Clinical radiology uses medical imaging techniques like X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds to diagnose and sometimes treat diseases and injuries. A radiology team includes radiographers who perform procedures and radiologists who interpret images. Modalities include nuclear scans, X-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans. Before any procedure, the radiographer must prepare the patient and equipment, ensure radiation safety, and position the patient correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

2. Introduction---
Clinical radiology is a specialised branch of
medical procedure that uses state of the art
equipment and a range of techniques to capture
images of the inside of the body.
The team consists of trained radiographers
,radiologists to perform and interpret medical
images to diagnose and sometimes treat injuries
and diseases of all parts of the body.

3. Modalities of Clinical Radiology
• Nuclear Scans Such as bone scans, thyroid scans and PET
CT scans.
• Xray plain and special studies of structure in 2D form.
• Fluoroscopy – a continuous X-ray similar to an ‘X-ray
movie’.
• USG- Studies with Sound waves.
• MRI - Studies with RF pulse in 3D view.
• CT scan-3D study of anatomy in form of slices.
• Interventional Radiology -studies where radiologists
treat abscesses, pain conditions, blocked arteries and
tumours using images obtained by fluoroscopy, CT,
ultrasound and MRI.
