Toyota Production System (TPS)
(Value Adding Activity)
(Value Adding)
(Non-Value Adding Activity)
‘Lean’ is a way of working which identifies and eliminates waste to deliver improved value and service, based on identified customer requirements.

10. Lean production
Toyota Production System (TPS).
เป้าประสงค์ ของ lean production คือ"to get the right
things to the right place at the right time, the first time,
while minimizing waste and being open to change".
Muda
Muri
Muda – waste – and Mura – inconsistencies – must be
fed back to the Muri, or planning, stage for the next
project.
26. Overproduction (production ahead of demand)
Transportation (moving products that is not actually required to perform the
processing)
Waiting (waiting for the next production step)
Inventory (all components, work-in-progress and finished product not being
processed)
Motion (people or equipment moving or walking more than is required to
perform the processing)
Over Processing (due to poor tool or product design creating activity)
Defects (the effort involved in inspecting for and fixing defects)
28. Specify value from the standpoint of the end customer by product family.
Identify all the steps in the value stream for each product family,
eliminating every step and every action and every practice that does not
create value.
Make the remaining value-creating steps occur in a tight and integrated
sequence so the product will flow smoothly toward the customer.
As flow is introduced, let customers pull value from the next upstream
activity.
As these steps lead to greater transparency, enabling managers and teams
to eliminate further waste, pursue perfection through continuous
improvement.
45. 1. Eliminate waste
2. Minimize inventory
3. Maximize flow
4. Pull production from customer demand
5. Meet customer requirements
6. Do it right the first time
7. Empower workers
8. Design for rapid changeover
9. Partner with suppliers
10. Create a culture of continuous improvement
50. •ระบุลูกค้า customers–recipients, clients, payers &/or other
stakeholders (e.g. owners of interfacing processes)
•ระบุกระบวนการสร้างคุณค่าที่เป็ นอยู่ (value stream) -as it really
is, not as it is supposed to be
•ค้นหาและกาจัดความสูญเปล่า waste-all steps should directly
contribute to satisfying the need of the customer
demand from the customer).
(Getting ready: Champion; baseline)
(Getting people excited (‘home grown’ sticks
better); the way we work; encouraging behaviors; communication)
3. วางแผน (Identify gap (current v future); prioritize work areas;
develop training; agree metrics / forecasting)
(Deliver transformation –culture & performance; sustain
via alignment with priorities (business as usual)
56. The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of
getting started is breaking complex overwhelming tasks into
small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.
