Essay On Marco Polo
I have not told half of what I saw Marco Polo. Marco Polo was a world famous traveler and trader.
The introductions of China and Asia, for many, was all thanks to him. Polo is most known for his
travels to China and his book. His book describes the basis of the descriptions of places that were not
really discovered. Polo s childhood was rough and unordinary. Polo was born around 1254 in Venice.
Polo s mother died when Polo was young, leaving him with his father, Niccolo. Niccolo and Polo s
uncle, Maffeo, however, left on a long expedition to Asia. This circumstance left Polo to be raised by
his uncle and aunt. His uncle and aunt taught Polo how to read, write, calculate arithmetic, and to
become a merchant (McNeese; History.com Staff). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Polo and the brothers arrived at Khan s summer palace, in Shangdu, China, Polo was in his 20
s. Polo, at that point, knew four different languages which Khan loved. Khan decided to employ Polo
and to send him out to explore unexplored areas including China s eastern and southern provinces and
parts of India and Southeast Asia. Polo s travels gave him great knowledge of the Mongol empire, and
he introduced paper money to Europe. When Polo returned he started to govern a city in China
because Khan was so impressed by his work. Khan later promoted him to an official of the Privy
Council and to a tax collector in Yanzhou. (Marco Polo Biography.com;

Why The Allies Won The Battle Of Normandy
Hitler and the Allies realized that a battle on the western coast of Europe would decide the outcome of
the war. The Allies utilized this knowledge and began immediately planning Operation Overlord.
Little did they know, the battle of Normandy would be the most significant Allied offensive battle on
the Western front(Walker). In total, the operation would take the combined effort of 176,475 men,
3,000 guns, 1,500 tanks, and 15,000 other assorted vehicles (Walker). People recognize the glorious
outcome of that fateful day, June 6,1944, but they don t know that it took months of strategizing,
training, and weather forecasts until Operation Overlord became a legend amongst international
armies. The planning of Operation Overlord began in 1943. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

At first Operation Overlord was suppose to occur in May (Stagg 12),yet due to weather forecasts the
plan was pushed back to June. Another problem was that every branch of the military wanted quiet
weather . This entailed low tides so that the underwater obstacles could be seen, the low tide needed to
be around mid morning so that they could bomb the defenses and so that a second low tide could roll
in before darkness set in(Miller 171). The Air troops wanted no ground fog or heavy mist, no more
than 6/10th of the sky be clouded, and a cloud base at least 3,000 feet above ground level. To ensure
that the troops were not too widely spread to the wind speed would need to be 20 mph. With no gusts
at the ground more than 30 mph(Stagg 13). The demands of the Air troopers were reasonable
especially since they were going to be the first ones to land in the middle of the night and start the
offensive. But, because of the weather many of the paratroopers missed their target and were separated
from their group. The infamous 101st airborne was the only group that was able to stay together and
suffer the least amount of casualties( in the book Band of Brothers one soldier not in their platoon asks
Where the hell am I (Ambrose 75). Indicates the unorganized drops). After weekly updates(
Eisenhower requested that the meteorologists give him detailed updates of the weather since January
1944) the operation was planned to go off on June 4, 1944. However, the sky began to seem ominous,
and the meteorologist had to warn Eisenhower that a cold front that was expected to pass through
Channel about Wednesday, would now be pushed forward earlier 24 or 36 hours earlier ( Stagg 102).
With moments the operation was suspended. One day later on June 5,1944 paratroopers and bombers
were able to go across the skies with almost clear skies ( other parts of the skies

Digital Literacy Paper
The twenty first century is immersed in technology from social interactions, home, education,
business, and transportation. Technology was once a luxury but now transforming to a requirement.
With such a demand for new technologies, for some a required resource, it is only fair and necessary
to provide training and education of new technologies and how to operate the technology. The
American Library Association (ALA) has determined that library information centers should
incorporate technology and digital literacy. Digital literacy encompasses a wide range of education
and services for the public, academic, and school library professions to promote information that is
essential for today s digital society. There are many challenges in ... Show more content on

In 2015 research was conducted over the rising concerns of public library budget cuts, declining
patron statistics, desired programs, and services. The key question was if the library was still a needed
public service due to technology takeover of electronic resources. The Pew study supports that the
public library is still a much needed service, however, the users desire more technology and digital
literacy (Horrigan, 2015).
Research
The 2015 Pew Research Center report, Libraries at the crossroads, discovered that the public does not
want to lose the community library as that would be a major impact on the community. In fact, public
opinion is strongly in support of library programs that advance education and improve digital literacy.
The sample size consisted of 2,004 American s age 16 and older. The method used was a telephone
survey conducted on both a landline and cellular service. Results indicated that;
78% of American s would like the public library to have programs that teach children and seniors how

Market penetration
Market penetration is the name given to a growth strategy where the business focuses on selling
existing products into existing markets.
Market penetration seeks to achieve four main objectives:
Maintain or increase the market share of current products this can be achieved by a combination of
competitive pricing strategies, advertising, sales promotion and perhaps more resources dedicated to
personal selling
Secure dominance of growth markets
Restructure a mature market by driving out competitors; this would require a much more aggressive
promotional campaign, supported by a pricing strategy designed to make the market unattractive for
competitors
Increase usage by existing customers for example by introducing loyalty schemes
A market penetration marketing strategy is very much about business as usual . The business is
focusing on markets and products it knows well. It is likely to have good information on competitors
and on customer needs. It is unlikely, therefore, that this strategy will require much investment in new
market research.
Market development
Market development is the name given to a growth strategy where the business seeks to sell its
existing products into new markets.
There are many possible ways of approaching this strategy, including:
New geographical markets; for example exporting the product to a new

The Hippocampus And Its Effects On Patients With Depression
The hippocampus is smaller in patients with depression. The smaller hippocampus is thought to be
diminished because of a persistent exposure to stress hormones, like cortisol, which impacts the
growth of nerve cells. The hippocampus is highly susceptible to stress, perhaps because the protracted
ontogeny or the high amount of glucocorticoid receptors (Uma Rao et al.; 2010). The longer the
patient has depression, or the more episodes of depression the patient experiences, the smaller the
hippocampal volumes become. Stress correlates with the smaller hippocampus, researchers used
twenty nine patients with depression, twenty two patients with severe depression and thirty two
control patients. All patients were around the same age, physically healthy, alcohol and drug free, and
did not have any other kind of mental illness like bi polar disorder, autism, or schizophrenia.
Structural imagery was used to obtain the images of each patients entire brain. Then an image was
aligned with the anterior commissure and posterior commissure as well as the borders of the left and
right hippocampus. From the MRI scans and using a formula the hippocampal volumes were figured.
All of the patients were followed up on, every 6 months for up to five years. The results were
conclusive, the severely depressed and the depressed patients had smaller hippocampal volumes when
compared to the control subjects. The left hippocampus of the patients was smaller by 4.9% and 4.2%,

Siddhartha was determined to never go back to his life of wealth. Siddhartha approached the same
river where he met the ferryman years before. He saw the water as mirroring the emptiness within
him. About to slip into the water, the word Om emanated from his soul. Siddhartha realized that
destroying his body would not end his suffering. He fell asleep. Siddhartha woke up with a sense of
rebirth and repeats Om to himself. Then Siddhartha noticed Govinda but Govinda had not recognized
him. Govinda left to get back to being a monk.

Alcohol And The Liver Research Paper
Alcohol can have negative effects on liver function. When alcohol is consumed the body starts trying
to metabolize it but has no way of doing so. The liver then has to work detoxify and remove the
alcohol from the bloodstream. Once the liver finishes the oxidation process, the alcohol becomes
water and carbon dioxide. If the alcohol accumulates in the body, it may destroy cells and organs. The
oxidative metabolism prevents this from happening. When too much alcohol is ingested at once, the
toxins take a toll on the body, starting with the liver. The oxidative metabolism of the alcohol creates
molecules that lead to a condition called fatty liver. Research supports that fatty liver, the early stage
of alcoholic liver disease, develops in nearly

Sequencing Deficits Are Not Discriminatory Of Any Age
Sequencing refers to the ability to carry out an activity in a logical, timely, and orderly manner (Early,
2006). Sequencing deficits are not discriminatory of any age and are commonly found in individuals
with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, cognitive perceptual disorders, and mental health
disorders. Some diagnoses that are tied to sequencing deficits are CVA, TBI, Autism, ADHD, and
dementia, to name a few (Occupational Therapy s Role in Cognitive Disorders, 2011). Sequencing
deficits may range from minor to severe and require occupational therapy to increase successful
completion of everyday activities by providing techniques that improve task sequencing. Sequencing
comes as automatic thought for most individuals when performing a simple task, such as making a bed
or brushing teeth. For instance, individuals whose sequencing abilities are intact will know that a fitted
sheet must be placed onto a bed before a comforter, but for some with cognitive deficits or learning
disabilities, this task may be confusing and difficult to remember. Due to cognitive decline,
individuals that once had the ability to perform tasks in correct sequences may now have difficulty
doing so. These difficulties are common in patients with dementia as memory declines (Clark et al.,
2012). Individuals with sequencing deficits require some form of visual aid or verbal cueing to
complete a task correctly. If an individual who has difficulty sequencing activities

Command Economic System
There are different types of economies, but the most common economic systems today are market and
command economy. Command economy is where there is a central authority that is basically in charge
of the what, how, and for whom decisions. All of the economic decisions are made by the government.
If the people make any type of decision in the economy then there is barely any influence over how
the basic economic questions are answered. In the market economic system, the people and firms act
in their own best interests to answer the what, how, and for who questions. The system is arranged that
allow buyers and sellers to come together in order to exchange goods and services. The people are
basically the center of the decision making; they are what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Surveys and Experiments
Introduction Surveys and experiments can prove to be an extremely valuable tool that organizations
can use to gain pertinent information. In order to effectively utilize these tools firms must pay careful
attention to the design, methodology, and ethical issues of the experiment chosen. Among these issues
are variables in conducting experiments with human subjects, design elements affecting the accuracy
of the experiment, and questions of methodology. The information below addresses each of these
concerns and describes how experiments can become a valuable tool for organizations to plan for the
future. Question 9.4 Ethical Problems in Conducting Experiments with Human Subjects After

The Searchers By John Ford
John Ford s 1956 film, The Searchers, is a classic Western tale set in the staked plains, post Civil War
era. Like most of John Ford s Western films, The Searchers is also filmed in Monument Valley,
Arizona/Utah. John Ford first introduces Ethan Edwards (John Wayne) returning on horseback to his
brother, Aaron Edwards s (Walter Coy) house three years after the Civil War. Ethan is introduced to
Martin Pawley (Jeffery Hunter), the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. The film moves forward
when Rev. Captain Clayton (Ward Bond) volunteers Ethan, Marty, and a group of men to search for
the Jorgensen s missing cattle. The search turns its tracks when the men realize that the Edwards
family have been killed by the Comanche Indians, and Debbie (Natalie Wood) and Lucy (Pippa Scott)
are taken by Scar. Although Ethan is the anti hero, him and Marty are the protagonists of The
Searchers. Both Ethan and Marty s lives are flipped upside down and are now on a journey to save
Debbie and Lucy. The antagonist, Scar, is possibly considered Ethan s alter ego because they share
several similarities. Throughout the film, Ethan and Marty face many challenges accepting their
background and issues. The overall meaning of the film is to let go of the past and accept what the
future has to offer; John Ford s use of paradigm, style, and themes drives the overall meaning
throughout the film.
Notably, John Ford s paradigm moves the overall meaning of the film by the structure of the events

Topic Sentences and Supporting Paragraphs
Topic Sentences
When you write, you form paragraphs. A paragraph is a group of sentences that relate in topic and
thought. A paragraph generally consists of three to five sentences and usually begins with a topic
sentence. A topic sentence is a general statement that announces what the paragraph is about. By
starting a paragraph with a topic sentence, your audience may immediately identify your topic. This
construction also helps you, the writer, stay focused on your subject.

Effects Of Regime Type On The Duration Of War And War On...
Amy Ly

[Title]
Introduction What is the effect of regime type on the duration of war and war s impact on political
leaders? And how do these effects range in comparison to other variables, such as wealth, military
power, or alliances? I hypothesize the following: longer wars have a worse impact on democracies
than on dictatorships and mixed regimes, and as a result are shorter. In the first section of this paper, I
define key terms used throughout the paper and review literature and theory related to the topic of war
and regime type. In the next section, I
Background and Literature Review Using [cite] s definition of regime type, I have identified three
types of regimes in this paper: democracies, dictatorships, and mixed regimes. Democracies are
defined as regimes that do not repress its people and include the highest proportion of the populace;
dictatorships are highly repressive and exclude most of the population; and mixed regimes use
moderate repression and exclude a significant proportion of their populace (CITE). To understand the
reasoning behind my hypothesis, I turn to the democratic and inter democratic peace theories, in
which my hypothesis is fundamentally rooted. These theories come from the liberal school of thought
in international relations and posit that democracies do not, or are less likely, to go to war, and do not
go to war with other democracies (Elman 758). There is much scholarly

What Is Life Of Pi Essay About Religion
Catastrophic events, both personal and collective, raise the question of divine Providence. How can an
infinitely good Creator allow the kind of evil that puts the divine goodness in doubt? The question has

God in the mystery of divine Providence. There seems to be no other solution than hope in the midst
of despair. (Tavard pg707)

The Solar And Integrated Photovoltaic Panels That Generate...
One of the most innovative and interesting ideas in renewable energy to hit the streets in recent years,
happens to actually be the streets! I m talking about roadways with integrated photovoltaic panels that
generate electricity! The basic concept of this technology is actually quite interesting. With over 2.5
million miles of paved roadway throughout the United States alone, even covering a fraction of those
roadway surfaces with solar panels could generate enormous amounts of clean energy. There are
currently two different approaches to the solar panel roadway concept, both of which are currently in
the Research and Development stages with prototypes already deployed. First, a company aptly named
Solar Roadways here in the United States, founded by Scott Brusaw, a US Marine Veteran turned
Electrical Engineer and his wife. Their concept replaces traditional paved roads with 4 square foot
hexagonal arrays. Each interlocking panel is individually replaceable, removing just four retaining
bolts and a single electrical/data connection. The Solar Roadways design requires a sophisticated sub
surface road bed with steel support columns and poured concrete with one side designated to channel
water runoff and provide drainage. The other side, large enough to support underground
telecommunication lines, electric power lines, DC AC converters, roadway panel wiring and still
allow for a man to fit inside to perform required servicing. These panels incorporate photovoltaic

A Push for Safer Crosswalks for RACC Students and Faculty...
In this modern day and age many drivers and pedestrians alike become easily distracted by: cell
phones, I Pods, navigation systems, as well as many other distractions. These distractions can make it
quite dangerous to even cross the street. It is quite shocking how worn and faded some of the
crosswalks at RACC have become. Even without the distractions the crosswalks are rather difficult to
see and be able to stop if a pedestrian steps into it. The crosswalks at RACC connect the main campus
with the parking lots, as well as other buildings, and classes just off campus. Having a student
population of almost 5,000 undergraduate students in addition to its full faculty and staff, a large
majority of these people have no choice but to park ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore while they are distracted and driving their focus must alternate between whatever other task
is at hand and driving. This draws their attention away from the road, which can potentially lead to an
accident. A crosswalk is generally designed to provide a safe path for pedestrians to cross by marking
the designated path that people can cross and in which motorist should be able to see. Should is the
keyword, because as the paint fades, chips, and wears from traffic; the path becomes harder for
motorist to see. The consequence of this is a driver will be less aware that someone may step into the
road trying to cross at these points. Laws and legislation are beginning to crack down on these drivers
but the roads are still a dangerous place for a person to be.
There are a multitude of options to increase the safety at cross walks. A pilot program in Virginia,
which is based off of similarly designed programs oversea, uses zigzagged lines painted on the road at
dangerous crossings ( Woodward, 2009). The idea is that the lines will draw a motorist s attention to
the road, the upcoming crosswalk, and they become aware of the potential for pedestrians to be
crossing. Placing a crossing guard at each crosswalk could serve the dual

Rhetorical Analysis Of Heroes By Tim O Brien
In Tim O Brien s Heroes, an eloquent speech delivered when he received an accolade, he tells a story
about a man named Elroy Birdall, the caretaker of some old yellow cabins along the Rainy River, who
took care of him for six days in the summer of 1968, during the Vietnam War. As he gives his speech,
he states that Elroy was a hero; more of a hero than the all stars. Due to his elaboration, we can see
that his message of heroism is that superior heroes are often unspoken, and he does this with figurative
language and compare contrast techniques. Throughout the speech, O Brien provides us with much
detail about Elroy, using imagery and similes. Despite Elroy being a plain 80 year old man, O Brien
describes him in such a way that brings light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to push his argument further, he links many negative adjectives and adverbs to the player. For
instance, O Brien says that the player is not even an all star who goes out to give speeches, but a
player who needs to go on TV to elucidate why he can t stop striking out (277). He does this to argue
that our average people can be more heroic than eminent baseball players and celebrity writers. He
redefines bravery when he makes the comparison between Elroy and himself. He says that Elroy was
brave for making his own choices, instead running from them, like he did, by saying that Elroy was a
hero, while he wasn t for going to Vietnam (278). He shares the negative adjectives of the baseball
player and of himself, a top writer, to prove that Elroy is a hero, and not all heroes need to we well
known. In addition to this, he compares Elroy with Abraham Lincoln s quote of you can fool some of
the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can t fool all of the people all
of the time (277). O Brien argues that this quote by Lincoln did not apply to Elroy by saying that there
should have been an extra clause in the statement to account for Elroy, because Elroy hardly ever got
fooled (277). While Elroy does not fit the stereotype of the big, strong, muscular hero, he fits another

A Brief Note On The State Of Diabetics Essay
Diabetics in Hidalgo County
Norma Valdez Rosa
South University Online May 23, 2016
DIABETICS IN HIDALGO COUNTY One of the most important health problems in my community
is Diabetes. The combination of an unhealthy diet, a sedentary lifestyle, the lack of health education
and access to preventative care services all contribute to this growing problem. The prevalence of
diabetes in Mexican Americans living in Hidalgo County for both men and women is 25.9 %, or 1 in
3.8 people, Hidalgo County s rates are double the statewide average of 9.7% for Texas and 9.3 % for
the US. The three top causes of death in adults in Hidalgo County are: cardiac, cancer and diabetes,
according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Because of the potential seriousness of
diabetes and all its associated medical conditions, serious attention needs to be given to its prevention
especially in light of the emerging epidemic of type 2 diabetes in youth (Bastida, Cuellar Villas,
2001).

Passionate Love In The Great Gatsby
The comaparitive study of texts over time offers insight into how changing social, cultual and

the differing attitudes towards passionate love, and the aspirations of indiviuals. Depsite the variations

Morrison And Pecola In The Bluest Eye By Toni Morrison
Pecola was an Eleven year old black girl who feels as if being white is the true meaning of beauty to
society and to herself. The Title of this Novel is The Bluest Eye written by Toni Morrison in the
African American Literature, The novel s focus, however, was on a young girl named Pecola
Breedlove. And Pecola, as we are told in Chapter 11,will be raped by her father around the novel s
end. The beginning states the story so that the reader can know about Pecola s story ending tragic. The
Breedloves were unhappy, and poor. Their story had seemed in many ways to be settled, as they were
often the victims of events of which they have no control over. Their situation was a huge contrast to
the MacTeers, who were of the slender means but had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It had occurred to Pecola some time ago that if her eyes...were different, that it is to say, beautiful, she
herself would be different. Voiced by Claudia MacTeer and she was showing how Pecola felt strongly
towards the fact that the was she was physically seen was ugly and she didn t accept her for any of it
whether she or others criticized her over how she was and This connects really strongly towards my
thesis on how Pecola felt as if she were only seen as an ugly little black girl to the society around her
who believed being white was the only

Political Correctness In Blazing Saddles
I don t think a movie like Blazing Saddles could be made today. Movies, money, and political
correctness, the new golden rule in American life, which is to never joke about anything that may be
deemed even remotely offensive or upsetting by any segment of the population for any reason. Watch
a movie like Dirty Harry or a Marilyn Monroe film, and they are tame compared to what we see in
today s horror movies like Saw . But with Hollywood comedy, it has gone in a different direction, in
the name of political correctness. I do not think a movie like Blazing Saddles could be made today.
Political correctness makes movie production companies not want to take risks. There is a good reason
for movie companies to play it safe today and it has little to do with the delicate sensibilities of the
audiences. It is a bigger business now than it ever ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Still, they are rewriting it in the name of political correctness. Political correctness is also killing the
comedy movie industry with a new era of censorship. The industry has undoubtedly seen some of the
worst mainstream comedies in recent memory, and it seems there is no end in sight. Most movie fans
are inundated with a glut of politically safe, unoriginal, loud, obnoxious, arrogant, brash comedies that
fail to raise the slightest hint of interest from audiences. Risk taking while movie making in the past
resulted in some of the most memorable comedy of all time. For example, Richard Pryor urged Mel
Brooks not to hold back on using the N word. Richard was quoted as saying to Mel, No, we are
writing a story of racial prejudice. That s the word, the only word. It s profound, it s real, and the more
we use it from the rednecks, the more the victory of the black sheriff will

Gene Patenting Research Paper
Modified Genes
Student X
University of the People
BUS 3305
Introduction A patent is a right, a monopoly of limited duration, in most cases it is for 20 years. It is a
right that prohibits other persons from making, using, selling or importing an invention. An invention
is one thing, a way of doing something, which is new, useful, and which does not already exist in
nature in the same form. There are several types of patent, but the one we are interested in is the
biological patent, which is a patent on an invention in the field of biology that allows the patent holder
to prevent others from making it from using it, selling it or importing it. The regulation of biological
patents varies from country to country and may include biological technologies and products.
Genetically modified organisms and genetic material. The patents of each country are valid only for
that country. Thus, a Canadian patent is only valid in Canada and has no application in Germany and
may contain specific rights, different from German patents. Each country grants its own patents, but
there are several broad principles that are common to all patent systems. A set of international
agreements establishes certain general standards that apply to patents; such as the duration of the
monopoly, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, since June 2013, gene patenting is no longer recognized in the United States. Indeed, the US
Supreme Court has held that genes, even isolated in the laboratory, are in fact creations of nature and
therefore unpatentable. To be considered patentable, the gene should also have been modified in the
laboratory. This decision was made in response to a lawsuit against Myriad Genetics, which holds
patents on the genes that determine predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer; The BRCA1 and
BRCA2 genes (Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad (13 June

Community In The Deaf Community
The Deaf community is comprised of people of a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds, as Deafness
prevails around the world; discriminating against none. The Deaf community grows continually. As a
hearing person learning about the community, it s distinctive culture and how to communicate in ASL,
I am developing myself and discovering my fairly new position within the Deaf community. Firstly, I
feel that the community itself is important in learning societal expectations and background
knowledge. For this, I feel I am beginning to understand the true nature of the community, and why it
is the way it is. For instance, the Deaf community is collective, unlike the hearing community, which
is individualistic. While I understand this as a fact, it is difficult to adjust and truly understand this
idea and the implications it may hold. In addition, I have noticed a sort of hierarchy within the Deaf
community, wherein certain members tend to be cherished to a higher degree, despite Deaf people
generally not bothering to hold a candle to one another s careers, economic ranking, etc. to determine
ranking. I feel that these cherished members are strong leaders and advocates in the Deaf community.
Hearing members of the community do not appear to have much in the way of ranking instead, they
use their position to voice Deaf people s positions, and point the media towards Deaf members of the
community. As well, there are Social Behaviour topics within the Deaf community. While the

Silversparkle Swot Analysis
Women both young and old have found solitude in services that Silverbackks provide. SilverSparkle is
another program designed to cater to women, mostly teen girls wishing to go to prom. Silversparkle is
a prom closet. Prom dresses are expensive, some girls don t get to go to prom because they can not
afford a dress. That stigma is no longer a problem. Most dresses are only worn once and have a lot of
life still left in them. Prom is a big deal, and every girl should get the chance to go and not be stopped
due to a dress. Dresses are donated and there are hundreds to chose from. They even will alter them
for free. The SilverSparkle team make the girls feel special and beautiful. SilverSparkle is more than
just taking the dress burden away. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

thousands dollars for each family of the two officers that were killed. Silverbackks volunteer s

Circle Of Willis Research Paper
The circle of Willis is a circular collection of blood vessels, which is formed when the blood flows
from the internal carotid artery and enters into the cranial cavity bilaterally. Once blood circulates into
the brain, it divides into the anterior cerebral artery and middle cerebral artery. The anterior cerebral
artery supplies blood to the medial surface of the frontal and parietal blobs, while the middle cerebral
supplies the lateral portions of the hemispheres and through branches that supply internal structures
such as basal ganglia and internal capsule. As the blood branches out into these structures, the anterior
cerebral arteries are connected to the anterior communicating artery. These connections form the
anterior half of the circle

How Did Nationalism Cause Ww2
People would do anything in order to ensure that their country would be the greatest in the world.
They do this because of nationalism, a very extreme form of belief and loyalty towards ones country.
This lead to many people believing their country was perfect; unequaled in economic, military, and
political power. Nationalism was very popular in the late 18th and 19th centuries; countries were
promoting nationalism in order to keep their citizens loyal. It played an important role in generating
conflict and revolutions during the World Wars and the Interwar years. WW1 s direct cause was the
assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, an event that was caused specifically because of
nationalism, but many other events that were also rooted by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Germany lost more than 13% of its land due to the limitations set by the treaty of Versailles, and the
people were outraged. It was soon said by Adolf Hitler, the restoration of the frontiers of 1914 could
be achieved only by blood ; showing that he knew that he must wage war if he wanted to regain the
lost land (Hitler, Mein Kampf). Once he came to power, Hitler was able to rally the people using the
idea of Lebensraum, or living space for the German people. The people were excited for Hitler
because they truly believed he would be the one to restore their losses. People soon began to follow
him more willingly, joining his Nazi party and increasing it substantially. He then invaded Poland, the
first step in his plan to conquer all of Germany s former lands. Japan waged war against China for the
same reason. More land was needed for the growing population, and the resources in Manchuria were
needed as well. Japan staged the Mukden incident to legitimize their reason for invasion, and this
depicts the effect that nationalism had on Japan s leader. They went as far as to stage an explosion on
their own train tracks to give them a reason for invading another country. These two ideas, the
Mukden incident and Lebensraum, show that nationalism led to the leaders of Japan and Germany to
go to the extreme in order to make their country a better place for themselves and for the people living

Susan Sontag s Notes On Camp
It is important to first be aware of the concrete definitions of low culture, as defined by Susan Sontag
in her Notes on Camp (1964) Low culture is a derogatory term for popular culture and working class
culture A direct opposite to this is high culture, often favoured by the elite. In which Sontag recognises
that both high culture and low culture are minority cultures. The combined influences of both strains
constitute mainstream culture . Before looking at what low culture Pope drew upon to produce his
own high art it is important to understand the context of Pope s writing and what was going on in
regards to Literary History of that time period.
The English Neo Classical Movement dominated English Literature from the Restoration (1660) to the
lyrical ballads of 1798,1800 and 1802. It is conventionally divided into three parts. These being the
Restoration Age (1600 1700) where figures such as John Milton and John Dryden were renowned.
The Augustan Age (1700 1750) where Alexander Pope himself was a central poetic figure and The
Age of Johnson (1750 1798). The primary focus is of course the Augustan Age, where Pope s work is
prevalent.
The Eighteenth century brought a new war of words, with a quarrel in 1690 s France in L Académie
Française, putting in to place a new historical sense of culture across Europe. The ideology is that
classical authors and learning could not be improved upon or surpassed by modern writers, instead
they should look to imitate the great

The Issues Of Financial Demands And Permits
In reaching an agreement on the issues of financial demands and permits, our party thought that the
last issue in the agenda was the press release; however, the mayors asked for an annual fixed payment
of $250,000.00 per town from the corporation. While our party was not provided with an acceptable
range to which we may agree upon as precluded by the confidential instructions, we instead offered to
pay $200,000.00 as a low cost inducement instead, to which the mayors agreed upon. In an effort to
reach an agreement with the counterparts to a positive press release of the corporation and its project,
our party agreed to the payment in the spirit of the consensus decision rule because the need for the
positive press release outweighed the need to minimize costs. In addition, the mayors offered to
promote the project in the towns with the use of the $200,000.00 as a form of marketing expense,
which the corporation could then respectively decrease from the marketing budget.
In reaching an agreement on the issues of financial demands, permits, and fixed payments, each one of
the parties were able to agree upon a positive press release with much ease, with an agreement that the
mayors would take actions in order to prevent the potential blocking of the access to the site (see
Appendix B for the final contract).
III. Cultural influences
A. Subgroup dominance Subgroups, as previously mentioned, were formed in the multiparty
negotiation, as the respective mayors of the

Essay On Night Of The Night
The eerie, soft but low wail of the dark figures around me echoed in the swirling wind as I dug my
claws into the frozen soil, staring longingly at the distant wooden house, my sharp, pale yellow eyes
barely able to see it through the thick sheet of descending snow. There I waited, alongside my allies,
watching every move from afar. The snowflakes came down quickly, speckling my light gray fur and
feeling as if a million tiny needles were piercing my bare nose. It had been hours since I started
observing. We had waited out here in the cold, waiting for a decent time to begin the hunt. The reek of
illness brought us here. That scent meant weakness, therefore food. The human that seems to stay
there is often afraid of us, since every night ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I broke the silence, muttering, She is being protected by another. We must get past her first. How?
Maliseet, the quietest wolf whispered, trembling in the cold as the kept his head low. We distract the
protector. Okalousa, second in command of the patrol grumbled. The pitch black wolf continued. We
act as if we are going to break down the door. Then, one of us tries to get through that small opening
beside the door, but be careful. It has an invisible wall. I nodded, immediately turning to the house
again. I finally spoke, Tinde, you get through the small opening first. Me? The light brown wolf
whined, then caught my piercing gaze and nodded nervously, taking the order. We all padded back to
the door, beginning to take a small jog at it as we came closer. Tinde suddenly burst into a sprint,
barreling herself into the door first. As soon as we all got to the door, we began slamming our sides
onto the door, rattling the wood vigorously. The screams sounded up again from inside. As we kept
bodychecking the frail door, Tinde took a few steps back and snarled, leaping up into the window and
disappearing into it, making an ear shattering noise as she broke through. Maliseet glanced up at the
window nervously, watching Tinde scramble to get inside, still digging at the soil underneath the door.
Suddenly, a deafening blast sounded, causing everybody

Prison Population Presentation Analysis
This week presentation was good. For the prison population, I knew a little bit from watching TV. I
love watching locked up and shows like that so the populations in prison didn t surprise me. I have to
say some of the more specific facts I didn t know too much about. Like age range, sexual make up,
crimes that are heavily arrested for. Over all I enjoyed it and will continue to watch prison based
shows.
I knew quite a bit about the female population. Being that I am female there were a few situations that
I related to and have personality experienced. I really enjoyed the activity where we stepped up for
what we have experienced in our lives. I think we all have more in common than we will admit. We all
can learn from each other and in time

  • 2. Essay On Marco Polo I have not told half of what I saw Marco Polo. Marco Polo was a world famous traveler and trader. The introductions of China and Asia, for many, was all thanks to him. Polo is most known for his travels to China and his book. His book describes the basis of the descriptions of places that were not really discovered. Polo s childhood was rough and unordinary. Polo was born around 1254 in Venice. Polo s mother died when Polo was young, leaving him with his father, Niccolo. Niccolo and Polo s uncle, Maffeo, however, left on a long expedition to Asia. This circumstance left Polo to be raised by his uncle and aunt. His uncle and aunt taught Polo how to read, write, calculate arithmetic, and to become a merchant (McNeese; History.com Staff). ... Polo, at that point, knew four different languages which Khan loved. Khan decided to employ Polo and to send him out to explore unexplored areas including China s eastern and southern provinces and parts of India and Southeast Asia. Polo s travels gave him great knowledge of the Mongol empire, and he introduced paper money to Europe. When Polo returned he started to govern a city in China because Khan was so impressed by his work. Khan later promoted him to an official of the Privy Council and to a tax collector in Yanzhou. • 3. Why The Allies Won The Battle Of Normandy Hitler and the Allies realized that a battle on the western coast of Europe would decide the outcome of the war. The Allies utilized this knowledge and began immediately planning Operation Overlord. Little did they know, the battle of Normandy would be the most significant Allied offensive battle on the Western front(Walker). In total, the operation would take the combined effort of 176,475 men, 3,000 guns, 1,500 tanks, and 15,000 other assorted vehicles (Walker). People recognize the glorious outcome of that fateful day, June 6,1944, but they don t know that it took months of strategizing, training, and weather forecasts until Operation Overlord became a legend amongst international armies. The planning of Operation Overlord began in 1943. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At first Operation Overlord was suppose to occur in May (Stagg 12),yet due to weather forecasts the plan was pushed back to June. Another problem was that every branch of the military wanted quiet weather . This entailed low tides so that the underwater obstacles could be seen, the low tide needed to be around mid morning so that they could bomb the defenses and so that a second low tide could roll in before darkness set in(Miller 171). The Air troops wanted no ground fog or heavy mist, no more than 6/10th of the sky be clouded, and a cloud base at least 3,000 feet above ground level. To ensure that the troops were not too widely spread to the wind speed would need to be 20 mph. With no gusts at the ground more than 30 mph(Stagg 13). The demands of the Air troopers were reasonable especially since they were going to be the first ones to land in the middle of the night and start the offensive. But, because of the weather many of the paratroopers missed their target and were separated from their group. The infamous 101st airborne was the only group that was able to stay together and suffer the least amount of casualties( in the book Band of Brothers one soldier not in their platoon asks Where the hell am I (Ambrose 75). Indicates the unorganized drops). After weekly updates( Eisenhower requested that the meteorologists give him detailed updates of the weather since January 1944) the operation was planned to go off on June 4, 1944. However, the sky began to seem ominous, and the meteorologist had to warn Eisenhower that a cold front that was expected to pass through Channel about Wednesday, would now be pushed forward earlier 24 or 36 hours earlier ( Stagg 102). With moments the operation was suspended. One day later on June 5,1944 paratroopers and bombers were able to go across the skies with almost clear skies ( other parts of the skies ... Technology was once a luxury but now transforming to a requirement. With such a demand for new technologies, for some a required resource, it is only fair and necessary to provide training and education of new technologies and how to operate the technology. The American Library Association (ALA) has determined that library information centers should incorporate technology and digital literacy. In 2015 research was conducted over the rising concerns of public library budget cuts, declining patron statistics, desired programs, and services. The key question was if the library was still a needed public service due to technology takeover of electronic resources. Research The 2015 Pew Research Center report, Libraries at the crossroads, discovered that the public does not want to lose the community library as that would be a major impact on the community. In fact, public opinion is strongly in support of library programs that advance education and improve digital literacy. The sample size consisted of 2,004 American s age 16 and older. The method used was a telephone survey conducted on both a landline and cellular service. Results indicated that; 78% of American s would like the public library to have programs that teach children and seniors how to use digital tools such as computers, smartphones, and ... The smaller hippocampus is thought to be diminished because of a persistent exposure to stress hormones, like cortisol, which impacts the growth of nerve cells. The hippocampus is highly susceptible to stress, perhaps because the protracted ontogeny or the high amount of glucocorticoid receptors (Uma Rao et al.; 2010). The longer the patient has depression, or the more episodes of depression the patient experiences, the smaller the hippocampal volumes become. Stress correlates with the smaller hippocampus, researchers used twenty nine patients with depression, twenty two patients with severe depression and thirty two control patients. All patients were around the same age, physically healthy, alcohol and drug free, and did not have any other kind of mental illness like bi polar disorder, autism, or schizophrenia. Structural imagery was used to obtain the images of each patients entire brain. Then an image was aligned with the anterior commissure and posterior commissure as well as the borders of the left and right hippocampus. From the MRI scans and using a formula the hippocampal volumes were figured. All of the patients were followed up on, every 6 months for up to five years. The results were conclusive, the severely depressed and the depressed patients had smaller hippocampal volumes when compared to the control subjects. The liver then has to work detoxify and remove the alcohol from the bloodstream. Once the liver finishes the oxidation process, the alcohol becomes water and carbon dioxide. If the alcohol accumulates in the body, it may destroy cells and organs. The oxidative metabolism prevents this from happening. When too much alcohol is ingested at once, the toxins take a toll on the body, starting with the liver. • 10. Sequencing Deficits Are Not Discriminatory Of Any Age Sequencing refers to the ability to carry out an activity in a logical, timely, and orderly manner (Early, 2006). Sequencing deficits are not discriminatory of any age and are commonly found in individuals with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, cognitive perceptual disorders, and mental health disorders. Some diagnoses that are tied to sequencing deficits are CVA, TBI, Autism, ADHD, and dementia, to name a few (Occupational Therapy s Role in Cognitive Disorders, 2011). Sequencing deficits may range from minor to severe and require occupational therapy to increase successful completion of everyday activities by providing techniques that improve task sequencing. Sequencing comes as automatic thought for most individuals when performing a simple task, such as making a bed or brushing teeth. For instance, individuals whose sequencing abilities are intact will know that a fitted sheet must be placed onto a bed before a comforter, but for some with cognitive deficits or learning disabilities, this task may be confusing and difficult to remember. Due to cognitive decline, individuals that once had the ability to perform tasks in correct sequences may now have difficulty doing so. These difficulties are common in patients with dementia as memory declines (Clark et al., 2012). Individuals with sequencing deficits require some form of visual aid or verbal cueing to complete a task correctly. If an individual who has difficulty sequencing activities ... • 14. The Searchers By John Ford John Ford s 1956 film, The Searchers, is a classic Western tale set in the staked plains, post Civil War era. Like most of John Ford s Western films, The Searchers is also filmed in Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah. John Ford first introduces Ethan Edwards (John Wayne) returning on horseback to his brother, Aaron Edwards s (Walter Coy) house three years after the Civil War. Ethan is introduced to Martin Pawley (Jeffery Hunter), the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. The film moves forward when Rev. Captain Clayton (Ward Bond) volunteers Ethan, Marty, and a group of men to search for the Jorgensen s missing cattle. The search turns its tracks when the men realize that the Edwards family have been killed by the Comanche Indians, and Debbie (Natalie Wood) and Lucy (Pippa Scott) are taken by Scar. Although Ethan is the anti hero, him and Marty are the protagonists of The Searchers. Both Ethan and Marty s lives are flipped upside down and are now on a journey to save Debbie and Lucy. The antagonist, Scar, is possibly considered Ethan s alter ego because they share several similarities. Throughout the film, Ethan and Marty face many challenges accepting their background and issues. The overall meaning of the film is to let go of the past and accept what the future has to offer; John Ford s use of paradigm, style, and themes drives the overall meaning throughout the film. Amy Ly International Policy Seminar Professor Danielson 10 March 2016 [Title] Introduction What is the effect of regime type on the duration of war and war s impact on political leaders? And how do these effects range in comparison to other variables, such as wealth, military power, or alliances? I hypothesize the following: longer wars have a worse impact on democracies than on dictatorships and mixed regimes, and as a result are shorter. In the first section of this paper, I define key terms used throughout the paper and review literature and theory related to the topic of war and regime type. In the next section, I Background and Literature Review Using [cite] s definition of regime type, I have identified three types of regimes in this paper: democracies, dictatorships, and mixed regimes. Democracies are defined as regimes that do not repress its people and include the highest proportion of the populace; dictatorships are highly repressive and exclude most of the population; and mixed regimes use moderate repression and exclude a significant proportion of their populace (CITE). To understand the reasoning behind my hypothesis, I turn to the democratic and inter democratic peace theories, in which my hypothesis is fundamentally rooted. These theories come from the liberal school of thought in international relations and posit that democracies do not, or are less likely, to go to war, and do not go to war with other democracies (Elman 758). Spirituals have adored God in the mystery of divine Providence. There seems to be no other solution than hope in the midst of despair. • 19. The Solar And Integrated Photovoltaic Panels That Generate... One of the most innovative and interesting ideas in renewable energy to hit the streets in recent years, happens to actually be the streets! I m talking about roadways with integrated photovoltaic panels that generate electricity! The basic concept of this technology is actually quite interesting. With over 2.5 million miles of paved roadway throughout the United States alone, even covering a fraction of those roadway surfaces with solar panels could generate enormous amounts of clean energy. There are currently two different approaches to the solar panel roadway concept, both of which are currently in the Research and Development stages with prototypes already deployed. First, a company aptly named Solar Roadways here in the United States, founded by Scott Brusaw, a US Marine Veteran turned Electrical Engineer and his wife. Their concept replaces traditional paved roads with 4 square foot hexagonal arrays. • 20. A Push for Safer Crosswalks for RACC Students and Faculty... In this modern day and age many drivers and pedestrians alike become easily distracted by: cell phones, I Pods, navigation systems, as well as many other distractions. These distractions can make it quite dangerous to even cross the street. It is quite shocking how worn and faded some of the crosswalks at RACC have become. Even without the distractions the crosswalks are rather difficult to see and be able to stop if a pedestrian steps into it. The crosswalks at RACC connect the main campus with the parking lots, as well as other buildings, and classes just off campus. Having a student population of almost 5,000 undergraduate students in addition to its full faculty and staff, a large majority of these people have no choice but to park ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore while they are distracted and driving their focus must alternate between whatever other task is at hand and driving. This draws their attention away from the road, which can potentially lead to an accident. A crosswalk is generally designed to provide a safe path for pedestrians to cross by marking the designated path that people can cross and in which motorist should be able to see. Should is the keyword, because as the paint fades, chips, and wears from traffic; the path becomes harder for motorist to see. The consequence of this is a driver will be less aware that someone may step into the road trying to cross at these points. Laws and legislation are beginning to crack down on these drivers but the roads are still a dangerous place for a person to be. There are a multitude of options to increase the safety at cross walks. A pilot program in Virginia, which is based off of similarly designed programs oversea, uses zigzagged lines painted on the road at dangerous crossings ( Woodward, 2009). The idea is that the lines will draw a motorist s attention to the road, the upcoming crosswalk, and they become aware of the potential for pedestrians to be crossing. Placing a crossing guard at each crosswalk could serve the dual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. Rhetorical Analysis Of Heroes By Tim O Brien In Tim O Brien s Heroes, an eloquent speech delivered when he received an accolade, he tells a story about a man named Elroy Birdall, the caretaker of some old yellow cabins along the Rainy River, who took care of him for six days in the summer of 1968, during the Vietnam War. As he gives his speech, he states that Elroy was a hero; more of a hero than the all stars. Due to his elaboration, we can see that his message of heroism is that superior heroes are often unspoken, and he does this with figurative language and compare contrast techniques. Throughout the speech, O Brien provides us with much detail about Elroy, using imagery and similes. Despite Elroy being a plain 80 year old man, O Brien describes him in such a way that brings light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to push his argument further, he links many negative adjectives and adverbs to the player. For instance, O Brien says that the player is not even an all star who goes out to give speeches, but a player who needs to go on TV to elucidate why he can t stop striking out (277). He does this to argue that our average people can be more heroic than eminent baseball players and celebrity writers. He redefines bravery when he makes the comparison between Elroy and himself. He says that Elroy was brave for making his own choices, instead running from them, like he did, by saying that Elroy was a hero, while he wasn t for going to Vietnam (278). He shares the negative adjectives of the baseball player and of himself, a top writer, to prove that Elroy is a hero, and not all heroes need to we well known. In addition to this, he compares Elroy with Abraham Lincoln s quote of you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can t fool all of the people all of the time (277). O Brien argues that this quote by Lincoln did not apply to Elroy by saying that there should have been an extra clause in the statement to account for Elroy, because Elroy hardly ever got fooled (277). While Elroy does not fit the stereotype of the big, strong, muscular hero, he fits another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Brief Note On The State Of Diabetics Essay Diabetics in Hidalgo County Norma Valdez Rosa South University Online May 23, 2016 DIABETICS IN HIDALGO COUNTY One of the most important health problems in my community is Diabetes. The combination of an unhealthy diet, a sedentary lifestyle, the lack of health education and access to preventative care services all contribute to this growing problem. The prevalence of diabetes in Mexican Americans living in Hidalgo County for both men and women is 25.9 %, or 1 in 3.8 people, Hidalgo County s rates are double the statewide average of 9.7% for Texas and 9.3 % for the US. The three top causes of death in adults in Hidalgo County are: cardiac, cancer and diabetes, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Because of the potential seriousness of diabetes and all its associated medical conditions, serious attention needs to be given to its prevention especially in light of the emerging epidemic of type 2 diabetes in youth (Bastida, Cuellar Villas, 2001). It is a right that prohibits other persons from making, using, selling or importing an invention. An invention is one thing, a way of doing something, which is new, useful, and which does not already exist in nature in the same form. There are several types of patent, but the one we are interested in is the biological patent, which is a patent on an invention in the field of biology that allows the patent holder to prevent others from making it from using it, selling it or importing it. The regulation of biological patents varies from country to country and may include biological technologies and products. Genetically modified organisms and genetic material. The patents of each country are valid only for that country. Thus, a Canadian patent is only valid in Canada and has no application in Germany and may contain specific rights, different from German patents. The Deaf community grows continually. As a hearing person learning about the community, it s distinctive culture and how to communicate in ASL, I am developing myself and discovering my fairly new position within the Deaf community. Firstly, I feel that the community itself is important in learning societal expectations and background knowledge. For this, I feel I am beginning to understand the true nature of the community, and why it is the way it is. For instance, the Deaf community is collective, unlike the hearing community, which is individualistic. While I understand this as a fact, it is difficult to adjust and truly understand this idea and the implications it may hold. In addition, I have noticed a sort of hierarchy within the Deaf community, wherein certain members tend to be cherished to a higher degree, despite Deaf people generally not bothering to hold a candle to one another s careers, economic ranking, etc. to determine ranking. I feel that these cherished members are strong leaders and advocates in the Deaf community. Hearing members of the community do not appear to have much in the way of ranking instead, they use their position to voice Deaf people s positions, and point the media towards Deaf members of the community. As well, there are Social Behaviour topics within the Deaf community. While the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Once he came to power, Hitler was able to rally the people using the idea of Lebensraum, or living space for the German people. The people were excited for Hitler because they truly believed he would be the one to restore their losses. People soon began to follow him more willingly, joining his Nazi party and increasing it substantially. He then invaded Poland, the first step in his plan to conquer all of Germany s former lands. Japan waged war against China for the same reason. More land was needed for the growing population, and the resources in Manchuria were needed as well. Japan staged the Mukden incident to legitimize their reason for invasion, and this depicts the effect that nationalism had on Japan s leader. They went as far as to stage an explosion on their own train tracks to give them a reason for invading another country. • 31. Susan Sontag s Notes On Camp It is important to first be aware of the concrete definitions of low culture, as defined by Susan Sontag in her Notes on Camp (1964) Low culture is a derogatory term for popular culture and working class culture A direct opposite to this is high culture, often favoured by the elite. In which Sontag recognises that both high culture and low culture are minority cultures. The combined influences of both strains constitute mainstream culture . Before looking at what low culture Pope drew upon to produce his own high art it is important to understand the context of Pope s writing and what was going on in regards to Literary History of that time period. The English Neo Classical Movement dominated English Literature from the Restoration (1660) to the lyrical ballads of 1798,1800 and 1802. It is conventionally divided into three parts. These being the Restoration Age (1600 1700) where figures such as John Milton and John Dryden were renowned. The Augustan Age (1700 1750) where Alexander Pope himself was a central poetic figure and The Age of Johnson (1750 1798). The primary focus is of course the Augustan Age, where Pope s work is prevalent. The Eighteenth century brought a new war of words, with a quarrel in 1690 s France in L Académie Française, putting in to place a new historical sense of culture across Europe. The ideology is that classical authors and learning could not be improved upon or surpassed by modern writers, instead they should look to imitate the great ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While our party was not provided with an acceptable range to which we may agree upon as precluded by the confidential instructions, we instead offered to pay $200,000.00 as a low cost inducement instead, to which the mayors agreed upon. In an effort to reach an agreement with the counterparts to a positive press release of the corporation and its project, our party agreed to the payment in the spirit of the consensus decision rule because the need for the positive press release outweighed the need to minimize costs. In addition, the mayors offered to promote the project in the towns with the use of the $200,000.00 as a form of marketing expense, which the corporation could then respectively decrease from the marketing budget. In reaching an agreement on the issues of financial demands, permits, and fixed payments, each one of the parties were able to agree upon a positive press release with much ease, with an agreement that the mayors would take actions in order to prevent the potential blocking of the access to the site (see Appendix B for the final contract).
