Automatic Railway Gate Control System Using Androidijtsrd
The project is designed to control over the railway level crossing gate using Android mobile phone by the gate keeper. Opening and closing of railway level crossing gate involves manpower, which could be often causes incorrect leading to accidents. This system prevents the need of any human involvement at the railway level crossing. This system involves opening and closing of the level crossing gate by using an Android app. This Remote operation is achieved by any smart-phone Tablet etc., with Android OS, upon a Graphical User Interface based touch screen operation. A Bluetooth device is interfaced with the system. When the gate keeper sent command to close from the Android application device when the train is approaching at the level crossing to the Bluetooth device which while supply to the microcontroller, sends an output signal which activates a mechanism to switch on the motor to close the gate. To open the gate, another command needs to be sent for the microcontroller to open the gate using motor driver integrated circuit. In this project we use a microcontroller of 8051 families, and the input to its Bluetooth device which takes command from the user Android application. The output to microcontroller is given to a motor by using a motor driver integrated circuit for some required operation. A smart traffic management is a wide topic of research. Many modifications can be made to make the urban traffic flow smoothly on the roads. The increasing utilization of private vehicles and public transportation due to advancement of technology causes hectic traffic complexities for the civilians across the globe. The problem of traffic congestion is an everyday problem for human resource and therefore hinders the growth of the country by affecting its productivity as well as economy. Moreover, the traffic signaling systems have predetermined fixed operational time which fails to manage the traffic density changing with time and thus, long traffic queues are formed at the road crossings resulting in increased pollution and waiting time. In this paper, we tried to provide solution to reduce the waiting time at road crossings while keeping in mind the importance of time of the citizens as well as the emergency service providers (such as EMS i.e. Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue Services, etc.). The presented system in this paper is based on smart traffic congestion control system that will automatically set the signal time based on the measured values of vehicle density on road lanes. However, the manual changes can also be made to traffic signals for efficient traffic management in case of emergencies. This paper presents an idea of traffic management using internet of things (IOT). The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a system of internet-connected objects that are able to collect and transfer data over a wireless network without human intervention. This technology provides an effective communication between different signals and helps in collection of data thereby providing an IoT based smart traffic management system in terms of its automated tracking, monitoring and controlling of vehicles and its data processing.

avoid this we are going to design the automated engine model. In this design the engine should be automated and
it is connected to the RF Rays. The automation techniques are based on two nodes, Track side node and Station
side node. The proposed scheme has been modelled for Automation Engines in the Indian railway networks
alone.

Abstract
The project is to make a prototype which shows a successful implementation of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) CAN bus monitor for use in a traffic signal where a traffic junction (node) can operate in three modes namely, normal mode, priority mode, the ambulance mode and also to develop an Android application to make a traffic density in each node available to the user. The traffic density along the roads are sensed using an array of IR sensor’s interruption, connecting sensors to the traffic signal controller. The CAN bus is used for the communication between Traffic signal controller (nodes). In priority mode, giving priority to the most populated side of the road and in ambulance mode, paving way for the emerging ambulance resetting the current side according to the instruction sent to the controller from the main server via GSM module (in ambulance) according to the GPS co-ordinates of the ambulance marked by the main server to the path of the hospital. The traffic densities are periodically updated in the main server. The Android application is developed from the information in the main server, to make it available to the user. COLLISION PREVENTION
Here this system will work between the train to train.
We will placed the frequency sending and receiving module on the trains.
We will provide the specific frequency (ex-103.3) on which the whole Indian
Railways Work.
Each of the train will send the specific message in the that frequency as per the
track (ex-MTR.AGR.B.1.Rajdhani Express).
Now the receiver module receives the signal and sender module will send the
signal s than if the signal (message )are different than there is no problem but if
there is same message than the alarm will ring.
Range is kept as 1.5 km as we can say that the transferring module creates an
aura around it.
7. OVER SPEED PREVENTION
We will place the receiving and sending modules with rate of
strength (of signals) determiners in side by to the track .
That will analysis the speed of train or wagon .

10. WIRELESS ELECTRICITY TRANSMISION CIRCUIT
It is the circuit which transfers the electricity without wires (air
as medium)
Here we place these WTC side by to the track.
Range is kept about 2-3 m
They will work on the principle of mutual induction.
11. TIMER CIRCUIT and WEIGHT SWITCH
For understanding this lets take the example of door bell
as once the switch of door bell is pressed door bell stars
ringing for certain time limit as the tune in it completes .
So here the switch of door bell is weight switch and door
bell it self as the timer circuit .
So timer circuit is the type of circuit which will works as
the switch as will activates the whole circuit for a certain
time limit (as per the set value in it )
But the problem is the that the every wheel of train will
presses the weight switch so for this the timer circuit has
the feature that once the weight switch is pressed than it
activates the timer circuit for certain time limit and in that
time limit there will be no further effect on timer circuit
by weight switch .
12. Concept This system is proposed on track instead of trains.
First train will passes from the weight switch and the weight switch
will activate the timer circuit which passes the current for certain
time (as per our set value in it ) as now this current will goes to and
gate of two input here this become the first input for the and gate
Now the output wire of AND GATE is been connected with the
Transmitter of wireless electricity transmission circuit
Here second Input for AND GATE will comes from the same circuit
placed after 2km distance.
For maintaining connectivity of train with wireless transmission
circuit (WTC) this WTC is placed at every after 500 m.
Here signals are in the form of Electricity .

16. Concept
Here we will places the Bluetooth module at every 500 on the track
and the weight switches on the two ends of track .
In case if the track is long than we places this system in 2 km (with 4
Bluetooth modules ) .
We connects the Bluetooth modules and weight switches to a single
microcontroller .
At diversion we change the microcontroller unit
In microcontroller we code like (if we use Ardiuino Board -)
(FOR UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE ONLY)

module but the receiving module will we placed on the trains with alarm.

possible ........................................... if both weight switch will be
pressed and this is only possible....................................... when two
train will come on same track .
And when the sender module will be activated than the receiver module will
receive the signals and alarm will ring.

every speed of train will pass over it but at certain maximum speed train not
passes in that time limit and train will pressed the second weight switch and
all the Bluetooth modules will gets activate and send signal to the train .

As for effective working and security at Railway Stations , we have
designed this concept.
Here we are centralizing or we can say that combing some of pre-
exiting systems and adding some of new systems.

Here we will create the Wifi network at station and also develop MY

CCTV system means to say that as all of the CCTV camera paced at
station will be connected to some DVR’s and we will connects these
DVR’s to CENTRAL SYSTEM by the means of cable . So that the
CENTRAL SYSTEM has footage of each and every CCTV camera.
In SANITARY SYSTEM we will provide the sanitary person smart
phones and install OUR PLATFORM APP in that app they will logi
n by their respective id’s and than we will connect the phone to
CENTRAL SYSTEM through MY PLATFORM NETWORK (station WiFi)
and after that they will gets the task(work that have do) by the
CENTRAL SYSTEM . And they can also upload the status of work as
well as report any problem . Moreover sanitary person will also gets
ratting through app. Here the is like OLA app .

25. Concept -
Here we have made a device which will sense the photograph as
it will scan faces of the person entering in railway station .
And this device is having the database which can be updated by
CENTRAL SYSTEM here this database consists photograph of the
criminals and restricted person.
Here in this if the person entering in the station is not in data
base than there will be no reaction of device but in case of
matching of any face than the alarm will ring in device and
CENTRAL SYSTEM will gets the message of presence that
particular in station.
By this crime at station will be reduced but
moreover to it Criminals can not travel by
the means of train.
27. Concept -
COP SYSTEM are like the force as each COP will get a smart phone with application (OUR
PLATFORM APP ) which connects them with CENTRAL SYSTEM , here app will current
location of the cop to the CENTRAL SYSTEM .
CENTRAL SYSTEM will assign the area of the station with access to the respective CCTV
cameras of that area .
More over to it the CENTRAL SYSTEM can also assign tasks to the cops as in case of
Criminal detection by the Photo Detection System than CENTRAL SYSTEM will send the
location of device where the criminal has been detected to the COP App
Here by Application COPs can upload the status of task appointed as well as they can
also convey their problem.
On app COPS will also gets Rating as per their work.
Fitness Bands are also give to COPs and report will send to CENTRAL SYSTEM by app. It
can test Walking Steps, Calories Burnt and Sleep Quality so by this efficiency of their
work and according to it ratings will be assign to them.
29. Concept -
INFORMATION SERVERS
It means to say that the collection of information system as for example –
Station Map
Trains Timing Information
Current status of ALL in 1 GPM
GENERAL PUBLIC SYSTEM
This means to say that general public will be connected to the CENTRAL SYSTEM by the
means of wireless network (Wifi) through MY PLATFORM APP by this they can give their
valuable suggestions .
They can also call Information Server for getting information like Station Map , Trains
Timing Information, Current status of ALL in 1 GPM .
31. Concept -
These machines will be placed as several locations as the
railway stations
As these machines are the like combinations of every machine at
station as for example PNR Checking machine , Tickets ,
Reservation , Station Map .
33. Concept -
Here we made a device which helps to reach from low level plat forms .
It will be installed on the one of stairs of coach door .
Here we connect these devices to the Ultra sonic sensor which is placed on
the engine of the train . It detects whether there is need of these devices or
not by calculating the distance of door of coaches to the platform .
Here these devices are connected to the single microcontroller through which
Ultra Sonic sensor is connected .
