Defiant Desire in Namibia . Lorway examines sexuality as both a social construct and a political one.
While this ethnography provides unparalleled information about gender and sexuality in the poorer
world, there are a few important flaws, such as the lack of information about radical ideas or behavior,
neglect of his own bias, and the length of the ethnography.

In this ethnography, Lorway analyzes female sexual desire and the challenges these women face. He
discusses problems with their president, their families, their employment and the aggression against
them. Many of these women reported being stabbed multiple times by both women and men. They
also claimed that it is not uncommon for women to be raped in Namibia, and being lesbians give them
a better sense of security. HIV is extremely prevent in Namibian society, and some of these women
even report a fear of sleeping with men for this reason. Lorway arrived in Namibia in 2001, shortly
after their president announced that all LGBT peoples would be thrown in prison. One women who
was incarcerated was thankful for the consistent food and shelter. During rough times, these lesbians
would become prostitutes as well, despite the fact that they were not sexually attracted to men.
Overall, these working class lesbians faced numerous hardships, with little support outside of their
organizations The Rainbow Project and Sister Namibia. They also preferred in most cases to use the
western labels, such as lesbian , despite the government s attempt to claim that homosexuality in
unnatural and a western cultural import.

Back during the second World War, my grandma had to go into the factories to work. At that same
time, my grandpa, her husband, was over fighting in the war. She was a Rosie the Riveter and went
into the factory to work for General Motors. Sadly, she is no longer with us so everything I have
learned about her in the factory are stories that have been passed down.

By 1927, Ford, with the help of the assembly line, had sold about fifteen million cars worldwide.
These fifteen million cars accounted for over half of all automobiles that were sold by that time
(McKenzie, 2015). Also, in the 1920s, the assembly got a slight upgrade. The original rope and pulley
assembly lines were upgraded to mechanized conveyors. The next big upgrade to the assembly line
was in the decade of the War. This is when robots were first introduced to the assembly lines. This was

excavation at Roman Verulamiun (St. Albans), north of London. While there she would study Wheeler

SeaWorld should be shut down for its cruel, and inhumane methods of keeping and training animals.
Orcas, dolphins, and other animals are used like machines, and not living things. They are confined to

entertainment of people. Orcas at SeaWorld would need to swim 950 times around the bathtub like

Becoming A Mentee
I have been a mentee throughout various phases of my career as well as in school. I have had great
mentors who have been very open and honest about strengths and weaknesses and who have tried to
guide me over the years. It has been a tremendous benefit and something I probably took for granted

Hamlet s madness is less than madness and more than feigned . What is madness? Mad is a word with
such uncertainty that it can be stretched to mean an abundance of things more than just pure
psychological instability: a weariness of life; a suicidal impulse; a plotting charisma. In the play
Hamlet by William Shakespeare, a wild disagreement has been consequent for a series of years in the
case of the madness of Hamlet, the play s central narrative, was justifiable or feigned. As in any
decision, one must be given both sides of the controversy before making an impartial conclusion. The
case of Hamlet s madness is no exclusion. It is appropriate to say that Hamlet may have remained

DATA COLLECTION METHODS
Methods of data collection.
The term data means groups of information that represent the qualitative or quantitative attributes of a
variable or set of variables. Data are typically the results of measurements and can be the basis of
graphs, images, or observations of a set of variables. Data are often viewed as the lowest level of
abstraction from which information and knowledge are derived.

In contrived observation, the respondents behaviour is observed in an artificial environment, for
example, a food tasting session.
Personal
In personal observation, a researcher observes actual behaviour as it occurs. The observer may or may
not normally attempt to control or manipulate the phenomenon being observed. The observer merely
records what takes place.
Mechanical
Mechanical devices (video, closed circuit television) record what is being observed. These devices
may or may not require the respondent s direct participation. They are used for continuously recording
on going behaviour.
Non participant
The observer does not normally question or communicate with the people being observed. He or she
does not participate.
Participant
In participant observation, the researcher becomes, or is, part of the group that is being investigated.
Participant observation has its roots in ethnographic studies (study of man and races) where
researchers would live in tribal villages, attempting to understand the customs and practices of that

culture. It has a very extensive literature, particularly in sociology (development, nature and laws of
human society) and anthropology (physiological and psychological study of man). Organizations can
be viewed as tribes with their own customs and practices.
Advantages
1)Helps capture the behavior of customers directly.

I would like to add to my degree by completing an Engineering and Social Development certification
and a minor in French at UFT. Even more, the location of this campus is ideal for me because I may
