Cultural Culture In Kuwait
Introduction
The term culture is one of those words that we use routinely, but what is it exactly? Basically, culture
is the multipart overall of a society which includes everything that gives a society an identity. Culture
may consist of customs, languages, and religion beliefs amid other characteristics that are ordinary to
people of a nation/region. What is predominantly interesting about cultures is that each culture, no
matter where it is located, shares at least five basic characteristics. However, every culture has its own
distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the others. One of such cultures is the Kuwait culture.
This culture awareness essay will attempt to emphasis on cultural aspects of the people of Kuwait
while drawing your attention to the social culture annalists of Kuwait nation/region s physical
geography, current and passed military conflicts and their impact on the society, weather, and civil
concern.
The Kuwaiti culture is dominant in Kuwait where the people originate. They were primary drawn to
the Kuwait Bay region because of the resources from the sea, and majority of the population still lives
within a short distance of the first coastal colonies. Kuwait exists in the middle east which borders the
Persian Gulf, sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Kuwait have a unique culture since the
country was never colonized. Kuwaitis therefore have been left to manage their affairs among
themselves as they see if and develop their unique

Southern Colonies Social Class
The Social Groups of the Southern Colonies
The Southern Colonies, complete with beautiful plantation houses, educated children, and indigo and
tobacco fields for as far as the eye can see. It sounds like a truly great and inviting place to settle in the
New World and for some, it was. However, it was not as glamorous for some as it was for others. It all
depended on a person s social class. There were three main social classes in the Southern Colonies.
The highest class were those who owned plantations, the second was white people who worked the
lands; however, were too poor to own their own slaves. Lastly, the lowest class was the slaves.
The highest class in the Southern Colonies were the plantation owners. These people were also known

Death Penalty Debate Essay
The controversial debate over the death penalty has been going on for a very long time and still has no
conclusive solution. In the United States that is, most of the rest of the civilized world has done away
with the death penalty a long time ago. Many people have different views on this issue. Although,
there is a consensus that heinous murders need to be severely punished, there is no consensus on the
choice of that punished. The debate over the proper punishment lies between the death penalty and life
in prison. Some of the issues that encompass the debate are the morality of the death penalty, the cost
of the death penalty as opposed the cost of life in prison, the deterrent effect of the death penalty,
family consideration of what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is definitely true that money should not be an issue when it comes to fighting crime and saving
people s lives. However, it is also true that it is necessary to logically and rationally choose the best
way to spend the available money for crime fighting. In the case of the death penalty, so much extra
money is spent in legal procedures and appeals that could be spent toward other more deterrent and
efficient ways to fighting crime, such as increased police forces, more funding for the war on guns,
and other crime fighting initiatives. In the economic sense, the death penalty is clearly not the smartest
and most efficient way to fight crime. One of the most important issues in the debate is the deterrent
effect of the death penalty. Deterrent effect, meaning that by having the death penalty as an available
form of punishment it will deter future murders from committing their crimes. So supposedly, by
instilling this fear of death a murderer will be forced to think twice before they kill. This is not the
case, as many studies have shown that the death penalty does not have a deterrent effect. For instance,
the homicide rates in states that do have the death penalty and those that don t are generally the same.
Furthermore, when states have established the death penalty they have not seen their homicide rates
fall (Barkan p. 498). A global statistic that disproves the deterrent effect of the death penalty is that the

The United States has a residential market of more than 300 million people notwithstanding a
potential global market of more than two billion English speakers. No other country has this favorable

Before examining the effects and influences of American popular culture on the world, I need to
disclose saying culture or mainstream culture is American. It is troublesome, best case scenario, to
assert that a specific gathering of people share similar estimations of life, encounters and practices.
The 300 million people that live in the United States originate from many diverse countries and all
have distinctive cultures, religions and dialects, so it is difficult to assume that these people are a piece
of a similar American popular culture. The issues make entertaining and audacious stories as well as
make the relatives help each other to tackle the issues. What we see is the solidarity between relatives
and the way that in the long run every issue winds up plainly settled. The purpose of Family Guy is
demonstrating that troubles are constantly unraveled in an American family and there is dependably a
solitary arrangement that the family thinks of. Consequently, people far and wide can see that
regardless of how hard and absurd the issue might be, there is dependably an approach to illuminate it.

The Ethical Imperative Of Recovery Oriented Practices
The aim of the assignment is to critique two research articles; Mental illness and wellbeing: the central
importance of positive psychology and recovery approached (Slade, 2010) and Preserving the Person:
The Ethical Imperative of Recovery Oriented Practices (Atterbury , 2014)and its impact on practice.
For both articles the dominant theme which runs through is recovery.
There is no exact meaning of recovery in mental health. Professional meaning of recovery
differentiate between clinical recovery, where there is no symptoms, and social recovery, where one
live on their own even if symptoms continue (Social Care Institute for Excellence 2007). Recovery is
the process of coming back to a normal state. Other meanings see the growth of people controlling
their own life and the taking of responsibility for one s own behaviour and well being as the basis of
recovery. (Anthony, 1993)
Objectives
The objectives of this essay are to critique the authors credentials, compare and critique the articles,
discuss amongst other things such as language, structure and style. Discuss my criticism about the
article, which one is better and why and the impact of the article on practice.

The Reform And Governmental Statistics On The United States
Since the passage of the ACA, a total of 14.1 million adults have acquired health insurance coverage,
however, a distinction must be made; the ACA was created to expand health insurance, not to better
health care (Office of The Assistant Secretary For Planning and Evaluation, 2015). Texas being the
number one state in all of the U.S. with more than 5 million Texans (19% of the population) uninsured
in 2014 (this was a decrease of 700,000 individuals in 2013) would be expected to hold great support
in order to lower the high rates of the uninsured (Walters, 2015). In order to understand the impact that
the ACA has had on the U.S., but especially in Texas, it is important to look at what state officials say
concerning the reform and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Medicaid is a system of inflexible mandates, one size fits all requirements, and wasteful, bureaucratic
inefficiencies. Expanding it as the PPACA provides would only exacerbate the failure of the current
system, and would threaten even Texas with financial ruin (Perry, 2012).
Perry s strong opposition to the ACA makes it questionable whether the reform is for the benefit of the
people or if it benefits the government monetarily. The current Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, stated
his thoughts of the ACA by stating,
The Supreme Court abandoned the Constitution to resuscitate a failing healthcare law. Today s action
underscores why it is now more important than ever to ensure we elect a President who will repeal
Obamacare and enact real healthcare reforms (Office of The Governor Greg Abbott, 2015). Senator
Ted Cruz also expresses his thoughts on Obamacare as being a manifest disaster (Jones, 2015). On a
live interview on the Road To The White House on C Span Senator Cruz states,
I think health care reform ought to expand competition, it ought to empower patients and it ought to
disempower government bureaucrats from getting in between us and our doctors. I think the best way
to do that, 3 concrete ideas. Our number one, allowing people to purchase health insurance across state

Essay on The Jaguar Smile
The Jaguar Smile: A Nicaraguan Journey written by Salman Rushdie, is a non fiction book that gives
the reader insight to the internal turmoil taking place in the nation of Nicaragua. Salman Rushdie is a
British Indian novelist who gained his fame for his fantastical novels about the post colonial
relationship between cultures of the East and West. Rushdie became interested in Nicaraguan affairs
when the Regan administration started its war against Nicaragua. I was myself the child of a
successful revolt against a great power, my consciousness the product of the triumph of the Indian
Revolution (p.4). Rushdie made his trip to Nicaragua in July of 1986. He came to know a wide range

He quoted Ortega as saying that Reagan was worse than Hitler . The economy of Nicaragua was
hugely dependent on imports, and US influence was of enormous importance. However, relations
between the two nations began to plummet as the Cold War heightened. The USSR had recently
funded a communications site on Nicaraguan soil to help them communicate with other socialist
nations. With a rising fear of the USSR and other socialist nations, the US immediately accused it of
being a spy base. Not shortly afterwards the US began to take action against Nicaragua by issuing an
economic blockade. Because the Nicaraguan economy relied so heavily on imports, this had a
profound effect and contributed to the collapse of the Nicaraguan economy. It was impossible to spend
even a day in Nicaragua without becoming aware of the huge and unrelenting pressure being exerted
on the country by the giant standing on the northern front (p.24). While the USSR and Cuba funded
the Nicaraguan army, the US financed the contras. The Contras were the various rebel groups that
opposed the FSLN. The Contras received both overt and covert military and financial support from the
US through the CIA. The goal in supporting the Contras was to establish a friendly government in
Nicaragua and to steer them away from socialist views. With the great imposing influence from the

The Most Important Aspect Of Communication
We ve been roommates for almost a whole semester now, and we haven t run into a single problem!
This is probably because we re both currently taking interpersonal communication classes, and try our
best to apply the lessons to our real life relationships. Although my class uses projects to challenge our
knowledge, I know your class takes tests, so I m going to help you review in this letter! In my opinion,
the most important aspect of communication is the way we manage different types of relationships. In
the following paragraphs, I ll help you review topics such as why various relationship types matter,
how we form them, and what distinguishes them from each other by using examples from television
shows we watch together. Although all relationships are social to some degree, the most obviously
social relationship to me is the one between friends. According to Roy Baumeister, we all have an
innate need to form and maintain interpersonal relationships, which is called the need to belong. To
fulfil this need, we seek out friendships in various social contexts to help us feel like we are part of a
community. For example, In the television show New Girl, Jess and Cece became friends in
elementary school because they were both shy and felt that we didn t belong to any certain group.
However, they wouldn t have become friends if we were not also attracted to one another. Although
attraction can be physical, it can also be social or task related. When people are attracted to each

Social Value And Identity
Social Value and Identity My discourse community is one of a kind, and special, because we are all so
close so we always know what s going on with each other. We also always have something to do every
day there is never a day where we would just sit around and be bored. We also are all athletes, so we
go to the gym and run basketball games and workout. My discourse community is important because
we keep each other on the right path and not let each other go down the wrong road. If one of us has a
problem we can help them handle it. It s also a place where we can tell each other things, and the
whole world won t know because we keep things between us. This is extremely important because you
always need someone to talk to you can t just keep everything to yourself. The type of people that
thrive in my discourse community are hustlers this is because we are always thinking of ways for us to
make money so you need to be able to come with ideas to contribute to our community. Self motivated
people thrive in our discourse community because you got to be willing to do things without being
asked to. Another type of person that thrives in this community is someone who doesn t get pushed
around, because at this time there is a lot of people mad with us for something that happened. So,
when we see them in public they always are trying to start a problem. When that happens, we can t
just let them push us around, because that would make us look weak so we got to be able to stand up

Benefit Of Listening To Music
Ever since I began high school, music has been an important part of my life. Every day, on the way to
and from school, I could be seen on the bus relaxing and listening to music. At first, I listened to music
because it seemed like the most convenient way for me to pass time and stay entertained on my ride.
However, as I got older and became more accustomed to my schedule, what I realized was that
listening to music every day had a larger effect on my mental health then I thought. I realized that for
me, listening to music had a meditative effect, and when I would not listen to my music, I would feel
more stressed out and anxious then when I did. Therefore, I was not one bit surprised when I learned
of numerous studies that have proven that listening to music every day is not only a leisure activity,
but has serious effects on the brain that anyone could benefit from. I was able to have a first hand
experience of benefiting from music as a meditative tool, and hope that other students are able to
realize that they should not just be listening to music for leisure, but should be making listening to
music a part of their daily schedule because of the health benefits it has. One benefit of listening to
music on a daily basis as a form of meditation is that music has been proven to reduce stress. This is
incredibly value for college students, as according to the American College Health Association

When demand elasticity for the same good is different in different countries, there is a possibility of
subsidized exporting of goods. There is one more possibility that there are some countries that are
historically above others and have a cost advantage of producing some goods, and they can offer
products at lower price than others. In such as a situation, countries will provide subsidies to industries
whose cost of production is high to enable them to obtain the benefit of scale economies. This will
pave ways for advanced countries to follow aggressive strategic trade. Sunanda Sen wrote, It was
generally recognized that the vagaries of history rather than resources determine what a country

In Kompang, rhythm is mainly characterized by the interlocking of different parts divided within the
Kompang ensemble. Interlocking is basically done with two or more Kompangs playing
simultaneously, with one part playing the Basic beat which is usually the downbeats; another part
playing the Rhythm beat which is usually the off beats; and an additional part(s) playing the Leading
beat which is usually characterized by triplets or a syncopated rhythm that creates a unique
interlocking texture specific to the Malay Kompang musical genre (Hahril, 2010). In addition,
instrumentation is a musical element that is relatively fixed in Kompang; there is usually a group of
Kompangs playing together, and occasionally, accompanying voice.

Essay on The Place of Scripture in Christian Faith
As part of revivals in Christian faith during 18th century onward three practices evolved into their
own interpretation on the place and authority of Scripture in the Christian faith. The first of these were
the Liberals who viewed themselves as the saviors of a defunct out of date Christianity (Bingham
149). Their founder, Friedrich Schleiermacher an 18th century pastor, did not view traditional,
authoritative doctrines, creeds and biblical texts as the preeminent sources in theology (150). Instead
the Liberal perspective of Christianity put more emphasis on the doctrines of sin and grace and less
attention on the holiness of the trinity (Kerr 213). Jesus was viewed as a historical figure that we can

The Neo Orthodoxical view on faith is that it is a step into the unknown, made on the basis of that
which is already known. Faith is neither totally rational nor totally irrational (Lane 270). Following
this is then the concept that knowing all of Christian history or knowledge of the Bible does not equal
faith (270). Those of the Neo Orthodox faith believe that the Bible is the word of God only in the
sense that it witnesses to the past event of God speaking and that God again speaks through it today
(275). Because God speaks throughout the Bible and is the living word it should be viewed as a whole
that spreads the message of Jesus Christ (Kantzer 19). The Neo Orthodox movement sought to enforce
the Bible as the eternal word of God and his only as the guidance for our walk in faith and a manual of
sorts to seek Him and reach heaven.
As each different theological movement evolved and became a form of Christian practice there
followed the good and the bad aspects of each. The Liberalist did well to become a part of society and
distance themselves from the strict and traditional practices of Christianity. Although with this new
adaption of the faith they lost part of the meaning of being a Christian. Liberalist placed more
emphasis on faith and with this they taught the love of God but denied his holy wrath against sin thus
ending with a sentimental concept of love (Lane 271). Because the element of feeling and only the

As the crowds separate I see the welcoming faces of my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bill. I run to give
them an embracing hug. My cousin, Levi, steps out from behind his dad and I notice his wide eyes
containing a sparkle as the excitement builds inside. My parents catch up with me and more greetings
are in order. We retreat to the golf cart, which most of the tourists use, along with bicycles, to get
around. After a short drive, we reach the house. It is a tall, white house with large windows facing the
water front. The character of this old house fills my imagination with stories of an old captain living
there. I am pleased to see the rest of my family playing croquet and socializing in the lawn. With the
awareness of our presence, they happily turn and wave.
After saying hello, my cousin and I decide to slip off to the personal beach of the bed and breakfast
that we will be staying at for the next four days. The wooden steps creak as we stomp down them.
They lead us into the special place hidden away in overgrown vines, which brush across me as I
charge toward the water. We spend hours in the cool water splashing, playing and catching up on all of
the excitement that we have missed in the last year. The cool water washes smoothly over my face and
I pinch the finely granulated sand between my toes. As I swim the seaweed reaches up from the
bottom to tickle my toes and feet.

away. The rain beat softly upon the shingles... (p. 396). The storm is passing, the threat is over The
storm is menacing, it rolls in somber...with sinister intention. Chopin allows us to see the storm build
up slowly, reaching its highpoint, and passing. The storm builds chaotically to its climax, Alcee and
Calixta are together. As the storm dies out and fades away everything is quiet again in terms of the
relationship. The reader can make the assumption that the marriages are unharmed, but it shows that
they aren t perfect. Once the storm has passed and all is normal, Alcee leaves and Calixta s family
returns. Bobinot and Bibi make themselves look presentable for Calixta, the over scrupulous wife
(page 397) after going through the heavy roads and wet fields the storm left behind. Calixta seemed to
have forgotten the encounter she had with Alcee moments before, and seemed to express nothing but
satisfaction at their safe return. (page 397) The family sat at the table and enjoyed themselves for the
remainder of the time, everything was forgotten and back to normal. Alcee the same night wrote to his

What Are The Sources Of The Witches In Macbeth
Shakespeare s sources for this tragedy are the accounts of king Macbeth of Scotland, Macduff, and
Duncan their origin lies in Holinshed s Chronicles (1587), a history of England, Scotland and Ireland.
The other sources that help Shakespeare put the play together, include British folktale, such
contemporary treatises on witchcraft as King James VI of Scotland s Daemonologie, Scandinavian
legends of the Norns, and ancient classical myths of the Fates: the Greek Moirai and the Roman
Parcae.
The Three Witches or Weird Sisters in Shakespeare s play Macbeth (1603 1607).
Were depictions of Holinshed s sisters creatures of the elderwood... nymphs or faries (Chronicles 268).
Nymphs are usually portrayed as goddesses of the forests; mountains, waters and they possess an
unlimited contract of youthful beauty, endued with knowledge of prophecies by their necromenticall
science. Other topical evidence, there is Matthew Gwinne s brief Latin pageant, Tres Sibyllae (Three
Sibyls), welcoming King James to St John s College, Oxford, on 27 August 1605, evidently drawing
upon chronicle accounts of Macbeth and Banquo meeting the three ... Show more content on

Process Of Digestion Of A Burger
The process of digestion...
A. Burger
To begin the process of digestion the burger must be chewed up, this is a form of mechanical
digestion. The saliva produced is used to break up foods into smaller pieces so it is made easier to
swallow, this is using chemical digestion. After being swallowed it travels down the esophagus, at the
end of the esophagus is a muscular ring which allows food to enter the stomach. After entering it
squeezes shut keeping fluid and food from flowing back up. Inside of the stomach, stomach muscles
churn and mix the burger where digestive acids and enzymes are created to help break the burger
down into a liquid or paste. Once broken down it leaves the stomach and enters the small intestine. As

Essay on Egyptian Art and Culture
Egyptian Art and Culture
Current scholarship generally acknowledges that art does not exist in a vacuum. Rather, art is an
expression of the culture which creates it, revealing common beliefs, aspirations, and feelings. Within
the vein of cultural art history the true nature of ancient Egypt has become the focus of much
questioning. Much has been said regarding this ancient civilization within the context of the continent
of
Africa. The focus has not been merely geographic although some scholars contend that the physical
location of Egypt has been all but overlooked. At the core of this controversy is the issue of ethnicity
and culture. What was the identity of the people who built and populated ancient Egypt?1

Shu and Tefnut, representing Space in its dual aspects, male and female, were of the first generation.
They in turn
engendered Geb and Nut earth and sky, who gave birth to Osiris,
Horus, Seth, Isis, and Nepthys and they gave birth to the multitudes of this world. 4
In another version, the creation was understood in its first state as metaphysical, attributed to Atum.
On the spectrum, creation progressed each step closer toward matter. Myth often relates the story of
Ptah, the divine blacksmith, who brought materialization to the entities created by Atum. And, to
Khnum, the divine potter, who modeled men and things from clay on his potter s wheel.5
It is within this framework that the Egyptians conceived of what it meant to be human. A distinction
was made between the aspects of a human being of that which was eternal and that which was subject
to cycles of death and rebirth. According to funerary texts, humans are composed of a mortal body,
called the kha, and three immortal elements known as the akh, ba, and ka. These have been translated
as the spirit, soul, and double. More current interpretation assigns a less specified role for each entity.
Regardless of the translation, an understanding of the concept of creation by the divine, imparting
multiple aspects to each being was necessary to the Egyptian use of art to represent themselves and
deities. The personification of the

Crafting of Because of Winn Dixie Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo is a tale about a girl
named Opal. She is new to town and encounters a dog at a grocery store that helps her along her new
journey. Throughout this book Opal gets to know everyone and eventually becomes friends with them.
The ending may not be a perfect one, however, it does have a good one. This book supports the
realistic fiction criteria. The author does a good job in portraying this book as having realistic
characters, scenery, and plot. I partially liked the way the author crafted the characters when making
the book, was they resemble real people. The author makes the characters come to ... Show more

When I had finished the book I felt I got to know the characters as another person. A Second thing I
liked about how the book was crafted was the scenery. The author made the scenery look like any
other small town. It has a library called the Herman W. Block Memorial Library, (DiCamillo 40). It
has a church, a trailer park, and a Gertrude s pet store, (DiCamillo 50), this is where Opal received her
first job. Every student including myself can picture these places in their heads easily. Some may have
not seen a trailer park before, but they can take what they saw on television and put it into pictures.
The scenery is realistic because most small town have all of these places and many students can relate
to this in some way or another. The last point that stood out to me about the crafting of this book was
the plot. The author used recurring plots. A plot that is mentioned in one part of the book but then
comes up in another part but gives a larger meaning then before. For instance, Otis tells Opal he has
has a dark past and was arrested but does not explain to her as to way he was arrested. Later on in the
book though, he tell Opal he was arrested because, I pushed down a police officer for not letting me
play my guitar out in public, (DiCamillo 131). I believe the plot is one of the important aspects of
making a book. It is where the story revolves around and how the events of a book

The Healing Power Of Music Music has survived throughout the course of human history because it
has always been such a huge part of the human life. Music allows us to feel joy, sadness and fear. It
can bring us pleasure, express what we cannot express in words. In fact, no matter what culture, race,
or ethnicity you will find music is always present and contains an important role in society. Not only
does music affect your mind but it effects our bodies as well. Music can aid in recalling memories,
affect our emotions and moods, and surprisingly enough, have various health benefits. This paper will
discuss how music can affect our mind, emotions, and our body but most importantly its healing
power. Music plays an important role in one s memory. We have two basics types of memory Which
are short and long term memory. Our brains seem to have been hard wired to connect music with long
term memory making it an essential tool in helping those with Alzheimer s disease and related
dementias. Alzheimer s disease is A progressive mental deterioration that can occur in middle or old
age, due to generalized degeneration of the brain. It is the most common cause of premature senility.

adopted new technology system that allows instant retrieval of medical information and an access to a

Prudential Reasoning Patient s Perspective. The infant (child to Kelly and her husband, Dan) is clearly
unable to act as a moral agent. The infant is only a few days old and obviously unable to make
decision making capabilities. Proxy s Perspective. Kelly and Dan are the primary moral agents and
have a crucial role in decision making for the infant. The parents are responsible for making decisions
for the good of the child s treatment, but decisions can be overridden. They are also responsible for
releasing, if they choose to, the infant s medical information. It is unknown if the parents would
approve for Jan (neighbor/friend/nurse at Memorial Hospital) to view the medical chart. Without the
parents signing a medical release form for another individual to view, it is morally unethical for others
to view. Only the health professionals responsible for the care and treatment of the infant can and
should access the chart. Jan s Perspective. Jan has been an oncology nurse for approximately five
years. Though she is new at Memorial Hospital, she is not new to patient privacy laws and HIPPA.
She may be curious and worried about her neighbor s infant, but knows she should not be viewing the
infant s chart. She is taking advantage and risking Sara s reputation by asking to view the chart. If Jan
believed it was acceptable to view any chart considering she is an employee of the hospital, she would

Nursing Constraints
Constraints are anything that limit or discourage certain movements at the same time they permit or
encourage other movements or shape the movement(s). 1 In light of that, when assessing the
constraints that may exist for this female patient there are three constraints that she will encounter:
individual constraints, environmental constraints, and task constraints. First, the individual constraints
exist within the patient herself (her own body). These constraints are related to her structure
(anatomical physiology, i.e. her height, weight, muscle mass, body size, etc.) and her function (her
behavior, attention, motivation). These constraints are all dependent on the patient herself and how she
is able to operate. In this case the patient has some stability and weakness issues of the ankle joint of
the involved limb. This will present a problem because she feels her ankle giving way when she plays
sports. This means her ankle muscles are weakened and unable to support her body weight while
running, jumping, and sharp agility movements when playing volleyball, making her prone to re
injury. If she re injures her ankle again she may face functional constraints in being sad or depressed

Some environmental constraints that she may have to overcome are sociocultural in that she is
competitive and wants to be the best player on the team and/or wants to be the best team amongst the
team s competition. Another constraint is the slick surface of the volleyball court that presents a fall
risk when running and jumping on the court. If the lighting is too bright or not bright enough, if the
crowd is too distracting, or if the weather is bad and causes a delay, all these will present as
environmental constraints for her when playing

Anti Aging Research Paper
Women age as their body cells die and when new healthy cell generation is hindered simultaneously.
Premature aging can result from inadequate nutrition caused by years of poor dietary habits. Why?
Because our bodies need certain amounts of vitamins to produce healthy cells and repair damaged
cells. For many women, healthy cells can promote anti aging more than anything else
Free Radicals: Enemies to Your Anti Aging Efforts
When your diet lacks the vitamins needed for healthy cell rejuvenation, it will produce high amounts
of free radicals, or highly reactive oxygen molecules. Free radicals will attack your healthy cells, thus,

A Perfect Day For Bananafish Literary Analysis
Typically, the ending of a book can be quite predicable since authors tend to be very straight forward
onto exactly is what is going on in the characters minds. On the other hand, author J.D. Salinger
decides to end his short story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish, in a shockingly and unexpected manner.
The main character, Seymour Glass, and his wife Muriel, are vacationing at a resort in Florida. In the
end of the story Seymour chooses to end his life. Although, his choice to commit suicide appears to be
a mystery his comments, behavior, and interactions towards others throughout the story present
enough evidence that Seymour was mentally unstable. Seymour s mental state leads him to believe
suicide was his last option. Seymours pychological ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This happens immediately after he is in the elevator with a random woman and defensively remarks to
her, I see you re looking at my feet (9). The woman denies Seymour s accusation and asked the car
operator to let her out. Feet symbolize basic humanity; Seymour feels unaccepted by humanity since
the woman denied staring. This leads Seymour to feel alienated by society. This incident makes it
clear that Seymour is mentally unstable, and that his following actions are only happening because of
his distressed and disturbed state of mind. Once Seymour gets out of the elevator, he enters his room
and went over and sat down on the unoccupied twin bed, looked at the girl, aimed the pistol, and fired
a bullet through his right temple (9). After reading the disheartening description of Seymour s suicide,
the fact that he carried a pistol in his luggage shows death roamed his mind, he planned this action and
feels no regret. His crime against himself shows how helpless and ill he is. Seymour is no longer the
man he once may have been, his disconnection with society affected his mental state to the point it
eventually killed

Sociological Lense
Sociology is the research and analysis of the human society; meaning sociologist examine why we
behave the way we behave, what affects our behavior, and if ordinary things are more complex than
they seem. When developing a sociological perspective it makes the familiar strange (Conley, 3).
When someone is trying to think as a sociologist it is encouraged to question aspects in your life that
you thought were normal, which conveniently can make you feel unsure about what lifestyle you are
comfortable living in. A sociological perspective is gained when you learn to think through a
sociological lense that challenges your mind to new levels of thought (Godwin, Lecture). When in

Was I being selfish to? Did I not want another animal to be put down in the pound? Was I influenced
by my friends who had dogs? Questioning your views on details in familiar everyday life can cause
you to feel uncomfortable or like a fish out of water (Conley, 6). Feeling the uncomfortable and unsure
state while being outside of your normal element means you are in sync with your sociological
imagination. Sociological imagination can be defined as the ability to see the connections between our
personal experiences and the larger forces of history (Conley, 4), meaning you can see how your past
decisions have shaped your life into the one you are currently living. An example would be, children.
They are raised to the standards of their guardian and are taught what is right and wrong and how to
live to the guardians standards as they grow up. Children now have a personality that is shaped by the
guardians that can impact what type of people they will grow up to be. Some kids can be kind and
outgoing while others can be abusive or even shy. When the children are older and more mature they
may look back on their childhood life and realize certain life experiences has shaped them into the

Salvador Dali and Science Essay
Within the realm of Surrealism, more specifically the surrealist group, they contain works that are
overly subjective and involve definite notions to scientific observation of nature, as well as the
interpretations of dreams. Encapsulating the former ideas of Albert Einstein, there is a close
resemblance to theories that are at the very base of quantum mechanics. Upon further inspection,
Salvador Dali s artistic imagery and methodology, as well as André Breton s, could be seen as
expressions of lucid subconsciousness. For example, André Breton emphasized the necessity
understanding physics as a surrealist, in order to interpret or distort reality . Within Breton s Break of

Dali hides this fact by stating that an individual s consciousness to be more important than the reality
of external time or experiences.
Surrealism would be the perfect language to describe the real world discovered by Einstein. This can
be confirmed upon further inspection, as Dali goes on to say in The Sanitary Goat that: Physics in this
case is the kind that once can believe in that one can believe or interpret, even when it forms part of
the delirium; the physics which must create with new geometry of thought will be precisely...the
delirium of paranoiac interpretation . Though his association of relativity and paranoia here is a highly
subjective suggestion. In the late 1930 s Dali conceptualizes a method he called critical paranoia .
Unbeknownst at the time, this methodology would eventually lead to his expulsion from the surrealist
group. Dali described critical paranoia as a spontaneous method of irrational knowledge based on
systematic objectification and fantasizing interpretations. The goals was to allow his viewers to
understand his works as delusional, but be set in a somewhat agreeable clarity that made them seem
realistic; at the same time place them in his delirium mind state or a, systematic confusion and
contribution to the complete discrediting of the world of reality.
Back in 1986, Henri Bergson theorized the subject of dual time: objective time, which is determinate

  • 2. Cultural Culture In Kuwait Introduction The term culture is one of those words that we use routinely, but what is it exactly? Basically, culture is the multipart overall of a society which includes everything that gives a society an identity. Culture may consist of customs, languages, and religion beliefs amid other characteristics that are ordinary to people of a nation/region. What is predominantly interesting about cultures is that each culture, no matter where it is located, shares at least five basic characteristics. However, every culture has its own distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the others. One of such cultures is the Kuwait culture. This culture awareness essay will attempt to emphasis on cultural aspects of the people of Kuwait while drawing your attention to the social culture annalists of Kuwait nation/region s physical geography, current and passed military conflicts and their impact on the society, weather, and civil concern. The Kuwaiti culture is dominant in Kuwait where the people originate. They were primary drawn to the Kuwait Bay region because of the resources from the sea, and majority of the population still lives within a short distance of the first coastal colonies. Kuwait exists in the middle east which borders the Persian Gulf, sandwiched between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Kuwait have a unique culture since the country was never colonized. Kuwaitis therefore have been left to manage their affairs among themselves as they see if and develop their unique ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It sounds like a truly great and inviting place to settle in the New World and for some, it was. However, it was not as glamorous for some as it was for others. It all depended on a person s social class. There were three main social classes in the Southern Colonies. The highest class were those who owned plantations, the second was white people who worked the lands; however, were too poor to own their own slaves. Lastly, the lowest class was the slaves. The highest class in the Southern Colonies were the plantation owners. These people were also known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Death Penalty Debate Essay The controversial debate over the death penalty has been going on for a very long time and still has no conclusive solution. In the United States that is, most of the rest of the civilized world has done away with the death penalty a long time ago. Many people have different views on this issue. Although, there is a consensus that heinous murders need to be severely punished, there is no consensus on the choice of that punished. The debate over the proper punishment lies between the death penalty and life in prison. Some of the issues that encompass the debate are the morality of the death penalty, the cost of the death penalty as opposed the cost of life in prison, the deterrent effect of the death penalty, family consideration of what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is definitely true that money should not be an issue when it comes to fighting crime and saving people s lives. However, it is also true that it is necessary to logically and rationally choose the best way to spend the available money for crime fighting. In the case of the death penalty, so much extra money is spent in legal procedures and appeals that could be spent toward other more deterrent and efficient ways to fighting crime, such as increased police forces, more funding for the war on guns, and other crime fighting initiatives. In the economic sense, the death penalty is clearly not the smartest and most efficient way to fight crime. One of the most important issues in the debate is the deterrent effect of the death penalty. Deterrent effect, meaning that by having the death penalty as an available form of punishment it will deter future murders from committing their crimes. So supposedly, by instilling this fear of death a murderer will be forced to think twice before they kill. This is not the case, as many studies have shown that the death penalty does not have a deterrent effect. For instance, the homicide rates in states that do have the death penalty and those that don t are generally the same. Furthermore, when states have established the death penalty they have not seen their homicide rates fall (Barkan p. 498). A global statistic that disproves the deterrent effect of the death penalty is that the United States, which in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The United States has a residential market of more than 300 million people notwithstanding a potential global market of more than two billion English speakers. No other country has this favorable position in the two numbers and language. Before examining the effects and influences of American popular culture on the world, I need to disclose saying culture or mainstream culture is American. It is troublesome, best case scenario, to assert that a specific gathering of people share similar estimations of life, encounters and practices. The 300 million people that live in the United States originate from many diverse countries and all have distinctive cultures, religions and dialects, so it is difficult to assume that these people are a piece of a similar American popular culture. What we see is the solidarity between relatives and the way that in the long run every issue winds up plainly settled. The purpose of Family Guy is demonstrating that troubles are constantly unraveled in an American family and there is dependably a solitary arrangement that the family thinks of. Consequently, people far and wide can see that regardless of how hard and absurd the issue might be, there is dependably an approach to illuminate it. • 6. The Ethical Imperative Of Recovery Oriented Practices The aim of the assignment is to critique two research articles; Mental illness and wellbeing: the central importance of positive psychology and recovery approached (Slade, 2010) and Preserving the Person: The Ethical Imperative of Recovery Oriented Practices (Atterbury , 2014)and its impact on practice. For both articles the dominant theme which runs through is recovery. There is no exact meaning of recovery in mental health. Professional meaning of recovery differentiate between clinical recovery, where there is no symptoms, and social recovery, where one live on their own even if symptoms continue (Social Care Institute for Excellence 2007). • 7. The Reform And Governmental Statistics On The United States Since the passage of the ACA, a total of 14.1 million adults have acquired health insurance coverage, however, a distinction must be made; the ACA was created to expand health insurance, not to better health care (Office of The Assistant Secretary For Planning and Evaluation, 2015). Texas being the number one state in all of the U.S. with more than 5 million Texans (19% of the population) uninsured in 2014 (this was a decrease of 700,000 individuals in 2013) would be expected to hold great support in order to lower the high rates of the uninsured (Walters, 2015). In order to understand the impact that the ACA has had on the U.S., but especially in Texas, it is important to look at what state officials say concerning the reform and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Medicaid is a system of inflexible mandates, one size fits all requirements, and wasteful, bureaucratic inefficiencies. Expanding it as the PPACA provides would only exacerbate the failure of the current system, and would threaten even Texas with financial ruin (Perry, 2012). Perry s strong opposition to the ACA makes it questionable whether the reform is for the benefit of the people or if it benefits the government monetarily. The current Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, stated his thoughts of the ACA by stating, The Supreme Court abandoned the Constitution to resuscitate a failing healthcare law. Today s action underscores why it is now more important than ever to ensure we elect a President who will repeal Obamacare and enact real healthcare reforms (Office of The Governor Greg Abbott, 2015). Senator Ted Cruz also expresses his thoughts on Obamacare as being a manifest disaster (Jones, 2015). On a live interview on the Road To The White House on C Span Senator Cruz states, I think health care reform ought to expand competition, it ought to empower patients and it ought to disempower government bureaucrats from getting in between us and our doctors. • 8. Essay on The Jaguar Smile The Jaguar Smile: A Nicaraguan Journey written by Salman Rushdie, is a non fiction book that gives the reader insight to the internal turmoil taking place in the nation of Nicaragua. Salman Rushdie is a British Indian novelist who gained his fame for his fantastical novels about the post colonial relationship between cultures of the East and West. Rushdie became interested in Nicaraguan affairs when the Regan administration started its war against Nicaragua. I was myself the child of a successful revolt against a great power, my consciousness the product of the triumph of the Indian Revolution (p.4). Rushdie made his trip to Nicaragua in July of 1986. The economy of Nicaragua was hugely dependent on imports, and US influence was of enormous importance. However, relations between the two nations began to plummet as the Cold War heightened. The USSR had recently funded a communications site on Nicaraguan soil to help them communicate with other socialist nations. With a rising fear of the USSR and other socialist nations, the US immediately accused it of being a spy base. Not shortly afterwards the US began to take action against Nicaragua by issuing an economic blockade. Because the Nicaraguan economy relied so heavily on imports, this had a profound effect and contributed to the collapse of the Nicaraguan economy. It was impossible to spend even a day in Nicaragua without becoming aware of the huge and unrelenting pressure being exerted on the country by the giant standing on the northern front (p.24). While the USSR and Cuba funded the Nicaraguan army, the US financed the contras. The Contras were the various rebel groups that opposed the FSLN. The Contras received both overt and covert military and financial support from the US through the CIA. The goal in supporting the Contras was to establish a friendly government in Nicaragua and to steer them away from socialist views. • 9. The Most Important Aspect Of Communication We ve been roommates for almost a whole semester now, and we haven t run into a single problem! This is probably because we re both currently taking interpersonal communication classes, and try our best to apply the lessons to our real life relationships. Although my class uses projects to challenge our knowledge, I know your class takes tests, so I m going to help you review in this letter! In my opinion, the most important aspect of communication is the way we manage different types of relationships. In the following paragraphs, I ll help you review topics such as why various relationship types matter, how we form them, and what distinguishes them from each other by using examples from television shows we watch together. Although all relationships are social to some degree, the most obviously social relationship to me is the one between friends. According to Roy Baumeister, we all have an innate need to form and maintain interpersonal relationships, which is called the need to belong. To fulfil this need, we seek out friendships in various social contexts to help us feel like we are part of a community. For example, In the television show New Girl, Jess and Cece became friends in elementary school because they were both shy and felt that we didn t belong to any certain group. However, they wouldn t have become friends if we were not also attracted to one another. Although attraction can be physical, it can also be social or task related. • 10. Social Value And Identity Social Value and Identity My discourse community is one of a kind, and special, because we are all so close so we always know what s going on with each other. We also always have something to do every day there is never a day where we would just sit around and be bored. We also are all athletes, so we go to the gym and run basketball games and workout. My discourse community is important because we keep each other on the right path and not let each other go down the wrong road. If one of us has a problem we can help them handle it. It s also a place where we can tell each other things, and the whole world won t know because we keep things between us. This is extremely important because you always need someone to talk to you can t just keep everything to yourself. The type of people that thrive in my discourse community are hustlers this is because we are always thinking of ways for us to make money so you need to be able to come with ideas to contribute to our community. Self motivated people thrive in our discourse community because you got to be willing to do things without being asked to. Another type of person that thrives in this community is someone who doesn t get pushed around, because at this time there is a lot of people mad with us for something that happened. So, when we see them in public they always are trying to start a problem. When that happens, we can t just let them push us around, because that would make us look weak so we got to be able to stand up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Scolopocryptops Sexspinosus Essay Does this species of centipede, Scolopocryptops sexspinous, extract water primarily from prey items or do they get their water intake from a source of groundwater? We hypothesis that Scolopocryptops sexspinosus absorbs much of its water content through direct contact with a source of ground or rain water, therefore there will be similarities between the delta values of O18 and H2 (Deuterium) of the centipede and the nearby body of water (creek). Every day, on the way to and from school, I could be seen on the bus relaxing and listening to music. At first, I listened to music because it seemed like the most convenient way for me to pass time and stay entertained on my ride. However, as I got older and became more accustomed to my schedule, what I realized was that listening to music every day had a larger effect on my mental health then I thought. I realized that for me, listening to music had a meditative effect, and when I would not listen to my music, I would feel more stressed out and anxious then when I did. Therefore, I was not one bit surprised when I learned of numerous studies that have proven that listening to music every day is not only a leisure activity, but has serious effects on the brain that anyone could benefit from. I was able to have a first hand experience of benefiting from music as a meditative tool, and hope that other students are able to realize that they should not just be listening to music for leisure, but should be making listening to music a part of their daily schedule because of the health benefits it has. One benefit of listening to music on a daily basis as a form of meditation is that music has been proven to reduce stress. Essay on The Place of Scripture in Christian Faith As part of revivals in Christian faith during 18th century onward three practices evolved into their own interpretation on the place and authority of Scripture in the Christian faith. The first of these were the Liberals who viewed themselves as the saviors of a defunct out of date Christianity (Bingham 149). Their founder, Friedrich Schleiermacher an 18th century pastor, did not view traditional, authoritative doctrines, creeds and biblical texts as the preeminent sources in theology (150). Instead the Liberal perspective of Christianity put more emphasis on the doctrines of sin and grace and less attention on the holiness of the trinity (Kerr 213). The Neo Orthodoxical view on faith is that it is a step into the unknown, made on the basis of that which is already known. Faith is neither totally rational nor totally irrational (Lane 270). Following this is then the concept that knowing all of Christian history or knowledge of the Bible does not equal faith (270). Those of the Neo Orthodox faith believe that the Bible is the word of God only in the sense that it witnesses to the past event of God speaking and that God again speaks through it today (275). Because God speaks throughout the Bible and is the living word it should be viewed as a whole that spreads the message of Jesus Christ (Kantzer 19). The Neo Orthodox movement sought to enforce the Bible as the eternal word of God and his only as the guidance for our walk in faith and a manual of sorts to seek Him and reach heaven. As each different theological movement evolved and became a form of Christian practice there followed the good and the bad aspects of each. The Liberalist did well to become a part of society and distance themselves from the strict and traditional practices of Christianity. Although with this new adaption of the faith they lost part of the meaning of being a Christian. Liberalist placed more emphasis on faith and with this they taught the love of God but denied his holy wrath against sin thus ending with a sentimental concept of love (Lane 271). Nursing Constraints Constraints are anything that limit or discourage certain movements at the same time they permit or encourage other movements or shape the movement(s). 1 In light of that, when assessing the constraints that may exist for this female patient there are three constraints that she will encounter: individual constraints, environmental constraints, and task constraints. First, the individual constraints exist within the patient herself (her own body). These constraints are related to her structure (anatomical physiology, i.e. her height, weight, muscle mass, body size, etc.) and her function (her behavior, attention, motivation). These constraints are all dependent on the patient herself and how she is able to operate. In this case the patient has some stability and weakness issues of the ankle joint of the involved limb. This leads Seymour to feel alienated by society. This incident makes it clear that Seymour is mentally unstable, and that his following actions are only happening because of his distressed and disturbed state of mind. Once Seymour gets out of the elevator, he enters his room and went over and sat down on the unoccupied twin bed, looked at the girl, aimed the pistol, and fired a bullet through his right temple (9). When developing a sociological perspective it makes the familiar strange (Conley, 3). When someone is trying to think as a sociologist it is encouraged to question aspects in your life that you thought were normal, which conveniently can make you feel unsure about what lifestyle you are comfortable living in. Surrealism would be the perfect language to describe the real world discovered by Einstein. This can be confirmed upon further inspection, as Dali goes on to say in The Sanitary Goat that: Physics in this case is the kind that once can believe in that one can believe or interpret, even when it forms part of the delirium; the physics which must create with new geometry of thought will be precisely...the delirium of paranoiac interpretation . Though his association of relativity and paranoia here is a highly subjective suggestion. In the late 1930 s Dali conceptualizes a method he called critical paranoia . Unbeknownst at the time, this methodology would eventually lead to his expulsion from the surrealist group. Dali described critical paranoia as a spontaneous method of irrational knowledge based on systematic objectification and fantasizing interpretations. The goals was to allow his viewers to understand his works as delusional, but be set in a somewhat agreeable clarity that made them seem realistic; at the same time place them in his delirium mind state or a, systematic confusion and contribution to the complete discrediting of the world of reality. Back in 1986, Henri Bergson theorized the subject of dual time: objective time, which is determinate and measurable and subjective time formed on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
