WHAT IS REFLECTIVE TEACHING?
 Reflective teaching… implies a more systematic process of collecting,
recording and analysing our thoughts and observations, as well as those of
our students, and then going on to making changes.

Teacher Diary
• To write a notebook after each class of class events.
Peer Observation
• Invite a colleague to class and discuss their notes of your performance later.
Recording Lessons
• Record your lessons and analyze your performance later on.
Student’s Feedback
• Ask your students to provide their own opinion about the activities and your own performance either by
discussion or a short survey.
Gathering
Information
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
 Reflect on your class performance and your teaching techniques by
asking yourself questions.
 Read your notes and your colleagues notes.
 Discuss your performance with your colleagues and your class.
 Write your new plan and your new strategies to improve your
performance.
CONCLUSION
 Reflective teaching is a process of thinking of your own
performance and learners’ performance making sure to improve
your own ideas.

Reflective Teaching

WHAT IS REFLECTIVE TEACHING?  Reflective teaching… implies a more systematic process of collecting, recording and analysing our thoughts and observations, as well as those of our students, and then going on to making changes.   • 3. Teacher Diary • To write a notebook after each class of class events. Peer Observation • Invite a colleague to class and discuss their notes of your performance later. Recording Lessons • Record your lessons and analyze your performance later on. Student’s Feedback • Ask your students to provide their own opinion about the activities and your own performance either by discussion or a short survey. Gathering Information
  • 4. WHAT TO DO NEXT?  Reflect on your class performance and your teaching techniques by asking yourself questions.  Read your notes and your colleagues notes.  Discuss your performance with your colleagues and your class.  Write your new plan and your new strategies to improve your performance.
  • 5. CONCLUSION  Reflective teaching is a process of thinking of your own performance and learners’ performance making sure to improve your own ideas.
