What makes a good Storefront???
• Your page's cover photo/video is easily its most
important image on Facebook. It’s the first thing fans
(and other users) see in the news feed when you
communicate with them.
• Your website’s Home Page (landing page) is the most
important on a website.
• A boring page will not encourage visitors to stay. An
exciting, vibrant photo or video up front, will.
• Engaging photos or videos that tell stories are the
currency of online communication.

• 80% of Facebook pages can now add a video as their
cover image.
• Look top left in your current image. If you see a small
video camera and “Change Cover” when you drop
down you’ll see the video option.
• Videos can be from 20-90 seconds in length.
• Make sure that it’s exciting – at a project, not just a
line-up of members.

• The days of Rotary being the best kept secret in
the community are long gone. As a community
organization, if your club can’t be easily found, you are
not in the game.
• However, if people eventually find you only to be
confronted by a website that is confusing, cluttered,
built using dated technology, has poor design, is hard to
navigate, has stale dated information and provides little
relevant information, your site will make a negative
impression.
• Positive first impressions are everything in our
fast paced world.

building relationships with the community and potential
Rotarians.
• If your website is dynamic, engaging, loads quickly, is
easy to navigate and clearly provides meaningful

experts in our club!
There are several options now for do it yourself sites that
don’t require a lot of expertise.
This is one example of the options available. Search for
other companies who take the stress out of web design
and hosting.

  • 3. TITLE | 3 STOREFRONTS • Website home page • Facebook page • Twitter • Vimeo • YouTube • Instagram • Linked-In ….. etc They ALL have a Storefront
  • 4. TITLE | 4 STOREFRONTS What makes a good Storefront??? • Your page's cover photo/video is easily its most important image on Facebook. It’s the first thing fans (and other users) see in the news feed when you communicate with them. • Your website’s Home Page (landing page) is the most important on a website. • A boring page will not encourage visitors to stay. An exciting, vibrant photo or video up front, will. • Engaging photos or videos that tell stories are the currency of online communication.

If you see a small video camera and “Change Cover” when you drop down you’ll see the video option. • Videos can be from 20-90 seconds in length. • Make sure that it’s exciting – at a project, not just a line-up of members.

  • 10. TITLE | 1 0 STOREFRONTS - Websites • The days of Rotary being the best kept secret in the community are long gone. As a community organization, if your club can’t be easily found, you are not in the game. • However, if people eventually find you only to be confronted by a website that is confusing, cluttered, built using dated technology, has poor design, is hard to navigate, has stale dated information and provides little relevant information, your site will make a negative impression. • Positive first impressions are everything in our fast paced world.

TITLE | 1 1 STOREFRONTS - Websites • Dynamic and Responsive • Positive engagement can be the beginning place for building relationships with the community and potential Rotarians. • If your website is dynamic, engaging, loads quickly, is easy to navigate and clearly provides meaningful information about your club, chances are visitors will want to learn more about your brand.

There are several options now for do it yourself sites that don’t require a lot of expertise. This is one example of the options available. Search for other companies who take the stress out of web design and hosting.
