Comparing Plato Five Dialogues Euthyphro, Apology, Crito,...
When people learn to be honest to themselves and others, they can go through life being happy.
Although, it is hard sometimes for people to be happy because of issues like racism and bullying that
exist in the world. While this exist in the world some of the things that bring people the most
happiness in life is achieving a good education, treating others equally, and loving those around them.
An example of this within Plato Five Dialogues Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, Meno, Phaedo by John M.
Cooper is the following. Men of Athens, I am grateful and I am your friend, but I will obey the god
rather than you, and as long as I draw breath and am able, I shall not cease to practice philosophy, to

Similarity was the example of Fredrick Douglas when his master had figured out Fredrick was
growing with knowledge, so then he tried to keep him under his control by not allowing him to
continue to learn how to read and write.
As people in lower poverty countries are just as a slave as Fredrick Douglas was. Not being able to
receive an education that is offer to use here in the United States. The people in the United States have
the choice to receive an education if they want it. Which some people do not choose to receive a free
education. That is a dishonor to the people that are unable to have that choice of receiving an
education, but like Fredrick he would have to trick boys into teaching him how to write. He would tell
them that he could write better than they could and they would try to prove him wrong. As they were
writing he would pay attention to detail and do the exact same thing. This is how he would learn how
to write. In poverty countries they do not even have that opportunity to pretend they know the
information because everyone else around them are without an education. That is why they stay in
poverty because no one has the knowledge to improve their country and make it a better place to live
in. This is why an education is so important to societies.
The next big truth to happiness is for people to be able to love themselves or

Conquest And The Conquest Of Land
Conquest is one simple little word with tremendously rich background and history. Conquest in short
is defined to gain a victory over. Conquest has lead to the beginnings of new lands and has created the
end of an old. Many different interactions between groups of people and their lands have occurred
throughout history that ultimately lead into the conquest of land. First and foremost before interactions
occurred there was reasoning behind conquests. The root of conquest can be narrowed down into three
categories. These categories are God, glory, and gold. Religions that are big on conversion looked
upon conquest as an opportunity to gain more believers, therefore pleasing their god more. Glory was
as simple as glory for the homeland to claim increased land. Lastly, just like today humans wanted
riches. Striking gold meant just that, becoming rich. Along with each conquest brought upon many
different interactions and consequences from those interactions. These interactions are what set up the
foundation of nations relationships. Starting with the background of conquest before the two types of
interactions. The Spanish main religion in the fifteenth to sixteenth centuries was Catholic. As
members of the Catholic faith, the Spanish felt as though it was there right to explore new lands as
long as that meant converting the natives from their previous religious views to the beliefs of
Catholicism. As Hernán Cortés tore through the Aztec Empire, he was following a letter of

Essay on Crew Resource Management (Aviation)
In this day Crew Resource Management (CRM) is strongly evident within the aviation industry.
Having developed a positive reputation over the years of its application, it is highly recognised as an
icon for safety practices among many major operators. Airline operators and wider aviation industries
adopt CRM, on a global scale, to attain the desired goal of influencing flight crew members to operate
more safely and effectively as one co operative unit (rather than as individuals). The positive
application of crew resource management envisages minimised risks and consequently, safer skies for
all. One common definition of CRM can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fifty seconds after reaching their assigned altitude, Captain Loft required First Officer Stockstill s
assistance in removing the nose wheel indicator light assembly to investigate the likeliness of a blown
light bulb and hence, instructed him to engage the autopilot at 2000 feet. For the next eighty seconds
the plane maintained level flight. Then it dropped one hundred feet (30 m), and then again flew level
for two more minutes, after which it began a descent so gradual it could not be perceived by the crew.
In the next seventy seconds, the plane lost only 250 feet (76 m), but this was enough to trigger the
altitude warning C chord chime located under the engineer s workstation. The engineer (or Second
Officer) had gone below deck following Loft s instructions, and there was no indication by the pilot s
voices recorded on the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) that the warning chime was acknowledged. In
another fifty seconds, the plane was at half its assigned altitude. The CVR recorded the last few
moments of conversation between the crew, acknowledging the change in altitude: Stockstill: We did
something to the altitude. Loft: What? Stockstill: We re still at 2,000 feet, right? Loft: Hey what s
happening here? (NTSB, 1973) Official observations find a probable cause of this accident to be the
insufficiencies of flight crew to properly monitor flight instruments

Bank Of The New Edition Of Macbeth
In the political cartoon called by the name of New edition of Macbeth. Bank oh s Ghost a very ghastly
scene was unfolding. The primary context for the painting itself was the Panic of 1837 that occurred
just as Andrew Jackson was leaving office in 1836, leaving the venerable Martin Van Buren to fend
for himself in a mess not of his own doing. The Panic of 1837 was a consequence of many factors
sprawling from Jackson s election in 1828 to 1836. The first of these factors was the bank war
between the Jackson administration and the 2nd national bank of the United States created by the
market revolution in 1816. The bank symbolized the hopes and fears inspired by the market
revolution. The expansion of banking helped to finance the nation s economic development. But many
Americans, including Jackson, distrusted bankers as non producers who contributed nothing to the
nation s wealth but profited from the labor of others. The tendency of banks to over issue paper
money, whose deterioration in value reduced the real income of wage earners, reinforced this
conviction. Jackson himself had long believed the hard money gold and silver was the only honest
currency. Nonetheless, when he assumed office there was little reason to believe that the Bank War
would become the major event of his presidency.1 Page 388 of Give Me Liberty The Bank War and its

Becoming Vegan Or Go Home ! By Sarah Breslaw
The Source of Veganism Finding a solution to sustain our environment has long been debated. In the
essay Go
Vegan or Go Home! , Sarah Breslaw asserts veganism as the answer to curbing environmental
concerns. Breslaw makes a clear argument in her thesis and explains both negative and positive
aspects of veganism but ultimately succumbs to logical fallacies, faulty sourcing and evident
subjectivity which weaken her claim. Sarah Breslaw is a student at the University of California, Santa
Barbara and has been a vegetarian for the past four years. Her personal nutrition habits and values can
be attributed to her favorable stance towards plant based diets. The essay s context is set in the middle
of the rising veganism fads popularized by celebrities and mainstream media. As a student, Breslaw s
main audience are her fellow peers, professors and those concerned with lessening their carbon
footprint. Moreover, her thesis statement becoming vegan is the responsible choice , explicitly outlines
the purpose of the essay which provides the basis of why she believes the responsible choice to
combat negative environmental effects is to become vegan. To establish credibility, Breslaw cites
multiple sources of varying reliability.
One source she uses solidifies credibility because it is published from a scholarly journal. The
majority of her sources, however, are from sites such as, peta.org and vegan.org which have
exceedingly biased agendas. The

as Pakistan has become center of attraction for many foreign investors after CPEC.

neither the League of Nations nor the democratic countries were able or willing to stop them. British

George was the last of the thirteen other kids. His opponent stood before him, a menacing smile on his

waited, watching the artifact, the timeworn artifact that would give him power. He heard the chants of
the spectators. For them, this was just another game. A simple show to watch for their pleasure. But
not for him. For him this was his job. His life. He remembered his friends. They were gone now. He
had to win this, for them. If he won this cruel game of chance, the artifact could bring his friends back.
Finally, the match commenced. George started circling his opponent. He tripped and fell, the hard
floor opening up a gash on his knee.

The Life of Franz Ferdinand
Franz Ferdinand was the archduke of Austria Hungary. On June 28, 1914, Ferdinand and his wife,
Sophie, were visiting Sarajevo when the two were assassinated by Gavrilo Princip, a member of the
Serbian terrorist group, the Black Hand. After several failed attempts from members of the Black
Hand that day, the members were running out of hope. However, due to a communication problem
with the driver of Ferdinand and his wife s car, they were forced to turn around in an alley that Princip
was hidden in. Two shots later, the pair was dead within minutes and Austria Hungary was ready to
make Serbian s pay for what they did. Archduke Franz Ferdinand s assassination had different effects

The Serbian nationalists were not only a main cause of Franz Ferdinand s assassination but of World
War I too. The Serbian nationalists were the main cause of Franz Ferdinand s assassination and aided
in the start of World War I. After the Austria Hungary Empire annexed Bosnia Herzegovina, the
country of Serbia encouraged Serbians living there to rebel against Austria Hungarian rule in frequent
protests and civil disturbances (Pendergast 16). The Serbians began to fight for independence against
rule of Austria Hungary which led to the assassination of the Archduke of the Austria Hungary
Empire, Franz Ferdinand. The Black Hand was the terrorist group that murdered Franz Ferdinand and
his wife, Sophie. Not only was it led by Colonel Dragutin Dimitrijevic, the head of Serbian military
intelligence but Austria s Serbian ambassador is said to have known about the assassination
beforehand (Pendergast 21). Serbian s were sick of being ruled in an empire, so militant groups like
the Black Hand, wanted to untie the Slavic people in an independent pan Slavic state (Pendergast 45).
They were determined to put all the Slavic people together as a separate nationality and destroyed
people who got in their way, including Franz Ferdinand, the Archduke of the Austria Hungary Empire.
With Franz Ferdinand being the heir to the Austria Hungarian throne, the Austria Hungarian Empire
began to call for a war against the Serbians but needed allies in order to have a chance of winning.

The Importance Of Athletic Festivals In Greek Society
Greek athletics were very popular in the Greek culture. William Baker s thesis statement was For more
than a thousand years athletic festivals were an important part of Greek life. Originally mixtures of
religious ceremony and athletic competition, hundreds of local festivals were held each year
throughout the country and in Greek colonies in Egypt, Sicily, and the banks of the Bosporus. The
argument is how festivals are important to Greek Life. The article starts out with the author talking
about the four major athletic festivals, The Pythian Games, The Isthmian Games, The Nemean Games,
and the Olympic Games. By the fifth century B.C. four major festivals dominated the scene, forming a

With all their emphasis on man and his achievements, the Greeks were extremely religious.

first piece of evidence William Baker shows relates to religion and how the athletic festivals are used

arrived at the altar of Zeus, where one hundred oxen were slain and their legs burned in homage to

2. Registering Property
According to the World Bank s report Doing Business in 2007 How to Reform , Nigeria s reforms
have led to a reduction in the time required to complete the process of property registration from
274 to 80 days, but a lot still needs to be done because it takes only 1 day in some other countries such
as Norway and Singapore. We should however note that part of the reduction in time is likely as a
result of improvements in property registration which has been implemented in Abuja and in
Lagos as well. In fact the Doing Business indication of 80 days is based on a test case of property
registration in Lagos. I urge other state governments to replicate the improvements achieved in the
Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS) and Lagos State in their various states. Investors are
comfortable in environments where registration is automated and procedures are minimal, and will be
glad to invest in such places.
Automation though important, should be accompanied by changes in work culture in government
registries. The time taken to register property must be substantially reduced. The current time taken is
definitely unacceptable if we want to attract private investment.
The fees paid to register property in Nigeria are extremely high and have

Religion And Culture In Where The Gods Fly By Jean Kwork
Where the gods fly
As an immigrant it can be hard to integrate into a new country. There are new rules that you need to
follow, a new culture to fit into and a whole new life to begin. You have to choose between three
different ways of integrating into the new country: firstly, you can fully let go of your old traditions
and become a part of the new culture, secondly you can keep you own traditions and isolate yourself
from the influence from the new country, or lastly, you can mix the two cultures and take the best parts
of them. In the short story Where the gods fly written by Jean Kwork, religion and culture becomes a
huge influence on the decisions a Chinese immigrant mother takes for her daughter, which I will
analyse in the following essay. The essay will include a resume, it will deal with the story s structure
and the use of contrasts.
Where the gods fly is a short story about a Chinese immigrant family that move to New York.
The parents work at a factory in Chinatown and because they do not want to leave their daughter,
Pearl, alone, they sign her up for a ballet class. Pearl becomes extraordinary good at ballet, but
because her mother does not deem ballet as a valid future choice also including the fact that she deems
it too good for them, she has decided to make Pearl quite ballet.
The main structure of the story is not how a typical novel is build up. The short story starts in media
res with a line about how the main character is kneeling in front of the gods. This is followed by a
foreshadowing about a ballet story that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay about Interwar Avant-Garde Artwork And Its Community...
The art and life aspects of the interwar avant garde are an advanced socially trivial form of art which
to a bigger extent is symbolic of the visual setting of the human community. It is the art of
expressionism in any artistic work which greatly influence its adaptation by the target audience. It has
been evidently claimed that most artistic works of the early twentieth century have had a number of
varied themes all encompassing the political environment of the time. The interwar avant garde is a
direct expression of the modernism in a society marked with low levels of civilization. It is indeed the

It is also noted that avant grades gesture generally carries with it the notion of judgment on actions
that are considered shocking. Many modern society artworks are rarely acted without incidences of
bloody conflicts. This is particularly evidently witnessed in the warfare framed artworks. It is the art
of expressing irresponsibility and might I add chaotic revolution within a movie or a working medium
that makes the piece of art a truly unique masterpiece. It has evidently been noted that the adaptability
of any piece of art is highly reliant on the element of visual modernity rather than an expression of the
ultimate reality in the society. It is by involving exaggerative acts in a movie that assimilation of the
intended social aspect is easily realized. Artworks must be appealing to the eyes of the audience. It is
only from the visual appearance of the artwork that determines whether or not the audience will give it
a chance or not. The suspense brought in art by the use of choking notion of judgment is what keeps
the audience watching to find out what happens

Differences Between The Obedience Experiment And The...
The Milgram Obedience Study was an experiment conducted by Stanley Milgram in 1963 to observe
how far people would obey instructions that resulted in harming another individual. The experiment
consisted of a learner engaging in a memory task and a teacher testing the learner on the task,
administering electrical shocks to the learner each time an incorrect answer was given; the electric
shocks started out small from 15 volts, labeled as SLIGHT SHOCK , all the way to 450 volts, labeled
as X X X of course, that was what the participant was told. The true purpose of the experiment was
not disclosed until after the experiment and the random selection of who would be the teacher or
learner was rigged so that the participant was always the teacher and the learner was always an actor.
The shocks, naturally, were never given to the learner , and the learner gave responses that were
scripted, both in answers to the questions and in responses to the shocks. Prior the experiment,
Milgram polled fourteen Yale University psychology major seniors to predict the behaviour out of a ...

Shopping Networks And The Online Retail Community
Each day ,retailers face emerging risks that threaten the sustainability and profitability of their
companies. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online
purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of
smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact
it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. With the recent
disclosures about the enormous data breaches that occur within the online retail community it is
certain that a strong plan is needed by all companies. For example in 2014,Target, Nieman Marcus,
White Lodging, Sally Beauty, Michaels, Affinity Gaming (casinos), UPS, Home Depot and even New
York reported data breaches that involved the theft of credit or debit card information of millions of
consumers ( Hardekopf, 2015). One of the first things that must be considered is the communication
process because it is where the breakdown first begins. Having strong polices that are followed to the
letter is the beginning of setting up a risk management framework. This is especially true when you
consider that internal risk is growing as fast as external. There are three categories that risk falls into
as far as retail enterprises are concerned: hazard, business and strategic. Each must be handled in its
own unique way for it to be effective within a risk management

The Medical Experiments By The Ss ( Nazi )
The Medical Experiments By The SS (Nazi) Have you ever heard of the Nazi Party led by Adolf
Hitler, the Holocaust, or even the medical experiments of the SS? Well, get ready to learn about it.
Adolf Hitler was an anticommunist that fought for Germany in WWI. He was the leader of the Nazi s.
The Holocaust was a genocide in which Adolf Hitler s Nazi Germany and its collaborators killed
about six million Jews. The medical experiments of the SS were experiments performed by doctors on
prisoners. During World War II, a number of German physicians conducted painful and often deadly
experiments on thousands of concentration camp prisoners without their consent. Unethical medical
experimentation carried out during the Third Reich may be divided into three categories. The three
categories consisted of experiments aimed at facilitating the survival of Axis military personnel. The
second category of experimentation aimed at developing and testing pharmaceuticals and treatment
methods for injuries and illnesses which German military and occupation personnel encountered in the
field. While the third category of medical experimentation sought to advance the racial and ideological
tenets of the Nazi worldview (https://www.ushmm.org). Doctors have always been thought of as the
saviors of mankind, the healers, and caretakers of our utter existence. Even ancient civilizations
revered the medicine men as having special power to protect life. The trust of a physician is sacred.

Banning Of A College Campus
After recent increase of violence activists arose in college campus the culprit being targeted is
unregulated speech. Many campuses are forming regulations on speech codes, others choose to remain
unregulated. The decision making process is not put at ease with the first and fourteen amendment
conflicting between the citizens rights to freedom of expression, and the right to equal educational
opportunities. Is there a middle ground that allows individuals to continue their education in the
sanction of a college campuses while not infringing on others right to speech? The possibility is there
where we can decide what protected and unprotected speech is without turning the first amendment
into a tool of domination. The fourteen amendment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If they liked Bush, we made them register to vote. But not if they liked Gore (Dolgow). The same
cannot occur on a college campus, however the fear remains on how information of others can be used
or the manipulation of first amendment can be used in a college setting. The fact remains that there is
a substantial difference between a corporation and a university. Universities are meant to be a place of
learning and just like science is able to accept new theories, we should be willing to accept new ideas.
Building tolerance as a community allows us to embrace unpopular ideas. That being said, there is
very good reasons to protect offensive or unpopular speech. During the 1950 s, minority groups didn t
have the right to vote and civil rights movements sprung across the country. Voting right activists in
the South experienced various forms of mistreatment and violence. One such event on March 7, 1965,
when peaceful participants in a voting rights march from Selma, Alabama, to the state capital in
Montgomery were met by Alabama state troopers who attacked them with nightsticks, tear gas and
whips after they refused to turn back ( Voting Rights Act ). One can conclude, based on the reactions,
the decision to call in the state troopers and the state troopers attacking the protestors, that these
individuals found the protest offensive and threatening their values of white supremacy. Therefore,
should we banned offensive or popular speech solely on the fact that

Essay on The Film My Girl
The 1991 movie My Girl tells the story of 11 year old Vada Sultenfuss who, having lost her mother at
birth , lives with her dementia ridden grandmother and her job oriented father in the funeral parlour
that he owns and operates. The story follows Vada, an extreme hypochondriac who has many strange
misconceptions about death, through a variety of life changing experiences, including the engagement
of her father and the devastating loss of her best friend, Thomas Jay. Through these experiences, the
audience witnesses Vada s social, emotional, and intellectual growth, as well as her changing views of

Her father s lack of attention has also likely influences Vada s misconceptions about death; his
response to Vada s question about whether a particularly small casket is for a child is no , that it is
simply for short people. Furthermore, when
Vada feigns dying one night at dinner, her father s reaction is to ignore her rather than talk to her about
what the real issue is. Behavior such as this might be viewed as both a lack of understanding about
death as well as an attempt to get attention that is so obviously absent. Vada s father s lack of attention
to his daughter s needs is similarly illustrated in the fact that when Vada starts her period, she believes
she is haemorrhaging; he has not adequately educated her on the normal bodily changes that are
unrelated to death, nor on the subject of death itself. A related important event in this movie is the
quick engagement of Vada s father. Vada reacts to this news negatively, recruiting Thomas Jay to run
away with her, and eventually returning to find that no one has even noticed her absence which only
frustrates her further. Vada, who has never seen her father as a particularly happy person, suddenly
sees a change in his demeanor when he meets and starts dating Shelly; for Vada, this translates to her
inability to make her father happy, that she is unneeded, and that she was not

Terrace House Fire Essay
Following the tragic event of the great fire of London in 1666, the legislation regarding new buildings
in the metropolis became stricter and several laws and measures addressed fire prevention issues.
Many of these guidelines were changed several times over the years following various building acts.
Apart from the obvious benefits on fire protection, the legislation formed to a large extent the
streetscapes and vistas in the neighbourhoods of the capital and other cities in the 18th and 19th
centuries onwards. Building acts and by laws did not just deal with structural issues; on the contrary
they were often mostly focused on health and sanitation issues that were vital in the Victorian period.
Ensuring more available free spaces, decent living conditions, constructions of good quality,
ventilation and natural lighting were very significant issues that were not considered as given at the
time. Features that appear to be typical for terrace houses came as a result of different chapters in
building acts and also appear for the two case studies we will be examining in the next chapters. In

Literature Review On Hbcus
LITERATURE REVIEW Background on HBCUs According to the National Center for Educational
Statistics (NCES), there are 101 Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Title III of the Higher
Education Act of 1965 defines HBCUs as ...any historically Black college or university that was
established prior to 1964, whose principal mission was, and is, the education of Black Americans, and
that is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association determined by the
Secretary [of Education] to be a reliable authority as to the quality of training offered or is, according
to such an agency or association, making reasonable progress toward accreditation (US Department of
Education, 2017). It is important to note that unlike other Minority Serving Institutions, HBCUs, are
only one of two types of institutions (Tribal Colleges Universities or TCUs are the other) federally
designated by law and therefore, cannot increase in number with an act of Congress (Li, 2007). In
other words, every time an HBCU closes its doors, we get one step closer to the elimination of the
historical and consequential institutions. To understand the significance of these institutions one must
understand the context in which these institutions were established. In the most basic sense, HBCUs
were established because of racism (Evans, Evans, Evans, 2002). Prior to the Civil War, few
universities espoused the mission and goal of training and education Black people (Albritton, 2012).

Persuasive Essay On Animal Language
There are over 7 billion people in today s world. It would be easier if all 7 billion people spoke the

world, as people die their language dies with them. Also kids born in culturally diverse country, with
many different languages, are being taught english as opposed to their native language. They are being

languages are making efforts to preserve and even bring these endangered languages back. One of
those endangered languages is Wampanoag language spoken by natives americans throw new england.
I chose this language because I found the struggle to keep Wampanoag language alive very interesting.
I have a house on cape cod, which was once a territory of the Wampanoag tribe. This local endangered
language was all around me and I never knew what it was until I saw an interesting video in english

Transition Mechanism Of The Internet Protocol Essay
Transition mechanism is a technology that facilitates the transitioning of the Internet from the Internet
Protocol version 4 (IPv4) infrastructure
Mechanism to allow a smooth transition to the new version of the IP protocol, without the need for an
abrupt change. With this idea in mind, several of these mechanisms were created in order to facilitate
the coexistence of both versions.
During the early stages of IPv6 deployment it was believed that adoption of the new protocol would
be quick enough and that IPv6 would have gained widespread adoption before IPv4 ran out. This,
however, did not happen which is why transition mechanisms are an even more relevant topic today.
Transition mechanisms can be classified according to the different techniques they apply:
Dual stack
Tunneling
Translation
It is also possible to classify the different mechanisms based on whether they assume that the
underlying infrastructure is predominantly IPv4 or IPv6. Although in the beginning there were IPv4
networks that started gradually adding IPv6 access, as IPv4 ran out, providers started considering the
deployment of IPv6 only networks. This means that transition mechanisms are needed to allow
customers in these IPv6 only networks to access networks that still only support IPv4. Many
mechanisms have been proposed and more are currently being discussed in the IETF. The following is
a description of the most widely deployed and more mature mechanisms.
An IP address consists of 32 bits. Instead of

Limitations Of Rapid Diagnostics
Timely administration of appropriate antibiotics is essential for decreasing hospital mortality in
patients with sepsis12. Kumar et al. demonstrated that with each hour delay, there is a 7.6% decrease
in survival. Moreover, delaying appropriate antibiotics can increase healthcare costs, length of stay
and antimicrobial resistance13, 14. Traditional methods of microbial identification have time
concerns. Most laboratories take 48 72 hours to determine microorganisms susceptibility testing10,

The later study overcame some of the limitations of the previous study and included only patients with
antibiotic resistance gram negative bacteremia with sufficient sample size. Selecting the most
appropriate and cost effective rapid diagnostic testing is somehow challenging given the wide range of
commercially available diagnostic tools. Some of these tools require labor intensive clinical
laboratories work with high complexity10. For gram negative bacteremia, two tools have potential
clinical benefits, Verigene gram negative blood culture (BC GN) and FilmArray blood culture
identification (BCID) given their ability to detect resistance patterns in certain microorganisms and
have a short turnaround time after a positive blood culture. A study by MacVane S et al. examined the

Foundations Of The Building Transfer
FOUNDATIONS The foundations of the building transfer the weight of the building to the ground.
While foundation is really a general word, normally, every building has many individual foundations,
commonly called footings. Usually each column of the building will have its individual footing. Since
the weight of the building rests on the land (or rock), engineers have to study the properties of the soil
very carefully to ensure it can carry the loads imposed because of the building. It is common for
engineers to determine the safe bearing capacity of your soil after such study. Because the name
suggests, this is the amount of weight per unit area your soil can bear. For instance, the safe bearing
capacity(SBC) for a location could be 20 T/m2, or perhaps tonnes per square metre. That capacity also
changes at different depths of soil. In normal, the deeper one digs, the greater the SBC, unless there
are pockets of weak soil in the earth. To properly support a building, the soil must become very firm
and strong. It is common for the soil near the top of earth to be loose along with weak. If a building is
rested within this soil, it will sink in the earth like a ship in water. Building contractors will commonly
dig until they reach quite firm, strong, soil that can not be dug up easily before building a foundation.
To study the properties of the soil before designing foundations, engineers will request a soil
investigation to be achieved. A soil investigation engineer will

An Excerpt Of Ovid s Metamorphose
This piece was inspired by an excerpt of Ovid s Metamorphoses in book number six which describes
the slaughter of Niobe s seven sons and seven daughters. Niobe was the queen of Thebes, married to
King Amphion. She lived an extreme life of luxury and often bragged about how great her life was.
One day the goddess Leto, also know was Latona, heard Niobe boasting about how much better her
life was. Niobe could not stop comparing her extreme fertility, hence her 14 children, to Leto mere
two offspring. Niobe told the people of Thebes they should be worshiping her instead of Leto. In
response, Leto s two offspring, Apollo, the god of music, and Artemis, also known as Diana, the
goddess of the hunt, came to Thebes and murdered Niobe s children with

These claims on banks can act as money because they are negotiable or repayable on demand, and
hence valued at par. They are effectively transferable by mere delivery, in the case of banknotes, or by
drawing a cheque that the payee may bank or cash. 2. Netting and settlement of payments banks act as
both collection and paying agents for customers, participating in interbank clearing and settlement
systems to collect, present, be presented with, and pay payment instruments. This enables banks to
economies on reserves held for settlement of payments, since inward and outward payments offset
each other. It also enables the offsetting of payment flows between geographical areas, reducing the
cost of settlement between them. 3. Credit intermediation banks borrow and lend back to back on their
own account as middle men. 4. Credit quality improvement banks lend money to ordinary commercial
and personal borrowers (ordinary credit quality), but are high quality borrowers. The improvement
comes from diversification of the bank s assets and capital which provides a buffer to absorb losses
without defaulting on its obligations. However, banknotes and deposits are generally unsecured; if the
bank gets into difficulty and pledges assets as security, to raise the funding it needs to continue to
operate, this puts the note holders and depositors in an economically subordinated position.

Good Night And Good Luck Analysis
Legendary CBS News broadcaster Edward R. Murrow is a journalist who made history with exposing
Senator Joseph R. McCarthy. Although the story will go down in history, with the help of the movie
Good Night, and Good Luck directed by George Clooney, how much is known of the historically
accurate story. While some could argue that George Clooney and producer, Grant Heslov, made the
screenplay naive, others disagree. Many may even state that it was well researched and followed the
original weekly CBS story, See It Now, accurately. Both are easily arguable.
In the movie, Good Night, and Good Luck, it is portrayed that many people or news companies were
too afraid of McCarthy to stand up to him. Although by the time the show, See It Now, aired on the
9th of March, 1954, many people wanted to remove McCarthy from chairman. Many Republicans
joined Democrats in publicly denouncing him, including Richard Nixon. Many would state that
mainstream news was also very anti McCarthy, including Time Magazine and Chicago Tribune.
Another red flag that may make people question the accurateness of this film is the changing in minor
details, including the beginning of this movie when the date of the RTDNA Convention in Chicago is
displayed on October 25th , 1985 when the Convention was held on October 12th, 1958 . Also,
Murrow s keynote address is introduced by a man who talks about the issues that Murrow reported on

Colin Powell 18 Lessons In Leadership Summary
General (USA RET) Colin L. Powell, 18 Lessons in Leadership General Powell highlights 18 lessons
learned in leadership that are applied to successful companies, and how they are applied to leadership
in his presentation to the Outreach Program, and the Sears Corporate Headquarters. These approaches
can be applied not only in business but life in general. I will highlight three of the lessons that have
impacted my career in the military Lesson 7 Too often in business as well as the military, If it ain t
broke, don t fix it (Powell, C #7). Too often the command as well as enlisted soldiers will use this
analogy to continue to do what they have always done and fight change. Also this leads to allowing
small details to be overlooked because it s been allowed before, these small details, such as production
schedules become larger details. These small little details will cause larger details to be overlooked in
the future. This culture will foster reactivity instead of promoting proactivity (Powell, C #7). This type
of culture is a struggle for leaders to change in the National Guard because of the hometown
mentality, all though we strive to keep the since of community in our units as leaders we have to be
the supporters of change. Be able to answer the why when it is necessary to move in a different

The Importance Of Being The Middle Child
Being the middle child, I have always thought of myself as the forgotten one. I m not the first born or
the baby of the family so I was, and still am, sort of looked over. My parents, although I am sure they
did not mean to, have proven me right about this many times. I was only four years old the first time I
was forgotten. My mother got all of my sisters into the car as we were leaving K mart, the biggest
store in town, when she forgot to check if I was there. It wasn t until she had already driven across
town and told my sister to ask me what I wanted from Taco Bell that she realized I was not there.
Being a whole four years old, I figured I could navigate the town pretty well by myself, so I began my
journey home alone. Unfortunately, the policeman did not see it the same way and I only made it to
the end of the parking lot. To my mother s advantage, we lived in a very small town, so she got in no
sort of trouble for this mistake.
I have had the chance to establish the most important relationships in my life, relationships that have
built me into the person I am today and am still growing to be. The most prominent people in my life
have always been my four sisters: Jasmine, Stirling, Lukila, and Isabella. Each of them have impacted
me in a completely unique way because they are all so different. Over the years, we have all been split
up many times. In other words, we ve been put in all sorts of places on the map and back again. For

The Components Of Effective Handwriting Interventions For...
What are the components of effective handwriting interventions for typical primary school age
children with handwriting difficulties?
2.2 Search strategy
Following the formulation of the research question, in February 2015 a systematic approach was taken
to search the existing evidence of interventions for primary school children with handwriting
difficulties and all occupational therapy.
A search was carried out using 5 bibliographic databases. Databases related to healthcare were
selected based on relevance to the topic of occupational therapy and handwriting. Initial electronic
searches were carried out on the databases in December 2014 to ensure the literature involved was a
comprehensive measure available on this topic. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2.3 Criteria for searching the literature
Exclusion criteria were set up to determine the most relevant articles be included to inform for the
research question (Aveyard 2010).
Studies that included children with medical or educational diagnoses that may confound the results
were excluded from the search (e.g. developmental coordination disorder, autism, severe
developmental delay, etc.).
As this study aims to explore and compare the components of handwriting interventions that are
effective; studies that did not describe an intervention strategy to improve handwriting were excluded
from the review.
2.4 Critical Appraisal
In order to assess the validity and usefulness of the papers, a systematic approach is used to critically
appraise the research (Young and Soloman, 2009). All papers in this review have been critically
appraised using the critical appraisal protocol CASP (Public Health Resource Unit (PHRU) 2007)
which is a recognised tool (Aveyard 2010). These can be found in the appendix (appendices 1 5).
2.5 Searching the papers
A total of 152 papers were found through database searching. A further 5 papers were found through
reference lists of relevant papers. 141 papers remained when duplicates were removed. After scanning
the titles of the papers, 116 were removed, as they were irrelevant to the topic of handwriting

Bigotry And Prejudice Similarities
Prejudice and bigotry are similar in ways of singling out a group of people and disliking them. In
history prejudice has escalated quickly into wars, most notable of such would be, world war II (Hitler
s concentration camps) and the American Civil war (battle for slave freedom in the U.S.) Anybody is
capable of being prejudice, the battle of prejudice has been around as long as we have documentation
for. Prejudice is even found in the Bible, when the Hebrews were being held as slaves in Egypt and
Moses came in leading them to the promise land of Jerusalem. Prejudice is caused by the stereotyping
of a group of people without getting to know them. One could link this to sociocultural psychology,
because they are basing their hatred to a certain

Trust in Military Essay
TRUST IN THE MILITARY
What is one of the most important elements used in relation building in the military? Trust, personal
growth from friendships becomes challenging without the presents of this crucial element. Without
trust, individual s confidence in all echelons of leadership and their subordinates ability to complete
missions would diminish a unit s morale and loyalty. Friendships are constructed over time through
the innuendo of mutual trust. Time is the only factor that gains trust and cannot be expected or granted
to. There are plenty of circumstances where the absence of trust was the misnomer for failure in
relationships. We can place trust at the highest point in the pyramid of morals, but how do ... Show

The civilian populous security awareness increases when the military is present. When every soldier
takes his oath to the Constitution, we as soldiers accepted the responsibility to protect and serve the
people. The United States entrusts soldiers with the power to use deadly force while respecting the
sanctity of life at the same time. Most people do not comprehend how vital trust is; it is at the same
level as faith. The absence of trust puts personal lives and jobs at risk. The Military places trust in the
civilian population when they contract them to aid the Soldiers on their daily task and building most of
their weaponry, vehicles, ships and aircraft. All leadership should trust their subordinates when
executing a task. Ensuring Soldiers do their job while implementing military standards without
supervision is fundamental. Subordinates should trust us to make the sound judgments that will bring
them home to their loved ones. Knowing that we can count on each other brings the confidence we
need to stay focused on the mission, increasing abilities to make right decisions in stressful situations
where a second can determine life or death on the battlefield. Learning how to let go could seemingly
be one of the hardest skills to master. If leaders don t trust their subordinates it can be interpreted as
micro management, these leaders will do all the work. Leaving no room for their subordinates to
evolve, as leaders causing a negative

Examples Of Hyperbolical Protestation In Tamburlaine
The wish fulfilment images find their most appropriate and characteristic form of expression in
Tamburlaine s hyperbolical protestations.
For I, the chiefest lamp of all the earth,
First rising in the east with mild aspect.
But fixed now in the meridian line,
Will send up fire to your turning spheres,
And cause the sun to borrow light of you; (p.44)
This is a form of expression which Marlowe nowhere else uses as often as in this play. Marlowe can
use imagery to differentiate his characters, for example, Bajazeth s speeches contain images from the
underworld and are full of monsters and darkness,
... sacrifice my heart to death and hell,
Before I yield to such a slavery. (p.43)
Then, as I look down to the damned fiends,
Fiends, look on me! ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And neither Perseans Soveraign, nor the Turk
Troubled my sences with conceit of foile,
So much by much, as dooth Zenocrate
What is beauty, saith my sufferings then? (pp.55 6)
The praise on Zenocrate shows close affinities with Elizabethan poetic conventions in its structure, in
the repetition of the metrically regular lines in which Zenocrate s name is introduced, and in its
imagery. It is a highly lyrical description it opens with references to nature s participation in
Tamburlaine s feelings, watery cheeks, aire, earth and goes on to speak of Zenocrate s imminent death.
It ends with five parallel visions which show the loving sympathy and grief of the angels, of the
heavenly bodies, of nature, and of God.
Eies when that Ebena steps to heaven,
In silence of thy solemn Evenings walk,
Making the mantle of the richest night,
The Moone, the Planets, and the Meteors light. (p.56) These examples show the way in which lyrical
forms could be absorbed by the drama and that Marlowe the playwright is inseparable from Marlowe

Theories Of Religion In The Film Indiana Jones And The...
Karl Marx s theory of religion works well with the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. One
of the major motifs in the movie is religious oppression of the proletarian class through stones, which
could be considered to be the power of the people. Both the Bourgeois and Proletarians exist in the
movie; it is clear that the classes are treated differently, most of this has to do with religion. Marx s
theory of religion is not only exuded in the film but, is practically a perfect example of Marx s ideas
on communism.
To compare Indiana Jones with Marx one must understand the ideas within the communist manifesto.
Marx believed that the Bourgeois, the wealthy class, has control over the Proletariats, the working
class. This is done ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once Ram had the power he did not want to give it to anyone, including the Maharaja. It is then Ram
uses mind control against the Maharaja to get exactly what he wants, to to be the sole ruler of the area
and eventually the world. Once Ram has gained the control of the area he attempts to start controlling
other major parts of ruling including meeting with other leaders of the surrounding areas in order to
try to get them under his control. However, he is still working out the plan as he is having children
mine for the remaining stones which are said to give him the ultimate power. Karl Marx s would have
agreed that Ram was not only affiliating with the Bourgeois but, also becoming the head of it; it
makes sense then that when he falls everyone else is not only better off but, is happier as well.
The children and the native people who are in the region under the power of the Maharaja are the
oppressed. With the villagers one can see the oppression they are under. They are kept in horrible
conditions where there is a lack of basic human needs such as food and water. This all happened due
to the stone being taken away from them. The children are in even worse conditions; they are in a cave
system and are beaten if they are found not to be doing their work. The children are in collective chain
gangs looking for the other lost stones. They are being forced to do this

  • 2. Comparing Plato Five Dialogues Euthyphro, Apology, Crito,... When people learn to be honest to themselves and others, they can go through life being happy. Although, it is hard sometimes for people to be happy because of issues like racism and bullying that exist in the world. While this exist in the world some of the things that bring people the most happiness in life is achieving a good education, treating others equally, and loving those around them. An example of this within Plato Five Dialogues Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, Meno, Phaedo by John M. Cooper is the following. Men of Athens, I am grateful and I am your friend, but I will obey the god rather than you, and as long as I draw breath and am able, I shall not cease to practice philosophy, to exhort you and in my usual way to point out to ... Similarity was the example of Fredrick Douglas when his master had figured out Fredrick was growing with knowledge, so then he tried to keep him under his control by not allowing him to continue to learn how to read and write. As people in lower poverty countries are just as a slave as Fredrick Douglas was. Not being able to receive an education that is offer to use here in the United States. The people in the United States have the choice to receive an education if they want it. Which some people do not choose to receive a free education. That is a dishonor to the people that are unable to have that choice of receiving an education, but like Fredrick he would have to trick boys into teaching him how to write. He would tell them that he could write better than they could and they would try to prove him wrong. As they were writing he would pay attention to detail and do the exact same thing. This is how he would learn how to write. In poverty countries they do not even have that opportunity to pretend they know the information because everyone else around them are without an education. That is why they stay in poverty because no one has the knowledge to improve their country and make it a better place to live in. This is why an education is so important to societies. • 3. Conquest And The Conquest Of Land Conquest is one simple little word with tremendously rich background and history. Conquest in short is defined to gain a victory over. Conquest has lead to the beginnings of new lands and has created the end of an old. Many different interactions between groups of people and their lands have occurred throughout history that ultimately lead into the conquest of land. First and foremost before interactions occurred there was reasoning behind conquests. The root of conquest can be narrowed down into three categories. These categories are God, glory, and gold. Religions that are big on conversion looked upon conquest as an opportunity to gain more believers, therefore pleasing their god more. Glory was as simple as glory for the homeland to claim increased land. Lastly, just like today humans wanted riches. Striking gold meant just that, becoming rich. Along with each conquest brought upon many different interactions and consequences from those interactions. These interactions are what set up the foundation of nations relationships. Starting with the background of conquest before the two types of interactions. The Spanish main religion in the fifteenth to sixteenth centuries was Catholic. As members of the Catholic faith, the Spanish felt as though it was there right to explore new lands as long as that meant converting the natives from their previous religious views to the beliefs of Catholicism. Then it dropped one hundred feet (30 m), and then again flew level for two more minutes, after which it began a descent so gradual it could not be perceived by the crew. In the next seventy seconds, the plane lost only 250 feet (76 m), but this was enough to trigger the altitude warning C chord chime located under the engineer s workstation. The engineer (or Second Officer) had gone below deck following Loft s instructions, and there was no indication by the pilot s voices recorded on the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) that the warning chime was acknowledged. In another fifty seconds, the plane was at half its assigned altitude. • 5. Bank Of The New Edition Of Macbeth In the political cartoon called by the name of New edition of Macbeth. Bank oh s Ghost a very ghastly scene was unfolding. The primary context for the painting itself was the Panic of 1837 that occurred just as Andrew Jackson was leaving office in 1836, leaving the venerable Martin Van Buren to fend for himself in a mess not of his own doing. The Panic of 1837 was a consequence of many factors sprawling from Jackson s election in 1828 to 1836. The first of these factors was the bank war between the Jackson administration and the 2nd national bank of the United States created by the market revolution in 1816. The bank symbolized the hopes and fears inspired by the market revolution. The expansion of banking helped to finance the nation s economic development. But many Americans, including Jackson, distrusted bankers as non producers who contributed nothing to the nation s wealth but profited from the labor of others. The tendency of banks to over issue paper money, whose deterioration in value reduced the real income of wage earners, reinforced this conviction. Jackson himself had long believed the hard money gold and silver was the only honest currency. Nonetheless, when he assumed office there was little reason to believe that the Bank War would become the major event of his presidency.1 Page 388 of Give Me Liberty The Bank War and its Results Therefore, the consequence of Jackson declaring war on the 2nd bank of the United States was in 1832 the head of the bank ... • 9. Becoming Vegan Or Go Home ! By Sarah Breslaw The Source of Veganism Finding a solution to sustain our environment has long been debated. In the essay Go Vegan or Go Home! , Sarah Breslaw asserts veganism as the answer to curbing environmental concerns. Breslaw makes a clear argument in her thesis and explains both negative and positive aspects of veganism but ultimately succumbs to logical fallacies, faulty sourcing and evident subjectivity which weaken her claim. Sarah Breslaw is a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara and has been a vegetarian for the past four years. Her personal nutrition habits and values can be attributed to her favorable stance towards plant based diets. The essay s context is set in the middle of the rising veganism fads popularized by celebrities and mainstream media. As a student, Breslaw s main audience are her fellow peers, professors and those concerned with lessening their carbon footprint. Moreover, her thesis statement becoming vegan is the responsible choice , explicitly outlines the purpose of the essay which provides the basis of why she believes the responsible choice to combat negative environmental effects is to become vegan. To establish credibility, Breslaw cites multiple sources of varying reliability. One source she uses solidifies credibility because it is published from a scholarly journal. The majority of her sources, however, are from sites such as, peta.org and vegan.org which have exceedingly biased agendas. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A typical good quality fingerprint template contains 20 70 minutiae points; the actual number depends on the size of the finger sensor surface and how the user places his or her finger on the sensor. The system stores the minutiae information position and direction along with the user s demographic information as a template in the enrollment database. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. Behavior such as this might be viewed as both a lack of understanding about death as well as an attempt to get attention that is so obviously absent. It is important to note that unlike other Minority Serving Institutions, HBCUs, are only one of two types of institutions (Tribal Colleges Universities or TCUs are the other) federally designated by law and therefore, cannot increase in number with an act of Congress (Li, 2007). In other words, every time an HBCU closes its doors, we get one step closer to the elimination of the historical and consequential institutions. To understand the significance of these institutions one must understand the context in which these institutions were established. In the most basic sense, HBCUs were established because of racism (Evans, Evans, Evans, 2002). Prior to the Civil War, few universities espoused the mission and goal of training and education Black people (Albritton, 2012). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Persuasive Essay On Animal Language There are over 7 billion people in today s world. It would be easier if all 7 billion people spoke the same language but, unfortunately that is not the case. There are more than 7,000 languages in the world, as people die their language dies with them. Also kids born in culturally diverse country, with many different languages, are being taught english as opposed to their native language. They are being taught english because there elders or teaches believe this will help them more throughout the course of their lives. Languages are going extinct left and right but fortunately speakers of endangered languages are making efforts to preserve and even bring these endangered languages back. One of those endangered languages is Wampanoag language spoken by natives americans throw new england. I chose this language because I found the struggle to keep Wampanoag language alive very interesting. I have a house on cape cod, which was once a territory of the Wampanoag tribe. This local endangered language was all around me and I never knew what it was until I saw an interesting video in english composition. This video gave a brieff history on the wampanoag tribe and how their territory has been reduced. Street name, restaurant names and many words we use today came from the Wampanoag language. Street names right near my house came from the Wampanoag language. Street names such as Naushon and Nashawena. These street names are named after the Elizabeth Islands right near Martha s ... • 32. Transition Mechanism Of The Internet Protocol Essay Transition mechanism is a technology that facilitates the transitioning of the Internet from the Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) infrastructure Mechanism to allow a smooth transition to the new version of the IP protocol, without the need for an abrupt change. With this idea in mind, several of these mechanisms were created in order to facilitate the coexistence of both versions. During the early stages of IPv6 deployment it was believed that adoption of the new protocol would be quick enough and that IPv6 would have gained widespread adoption before IPv4 ran out. This, however, did not happen which is why transition mechanisms are an even more relevant topic today. Transition mechanisms can be classified according to the different techniques they apply: Dual stack Tunneling Translation It is also possible to classify the different mechanisms based on whether they assume that the underlying infrastructure is predominantly IPv4 or IPv6. Although in the beginning there were IPv4 networks that started gradually adding IPv6 access, as IPv4 ran out, providers started considering the deployment of IPv6 only networks. This means that transition mechanisms are needed to allow customers in these IPv6 only networks to access networks that still only support IPv4. Many mechanisms have been proposed and more are currently being discussed in the IETF. The following is a description of the most widely deployed and more mature mechanisms. Kumar et al. demonstrated that with each hour delay, there is a 7.6% decrease in survival. Moreover, delaying appropriate antibiotics can increase healthcare costs, length of stay and antimicrobial resistance13, 14. Traditional methods of microbial identification have time concerns. Most laboratories take 48 72 hours to determine microorganisms susceptibility testing10, 15. Selecting the most appropriate and cost effective rapid diagnostic testing is somehow challenging given the wide range of commercially available diagnostic tools. Some of these tools require labor intensive clinical laboratories work with high complexity10. For gram negative bacteremia, two tools have potential clinical benefits, Verigene gram negative blood culture (BC GN) and FilmArray blood culture identification (BCID) given their ability to detect resistance patterns in certain microorganisms and have a short turnaround time after a positive blood culture. A study by MacVane S et al. examined the usefulness of antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) coupled with BCID versus conventional organism identification coupled with ASP or conventional organism identification (controls) alone20. • 34. Foundations Of The Building Transfer FOUNDATIONS The foundations of the building transfer the weight of the building to the ground. While foundation is really a general word, normally, every building has many individual foundations, commonly called footings. Usually each column of the building will have its individual footing. Since the weight of the building rests on the land (or rock), engineers have to study the properties of the soil very carefully to ensure it can carry the loads imposed because of the building. It is common for engineers to determine the safe bearing capacity of your soil after such study. Because the name suggests, this is the amount of weight per unit area your soil can bear. For instance, the safe bearing capacity(SBC) for a location could be 20 T/m2, or perhaps tonnes per square metre. That capacity also changes at different depths of soil. In normal, the deeper one digs, the greater the SBC, unless there are pockets of weak soil in the earth. To properly support a building, the soil must become very firm and strong. It is common for the soil near the top of earth to be loose along with weak. If a building is rested within this soil, it will sink in the earth like a ship in water. Building contractors will commonly dig until they reach quite firm, strong, soil that can not be dug up easily before building a foundation. To study the properties of the soil before designing foundations, engineers will request a soil investigation to be achieved. A soil investigation engineer will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One day the goddess Leto, also know was Latona, heard Niobe boasting about how much better her life was. Niobe could not stop comparing her extreme fertility, hence her 14 children, to Leto mere two offspring. Niobe told the people of Thebes they should be worshiping her instead of Leto. The improvement comes from diversification of the bank s assets and capital which provides a buffer to absorb losses without defaulting on its obligations. Although the story will go down in history, with the help of the movie Good Night, and Good Luck directed by George Clooney, how much is known of the historically accurate story. While some could argue that George Clooney and producer, Grant Heslov, made the screenplay naive, others disagree. Many may even state that it was well researched and followed the original weekly CBS story, See It Now, accurately. Both are easily arguable. In the movie, Good Night, and Good Luck, it is portrayed that many people or news companies were too afraid of McCarthy to stand up to him. Although by the time the show, See It Now, aired on the 9th of March, 1954, many people wanted to remove McCarthy from chairman. Many Republicans joined Democrats in publicly denouncing him, including Richard Nixon. Many would state that mainstream news was also very anti McCarthy, including Time Magazine and Chicago Tribune. Another red flag that may make people question the accurateness of this film is the changing in minor details, including the beginning of this movie when the date of the RTDNA Convention in Chicago is displayed on October 25th , 1985 when the Convention was held on October 12th, 1958 . I m not the first born or the baby of the family so I was, and still am, sort of looked over. My parents, although I am sure they did not mean to, have proven me right about this many times. I was only four years old the first time I was forgotten. My mother got all of my sisters into the car as we were leaving K mart, the biggest store in town, when she forgot to check if I was there. It wasn t until she had already driven across town and told my sister to ask me what I wanted from Taco Bell that she realized I was not there.
