Reflective Teaching
•Is a process where teacher think over
their teaching practices, analyzing how
Something Was taught and how
practice might be improved or changed
For better learning outcomes.
Reflective Teaching
•Dewey believed that teachers
should take time to reflect on
Observation
Knowledge
Experience
So that they can effectively nurture
each child’s learning.
Reflective Teacher
•A person who transcends the
technicalities of teaching and think
beyond need to improve his/her
instructional techniques.
•A person who review, reconstruct,
reenact and critically analyze their own
and their students performance.
Why need to be a reflective teacher?
•By reflecting upon his own teaching, the
teacher is able to identify the defects in his
teaching and make improvements in it.
•It also helps him to understand the ‘hard
spots’ faced by the students and offer
remedial help.

experience or record some
specific teaching events,
and your feelings about
them on a periodical basis.

can help you to know what

the learning of the students.

•Use of video-recorded

professional development.
•Viewing videos on their
own is not sufficient; they
must be accompanied by
guidance and training.
