wilderness preservation arguments fit right
alongside what Treadwell is doing on his expeditions. Calllicot and Noss focus on wilderness
alternatives and the impact that humans have on the environment. My first impressions of Timothy
Treadwell were that there is no possible way this man has become one of the bears and spends most of
his time right next to them. He looked weak to me and someone who could easily be dispatched of.

Internet Dangers
As advancements in technology continue to exceed expectations, the internet starts to present itself
more as a reliable tool than a technological breakthrough. With every passing year, people take for
granted what a powerful asset the internet can truly be. However, common sense would suggest that,
every powerful tool comes with a significant risk. The risk takes the form of every lewd, violent, and
undesirable website which exists in the vast network of information. Some possess knowledge
extensive enough to avoid these dangerous sites, but those who are young and blissfully ignorant of
the unseen nature of the internet cannot possibly be expected to avoid these dangers on their own.
Therefore, in order to protect the minds, hearts, and futures of the younger generation, precautionary
measures should be taken to prevent children from accessing or stumbling upon sites which, by no
means, should ever be seen by children.
It is said that over 30 percent of all data transferred across the internet is pornography (Kleinman,
2017). With much of this content being easy to access and free to view, it comes as no surprise that
numerous children find themselve viewing explicit content. A study was done that shows up to fifteen
percent of all 12 17 year olds view pornography through online sources or other means, this includes
unwanted exposure. The study also states that 70 percent of 15 17 year old internet users report
stumbling upon pornography quite often. Teens who have had

lengthened. There are a significant number of people with irreversible loss of vision, in spite of the
best possible therapy, who also possess some degree of useful residual vision, termed as low vision.
This impaired vision not only affects their daily living activities but also increases their dependence on
other people. The current investigation sought to focus on the impact of low vision services and to
address the barriers involved in visual rehabilitation of adults (16 to 60 years).
Different individuals undergo different experiences with reference to low vision, and may show
variable responses to low vision rehabilitation. Ultimately, an individual suffering from low vision has
to accept his/her disorder and should strive to obtain the best final outcome. This necessitates the
initiation of new programs, or

Factory Farms Vs Factory Farming
Where does the food humans consume come from. Probably not, if foods placed on the plate most find
satisfaction with that. But, most of the food humans consume probably comes from factory farms.
Factory farms consist of large buildings that confine animals in order to prevent diseases but also to
produce food fast and more efficiently. Factory farms help produce more food to feed the world.
World hunger continues to be a growing issue and has caused issues for quite some time. Factory
farms increase production and help feed the world. Due to an increase in population factory farms
holds the world s food supply in check. Factory farms produce more animals in a quicker matter than
any other place. Factory farms help contain waste and help stop some environmental problems that
come with raising livestock. One problem that concerns most happens to be the disposal of animal
waste. With their waste being captured in a pit under the confinement factory farms help stop the
spread of pollution that comes from livestock.
One example of a factory farm in use, a major producing company Tyson foods. At Tyson foods 33
day old chickens weigh enough to be slaughtered. This goes to show that factory farms need to be
used in order to feed the world. Factory farms raise food more efficient than any other place. Brett
Hendricks Tyson foods responsible for 7 million birds alone. Tyson foods, a factory farms that has

The Physics Of The Universe Beyond Earth
Astronomers are the type of scientists who study the physics of the universe beyond Earth. Galileo
Galilei is a famous astronomer and is often known as the father of modern astronomy. He created the
first telescope with 30x magnification. Nicolaus Copernicus was a famous Polish astronomer who
established the concept that the Sun, rather than the Earth, is the center of the solar system and is Earth
s main source of light. His discovery lead to the concept that the Earth and other planets rotate around
the Sun. Therefore, because of his discovery, he changed the way people viewed our solar system.

Key Communication Failures That Were Exposed During...
Freeman Teague Jr. effectively expresses the importance and complexity of communication. At one
time the U.S. Army defined communication as the exchange and flow of information and ideas from
one person to another; it involves a sender transmitting an idea, information, or feeling to a receiver
(Clark, 2015). Throughout this paper we will expound on key communication failures that were
exposed during Operation Anaconda. The overall verdict is that Anaconda s outcome was a success,
but its original plan was a resounding failure. Many things contributed to the failure, but this paper
will focus on the communication aspect.
Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the
sender intended to transmit. Many of the problems that occur in an organization are: the direct result
of people failing to communicate and processes that leads to confusion and can cause good plans to
fail (Clark, 2015). To understand how some of the soon to be discussed failures arose, all of the key
commanders need to be identified. When Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) began General Tommy
Franks was the CENTCOM Combatant Commander in Tampa, Florida. Events on 9/11 lead to us
having forces in Afghanistan soon after. From the beginning of the war Special Forces (SOF) were the
primary assets utilized. As time went on conventional units were joining the forces in theatre. This
caused the need for the Command and Control (C2) structure to adapt to the

Asteroid Exploration And Utilization By George Botbyl
The Earth is nearing depletion of its natural resources at a time when human beings are rapidly
expanding the frontiers of space. The resources which may exist on asteroids could have enormous
potential for aiding and enhancing human space exploration as well as life on Earth. With the possibly
limitless opportunities that exist, it is clear that asteroids are the next step for human existence in
space. The resources of the Earth are not infinite, in fact, some are depletable within the next several
decades. Once high grade reserves are used up, low grades ores will have to be used. These effects of
using low grade ores on the environment and society were discussed in the article Asteroid
Exploration and Utilization by George Botbyl as a cycle of negative consequences which build upon
each other. In order to protect Earth, the next 25 years must bring a new era in space development.
Even presidential policy confirms that the United States of America is committed to the establishment
of a permanent human presence in space. The earliest studies of asteroid mining proposed retrieving a
main belt asteroid. Because of the very long travel times to the main asteroid belt, attention has shifted
to the asteroids whose orbits bring them fairly close to the Earth. In these schemes, the asteroids
would be bagged and then processed during the return trip, with the asteroid itself providing the
reaction mass to propel the mission homeward. A mission to one of these near Earth

1984 Manipulation Of Love Essay
Edmund Burke once said, No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and
reasoning as hate. In other words, when one becomes enveloped in the emotion of hate, similarly to
that of love, it can alter one s thought and ability to make decisions. Love and hate are the two most
powerful emotions and are seen at the core of humanity; however, it is ironic that such strong
emotions can be so easily manipulated. George Orwell considers this idea in his novel 1984 and
reveals the relationship between love and hate in a dystopian society. Throughout the novel, it is clear
to see how one is able to gain love and power based on the manipulation of hate and fear; this can be
seen through the analysis of the Party s views of Emmanuel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

For instance, right before Winston is sent to Room 101, O Brian tells him: Never again will you be
capable of love, or friendship, or joy of living, or laughter, or curiosity, or courage, or integrity. You
will be hollow. We shall squeeze you empty, and then we shall fill you with ourselves (211). Here,
Winston is facing the consequences of his hatred for Big Brother. Ironically, the Party intends to
torture Winston until he feels nothing but love for big brother. Furthermore, just after Winston hears
that Oceania has won the war against Eurasia, he gazes up at the enormous face of Big Brother and
realizes: Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark
mustache...Two gin scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was alright, everything
was alright, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother
(245). By using torture to manipulate Winston s hatred for Big Brother, the Party is able purify his
brain, leaving nothing but sorrow and repent for what he had done. The only love he feels is that
towards Big Brother. Thus, giving the Party the satisfaction of power through the dictation of love and

Mercury Contamination
Mercury Mercury is a chemical element of heavy silver and white metal that is liquid at ordinary
temperatures. The main use of mercury is the making of thermometers and barometers. Sometimes
mercury is used as an electrode in the production of batteries. Mercury can be very toxic and harmful
to the human body. If inhaled it can cause destruction to the nervous, digestive, and immune systems
and can even be fatal. Mercury is found in many natural sources such as volcanos, forest fires, and
fossil fuels (coal and petroleum). Studies show power plants to be the largest source of mercury in the
United States. Humans can prevent mercury contamination in several ways. When shopping for items
such as thermometers, try to get them mercury free.

The Bhagavad Gita Essay
The Bhagavad Gita as translated by Juan Mascaro is a poem based on ancient Sanskrit literature
contained in eighteen chapters. The period of time, around which it was written, although it is merely
an educated guess, was approximately 500 BCE. ...there are a few archaic words and expressions,
some of the greatest scholars have considered it pre Buddhistic, i.e. about 500 BC, (Bhagavad Gita,
xxiv). This quote is found in the introduction to the book and further explains that the exact time it
was written is undeterminable. Although the words and dialogue are very different than that of the
English language to which most are accustomed to, the spiritual messages throughout the entire book
are very clear and meaningful. There are two main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The contents of the eighteen chapters are very basically the acquisition of the correct knowledge to
achieve such a conclusion.
The piece of spiritual knowledge that carries the most weight throughout the Bhagavad Gita is the
responsibility of the individual. Before one can accept the responsibility of one s self, one must
differentiate between the temporary material body and the eternal spirit soul. Everyone must engage in
some sort of activity in this material world, however one s own actions can do one of two things. They
may bind you to this material world, or liberate one from it. By living life selflessly and placing full
faith and trust in the Supreme Truth, one will be lead to that higher path. The idea of self responsibility
is not merely being accountable for your faults, but living according to the wants and needs of a higher
power. Simply, the responsibility of the individual is to submit fully to the Supreme truth, and live one
s life righteously in the quest for that truth.
In trying to explain this Supreme Truth as well as other aspects of life, Krishna appeals to Arjuna in
several arguments. Just when Arjuna believes he is headed for the great battle, he falls to his knees in
despair, Fall not into degrading weakness, for this becomes a man who is not a man. Throw off this
ignoble discouragement, and arise like a fire that burns all before it (Bhagavad Gita, 2). Arjuna is a

Cafe Mueller Dance Analysis
Dance Review
The dance review consisted of watching two dance videos posted on the internet via YouTube titled,
Cafe Mueller. 1978 by Pina Bausch and One Flat Thing Reproduced by William Forsythe. Each of
these dance videos is unique and similar with its own story behind the dance movements and settings.
The video, Café Mueller, performed in 1978 by Pina Bausch, was very interesting to watch but
confusing to determine the actual story plot. In the beginning, a woman enters through a revolving
door and hurries around a dark room of chairs. She appears to be confused, scurrying in many
directions, almost like the quickness of life in a dark empty world. As she leaves, another woman
dressed in white almost looking angel like begins to slowly walk around the room very distracted and
helpless as she stumbles around the chairs. The setting of the dance and music selection resembles ...

In the beginning, the video provided mystery and suspense as the two dancers were crawling in a
tunnel like area. Then suddenly the room was overtaken by several dancers dragging flat tables and
placing them with perfection in the middle of the room. After which they returned to the back of the
room and systematically became part of the dance increasing in number starting with 2, 4, and 6 and
so on. There also appeared to be a division of groups and the dancers displayed fighting amongst these
groups in their movements. The music of this video was powerful and spooky as to the quick action of
the dancers. The performance appeared to represent a jazz, lyrical interpretative manner. The outfits
also portrayed that to be contemporary and even futuristic. The movements of the dancers was very
precise, quick and multiple, while occurring at the same time. The most interesting thing while
watching the video was, the dancers were playing off of one another in a very timely

Essay On The Voting Rights Act
This act flows from a clear and simple wrong, its only purpose is to right that wrong. Millions of
Americans are denied the right to vote because of their color. This law will ensure them the right to
vote. The wrong is one which no American, in his heart, can justify. The right is one which no
American, true to our principles, can deny.... It is not just a question of guilt, although there is that. It
is that men cannot live with a lie and not be stained by it, said the president (Equal Citizenship and the
Individual Right to Vote). The Voting Rights Act was one of the most monumental laws in the entire
history of American freedom a law that, very exclusively, aimed to break down the legal barriers at the
state and local governments level of authority that prohibited African Americans from exercising their
constitutional right to vote.
Even with the passage of the Voting Rights Acts of 1965, states have tried to manipulate the use of
gerrymandering to gain selective partisan gain. Gerrymandering is ... Show more content on

Cox, the court ruled that states could not longer deviate from strict equality when redrawing
congressional lines because it was usually done to help a political party gain partisan support. Further,
the court also stated that states cannot intentionally reduce the votes of some citizens on the basis of
race because it violates the fourteenth and fifteenth amendment of the Constitution. This paved the
way for the beginning of majority minority districts. Under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, states
must create legislative districts in which racial minorities have the means to elect political candidates
of their own preference. Both matching slices and pack and crack assume that voters have fixed

I Want To Be Free Essay
I ve always felt that that I m at a constant battle against myself. If I must say, from my personal
experience, I m struggling to keep myself together. I keep calm outside but on the inside, I just feel a
rush and craziness. I want to be free from the people who are judgemental, to be at peace, to be at a
place where you can listen the chirping of birds, listen to the gurgling of river. I quite like it when I m
alone drown in my own thoughts. When I say, I want to be free I mean I have no limits, I can do
whatever I want . After working for 3 years, I was burnt out at work and wanted to rediscover myself
and I could only think of travelling. But I always had this feeling that something is wrong. Neither I d
the money nor intention of wanderlust. I was just lost or maybe I want freedom of expression without
being ending up in jail. I don t know it yet. But one thing was sure and that was: I want to experience
the world through the eyes of others. Living the lives of others or living with them provides you a
window to enter their lives. I have always believed that travel breaks you free. My mind was
conditioned to travel. I had changed almost a dozen schools by the time I completed my graduation.

Pros And Cons Of A Nuclear Family
1).Write at least four pros and cons for each type of family discussed
Nuclear Family
Nuclear Family is a household consisting of father, mother and children. Four pros and cons of this
type of family are as follows:
PROS
Strength and Stability
Two parent families, whether married or common law relationship, tend to be more stable. Partners or
spouses are role model of a loving, caring and supportive relationship for their children. This will
transform into future accomplishment by teaching children how to seek out positive relationships and
interact well with others. These children will benefit from watching their parents work together to

Four pros and cons of this type of family are as follows:
PROS
Discipline
This should be easier with two adults but the truth is that it is often easier with only one particularly if
the other one fails to agree with the type of discipline involved.
Competition
Most times mother and father are in competition for a his or her child love but if the other partner is
not involved in the child s life or less interested in bringing up that child, the single parent can face no
significant competition for their child s love.
Individual Time
Each child needs his or her time alone with their parent because nothing says I love you like parents
spending time with their children. When a parent is by themselves, it is a challenge to find time alone
with each child sufficient to meet the needs, but it is worth it!
Peaceful Atmosphere
Most single parents are in that situation because they have left a family which has looked more like a
conflict zone. While any class of parenting may be stressful and may cause hostility within the family,
hostility between mother and father can often be the most destructive, so one advantage of parenting
alone is having a peaceful atmosphere in the

Research Paper On Dog Park
Will a dog park be a postive addition to Muscatine, or will it be a negative addition? This is the
question currently being asked. Both sides of the party make a very good argument. From it being a
postive way for dogs to let out their energy and socialize, to it being a negative disruption for tax
payers and surrounding residents of the dog park. My personal opinion is the dog park should be
contructed, and here are some supporting reasons why.
As stated in the first passage, dogs need to be socialized with other dogs to be a good dog at home and
outside of its home. If a dog is not properly socialized it can easily lead to a aggressive or reserved
dog. At home i have a dog of my own which whom I adopted from a shelter. When I first attained him
he was very shy and skittish, especially around other dogs. However after taking him to our local dog
park and into different stores that allow your dog to accompany you, his behavior started to change.
He slowly started to become less shy and now wants to play with every dog he sees. If dogs have a
place to socialize, this will then lead to less of them in the shelter which will also lead to less money
taken from taxes we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

paragraph four of the Dog Park Benefits All passage, it states a dog park would mean less people

prohibited places makes much more of a disturbance. You dont want to go to park to relax and be
disturbed by dogs running around and barking. Nor do you want to come home to find someone has
let their dog run around in your apartments parking lot. If a dog park was built, most people would
take their dogs there. This would let you have the chance to avoid them and the noises they

ICE FILI FIVE FORCES Ashley Springer Ice Fili case analysis November 22, 2012 Through tough times in the Russian ice cream market; one company has one company has pulled their weight and maintained their position on top. Established in 1937; Ice Fili has survived the change in government, financial hard times, and the ever growing competition from international companies. However, given these events their market share, which was once dominated by Ice Fili, has been significantly reduced. Quality also leads to the decision of where to purchase from. Ice Fili is a good choice for quality because it is one of their goals for service. Substitution: As a choice for an easy and inexpensive snack ice cream can be easily substituted. Switching costs between alternatives are very low because the consumer can service many products using what they already own. Also the end consumer can easily choose to purchase yogurt, soda, chocolates, or other candies. Rivalry: Rivalry is high in the Russian ice cream industry. Many companies exist to sell a highly undifferentiated product. Imported brand are not only sold by the Russian market, but also welcomed by government. The Ice Fili product is quickly perishable. These foreign companies produce the product differently by adding preservatives which in the long run lowers costs due to extended shelf life. Also the technology is more recent and more innovative in the foreign companies, which, lets them have the top of the line products that Ice Fili is incapable of producing without putting more money into new equipment. The companies that compete with Ice Fili have another advantage because they choose to produce and market for a wider customer base. They sell the ice cream at more places than just the kiosks that Ice Fili sells at, because they produce more than ice cream. Lastly, the ice cream industry has no growth. I realize that it will be hard to learn and become my character without actually seeing the musical so I will be taking the time to watch it before the performance. What is PAYE? PAYE or Pay As You Earn is the system of collecting tax or pension within a tax year, which starts on 6 April of the present year and ends on 5 April the next year. Three parties are involved in the entire process you, your employer and HMRC. If there are discrepancies in your tax code or the tax deduction itself, you can complain to either your employer or HMRC. The frequency with which tax is deducted depends on how often you will get paid, whether it s weekly or monthly. Some pensions, however, are only taxed every quarter of a year or once a year. How does PAYE work? HMRC will be responsible for calculating your tax code and then providing it to your employer. When required, the agency will send you a PAYE coding notice that shows how your code number was worked out. If you didn t receive any, you can ask one from HMRC. • 8. Pascal s Wager Rhetorical Analysis Pascal acknowledges that a belief in God s existence cannot be supported by argument or evidence, but claims that religious belief is a rational necessity. This essay will address how Pascal presents his argument, and how it is in our interest to believe in god. I will argue that Pascal s Wager has weaknesses due to its reliance on an overly simplistic judgement, and will contemplate how Pascal may reply to such criticisms. I will conclude with an evaluation that questions why a believer is superior to a disbeliever, and whether one can truly coerce themselves to believe in god s existence. Pascal s Wager is the attempt to justify belief in the Christian God not with an appeal to evidence for his existence but rather with an appeal to self interest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pascal s Wager exclusively addresses the Christian God out of an infinite number of possible Gods. With no further information, the laws of probability mean that inadvertently worshiping the wrong God is a practical certainty. Only when the probability of a particular God existing increases does Pascal s Wager become viable, that is, if one God could be proven to have higher likelihood of existing than any other God, Pascal s Wager would represent a clear benefit. Seeing as no god is empirically provable, the most rational decision would be to choose the religion that rewards believers with the best heaven, and disbelievers with the worse hell. In that case we should chose to worship the Invisible Pink Unicorns (IPU) because they have an infinite bad hell and an infinitely wonderful heaven. Considering that this theory cannot be disproven, if the probability is only close to zero we still have infinite gain/loss since infinity times any positive value is still infinity. Hence for anyone constrained by a bias towards a particular God, the Wager will suit their belief. However rationality suggests that wagering solely for the Christian God is not your best ... • 10. How to Become a Translator How to Become a Translator The industry of language translation is gaining momentum quite rapidly than it has fifteen years ago. It has grown to be regarded as one of the most promising career opportunities at this age of digital technology. Businesses and individuals have created a greater and increasingly stable demand for human translators. Linguists now have minimal fear of being saturated in their profession because of a teeming demand for translation projects. The emergence of machine translation and computer aided translation has helped the industry contrary to some people who deemed these tools as unfavorable, threatening to extinguish human linguists with such technology. It has, in fact, made the human translator an inevitable component of the translation process. Aware of the restrictions and limits of what these tools can do, the human translator is still the one in control of the whole process. Human logic and knowledge cannot be replaced with machines or any other tools. Machines can only interpret data and concept up to a certain degree; they cannot translate concepts. Only the complexities of the human brain can grasp these often technical and difficult processes. Given the important functions that human linguists play in content translation for business expansion and product localization, the demand for translators is seen to go up in the ensuing years. This means that here will be a steady flow of jobs for more translators all over the world. Is language ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Dualism Argument Essay You bring up some interesting points. Firstly, as I pointed out in my original post, I do not think chemical imbalances and defects in the brain that cause a mental change in a person are considered mental illness . Rather, I would consider them neurological defects that, given the proper tools and/or medicine (possibly technology that we have not yet been able to create or invent yet), can be corrected to average or normal levels. Secondly, yes you are right that the brain is indeed not within the stomach. However, I would encourage you to look into the Psychology school of thought known as Dualism. This philosophy not only disagrees with your statement of the mind is part of the brain , but it also disagrees with your statements that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Muskie also had some strong opponents for the democratic nomination for president. Hubert Humphrey who lost to Nixon in 1968 was seen as a possible contender, along with Alabama Governor George Wallace, and Senator George McGovern of South Dakota. Followed by bad publicity and his fourth place finish in Florida Muskie began to finish poorly in the remaining primaries. When McGovern won Massachusetts Muskie halted his campaign. Wallace was still considered a possible contender until an attempt to assassinate him left Wallace paralyzed and he thus withdrew from the campaign. Humphrey and McGovern were the remaining contenders. The California primary was one that left the Democratic Party divided. In debates between Humphrey and McGovern, Humphrey accused McGovern of being too liberal. Although McGovern won California, he won by a narrower margin than expected, which seemed to show that Humphrey s attacks had taken their toll. This is what Timothy Treadwell did, except he upped the ante and chose to live alongside the Grizzly Bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska. The last 13 years of Treadwell s life, he spent the summer months living with the bears. Grizzly Man is a film that was created by Werner Herzog. The film show contains content that Treadwell filmed himself, as well as portions filmed after his death, that have Werner interacting with people who knew Timothy very well. I believe that this film is very well put together and does a great job of showing Treadwell s interactions with the bears, with minimal input from the narrator. I enjoy this part of the film because it allows you to form your own opinion of Treadwell and see what he thinks is best for himself and the bears. In this paper, I will be touching on how Treadwell s actions throughout the film relate to writings done by; Michael Nelson, J. Baird Callicott, and Reed Noss. Some of Nelson s wilderness preservation arguments fit right alongside what Treadwell is doing on his expeditions. Calllicot and Noss focus on wilderness alternatives and the impact that humans have on the environment. With every passing year, people take for granted what a powerful asset the internet can truly be. However, common sense would suggest that, every powerful tool comes with a significant risk. The risk takes the form of every lewd, violent, and undesirable website which exists in the vast network of information. Some possess knowledge extensive enough to avoid these dangerous sites, but those who are young and blissfully ignorant of the unseen nature of the internet cannot possibly be expected to avoid these dangers on their own. Therefore, in order to protect the minds, hearts, and futures of the younger generation, precautionary measures should be taken to prevent children from accessing or stumbling upon sites which, by no means, should ever be seen by children. It is said that over 30 percent of all data transferred across the internet is pornography (Kleinman, 2017). With much of this content being easy to access and free to view, it comes as no surprise that numerous children find themselve viewing explicit content. At one time the U.S. Army defined communication as the exchange and flow of information and ideas from one person to another; it involves a sender transmitting an idea, information, or feeling to a receiver (Clark, 2015). Throughout this paper we will expound on key communication failures that were exposed during Operation Anaconda. The overall verdict is that Anaconda s outcome was a success, but its original plan was a resounding failure. Many things contributed to the failure, but this paper will focus on the communication aspect. Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the sender intended to transmit. Many of the problems that occur in an organization are: the direct result of people failing to communicate and processes that leads to confusion and can cause good plans to fail (Clark, 2015). To understand how some of the soon to be discussed failures arose, all of the key commanders need to be identified. • 26. Asteroid Exploration And Utilization By George Botbyl The Earth is nearing depletion of its natural resources at a time when human beings are rapidly expanding the frontiers of space. The resources which may exist on asteroids could have enormous potential for aiding and enhancing human space exploration as well as life on Earth. With the possibly limitless opportunities that exist, it is clear that asteroids are the next step for human existence in space. The resources of the Earth are not infinite, in fact, some are depletable within the next several decades. Once high grade reserves are used up, low grades ores will have to be used. These effects of using low grade ores on the environment and society were discussed in the article Asteroid Exploration and Utilization by George Botbyl as a cycle of negative consequences which build upon each other. In order to protect Earth, the next 25 years must bring a new era in space development. Even presidential policy confirms that the United States of America is committed to the establishment of a permanent human presence in space. The earliest studies of asteroid mining proposed retrieving a main belt asteroid. Because of the very long travel times to the main asteroid belt, attention has shifted to the asteroids whose orbits bring them fairly close to the Earth. In these schemes, the asteroids would be bagged and then processed during the return trip, with the asteroid itself providing the reaction mass to propel the mission homeward. The piece of spiritual knowledge that carries the most weight throughout the Bhagavad Gita is the responsibility of the individual. Before one can accept the responsibility of one s self, one must differentiate between the temporary material body and the eternal spirit soul. Everyone must engage in some sort of activity in this material world, however one s own actions can do one of two things. They may bind you to this material world, or liberate one from it. I keep calm outside but on the inside, I just feel a rush and craziness. I want to be free from the people who are judgemental, to be at peace, to be at a place where you can listen the chirping of birds, listen to the gurgling of river. I quite like it when I m alone drown in my own thoughts. When I say, I want to be free I mean I have no limits, I can do whatever I want . After working for 3 years, I was burnt out at work and wanted to rediscover myself and I could only think of travelling. But I always had this feeling that something is wrong. Neither I d the money nor intention of wanderlust. I was just lost or maybe I want freedom of expression without being ending up in jail. I don t know it yet. But one thing was sure and that was: I want to experience the world through the eyes of others. Living the lives of others or living with them provides you a window to enter their lives. Four pros and cons of this type of family are as follows: PROS Discipline This should be easier with two adults but the truth is that it is often easier with only one particularly if the other one fails to agree with the type of discipline involved. Competition Most times mother and father are in competition for a his or her child love but if the other partner is not involved in the child s life or less interested in bringing up that child, the single parent can face no significant competition for their child s love. Individual Time Each child needs his or her time alone with their parent because nothing says I love you like parents spending time with their children. Peaceful Atmosphere Most single parents are in that situation because they have left a family which has looked more like a conflict zone. • 36. Research Paper On Dog Park Will a dog park be a postive addition to Muscatine, or will it be a negative addition? This is the question currently being asked. Both sides of the party make a very good argument. From it being a postive way for dogs to let out their energy and socialize, to it being a negative disruption for tax payers and surrounding residents of the dog park. My personal opinion is the dog park should be contructed, and here are some supporting reasons why. As stated in the first passage, dogs need to be socialized with other dogs to be a good dog at home and outside of its home. If a dog is not properly socialized it can easily lead to a aggressive or reserved dog. At home i have a dog of my own which whom I adopted from a shelter. When I first attained him he was very shy and skittish, especially around other dogs. However after taking him to our local dog park and into different stores that allow your dog to accompany you, his behavior started to change. He slowly started to become less shy and now wants to play with every dog he sees. If dogs have a place to socialize, this will then lead to less of them in the shelter which will also lead to less money taken from taxes we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In paragraph four of the Dog Park Benefits All passage, it states a dog park would mean less people letting their dogs loose in empty lots and parks. Nor do you want to come home to find someone has let their dog run around in your apartments parking lot. If a dog park was built, most people would take their dogs there.
