Exercise: Consider the questions in the questionnaire and score yourself out of ten for each one (ten being high).
Consider your responses and notice areas where you scored 'low'. These are your areas for potential growth and may also indicate your personal vulnerabilities and greatest challenges. Also, notice where you confidently scored 'high' - these areas have the potential to support your challenges.

The data necessary for the empirical research presented it this study were provided by 572 people, from altogether 26 schools. The schools included 18 primary schools, 7 secondary training institutions and 1 primary and secondary school. The major question of the study related to the pedagogues’ emotional intelligence, more precisely if the teachers of different institutions showed any individual differences in their emotional intelligence patterns according to the given type of their school’s organisational culture. We also examined if the nature of the organizational culture had any influence on the development the individual’s emotional intelligence pattern. On the basis of the results we can declare that the teachers of different institutions having their own particular organizational cultures evolve different emotional intelligence patterns. Accordingly, we can come to the conclusion that in the long term the organizational culture affects the evolution of the individual’s emotional intelligence pattern and vice versa.
A company is facing high attrition rate. The major concerns being motivation and attitude of the employees.
There might be no clear links between attitude and attrition, in this study we will try to assume some attitudes of employees that could lead to attrition in an organisation. And also discuss some motivational measures that could be used to reduce the attrition rate in the company.

Emotional intelligence is a set of abilities that allows an individual to recognize, express, evaluate and understand other people’s emotions to control their actions and thinking. Emotional intelligence as a concept in the current competitive world has become very popular. Thus many organizations have resorted to EI as a key ingredient in harvesting employee’s behaviors and positive attitudes. Employee commitment, customer satisfaction, and financial rewards can be gauged using Emotional intelligence. Hence emotional intelligence is a multidimensional concept that covers, social and cultural intelligence which is a key ingredient in the success of an organization. Emotional intelligence has four major dimensions; managing emotions, self-awareness, handling relationships, and individual motivation. Self-awareness is a key EI concept majors on the determinants and repercussions of emotions and moods and their evolution over time.
Nevertheless, EI has various impacts on the management’s ability to enhance employee performance and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is the individual’s cognitive ability to evaluate reactions towards their job, either positive or negative. Job satisfaction is greatly associated with individual emotional intelligence. Individuals with high EI are more time effective at work, highly satisfied; engage in less absenteeism and lower turnover ( Altındağ & Kösedağı, 2015). Thus, they are easily appraised and regulate their other individual’s feelings hence positively impacting job satisfaction and morale. On the other hand employees with low EI find it hard in understanding, regulating and managing their emotions in cases of complex situations. This, in turn, leads to reduced morale, increased negative feelings, and stress and reduced job performance levels. Relationship management as a concept has an overall impact on employee performance. This is because emotional management is key in creating a positive working environment thus increasing performance and commitment. The organization should then support its employees by creating a good working environment thus reducing dissatisfaction and creating loyalty and improving retention.
Motivation is the positive or pleasurable state of emotion that comes as a result of the appraisal of individual job experience. Work-related appraisals can invoke a positive or negative emotional reaction from an employee. A positive remark would hence reflect employee satisfaction and bad remark indicate dissatisfaction. A Study on Incentives, Rewards and Benefits in an OrganizationMasum Hussain
Workforce today is more articulate about their needs. Employees desire the best of everything – competitive salaries, comfortable & inspirational lifestyles, job security, career enhancement options, work-life balance, and so on. Competition for talent is ever increasing and organizations need to have well-defined philosophies and strategies to help them develop innovative ways of tapping intrinsic motivation of employees by engaging their hearts and minds. While many organisations are struggling to make sufficient progress in this direction, there are organizations that have institutionalized robust practices and effective processes in different people practice areas that go a long way in positively impacting employee perception. In this regard, two types of reward are identified, and they are intrinsic reward and extrinsic reward. Extant research showed that reward can affect job satisfaction and thereby employee performance, so this study proposes a new framework based on mediating role of job satisfaction. India’s Best Companies for Rewards and Recognition was conceptualized to recognize companies who are leading the way in the area of Rewards and Recognition for us learns from. Human resources are the most important among all the resources an organization owns. To retain efficient and experienced workforce in an organization is very crucial in overall performance of an organization. Motivated employees can help make an organization competitively more value added and profitable. The present study is an attempt to find out the major factors that motivate employees and it tells what is the relationship among reward, recognition and motivation while working within an organization. The data were collected from employees of diverse type of organizations to gain wide representation of sectoral composition. The participation in survey was voluntary and confidentiality of responses was ensured. The statistical analysis showed that different dimensions of work motivation and satisfaction are significantly correlated and reward and recognition have great impact on motivation of the employees. Implications of the study for managers and policy makers in the context of human resource practices have been discussed. Limitations and guidelines for future research are also provided.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable.
