This document discusses successful project-based learning (PBL) projects and provides examples. It outlines the key characteristics of effective PBL projects: 1. PBL projects are organized around an open-ended driving question, require inquiry to create something new, and involve critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. 2. PBL projects allow for some student choice, incorporate feedback and revision, and result in a publicly presented product or performance. 3. Effective PBL projects are assessed using clear rubrics, expectations are set clearly, and feedback loops are utilized to provide frequent feedback.
