As we come to the end of the term looking back at the previous diversity summaries I find that this
one in particular gave me more of an encouragement to think beyond what I already knew or didn t
know about religion, people s sexual orientation and disabilities. From my personal experience and
knowledge of other religions I was not expecting to see some that I have never even heard of before,
or how much a person s sexual orientation can have impacts on their lives. As for disabilities, I have a
brother who has a disability but it was a great learning experience, even with a short presentation on

Shakespearian tragedies usually have a well defined tragic hero. According to Aristotle, a Greek
philosopher, a tragic hero is a character of high rank and nobility, exhibits a tragic flaw, and
recognizes how his actions led to his eventual downfall. William Shakespeare s The Tragedy of Julius
Caesar incited a century old argument over who really deserves the title of The Tragic Hero. Many
argue that Caesar is the tragic hero. However, I believe that Brutus should hold the title of tragic hero

developed their own unique art style. Shgurr uses Sudo and has a rather simplistic art style. Vivziepop

In conclusion, animation can be a fun hobby or even an occupation. You must put work and thought

In the past two weeks we have managed to finish an old english poetry, Beowulf and watch a
documentary/film about evolution of superhero comic books. As we read the book, we were
acquainted with the customs, culture, and life of the Anglo Saxons. Ancestral Heritage and Individual
Reputation were the novel s prime factors. In Beowulf, I have noticed that every character is
introduced by being referred to their family lineage and as their fathers son or daughter. Fame played a
prominent role, because that s how the warrior or individual is evoked after death and even when
alive. Most characters pursue to live up to their ancestor s standards because of the pride they have for
how they acted boldly. Beowulf was very exaggerated, but that principal helped readers like me to
understand the importance of a scene or character. There was many repetitions through this poem,
which helped us have a fixed thought of what this novel was about. It repeated scenarios and
descriptions of a character countless times so the person reading it knows what was the novel mainly
about. I feel like the repetition and exaggeration helped this english poetry be passed down through
generations and stay alive currently. It gave us a picture of what the customs and life was like in
Scandinavia for the Anglo Saxons. Kinship, Brotherhood, Ancestry, and Glory was the essential motifs
in my opinion. I personally enjoyed reading literature out of my comfort zone. I don t read poetry

The common perception that a typical person will have if you mention Napoleon is the idea of a short,
angry, and bossy little man who is aggressive to compensate for being little, in other words having a
Napoleon Complex . Ironically the idea that Napoleon was a short man is false as he was average
height for his size at the time. A more useful way to look at a Napoleon complex would be to describe
it as, a person who is driven by a perceived handicap to overcompensate in other aspects, in their lives.
With this definition, we get what Napoleons mentality was through the course of his life. Napoleon
was born into nobility but had very little power at his disposal, to put himself in a position of power he
learned how to seemingly change his identity and raise himself in the ranks of the French military.

In Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried , O Brien created several allusions that each character
endured during the Vietnam War. Throughout the story were vast representations of the things the
soldiers carried both mentally and physically. The things they carried symbolized their individual roles
internally and externally. In addition to the symbolism, imagination was a focal theme that stood out
amongst the characters. This particular theme played a role as the silent killer amongst Lt. Cross and
the platoon both individually and collectively as a group. The theme of imagination created an in
depth look of how the war was perceived through each character which helped emphasize their
thoughts from an emotional standpoint of being young men out at war.
Imagination hindered the platoon which clouded their judgment and decision making. Instead of
