Order and Chaos
Order and chaos are related to and dependent on each other. The clear cut distinction between them is
man made and an illusion. Society uses order to regulate all aspects of the world from nature to
personal lives, while chaos allows for open mindedness and also provides an explanation for certain
aspects of the world. This can be seen in science, theology, music, language, and imaginative play.
Science is rational, logical, and orderly. It has the ability to break apart complex systems into simpler
ones described by theories ad equations. This is seen in the description of the planets orbits, evolution,
and Newton s laws. Scientists have a thirst for knowledge and seek understanding about the world
around them. Their methods ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anthropology, fossils, and other material evidence provide proof of evolution by similarities between
organisms of the past and present ,including the controversial belief that humans evolved from apes.
All these discoveries discredit the belief that humans were created to posses dominion over the world,
and all that was created has existed from the beginning. The five percent of fundamentalists that are
radical and use violence and other unusual means to support their views have made fundamentalism
seem extreme and crazy. They discriminate against other Christians, who do not have their same
views, and deem them not real Christians. They are also completely intolerant of other religions,
offering no salvation outside their faith. Throughout the ages these two groups have clashed as seen in
the trial of Galileo. The common denominator in Galileo s trial ,and other controversies between the
ideologies is each group s stubbornness and intolerance of other views. One view can not exist without
the other ,and they are both impractical and incomplete. The joining of the two is essential for a
human being and the world as a whole. This point is clearly illustrated in the Library of Babel where
all was known ,yet chaos was rampant because no faith could exist.
Music can sometimes sound random, chaotic, and spontaneous but all music has a certain structure
and fundamental

Examples Of Affordable Housing Problems In Vancouver
Affordable housing problem in Vancouver
Context
Vancouver is a major city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. The housing crisis has plagued
its residents, governments, organisations, and the community as a whole. The issues faced by the city
of Vancouver is not about having enough houses to accommodate residents, but primarily around
affordability. Around twenty percent of Canadian renters face a housing crisis, spending more than
half their income on shelter costs (McMahon, 2015). In 2010, different groups such as lone parent
households with children, couple parent households with children, senior led households, and singles
living alone spent 50 99% of their income on housing costs in Vancouver (City of Vancouver Housing

Canada s affordable housing policy has supported Canadians in homeownership since the 1950s
(Canadian Electronic Library [CEL] Canadian Housing and Renewal Association [CHRA], 2009). A
series of social housing programs, subsidies were introduced and funded by government agencies. The
responsibilities of the program was shared between distinct levels of government, federal, provincial,
and municipal (CEL CHRA, 2009). This collaboration was done at a nation wide level to promote
affordable housing among communities. According to CEL and CHRA (2009), the status of funds
towards affordable housing became uncertain as agreements between governments were set to expire
(p. 2). So the government agencies exhausted their resources while tackling the ever rising need for

Biography of Jacques Derrida
INTRODUCTION Distancing himself from those who came before him on the French intellectual
scene, Jacques Derrida became one of the most well known 20th century philosophers. His unique
approach and differing ideology from his predecessors aided in his rise as an icon of modern political
theory. (Encyclopedia) Derrida s works have influenced and inspired innovative practices of numerous
disciplines including art, literature, religious studies, linguistics, and of course philosophy. (Peteers) In
fact much of Derrida s work refers to the idea of purity in the domains of genetics, public policy,
philosophy, and religion. (Deutscher, 2) Derrida has taken Marxism and other well read philosophies
and broken them down as an attempt to reinterpret the meaning and importance of text. This paper will
give deep insight into the historical context of Derrida s life and studies. It will analyze his
philosophies, and gauge his reception among his peers as well as the general public while grasping the
legacy his work has continued to leave behind. Deridda was a prolific philosopher notorious for his
esoteric works that broke down concepts the western world had spent centuries building, who has
impacted all aspects of the future of political theory.
BACKGROUND Jacques Derrida was born on July 15, 1930 into a Sephardic Jewish family in El
Biar, Algeria, which at the time was a French Colony. Derrida was the third of five children. His older
brother Paul Moise died at less than three

The Pros And Cons Of Lean Manufacturing
Introduction: The idea behind the lean manufacturing is to work relentlessly on eliminating waste by
the end of the manufacturing process. As stated by Cirjaliu and Draghici, (2016), lean manufacturing
works as a collection of a number of tools, techniques and tips that proves effective for driving the
wastes generated during the manufacturing process. Lean manufacturing as it is also known as Toyota
Production System is one of the most basic and systematic form of waste elimination system.
Lean manufacturing has become one of the most acceptable forms of manufacturing technique among
the various manufacturers. The aim of the report is to analyze the advantages and limitation of the lean
manufacturing process. A detail analysis of the system will be done by referring to a number of
scientific journals based on the same topic.
Analysis of the production technique: Lean production is all about gaining more by doing less, such as
less time, limited fund and labor and also within a small space. Thus, five major areas that drive the
lean manufacturing process are its quality, cost, kind of delivery, safety and morale. By the means of
lean manufacturing, a number of advantages can be achieved. These advantages are:
 Reduction of waste by 80%
 Production cost is reduced by almost 50%
 Flexibility of the system increases
 Labor cost gets reduced by at least 50% (Bhamu Singh Sangwan, 2014)
 Capacity of the current facilities increases by 50% as well
 Reduction of

Understanding The Physical And Mental Language
This observation report shows the study of the reaction of people interacting with each other,
understanding the physical and mental language that each individual possesses. The observation was
conducted at the Fort Campbell, Kentucky Commissary, using Sociology to point out the positive and
negative norms. Identify every aspect of the norm that associates within each person finding the
reaction which many either do or do not expect. Chambliss stated that, norms are accepted social
behaviors and beliefs, or the common rules of a culture that governs the behavior of people belonging
to that culture (2015). Norms that are utilized daily are; mores and laws norm are used in daily life
within today s population including myself. Mores norm in simple terms is explained by, creating a
strong reaction of person that doesn t act appropriately in society. Laws norm creates control of the
behavior, but carries punishment of creating a legal norm once violated. With the military, law norm is
a given since obedience applies to all military services within the United States.

Understanding Behavior Patterns The norm that will be broken is by singing Christmas songs in aisles
where no one is expecting while talking to one another. Since it is near the holidays, interactions will

Paradise Lost By John Milton
Paradise Lost by John Milton
Paradise Lost by John Milton
John Milton divided the characters in his epic poem Paradise Lost into two sides, one side under God
representing good, and the other side under Satan representing evil and sin. Milton first introduced the
reader to the character Satan, the representative of all evil, and his allegiance of fallen angels that
aided in his revolt against God (Milton 35). Only later did Milton introduce the reader to all powerful
God, leader and creator of all mankind (John). This introduction of Satan first led the reader to believe
acts of sin were good, just like Eve felt in the Garden of Eden when she was enticed by Satan to eat
the fruit off of the Tree of Knowledge (Milton 255). The later introduction of The Almighty had the
readers change their feelings towards sin, as the ways of God were introduced to them and these ways
were shown to be the way to feel and believe. This levy of good vs. evil carried on throughout the
poem with the interaction of Satan and his fallen angels with God and his son in Heaven.
The common representation of sin and evil came from the lead character in the battle against God,
Satan. His name means enemy of God. He was a former high angel from Heaven named Lucifer,
meaning, light bearer (John). Satan became jealous in Heaven of God s son and formed an allegiance
of angels to battle against God, only for God to cast them out of Heaven into Hell (Milton 35). This
did not bother Satan at

Horatio Alger Myth Research Paper
The Horatio Alger myth is one of the oldest myths in the history of the United States of America.
Horatio Alger was a 19th century author who wrote short stories that all had the same universal theme:
a young man rising from a poor childhood to become a successful adult. Alger s stories were
enormously popular during his time and continue to be so today with the term Alger Myth become a
household saying. The popularity of Alger s stories is not surprising when one considers America has
consistently pushed the notion that anyone can achieve success if they work hard. Every child in
America is told at some point in their life that they can be anything they want to be. This myth is as
much a part of American culture as apple pie or baseball. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
[Logical transition needed here such as Yet, ] The poverty level in America is absurdly high and
produces a large group of children who grow up in an environment where everybody is struggling to
get by on a day to day basis. These children have no actual tangible evidence that somebody from
their neighborhood can achieve the type of success they dream of. The only hope they have comes
from the Alger Myth or other such fables that describe rags to riches stories. The Alger Myth is thus a
useful tool for the American upper class, in the sense that it gives the lower class a hope for their
future and in the process helps to prevent any attempt by the lower class to overthrow the current
economic system, which produces this huge disparity between the rich and poor. [Good. This
effectively politicizes and enlarges the issue.] This would almost be an acceptable practice if the Alger
Myth was true and everyone did have a chance to succeed regardless of race, sex, or affluence.
[Again, emphasize the contrast with a transition: But, ] The Alger Myth , like many popular American
myths, is in fact a fallacy as the facts simply show there is no evidence to support an equal playing
field for every

Death-Marked Love
A Star Crossed Review of Death Marked Love.
Today I have just finished watching the movie Romeo and Juliet, and I d like to give my personal
opinion of the movie. The movie has tons of love scenes and fights. The company Paramount Pictures
published the movie in 1968. The director was Franco Zeffirelli. The plot of Romeo and Juliet is
relatively simple. Romeo goes to a ball, Juliet is there, Romeo see Juliet, and he falls in love. The
same night, Juliet falls in love with Romeo. The movie takes place in Verona, Italy. The main
characters are Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers whose families have been feuding. The story is
about the two lovers trying to be together, but their families constantly get in the way.
For the most part, the actors did fairly well. I especially enjoyed the performance of Romeo, played by
Leonard Whiting. He brought Romeo to life but not in an overly exaggerated way. Juliet, played by
Olivia Hussey, also did a decent job. However, when it came to trying scenes, she did that same crying
voice and pose. It got repetitive towards the end and killed the moments that were supposed to be
heart wrenching. The Nurse and Priest did an excellent job, but I expected that from veteran actors. ...

Not because it s a bad production, it s actually fairly good for its age, but because I just don t have
anybody I know who would enjoy watching the movie. The MPAA rating for Romeo and Juliet is PG.
I don t agree with that rating myself. I think it should be PG 13, for a couple of reasons. One, there s
that mild nudity scene that we skipped over, the multiple deaths, and lastly two people commit suicide
over each other! That is not a great message to send to kids! With PG 13, at least kids in that age
bracket would know that committing suicide over a five day romance is a dumb idea. Also that you
don t actually have to be married and have a kid by the age of

In a nutshell, it is because the economic benefits are grossly overstated and are outweighed by the
wide ranging environmental, public health and weapons proliferation problems and risks. Uranium
accounted for 0.19 per cent of Australia s export revenue in 2011/12 (the last available figures)1. By
the most generous estimate, uranium accounts for 0.015% of all jobs in Australia.2 For Queensland,
there is the additional limitation that the state has around just 2% of Australia s uranium resources.
Clearly, the industry has no capacity to deliver significant economic or employment benefits. Instead
of acknowledging the extremely limited economic potential of uranium mining in Queensland, the
LNP state government, the Australian Uranium Association and the Queensland Resources Council
have continued a pattern of extravagant and unsubstantiated claims regarding jobs, revenue and
royalties. Enthusiasm is no substitute for evidence and limited sectoral self interest is not the same as
the public interest. The assumptions and analysis of those promoting the uranium sector in Queensland
needs to be challenged and reviewed.

Hicks And The Is Lm Curve
Dan Hill AAEC 8210 December 1st, 2015 Hicks and the IS LM Curve While J.R. Hicks received the
Nobel Prize for many of his accomplishments in both macroeconomic and microeconomic research,
his development of what he then called the SI LL model, but is now more famously known as the IS
LM model, was one of his greatest feats. The IS LM model was Hicks reduction of aggregate demand
analysis done by John Maynard Keynes in his book titled The General Theory of Employment,
Interest, and Money published in 1936. The model s purpose was to explain investor decisions
dependent on money availability and interest rates in the goods and services market and assets market.
The IS LM model now plays an integral role in both general macroeconomic understanding and policy
analysis. IS LM stands for investment savings and liquidity money, and can be represented graphically
by a downward sloping curve for IS and an upward sloping curve for LM. In the IS curve, anywhere
along the curve represents a point where interest rate and income satisfy that total spending equals the
economy s total output (real income). Total spending/demand is determined by adding together
consumer expenditure, investment, government expenditure, and net exports (investment being the
only endogenous variable among the four). In this equation, the assumptions are that; consumer
spending is increasing with more disposable income, investment is increasing as interest rates
increase, and exports are increasing with

The Pathogenesis Associated With Sle
Immune Mechanisms The pathogenesis associated with SLE is complex and attributed to various
factors. These factors include sex, the imbalance of hormones, and ones hypothalamus, pituitary, and
adrenal axes. Others have said that it is attributed to the cells in your body that are dying, over active
help of the T cells in the body, defective B cells, and the shifting of the T helper 1(Th1) to T helper 2
(Th2), which are responsible for the B cells causing them to produce these pathogenic antibodies that
cause SLE. (Cambridge, Teodorescu, et al. 2006.)
Roles of T cells and B cells The immune system is composed of many types of cells, such as T cells
and B cells, which are cells that defend your body from foreign substrates. When ... Show more

B cells, in particular, play a major role in SLE as then hyperactivity, caused by such cytokines as IL
10(discussed below) contribute to the pro inflammation of antibodies
IL 10 gene In Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, expression of the IL 10 gene located on chromosome 1
(1q31 q32) is often inhibited. As the gene name implies, the gene encodes the cytokine IL 10, which is
produced by inflammatory cells, such as monocytes and macrophages. (Yan, Bing, and Yi Liu. 2009).
When this gene is inhibited the patient will show the signs of SLE, which are discoid lesions, and
neurological disorder. When these symptoms begin to appear one can conclude that they have
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. The function of the IL 10 gene is to enhance B cell production and
the in tissue leading to the production of autoantibodies. This gene influences many other genes in the
body which are associated with inflammation.
Programmed cell death (PDCD1)
Another gene with altered expression in SLE patients is the Programmed Cell death (PDC1), which
encodes for the PD 1 Protein. The PDCD1 over expression has been observed to be in ethnic groups,
such as Mexicans and certain European populations from Sweden. This polymorphism affects the
transcription factors which contribute to the non tolerance and the hyperactivity of lymphocyte is a
major characteristic in SLE. Under normal expression Levels, the PD 1 protein helps to regulate T cell

Expansive Clay Soil
To err is human, to forgive divine. When it comes to homeowner mistakes that cause foundation
damage, at least the first half of that well known quote is true. Few however, will be in a forgiving
mood when dealing with the damage to one s house and foundation caused by a number of common
oversights.
If you have made some of the mistakes listed below, don t be too hard on yourself because unless you

Before getting to them, some background information on expansive clay soil is necessary.

Racism In To Kill A Mockingbird By Horton Foote
I know when I was a little I believed most of what I was told. I believe this could be said for most
people out there. To Kill a Mockingbird by Horton Foote has some similar things going for it. Jem
Finch a 10 year old boy and his 6 year old sister Scout (also referred to as Jean Louis) experience
situations where this is very relevant. The screenplay is set in Maycomb, Alabama in 1932. The town
is still fairly racist, this is really shown in a court case known as the Tom Robinson case. All in all the
Theme of To Kill a Mockingbird is do not believe everything you hear.
In the beginning of the screenplay Jem and Scout meet Dill (whose real name is Charles Baker Harris)
who is a 6 year old boy that seems to stretch the truth about his father. When the three of them first
meet Dill says that he does not have a father, but moments later he changes what he means saying My
daddy owns the L and N Railroad (Foote 10). If that does not seem a little questionable towards the
middle of the screenplay he changes what he says again. Dill says ... my daddy was a railroad man
until he got rich. Now he flies airplanes (Foote 47). The whole thing with him and his dad just seems
like it is exaggerated or made up after this point. Most might think that he makes this up because he
originally says that he does not know his father. This is very probable because after Dill says what his
dad, does he almost you could say fantasizes about his dad picking him up on a train or sweeping

Essay On Life Insurance
INSURANCE BUSINESS PRE NATIONALISATION
2.1.1 The Concept of Insurance The entire modern world process has to face numerous risks and
uncertainties. Thus in business, as in private life, there are dangers and risks of every kind. The
concept of risk may be explained as the possibility of unfavourable results following from any
occurrence. In a dynamic and free economy and life such risks are inevitable. The risk may mean that
there is a possibility of loss or damage. It may or may not happen. When an event is stated to be
possible, it has a possibility between zero and one, it is neither impossible not definite. The degree of
risk may or may not be measurable. To the ordinary man in the street „risk‟ means exposure to danger.
But at the same time in insurance practice risk is also used for peril or loss producing events. For
example, it is said that insurance covers the risks of fire, explosion, cyclone, flood etc. Here the risks
refer to the subject matter of insurance. Any risk contingent upon these may be insured against a
premium commensurate with the risk involved. Thus a collective bearing of risk is insurance.
Insurance, whether life or non life, provides people with reasonable degree of security and assurance
that they will be protected in the event of a calamity or failure of any sort.
According to Life Insurance Corporation of India, risk may be defined as, Risk is a condition where
there is a possibility of an adverse deviation from a desired outcome

Essay about Against Making Flag Burning Illegal
Flag Burning
There is a great travesty going on in America right now. Everyday, people are fighting to stop one of

The act of publicly burning an American flag is something that is deemed disgraceful by many
Americans, but it should not be outlawed.

The flag is a symbol of the United States, and what happens to the flag does not directly affect the
United States, therefore it should not be outlawed. The supporters who want to outlaw the act of
publicly burning a flag feel that it is demeaning to the United States. Although this may be true and
many Americans feel this way, our country was built on the understanding and ability of every person
to protest the actions of the government. Rep. Randy Cunningham, a supporter for the ban of flag
burning, said on the House floor To watch somebody burn the American flag represents a destruction
of [the United State s] values, of [the United State s] ideas and of [the United State s] thoughts. (Cong.
Rec. July 2000.) Although this claim is a very good one, I believe the better truth was stated during a
U.S. Supreme Court Case. In the case United States v. Eichman it was stated But the mere destruction
or disfigurement of a particular physical manifestation of the symbol, without more, does not diminish
or otherwise affect the symbol itself in any way (3). This statement shows one of the underlining
problems with the people who argue that flag burning should be outlawed. The flag is a symbol of this

How Does Charlie Brooker Use The Satire In Black Mirror
Black Mirror is a British television series created by Charlie Brooker about technology that is set in
the near future. Each episode is a stand alone science fiction drama. The show uses dark satire in
which technology creates a dystopia, eerily similar to what could happen in reality. The common
theme in a few of the episodes is how the government influences and controls the people. Season two,
episode two: White Bear. It begins with a woman, named Victoria, who wakes up with no memory, in
a house, alone. She leaves to get help, but finds that all the other people are hiding in their houses, but
when they see her, they come out to silently follow and record her on their phones. Then a group of
people in masks, called the hunters, try to kill ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People can casually project almost anything they want with minimal consequences. But in this
episode, there were actual consequences. But more people voted after the deaths were linked to the
hashtag. And it came back around at the end. The government had control by spying on the people
with the drones, and that was the reason the technology was compromised. This episode is successful
because it links government spying with social media. It shows how all technology is interconnected
and that there are many outcomes that may lead to unintended consequences. Black Mirror has been
largely successful since it has been out on Netflix. Before, it only aired in the UK, and had a small
following. It is heavily influenced by The Twilight Zone, with self contained stories that are both
science fiction set in a different time, but offer social commentary to today s problems. Because it hits
so close to home, Black Mirror has become very popular, even years after it first came out. Since
every episode is a stand alone, the creators can cover a wider range of topics without having to stick to
the same plot, just the common theme of technology. So there is an episode for

Fooled By Infatuation Summary
(Intro)Comic books have been around since the dawn of man. Mankind has been telling stories
without the use of technology, such as: typewriters, computers, or any paper material. There are cave
paintings around the world that date back thousands of years, which depict cavemen hunting animals
and depictions of animals within the caves. Women have also been included in the paintings not just
men since they also fed their families and hunted to keep them safe. In today s comic books, women
are represented as sexual objects, not as mature, strong, or as smart as men are depicted in the same
stories. Women appear in comics for the simple purpose of flaunting their bodies which boosts sales

For example, according to Dana Dutch from the collection of romance stories Romance without Tears,
Learning from the shortfalls and mistakes of a relationship is a salutary experience which will enable
women to do better the next time (9) In one of the short stories Fooled by Infatuation, for instance, a
girl loses her stability because of an obsession with another boy she finds she does not like. The
foolish or flamboyant acts committed by youngsters are a normal part of growing up. The notion is
that it does not matter if you are never caught; it is what you learn from the experience that counts. In
romance comics, the poor girls suffer and suffer; but in Dana Dutchs stories her female protagonist
never suffered, no matter the situation. In her stories, they never had to beg the boy s forgiveness,
either. Not all romance stories show women in daunting situations regarding a boy or trying to fool
around and fall in love. Most writers such as Dutch thought about how there is more to girls falling in
love and going crazy for a boy then going through the typical story of a girl going crazy for a boy and
willing to do anything to win his heart. But it still feels as though these stories became repetitive and
have no new material to show for it. This can influence young readers that falling in love comes with a
price: going crazy for the person you want to be

The Things A Brother Knows Analysis
The Things A Brother Knows is written by Dana Reinhardt. Life after a war can be tragic and nothing
but pain. For Levi s older brother Boaz, his return wasn t what everyone expected. The dangers of war
can traumatized and stunt the life of any man and cause problems that nobody but ourselves can solve.
Levi sets out on an adventure to help his brother return home and he isn t gonna let anything get in the
way. The reason why I believe this book stands out from others, is because the plots scheme is that out
of the ordinary. There is no other book out there that matches its unique qualities.
Fear is what drives most people to break, but to some it is what drives them to become the person they
want to be in life. The first reason why I enjoyed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reading the book gave me a rush that pushed me to keep reading. The book teaches of valuable
lessons about life and dedication. In the story, Levi could have given up halfway through his journey
because that seemed like the only option, but he pushed forward and never quit. Boaz made a promise
to one of his friends that he had met over in Iraq. He takes on a journey that he has spent weeks
preparing for. Levi joins in on this task and only does it because he wants to help out his brother.
Throughout the story, you watch Levi go through with life and mature when he needs to. He steps up
and faces all his challenges head on. Life is what happens to you while you re busy making other
plans. (Lennon. Reinhardt 6) I like the quote they used in the book because it really explains life in a
couple of words. It describes a process that could happen at the blink of an eye, or one that could take
time to occur. It shows the beauty of nature. Reinhardt did a good job at describing the little details
that orchestrate the plot of the story, and at the same time she kept it simple enough to keep you
reading. The theme of this book, I believe, is wanting to mature too quick. The story revolves around
wanting to fill shoes that have never been yours. Levi focuses so much on what everyone else is doing
that he forgets to enjoy himself and focus on his own

Notes On On Land And Water By Kyle Dean
Terrestrialization on Land or in Water
By Kyle Dean
Intro.
The movement to land by plants has been a point of great interest for many researchers. The
complexity of the situation is in the characterization of those traits that were most essential to the
viability on land, and whether those traits developed prior to terrestrialization or post terrestrialization.
This complexity stems from the long branch of phylogeny leading to terrestrialization having an
incomplete fossil record due to environmental changes throughout time. The gold standard hypothesis
on terrestrialization introduced by Bower is accepted in the scientific community as the explanation
for terrestrial plant diversification of plant orders and families. Bower s hypothesis articulates, that the
evolution of antithetic alternating life cycles was instrumental in adapting to the terrestrial habitat.
(Harholt et al., 2016) In other words the development of the free living sporophyte and gametophyte
was critical to a plants ability to live on land. This information if taken only to mean the
diversification of land plant orders and families is accepted by most without question, for the
alternating life cycle is imperative to suitability of land plants; however, if Bower intended for his
hypothesis to be inclusive of the primordial terrestrialization then his hypothesis has encountered
some criticism. Stebbins and Hill in 1980 conducted research that concluded with the premise that
unicellular charophytes invaded

Using a simple Zen meditation, you will learn the art of stillness. Zen is all about stillness. Zen monks
have been known to simply sit still and let the knowledge come through.
Preparing For The Simple
Usually sitting is done in the full lotus position, however this posture is quite difficult to learn unless
you have practice for quite a while.
So if you are not comfortable using the lotus position, you can also use the chair position as the
posture mentioned in the zen meditation with the back straight and the body slightly brought forward.

Keep doing this simple zen meditation every day for 20 minutes by simply sitting in your comfortable

and then starting to count.
Each alternate day start with the other side of your body. If today you have started with the left,
tomorrow start the meditation while focusing on the right hand and feeling your right side.
After one or two weeks, when you feel that you are counting automatically, without having to focus on
counting at all, stop counting. Now simply focus on your breathing in and out without counting.
Once you get used to this new technique as well, stop focusing on your breathing altogether. Simply
breath in and out, just the way you do it naturally, by your birthright. All you will do now is sit still in

Garage Door Sensors Research
How To Fix Your Garage Door Sensors And Make Simple Repairs
If your garage door isn t working, one cause could be the safety sensors near the bottom of the door.
One sensor sends a beam to the other one as a safety measure. If the beam is broken, it might mean a
person or a pet is under the door, so the door won t operate. The problem is the sensors could get dirty
or short out, and that keeps your door from working. Here s how to check and repair them.
Check The Indicator Lights
Locate the sensors by looking near the bottom of your garage door track. There is one on each side of
the door. Each one has a tiny LED light that indicates it is operational. The sensor that sends the beam
usually has a red light and the one that receives the beam has a green light. If they are working okay,
the lights should be shining steadily. If the light on one or both is blinking or not shining at all, it s a
signal something is wrong.

The Importance Of Cultural Identity
We all have unique identities that we develop within our cultures, but these identities are not fixed or

Tata Nano has invented a car that has a couple of strong competitive advantages. The most important

Status is an important aspect in Europe driving the cheapest car in the world might not be seen as a
good status symbol. Next to that, Tata Motors might know a lot about the Asian market. But the
European market is way different. Lack of market knowledge is a weakness by entering the market,
this could be fatal. Thereby a Tata Nano distribution channel still has to be developed in Europe which
will cost a lot of money and makes it hard to do business in the beginning.
Next to the businesswise weaknesses there are some practical weaknesses in the car too. The fact that
the Tata Nano does not have a modern facility like ABS, PS or AC for example. In addition the car has
less boot space than other regular brands. This makes it less attractive for tall people to buy such a car.
In general western people are taller than Asian people which might cause a problem. Next to this,
another practical problem is the fact that the car has no headlight levelers. Headlight levelers might be
seen as a luxury device, but these modern days all cars have it. When someone is used to this kind of
functions it can be a reason not to buy the car. Thereby the car is not really fit for hilly areas. It is
small and the engine is not powerful enough to drive up to steep hills. People living in Austria, Suisse
or areas of France and Spain will rather buy a four wheel drive car than a Tata Nano. Another practical
weakness is the Tata Nano s poor fraction control. For a lot of people outstanding

Spies Identity
Throughout Making History and Spies the struggle for identity is a theme and how the period can
influence the protagonist s selfhood. Making History explores Hugh O Neill s endeavour as he is
forced to choose between his allegiance to the Irish, his birthplace, and his loyalty to England. O Neill
is in the battle of Kinsale during the sixteenth century; similarly, in Spies, the protagonist Stephen is
within a country at war. In the nineteen forties, World War Two caused German Jews to escape the
Nazi regime, often to Britain. Whilst there, the Germans were given false English names to detract
attention from their true identity. This causes confusion for the protagonist of Spies as his name
Stephen Wheatley is false, and he is living within a country that he does not belong to. Friel s ... Show

Friel uses the characters of O Neill and Mabel as microcosms to portray the conflict of the two during

towards the end we see that he is no longer the man Friel presented him to be, he is torn between the
Gaelic civilisation and the British. For example he displays his divided identity and seeks recognition
from the other characters within the play of which country he should be loyal to. We can see this
through his utterance to Mabel in Act 2, Which hand should I grasp? . This suggests that he is not
assertive and the division in his identity is a prominent part of his life. In Spies the young protagonist
also looks for recognition, similar to O Neill when contemplating which country he must be loyal to.

You see we have connection with more than just people, but with animals of many sorts like monkeys.
For instance, of paragraph 1 of Monkey see, Monkey Do, Monkey Connect by Frans de Waal it says,
Yawn contagion reflects the power of unconscious synchrony, which is as deeply ingrained in us as in
many other animals. Synchrony may be expressed in the copying of small body movements, such as a
yawn, but also occurs on a larger scale, involving travel or movement. This illustrates how many
animals are bonded to some things people do like laugh or yawn. As a result, it is a connection that

Student Led Conferences
Student Led Conferences (SLC s); the controversial new strategy implemented at cross this year. It is
designed to be a three way conversation between a student, their guardian, and an advisor. The
purpose is to facilitate healthy conversations between the guardian and the student so that the student
can elaborate on their performance in a controlled setting. The advisor acts as a mediator who
translates the opposite views. For example, the advisor can help the parent understand that a certain
test can be redone and the grade will go up after that is taken. They can also help the student
understand that their grandma is only strict with grades so that their lives can be easier with a good
education. It is a chance for parents and students to get involved in the school and helps create a plan
to improve the student s performance. The method seemed like it would work beautifully, but the way
it s being executed causes some concerns. First off, the SLC s are conducted at the beginning of the
marking period, which is too early to determine any issues a student may have with a teacher. Most
teachers have not given out a test yet and some haven t even put grades in. So without any grades,

A lot of these slips are very lengthy and don t need to be written down. Four sheets are provided
during the flex periods: explanation on grades (good and bad), community service plans, after school
activities, questions about college plans, decision making skills and creating goals. A lot of these
forms students ignore or are unable to answer making the forms overwhelming and excessive. When I
went to my SLC, I didn t talk about the forms I filled out at all and my conference lasted for less than
5 minutes. A better method for this is to have the teacher ask the question in front of the parents so that
the students are encouraged to develop an achievable plan on the

Zoroastrianism Religion
The origins of Zoroastrianism derive from Persia (now known as Iran), around 3500 years ago. The
religion was founded by the prophet Zoroaster after he experienced visions from God. Before his
visions, Zoroaster disregarded the religion of the bronze age persians; a polytheistic religion with an
oppressive class structure that allowed Princes and Priests to rule over all citizens. Zoroaster was first
called to be a prophet at the age of 30 when he experienced a vision of God and his Amesha Spentas
(Holy Immortals). Like many religions, Zoroastrianism was not popular at first and other religions
opposed Zoroaster s beliefs. It was not until years later when Zoroaster traveled to the Kingdom of
Vishtaspa that Zoroastrianism was finally adopted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First and foremost, Zoroastrians are expected to pray whether that be at home or out in the open; they
are not required to go to a temple to pray. Between the age of seven and twelve, a young Zoroastrian
will take part in a Navjote; this ritual inducts the young child into the faith and they are given their
sudreh and kusti which they will wear for the rest of their life. Once a Zoroastrian comes of age they
generally have an arranged marriage though in modern times marriages by choice are not entirely
uncommon. There are various events that lead up to a wedding such as the exchange of silver coins
and gifts, lighting of lamps, and planting of mango trees. On the evening of the wedding, both parties
sign a contract (parents included). Once the contracts have been signed, there is a long period of
celebration and feast typically lasting 3 7 days. When the service is underway, female relatives hold a
white scarf over the bride and groom while two crystallized sugar cones are rubbed together to
symbolize the sweetening of their married life. After the service has concluded, the ends of the scarf
are sewn together by needle and thread to demonstrate the couple sharing the rest of their lives
together. The last ritual performed for a zoroastrian is the funeral. Zoroastrians firmly believe that
death is the act of Angra Mainyu and therefore to purify the body, one must be given to the Earth (the
earth is regarded as good and pure). As a result, Zoroastrians who have passed on are placed on towers
(Dokhma) and left to be eaten by birds and stripped of their worldly bodies in order to be sent to the
afterlife for judgment. The Zoroastrians traditions are similar to many other religions however, it is in
the way they are carried out that they

Cole Beasley Research Paper
Cole Beasley aka Cole World (as most Cowboys fans like to call him) is one of the much underrated
WR on offense. It s an understatement on how important he is to this offense. The Cowboys showed
how important he is by signing Beasley to a four year deal worth 13.6 million with seven million
guaranteed with four million signing bonus. Since DeMarco Murray left to go signed with that team in
Philadelphia there have been questions on who would the Cowboys would rely on those second and
fives, or third and fives. What people fail to realize about last season was how the Cowboys utilized
Cole Beasley on third down situations. Beasley is so electric with the ball in his hands that it s hard to
tackle him because nine times out of ten he gains

  • 2. Order and Chaos Order and chaos are related to and dependent on each other. The clear cut distinction between them is man made and an illusion. Society uses order to regulate all aspects of the world from nature to personal lives, while chaos allows for open mindedness and also provides an explanation for certain aspects of the world. This can be seen in science, theology, music, language, and imaginative play. Science is rational, logical, and orderly. It has the ability to break apart complex systems into simpler ones described by theories ad equations. This is seen in the description of the planets orbits, evolution, and Newton s laws. Scientists have a thirst for knowledge and seek understanding about the world around them. Their methods ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anthropology, fossils, and other material evidence provide proof of evolution by similarities between organisms of the past and present ,including the controversial belief that humans evolved from apes. All these discoveries discredit the belief that humans were created to posses dominion over the world, and all that was created has existed from the beginning. The five percent of fundamentalists that are radical and use violence and other unusual means to support their views have made fundamentalism seem extreme and crazy. They discriminate against other Christians, who do not have their same views, and deem them not real Christians. They are also completely intolerant of other religions, offering no salvation outside their faith. Throughout the ages these two groups have clashed as seen in the trial of Galileo. The common denominator in Galileo s trial ,and other controversies between the ideologies is each group s stubbornness and intolerance of other views. One view can not exist without the other ,and they are both impractical and incomplete. The joining of the two is essential for a human being and the world as a whole. This point is clearly illustrated in the Library of Babel where all was known ,yet chaos was rampant because no faith could exist. Music can sometimes sound random, chaotic, and spontaneous but all music has a certain structure and fundamental ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The housing crisis has plagued its residents, governments, organisations, and the community as a whole. The issues faced by the city of Vancouver is not about having enough houses to accommodate residents, but primarily around affordability. Around twenty percent of Canadian renters face a housing crisis, spending more than half their income on shelter costs (McMahon, 2015). In 2010, different groups such as lone parent households with children, couple parent households with children, senior led households, and singles living alone spent 50 99% of their income on housing costs in Vancouver (City of Vancouver Housing Characteristics ... The responsibilities of the program was shared between distinct levels of government, federal, provincial, and municipal (CEL CHRA, 2009). This collaboration was done at a nation wide level to promote affordable housing among communities. Biography of Jacques Derrida INTRODUCTION Distancing himself from those who came before him on the French intellectual scene, Jacques Derrida became one of the most well known 20th century philosophers. His unique approach and differing ideology from his predecessors aided in his rise as an icon of modern political theory. (Encyclopedia) Derrida s works have influenced and inspired innovative practices of numerous disciplines including art, literature, religious studies, linguistics, and of course philosophy. (Peteers) In fact much of Derrida s work refers to the idea of purity in the domains of genetics, public policy, philosophy, and religion. (Deutscher, 2) Derrida has taken Marxism and other well read philosophies and broken them down as an attempt to reinterpret the meaning and importance of text. This paper will give deep insight into the historical context of Derrida s life and studies. It will analyze his philosophies, and gauge his reception among his peers as well as the general public while grasping the legacy his work has continued to leave behind. Deridda was a prolific philosopher notorious for his esoteric works that broke down concepts the western world had spent centuries building, who has impacted all aspects of the future of political theory. As stated by Cirjaliu and Draghici, (2016), lean manufacturing works as a collection of a number of tools, techniques and tips that proves effective for driving the wastes generated during the manufacturing process. Lean manufacturing as it is also known as Toyota Production System is one of the most basic and systematic form of waste elimination system. Lean manufacturing has become one of the most acceptable forms of manufacturing technique among the various manufacturers. The aim of the report is to analyze the advantages and limitation of the lean manufacturing process. A detail analysis of the system will be done by referring to a number of scientific journals based on the same topic. Analysis of the production technique: Lean production is all about gaining more by doing less, such as less time, limited fund and labor and also within a small space. Thus, five major areas that drive the lean manufacturing process are its quality, cost, kind of delivery, safety and morale. By the means of lean manufacturing, a number of advantages can be achieved. These advantages are:  Reduction of waste by 80%  Production cost is reduced by almost 50%  Flexibility of the system increases  Labor cost gets reduced by at least 50% (Bhamu Singh Sangwan, 2014)  Capacity of the current facilities increases by 50% as well  Reduction of ... • 7. Paradise Lost By John Milton Paradise Lost by John Milton Paradise Lost by John Milton John Milton divided the characters in his epic poem Paradise Lost into two sides, one side under God representing good, and the other side under Satan representing evil and sin. Milton first introduced the reader to the character Satan, the representative of all evil, and his allegiance of fallen angels that aided in his revolt against God (Milton 35). Only later did Milton introduce the reader to all powerful God, leader and creator of all mankind (John). This introduction of Satan first led the reader to believe acts of sin were good, just like Eve felt in the Garden of Eden when she was enticed by Satan to eat the fruit off of the Tree of Knowledge (Milton 255). The later introduction of The Almighty had the readers change their feelings towards sin, as the ways of God were introduced to them and these ways were shown to be the way to feel and believe. This levy of good vs. evil carried on throughout the poem with the interaction of Satan and his fallen angels with God and his son in Heaven. The common representation of sin and evil came from the lead character in the battle against God, Satan. His name means enemy of God. He was a former high angel from Heaven named Lucifer, meaning, light bearer (John). Satan became jealous in Heaven of God s son and formed an allegiance of angels to battle against God, only for God to cast them out of Heaven into Hell (Milton 35). This did not bother Satan at ... • 8. Horatio Alger Myth Research Paper The Horatio Alger myth is one of the oldest myths in the history of the United States of America. Horatio Alger was a 19th century author who wrote short stories that all had the same universal theme: a young man rising from a poor childhood to become a successful adult. Alger s stories were enormously popular during his time and continue to be so today with the term Alger Myth become a household saying. The popularity of Alger s stories is not surprising when one considers America has consistently pushed the notion that anyone can achieve success if they work hard. Every child in America is told at some point in their life that they can be anything they want to be. This myth is as much a part of American culture as apple pie or baseball. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [Logical transition needed here such as Yet, ] The poverty level in America is absurdly high and produces a large group of children who grow up in an environment where everybody is struggling to get by on a day to day basis. These children have no actual tangible evidence that somebody from their neighborhood can achieve the type of success they dream of. The only hope they have comes from the Alger Myth or other such fables that describe rags to riches stories. The Alger Myth is thus a useful tool for the American upper class, in the sense that it gives the lower class a hope for their future and in the process helps to prevent any attempt by the lower class to overthrow the current economic system, which produces this huge disparity between the rich and poor. [Good. This effectively politicizes and enlarges the issue.] This would almost be an acceptable practice if the Alger Myth was true and everyone did have a chance to succeed regardless of race, sex, or affluence. The movie has tons of love scenes and fights. The company Paramount Pictures published the movie in 1968. The director was Franco Zeffirelli. The plot of Romeo and Juliet is relatively simple. Romeo goes to a ball, Juliet is there, Romeo see Juliet, and he falls in love. The same night, Juliet falls in love with Romeo. The movie takes place in Verona, Italy. The main characters are Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers whose families have been feuding. The story is about the two lovers trying to be together, but their families constantly get in the way. For the most part, the actors did fairly well. I especially enjoyed the performance of Romeo, played by Leonard Whiting. He brought Romeo to life but not in an overly exaggerated way. Juliet, played by Olivia Hussey, also did a decent job. However, when it came to trying scenes, she did that same crying voice and pose. It got repetitive towards the end and killed the moments that were supposed to be heart wrenching. The Nurse and Priest did an excellent job, but I expected that from veteran actors. ... One, there s that mild nudity scene that we skipped over, the multiple deaths, and lastly two people commit suicide over each other! That is not a great message to send to kids! With PG 13, at least kids in that age bracket would know that committing suicide over a five day romance is a dumb idea. By the most generous estimate, uranium accounts for 0.015% of all jobs in Australia.2 For Queensland, there is the additional limitation that the state has around just 2% of Australia s uranium resources. Clearly, the industry has no capacity to deliver significant economic or employment benefits. Instead of acknowledging the extremely limited economic potential of uranium mining in Queensland, the LNP state government, the Australian Uranium Association and the Queensland Resources Council have continued a pattern of extravagant and unsubstantiated claims regarding jobs, revenue and royalties. • 11. Hicks And The Is Lm Curve Dan Hill AAEC 8210 December 1st, 2015 Hicks and the IS LM Curve While J.R. Hicks received the Nobel Prize for many of his accomplishments in both macroeconomic and microeconomic research, his development of what he then called the SI LL model, but is now more famously known as the IS LM model, was one of his greatest feats. The IS LM model was Hicks reduction of aggregate demand analysis done by John Maynard Keynes in his book titled The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money published in 1936. The model s purpose was to explain investor decisions dependent on money availability and interest rates in the goods and services market and assets market. The IS LM model now plays an integral role in both general macroeconomic understanding and policy analysis. IS LM stands for investment savings and liquidity money, and can be represented graphically by a downward sloping curve for IS and an upward sloping curve for LM. In the IS curve, anywhere along the curve represents a point where interest rate and income satisfy that total spending equals the economy s total output (real income). Total spending/demand is determined by adding together consumer expenditure, investment, government expenditure, and net exports (investment being the only endogenous variable among the four). In this equation, the assumptions are that; consumer spending is increasing with more disposable income, investment is increasing as interest rates increase, and exports are increasing with ... As the gene name implies, the gene encodes the cytokine IL 10, which is produced by inflammatory cells, such as monocytes and macrophages. (Yan, Bing, and Yi Liu. 2009). When this gene is inhibited the patient will show the signs of SLE, which are discoid lesions, and neurological disorder. When these symptoms begin to appear one can conclude that they have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. The function of the IL 10 gene is to enhance B cell production and the in tissue leading to the production of autoantibodies. This gene influences many other genes in the body which are associated with inflammation. Programmed cell death (PDCD1) Another gene with altered expression in SLE patients is the Programmed Cell death (PDC1), which encodes for the PD 1 Protein. The PDCD1 over expression has been observed to be in ethnic groups, such as Mexicans and certain European populations from Sweden. • 14. Racism In To Kill A Mockingbird By Horton Foote I know when I was a little I believed most of what I was told. I believe this could be said for most people out there. To Kill a Mockingbird by Horton Foote has some similar things going for it. Jem Finch a 10 year old boy and his 6 year old sister Scout (also referred to as Jean Louis) experience situations where this is very relevant. The screenplay is set in Maycomb, Alabama in 1932. The town is still fairly racist, this is really shown in a court case known as the Tom Robinson case. All in all the Theme of To Kill a Mockingbird is do not believe everything you hear. In the beginning of the screenplay Jem and Scout meet Dill (whose real name is Charles Baker Harris) who is a 6 year old boy that seems to stretch the truth about his father. When the three of them first meet Dill says that he does not have a father, but moments later he changes what he means saying My daddy owns the L and N Railroad (Foote 10). If that does not seem a little questionable towards the middle of the screenplay he changes what he says again. Dill says ... my daddy was a railroad man until he got rich. Now he flies airplanes (Foote 47). The whole thing with him and his dad just seems like it is exaggerated or made up after this point. Most might think that he makes this up because he originally says that he does not know his father. This is very probable because after Dill says what his dad, does he almost you could say fantasizes about his dad picking him up on a train or sweeping down to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Essay On Life Insurance INSURANCE BUSINESS PRE NATIONALISATION 2.1.1 The Concept of Insurance The entire modern world process has to face numerous risks and uncertainties. Thus in business, as in private life, there are dangers and risks of every kind. The concept of risk may be explained as the possibility of unfavourable results following from any occurrence. In a dynamic and free economy and life such risks are inevitable. The risk may mean that there is a possibility of loss or damage. It may or may not happen. When an event is stated to be possible, it has a possibility between zero and one, it is neither impossible not definite. The degree of risk may or may not be measurable. To the ordinary man in the street „risk‟ means exposure to danger. But at the same time in insurance practice risk is also used for peril or loss producing events. For example, it is said that insurance covers the risks of fire, explosion, cyclone, flood etc. Here the risks refer to the subject matter of insurance. Any risk contingent upon these may be insured against a premium commensurate with the risk involved. Thus a collective bearing of risk is insurance. Insurance, whether life or non life, provides people with reasonable degree of security and assurance that they will be protected in the event of a calamity or failure of any sort. According to Life Insurance Corporation of India, risk may be defined as, Risk is a condition where there is a possibility of an adverse deviation from a desired outcome ... The act of publicly burning an American flag is something that is deemed disgraceful by many Americans, but it should not be outlawed. The flag is a symbol of the United States, and what happens to the flag does not directly affect the United States, therefore it should not be outlawed. The supporters who want to outlaw the act of publicly burning a flag feel that it is demeaning to the United States. Although this may be true and many Americans feel this way, our country was built on the understanding and ability of every person to protest the actions of the government. Rep. Randy Cunningham, a supporter for the ban of flag burning, said on the House floor To watch somebody burn the American flag represents a destruction of [the United State s] values, of [the United State s] ideas and of [the United State s] thoughts. (Cong. Rec. July 2000.) Although this claim is a very good one, I believe the better truth was stated during a U.S. Supreme Court Case. In the case United States v. Eichman it was stated But the mere destruction or disfigurement of a particular physical manifestation of the symbol, without more, does not diminish or otherwise affect the symbol itself in any way (3). This statement shows one of the underlining problems with the people who argue that flag burning should be outlawed. The flag is a symbol of this country, and in no way does burning the flag actually affect this country. Even the veterans of our wars feel that outlawing flag burning is something that should never be done. MSGT. (R) Marvin Virgil Stenhammar said, Any country that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This episode is successful because it links government spying with social media. It shows how all technology is interconnected and that there are many outcomes that may lead to unintended consequences. Black Mirror has been largely successful since it has been out on Netflix. Before, it only aired in the UK, and had a small following. It is heavily influenced by The Twilight Zone, with self contained stories that are both science fiction set in a different time, but offer social commentary to today s problems. Because it hits so close to home, Black Mirror has become very popular, even years after it first came out. Since every episode is a stand alone, the creators can cover a wider range of topics without having to stick to the same plot, just the common theme of technology. So there is an episode for ... Mankind has been telling stories without the use of technology, such as: typewriters, computers, or any paper material. There are cave paintings around the world that date back thousands of years, which depict cavemen hunting animals and depictions of animals within the caves. Women have also been included in the paintings not just men since they also fed their families and hunted to keep them safe. • 27. Notes On On Land And Water By Kyle Dean Terrestrialization on Land or in Water By Kyle Dean Intro. The movement to land by plants has been a point of great interest for many researchers. The complexity of the situation is in the characterization of those traits that were most essential to the viability on land, and whether those traits developed prior to terrestrialization or post terrestrialization. This complexity stems from the long branch of phylogeny leading to terrestrialization having an incomplete fossil record due to environmental changes throughout time. The gold standard hypothesis on terrestrialization introduced by Bower is accepted in the scientific community as the explanation for terrestrial plant diversification of plant orders and families. Bower s hypothesis articulates, that the evolution of antithetic alternating life cycles was instrumental in adapting to the terrestrial habitat. (Harholt et al., 2016) In other words the development of the free living sporophyte and gametophyte was critical to a plants ability to live on land. This information if taken only to mean the diversification of land plant orders and families is accepted by most without question, for the alternating life cycle is imperative to suitability of land plants; however, if Bower intended for his hypothesis to be inclusive of the primordial terrestrialization then his hypothesis has encountered some criticism. Zoroaster was first called to be a prophet at the age of 30 when he experienced a vision of God and his Amesha Spentas (Holy Immortals). After the service has concluded, the ends of the scarf are sewn together by needle and thread to demonstrate the couple sharing the rest of their lives together. The last ritual performed for a zoroastrian is the funeral. Zoroastrians firmly believe that death is the act of Angra Mainyu and therefore to purify the body, one must be given to the Earth (the earth is regarded as good and pure). As a result, Zoroastrians who have passed on are placed on towers (Dokhma) and left to be eaten by birds and stripped of their worldly bodies in order to be sent to the afterlife for judgment.
