Guilt In Lady Macbeth
Everyone has done at least a few things that they feels guilty for, like maybe you stole a phone case
from target or ate three donuts for breakfast when you are supposed to be on a diet but, guilt is basic
human nature. In the play Macbeth, written by Shakespeare, Lady Macbeth is a very evil person due
to the horrible things she has done like convincing her husband, Macbeth, to commit murder.
Although Lady Macbeth is evil, the reader sympathizes for her because she reveals she feels guilty
and one feels obligated to give her a second chance and knows what guilt feels like due to personal
experience. Lady Macbeth is an immoral, evil, soul selling woman who makes all the wrong
decisions. She quickly proves in the first few acts that she has

My Job Shadow At West Liberty Middle School
I had my job shadow at West Liberty Middle School and I chose this school because I have been there
previously. I spent the whole day at this school and learned a lot throughout the day. I am a family
friend with the teacher who teaches seventh and eight grade English. Although I do not plan to teach
middle school I still enjoy and learn a lot going to this school, because there s a very diverse group of
students from my different backgrounds. I feel like shadowing this school is much more realistic to the
difficulties I may encounter as a teacher, therefore I benefit from shadowing this teacher and school.
There were many take a ways that I encountered through this shadow. There were many students that
had learning disabilities and even students that English is their second language. I was able to watch
how these students learned through a teacher helper. This stood out to me because in most schools
when a student doesn t know English or is struggling with a certain topic of area they learn the
material in a different classroom rather than in the normal classroom. I thought that this was very
interested how they implemented this into the classroom setting. There was an interpreter in the
classroom and there were six students that could not speak English. They sat in a group while the
teacher continued as normal and the interpreter would translate. I thought that this school in particular
does a very good job at including and teaching for students that need extra help or

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Caulk
Best Exterior Caulk
If you want your paint job to last, you should not skip caulking. It should be done before you start
painting your house. Most beginners and DIY painters may not be familiar with this step.
It may not be known to many but caulking has a number of benefits. It helps seal your exterior
surfaces against drafts and prevents any moisture from seeping into your home. Caulking prevents
your structures and fixtures from getting damaged.
It protects your house from harsh weather conditions, reduces temperature in your home, and prevents
peeling on the corners of your structures. In this regard, we ve rounded up a list of the best exterior
caulk for your reference.
Different Types of Caulk
A caulk is simply intended to fill in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
GE Silicone Caulk
This silicone caulk is flexible and can fit in any size of crack. It is not only waterproof but it is also
resistant to mildew, sunlight and freezing temperatures. This is appropriate for windows, doors, trims,
sidings, vents, and other types of applications. It can be used for both interior and exterior surfaces
and is guaranteed to be long lasting.
Pros:
It efficiently seals rubber based materials. I used this to fill the cracks in my rubber roofing and to my
delight, it worked well against rain. I did not have any water leaks inside my shed.
The caulk adheres well and is long lasting.
Since it is resistant to heat, it worked effectively on sealing my porch. Now, I don t get any leaks.
Cons:
You can t paint on it. Remember, not all silicone caulks can be painted on. It is better to check the
label first before buying.
Be careful when applying it. It s hard to clean once it dries in your hands.
The material tends to be sticky even after drying.
Although it does the job well, the caulk is a bit messy to apply.
Verdict:
The GE silicone caulk is a good choice for outdoor surfaces especially areas that are prone to direct
sunlight, rain and other weather conditions. It does a good job of sealing cracks and gaps in various

K. 332 First Movement Analysis Essay
Mozart Sonata No. 12 in F Major
K. 332
First Movement
Rachel Gilmore
MTC 461.001
November 26, 2012
The first movement of Mozart s piano Sonata No. 12 in F Major is written fairly typically in the very
structured sonata form. Historically is follows the main guidelines that were understood for the form.
Harmonically, is progresses like expected. There are a few surprises here and there, but they are
typical for Mozart s compositions, especially his sonatas of the 18th century. In all, it makes a very
interesting piece of work, especially with so much contrast within it.
The formal structure of the first movement is sonata form. Not only is this evident in the title but it is
very clear after an analysis of the piece has been done. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The No. 12 F Major sonata is a great example. The first movement in itself has seven different
melodic devices.
The harmony tends to stay within the realm of normal for the 1700 s. There are places, though, where
Mozart again drifts from common practices. Mozart was fairly well known for his inventive bridge
sections during the expositions of his sonatas. In these bridge sections, Mozart would begin a theme
on v (minor), ♭III, III, VI, or V that eventually creates the false sense of having transposed to the
dominant V key. Often Mozart would proceed to the tonic sounding V with an augmented sixth chord.
He does just this in Sonata number 12, as shown in the example on the top of the next page in
measures sixty four through sixty seven. VI7 ii7 V7 Ger+6 V
Mozart begins a harmony on a Major sixth chord and leads into a V with a seventh chord, giving a
dominant to tonic feel. He further gives this effect by leading into another V with the augment sixth
German chord that has been filled out with a perfect fifth and a major third above the A♭ bass. Though
the augmented sixth chord is voiced unorthodoxly, it gives the same effect.
The chord structure of this work is very functional. Cadence points are fairly clear and the phrases are
usually of a

Geology Personal Statement
Our planet is over 4.5 billion years old and yet we have only touched the surface of knowledge that it
withholds. I am naturally very curious, so the mysteries of our planet have fascinated me. My
enthusiasm in Geology grew when I was introduced to physical Geography at GCSE level and
thoroughly enjoyed the topic of plate tectonics leading me to further pursue Geology at A level.
My interest in Geology encouraged me to join the Liverpool Geological Society and attend several
lectures. The latest was on the geology of Greenland by Dr Maggie Williams giving me an insight into
how Geology affects different societies, even those at the remotest corners of the world. I have also
attended two recent Herdman symposiums at Liverpool University and particularly appreciated the
talk on Curiosity: The Mars rover. In addition, a lecture on the mining of rare earth elements has
inspired me to pursue an extended project qualification on the exploitation of these metals within
China and why they currently dominate the trade market with these essential commodities. This
project ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whilst being a part of the council I have learnt that teamwork plays a vital role in achieving goals in
an efficient way. Additionally, clear communication and presentation were vital in the publicity of
events to get as many students involved as possible. Moreover, these skills also helped me during my
role as a 6th form mentor to GCSE students who were struggling with science subjects. After my first
year of AS levels I decided to resit the year. This has been a great benefit to me as I have become a
more rounded and mature student. It has also allowed me to be certain that Geology is the subject I

The Importance Of A 3d Supportive Structure
As mentioned before, in tissue regeneration is of crucial importance the use of a 3D supportive
structure because when cells are seeded into these scaffolds enables the proliferation of cells and
chondrogenic differentiation; and with it the three dimensional tissue formation. Scaffolds must be
able to withstand physiological loading until sufficient tissue regeneration occurs. Moreover, the
material must be sufficiently porous to allow for effective transport of nutrients. Finally, it should be
biocompatible and, if biodegradable, degrade as the tissue matrix is produced leaving only nontoxic
degradation products.
When using biomaterial scaffolds in tissue engineered constructs the 3D environment of the
extracellular matrix is being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
General scaffold requirements are shown in table 4:
Scaffold Requirements: Biological and material basis:
Biocompatibility To prevent adverse inflammatory or immune responses.
Cell attachment To optimize cell seeding for delivery and retention of cells and promote maintenance
of chondrogenic phenotype.
Porous 3D environment Support cell migration, proliferation and ECM production. High surface area
to volume ratio.
Interconnected/permeable Maximize nutrient/waste exchange and limit oxygen gradients.
Biodegradation Preferably in harmony with desired repair or regeneration process, whereby, by
products are metabolized or excreted from the body without eliciting an inflammatory response.
Bioactivity/gene delivery Act as a cell carrier or control the release of growth factors, transfection
vectors and/or genetically modified cells.
Mechanical integrity and integration Sufficient to support or match surrounding native tissue at site of
implantation, as well as mediate mechanical stimulus to cells during loading.
Structural anisotropy Promote native anisotropic tissue structure.
Size and Shape Reproducibly create scaffold of clinically relevant size and shape.
Surgical application Preferably allow minimally invasive techniques using injectable/flexible scaffold

Company Law Case
Question 1
The main parties involved in this issue are Wong Siu Long ( SL ) and Wong Siu Foong ( SF ), who are
siblings. Both of them are involved in the running of their family business, Weng Fatt Jewellers Pte
Ltd ( WFJ ), which manufactures and sells contemporary fine jewellery. In WFJ, SL handled the core
business while SF was in charge of designing and ensuring the quality of the jewellery. In 2000, SF
effectively retired from the business, but SF still had a significant influence on the company.
Furthermore, SF held 25% of share capital when WFJ was duly incorporated. Later, SF was appointed
as a director of the company. Subsequently, SL insisted that the following provision be included in the
articles of association of WFJ, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to the financial crisis, FW s assets were devalued and were transferred to its parent company.
Assuming that FW does not have enough resources to pay WFJ for the damages, Samuel (WFJ s
managing director) should be concerned about the restructuring of the group because it will affect the
amount that it can claim from the FW or the group. Therefore, the bigger issue is whether WFJ can
claim the damages from FW s parent company. In Salomon v A Salomon Co Pte Ltd [1897], it was
held that the veil of incorporation creates a separate legal personality and a company should be treated
like an independent person. In Gramaphone and Typewriter Ltd v Stanley [1908], it was held that the
business run by the subsidiary was not the holding company s business. In the eyes of the law, FW is a
separate entity from its parent company. Therefore, the parent company is not liable for FW s
liabilities. However at times, incorporation is used to circumvent the law or hide the true state of
affairs from the court.4 Hence, there are exceptions to the doctrine of separate legal entity. This allows
the court to pierce the veil of incorporation and look to the

Essay about 17th Century Culture
Many important pieces of literature were produced during the 17th century. One of the most
prominent literary voices in history was William Shakespeare. He wrote and produced plays many
famous tragedies during the early 1600 s such as Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Othello,
Hamlet, Macbeth, and King Lear which many believe it was one of his best. Miguel de Cervantes
became a legendary author when he penned the novel, Don Quixote de la Mancha. This lengthy and
popular story is considered a valuable work not only to literature buffs, but also to those interested in
understanding what life was like in Spain during the reign of Kings Phillip II and III (Taylor 101). On

There is little to argue about when suggesting that the Baroque period of art and architecture during
the 1600 s was characterized by a positive, vigorous, and passionate style (Gerdes 253), enveloped in
lavish splendor, glorifying the imagery of highborn aristocrats, religion, and homoeroticism. The
theatrical, grandiose, and ornate style was heavily influenced by Christianity, life, love, symbolism,
allegory, and morbidity. The artist Michelangel Merisi da Caravaggio a leading artist during this
period used a combination of religious scenes in everyday locales filled with rough looking common
people (Kleiner 549) along with the intensity of the dramatic Baroque passion for richness in color
and texture. One of Caravaggio s most famous pieces of art was the Entombment of Christ, and David
with the Head of Goliath, for which he painted his own head as the victim, with blood drips from his
freshly severed neck, sparing nobody the gory facts of decapitation (Harris 49). The disturbed genius
was also interested in the fresco painting of the Renaissance and this is perhaps what enticed
Caravaggio to paint the Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The history of the
Baroque period cannot be discussed further without mentioning the Dutch artist Rembrandt
Harmenszoon van Rijn, whose Baroque paintings rose to universal significance and appeal (Gerdes
264). His style created gorgeous movement and fluidity characterized by

What Is The Difference Between Fantine And Cosette
Every day she smiles and act like there is nothing wrong with her. She puts everything behind so she
can take care of the one thing in this world that is worth living for. Fantine is a strong woman in a
world full of hatred. In the book Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, even though Fantine leaves Cosette
with the retched Thenardiers, she is an extremely sacrificial mother who cares deeply about her
daughter. Fantine went to the city alone, she sold her hair, teeth, and body, and she couldn t keep her
mind off of Cosette. She fell in love with the wrong man, and was abandoned to the plight of being a
single mother in an age when it was almost an intolerable scandal. (. Les Miserables Fantine and

Fantine sold all of her hair for nothing but a few franks. She was desperate, she needed the money so
Cosette could live an okay . Rich folks back then bought teeth for dentures. They were very popular.
After she sold her teeth and hair Fantine felt hideous. Fantine could not endure this hideous face, she
felt as if she were dying, she hid her face with both hands, and shrieked in anguish. (Hugo 97) Most of
us take pride in our hair and teeth. Losing both would put a dent on how you feel about yourself.
Society would look at Fantine and call her ugly without knowing what she went through to get this far.
She didn t care about her beauty like most do, Fantine just wanted a normal care free life for her
daughter. Yet, she needed more money after she sold everything she owed except one thing left, her
virtue. She became a prostitute to put food on her daughters table and anything else Cosette needed.
Fantine did not sell herself for the money like most prostitutes do. She did not care about herself
anymore. Fantine had nothing left, but her daughter and she really doesn t have her daughter. When
she reaches rock bottom as a prostitute, she wonders why her costumers don t realize they re making
love to someone who is already dead. Like Val Jean her one mistake puts her beyond the forgiveness
of others, and she pays the price until she literally has nothing. (Homiliesandstraythoughts.

The Seasons and What They Mean in Japanese Culture
In Noh there are many things that are significant, and that have deeper meanings. For instance the
simple way that they walk, sing, and move all mean something more. While doing the presentations
on a Noh play I noticed something beautiful about the play that I had chosen. Spring was mentioned a
lot, it had many cameos in the play. In Yuya the entire back story of the play is the discussions of
going to see the cherry blossoms. Spring in Japan means a whole lot more than just another season. It
means new life, and new beginnings, a way for family to come together and start anew. So while
taking this course I really picked up on the seasonal aspect of Noh whether it be spring, autumn,
summer, or winter. Each setting gave a new feeling of how people reacted, and it s true in real life
also. So in this essay I will be discussing all of the seasons and what they mean in Japanese culture,
with some symbolic things and Noh examples also. Spring also known as haru is the first of four
seasons in Japan, from March to May. The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture
goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the simplicity and the
beauty of life. It just shows that even though life is sometimes wonderful and beautiful, it can also be
very short and to always remember that we only have so long. When the cherry blossom trees bloom
for a short time each year, they show that very well since they are so beautiful but

Moral 1943-1947 Analysis
The Painting selected for the collection is Mural 1943 1947 by Sante Graziani. Sante Graziani was an
American artist and artist and art educator. He was known for his morals which adorned many public
buildings. The painting allows for an effective opportunity to inspire and evoke interest for arts in
students.
In the fall of 1942, the Museum of Fine Arts declared a competition for the formation of a mural for
the museum. Sante Graziani won the competition. Graziani incorporated the greater part of the arts
dance, music, theater, painting, sculpture, architecture, photography in his design.
I found the painting interesting as it illustrates the relation between all fine arts in a very skillful
manner. Graziani painted four panels which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To the left of the group a man in a horse mask symbolizing the stage of the theatre. Amidst the group
is a young man, maybe speaking to Graziani s desire that both young and old people should take an
interest in the arts. The second panel incorporates a group of young men working on a potter s wheel.
In the center of this panel the artist Leonard Baskin, Graziani s previous school roommate, carves a
square of wood. Music is represented by five youths sitting on a bench: one is playing the mandolin,
on the clarinet, and the others are singing. To the far right of the mural, a man in overalls leads a
young boy up the steps of the platform to enter the scene symbolically entering the world of the arts.
The work can be a great choice for the selection as it highlights the significance of art in a very
holistic manner. The inclusion of African American women and blue as well as white collar workers
depict a realistic picture of the society. As is true about any form of art, a great piece of work is always
rooted in the culture of the artist; the scene in the painting is localized by an inclusion of the local
landmarks and

Agriculture In China Since The Late 19th Century
Since the agricultural revolution, ninety nine percent of humanity had worked the fields of agriculture
in order to survive. Almost nobody had been able to move away from the fields to cities, and people in
the cities had almost never wanted to stop being a craftsman to begin a new life as a farmer. Although
the latter point remains true to this day, the former has been dramatically altered. With innovations in
agriculture as simple as hardened iron plows and better irrigation, slightly more people could make
their homes in cities. With the innovation of steam power and the reaper in the late 18th and early 19th
century, many more people had to leave farming as farm production increased to join in the steam
powered industry in the cites. With ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This created a great migration from farms to cities where farmers learned a low skill, low wage trade
in a highly productive factory, out producing high skilled artisans of the same vein. Supply of goods
skyrocketed high above the pre industrial era, driving prices way down. With such high production in
so many niches of the market, people could actually purchase nonessentials despite earning less
money from working in a factory; money was actually worth more. Because living in a city had
become cheaper, more farmers were attracted to come to work in a city further increasing this
migration. This migration is still happening today in China. Chinese are moving from agricultural to
urban areas for the same reasons americans and europeans have been doing since the 17th century.
What these factories to create, however, is a large increase in income and wealth inequality; however,
this barely matters because relatively everyone is better off. The rich did not steal their money from
anyone, and the poor are not having their money taken away. The resource pie has been getting bigger;
although some peoples pieces have been getting bigger faster, it does not change the fact that everyone
is better

Research Paper On Infant Baptism
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as

your greatest church fail. Not in the vein of what have you done to close a church, or what did you do
that turned out to be a bad ministry. These were humorous posts. te times we did something in church

infant baptism. It s at infant baptism we find ourselves being terribly Wesleyan in our theology.
Wesley stressed Prevenient grace, the grace that goes before . Wesley asserted none of us come to
Christ on our own. God moves first wooing us, drawing us near. Often we ar oblivious to the entire
thing, much like the baby. At infant baptism we say in some way we can t understand God loves you
more than we ever will. Our love pales in comparison to the love God has for you. Now lets think
about that for a moment. The baby, other than being cute, as done nothing to earn Gods love. It doesn t
even know what s going on. And yet even though the baby can give nothing back, God pours His love
upon this child in a unmemrited way. That s

18th and the 20th centuries. The first movement Evangelicalism paralleled Puritanism and the Pietist
Movement and strongly influenced Protestantism. The Evangelical movement had five principles of
faith that were to be adhered to by followers. First was that the Bible was the supreme authority for
faith and practice; second, they believe in the essential of new birth; an experience of conversion
through grace. Thirdly, the centrality of the redeeming work of Jesus Christ; fourth, the need to
evangelize the world and fifth they believe that the church is a community of believers indwelt by the
Holy Spirit . Together with the mission to evangelize ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This movement has notably contributed to the theology held in the twentieth century by, for example,
emphasizing the unity of Scripture and renewing interests in Biblical exploration. Theologian Karl
Barth contributed his perspective on neo orthodox thought and practice and Christian faith living. He
claimed that theology is to be based on God s word alone not on human philosophy. He also disagreed
with and sought to stamp out all aspects of natural theology, as it is based on creation or human
reason. Emil Brunner, argued that creation and Jesus Christ were two revelations of God which
contradicted what Barth spoke about and opened the door to new Liberalism and Nazi influence in the

The Human Brain Is Amazing
The human brain is amazing. It detects and processes things when people don t even realize it. One of
these things is sound. People hear sounds all the time, whether they are conscious of it or not. They
hear meaning they detect sound and understand what they detect. Sound is everywhere in the human
life: the beep of an alarm clock, the whirr of a fan, the rumble of thunder, the chirp of the birds, the
whine of an ambulance, the sizzle of a frying bacon, the clicking of a keyboard, the buzz of a
cellphone, the patter of rain, or the flap of a flag in the wind. People cannot even hide from it in their
sleep. The only place a person would not hear sound would be in outer space, but that would be only if
they were without a spacesuit, and, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The particles of the medium do not move permanently from their position (SantoPietro, 2013);
however, the particles adjacent to the object begin to move back and forth too, almost like a guard on
duty pacing back and forth, who, although he moves back and forth, does not move far from the initial
position. As these particles move back and forth, they bump into more particles, and the process
continues for a certain distance, depending on how hard they are vibrating.
This process of transferring the energy is called a sound wave. According to David SantoPietro
(2013), Waves can transport energy through a medium without transporting the medium itself . In
other words, a wave does not transport particles, it transports energy through the particles. Although
many people think of an ocean wave when they think of a wave, which is composed of water particles
and primarily transports energy from wind, waves carry many more types of energy than people
realize sound and light, for examples. In addition, there are two types of waves: electromagnetic and
mechanical. Electromagnetic waves can transport energy through a vacuum (an empty space with no
matter), while mechanical waves cannot transport energy through a vacuum. Light is an example of an
electromagnetic wave, while sound is a mechanical wave. Then there are three subtypes of waves:
transverse, surface, and longitudinal. In a transverse wave, particles oscillate perpendicular to the
direction they are

Although only 5 % of Sula’s wine brands are exported, Sula...
Although only 5 % of Sula s wine brands are exported, Sula has been venturing into newer markets
across the globe. Over the last 6 years, Sula s Global Brand Ambassador led Sula s introduction into
new markets such as Canada, Belgium and the Middle East and emerging markets like China are in
pipeline this year.
Realizing that the global wine market is competitive and brand sensitive, Sula has used a wherein it
partners with international distributors. For instance, the company has recently launched the Nasika

Finally, this strategy we believe is a stepping stone till Sula increases its awareness in the global
market via the distributors and starts making independent forays.
Sula has been relying on and in many instances touting it s nasik roots to project itself as the finest
wines available from the best wine region in India. This is also reflected in the branding adopted with
their range available through Laithwaithe s.
However, Nasik is not the only wine growing region in India and with the recent acceptance and
uptake of wine in India as well as abroad, a slew of new players have emerged, some even predating
Sula. Established wine makers, much like Sula have developed several regions pan India and have
imported, harvested and crushed grapes in these regions. Some examples of the same are, Grover
Vineyards in Nandi Hills, The Port wines of Goa such as Vinicola, Chateau D Ori with its presence in
Dindori, Four Seasons in Baramati and Chateau Indage Narayangaon.
Each of these regions can lay claim to unique branding opportunities and representation on
International tables and wine lists. Furthermore, greater the acceptance and adoption of Sula across the
world, greater the chance that distributors would eventually add other brands to their selections. The
Nasik valley itself has seen a proliferation of several world class vineyards, including the much lauded

The Influence Of Tax Credits
The Influence of Tax Credits The impetus behind the tax credits appears to be two fold. As taxpayers
work to improve energy efficiency, decreasing usage, and lessening the environmental impact of their
daily activities, they may receive financial rewards based on their actions. The offer of tax credits is an
attempt to achieve a certain behavior from the consumer. However, two important things must take
place before the consumer takes action. First, the consumer must be aware that a tax credit is
available. Sales are highly publicized, but publicity relating to tax credits is limited. Once the
consumer is made aware of a tax credit, they must view the tax credit as a reduction in price, but a tax
credit is much more complicated with several caveats. Environmental tax credits offered by various
levels of government are extremely popular with both the governing bodies and those who benefit
from the credits. Government is seen as taking a positive step not only towards improving the
environment, but reducing the United States dependency on fuel from other countries which in turn
allows for greater security. Tax credits allow the individual or business to decide how to spend their
money and the financial benefit of a particular behavior. The financial benefit may be in the form of
reduced operating costs or taxes. However a closer look at eco friendly tax credits for the individual
consumer points to a class discrepancy. These tax credits require an initial and

What Is The American Enlightenment
The American Revolutionary War was fought from 1775 to 1783. It was also known as the American
War of Independence. The war took place towards the end of the eighteenth century when thirteen
colonies in America joint to get freedom from the British Empire. The British were not willing to give
up their great North American colonies without a fight.
The American Revolution occurred because of a series of political, intellectual, and social
transformations in the American government and society, which is known as the American
Enlightenment. During the American Revolution, the American colonies faced the significant
challenge of leading international relations and seeking the international support it needed to fight

The Leadership Of A Successful Team
Administration sets the tone and time for collaboration. It is imperative for school to have educators
and staff to work in collaborative teams. The common goal is student achievement. Through respect
and partnership the fulfillment can be endless. This year I was invited to be the Positive Behavioral
Support Internal Coach for my K 8 school. I accepted and quickly learned that collaboration and
organization are key components to a successful team. At first, the focus should be members of the
team or group. Asking for volunteer is a great way to get started. People are more apt to commit and
put the effort into the cause when they want to be there; however, administration may appoint or
suggest people because of their insight to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am in favor of a democratic way for decisions making; therefore I would expect cooperation in any
resolution. During the course of one of my PBS meetings, a goal was determining the requirements for
students to attend a PBS celebration. In a prior meeting each of the members had a 1 2 minutes to
express their concerns about PBS being just for behavior, failing grades may not be a behavior in
elementary grades, but may be in middle school. The task for each member was to discuss it with their
grade levels and come back ready to vote. At the next meeting we voted on three choices, only office
discipline referrals, office discipline referrals and failing grades of only middle school students, office
discipline referrals and failing grades for the K 8th grade. The vote came to 7 to 1 that students could
not have office discipline referral and could not fail (59.4% or below) a core class. During a staff
meeting for PBS implementation and data review, other staff members didn t not agree with the
requirements, but through the PBS team we had democratic evidence that it was a collaborative effort
of the team. Other teams, committees and task forces work should work in the same manner. There are
grade level teams that should be discussing standards that can be crossed within curriculum.
Department teams should be vertically planning to account for deficiencies within the standard
progression. For example, in a PLC we discussed writing across the

Prisoners Of War Essay
Treatment of prisoners of war (POW) was bad in Vietnam, but almost just as bad when they got home.
POWs were subjected to awful physical, and mental treatment of POWs in Vietnam. They were
tortured in various, awful ways. Finally when they got home, to the United States they were treated
horribly as well.
In the beginning of the Vietnam War the Vietnamese people stated that the American prisoners
captured had committed war crimes against the north Vietnamese people, and did not get the rights of
a regular prisoner, and those people were called Prisoners of War (POWs). Therefore they were treated
even more unfairly than just a regular American Prisoner. That is also why the Vietnamese refused to
provide the names of the prisoners being held, and did not allow visits from Red Cross to make sure

signs of respect to their enemies because they felt like they were betraying the United States, but at the
same time they did not want to be tortured. They were constantly having their morals tested. Some
POWs who had been captive for the longest time ended up going insane. They were in a foreign
country, with no connection to anything, and had no contact to their families. Meanwhile they had no
idea what was going on in the US. We can not know for sure what each individual was feeling at the

It is in this context of new immigration and the upheaval of the Civil Rights movement that
multiculturalism was chosen as the concept that addressed present and provided for past shifts in the
racial and ethnic makeup of the United States. Faced with groups who did not fit into (the recently
challenged) white/black racial hierarchy but were deemed as distinct from that of (white) US
American culture, those natives of the United States needed to find a new rhetoric and ideology that
could represent the new reality of the United States. In addition, many of those arriving in the U.S. did
not speak the same racial language as U.S. Americans i.e. they did not understand their personal
identities within the framework of U.S. racial relations.

the pattern of constantly encouraging her troops and ascertain their allegiance with her. In addition,
another use of anaphora would be I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general (line 11

of my kingdom, and of my people (lines 18 9). Queen Elizabeth I utilizes the repeating words of and

Structure Of Protein Essay
The Structure of Proteins
Introduction
Campbell and Farrell define proteins as polymers of amino acids that have been covalently joined
through peptide bonds to form amino acid chains (61). A short amino acid chain comprising of thirty
amino acids forms a peptide, and a longer chain of amino acids forms a polypeptide or a protein. Each
of the amino acids making up a protein, has a fundamental design that comprises of a central carbon or
alpha carbon that is bonded to a hydrogen element, an amino grouping, a carboxyl grouping, and a
unique side chain or the R group (Campbell and Farrell 61).
Proteins serve a myriad of functions whether within or outside of the cells. These functions include
structural roles (cytoskeleton), transport of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The primary protein structure can be likened to a human chain in which each person is assumed to be
an amino acid and their hands viewed as the carboxyl and amino groups. The person on one end of the
chain, who has a free left hand, is assumed to be the free carboxyl group. The person on the other end,
who has a free right hand, is assumed to be the free amino group. Everyone in this chain has a left
hand linked to somebody s right hand and a right hand linked to somebody else s left hand forming
peptide bonds. The heads and legs just like the side chains and hydrogens, do not take part in the
linking.
In most instances, protein molecules are usually embedded from hundreds to thousands of amino
acids. A repertoire of twenty different amino acids, joined in any possible sequence allows the
existence of an inconceivably large number of proteins that is infinite in nature.
2. Secondary Structure of Proteins
Bettelheim, Brown, Campbell and Farrell assert that polypeptide chains do not extend in straight lines
but rather they fold in various ways and give rise to a large number of three dimensional structures
(594). This folding or conformation of amino acids in the localized regions of the polypeptide chains
defines the secondary structure of proteins. The main force responsible for the secondary structure is
the non covalent

Why Did The President Trump Give More Power
Eventually, on March 27th, along with other disapproval s from the CRA, the President signed H.J.

supposedly did that through this resolution. Instead of allowing the BLM to have the ultimate say, it
gives more power to corporations. Similarly to signing the Stream Protection disapproval, Trumps
motive in his signing was to deregulate America in hopes of more jobs. Paul Larkin, a research for the

On, Nov. 14, 2000, President Clinton s Occupational Safety and Health Administration finalized an
ergonomics regulation meant to reduce instances of wrist pain, back problems, and other injuries
stemming from repetitive tasks at work. Republicans controlled both chambers at this point, but in
order to nullify the rule means 2/3 of both chambers would have to support the congressional veto.
But in 2001, George W. Bush was sworn in as President. Republicans then had control of both
chambers of Congress and the Presidency. Therefore, because the ergonomic regulation fell into the 60
day window, through the CRA, Congress and Bush could override the regulation. After Bush signed
the disapproval into law, he states, This resolution is a good and proper use of the [Congressional

needs to be a balance between and an understanding of the costs and benefits associated with Federal

14 CRA resolutions that repealed his predecessor s work proves how law making is becoming more
unorthodox. The CRA is definitely not a very well known tool used to make legislation. In fact, Emily

less of a tomboy. In the beginning of the book, Scout is a tomboy. She acts, dresses, and walks like a

The Predicament of Amnesia
The Predicament with Amnesia Amnesia is a type of memory loss that one develops in certain
situations. It does not mean, however, that one forgets their self identity. It states that those who have
amnesia only have the trouble of acquiring new memories or forming new memories. Some causes of
amnesia are damage to the brain structures that form the limbic system, which is where your emotions
and memories are controlled, those who have Alzheimer s disease, seizures, strokes, tumors in the area
of the brain that controls memory, and also alcohol abuse. There are two main different types of

His memory had last between 7 30 seconds. Clive had a spatial implicit memory. Within his emotional

The Big Five Personality Traits Essay
The personality trait that I chose is one of the big five personality traits known as Extraversion.
Extraversion is a trait, within the factor called plasticity, which relates to individuals who are social
and outgoing. More specifically, they like a lot of various stimulation, it comes of no surprise that
these individuals seek out people, activities and noisy places. These individuals can seek excitement;
they are impulsive, risk taking, argumentative and unreliable, while also upbeat, optimistic, warm,
assertive, and like to be active. As well, extroverts tend to be viewed as more attractive and popular
than introverts are, and can be seen attending more parties and drinking in excess. The individual that
I will address is, Hank Moody, the main character on the T.V. show Californiacation. Hank approaches
life in a satirical manner, making everything into his own little joke, making life seem less serious.
Hank is seen as a popular, enthusiastic, assertive, dominant and attractive woman admirer, having a
way with his words, which is related to his career as a writer. His charming and warm approach also
makes him successful with so many women. Hank constantly seeks out attention and stimulating
situations, whether it be fights, or making his presence known in a room. He becomes victim to mate

women and loses the momentum he builds. In the show, Hank is always friending new

Protests In Antigone By Sophocles
Throughout Antigone, Sophocles develops the idea of emotion in protests through the actions of
Antigone. Antigone, angry at Creon s refusal to bury her dead brother, decides to protest and go
against the rule of the state. Creon responds in return, rashly sentencing Antigone to death. At the end,
the play ends in tragedy, with Creon s son Haemon, Creon s wife, and Antigone all dead from their
emotionally driven choices. Throughout his play, Sophocles develops the idea of pathos in protests,
showing that emotions are the driving force in starting many protests, the use of pathos is essential if
the protest wishes to grow and gather a following, and that relying on simply pathos and emotions will
lead to the failure of the protest without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the play, Sophocles presents the great power pathos has on swaying the minds of people,
and the great importance it has in allowing a protest to flourish. When looking at the chorus, it is clear
the necessity pathos has in convincing others to join your side. When Antigone is sentenced to death,
the chorus says, In all her lovely strength she traded the light of day for the bolted brazen vault buried
within her tomb, her bridal chamber, wed to the yoke and broken. But she was of glorious birth my
child, my child (l.1036 1040). The positive light that the chorus shines onto Antigone, is a stark
contrast to how they portrayed Antigone as a wretched child in the beginning. The reason for this
sudden change is evident when the chorus mentions Antigone s current dire situation. By apealing to
the people s emotions through her actions of being sentenced to death, Antigone suceeds in gaining
support that she would not have had without the use of pathos. A modern example of the use of pathos
being vital in drawing people in to a protest could be seen throught the Civil Rights Movement led by
Maritn Luther King Jr. His use of pathos shines through in his Letter from Birmingham Jail , where he
writes, As you seek to explain to your six year old daughter why she can t go to the public

  • 2. Guilt In Lady Macbeth Everyone has done at least a few things that they feels guilty for, like maybe you stole a phone case from target or ate three donuts for breakfast when you are supposed to be on a diet but, guilt is basic human nature. In the play Macbeth, written by Shakespeare, Lady Macbeth is a very evil person due to the horrible things she has done like convincing her husband, Macbeth, to commit murder. Although Lady Macbeth is evil, the reader sympathizes for her because she reveals she feels guilty and one feels obligated to give her a second chance and knows what guilt feels like due to personal experience. Lady Macbeth is an immoral, evil, soul selling woman who makes all the wrong decisions. She quickly proves in the first few acts that she has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. My Job Shadow At West Liberty Middle School I had my job shadow at West Liberty Middle School and I chose this school because I have been there previously. I spent the whole day at this school and learned a lot throughout the day. I am a family friend with the teacher who teaches seventh and eight grade English. Although I do not plan to teach middle school I still enjoy and learn a lot going to this school, because there s a very diverse group of students from my different backgrounds. I feel like shadowing this school is much more realistic to the difficulties I may encounter as a teacher, therefore I benefit from shadowing this teacher and school. There were many take a ways that I encountered through this shadow. There were many students that had learning disabilities and even students that English is their second language. I was able to watch how these students learned through a teacher helper. This stood out to me because in most schools when a student doesn t know English or is struggling with a certain topic of area they learn the material in a different classroom rather than in the normal classroom. I thought that this was very interested how they implemented this into the classroom setting. There was an interpreter in the classroom and there were six students that could not speak English. They sat in a group while the teacher continued as normal and the interpreter would translate. I thought that this school in particular does a very good job at including and teaching for students that need extra help or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Caulk Best Exterior Caulk If you want your paint job to last, you should not skip caulking. It should be done before you start painting your house. Most beginners and DIY painters may not be familiar with this step. It may not be known to many but caulking has a number of benefits. It helps seal your exterior surfaces against drafts and prevents any moisture from seeping into your home. Caulking prevents your structures and fixtures from getting damaged. It protects your house from harsh weather conditions, reduces temperature in your home, and prevents peeling on the corners of your structures. In this regard, we ve rounded up a list of the best exterior caulk for your reference. Different Types of Caulk A caulk is simply intended to fill in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... GE Silicone Caulk This silicone caulk is flexible and can fit in any size of crack. It is not only waterproof but it is also resistant to mildew, sunlight and freezing temperatures. This is appropriate for windows, doors, trims, sidings, vents, and other types of applications. It can be used for both interior and exterior surfaces and is guaranteed to be long lasting. Pros: It efficiently seals rubber based materials. I used this to fill the cracks in my rubber roofing and to my delight, it worked well against rain. I did not have any water leaks inside my shed. The caulk adheres well and is long lasting. Since it is resistant to heat, it worked effectively on sealing my porch. Now, I don t get any leaks. Cons: You can t paint on it. Remember, not all silicone caulks can be painted on. It is better to check the label first before buying. Be careful when applying it. It s hard to clean once it dries in your hands. The material tends to be sticky even after drying. Although it does the job well, the caulk is a bit messy to apply. Verdict: The GE silicone caulk is a good choice for outdoor surfaces especially areas that are prone to direct sunlight, rain and other weather conditions. • 5. K. 332 First Movement Analysis Essay Mozart Sonata No. 12 in F Major K. 332 First Movement Rachel Gilmore MTC 461.001 November 26, 2012 The first movement of Mozart s piano Sonata No. 12 in F Major is written fairly typically in the very structured sonata form. Historically is follows the main guidelines that were understood for the form. Harmonically, is progresses like expected. There are a few surprises here and there, but they are typical for Mozart s compositions, especially his sonatas of the 18th century. In all, it makes a very interesting piece of work, especially with so much contrast within it. The formal structure of the first movement is sonata form. Not only is this evident in the title but it is very clear after an analysis of the piece has been done. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The No. 12 F Major sonata is a great example. The first movement in itself has seven different melodic devices. The harmony tends to stay within the realm of normal for the 1700 s. There are places, though, where Mozart again drifts from common practices. Mozart was fairly well known for his inventive bridge sections during the expositions of his sonatas. In these bridge sections, Mozart would begin a theme on v (minor), ♭III, III, VI, or V that eventually creates the false sense of having transposed to the dominant V key. Often Mozart would proceed to the tonic sounding V with an augmented sixth chord. He does just this in Sonata number 12, as shown in the example on the top of the next page in measures sixty four through sixty seven. VI7 ii7 V7 Ger+6 V Mozart begins a harmony on a Major sixth chord and leads into a V with a seventh chord, giving a dominant to tonic feel. He further gives this effect by leading into another V with the augment sixth German chord that has been filled out with a perfect fifth and a major third above the A♭ bass. Though the augmented sixth chord is voiced unorthodoxly, it gives the same effect. The chord structure of this work is very functional. Cadence points are fairly clear and the phrases are usually of a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Geology Personal Statement Our planet is over 4.5 billion years old and yet we have only touched the surface of knowledge that it withholds. I am naturally very curious, so the mysteries of our planet have fascinated me. My enthusiasm in Geology grew when I was introduced to physical Geography at GCSE level and thoroughly enjoyed the topic of plate tectonics leading me to further pursue Geology at A level. My interest in Geology encouraged me to join the Liverpool Geological Society and attend several lectures. The latest was on the geology of Greenland by Dr Maggie Williams giving me an insight into how Geology affects different societies, even those at the remotest corners of the world. I have also attended two recent Herdman symposiums at Liverpool University and particularly appreciated the talk on Curiosity: The Mars rover. In addition, a lecture on the mining of rare earth elements has inspired me to pursue an extended project qualification on the exploitation of these metals within China and why they currently dominate the trade market with these essential commodities. This project ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Whilst being a part of the council I have learnt that teamwork plays a vital role in achieving goals in an efficient way. This has been a great benefit to me as I have become a more rounded and mature student. It has also allowed me to be certain that Geology is the subject I wish to study further at degree level and pursue as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Importance Of A 3d Supportive Structure As mentioned before, in tissue regeneration is of crucial importance the use of a 3D supportive structure because when cells are seeded into these scaffolds enables the proliferation of cells and chondrogenic differentiation; and with it the three dimensional tissue formation. Scaffolds must be able to withstand physiological loading until sufficient tissue regeneration occurs. Moreover, the material must be sufficiently porous to allow for effective transport of nutrients. Assuming that FW does not have enough resources to pay WFJ for the damages, Samuel (WFJ s managing director) should be concerned about the restructuring of the group because it will affect the amount that it can claim from the FW or the group. Therefore, the bigger issue is whether WFJ can claim the damages from FW s parent company. In Salomon v A Salomon Co Pte Ltd [1897], it was held that the veil of incorporation creates a separate legal personality and a company should be treated like an independent person. In Gramaphone and Typewriter Ltd v Stanley [1908], it was held that the business run by the subsidiary was not the holding company s business. He wrote and produced plays many famous tragedies during the early 1600 s such as Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Othello, Hamlet, Macbeth, and King Lear which many believe it was one of his best. Miguel de Cervantes became a legendary author when he penned the novel, Don Quixote de la Mancha. There is little to argue about when suggesting that the Baroque period of art and architecture during the 1600 s was characterized by a positive, vigorous, and passionate style (Gerdes 253), enveloped in lavish splendor, glorifying the imagery of highborn aristocrats, religion, and homoeroticism. The theatrical, grandiose, and ornate style was heavily influenced by Christianity, life, love, symbolism, allegory, and morbidity. The artist Michelangel Merisi da Caravaggio a leading artist during this period used a combination of religious scenes in everyday locales filled with rough looking common people (Kleiner 549) along with the intensity of the dramatic Baroque passion for richness in color and texture. One of Caravaggio s most famous pieces of art was the Entombment of Christ, and David with the Head of Goliath, for which he painted his own head as the victim, with blood drips from his freshly severed neck, sparing nobody the gory facts of decapitation (Harris 49). The disturbed genius was also interested in the fresco painting of the Renaissance and this is perhaps what enticed Caravaggio to paint the Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The history of the Baroque period cannot be discussed further without mentioning the Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, whose Baroque paintings rose to universal significance and appeal (Gerdes 264). She puts everything behind so she can take care of the one thing in this world that is worth living for. Fantine is a strong woman in a world full of hatred. In the book Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, even though Fantine leaves Cosette with the retched Thenardiers, she is an extremely sacrificial mother who cares deeply about her daughter. Fantine went to the city alone, she sold her hair, teeth, and body, and she couldn t keep her mind off of Cosette. • 12. The Seasons and What They Mean in Japanese Culture In Noh there are many things that are significant, and that have deeper meanings. For instance the simple way that they walk, sing, and move all mean something more. While doing the presentations on a Noh play I noticed something beautiful about the play that I had chosen. Spring was mentioned a lot, it had many cameos in the play. In Yuya the entire back story of the play is the discussions of going to see the cherry blossoms. Spring in Japan means a whole lot more than just another season. It means new life, and new beginnings, a way for family to come together and start anew. So while taking this course I really picked up on the seasonal aspect of Noh whether it be spring, autumn, summer, or winter. Each setting gave a new feeling of how people reacted, and it s true in real life also. So in this essay I will be discussing all of the seasons and what they mean in Japanese culture, with some symbolic things and Noh examples also. Spring also known as haru is the first of four seasons in Japan, from March to May. The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the simplicity and the beauty of life. It just shows that even though life is sometimes wonderful and beautiful, it can also be very short and to always remember that we only have so long. Almost nobody had been able to move away from the fields to cities, and people in the cities had almost never wanted to stop being a craftsman to begin a new life as a farmer. Although the latter point remains true to this day, the former has been dramatically altered. With innovations in agriculture as simple as hardened iron plows and better irrigation, slightly more people could make their homes in cities. With the innovation of steam power and the reaper in the late 18th and early 19th century, many more people had to leave farming as farm production increased to join in the steam powered industry in the cites. This created a great migration from farms to cities where farmers learned a low skill, low wage trade in a highly productive factory, out producing high skilled artisans of the same vein. With such high production in so many niches of the market, people could actually purchase nonessentials despite earning less money from working in a factory; money was actually worth more. Because living in a city had become cheaper, more farmers were attracted to come to work in a city further increasing this migration. This migration is still happening today in China. Chinese are moving from agricultural to urban areas for the same reasons americans and europeans have been doing since the 17th century. What these factories to create, however, is a large increase in income and wealth inequality; however, this barely matters because relatively everyone is better off. As these particles move back and forth, they bump into more particles, and the process continues for a certain distance, depending on how hard they are vibrating. • 23. The Influence Of Tax Credits The Influence of Tax Credits The impetus behind the tax credits appears to be two fold. As taxpayers work to improve energy efficiency, decreasing usage, and lessening the environmental impact of their daily activities, they may receive financial rewards based on their actions. The offer of tax credits is an attempt to achieve a certain behavior from the consumer. However, two important things must take place before the consumer takes action. First, the consumer must be aware that a tax credit is available. Sales are highly publicized, but publicity relating to tax credits is limited. Once the consumer is made aware of a tax credit, they must view the tax credit as a reduction in price, but a tax credit is much more complicated with several caveats. Environmental tax credits offered by various levels of government are extremely popular with both the governing bodies and those who benefit from the credits. Government is seen as taking a positive step not only towards improving the environment, but reducing the United States dependency on fuel from other countries which in turn allows for greater security. Tax credits allow the individual or business to decide how to spend their money and the financial benefit of a particular behavior. The financial benefit may be in the form of reduced operating costs or taxes. However a closer look at eco friendly tax credits for the individual consumer points to a class discrepancy. POWs were subjected to awful physical, and mental treatment of POWs in Vietnam. They were tortured in various, awful ways. Finally when they got home, to the United States they were treated horribly as well. In the beginning of the Vietnam War the Vietnamese people stated that the American prisoners captured had committed war crimes against the north Vietnamese people, and did not get the rights of a regular prisoner, and those people were called Prisoners of War (POWs). Therefore they were treated even more unfairly than just a regular American Prisoner. An example of this would be when the captors would make POWs salute to the Vietnamese flag, and if they refused they would be tortured. This was hard on the Americans because they did not want to salute and give signs of respect to their enemies because they felt like they were betraying the United States, but at the same time they did not want to be tortured. They were constantly having their morals tested. Some POWs who had been captive for the longest time ended up going insane. They were in a foreign country, with no connection to anything, and had no contact to their families. Meanwhile they had no idea what was going on in the US. We can not know for sure what each individual was feeling at the time I believe that they could not have felt safe or sane. Constantly having to be worried for their life. Queen Elizabeth I uses this rhetorical strategy to emphasize the pattern of constantly encouraging her troops and ascertain their allegiance with her. In addition, another use of anaphora would be I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general (line 11 12) again Queen Elizabeth I is affirming herself as the leader for her people in which her troops will follow and even die for her. Additionally, another example is when Queen Elizabeth I says of my God, of my kingdom, and of my people (lines 18 9). Queen Elizabeth I utilizes the repeating words of and my because she is implanting the notion and state of jubilance in to her troops that they will win the war. • 31. Structure Of Protein Essay The Structure of Proteins Introduction Campbell and Farrell define proteins as polymers of amino acids that have been covalently joined through peptide bonds to form amino acid chains (61). A short amino acid chain comprising of thirty amino acids forms a peptide, and a longer chain of amino acids forms a polypeptide or a protein. Each of the amino acids making up a protein, has a fundamental design that comprises of a central carbon or alpha carbon that is bonded to a hydrogen element, an amino grouping, a carboxyl grouping, and a unique side chain or the R group (Campbell and Farrell 61). Proteins serve a myriad of functions whether within or outside of the cells. These functions include structural roles (cytoskeleton), transport of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The primary protein structure can be likened to a human chain in which each person is assumed to be an amino acid and their hands viewed as the carboxyl and amino groups. The person on one end of the chain, who has a free left hand, is assumed to be the free carboxyl group. The person on the other end, who has a free right hand, is assumed to be the free amino group. Everyone in this chain has a left hand linked to somebody s right hand and a right hand linked to somebody else s left hand forming peptide bonds. The heads and legs just like the side chains and hydrogens, do not take part in the linking. In most instances, protein molecules are usually embedded from hundreds to thousands of amino acids. A repertoire of twenty different amino acids, joined in any possible sequence allows the existence of an inconceivably large number of proteins that is infinite in nature. 2. Secondary Structure of Proteins Bettelheim, Brown, Campbell and Farrell assert that polypeptide chains do not extend in straight lines but rather they fold in various ways and give rise to a large number of three dimensional structures (594). This folding or conformation of amino acids in the localized regions of the polypeptide chains defines the secondary structure of proteins. The main force responsible for the secondary structure is the non covalent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When Trump took office, he talked about giving more power to the people, and he supposedly did that through this resolution. Instead of allowing the BLM to have the ultimate say, it gives more power to corporations. Similarly to signing the Stream Protection disapproval, Trumps motive in his signing was to deregulate America in hopes of more jobs. Republicans controlled both chambers at this point, but in order to nullify the rule means 2/3 of both chambers would have to support the congressional veto. But in 2001, George W. Bush was sworn in as President. Republicans then had control of both chambers of Congress and the Presidency. Therefore, because the ergonomic regulation fell into the 60 day window, through the CRA, Congress and Bush could override the regulation. After Bush signed the disapproval into law, he states, This resolution is a good and proper use of the [Congressional Review] Act because the different branches of our Government need to be held accountable. There needs to be a balance between and an understanding of the costs and benefits associated with Federal regulations, (Agragna). Even though the Bush administration didn t use the CRA as a way to regulate his executive branch, many claim this was a good use of the congressional device, but Trump signing 14 CRA resolutions that repealed his predecessor s work proves how law making is becoming more unorthodox. Extraversion is a trait, within the factor called plasticity, which relates to individuals who are social and outgoing. More specifically, they like a lot of various stimulation, it comes of no surprise that these individuals seek out people, activities and noisy places. These individuals can seek excitement; they are impulsive, risk taking, argumentative and unreliable, while also upbeat, optimistic, warm, assertive, and like to be active. As well, extroverts tend to be viewed as more attractive and popular than introverts are, and can be seen attending more parties and drinking in excess. The individual that I will address is, Hank Moody, the main character on the T.V. show Californiacation. Hank approaches life in a satirical manner, making everything into his own little joke, making life seem less serious. Hank is seen as a popular, enthusiastic, assertive, dominant and attractive woman admirer, having a way with his words, which is related to his career as a writer. Antigone, angry at Creon s refusal to bury her dead brother, decides to protest and go against the rule of the state. Creon responds in return, rashly sentencing Antigone to death. At the end, the play ends in tragedy, with Creon s son Haemon, Creon s wife, and Antigone all dead from their emotionally driven choices. Throughout his play, Sophocles develops the idea of pathos in protests, showing that emotions are the driving force in starting many protests, the use of pathos is essential if the protest wishes to grow and gather a following, and that relying on simply pathos and emotions will lead to the failure of the protest without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout the play, Sophocles presents the great power pathos has on swaying the minds of people, and the great importance it has in allowing a protest to flourish. When looking at the chorus, it is clear the necessity pathos has in convincing others to join your side. When Antigone is sentenced to death, the chorus says, In all her lovely strength she traded the light of day for the bolted brazen vault buried within her tomb, her bridal chamber, wed to the yoke and broken. But she was of glorious birth my child, my child (l.1036 1040). The positive light that the chorus shines onto Antigone, is a stark contrast to how they portrayed Antigone as a wretched child in the beginning. The reason for this sudden change is evident when the chorus mentions Antigone s current dire situation. By apealing to the people s emotions through her actions of being sentenced to death, Antigone suceeds in gaining support that she would not have had without the use of pathos. A modern example of the use of pathos being vital in drawing people in to a protest could be seen throught the Civil Rights Movement led by Maritn Luther King Jr. His use of pathos shines through in his Letter from Birmingham Jail , where he writes, As you seek to explain to your six year old daughter why she can t go to the public ...
