Teaching Stages

             Marbelis Perez.
Introduction

• English is a difficult language to learn, but
ESL Teaching Methodology is the easier way
to help students learn new language.
• PPP , is one of the most common teaching
  methodologies for ESL.
The main stages

• Presentation
• Practice
• Production
Presentation Stage

• Involves explaining the aim of the lesson
• Include that children know what they will learn
  and why.
• For a good Presentation, the teachers can
  use song, game, or story.
Practice stage

• The goal is to help the children use the new
  language.
• The teacher can ask the children to produce
sentences or answer question to demonstrate
they understand how to use the language
  correctly.
Production stage

• This stage can help motivate children to
  communicate meaning with new language.
• Children should have the opportunity to
  experiment with the language.
• Production activities include situational role-
  plays, debates, discussions, problem-solving,
  narratives, descriptions, quizzes and games.
PPP STAGES

• The general structure of PPP lesson is flexible
• An important feature is the movement from
  controlled and structured speech.
• This is simply one way to help children learn
new language in an enjoyable and effective
  way.
How to prepare a lesson in a new
way.( example)
Use creative teaching methods to present
 new lesson in the classroom:
1. Use movies: students will have an easier time
remembering important information if they can
see and hear the story in action.
Examples

2. Divide your class into small groups to prepare
a presentation.
When students have to interact with each other,
they put more effort into learning the subject
matter.
3. Allow your students to participate in role
playing.
