Store Relations Manager
Coordinated all communication from Merchandise Department to stores and to Field Supervisors
regarding product knowledge, stock availability, product pricing, merchandise presentation, and
promotional pricing. Advised field of what styles were available to ship from warehouse, what regular
retail prices and promotional prices were in effect, and where to display selected styles on feature
display fixtures for the month.
• Coordinated all Merchandise Communication from field to office regarding inventory needs and
requests, product pricing inaccuracies, presentation questions and possible product substitutions,
resulting in correct prices in system and maintaining needed inventories to keep feature display
fixtures filled at all times.
• Advised Allocators what bestselling styles to increase and maintain at higher stock levels to
requesting store, achieving improved sales and profits.
• Conducted daily and weekly telephone calls with Store Managers of selected outlets spread
throughout all geographic regions to discuss current business trends, competition promotions,
product needs by category, style, and sizes, developing game plan for improving business results in
the future.
• Completed in-depth post call merchandise reviews, analyzing sales and inventory by style and size,
along with inventories in transit.
• Advised Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, and Accessory Allocators of all styles needing more inventory
with suggested inventory targets, maintaining maximum sales performance and return on inventory
investment.
• Scheduled and conducted weekly conference calls with select group of 8 Store Managers, selected
Field Supervisors, and Upper Management staff in home office, discussing current business, events
and peak business periods in future, and potential solutions to improve business nationally.

Merchandise Manager, Outlets
Distributed all men’s footwear to outlets, set and adjusted stock models based on sales performance,
featured product presentations, and planned promotions. Supervised Women’s and Children’s
Allocators in all aspects of store merchandising including initial style creation and distribution, making
constant stock model adjustments in store assortments and executing planned promotions in
merchandise system.
• Created styles in system which allowed purchase orders to be written as designated by Receipt
Plan for scheduled delivery as well as allowing promotional prices to be loaded into store registers,
ensuring correct pricing when completing sale transactions.
• Performed all aspects of Men’s Buyer which included style selection for future season plans in
forecasting sales and receipt plans by category and style, developing new products with Sourcing
Department which met needs to fill voids in product assortment that were not fulfilled by existing
carry over products.
• Produced forecast plans by style and created purchase orders for Category Management Team,
ensuring inventory was produced and delivered to meet desired time lines as dictated by planned
budgets.
• Participated in 10 monthly planning meetings per year with Product and Marketing teams,
developing plans for products to present in feature display positions throughout store planogram set
ups and also to select styles to promote at what special prices for monthly planner periods.
• Completed all transfers of discontinued styles from full price stores to outlets at end of each season,
accounting for approximately 300,000 pairs per season.
• Achieved sales in excess of $2B and profits in excess of $1B during career with Clarks,
experiencing 17 consecutive years of sales increases for outlet division.
• Chosen as inaugural recipient of Clarks Lasting Legacy Award (Retail Hall of Fame) for Outstanding
Performance at Store Level, Field Supervisor Level, and Home Office Level in both full price and
outlet divisions throughout retail career.
