Persuasive Essay On Seatbelts In Schools
Since 2003 there have been 1,353 deaths related to bus
accidents. One of the problems are that there are no safety restraints, or seatbelts on our school
buses. We need the students of sylvania community schools to be safe. Seatbelts if used propertly
would insure the safety for the students while traveling back and forth to school. The Sylvania
Community should require seatbelts to be installed on buses to ensure
students safety. My three reasons for Sylvania Community to have seatbelts
on buses is for safety, behavior of students and, to decrease driver
distraction. In conclusion there s a problem with buses in sylvania and I
want to fix it.
Will putting seatbelts on buses change the attitude and
behavior of students? Sylvania community needs seatbelts on buses to
also change the behavior of students. According to the website

Sylvania community needs seatbelts on buses for safety of the children. My first piece of
evidence is a quote said by one of harry duns family members From a safety point of view we
should be spending money on making it safe around the bus ... 92 per cent of all bus incidents
happen with children going to and around the bus. The first text evidence supports my reason of
safety by showing why seatbelts are important and really affect people that lose a loved one just
because there wasn t enough safety when there could have been. According to the website family
education, wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury to front seat passenger car occupants
by 45%, and risk of moderate to critical injury by 50%. My second evidence supports the claim by
showing the percentages of how much safety we could increase if we had seatbelts on buses. That

The Beliefs Between Christians And Mormons
The beliefs between Christians and Mormons are very different. Some would say that they are
different because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is a cult. There has been great
debate about whether or not the LDS church is a cult or part of the Christian religion. People
believe that Mormonism is a cult, mostly because of the very different theology between The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saintsand biblical teachings. Mormonism holds authority to
The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, and parts of the Bible that
do not contradict Mormon doctrine (Cultwatch.com).
So, whether is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is by definition a cult or not, there
is some major differences between Mormon theology and biblical teaching. One of the biggest
and very different beliefs of Christian and Mormon is faith is God and human beings becoming
gods. This paper will explore the Mormon belief of exaltation and God.
History of Joseph Smith and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints:
Joseph Smith Jr., born to Joseph and Lacy Mack Smith, started The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter day Saints or LDS Church. Joseph Smith was born on December 23 of 1805. When
Joseph Smith was a young teenager, he was wondering what church he should join. He came
across James 1:5, if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to you . One day, Joseph Smith went

Observation Report Project Essay
During my observations in the different classrooms at The childcare Center , I learned about the
proper environment, the fundamentals of the teachers lesson plans, their health and safety
regulations, their approach to guidance and discipline, and overall quality childcare. The center has
eight different levels of age groups; each of them has their own curriculum based on their age and
developmental needs. This curriculum changes and has a new theme each month that helps the lead
teachers to be able to start their lesson plans each week. From infants all the way to pre K the
lesson plans include fine motor, gross motor, art and sensory, math and manipulatives, music and
movement, language including both signing and Spanish.

As a lead teacher they take on many responsibilities from writing lesson plans, following

two assistants that will take on the duty of primary caregiver of one or more children depending on
the ratio in the room. Many of the assistants have little experience in the child care and are currently
in college. The best way to know if the person is a good fit it to do a working interview. During a

the children as well as how the children respond to them. Most of the assistants don t have more

Contrasting Values Of The Film The Jazz Singer
The nineteen twenties film The Jazz Singer is not entertaining to a modern audience, due to the
contrasting values portrayed within the film, which differ from those in modern society. Ninety
years after the film was released, much has changed in popular culture. Our population is much
more fast paced, liberal, and enticed with audio and visual effects. The JazzSinger is a silent, black
and white film. As a result, the film is unappealing to contemporary audiences, who much prefer an
action driven film, which include explosions and sexualized story lines. Despite the film having
certain relevant themes, such as racism, which is seen through blackface and finding one s identity,

A Midsummer Night s Dream Compare And Contrast
In A Midsummer Night s Dream Puck and Bottom are different in many ways including the way
they behave, their sense of humour, and how they deal with their problems. Puck may be
considered a protagonist because he is the character who puts the remedy on Lysander s eyes and
corrects the love problems with the Athenian lovers. Puckmakes the mistake by putting the love
potion on Lysander s eyes, making him fall in love with Helena, forgetting Hermia. This causes
problems because Hermia is still in love with Lysander and Demetrius is in love with Hermia.
Like every protagonist, Puck fixes his mistakes and makes everything rights again. He does this by
putting the love potion on Demetrius eyes and he then falls in love with Helena. He chases... Show

On the ground, sleep sound, I ll apply, to your eye, gentle lover, remedy (III.ii.461 65). When the
lovers wake in the morning Helena and Demetrius are in love and Hermia and Lysander are in
love. Unlike Puck, Bottom deals with his problems with the craftsman by trying to be better
than them rather than helping them. Puck s spirit is very lively and humorous when he messes
up he watches the outcome and laughs at it. For example, when he applies the potion to the
wrong eyes he says Believe my King of Shadows, I mistook... and so far am I glad it so did sort,
as this their jangling I esteem a sport (III.ii.363 4). This shows how his spirit dominates the play
because Puck enjoys to interact with others while Bottom thinks he is the best at everything and
does not need the other craftsmen. The comedy surrounding Puck differs from Bottom because
Puck s sense of humour is more sophisticated than Bottom s. An example of Bottom s sense of
humour is when he uses the incorrect verb when he is performing the play for the lovers. I see a
voice. Now will I to the chink, to spy an I can hear my Thisbe s face (V.i.186 7). An example of
Puck s sense of humour is when he turned Bottom into an ass. This is more sophisticated because
Bottom does not realize that he has been turned into an ass. It is also a metaphor for Bottom s
attitude towards the other

Forrest Thomson Poetic Artifice Analysis
Two Co Option Co option is I argue most clearly defined by Veronica Forrest Thomson s Poetic
Artifice. A text, that pushed back against critics of the previous generation and endeavoured early
on to integrate structuralist thought with post structuralist. This integration between structuralism
and post structuralism can be seen as an attempt to get at the importance of poetry. In an attempt
to stress and illuminate poetry s unique ability to be transformative of both language and the
world. Forrest Thomson in Poetic Artifice demands an intense focus on all the rhythmic,
phonetic, verbal and logical devices which makes poetry different from prose to best consider
this transformative nature. It is in this distinguishing of poetry from prose, and the highly
formalist manner and structuralist distrust of language s transparency in which she follows that
one can also see a similar differencing between the broader spectrum of literature with the
sciences. There is no need in Forrest Thomson s work for differing areas to be inclusive of one
another, to the point of loss of individuality, because of a homogenizing of methodology and
epistemic reasoning. Throughout both Poetic Artifice and her thesis Poetry as Knowledge: The
Use of Science by Twentieth Century Poets, Forest Thomson can be seen to put forward a new
structure, in which separation is crucial for any kind of interrelation between the two fields of
knowledge. She follows a similar stance as that of Kelly

Collective Bargaining Fair
Last year, after the election, the Republican party in our state house decided to eliminate public
employees right to collective bargaining. This was a historic event because Republicans in the
House felt as if public employees had too much control in what happened at their work site, at
taxpayers expense. As a result, unions were striped of their right to collective bargaining.
However, not all unions were equally striped of their bargaining rights. Public workers such as
fire fighters, park rangers and police officers were not impacted by the changes to the bill as other
public employees. Republicans believe that this is fair because these jobs involve people putting
their lives on the line. Another right taken away from public employees

Minor Characters In Hamlet
Many times, minor characters go overlooked, their persona is goes undiscovered and their impact
on plot and character development is greatly under appreciated. It is crucial for readers to explore
the identity of minor characters and what kind of impact they have on character development,
especially in William Shakespeare s Hamlet. The minor characters play a key role in character
development for the main characters. Rosencrantz and Guildensternoffer Hamlet a chance to
display not only his kindness and ability to sense something is wrong, but as well as his
ruthlessness when people attempt to cross his path. The relationship that Hamlet and Horatio share
on the other hand, is pure loyalty and trust. We see Hamlet s intellect come out once he is around
Horatio, and where Horatio is just as much as an intellectual as Hamlet, he his not as ignorant as
Hamlet. Polonius is not nearly as intelligent as Hamlet, which Hamlet uses to create comic relief,
making Polonius the butt of his joke. And finally, Ophelia. Ophelia is submissive and allows us to
see how Hamlet would act with his perfect mistress and how Polonius would treat his dutiful
daughter. In William Shakespeare s Hamlet, minor characters are the foundation of the major
characters in the play.
To begin, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern reveal the cold heartedness of Hamlet. They also give
insight on the different characters Hamlet was friends with in his past. One of the most obvious
things that should be taken into

Coca Cola is a much better balance sheet than Pepsico, even managing to have more cash on hand

After comparing the two it is companies, I would recommend that Coca Cola is the better pick as
far as who to invest in if given the opportunity to invest in one or the other. Through analyzing the
many ratios and utilizing the components to accurately rationalize the status of the financial
stability of the two companies Coca Cola has proved to have a higher financial accountability.
There are many factors that brought me to this conclusion. Just look at the statements you can see
that Pepsi Co. has more liabilities than Coca Cola and that would generally be the case since Pepsi
Co. has monies invested in other products and Cola does not have any other involvements in other
products.

Conclusively, this biggest impact from this class was the enlightenment on how my stress is
going to kill me if I do not make immediate changes to my life. Moreover, week one was a reality
check for me seeing just what the effects of stress can do to an individual was beneficial in
recognizing I was exhibited some of the symptoms of stress related illnesses. Through the
reading material I remember thinking stress is doing unbelievable things physically and
mentally to me and I was oblivious. Thankfully, from this course I have learned and
implemented some valuable techniques that have been working for me thus far. First, from the
Wisdom of the Ages section, this was one of my favorite sections in the text; I learned how to
utilize the decompression chamber technique (Manning, Curtis, McMillen Attenweiler, 2011).
With my horrendous history of carrying work stress home and vice versa, this technique has
allowed me to use the three R concepts, which are reviewing the previous events, rehearsing for
impending activities and relaxing (Manning et al., 2011). Successfully, using my drive time in
my vehicle to mentally unwind and relax between has helped me tremendously. In addition,
being on the verge of burnout, taking time to escape for a while has been advantageous in my
life (Manning et al., 2011). Since I started taking walks at break time at work or when I feel my
stress rising and when I am overwhelmed at home I have been giving myself a cooling off period to

Essay on Exploring Death in Death in Venice
Exploring Death in Death in Venice
Death in Venice by Thomas Mann, is a story that deals with mortality on many different levels.
There is the obvious physical death by cholera, and the cyclical death in nature: in the beginning it
is spring and in the end, autumn. We see a kind of death of the ego in Gustav Aschenbach s
dreams. Venice itself is a personificationof death, and death is seen as the leitmotif in musical
terms. It is also reflected in the idea of the traveler coming to the end of a long fatiguing journey.
It must also be noted there are no women in the story with prominent roles. The hero s wife is long
dead and his daughter has been married and gone for many years. Any women in the story are

9, 14). It is ironic that Aschenbach, who had written his book The Abject as a rebuke to the
excess of a psychology ridden age (13) succumbs to an egoless state, not only in the last grotesque
dream, but directly after it in his conscious mind as well. From this point on, Gustav becomes
totally shameless. (We have seen this theme of loss of shame as being a kind of death, and actually
leading to literal death as well, in Salman Rushdie s Shame.)
Mann s use of Venice as a backdrop is critical. Venice, an ancient city, inexorably sinking beneath
the water, a forbidden spot (38) with stagnant lagoons (28) the fallen queen of the sea (36).
Venice, with a faintly rotten scent (37) half fairy tale, half snare (55) that hid sickness for love of
gain . . . (56). The city that had a disreputable secret [like] his own (57).
In musical terms, death is the leitmotif, the theme keeps reappearing: heard in the overture (the first
stranger Aschenbach sees in Munich), continually sounded in the Venetian passages (more odd
men), swelling to a crescendo of hysterical laughter and swirling pipes of Pan, and, in the

Loyalty In Sophocles Antigone
Throughout history, scholars, poets, and socialites cite and argue multiple aspects within Sophocles
plays, which all contain a deluge of sentiments that permeate global society and culture. Riddled
with disparate interpretations and theories, Antigone sparks acrimonious debate regarding a
plethora of its details, such as characterization, theme, and undertone. Antigone, written by the
Ancient Greek playwright Sophocles, recounts the events of Oedipusdaughter, Antigone, following
her brothers deaths. Sophocles manipulates Antigone s character to model the loyal, dutiful
individual the Greeks idolized in their religion and culture rather than formulating a realistic
character who serves herself.
These attributes of loyalty and duty emerge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To illustrate, Antigone articulates to Ismene that Creonlacks the power to prohibit her from burying
Polyneices (Prologue, line 35). Disregarding Creon s powers, Antigone extends both her immaturity
and recklessness in amanner that both generates a hazy impression of Antigone s plausibility and
discredits her personality because of the seldom conflict between the king and women in Ancient
Greece. Furthermore, characters such as Eurydice and Jocasta, who experience much more tragedy,
diverge from Antigone in the course of their reactions. While Jocasta and Eurydice grieve for their
loved ones and succumb to the sorrow, Antigone s reaction exists at the opposite end of the
spectrum where she acts with the sole intent to spite Creon. Continuing, Antigone dictates that she
is not afraid of the danger; if it means death, / It will not be the worst of deaths death without honor
(Prologue, lines 80 81). Recognizing her inevitable fate, Antigone makes little effort to alter her
actions or consequences. Her proud acceptance of her death, which she claims to be one of honor,
projects her arrogance and stubbornness toward her situation. This immediate compliance fails to
reflect the true outlook and reaction toward approaching death both today and in her time.
Additionally, the diatribe provided by Antigone to the chorus near her death sparks much criticism
when she asserts that she prays Creon s punishment equals her own when the truth of her actions
emerges (Scene 4, lines 67 69). Antigone s blatant assault on Creon s life conveys her ignorance,
which also transmits the impossibility of her individuality. Sophocles employs Antigone to generate
the generalized perspective of tyranny Conversely, many individuals justify Antigone s reckless
behavior

International Regulation Of Copyright Law Essay
1)Introduction:
Trademark: Trademark recognizable features, expression, or other symbol that indicates a
particular product or service, and legally it apart from all other products. It also serves to only
identify the product or service from a particular company, and the recognition of ownership of the
company brand. The protected products are generally considered to be a form of property. Most
countries have agencies through which companies can have their products with trademarks. One of
the main goals of a product is protected to protect the product from used without the permission of
the original society. Most countries have patent laws that are designed to defend against patent
breach. International regulation of copyright is much more complex, because there is no
universally recognized Patent Office
Patent: A patent is basically a government license which provides the holder the exclusive right to

I was kind of surprised by the numbers because I have never studied my daily intakes before and

amounts. I had consumed a vast quantity of these nutrients during my three day period. For
example, 21 water bottles along with the above mentioned proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.
Micronutrient Intake Ranges Macronutrients are an important part of your daily intake since they
provide the body with calories and energy. These nutrients are needed for metabolism and growth
of the body. The three macronutrients are carbohydrates, protein, and fat (McKinley Health
Center, 2008). It is important to that macronutrient intake be within the recommended intake
range. Having a diet that consists of too much or too little of a macronutrient could be harmful
to the body. If you eat too many macronutrients, you could gain fat and if you eat too little
macronutrients you could lose healthy fat, which would cause the body to break down. If you
consistently eat too little protein, carbohydrates, or lipids, the body would be malnourished,
which could have devastating effects on your health. Fiber Intake Ranges My fiber intake was
41.1% of the recommended daily intake. I definitely feel that my fiber intake over the three days
is about right. Fiber is an important part of a diet and a male such as me should consume 38 grams

The Impact of Monsters in Literature and Films
Throughout generations, watching movies and reading novels have been some of the most popular
forms of entertainment. Horror is among the most famous genres of film and literature since it is
usually aimed at giving the audience a chilling or shocking experience. Monsters in such films and
novels have long been objects of both fascination and fear. From intergalactic aliens to medieval
dragons, the monster has always revealed people s fascination with mystical beings and what it
means to be human. The use of Monsters in films and literature captures the imagination and
embodies the fears and concerns of their audiences.
Every culture has its way of representing mysterious situations and channel their intense fears and
nightmares caused by such situations through the figure of a monster. The creation of monsters in
horror films and literature varies on the writer s perception of monsters and what various cultures
find horrible and frighten. According to Bruce F. Kawin, author of Composite Monsters: Island of
Lost Souls and The Fly, monsters in horror films provide individuals the opportunity to explore all
forms of life from natural to unnatural. For instance, Kawin s defines a monster to an imaginary
creature made up of the parts of two or more animals, one of which might be a human (Kawin 99)
Kawin braces monster s definition by comparing the following

Rainbow Bridge History
If you want to brighten up a person s day. Give them a rainbow was said by Anthony T. Hincks. It
is true that many people like seeing the wonderful rainbow after a rainstorm but there is never

lot of great history, many new cultures and interesting activities for tourists to take part in.
Rainbow Bridge contains many interesting historical features. A surveying party first found the
Rainbow Bridge in 1909, the scientists were quickly able to find out how it was created. It was in
fact created by erosion of the sandstone by the flowing water (Rainbow Bridge). The president then

My Goals For My First Semester
After two full weeks of college I have quickly learned that college is very stressful and if I want to
be successful I need to learn how to set practical goals and acquire necessary tactics to accomplish
each goal in the given amount of time. I have set three goals for my first semester of college to
achieve success in both academic and personal areas in my life. I want to receive a 4.0 GPA, only
have up to one absence in each class, and be able to run seven miles nonstop, I will complete these
three goals all in my first semester of college. With essential goalsetting strategies I am equipped
with I will be able to accomplish my three goals in the timeframe given and set myself up for
success for next semesters as a UNC student. My first goal is to earn a 4.0 GPA this fall
semester. This is an enabling goal because I will need I need to have above a 3.8 to get into the
nursing program at UNC, therefore getting perfect grades this semester will set me up for
success in the future semesters. To accomplish this goal, I will have to study for at least two
hours a day, Monday through Friday. I will also need to go to at least three hours of tutoring
each week. I live in a pre nursing living community, therefore my RA has tutoring hours and the
school provides two hours for each class of tutoring a week. I am a disorganized person and I rarely
use a planner, and to get a 4.0 I will need to be very organized. To address this potential obstacle, I
will sit down every Sunday and

Lamb To The Slaughter By Roald Dahl And My Chivalric Fiasco
Writers throughout time have taken it upon themselves to pen the injustices around them and hone
their artistic skills to document and expose acts of injustice, intending to spark change, debate, and
reform. Roald Dahl and George Saunders, two renowned authors, tackle the same responsibility in
their works, in the hopes of critiquing society and its distasteful, unsavory elements. The short
stories Lamb to the Slaughter , written by Roald Dahl, and My Chivalric Fiasco , written by George
Saunders, utilize satire and stylistic techniques to critique society and outline their perspectives
on the world around them. Roald Dahl s Lamb to the Slaughter utilizes satire and humor to
critique domesticity and the life of a housewife. His use of detail and perspective allows us to
view the eager, submissive, and anxious housewife, Mary Maloney. These traits are evident
when she glanced at the clock again and again, waiting for her husband, she merely wanted to
satisfy herself that each minute that went by made it nearer to the time when he would come
home (Dahl 1). The exaggeration and descriptive imagery humorously depicts Mary Maloney as
a submissive housewife, eager to please her husband in any way. The story satirizes domesticity
by portraying an obsessive wife, Mary, who sits like a dog waiting to greet her husband at the
door, fetching a drink for him like a toy, crying I ll get it as she jumps out of her chair, and gazing
at him all the time with large, puzzled

The Dark Side Of The Perfectly Manicured American Lawn
One way that authors attempt to get their readers to think about the environment is by drawing
attention to the fact that people harm it. For example, in The Dark Side of the Perfectly Manicured
American Lawn: Is It Giving You Cancer? the author talks about the common herbicide 2,4 D and
writes, At first, its impact on humans seems mild skin and eye irritation, nausea, vomiting,
dizziness, stiffness in the arms and legs, (Jenkins, 2016). In the event that these symptoms aren t off
putting enough, the author then claims that 2,4 D can actually cause cancerin humans because it
stimulates extremely rapid cell growth (Jenkins, 2016). I don t know about you, but I think that

Gene Stratton Porter uses this technique in her book, Moths of the Limberlost. Instead of talking
about chemicals and pesticides and the dangers of using then, Stratton Porter gets us to think about
the environment by promoting it. Then the Winter Swamp had all the lacy exquisite beauty of such
locations when snow and frost draped, while from May until October it was practically tropical
jungle, she writes (Citation here). Not only does she focus on the land and plants, but she also talks
about the animals that live in this swamp, primarily moths, calling them, fragile night wanderers
and moonflowers of June s darkness (Citation here). The Limberlost Swamp sounds like a beautiful
place that you would want to visit, right? Of course, the hidden implication is that you can t, or at
least not unless humans change the way we treat the environment.
An additional technique used by authors to motivate readers to treat the environment well is
using fictional works to get their message across. A well known example of this is The Lorax by
Dr. Seuss. When you read this story as a kid, you may not realize that the story intentionally
mirrors our world today, but eventually you realize that it isn t just about truffalump trees being
cut down; it s about real ones: pine trees and oaks and sycamores, to name a few. The humming
fish mentioned in the story may not exist in real life, but we are harming actual fish by polluting
our rivers with dangerous

The Lost Generation By F. Scott Fitzgerald
Loss, wastefulness, and regret are not words that anyone wants to hear. While reading the works of
F. Scott Fitzgerald in Babylon Revisited and of Ernest Hemingway in The Snows of Kilimanjaro
these three words seem to connect to two stories together. In these stories loss, wastefulness, and
regret intertwine in the stories to better explain the struggles that people have to deal with. Both
Fitzgerald and Hemingway were part of what is called the Lost Generation. The Lost Generation
was a group of American writes who moved to Europe because they believed that America had
lost all hope and could never be fixed. In the Lost Generation by Kate O Connor, she says that,
The accusation, You are all a lost generation, referred to the lack of purpose or drive resulting from
the horrific disillusionment felt by those who grew up and lived through the war, and were then in
their twenties and thirties. Having seen pointless death on such a huge scale, many lost faith in
traditional values like courage, patriotism, and masculinity. The aftermath caused these ex pats to
write about common themes such as, Decadence, Gender roles and Impotence, and Idealized past
(O Connor). As audiences read stories written during the twentieth century, they will be able to see
these themes. Babylon Revisited by Fitzgerald, is an example of the twentieth century sense of
loss, wastefulness, and regret because Charlie had to deal with all of those problems. The reader

Nefertiti Book Report
Nefertiti by Michelle Moran is an entertaining book about the famous Royal Wife of Akhenaten.
The novel is told from the point of view of Nefertiti s little sister, Mutnodjmet. It begins
immediately before Nefertiti is chosen to become Akhenaten s Chief Wife. The book follows
Nefertiti and her family throughout their life as the royal family in Memphis and then transitioning
into the move to Amarna. The story stops only after the death of Nefertitiand Meritaten and the
crowning of Tutankhamun as Pharaohof Egypt. Moran captures a Nefertiti that is ambitious,
powerful, and sometimes scared. Nefertiti is thrown into the royal family as a teenager and was
told to try and control the heretic Pharaoh, Akhenaten. At many times, the reader gets a glimpse of
that worried and terrified young girl, but throughout most of the novel, Nefertiti is portrayed to be
a strong and controlling Chief Wife of the Pharaoh. The author shows the fights between Nefertiti
and her family as she goes against what they want by supporting Akhenaten and his religious views.

Contemporary Issues Involving Sex Crimes
Contemporary Issues Involving Sex Crimes, Sexual Offenders, and Victims of Sexual Crimes
Heather Anderson
American Public University
Abstract
Sexual abuse is any uncontrolled sexual act in which a person is pressed or physically forced to
engage against their will, or any non consensual sexual touching of a person. A sex offenderis a
person who has been convicted of certain sex crimes. A victim of a sexual crime is the subject of
unwanted sexual offenses. In order for sexual activity to be all right, both people must want it to
happen. When any person forces you to participate in any sexual act when you don t want to it is
sexual assault. Physical force is not always used to sexually assault a victim. Most victims are
assaulted by someone they know. Most offenders are male whether the victim is female or male.
The victims of sexual abuse can be males or females of any race, age, social class, appearance, or
sexual orientation. This paper will discuss some of the contemporary issues involving sex crimes,
sexual offenders, and victims of sexual crimes.
Keywords: sex crimes, victims, offenders, abuse, assault
Sex crimes can involve physical contact such as unwanted touching or no physical contact for
example, internet crimes (CSOM, 2006). Sexual abuse is unwanted contact between two or more
adults or two or more minors. Sexual abuse is sexual contact between an adult and a minor

Rap Hop And Hip Hop
Rap/Hip Hop is a huge part of today s music industry, with a more loyal fan base than any other
genre of music. Even though they have such a large following, there are still many that disapprove
of how the Rap game is conducted, and have no respect for the people who claim to be rappers.
Many people look at Hip Hop artists and think that they are all hard, gang banging, drug slanging
thugs from the hood. But in all reality most of the rappers in modern Hip Hop had never stepped
foot in the hood until after they finally built a little credibility by being a Hip Hop artist. Now, in
today s society it s acceptable for a person to front like they are something that they are not, but

Yes, obviously there are still words in Hip Hop (except for Migos music), but there is no true
meaning behind them. Today all rappers talk about is getting high and drunk, driving fast cars
and riding fast women with large features. They also talk about how no one is real anymore
while they re doing the same thing they re dogging on (hypocrites). When they write their songs,
the flow is choppy and sounds like incoherent babble. Rap/Hip Hop back in the late 80s and
throughout the 90s people were talking about things they really did. They spoke of the struggle,
they spoke on real issues and had their own views, instead of misguided judgement to make it
seem like they care. The lyrics were relatable unlike in modern Rap. Not many people are going
out and buying Bugatti s left and right while sipping on Ciroc and counting stacks of Benjamins.
But when you hear songs like First of the Month by Bone Thugs N Harmony, you can sit there
and think, Dang, I understand exactly where he s coming from with this, this is because there
are a lot of people who grew up on food stamps and welfare checks. When that money comes it s
time to celebrate like they say in the song. An example of how trash lyrics are in modern Rap is
Bobby Shmurda s Hot N****,

Reflection Of A Community Service
The aim of this essay is to reflect on my learning and development primarily during the process of
the community service that I have done with my team at St. Barnabas home, Klang. I will also be
writing on the importance my experiences, evaluating my own development and examine the issues
encountered before, during and after October 22nd. Besides, I will be highlighting on my learning

individual after this community service project.
Reflection
By the end of this service, I learned that my team and I are mostly action orientated people.
According to the Belbin s nine team roles model, I am a mixture of the shapers and
implementers. I could not decide on which role do I fall the most because throughout this journey,
I have been dynamically stimulating my team to give our best and training them to be both
disciplined and organized (Enciso, 2012), when carrying out our individual duties. For an
example, I encouraged my team to bring in more volunteers from their circles of friends and
families so that we would have more helping hands to serve the children at the home. Besides, I

Single-Gender Classrooms Essay
It is no secret that, in general, boys and girls differ in their learning styles. Capitalizing on these
differences could advance classroom performance. With on going concerns about student success in
school, any changes in the classroom that could increase student achievement should be considered.
Recognizing the learning differences between boys and girls, one of the changes that could be
instituted is single genderclassrooms.
Single gender classrooms would allow boys and girls to be instructed in a way that is conducive
to them. Literature choices could be offered to girls that are different from the ones offered to the
boys. Science experiments for the boys could be more hands on and messy as opposed to the girls

Review of the Literature When it comes to the classroom, there are several differences between
girls and boys. There are physical differences in the way their brains work, differences in the
room temperature that is best for boys and girls, and differences in how girls and boys respond
to various tones of speech (Sax, 2006). While girls prefer soft spoken teachers, Sax (2006) notes
that boys prefer to be spoken to loudly and in short, direct sentences with clear instructions (p.
195). According to Sax (2006), the ideal ambient temperature for boys is about 69 degrees and
about 75 degrees for girls (p. 193 194). Further differences involve how boys and girls learn.
McNeil states that boys may learn better under pressure and when allowed to move
around...while girls may perform better in group situations and with a lot of encouragement
(McNeil, 2008). Because of these many differences, it would stand to reason that boys and girls
would benefit from being in separate classrooms. According to Hughes (2007), the teacher would
be able to concentrate on the learning styles of each sex and use the styles to bring out the
academic best in each students. Lessons and activities could be designed with a single sex in mind
(p. 11). As Principal John Fox states, the single sex environment enables you to actually focus on
the particular needs of each gender, and those needs socially and

A Profitable Home Recording Studio For $10,000
Jumping in to starting a business can be scary and investing in a home recording studio is no

will I need? What recording jobs will I take on? What will I charge? How will I network and

gear that I already have.
Before I get too in depth I need to discuss some assumptions about the situation. The first
assumption is that I will be a home owner or at least a home renter when I pursue this business

If some of my first few jobs are making demos for bands, I want those demos to be as good as
possible since that is one of my biggest advertisements. So when the band is paying for demo
quality they will get better than demo quality no matter what that takes initially. The last reason
is simply to undercut the competition. Like I mentioned previously there are people in town
who have been in the business for quite a while and are really good. However If I can make
recordings close to as good as they can for a fraction of the cost, I m going to be getting business.
The number one thing that I want to do with my studio is record full length great quality albums
for bands. This may or may not be my bread and butter as far as recording goes but it is what I m
most interested in. The target price that I want to charge for this is $400 for a ten song album.
This is assuming that there will be a six hour block for drum tracking and eight hours total for
tracking other instruments. If I m planning to make $10 an hour this leaves 26 hours for me to
edit and mix. Anything out of the norm will be charged for accordingly. For instance if there are
excessive tempo changes in songs or the band wants to go extreme with layering guitars and
vocals. Some pieces of gear that I will need for this application are an awesome analog compressor,
stellar reverbs and good microphones. Since in owning a home studio I wouldn t likely have a

The Mechanics And Technicality Based Conceptual...
Module three was probably the most complex modules that we have encountered this semester for
me. I viewed this module as the mechanics and technicality based conceptual understanding of
consumer behavior. We recognize that consumer behavior isn t just static, but is much more in tune
with the complexity that is the Human mind. This module to me represented the consumer coming
to the finalstage of the consumption process and becoming aware that a final decision is eminent.
When I look back at my purchases I think how much went into buying an item or service and
actually getting to that point where I have made that final purchase. It s interesting the one thing
that spurs my whole consumption process is when I have told myself that I really wantsomething, I
needsomething, or I have to have something. This self awareness is what even allows the
consumer to know what specifically they want to purchase. If we don t have this identifying
behavior then product selection ends up being a moot point. My purchases are filled with items
that were to serve a specific need or want. I usually identified this need and began the evaluative
process. This process can be easily influenced through a multitude of different situational
characteristics that are both intended and unintended. There are characteristics that the store or
organization will try to put out and the portion that comes from product and consumer habits. I
think for me as I look at the products I buy and the places I go

Social And Psychological Needs For Clean Drinking Water
Humans are complex beings because unlike animals, we need more than just food and water to
survive. Most living creatures depend on food and water to meet their fundamental needs for
survival. Likewise, humans also require these basic needs, but we also have large egos that
need to be satisfied. As privileged members of a well developed society, we do not see how
fortunate we are to have easy access to unlimited amounts of fresh clean water. All of our basic
needs are easily met, so the focus for most of us is to fulfil our social and psychological needs.
Can you imagine the women and children lined up at the verge of dehydration, burning in the hot
African sun for clean drinking water? Did you feel pity for the helpless population, desperately in
need of an essential? Would you feel that same pity for the helpless crowds in first world
countries trying to be socially accepted? Whatever the answer may be, we have become
paralyzed, paralyzed by the desire to be wanted. In this way, we become very self centred because,
while the literal thirst for people in developing nations is a major issue of concern, the thirst for
social acceptancein our westernized world seems to be the primary focus of our society. Therefore,
the sense of belonging is now becoming more destructive than dehydration.
To begin with, one of the most vital and influential time of one s life is during their school years
as it is the portal to finding one s identity. My first few days of grade

The Invention Of Phase Contrast Microscopy By The Nobel...
Abstract
In the last century with the invention of phase contrast microscopy by the Nobel Prize winner Frits
Zernike, nucleoli were among the most con spicuous structures. The nucleolus was first de scribed
between 1835 and 1839, but it had to go through another century before it was discovered to be
related with a specific chromosomal locus, which marked it as a cytogenetic entity.1
At the end of the 18th century, Montgomery was the first to publish the monumental monograph,
which included color figures of nuclei and nucleo li.1
Based on the Montgomery work, further studies where conducted to analyze the function of the
nucleolus in the next century. In fact himself has studied nucleoli in the oocytes of over 175 differ
ent species and had approached at three re markable conclusions that still hold true today: 1) In one
cell there can be more than one nucleolus;
2) Cells with higher growth are presented with more and larger size;
3) The last conclusion was, the size of the cells interfere with the size of nucleolus.2
After the 1960 numerous discovers made a huge impact in the modern science, one of these is the
study on the rRNA which lead to the conclusion that the nucleolus is the site of ribosomal RNA
synthesis and nascent ribosome assembly.1
In the early 70s it was observed that the ribonu cleoprotein precursors to ribosomes contain two
classes of protein. The difference between these proteins was thought to be that one class could be

from nutmeg seed. It is widely used as hair conditioner or oil. One of the important method to

Finally, put half spoon of recrystallized product and Nujol powder in an agate mortar and grinded

Then run the spectrum.
Precautions
Acetone, which used to mix with ground nutmeg seed and wash the residue, is not very toxic but
highly flammable and also has easily evaporable property. From this reason, we have to pay special

This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the Just In Time system, the advantages and

process where goods are ordered as required, as opposed to the currently used batch processing
system where goods are made in bulk and stored in warehouses until sold. The Just In Time system
was initially developed to not only cut down the amount of waste produced by other systems, which
was seen as incurring unnecessary costs rather than adding value to the company, but to also meet
customer demands with minimum delays. It has been found that when implemented correctly the

In its simplest terms, the Kanban system is used to alert the production team exactly what needs to
be produced, the quantity required and the designated time frame (Horngren, George Srikant 1997).
5.Expected Results
The Batch Processing System currently used at AG Z is a system where products are produced in
bulk quantities or batches whether required by the customer or not. These goods are then stored in
warehouses until required. This process produces large amounts of waste in both inventory and
warehousing as the goods are not sold immediately, and could be required to be held for any length
of time.
The Just in Time system however is a process that produces necessary products as required. This
system is highly beneficial as it reduces the amount of inventory waste, as the goods are made to
order. It also reduces warehousing costs as the goods are made and shipped directly to the customer
rather than being held for extended periods at the warehouse.
As a result of these benefits, the JIT system has been particularly effective for companies with a
high customer demand on newly developed technologies such as computers. If the product is
produced when required and as specified by the customer, this not only allows the customer to order
exactly what they want with modern technology, but it also benefits the manufacturer who is
guaranteed a return on the goods straight

The Scientific Revolution and The Enlightenment Essay
The Scientific Revolution and The Enlightenment In the 17th Century, there was much controversy
between religion and science. The church supported a single worldview that God s creation was the
center of the universe. The kings and rulers were set in their ways to set the people s minds to
believe this and to never question it. From these ideas, the Enlightenment was bred from the
Scientific Revolution. Nicholas Copernicus was the first to question the universal truths and
teachings of the church. He devised a theory that the earth along with the other planets revolved
around the sun. This theory disagreed with Aristotle and the old teachings that the universe

moon, which gave proof to him that the heavens were not perfect and changeless but were more
like the changeable earth. iv He also discovered Jupiter and the four moons that revolved around
it. He only discovered one moon revolving around the earth. Galileo therefore stated if Jupiter

This research paper focuses on how IT audits are done and how they can help in assisting an
organization in its regulatory compliance effort by identifying information security weaknesses
prior to an external audit. The key players and their roles are defined, as well as organizational,
results based, point in time systems and extended period audits. This leads to a natural question. In
this new world of connected GRC, what is the role of internal audit compared to compliance?
Where do these roles remain separate and where do they share responsibilities? How can these
professionals work together to drive business value?
This paper can help in understanding how the board, management, and internal audit each have a
significant role in ensuring information security is effective. We can learn that internal auditingcan

regulatory compliance efforts by confirming to senior management and

A neoplasm that can spread to many parts throughout the body, and can lead to death.
1.Carcinomas are the most common cancer, these develop first in the epithelial tissue of the skin,
or nearby tissue that surrounds internal organs. Carcinoma in Situ is the beginning, invasive is
when it has started to grow and possibly spread to nearby tissue or organs, and metastic is when it
has travelled to more distal sites from the original site of origin. This form of cancer will usually
spread through the lymphatic system.
2.Sarcomas are cancers that are in the connective tissue of the body. There are two main groups for
this classification of cancer and those are osteosarcoma and soft tissue sarcomas.
3.Another classification of cancer that is one of the most common is Leukemia. Leukemia is

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Liposomes
Liposomes
Liposomes are artificial vesicles with lipid bilayer which are made of phospholipids and
cholesterol. Liposomes have certain limitations like tendency to be taken up by the RES system, in
the body. When given orally they increases the absorption, clinical potency, and decreases the
toxicity of the drug. As they also resembles nanoemulsions in transparency, fluid like consistency,
they are also good for cosmetic preparations.
Every new approach in the targeted therapy of rheumatoid arthritis could contribute to the
effectiveness in treating the chronic disease.
Advantages of Lipids Lipids are a class of materials which includes fatty acids, glycerides,
phospholipids, sphingolipids, waxes and sterols etc. They may be poorly soluble in water, but have
other characteristic properties like hydrophilic and hydrophobic portions which can be identified by
their fatty acid composition, melting point, HLB value, and their solubility in solvents like
Glycerine and other organic solvents. Vegetable oils and primarily used in the preparation of
different types of formulations. A adult s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also provide a favourable hydrophobic environment to delay the drug release. This
characteristic property has been extensively used in the development of sustained release dosage
forms like beads, tablets, suspensions, implants. Their hydrophobic properties can also be used for
masking the unpalatable taste of certain drugs by hot melt coating. Lipids also offer advantages for
preparation of drugs with low melting point or poor compression properties. Development of Lipid
based drug delivery system have been developed over the years, mostly for oral delivery.
Formulations can be classified as: Liquid lipid based formulations eg. Emulsions or microemulsions

A Midsummer Night s Dream Compare And Contrast In A Midsummer Night s Dream Puck and Bottom are different in many ways including the way they behave, their sense of humour, and how they deal with their problems. Puck may be considered a protagonist because he is the character who puts the remedy on Lysander s eyes and corrects the love problems with the Athenian lovers. Puckmakes the mistake by putting the love potion on Lysander s eyes, making him fall in love with Helena, forgetting Hermia. This causes problems because Hermia is still in love with Lysander and Demetrius is in love with Hermia. Like every protagonist, Puck fixes his mistakes and makes everything rights again. Unlike Puck, Bottom deals with his problems with the craftsman by trying to be better than them rather than helping them. Puck s spirit is very lively and humorous when he messes up he watches the outcome and laughs at it. For example, when he applies the potion to the wrong eyes he says Believe my King of Shadows, I mistook... and so far am I glad it so did sort, as this their jangling I esteem a sport (III.ii.363 4). This shows how his spirit dominates the play because Puck enjoys to interact with others while Bottom thinks he is the best at everything and does not need the other craftsmen. The comedy surrounding Puck differs from Bottom because Puck s sense of humour is more sophisticated than Bottom s. An example of Bottom s sense of humour is when he uses the incorrect verb when he is performing the play for the lovers. I see a voice. Now will I to the chink, to spy an I can hear my Thisbe s face (V.i.186 7). An example of Puck s sense of humour is when he turned Bottom into an ass. A text, that pushed back against critics of the previous generation and endeavoured early on to integrate structuralist thought with post structuralist. This integration between structuralism and post structuralism can be seen as an attempt to get at the importance of poetry. In an attempt to stress and illuminate poetry s unique ability to be transformative of both language and the world. Forrest Thomson in Poetic Artifice demands an intense focus on all the rhythmic, phonetic, verbal and logical devices which makes poetry different from prose to best consider this transformative nature. It is in this distinguishing of poetry from prose, and the highly formalist manner and structuralist distrust of language s transparency in which she follows that one can also see a similar differencing between the broader spectrum of literature with the sciences. There is no need in Forrest Thomson s work for differing areas to be inclusive of one another, to the point of loss of individuality, because of a homogenizing of methodology and epistemic reasoning. Throughout both Poetic Artifice and her thesis Poetry as Knowledge: The Use of Science by Twentieth Century Poets, Forest Thomson can be seen to put forward a new structure, in which separation is crucial for any kind of interrelation between the two fields of knowledge. It is crucial for readers to explore the identity of minor characters and what kind of impact they have on character development, especially in William Shakespeare s Hamlet. The minor characters play a key role in character development for the main characters. Rosencrantz and Guildensternoffer Hamlet a chance to display not only his kindness and ability to sense something is wrong, but as well as his ruthlessness when people attempt to cross his path. The relationship that Hamlet and Horatio share on the other hand, is pure loyalty and trust. We see Hamlet s intellect come out once he is around Horatio, and where Horatio is just as much as an intellectual as Hamlet, he his not as ignorant as Hamlet. Polonius is not nearly as intelligent as Hamlet, which Hamlet uses to create comic relief, making Polonius the butt of his joke. And finally, Ophelia. Ophelia is submissive and allows us to see how Hamlet would act with his perfect mistress and how Polonius would treat his dutiful daughter. In William Shakespeare s Hamlet, minor characters are the foundation of the major characters in the play. To begin, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern reveal the cold heartedness of Hamlet. There is the obvious physical death by cholera, and the cyclical death in nature: in the beginning it is spring and in the end, autumn. We see a kind of death of the ego in Gustav Aschenbach s dreams. Venice itself is a personificationof death, and death is seen as the leitmotif in musical terms. It is also reflected in the idea of the traveler coming to the end of a long fatiguing journey. It must also be noted there are no women in the story with prominent roles. From this point on, Gustav becomes totally shameless. (We have seen this theme of loss of shame as being a kind of death, and actually leading to literal death as well, in Salman Rushdie s Shame.) Mann s use of Venice as a backdrop is critical. Venice, an ancient city, inexorably sinking beneath the water, a forbidden spot (38) with stagnant lagoons (28) the fallen queen of the sea (36). Venice, with a faintly rotten scent (37) half fairy tale, half snare (55) that hid sickness for love of gain . . . (56). The city that had a disreputable secret [like] his own (57). Antigone, written by the Ancient Greek playwright Sophocles, recounts the events of Oedipusdaughter, Antigone, following her brothers deaths. Furthermore, characters such as Eurydice and Jocasta, who experience much more tragedy, diverge from Antigone in the course of their reactions. While Jocasta and Eurydice grieve for their loved ones and succumb to the sorrow, Antigone s reaction exists at the opposite end of the spectrum where she acts with the sole intent to spite Creon. Continuing, Antigone dictates that she is not afraid of the danger; if it means death, / It will not be the worst of deaths death without honor (Prologue, lines 80 81). Recognizing her inevitable fate, Antigone makes little effort to alter her actions or consequences. Her proud acceptance of her death, which she claims to be one of honor, projects her arrogance and stubbornness toward her situation. This immediate compliance fails to reflect the true outlook and reaction toward approaching death both today and in her time. Additionally, the diatribe provided by Antigone to the chorus near her death sparks much criticism when she asserts that she prays Creon s punishment equals her own when the truth of her actions emerges (Scene 4, lines 67 69). Roald Dahl and George Saunders, two renowned authors, tackle the same responsibility in their works, in the hopes of critiquing society and its distasteful, unsavory elements. The short stories Lamb to the Slaughter , written by Roald Dahl, and My Chivalric Fiasco , written by George Saunders, utilize satire and stylistic techniques to critique society and outline their perspectives on the world around them. Roald Dahl s Lamb to the Slaughter utilizes satire and humor to critique domesticity and the life of a housewife. These traits are evident when she glanced at the clock again and again, waiting for her husband, she merely wanted to satisfy herself that each minute that went by made it nearer to the time when he would come home (Dahl 1). The exaggeration and descriptive imagery humorously depicts Mary Maloney as a submissive housewife, eager to please her husband in any way. • 26. The Lost Generation By F. Scott Fitzgerald Loss, wastefulness, and regret are not words that anyone wants to hear. While reading the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald in Babylon Revisited and of Ernest Hemingway in The Snows of Kilimanjaro these three words seem to connect to two stories together. In these stories loss, wastefulness, and regret intertwine in the stories to better explain the struggles that people have to deal with. Both Fitzgerald and Hemingway were part of what is called the Lost Generation. The Lost Generation was a group of American writes who moved to Europe because they believed that America had lost all hope and could never be fixed. In the Lost Generation by Kate O Connor, she says that, The accusation, You are all a lost generation, referred to the lack of purpose or drive resulting from the horrific disillusionment felt by those who grew up and lived through the war, and were then in their twenties and thirties. Having seen pointless death on such a huge scale, many lost faith in traditional values like courage, patriotism, and masculinity. The aftermath caused these ex pats to write about common themes such as, Decadence, Gender roles and Impotence, and Idealized past (O Connor). As audiences read stories written during the twentieth century, they will be able to see these themes. Babylon Revisited by Fitzgerald, is an example of the twentieth century sense of loss, wastefulness, and regret because Charlie had to deal with all of those problems. The reader sees this ... • 29. Contemporary Issues Involving Sex Crimes Contemporary Issues Involving Sex Crimes, Sexual Offenders, and Victims of Sexual Crimes Heather Anderson American Public University Abstract Sexual abuse is any uncontrolled sexual act in which a person is pressed or physically forced to engage against their will, or any non consensual sexual touching of a person. A sex offenderis a person who has been convicted of certain sex crimes. A victim of a sexual crime is the subject of unwanted sexual offenses. In order for sexual activity to be all right, both people must want it to happen. When any person forces you to participate in any sexual act when you don t want to it is sexual assault. Physical force is not always used to sexually assault a victim. Most victims are assaulted by someone they know. Most offenders are male whether the victim is female or male. The victims of sexual abuse can be males or females of any race, age, social class, appearance, or sexual orientation. This paper will discuss some of the contemporary issues involving sex crimes, sexual offenders, and victims of sexual crimes. Even though they have such a large following, there are still many that disapprove of how the Rap game is conducted, and have no respect for the people who claim to be rappers. Many people look at Hip Hop artists and think that they are all hard, gang banging, drug slanging thugs from the hood. But in all reality most of the rappers in modern Hip Hop had never stepped foot in the hood until after they finally built a little credibility by being a Hip Hop artist. Rap/Hip Hop back in the late 80s and throughout the 90s people were talking about things they really did. There are physical differences in the way their brains work, differences in the room temperature that is best for boys and girls, and differences in how girls and boys respond to various tones of speech (Sax, 2006). While girls prefer soft spoken teachers, Sax (2006) notes that boys prefer to be spoken to loudly and in short, direct sentences with clear instructions (p. 195). According to Sax (2006), the ideal ambient temperature for boys is about 69 degrees and about 75 degrees for girls (p. 193 194). Further differences involve how boys and girls learn. McNeil states that boys may learn better under pressure and when allowed to move around...while girls may perform better in group situations and with a lot of encouragement (McNeil, 2008). Because of these many differences, it would stand to reason that boys and girls would benefit from being in separate classrooms. We recognize that consumer behavior isn t just static, but is much more in tune with the complexity that is the Human mind. This module to me represented the consumer coming to the finalstage of the consumption process and becoming aware that a final decision is eminent. When I look back at my purchases I think how much went into buying an item or service and actually getting to that point where I have made that final purchase. It s interesting the one thing that spurs my whole consumption process is when I have told myself that I really wantsomething, I needsomething, or I have to have something. This self awareness is what even allows the consumer to know what specifically they want to purchase. If we don t have this identifying behavior then product selection ends up being a moot point. My purchases are filled with items that were to serve a specific need or want. I usually identified this need and began the evaluative process. This process can be easily influenced through a multitude of different situational characteristics that are both intended and unintended. Most living creatures depend on food and water to meet their fundamental needs for survival. Likewise, humans also require these basic needs, but we also have large egos that need to be satisfied. As privileged members of a well developed society, we do not see how fortunate we are to have easy access to unlimited amounts of fresh clean water. All of our basic needs are easily met, so the focus for most of us is to fulfil our social and psychological needs. Can you imagine the women and children lined up at the verge of dehydration, burning in the hot African sun for clean drinking water? Did you feel pity for the helpless population, desperately in need of an essential? Would you feel that same pity for the helpless crowds in first world countries trying to be socially accepted? Whatever the answer may be, we have become paralyzed, paralyzed by the desire to be wanted. In this way, we become very self centred because, while the literal thirst for people in developing nations is a major issue of concern, the thirst for social acceptancein our westernized world seems to be the primary focus of our society. Abstract In the last century with the invention of phase contrast microscopy by the Nobel Prize winner Frits Zernike, nucleoli were among the most con spicuous structures. The nucleolus was first de scribed between 1835 and 1839, but it had to go through another century before it was discovered to be related with a specific chromosomal locus, which marked it as a cytogenetic entity.1 At the end of the 18th century, Montgomery was the first to publish the monumental monograph, which included color figures of nuclei and nucleo li.1 Based on the Montgomery work, further studies where conducted to analyze the function of the nucleolus in the next century. In fact himself has studied nucleoli in the oocytes of over 175 differ ent species and had approached at three re markable conclusions that still hold true today: 1) In one cell there can be more than one nucleolus; 2) Cells with higher growth are presented with more and larger size; 3) The last conclusion was, the size of the cells interfere with the size of nucleolus.2 After the 1960 numerous discovers made a huge impact in the modern science, one of these is the study on the rRNA which lead to the conclusion that the nucleolus is the site of ribosomal RNA synthesis and nascent ribosome assembly.1 In the early 70s it was observed that the ribonu cleoprotein precursors to ribosomes contain two classes of protein.
