Photovoltaic generation is an efficient approach for using the solar energy. Solar powered irrigation system can be a suitable alternative for farmers in the present state of energy crisis automatic irrigation system using solar power. Around 45% of Bangladesh’s work force is employed in agriculture, which represents an important sector in the country’s economy. Farmers use irrigation pumps to ensure adequate and consistent water supply for their crops but incur substantial costs to purchase diesel fuel. Bangladesh spends $900 million per year for 1 million tons of diesel to power its irrigation systems. Solar-powered pumps are a reliable irrigation alternative for farmers as solar technology helps reduce costs, protect the environment, and lower expensive diesel fuel imports.

The performance analysis of a solar photovoltaic (PV) array based water fountain system installed at energy park of UTD RGPV campus (state university) M.P., India has been studied.
A 1hp DC motor with 900W (12 panels of each 75Wp) have been used for discharge 10m water head. The maximum discharge logged 146litre/minute between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at PV power output between 110 to 120W/m2 and the system is operating approximately 8 hours in the of September of the winter season. The full day discharge has found 70,000 liters and it is more than the average discharge given by the manufacturer at 10m depth. It is exposed that solar PV based water pumping system is a suitable and feasible option for off-grid water fountain like the area of UTD RGPV, Bhopal, where clear sky days are more than 250 in a year.

The overall upfront cost, operation and maintenance cost, and replacement of a diesel pump are 2–4 times higher

with no fuel cost . Keeping in view the shortage of grid electricity in rural and remote areas in most parts of world,
PV pumping is one of the most promising applications of solar energy. The technology is similar to any other
conventional water pumping system except that the power source is solar energy. PV water pumping is gaining
importance in recent years due to non-availability of electricity and increase in diesel prices. The flow rate of
pumped water is dependent on incident solar radiation and size of PV array. A properly designed PV system results
in significant long-term cost savings as compared to conventional pumping systems. In addition, tanks can be used
for water storage in place of requirement of batteries for electricity storage Agricultural production in developing
countries is largely dependent on rains and is adversely affected by the non availability of water in summers.
However, maximum solar radiation is available in summers as such more water can be pumped to meet increased
water requirements. Urban water supply systems are also dependent on electricity to pump water in towns. There is
a wide scope to utilize PV pumping systems for water supplies in rural, urban, community, industry and educational

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
