Analysis of Common Foods
Nutter Butter Niacin Niacin is found in its natural form in fish, peanuts, yeast, and grains. In the
milling process of grains, it is usually removed. The government s action of trying to reduce niacin
deficiency has led to the fortification of niacin in food. Fortification is an attempt to replenish the
niacin lost in food processing. Niacin helps the energy from food reach the cells in the body. It s
important to the health of the live and production of hormones. Partially Hydrogenated cottonseed oil
Partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil is oil that has been pressed from the kernel of the cotton seed.
The oil then goes through the process of adding more hydrogen to the oil. Adding more hydrogen
makes the oil have a higher boiling point and also helps to increase the shelf life of the oil. It is used
for mayonnaise, salad dressing, shortening, and margarine for its neutral flavor and flavor stability.
The oil is very high in saturated fat. Soy lecithin Soy lecithin is a natural stabilizer for emulsifying fats
in processed foods. It is known to create a creamy texture in wet and dry blends and in dressings by
solidifying the margarine or fat in the food. Lecithin is a group of yellow brown fatty acids that come
from plant and animals sources, which contains many important nutrients. Its fat properties are why it
is used in various processed foods. Vanillin Vanillin is a natural part of vanilla and is the major

WTO GAMMA Round Malaysia s Trade Agreements
Malaysia is one of the fastest growing and most open economies of our decade (World Bank 2017). Its
geographical location plays a large role in this. Malaysia neighbors Singapore, Thailand, and borders
the Gulf of Thailand and the Malacca Straight. The east and west sides of the country are completely
exposed to bodies of water and near the global trade route which enhances the country s accessibility
and facilitates development and foreign trade. Malaysia s GDP is 296.4 billion USD (2016 WB) and is
expected, by the OECD to grow at 4.2% in 2017.

Skilled workers are managers, professionals, and technicians and associate professionals. The
production of integrated circuits in Malaysia demands semi skilled workers, reinforcing that labor is
Malaysia s abundant factor of production resulting the country s comparative advantage in electronic
integrated systems.
EVIDENCE:
According to the H O model countries export products that use their abundant and cheap factors of
production and import goods that use the countries scarce factors. In the case of Malaysia, it is
electronic integrated circuits. As stated before, it amounts to 40% of the country s total exports.
Although Malaysia s comparative advantage is in manufacturing electronic goods, its productivity is
decreasing. Malaysia s comparative advantage good does not fully align with the Heckscher Ohlin
(HO) Model which suggests that trade occurs between countries that have different resources where
one is labor abundant and the other capital abundant. In the case of Malaysia and its three major trade
partners who are capital abundant exports the same good that they import from Malaysia which is
labor abundant..
Although manufactured goods are where the comparative advantage lies, the country s productivity is
slowly decreasing and is being overrun by foreign competitors. This is due to the global economy
slowdown Malaysia has struggled to upgrade its industrial sector

The Truman Show
1. The Truman Show included multiple scenes of people reading newspaper headlines. The headlines
had secret meanings to them that an unknown viewer would not notice.
Crackdown on Homeless: This headline appeared the day after the presumed homeless man identified
himself as Truman s father. After he did this, random people took him away. The intent of the
newspaper was to convince Truman that the person he encountered was a homeless man and that
SeaHaven is trying to get the homeless out.
Travelers Beware: After Truman decided that he wanted to travel to Fiji, he went to a traveling agency
to book a flight. While he was waiting for the agent, he looked over and saw the sign headline. This
sign wanted to heighten Truman s fear of travel.

Contradictory to the movie, the name also inquires that everything around Truman is the truth. In
addition, Truman had moments of resemblance to Jesus Christ which also ties into the names Christof
and Santa Maria.
4. The Truman Show used many different camera angles to depict every aspect of Truman s life. This
was so the viewer had complete satisfaction. They used reasonable angles such as store security
cameras, picture frames, and mechanical equipment. In contrast, the show used angles from inside
vending machines, pencil sharpeners, and buttons on other actor s clothing. When Christof and
Truman were in a shot together, Christof would always be bigger in one way or another, except for
one shot. This was to showcase that Christof overpowers Truman.

the content that they do not see the actors as actual people. The actors are just seen as material for the

Critical Analysis of Standardization and Adaptation in...
⦁ Introduction:
In internationalization, the most challenging decision faced by the company to choose between
standardization and adaptation in its operations, products or services. It has been one of the important
and most popular research topics since 1960s to understand whether standardization is better or
adaptation for marketing mix in international marketing. The increasing role of international
expansion of business across the borders has also increased the focus of companies towards the
international marketing strategies. It is also a biggest challenge for companies to better understand the
different needs and choice of customers due to the huge differences among the cultures from various
nationalities. This leads to the dilemma in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The least level of adaptation occurs in product attributes such as quality, design, features and
characteristics. Comparing the products related elements with pricing related elements, adaptation is
more used in pricing approach. The key reason for such differences occurs due to the variation among
countries in marketing objective, inflation rate, purchasing power parity, cost structure, government
control and competitive policies. Pricing adjustments are somehow centered around different areas
namely retail prices versus margin, whole price versus margin, pricing method versus strategies, sales
versus payment terms and end user pricing versus margin. On the other hand, promotion related
elements have slightly above average level adaptation.
Amongst the marketing mix elements, promotional elements seem to be more adaptive and even
personal selling is more adaptive than advertisement. The key reason of the same is identified by
Vrontis, Thrassou and Lamprianou (2009) and stated there are few factors responsible for it such as
differences in media

Combating Resistance to Organizational Change Essay
Combating Resistance to Organizational Change
By any objective measure, the amount of important, frequently distressing, change in organizations
has grown enormously over the last two decades (Kotter, 1996). Jeffrey M. Hiatt, CEO of Prosci Inc.,
(as cited by Gibson, Ivancevich, Donnelly Konopaske, 2009, p. 481) explained, thirty years ago, a
foturne 100 probably had one or two enterprisewide change intitiatives goiong on; today that number
is proably between 20 and 25. The speed of global, economic, and techological development makes
change an ineveitable element of organiztional life. Change is a pervasive, perisitent, and permenant
condition for all organizations (Gibson, et al., 2009). Organizational change means different ... Show

If organizations are to thrive and be sustaining, they need to respond to the dynamics of their
environment with change. However, change is not a singular event with an isolated focus (Spector,
2007). Effective strategic renewal is a combination of the three faces of change turnaround, which
targets costs; technology, which targets internal process; and behavioral, which targets employee
actions and interactions (Spector, 2007). In a discussion on change management, particularly
management by control versus management by shaping, Palmer, et al. (2009) draw a similar
conclusion that organizations and human systems are complex and evolving and therefore cannot be
reduced to a single, linear objective of maximizing shareholder value (p. 50).
Forces for Change
Despite some variations in change approach labels among academic research, it seems generally
accepted that forces for change are the catalyst for change itself. Gibson, et al. (2009) classified forces
for change into two groups; environmental and internal, and further described environmental forces as
those generally beyond management s control and internal forces generally within management s
control. These forces for change trigger an intervention or change process that can take any of three
approaches: structural, behavioral, or technological (Gibson, et al. 2009). Similarly, Spector (2007)
discussed change approaches as those of organizational turnarounds, behavioral and

Speech On The Yellow Jacket Program
Sunday Night
This past Sunday night me and a few of the other freshman football players made the stupid decision
to drink. There are many lessons learned from that night that I will keep locked in my head for the rest
of my career on the Randolph Macon football team and in my life after I graduate. Everything that I
do off the field will affect how I perform, how I am viewed as a person, and most importantly the
team. My bad decision has already caused a distraction in the middle of the season. My actions are
unacceptable and will never happen again, plus I will pass on what I did to others and show them that
what I did is not what the yellow jacket program is about.
First off I want to apologize to you and all of the coaching staff for making such a horrible choice after
all the time and effort that you all put in me. I am very disappointed in myself for choosing to do this
and allowing others to do the same. I appreciate everything that you all do for me and I promise to not
only change the way I go about things but to do my best to regain the trust that I have taken for
granted.
What I do off the field any day of the week will affect how I perform in the weight room, on the field
at practice, and in the classroom. This program is not built upon the principle that off time is time for
you to do whatever you want to do. During the time that the team is given off we are supposed to be
relaxing and recuperating for the next day. From here on out I will always take the

Williams Use of Imagery and Symbolism in A Streetcar...
Williams Use of Imagery and Symbolism in A Streetcar Named Desire
Williams uses figurative language in his lengthy stage directions to convey to the reader a deeper,
more intense picture than a description alone could express. In the opening stage direction Williams
illustrates the area around Elysian Fields. He uses personification to describe the warm breath of the
brown river (P1). I think this creates an atmosphere that is decaying yet at the same time welcoming
and affectionate. This is contrasted by Williams depiction of the tender blue (P1) sky and the
weathered grey (P1) houses, suggesting a tension hanging over Elysian Fields. Symbolically Elysian
Fields, where Stella and Stanley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The music is symbolic of typical life for the inhabitants of that part of the city and plays for a brief
interval (P43) following Stanley s violent attack on Stella, reinforcing to the audience that Stanley s
violence is part of the way of life in Elysian Fields. It also returns at the end of scene ten when Stanley
rapes Blanche.
The symbolism Williams uses in the opening scene of A Streetcar Named Desire gives the reader more
insight into the main characters of the play, makes them more vivid and also hints at the outcome for
these characters. Stanley as he enters scene one, carries … a red stained package from a butcher s
(P20). I think Williams uses this symbol to illustrate Stanley s character as an aggressive hunter, he
heaves the package at [Stella] showing his attitude to his wife. Williams uses animal imagery
associated with Stanley to emphasise Stanley s basic, animal like, territorial character. Stanley is
bellowing (P2) to Stella, which creates an image of a bull and intensifies the picture of an aggressive
animal with animal joy in his being… implicit in all his movements and attitudes (P16). Williams uses
the metaphor of a richly feathered male bird among hens (P16) and a gaudy seed bearer in his stage
directions to describe Stanley as he enters his apartment. I think this

kids about juicing and compassion towards our fellow creatures in an age appropriate way. With bright
colors, fun stuffed animals characters and colorful phrases, this book is really cool, fresh and modern.
Kids, including my 4 year old son, really love it. This book is one of a select few that I highly
recommend to vegan and vegetarian children and to any parents and children seeking to live a
healthier more compassionate life. It would make a great gift for any child. Nathalie s handmade
stuffed animals would make a great huggable addition to the book.

Rikki Tavi Quotes
Rikki tikki tavi was willing to risk his life for his family and others around him. Though Rikki Tikki is

heart is too big to be contained, so his love expresses itself by making him courageous and brave for
his family. In society people tend to underestimate animals like Rikki but he is a guardian angel
watching over the home of his family. Rikki Tikki Tavi is a hero in the story. He killed the cobra
snakes to protect his family of birds from the whispers of death. Rikki Tikki Tavi is hero for many
reasons in this story. One reason is Rudyard Kipling wrote it must be the head, he said at last; the head

Hitler s Conspiracies On The Home Front
On October 7th, 1916, Hitler received a server would to the leg resulting from a shell blast, while
stationed near Bapaume. He was then sent to convalesce at Beelitz, where he healed up. When he had
recovered from the injury he went on a trip to nearby Berlin, for some sight seeing. The capital was
suffering from food shortages, and that combined with long working hours for the munition workers
caused work strikes to occur. This is seen as the real reason behind the fall of Germany, a lack of food
and thus lack of mutations. After witnessing this all Hitler labeled them cowards and traitors, showing
no empathy for their plight. The lack of morale for the war was sickening for him and depressed him
greatly. Soon. he returned to his regiment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

have no way of capturing it. While the Germans fought bravely, it was a losing battle they were

False Accusations In The Crucible
Infused with mystery, fear grim facts and records, Witchcraft history can be traced back to centuries.
During the Salem Witch Trials, false accusations were being spread around leading to the community
of Salem to be filled with fear and death. In his novel, The Crucible, Arthur Miller argues that making
false accusations and rumors can ruin a person s reputation, and eventually, a community. First, Miller
establishes his criticism of false accusations through his negative portrayal of characters who engage
in this practice. Reverand Parris daughter, Betty Parris, became sick after she and other girls went into
the forest. Abigail was one of the girls that went into the forest with her. Parris was asking if her
reputation was clean. Parris ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marshal Herrick enters the Salem jails nearly drunk and tries to wake Sarah Good up. While doing
this, he wakes up Tituba. As they were talking, A bellowing cow was heard. Tituba says, Oh, it be no

and calls to the window: Aye, sir! That s him Sarah! (Miller 113). Tituba mistakes the bellowing cow
as the devil s call. The cow was heard because its owners were in jail, the fences were knocked down.
This shows that Salem is a corrupt community and is falling apart. Later on, Hale says to Danforth,
there are orphans wandering from house to house; abandoned cattle bellow on the highroads, the stink
of rotting crops hangs everywhere, and no man knows when the harlots cry will end his life... (Miller
121). Hale says this to Danforth because there are many people being jailed, killed, or accused of
witchcraft and since this is happening, there is no one to take care of their kids, tame the cows, and
harvest the crops. To summarize, Salem has fallen apart due to puritans being in jail and not being able

Gatsby Chicago Lie

25 October, 2017
Don t run away from the Truth
The characters in both The Great Gatsby and Chicago lie because they fear the law, manipulate others
and dislike the people they have become. Many people are scared of what might happen to them when
saying the truth so instead they tell them lies. These lies that people make up can cause problems with
things like witht the law, people you care about, and changing what kind of person you are when in
reality you are a total different person. They do all those lis and not say the truth because they can be
scared of what can happen next and feel that with those lies and hiding the truth can make them better
people to others and themselves.
In both The Great Gatsby and Chicago the characters both fear the law since they say many lies to not
get in trouble with the law. In the book The Great Gatsby Daisy declares that, He ran over Myrtle like
you d run over a dog and never even stopped his car. (138) Daisy here is clearly putting the blame on
Gatsby which she knows he will take since he loves Daisy. Daisy is afraid that she will get in huge
trouble with the law because of this she makes up a lie to hide the real truth about who really killed
Myrtle. With this lie that Daisy made up caused even more problems in the future and even caused a

The Quest For Power In Shakespeare s Macbeth

Sometimes, in order to achieve power, abuses occur and people are hurt or taken advantage of along

and in the story The Tragedy of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth killed the king to gain total

Auxin Is Better Than Natural Auxin Analysis
Plant hormones are chemical signals released by a tissue and delivered to a receptor tissue. Auxin is
the hormone most commonly found in plants. Auxin regulates and aids in the development of plants
(Kazan 2013). The acid growth hypothesis states that an acidic ph will enhance the effects of auxin in
seed development and plant growth. Radish seeds were planted in acidic soil and administered natural
and synthetic auxin in order to test for the effect of synthetic auxin in an acidic soil on plant growth.
The reason for this experiment is to test whether or not synthetic (man made) auxin works better than
natural auxin in growth development. It was found that the natural kind of auxin works better in an

After the process of pollination and the development of the embryo stops, a seed is formed. The seed
will remain dormant until it comes in contact with water which causes gibberellins (a type of plant
hormone) to be released which will trigger the layer covering the embryo to produce enzymes needed
to break down the endosperm and release the nutrients that are stored there. Those nutrients will be
used by the embryo for growth. Hormones are chemical substances that help and regulate plant growth
and aid in seed germination (Gutzler and Brewer 2013). There are seven different types of plant
hormones and they all trigger specific reactions. One of the first hormones discovered in plants was
Auxin. Auxin is known to aid in stem elongation and shape direction of growth (Gutzler and Brewer
2013). There are many different kinds of auxin. Indoleacetic acid (IAA) and Naphthalene acetic acid

Rowan Williams Journey
Along the Journey: Traveling to Unknown Places with God
The unexamined life is not worth living Socrates
As I sat uncomfortably in a tiny chair in the corner of my daughter s room to assist in what I thought
was a simple fourth grade assignment on immigration and cultural assimilation little did I know that
this unexpected stroll down memory lane would illicit such vivid recollection. The insightful probing
questions unearthed scenes of my life that prior to this point laid dormant partially covered by the
current realities of the present, and added to that, the uncertain anticipation of the future. In his work,

Contrary to the popular contemporary notion that pulses at the heart of prosperity teachings, the
Christian journey is not without suffering. In fact, hardship is a part of the human experience. Nothing
has highlighted this truth more so than the recent illness of my mother. My mother was and in many
regards still is the epitome of strength, the matriarch and stalwart of the family whose deep faith and
convictions continue to reverberate through the many lives that she has touched. As a pastor, marriage
and family therapist, and professor of sociology, her training, intellect and experience afforded her
tremendous opportunities to minister the gospel in a variety of contexts. By all visible signs she
appeared whole. The sudden change came as a shock. I will never forget the Doctor s diagnosis a
highly uncommon disease called autoimmune encephalitis an illness that causes the immune system to
attack the brain. I have watched helplessly hoping for a reduction in the rapid decline of her once
advanced cognitive ability. God why? Again I found myself raising self centered questions. Over the
past two years I have silently grappled theologically with the question of illness. This increasingly
uncomfortable phase and the wide array of practical challenges and decisions that have come with
caring for an ill parent has restructured my hermeneutic on suffering. In many

The Interplay Between Human Laws And Divine Law In...
Sophocles Antigone focuses on the interplay between human laws and divine laws. Although the
divines do not directly appear in the play, their rules strongly affect characters behaviors. Although the
actions of the characters as well as the conclusion of the play demonstrate deities superior status to
humans, the divine is unable to assume certain roles in the human world. The play s first stasimon,
also known as the Ode to Man , is one of the most obvious clues that the divine is superior to humans.
The stasimon describes the wondrous power of human beings while stresses that only if we honor the
laws and the oath bound justice of the gods (370), can we be successful. In the case of human refusing
to respect the gods, our special status would fall. The play starts with Antigone, late king Oedipus s
daughter, agonizing to her sister Ismene over the death of her brothers Polynices and Eteocles, who
die over a bloody conflict over Oedipus succession. In her agony, Antigone describes the bloody civil
war as the final penalty to Zeus for Oedipus (3). Zeus, according to Antigone, is the master behind
Oedipus s downfall and the plague against her family. Since Eteocles was the ruler of the city, and
Polynices rebelled, Creon, the new king, decrees that no one shall bury Polynices. Creon justifies his
decisions based on the chorus s statement that chance and the gods make him king (157) as well as the
consideration that the decision would bring stability. Creon also claims that as long as he remains
reverent to Zeus (304), his words will carry absolute authority. Loving her brother, Antigone, however,
decides to go against Creon s decree and bury her brother. She calls not burying Polynices an insult to
what the gods believe everyone deserves a proper burial. Soon, a watchman captures Antigone and
brings her in front of Creon for questioning (432 440). Antigone justifies her argument against Creon s
decree by arguing that Polynices deserves a proper burial like anyone else does since it was the
intention of Hades, the god of the underworld. She believes Creon, a human being, cannot make laws
with enough power to trample the gods unfailing, unwritten laws (456 457). Antigone s argument

Blood Pattern Analysis
Blood Spatter Pattern Analysis Kimberley Kanuch Brown Everest University Abstract Given that
blood spatter analysis is an emergent field, with rapidly occurring developments have significant
probative implications for the court system, this project will seek to examine the multi faceted
elements of blood spatter analysis to provide an overview of the field s different dimensions. Focusing
on technical developments, analytical interpretation and court relevance, the project will propose that
blood spatter s analysis as a mainstream element of the CSI toolkit results from the combination of
physical sciences and analytical rigor which lies at its core. Beginning with questions of technical and

Blood Spatter Analysis and Interpretation Moving forward to questions of blood spatter interpretation,
historically a subjective area of practice, the work of Trombka et al. (2002) sheds important light on
how computerized analysis can now lead to the automation of many elements of blood spatter
analysis. This is incredibly beneficial, for this particular CSI technique, because of the fact that
computerized analysis brings about the type of parsimony, associated with rigorous hard sciences,
which increases a discipline s credibility in a court of law. Indeed, and because computerized spatter
analysis will inevitably bring about greater reliability in spatter analysis, inasmuch as cases will now
be analyzed in identical ways by different analysts, the discipline s probative relevance to court cases
is likely to be increased dramatically. In a similar vein, Raul et al. (2005) argue that, in
conceptualizing of the gunshot, we must make assumptions regarding its blood effects on the basis of
trajectory and other elements. Examining shots to the head, the authors note that, depending on the
trajectory of the bullet, the head will move in a different way. Because of this, blood spatter analysis

Full House Vs Modern Family
Have you ever wondered if there is a difference between sitcoms back then and now? This paper is
going to compare and contrast the differences between an episode of Full House and an episode of
Modern Family. We are able to spot notable differences and similarities by comparing the characters,
plot, and setting for both of these sitcoms. First off we are going to compare the characters. As shown
in Modern Family, Manny steals a necklace on accident and does not want to have to own up to it.
Manny is very proper and acts more like an adult than a kid. He cares a lot about his appearance and
usually does not steal but may have inherited this from his mom, Gloria (Gloria grew up in Columbia
and had many bad influences as a kid such as stealing). Manny can be related to Stephanie in Full
house because she also makes a mistake, She cuts Jessie s precious hair. Stephanie is kind of stubborn

episode they start in a grocery store ,then go to Manny s house, then the school, then Phil s house, and

in Full House. As in Modern Family when Claire had to prove she was right, This entailed going to the
store and buying the tapes to show that she was wrong. In the past you couldn t just got to the store to
buy the video camera recordings. They didn t even have cameras to record what you were doing. This
is very different than Full House in which the main settings are all at one house. The consist of
upstairs, downstairs, and the backyard. Throughout the episode they do not show any other places.
With the power of technology we are about to now go to many different places. Also in Full House
they have laugh reels ,that are not very believable, to show the audience when something funny has

The Unbounded Reach of Rhetoric Essay
The Unbounded Reach of Rhetoric
In the year of 1938, during the Nuremburg Conference, a man stands up to deliver the closing speech.
This speech is not particularly as well known or as significant as many of his other speeches, but the
words of this thin and paunchy man are strong and resolute. He states, When the question is still put to
us why National Socialism fights with such fanaticism against the Jewish element in Germany, why it
pressed and still presses for its removal then the answer can only be: Because National Socialism
desires to establish a true community of the people.... Because we are National Socialists, we can

In Book One of the Persian Expedition, Clearchus, a general of Cyrus, handles a potential mutiny
from the Greek mercenary soldiers when they become suspicious of Cyrus s motives. At first
Clearchus tried to force his own soldiers to go forward, but they threw stones at him and at his
baggage animals as soon as they attempted to make a start. Clearchus was very nearly stoned to death
on this occasion (Warner 65). Realizing that force was not going to work, he appeals to the method of
rhetoric by making a speech and having two of his men deliver a pre constructed speech. He coyly
feigns loyalty to the soldiers while he simultaneously makes it seem that going against Cyrus would
be impossible. Although still suspicious, the soldiers reluctantly decide to go with and fight for Cyrus.
This scene depicts rhetoric overcoming brute force in the promotion of violence. Rhetoric is a form of
action and without it many of the events in the novel would have either never occurred or gone quite
differently. In the PanHellenic dialogues by Xenophon, the army is not only motivated to continue on
in their endeavors but he also clears their conscious about committing barbaric acts. This can been
seen when he addresses the army and says, But when we come to a place where we are given no
opportunities to buy food, then, whether it is native country or Greek country, we take our own
supplies and do this not out of wanton aggression, but from necessity (Warner 240).

Analysis of Article The Go-Nowhere Generation
In the article The Go Nowhere Generation, the Buchholzes argue that the present generation of youths
has taken a turn for the worse, losing the sense of spirit that were once synonymous with people of
their age and settling for meager jobs in their hometowns instead. The target audience of The Go
Nowhere Generation is educated older adults and parents, who are most likely to share the authors
views. The authors implement a series of comparisons, which include statistics and descriptions,
between the past and present generation of young adults to illustrate their position. However, though
the authors make several valid points that are supported by solid evidence, the article falls short of
being truly convincing due to its narrow views ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Buchholzes use data skillfully to show the downfall of the young person.
The authors extend the comparisons using descriptions and adjectives. The past generation of youths
was made up of go getters eager to hit the road and find freedom ; they were even the inspiration for
Bruce Springsteen s vivacious album, Born to Run. The authors claim that today s youths are far from
that, holding nothing back as they describe the young people of this generation. Risk averse and
sedentary, they don t bother to get their driver s licenses, are satisfied to be at home browsing
Facebook, and put too much faith in luck than effort. In other words, Generation Y has become
Generation Why Bother. The authors appeal to the audience s sense of patriotism, stating that
American is a nation of movers and shakers and enumerating the accounts of bravery shown by the
youths of previous generations, images that are admittedly different from the image they have crafted
of the modern young person. The praises and favorable descriptions that the authors lavish upon
previous generations of youths contrast sharply with the lackluster and borderline insulting
descriptions of today s young adults. The juxtapositions accentuate how far Generation Y has fallen
from its predecessors and prove, once again, that its constituents are leading stagnant lives. Even
though the authors have valid points and cite credible sources, their argument fails to be effective in
several ways. For one,

Prevalence Of Abortion And Contraceptive Practice
PREVALENCE OF ABORTION AND CONTRACEPTIVE PRACTICE AMONG WOMEN
SEEKING REPEAT INDUCED ABORTION IN WESTERN NIGERIA
ABSTRACT
The background Induced abortion contributes significantly to maternal mortality in developing
countries yet women still seek repeat induced abortion in spite of availability of contraceptive
services. The aim of this study is to determine the rate of abortion and contraceptive use among
women seeking repeat induced abortion in Western Nigeria. Method. A prospective cross sectional
study utilizing self administered questionnaires was administered to women seeking abortion in
private hospitals/clinics in four geopolitical areas of Ogun State, Western Nigeria, from January 1 to
December 31 2012. Data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0. Results. The age range for those seeking
repeat induced abortion was 15 to 51 years while the median age was 25 years. Of 2934 women
seeking an abortion, 23% reported having had one or more previous abortions. Of those who had had
more than one abortion, the level of awareness of contraceptives was 91.7% while only 21.5% used a
contraceptive at their first intercourse after the procedure; 78.5% of the pregnancies were associated
with non contraceptive use while 17.5% were associated with contraceptive failure. The major reason
for non contraceptive use was fear of side effects. Conclusion. The rate of women seeking repeat
abortions is high in Nigeria. The rate of contraceptive use is low while contraceptive

There was a small green dot on the pH paper. Which indicates a change in the chemical, but it this was

Because this shows that magnesium is flammable. Then in scenario three the solution fizzed after
sodium hydroxide and copper nitrate mixed. Which indicates a chemical change because bubbles were
created from these two chemicals mixing. Then in scenario four the substance foamed and became
pasty, after five drops of hydrochloric acid was added into two grams of sodium bicarbonate.
According to the table above the pH level has also changed, which this indicates a chemical change,
because bubbles were also formed. Then for scenario five, the paraffin wax melted, and turned into a

Fly Away Peter Analysis
How do David Malouf in Fly away Peter and Gabriele Muccino in Seven Pounds use language and
stylistic features to present the idea of the journey to sacrifice? Fly away Peter follows the journey of
two young men Jim Saddler and Ashley Crowther who leave their peaceful life for the horror and
brutality of World War I. Whilst the film Seven pounds explores the story of Tim Thomas (Will Smith)
who is containing a fateful secret, he sets of a journey of redemption to change the lives of seven

The Collapse Of The Oslo Negotiations
Although the claim that the collapse of the Oslo negotiations was due to a failure of process rather
than of substance carries some weight, I will argue that had the substance of the terms of Oslo been
more explicit and had they avoided an open ended gradualism approach, I doubt that the ensuing
process would have had such a devastating effect on the negotiations. In the following essay I will
analyse the key reasons for the failure of Oslo, namely the constructive ambiguity of the terms
themselves and how this contributed to creating conflicting misconceptions regarding the final
settlement, the lack of an explicit commitment to the two state solution as the end point of the
negotiations and finally the gradualist structure for the peace ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This was the first of among many terms whose meaning was effectively nullified by the constructive
ambiguity of the Oslo Accords. Abd Al Sahfi furthers this argument stating that, through the Accords,
the status of the West Bank and Gaza strip was being blurred from being recognisably occupied to
only being disputed as well as Ben Ami stating there is nothing in the letter of the Oslo accords that
prevents the creation of settlements . Israel capitalised upon this ambiguity through its settlement
expansion programme, to them, a provision merely implied could not be relied upon, especially as
there were no provisions for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories, even as a
final status issue. To the Palestinians this was indicative of Israel s inability to take a decision that
would recognize these as Palestinian territories , even if the Israelis claimed this was a matter of
interpreting the terms as only applying to the legal status of the occupied territories rather than to the
demographic and geographic status quo. Though the Accords enumerate a number of contentious
issues to be deferred to a later date, with even reference being made to UN Security Council
Resolution 242 (the withdrawal of territories) the Israelis profited from the openness of the terms so as
to exploit their powers as occupiers to the hilt so that by the time final status negotiations discussing

Raw by Scott Monk, Hard Rock by Etheridge Knight, and Dangerous Minds by John N. Smith
Institutions can have positive and negative effects that can alter an individual s perceptions, judgment
and values. Raw by Scott Monk, Hard Rock by Etheridge Knight and Dangerous Minds by John N.
Smith help communicate an understanding of how such institutions can reform an individual.
The novel Raw written by Scott Monk, is simple in style but introduces interesting and an acceptable
insight to the concept of the institution and the individual experience . Brett Dalton resembles a highly
wrought, reactionary character who challenged or feels confronted by structures of authority or
control.
Using Brett as the protagonist, Monk opens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He implies that the power to change lives within the individual. Further on in the novel, Brett is still of
concern and Sam reaches out to try and help. Don t shut me out, Brett. I do know the score and that is
why I m worried about you . This indicates the positive effect of the institution and on the individual.
Josh is another character who helps Brett reform. Josh is seen as the rehabilitated teenager who
chooses to stay on the farm. He helps Brett realize that his problems are the least of his worries when
compared with other troubled teenagers, for example Josh himself. His problems are quite
indescribable, he has no parents that desire to care for him, whilst Brett does, and this changes Brett s
perspective towards Josh and his life. Monk deliberately outlines the change in Brett through Josh to
demonstrate the changing experience and positive effect of the institution on Brett.
Scott Monk employs many techniques to convey his ideas of the positive changes Brett incurred from
an institution. One of many is the use of contrast, which juxtaposes Brett s life at the beginning and his
reformed life at the end. Monk highlights this contrast through the prologue and epilogue. In the
prologue, Brett hates anyone who has the authority he thinks the whole world is against him, whilst in
the epilogue Brett had learnt to make friendships, gain trust and respect and learn to accept his own
mistakes and responsibilities.

Yoga And The Yoga Community
Yoga, being one of the most effective self help approaches to life and living, invites me to help ensure
that it is being integrated with maximum wisdom related to breathing. This page is about supporting
and educating the Yoga community in its quest for superior knowledge and effectiveness about proper
breathing. It is our responsibility to alert everyone about this as there are probably millions of students
and teachers with an unclear or distorted idea of healthy breathing.
Nowadays, you can take weekend courses and call yourself a teacher. Many teachers are then first to
defend their breathing development proficiency but alas, last to prove it. One needs to experience
good breathing to teach it.
From a Breathing Times subscriber:
Breath is the unifying principal of the three systems mechanics, metabolism and mentality. It is the
psychopharmacological link between conscious and unconscious states. Each of the three mechanical
aspects of breath has specific neurotransmission function. Any technique(s) that emphasize(s) one
aspect of the mechanism exclusively will shift neurometabolism accordingly. Yoga practices are
designed for this purpose, stimulating a specific aspect or relationship of aspects. I realize that
contemporary yogis don t always explain it this way,and I think that also leads to misuse and abuse.
Right knowledge is yoga or union. That union is from bringing together all aspects, and applying
iscernment.

Compare and contrast Porphyrias lover and My last Duchess
Porphyrias lover and My Last Duchess are similar in many ways, they are both written by Robert

count, whose daughter he hopes, to marry. The Duke is trying to impress the counts representative by
showing him around his gallery and the painting of his last Duchess. He openly speaks about having
his last Duchess murdered, because she did not show him enough respect. Porphyria s lover is a

The upper class in both poems are in control for most of it. Porphyria and the Duke are both in

Porphyria s lover. This could symbolise a man s power, both men come out on top. However there are
differences in this.

Analysis Of Rules Of Attraction By Bret Easton Ellis
The Lack of an Identity Drug dealer, suicidal, cynical, and promiscuous. These are some of the
adjectives that can describe the recurring character Sean in the book Rules of Attraction written by
Bret Easton Ellis. Keeping in mind Sean s characteristics, readers can firmly assure that Sean develops
an attraction to Lauren, one of the other main characters in the novel. However, over the course of the
novel, Sean tells some remarks about having sex with women. From his own narration of the story, the
reader cannot imagine that he also dates men. Paul, one of the other main narrators, brings in question
Sean s heterosexuality by stating that he is involved in a sexual relationship with Sean. Sean does not
regard those encounters whatsoever, which may lead the readers to believe his mental silence about
sex with Paul reveal a hidden area in Sean s life. Sean describes his sexual encounters with women,
but he omits his encounters with Sean. Instead of telling his version of the story, he recalls past
experiences with other women. Additionally, he seems to be obsessed about sexually pleasing women,
and despite his assertion of loving Laura, certain attitudes show the opposite. Therefore, Sean s
omission of his sex encounters with Paul, his remarks of about sex with women, and his false love for
Lauren reveal that this character is denying his real identity. Even though Sean does not corroborate

Buster Keaton Research Paper
The history of the American motion is heavily influenced by various dominant and prominent eras and
their stars. The era of silent comedy is such an impactful era. This era is often considered as the period
that changed the shape of the whole industry. Until that period of time, there were not any film star or
actor who had successfully redesigned comedy. But the base of the American motion was to undergo a
huge change. The scenario completely changed with the advent of three heavyweights of that era
namely Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Harold Lloyd. All of these three actors had uniqueness in
their acting capabilities and styles. They produced quality work and became famous. These were the
three faces who changed the shape and direction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keaton had become a household and prominent name during the era of silent films. His first
appearance in the feature length comedy was in the movie titled The Saphead (1920). He was soon
awarded his own production company titled Buster Keaton Comedies. He starred in short films like
One Week (1920), The Playhouse (1921), Cops (1922), and The Electric House (1922). His acting was
acknowledged and gained appraisal from both audiences and critics. Then he decided to return back to
the feature films again. He starred in several acclaimed and renowned films like Our Hospitality
(1923), The Navigator (1924), Sherlock Jr. (1924), Seven Chances (1925), The General (1926),
Steamboat Bill Jr. (1928), and The Cameraman (1928). All of his films were unique and astonishing in
their own sense. Keaton impressed the audience with the consistency of stoic and deadpan
expressions. His expressions were as beautiful and as inhuman as a butterfly. There was hardly any
actor who used the method of expressionism with such high accuracy. He took this skill to a whole
new level. Most of his career progressed without any interruption. This clearly shows the passion and
dedication Keaton had for films. He was famous for his physical comedy. He was willing to sacrifice
his own safety for the sake of the film. The wide range of emotions he used was simply outstanding
and stunning. No one could take anything away from Keaton. He thought, produced and wrote his
own gags. He was also interested in depicting influencing incidents like he did in The General. This
film, depicting scenes of the Civil War, is arguably the best comedy film ever made. His use of parody
in multiple films represents his genius and his flexibility. He was not startled by anything. The rigid
look on his face, the reposed characteristic dignified his persona. He used the strategy of immediate
transformation

Bruno Mars s Music At The American Music Awards
Sunday night November 20, 2016. This is the night the American Music Awards (AMA s) opened in
2016. The American Music Awards is a huge event in the music industry. This event is sometimes
compared to the Grammys. As we all know, the opening and closing acts are the most important
because you have to start the show off right to get everyone in that good and exciting mood, then it is
also important to end the show with that special performance to remember until next year s event
comes. At the 2016 American Music Awards, Bruno Mars stole the show with this amazing opening of
to the show. He performed with his so called comeback song known as 24k Magic. This song is the
first single to his brand new album 24k Magic. Mars always knows how ... Show more content on

The stage performance is also a great factor into putting on a good show. That is no problem for bruno
mars. Bruno mars always has everyone moving when he steps onto the stage. Bruno mars shows any
gig he plays in that no matter how old you are, you will be on your feet dancing to the music. Mars
does this by coming up with great dance choreography and having great background dancers to back
him up. The entrance to the show needs to be perfect in order to get the audience moving with you. He
opened the show with amazing lights and hit the stage with his tight dance moves with his other stage
dancers. Each step was in unison with everyone else and it looked like no one skipped a step. This
perfection went on throughout the entire performance. When a different beat came on, a new dance
move came out. In the middle/ending of the song, the lights dimmed and he appeared on the stage
with four new dancers. The beat dropped and a new one came on for about a minute of the
performance. No singing went on and all there was was dancing. You can tell hours went into just this
little minute of the performance because the way he presented the dance was abstract and you can tell
that everyone was on beat and where they were suppose to be. Not many singers can break it down in
a dance like Bruno Mars did.
Mars connected to the audience members as well as people at home judging by all

Home Message For Children And Parents
A key take home message is that preschool children (ages 3 4) need to engage in 60 minutes of
physical activity a day, in order to enhance their health and well being (Gabbard Rodrigues, 2008;
Canada Sport for Life, 2005; Oliver et al., 2007). However, this message is more aimed at the parents
of preschool children, because it is their responsibility to ensure that their child is participating in an
adequate amount of exercise (Klesges et al., 1990). Parents have demonstrated a positive correlation to
the physical activity of their children (Klesges et al., 1990). Therefore, those parents that provide their
children with a lack of encouragement, will notice decreased physical activity among their children
(Klesges et al., 1990). Consequently, parents need to support their children to engage in 60 minutes of
physical activity a day, in order to improve their health.
This is an important message for children and parents, as it aims to enhance the well being and health
of preschool aged children (Oliver et al., 2007). Participating in regular physical activity improves
bone health, aerobic fitness, and it is beneficial for the development of fundamental motor skills
(Oliver et al., 2007). Bone health is increased due to physical activity, because exercise provides bones
with more strength. This is important because as you get old your bones weaken, however if you begin
exercising during preschool years, you have a higher chance of making physical activity a habit,
which will

Budget Is Important For An Organization
Budget
Knowing what resources are available is important for an organization to function. The organization
runs the risk of depleting resources or not using their resources effectively to accomplish the
organizations mission if resources are not accounted for. According to Dr. Dean s PowerPoint,
budgeting is the administrative activity of planning that determines what resources are needed and
how they should be supplied/applied. It should be noted that a budget is a planning tool. According to
Robert Welch, the administrative activity of budget was listed last of the seven elements that made up
the process of planning, he proposes his reasoning, For if planners seek the mind of God in
establishing their objectives and the parameters...then money will not be a problem because God will
empower that which He wants done in the church or religious organization (Welch, 167). It is wise for
a church to develop a budget, thereby ensuring that they are being good stewards of their resources.
There are three basic budgets to operate by. The government and military use a zero based budget.
Every year the budget starts at zero. Each budget unit must be justified for the next year. The key
advantage to this system is that each budget unit is reviewed and analyzed every year (welch, 168).
This allows the organization to determine if more or less resources should be requested in regard to
the budget item. It also allows the organization to assess the need for the budget unit.

The final element is, that the trade secret is the subject of efforts that are reasonable under the
circumstances to maintain its secrecy. §1333.61(D)(2). Addressing the issue of secrecy, the Mack
court found that the program was only available by request and that once a Franchisee requested the
program, that request would go though the vender to check to make sure the franchisee was authorized
to have the program. 2006 Ohio 2748 at 19. Once the software was downloaded the franchisee would
then have to submit a license agreement and receive an access code form the vendor. Id. at 20.
Lastly, the franchisee would need to explain to the vendor why a second code was needed before the
vender would give them one. Id. In Siegel, the court found that the client list could be a trade secret
under the third element because the client list was maintained on a computer that was protected by a
password. 707 N.E.2d 853 at 862. Also, the hard copies of the lists were stored in file cabinet which

I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
Markus Zusak s I Am the Messenger
Many issues can influence the development of an author s novel. Maybe the author wants to focus on
historical matters, and place historical references into their novel. Maybe social concerns are the topic
in their novel. Or maybe the author intends for their novel to be a political work. Regardless of what
sort of influence they consider placing into their novel, all authors do tend to allow one thing to
influence their writing, their own personalities and personal knowledge. Creating a novel comes from
within an author s personality and experiences and naturally forms their story. Biographical influence
is noticeable in the character of Ed as in Markus Zusak s I Am the Messenger.
The location in which someone grew up and got an education often has a massive impact on how that
person develops. Where you are dictates who your friends are, what school you attend, what job you
get, and even who you might marry. Zusak grew up in Australia and still lives there currently. Though
I Am the Messenger is not directly stated to take place in Australia, Zusak made quite clear during an
interview that took place between him and the blog Yapping About Young Adult. In this interview,
Zusak states that I Am the Messenger is very Australian . . . Australians like to argue with each other,
usually in a friendly sort of way ( Interview With Author Markus Zusak, n.p.). This clearly shows that
Zusak s work, and the development of the characters is

Crackdown on Homeless: This headline appeared the day after the presumed homeless man identified himself as Truman s father. After he did this, random people took him away. The intent of the newspaper was to convince Truman that the person he encountered was a homeless man and that SeaHaven is trying to get the homeless out. They used reasonable angles such as store security cameras, picture frames, and mechanical equipment. In contrast, the show used angles from inside vending machines, pencil sharpeners, and buttons on other actor s clothing. When Christof and Truman were in a shot together, Christof would always be bigger in one way or another, except for one shot. This was to showcase that Christof overpowers Truman. 5. Comparing the products related elements with pricing related elements, adaptation is more used in pricing approach. Pricing adjustments are somehow centered around different areas namely retail prices versus margin, whole price versus margin, pricing method versus strategies, sales versus payment terms and end user pricing versus margin. On the other hand, promotion related elements have slightly above average level adaptation. Amongst the marketing mix elements, promotional elements seem to be more adaptive and even personal selling is more adaptive than advertisement. Combating Resistance to Organizational Change Essay Combating Resistance to Organizational Change By any objective measure, the amount of important, frequently distressing, change in organizations has grown enormously over the last two decades (Kotter, 1996). If organizations are to thrive and be sustaining, they need to respond to the dynamics of their environment with change. However, change is not a singular event with an isolated focus (Spector, 2007). Effective strategic renewal is a combination of the three faces of change turnaround, which targets costs; technology, which targets internal process; and behavioral, which targets employee actions and interactions (Spector, 2007). In a discussion on change management, particularly management by control versus management by shaping, Palmer, et al. (2009) draw a similar conclusion that organizations and human systems are complex and evolving and therefore cannot be reduced to a single, linear objective of maximizing shareholder value (p. 50). Forces for Change Despite some variations in change approach labels among academic research, it seems generally accepted that forces for change are the catalyst for change itself. Gibson, et al. (2009) classified forces for change into two groups; environmental and internal, and further described environmental forces as those generally beyond management s control and internal forces generally within management s control. These forces for change trigger an intervention or change process that can take any of three approaches: structural, behavioral, or technological (Gibson, et al. 2009). Similarly, Spector (2007) discussed change approaches as those of organizational turnarounds, behavioral and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Speech On The Yellow Jacket Program Sunday Night This past Sunday night me and a few of the other freshman football players made the stupid decision to drink. There are many lessons learned from that night that I will keep locked in my head for the rest of my career on the Randolph Macon football team and in my life after I graduate. Everything that I do off the field will affect how I perform, how I am viewed as a person, and most importantly the team. My bad decision has already caused a distraction in the middle of the season. My actions are unacceptable and will never happen again, plus I will pass on what I did to others and show them that what I did is not what the yellow jacket program is about. First off I want to apologize to you and all of the coaching staff for making such a horrible choice after all the time and effort that you all put in me. I am very disappointed in myself for choosing to do this and allowing others to do the same. I appreciate everything that you all do for me and I promise to not only change the way I go about things but to do my best to regain the trust that I have taken for granted. What I do off the field any day of the week will affect how I perform in the weight room, on the field at practice, and in the classroom. This program is not built upon the principle that off time is time for you to do whatever you want to do. During the time that the team is given off we are supposed to be relaxing and recuperating for the next day. From here on out I will always take the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Williams Use of Imagery and Symbolism in A Streetcar... Williams Use of Imagery and Symbolism in A Streetcar Named Desire Williams uses figurative language in his lengthy stage directions to convey to the reader a deeper, more intense picture than a description alone could express. In the opening stage direction Williams illustrates the area around Elysian Fields. He uses personification to describe the warm breath of the brown river (P1). I think this creates an atmosphere that is decaying yet at the same time welcoming and affectionate. This is contrasted by Williams depiction of the tender blue (P1) sky and the weathered grey (P1) houses, suggesting a tension hanging over Elysian Fields. Symbolically Elysian Fields, where Stella and Stanley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The music is symbolic of typical life for the inhabitants of that part of the city and plays for a brief interval (P43) following Stanley s violent attack on Stella, reinforcing to the audience that Stanley s violence is part of the way of life in Elysian Fields. It also returns at the end of scene ten when Stanley rapes Blanche. The symbolism Williams uses in the opening scene of A Streetcar Named Desire gives the reader more insight into the main characters of the play, makes them more vivid and also hints at the outcome for these characters. Stanley as he enters scene one, carries … a red stained package from a butcher s (P20). I think Williams uses this symbol to illustrate Stanley s character as an aggressive hunter, he heaves the package at [Stella] showing his attitude to his wife. Williams uses animal imagery associated with Stanley to emphasise Stanley s basic, animal like, territorial character. Stanley is bellowing (P2) to Stella, which creates an image of a bull and intensifies the picture of an aggressive animal with animal joy in his being… implicit in all his movements and attitudes (P16). Williams uses the metaphor of a richly feathered male bird among hens (P16) and a gaudy seed bearer in his stage directions to describe Stanley as he enters his apartment. I think this ... • 20. Auxin Is Better Than Natural Auxin Analysis Plant hormones are chemical signals released by a tissue and delivered to a receptor tissue. Auxin is the hormone most commonly found in plants. Auxin regulates and aids in the development of plants (Kazan 2013). The acid growth hypothesis states that an acidic ph will enhance the effects of auxin in seed development and plant growth. Radish seeds were planted in acidic soil and administered natural and synthetic auxin in order to test for the effect of synthetic auxin in an acidic soil on plant growth. The reason for this experiment is to test whether or not synthetic (man made) auxin works better than natural auxin in growth development. It was found that the natural kind of auxin works better in an acidic environment than synthetic auxin. Introduction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After the process of pollination and the development of the embryo stops, a seed is formed. The seed will remain dormant until it comes in contact with water which causes gibberellins (a type of plant hormone) to be released which will trigger the layer covering the embryo to produce enzymes needed to break down the endosperm and release the nutrients that are stored there. Those nutrients will be used by the embryo for growth. Hormones are chemical substances that help and regulate plant growth and aid in seed germination (Gutzler and Brewer 2013). There are seven different types of plant hormones and they all trigger specific reactions. One of the first hormones discovered in plants was Auxin. • 22. The Interplay Between Human Laws And Divine Law In... Sophocles Antigone focuses on the interplay between human laws and divine laws. Although the divines do not directly appear in the play, their rules strongly affect characters behaviors. Although the actions of the characters as well as the conclusion of the play demonstrate deities superior status to humans, the divine is unable to assume certain roles in the human world. The play s first stasimon, also known as the Ode to Man , is one of the most obvious clues that the divine is superior to humans. The stasimon describes the wondrous power of human beings while stresses that only if we honor the laws and the oath bound justice of the gods (370), can we be successful. In the case of human refusing to respect the gods, our special status would fall. The play starts with Antigone, late king Oedipus s daughter, agonizing to her sister Ismene over the death of her brothers Polynices and Eteocles, who die over a bloody conflict over Oedipus succession. In her agony, Antigone describes the bloody civil war as the final penalty to Zeus for Oedipus (3). Zeus, according to Antigone, is the master behind Oedipus s downfall and the plague against her family. Since Eteocles was the ruler of the city, and Polynices rebelled, Creon, the new king, decrees that no one shall bury Polynices. Creon justifies his decisions based on the chorus s statement that chance and the gods make him king (157) as well as the consideration that the decision would bring stability. Creon also claims that as long as he remains reverent to Zeus (304), his words will carry absolute authority. Loving her brother, Antigone, however, decides to go against Creon s decree and bury her brother. She calls not burying Polynices an insult to what the gods believe everyone deserves a proper burial. Soon, a watchman captures Antigone and brings her in front of Creon for questioning (432 440). Antigone justifies her argument against Creon s decree by arguing that Polynices deserves a proper burial like anyone else does since it was the intention of Hades, the god of the underworld. She believes Creon, a human being, cannot make laws with enough power to trample the gods unfailing, unwritten laws (456 457). Antigone s argument leaves ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Blood Spatter Analysis and Interpretation Moving forward to questions of blood spatter interpretation, historically a subjective area of practice, the work of Trombka et al. (2002) sheds important light on how computerized analysis can now lead to the automation of many elements of blood spatter analysis. This is incredibly beneficial, for this particular CSI technique, because of the fact that computerized analysis brings about the type of parsimony, associated with rigorous hard sciences, which increases a discipline s credibility in a court of law. Indeed, and because computerized spatter analysis will inevitably bring about greater reliability in spatter analysis, inasmuch as cases will now be analyzed in identical ways by different analysts, the discipline s probative relevance to court cases is likely to be increased dramatically. In a similar vein, Raul et al. (2005) argue that, in conceptualizing of the gunshot, we must make assumptions regarding its blood effects on the basis of trajectory and other elements. In Book One of the Persian Expedition, Clearchus, a general of Cyrus, handles a potential mutiny from the Greek mercenary soldiers when they become suspicious of Cyrus s motives. At first Clearchus tried to force his own soldiers to go forward, but they threw stones at him and at his baggage animals as soon as they attempted to make a start. Clearchus was very nearly stoned to death on this occasion (Warner 65). Realizing that force was not going to work, he appeals to the method of rhetoric by making a speech and having two of his men deliver a pre constructed speech. He coyly feigns loyalty to the soldiers while he simultaneously makes it seem that going against Cyrus would be impossible. Although still suspicious, the soldiers reluctantly decide to go with and fight for Cyrus. This scene depicts rhetoric overcoming brute force in the promotion of violence. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Buchholzes use data skillfully to show the downfall of the young person. The authors extend the comparisons using descriptions and adjectives. The past generation of youths was made up of go getters eager to hit the road and find freedom ; they were even the inspiration for Bruce Springsteen s vivacious album, Born to Run. The authors claim that today s youths are far from that, holding nothing back as they describe the young people of this generation. Risk averse and sedentary, they don t bother to get their driver s licenses, are satisfied to be at home browsing Facebook, and put too much faith in luck than effort. In other words, Generation Y has become Generation Why Bother. The authors appeal to the audience s sense of patriotism, stating that American is a nation of movers and shakers and enumerating the accounts of bravery shown by the youths of previous generations, images that are admittedly different from the image they have crafted of the modern young person. The praises and favorable descriptions that the authors lavish upon previous generations of youths contrast sharply with the lackluster and borderline insulting descriptions of today s young adults. In the following essay I will analyse the key reasons for the failure of Oslo, namely the constructive ambiguity of the terms themselves and how this contributed to creating conflicting misconceptions regarding the final settlement, the lack of an explicit commitment to the two state solution as the end point of the negotiations and finally the gradualist structure for the peace ... Israel capitalised upon this ambiguity through its settlement expansion programme, to them, a provision merely implied could not be relied upon, especially as there were no provisions for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories, even as a final status issue. To the Palestinians this was indicative of Israel s inability to take a decision that would recognize these as Palestinian territories , even if the Israelis claimed this was a matter of interpreting the terms as only applying to the legal status of the occupied territories rather than to the demographic and geographic status quo. The first and most obvious difference is the way the two women are killed. Both women are killed by a lower class then themselves. My Last Duchess an assassin is hired by the Duke. Porphyria s lover killed Porphyria. Porphyria s lover killed her out of passion because of his love for her. The Duke had the Duchess killed because he could not lose control, and lose his male dominancy herself be lessoned so, nor plainly set her wits to yours. He can not risk talking to her incase she rebels against him. He is extremely cold hearted and instead of talking he just hires someone to kill her. • 37. Analysis Of Rules Of Attraction By Bret Easton Ellis The Lack of an Identity Drug dealer, suicidal, cynical, and promiscuous. These are some of the adjectives that can describe the recurring character Sean in the book Rules of Attraction written by Bret Easton Ellis. Keeping in mind Sean s characteristics, readers can firmly assure that Sean develops an attraction to Lauren, one of the other main characters in the novel. However, over the course of the novel, Sean tells some remarks about having sex with women. From his own narration of the story, the reader cannot imagine that he also dates men. Paul, one of the other main narrators, brings in question Sean s heterosexuality by stating that he is involved in a sexual relationship with Sean. Sean does not regard those encounters whatsoever, which may lead the readers to believe his mental silence about sex with Paul reveal a hidden area in Sean s life. Sean describes his sexual encounters with women, but he omits his encounters with Sean. Instead of telling his version of the story, he recalls past experiences with other women. Additionally, he seems to be obsessed about sexually pleasing women, and despite his assertion of loving Laura, certain attitudes show the opposite. Therefore, Sean s omission of his sex encounters with Paul, his remarks of about sex with women, and his false love for Lauren reveal that this character is denying his real identity. Even though Sean does not corroborate what Paul says about their sexual encounters, Paul version of the story is more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of his career progressed without any interruption. This clearly shows the passion and dedication Keaton had for films. He was famous for his physical comedy. He was willing to sacrifice his own safety for the sake of the film. The wide range of emotions he used was simply outstanding and stunning. No one could take anything away from Keaton. He thought, produced and wrote his own gags. He was also interested in depicting influencing incidents like he did in The General. This film, depicting scenes of the Civil War, is arguably the best comedy film ever made. His use of parody in multiple films represents his genius and his flexibility. • 42. Home Message For Children And Parents A key take home message is that preschool children (ages 3 4) need to engage in 60 minutes of physical activity a day, in order to enhance their health and well being (Gabbard Rodrigues, 2008; Canada Sport for Life, 2005; Oliver et al., 2007). However, this message is more aimed at the parents of preschool children, because it is their responsibility to ensure that their child is participating in an adequate amount of exercise (Klesges et al., 1990). Parents have demonstrated a positive correlation to the physical activity of their children (Klesges et al., 1990). Therefore, those parents that provide their children with a lack of encouragement, will notice decreased physical activity among their children (Klesges et al., 1990). Consequently, parents need to support their children to engage in 60 minutes of physical activity a day, in order to improve their health. This is an important message for children and parents, as it aims to enhance the well being and health of preschool aged children (Oliver et al., 2007). Participating in regular physical activity improves bone health, aerobic fitness, and it is beneficial for the development of fundamental motor skills (Oliver et al., 2007). Bone health is increased due to physical activity, because exercise provides bones with more strength. This is important because as you get old your bones weaken, however if you begin exercising during preschool years, you have a higher chance of making physical activity a habit, which will ... • 43. Budget Is Important For An Organization Budget Knowing what resources are available is important for an organization to function. The organization runs the risk of depleting resources or not using their resources effectively to accomplish the organizations mission if resources are not accounted for. According to Dr. Dean s PowerPoint, budgeting is the administrative activity of planning that determines what resources are needed and how they should be supplied/applied. It should be noted that a budget is a planning tool. According to Robert Welch, the administrative activity of budget was listed last of the seven elements that made up the process of planning, he proposes his reasoning, For if planners seek the mind of God in establishing their objectives and the parameters...then money will not be a problem because God will empower that which He wants done in the church or religious organization (Welch, 167). It is wise for a church to develop a budget, thereby ensuring that they are being good stewards of their resources. There are three basic budgets to operate by. The government and military use a zero based budget. Every year the budget starts at zero. Each budget unit must be justified for the next year. The key advantage to this system is that each budget unit is reviewed and analyzed every year (welch, 168). This allows the organization to determine if more or less resources should be requested in regard to the budget item. It also allows the organization to assess the need for the budget unit. ... • 45. I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak Markus Zusak s I Am the Messenger Many issues can influence the development of an author s novel. Maybe the author wants to focus on historical matters, and place historical references into their novel. Maybe social concerns are the topic in their novel. Or maybe the author intends for their novel to be a political work. Regardless of what sort of influence they consider placing into their novel, all authors do tend to allow one thing to influence their writing, their own personalities and personal knowledge. Creating a novel comes from within an author s personality and experiences and naturally forms their story. Biographical influence is noticeable in the character of Ed as in Markus Zusak s I Am the Messenger. The location in which someone grew up and got an education often has a massive impact on how that person develops. Where you are dictates who your friends are, what school you attend, what job you get, and even who you might marry. Zusak grew up in Australia and still lives there currently. Though I Am the Messenger is not directly stated to take place in Australia, Zusak made quite clear during an interview that took place between him and the blog Yapping About Young Adult. In this interview, Zusak states that I Am the Messenger is very Australian . . . Australians like to argue with each other, usually in a friendly sort of way ( Interview With Author Markus Zusak, n.p.).
