Banyak kendala dalam penjualan dikarenakan oleh sebab yang sangat simple. Umumnya para
tenaga penjual hanya memikirkan “What to SAY” ketika mereka akan berhadapan dengan calon
pelanggan. Walhasil, dengan mental persiapan seprti itu, sudah dapat dipastikan, apapun
response dari calon pembeli tidak ada dalam agenda persiapan para tenaga penjual. Gugup,
Panik, Bingung, Takut, Kaget, dll, adalah merupakan response yang sangat umum. Bahkan
mereka sulit dan tidak mampu membedakan antara KEBERATAN dan PENOLAKAN secara
mendasar. Menurut beberapa pendapat umum, mengatakan bahwa sales merupakan masalah
statistik. Apakah maksud dari ungkapan tersebut? Dan bagaimana memiliki semangat, motivasi,
skill dan will untuk dapat mencapai performa dan kinerja yang sesuai target.
Apakah pola kebiasaan “What to SAY” sebagai persiapan sebelum bertemu calon pelanggan
masih bisa dilakukan dan dikerjakan oleh sales saat ini?
Ada beberapa pelanggan yang sangat mengutamakan kehangat dalam berhubungan, ada pula
yang ingin jaga jarak atau bahkan ada yang dingin dan selalu membatasi pembicaraan dan
hubungan. Sering juga ditemui calon pelanggan yang menyukai detail, tetapi sering juga
dijumpai yang hanya butuh global. Semua kondisi tersebut apakah masih bisa terjawab dengan
persiapan “What to SAY”. Bagaimana mengembangkan dan mengethui kebutuhan dan keinginan
calon pelanggan. Apa yang harus dilakukan jika calon pelanggan mengatakan “NO”? Tetapi
apakah jawaban “YES” selalu berujung kepada pembelian?
Hal-hal tersebut yang harus diatasi dengan pendekatan “Relationship Selling”. Bagaimana Anda
mengenal Customer Anda dan kepada karakter pelanggan yang mana Anda harus menyesuaikan
sikap seperti apa.
HOW DOES IT WORKS ?
Menciptakan situasi dan kondisi penjualan yang berorientasi kepada pelanggan. Dan mengatasi
gugup dan kebingungan awal ketika tenaga penjualakan menemui, berkomunikasi dan
bernegosiasi kepada masing-masing karakter khusus mereka

Experience
Alfa is a Sales Performance & Quality Management consultant and Training Facilitator with more
than 20-years experience in sales area, specially in Banking Industry (BCA, LippoBank, Danamon,
CIMB Niaga). His in-depth experience in the field has made her a valuable leader of Sales &
Service Performance Improvement Project Teams, Sales Coach and Trainer.
He started his career at Komselindo-Komunikasi Selular Indonesia (TeleCommunication
Company) with last position as a Sales Area Coordinator. Then he moved out to Banking
Industry starting with Credit Card Sales Officer at PT. BCA, Tbk in 2001, his excellent
performance has rewarded him a promotion to a Marketing Communication Officer for
Consumer Division in the next two years.
Since his passion was in sales, he took the opportunity to be a Consumer Liabilities & Telesales
Manager at LippoBank.Then in the next three years, he moved out to a higher position as a
Telesales Program & Project Management Manager at Bank Danamon.
He ended Banking Industry carrier at PT. Bank CIMB Niaga, Tbk with the latest position as a
National Division Head – Direct Sales Funding. Now he is a facilitator with delivering talented
and good performance especially at technical & hard competencies in Sales.

Selling with Empathy/Alfa Maulana, MBA/Assc Trainer James Gwee Page 1 Relationship Selling (Advanced) Fasilitator : Alfa Maulana, S.Sos., MBA ABOUT THE PROGRAM “Penjualan merupakan proses yang sangat mengaitkan dan tergantung kepada emosi calon pembeli – Mereka tidak akan membeli sampai mereka terpikat secara emosi – Mereka berbeda secara Emosi” - James Gwee Banyak kendala dalam penjualan dikarenakan oleh sebab yang sangat simple. Umumnya para tenaga penjual hanya memikirkan “What to SAY” ketika mereka akan berhadapan dengan calon pelanggan. Walhasil, dengan mental persiapan seprti itu, sudah dapat dipastikan, apapun response dari calon pembeli tidak ada dalam agenda persiapan para tenaga penjual. Gugup, Panik, Bingung, Takut, Kaget, dll, adalah merupakan response yang sangat umum. Bahkan mereka sulit dan tidak mampu membedakan antara KEBERATAN dan PENOLAKAN secara mendasar. Menurut beberapa pendapat umum, mengatakan bahwa sales merupakan masalah statistik. Apakah maksud dari ungkapan tersebut? Dan bagaimana memiliki semangat, motivasi, skill dan will untuk dapat mencapai performa dan kinerja yang sesuai target. Apakah pola kebiasaan “What to SAY” sebagai persiapan sebelum bertemu calon pelanggan masih bisa dilakukan dan dikerjakan oleh sales saat ini? Ada beberapa pelanggan yang sangat mengutamakan kehangat dalam berhubungan, ada pula yang ingin jaga jarak atau bahkan ada yang dingin dan selalu membatasi pembicaraan dan hubungan. Sering juga ditemui calon pelanggan yang menyukai detail, tetapi sering juga dijumpai yang hanya butuh global. Semua kondisi tersebut apakah masih bisa terjawab dengan persiapan “What to SAY”. Bagaimana mengembangkan dan mengethui kebutuhan dan keinginan calon pelanggan. Apa yang harus dilakukan jika calon pelanggan mengatakan “NO”? Tetapi apakah jawaban “YES” selalu berujung kepada pembelian? Hal-hal tersebut yang harus diatasi dengan pendekatan “Relationship Selling”. Bagaimana Anda mengenal Customer Anda dan kepada karakter pelanggan yang mana Anda harus menyesuaikan sikap seperti apa. HOW DOES IT WORKS ? Menciptakan situasi dan kondisi penjualan yang berorientasi kepada pelanggan. Dan mengatasi gugup dan kebingungan awal ketika tenaga penjualakan menemui, berkomunikasi dan bernegosiasi kepada masing-masing karakter khusus mereka
