DNA as instructions to make certain things such as proteins, but, these instructions are in a different
language and you do not understand them, so the workers that will eventually assemble them cannot
work with them. This is where mRNA will come into play. The mRNA will provide the workers or
cells with new instructions that will be used to build the protiens. In transcription DNA is unzipped
and the enzyme RNA polymerase RNA polymerase binds to the promoter region. This starts the
unwinding of the DNA strands, and the polymerase starts RNA synthesis which runs along the
template strand of the DNA. In eukaryotic cells proteins called transcription factors bind to promoters
that include a TATA box, 25 nucleotides upstream from the start of transcription. After, more
transcription factors will bind to the DNA, together with RNA polymerase II, forming the
transcription initiation complex.

hurtful remark was made towards the child, and she was described as having a big nose and fat legs.
The second stanza also begins with the subdued tone mentioning the girls positive aspects, such as
being healthy...intelligent...strong. These specific details are usually related to the male. Once again,
the gender characteristics play as an underlying factor. These qualities were not good enough for a
woman if they were not beautiful. The stanza then takes a turn like the first turning away from the
simplicity. The girl went to and fro apologizing, while everyone still saw a fat nose on thick legs.
Society places women into the mold where they begin to put on a facade and apologize for their

Marie de France uses Yonec and Bisclavret to express the animal/human boundary in the medieval
period. In Bisclavret, Marie used the werewolf to show how animals lack reason. In Yonec, Marie uses
the hawk man to show how animal natures are correlated with the lower passions. Also in the
medieval period animals were thought to not have souls. The soul is defined as a person s moral or
emotional nature or sense of identity. This point is interesting because the body encapsulates the soul,
in a way that it hides your true identity, whether you are a human or a human who changes into an

She does this to add a dramatic element to the stories. In our minds, we subconsciously create positive
connotations to anything we deem as beautiful or good looking. But when she develops the characters
person more indeptly she reveals their negative attributes. As readers, we are caught off guard because
a person s looks are a kind of perceived identity. For instance, Bisclavret was described as a handsome
knight, but later it is revealed that he is a werewolf and for three days out the week he lives in the
deepest part of the woods and feeds off anything he can capture. Also, his wife is initially described as
worthy and attractive in appearance. However, although she doesn t transform into an animal she has a
beastly side that is later revealed in the Lais. Her inner beast is revealed when she betrays her
husband, the fear she has of her husbands condition is understandable but she fails to come to terms
with it. Instead she sells her body to a knight and convinces him to steal her husband s clothes,
knowing that would entrap him in his werewolf form. He would in turn receive her hand in married as

Analysis Of Akira Kurosawa s Seven Samurai And Yojieo...
Death leads to many emotions. It can lead to anger, sorrow, joy, realization, or more violence. The
theme of death is a common occurrence in Akira Kurosawa s 1954 film, Seven Samurai, and Yojieo
Takita s 2009 film, Departures. Each death in these films served a purpose. However, each of these
films have death constructed in their own different ways. Departures showcased a respectful way for
dealing with the deceased. Seven Samurai showed a little bit of every emotion for the deceased, but it
seemed as though the 4 samurai, the main heroes, who died were not really emphasized compared to
those who the samurai had killed.
First, let s start off with the first death in Seven Samurai. This death scene was probably the most
memorable one. It starts around 24 minutes into the film, where Kambei, the soon to be leader of the
seven samurai, is disguised as a monk and kills a thief hiding in a shack with a hostage. While the
action of killing is not shown, the thief staggers out into open view before he dies. He then collapses
in dramatic fashion while the spectating villages are in awe with what just happened. Throughout this
scene, Kurosawa plays with slow motion, emphasising the spectacular nature of this first but rather
unimportant death.
After around 25 minutes later, a similar slow motion effect is used on another death. It is when Kyuzo
cuts down a samurai who has challenged him into a duel. Once again, there is a mob of spectators in
the background all in awe and holding

How Did Washington Irving Write Rip Van Winkle
Washington Irving wrote the books The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Rip Van Winkle, and The Devil and
Tom Walker. Out of these three books my favorite one to read was Rip Van Winkle. The book Rip Van

children and women but is always fighting with his wife which causes him one day to go hunting in
