How Autonomy Should Be Fully Operate Themselves With No...
With the push from google and Tesla to develop fully autonomous cars, the big question I think
we should ask is should we? Should we develop vehicles that can fully operate themselves with
no possibility of human intervention? Since Google in the early 2000s, there has been a push
from manufacturers to produce vehicles that will one day be The driver. These systems can see
obstacles in front, behind, and all around themselves. They can brake, accelerate, make turns,
and park all by themselves, but should they have this level of control? Should we have some
level of control over these systems? I think the driverless discussion like many should meet in
the middle just like the old Diamond Rio song. Autonomy should benefit the elderly, the
disabled, and needy to provide levels of transportation, they otherwise wouldn t have. Autonomy
can take over on a crowded commute home after a long day of work. It can relieve the driver
when they need it, but people should always know how to drive, and we should continue to
bolster the transportation of our nation. The first article we will cover is Brian Fung s article, The
big question about driverless cars that no one seems able to answer. Fung deals with the large issue
of liability with driverless cars. He focuses on how insurance companies will have to adjust as cars
become increasingly more autonomous. Fung interviews several companies including State Farm,
Liberty Mutual, and the District of Columbia Insurance Federation. He

Southern Manifesto Argument Essay
The government can not change the rules if those rules are not in place in the first place.
Southern Manifesto is a very big argument whether or whether not racial segregation was in
place in school. Although it does not state that in the constitution Southern Manifesto was a
document published in 1956 and written by Richard Russell Jr., Lyndon B Johnson, and Strom
Thurmond. The Southern Manifesto was a document about the attempt to rebel and push back
the Brown vs Board of Edu. Southern Manifesto s purpose was to have racial segregation in
public areas. Brown vs Board of Edu. states that it is illegal to have racial segregation in school.
The argument was very strong because the constitution does not state anything about education.
Because the constitution did not state anything about education there was not a whole lot that
government could do to stop these actions from happening. In the case, they bring up past cases
like Plessy vs Ferguson to help back up their case. Plessy vs Ferguson, this case was about having
segregation laws. The Southern Manifesto used this to help support their case by looking into the
past and looking how it was a good time for them, not looking how it was an awful time for some
other people. In a way if I were to take my bias away from my view over this case, I could see how
people were not feeling the same way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Roberts vs Boston was a case where a little five year old girl named Sarah Roberts attended an all
black school which was eventually too far for her dad to drive to, there for her dad enrolled her
into an all white school, but when she attended the school the white parents would not allow their
kids to go to the school while she is there. I really could not see why this would be a problem but
if I must look into their eyes to see their view, they were taught that these people are different and

Gin And Beer Dbq
aWhilst both are portraits of the streets of London during 1751, they are depicted in extremely
different ways. Firstly, Source 3(a) is of the people of London drinking beer along the streets in
which the artist is showing drinking beer to be a healthy and sociable activity. In addition, the artist
has shown this through various scenarios on the street with painters working paintingsigns in the
street, people socialising with each other, people being educated through books and the decaying
pawn broker due to lack of use. The artist has used this image to show that beer contributes to
people s wellbeing in a positive way. Contrastingly, Source 3(b) is showing the effects of gin on

The graph clearly shows that gin was the drink of choice for a long time until prices rose in 1751
which caused the consumption of beer to spike. In conclusion, this source does not support the
proposition the problems of the eighteenth century London centred on the drinking of gin as it
makes no reference to the problems of the time, more showing the gin and beer drinking statistics.
Contrastingly, in Source 2, the author states reformers pointed to excessive gin drinking as the
cause of social unrest this statement supports the proposition. Additionally, this article also refers to
gin drinking being replacing food in people s diets whilst it did provide a large amount of calories it
lacked associated nutrients which may have led to malnutrition. Likewise, Source 3 majorly
supports the preposition as it is directly referring to the issues gin has caused within society. These
issues include poverty, irresponsible parenting, riots, malnutrition, starvation and homelessness.
Displayed as a visual representation, the author clearly communicates gin to be a prime reason for
the problems faced at the time. Lastly, in Source 4, the author is describing the alcohol as attacking
the economy people started to stop attending work due to the consistent alcoholism and hangovers.
Not to mention, this left no one to run businesses and keep civilisation running which resulted in
many issues for the government. In summary, this statement shows that Source 4 supports the
proposition by regarding gin drinking as the primary reason for economic

Brain Tumor Research Paper
Brain tumor
Clinical feature
A brain tumor is an abnormal development of tissue in the brain or central spine, which is
accountable for appropriate brain functionality. Brain and spinal cord tumors are atypical growths
of tissue found inside the skull or the bony spinal column, which are the chief constituents of the
central nervous system (CNS). Benign tumors are noncancerous and malignant tumors are
cancerous. The central nervous system (CNS) is accommodated within rigid, bony quarters (i.e.,
the skull and spinal column), so any uncharacteristic growth, whether benign or malignant, can
place burden on sensitive tissues and damage function. Tumors that instigate in the brain or spinal
cord are called primary tumors.
Causes
Most primary tumors are triggered by out of control growth amid cells that surround and support
neurons. In a trifling number of individuals, primary tumors might arise from particular genetic
ailment (e.g., neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis) or from exposure to radiation or cancer causing
compounds. The reason of most primary tumors remains unidentified. They are not transmissible
and, at this time, not avoidable.

are three standard kinds of treatment for malignant tumors: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation
therapy. New treatments are continually being researched and used in clinical trials throughout the

Counterintelligence In Law Enforcement
Badge and credentials, and firearms are issued to federal agents or law enforcement officers to
conduct official business and protect themselves and others. Agencies such as the Federal Bureau of
Investigations (FBI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the Army s Criminal Investigation
Division (CID), and many other federal agencies work in this capacity of carrying firearms, badge
and credentials without the associated stigma and constraints that counterintelligence suffer from.

resolve the issue all we need to do is get the memorandum completed, signed, and conduct some
training regarding carrying of firearms and use of force. By reaching out to our FBI, DEA, or
CID counter parts to conduct the firearms training, to the same standard they hold. This training
will count as a legitimate training for individual agents who are already concealed carry agents.
We operate in many of the same capacities, our ability to protect others and ourselves should not

fellow agents to do the right thing, and to police our own when they are not. As counterintelligence

Marsha Mouse Case Summary
In Marsha Mouse s case, therefore, it is necessary to determine whether the cost of installing an
elevator is a medical care. In C.L. Hayne Est. 22 TC 113, Dec. 20,288, a decedent was suffering
from a cerebral hemorrhage which caused complete paralysis of the left side of his body. Upon
the doctor s advice, an elevator was installed at his home from the first story to the second story.
The U.S. Tax Court denied the cost associated with an elevator as a medical expense deduction.
As per Court, under section 213, the use of the elevator was primarily to solve a transportation
issue to take the decedent to the lawn of his home. The elevator was not installed to mitigate or
cure of the paralytic condition of the decedent. Based on this case, Marsha Mouse may not deduct
any of the costs associated with the elevator as a medical expense. The reason is that primary use
of an elevator is to get around her home. However, there is no beneficial effect on her... Show more

for the prevention or mitigation of the osteo arthritis disease instead of solving transportation

Comparing Lan Yu And Bishonen
With the opening up of individuals and development of social progress, Asian cinematics start to
feature more same sex love stories. However, it is still difficult to watch queer movies in Mainland
China due to the local censorship and prejudice against homosexuality. Lan Yu directed by Stanly
Kwan and Bishonen directed by Yonfan are both queer movies featuring gayromance. These two
movies share certain similarities, but also differ significantly from each other. First of all, Lan Yu
and Bishonen are both released in Hong Kong, but banned in Mainland China. It is not surprising
because the mainland China citizens are culturally anti gay and are conservative minded. As Fran
Martin argues in Backward Glances, schoolgirl romances in Republican era China usually ended up

(Martin 119), which idealizes the marriage between a talented man and a beautiful woman. Martin
interprets the typical heterosexual romances as socially progressive (118). In addition, he claims
that the old patriarchal society reiterates and values feminine virginity and moral virtue. It is
appropriate to fall in love and have sex for cross gender couples, but homosexual sex is largely
tabooed and inferiorly viewed. Martin mentions the universalizing model of the homosexual lover
to reaffirm that the only possible outcome for homosexuals is family arranged cross gender
marriages, which follow the mainstream of society(102). Furthermore, social norm in China
believes that gay themed movies more or less advocate violence and arbitrary sex behaviors, which

Race And Ethnicity And Race

Anthropology 9: Society and Culture

Race and Ethnicity
Ethnicity and race have been used in American society to the point where both words are
indistinguishable from each other. Race is a social construct (Throop, Lecture, 10/8/2015). Race is a
social construct because race is used to differentiate the different ethnic groups from each other.
Race should not be used to separate the different ethnic groups. In American society, it is evident
that certain ethnic groups are singled out for the problems in our society. Usually those ethnic
groups are minorities. African Americans and Latinos are usually the minorities that are singled out
for the problems or benefit of the majority. In the article, Who Dat?: Race and Its Conspicuous
Consumption in Post Katrina New Orleans, Marc Perry states how African Americancitizens were
affected by the devastating hurricane Katrina in 2005 and how the citizens reacted before and after
hurricane Katrina to the relocation of African Americans to other places for the restructuring of
New Orleans (Perry). In a related article titled, Putting the Ninth Ward on the map: Race, Place,
and Transformation in Desire, New Orleans, Rachel Breunlin and Helen Regis state how African
Americans living in New Orleans before and after hurricane Katrina were being dislocated for the

Attitudes of Christianity and Islam Toward Merchants and...
From their origins to 1500, the attitudes of both Christian and Muslims toward trade shifted as
conditions in the Christian and Islamic worlds changed. In the beginning, Christian attitudes were
more negative, while Muslims tended to encourage and respect trade and merchants. Over time,
Muslims became more like early Christians in that they were suspicious of traders whereas the
Christians became more like the early Muslims, equating merchants (at least honest ones) with
doing God s work, reflecting the changed importance of trade in the high Middle Ages in Europe.
At their origins, Christians and Muslims had different views about merchants and traders. This can
be seen in the first two documents which are excerpts from the holy books of ... Show more content

Commerce is the increasing of capital by buying goods and attempting to sell them at a price
higher than their cost. Waiting for a rise in the market price or by transporting the goods to
another place where they are more keenly demanded. It is necessary to have enough initial capital
to pay in cash the sellers from whom one buys goods, to sell for cash as honesty. Dishonesty leads
on the one hand to fraud and the adulteration of goods and on the other to delays on payment which
diminish profits because capital remains idle during the interval. (Document 5, fourteen century
Universal History.) Evasiveness, litigation and disputation, all of which are characteristics of the
profession and qualities lead to a decrease and weakening in virtue which can mistaken as bias
because some may say this persona to commerce makes one a human being. This shows a much
more respectful view towards merchants and may reflect the fact that Muhammad, the founder of
Islam was a merchant himself.
Since this question is about attitudes about trade it would be more complete with documents
portraying the views of more groups. For example, letters from Muslim merchants would allow us
to examine that group s view about trade. Documents from Orthodox Christians would give a more
complete picture of the attitudes of Christianity. Collection records from Muslim mosques or
Christian churches would allow us to compare how each benefited from merchants and so be able to

Social, Political And Economic Implications Of Money
Throughout the course of this semester, we have examined the role of money in our society and
have been introduced to scholars and economists that have offered rationale for the social, political
and economic implications of money. One overwhelming theme that has lingered throughout most
of the readings and lectures is the idea of inequality, particularly within the scope of the American
economy. While other economies such as China or India are labor based economies, I have found
that America s Capitalist economy is fueled by multiple facets racial inequality. The moral
argument against racial inequality under an economic lens is simple yet, expected; when we deny
opportunities for people of color in the same way we have them established... Show more content on

Black men are being denied the chance of a full life with all of the rights; privileges and
opportunities of white men and similarly, the families/communities from which they come from
are also at a significant disadvantage. A National Bureau of Research study found that Black
families between 2004 2008 were 54% more likely to be charged higher on their mortgage rates
than white families. This fact alone drives two main issues I will explore in this paper: the
implications of socioeconomics and how inequality drives the American economy through the lens
of mortgage lending.
One theorist I will use to explore these ideas of inequality is John Maynard Keynes. Keynes
argued that capitalism is a mere congery of possessors and pursuers (Keynes 60) and he also
asserted that economic output is only based on the aggregate demand . Between 2004 2008, when
Black families were getting charged higher interest rates on their homes than white families with
similar incomes, large banks were pocketing millions of extra dollars from these families as many
of the rates today would have been considered sub prime rates .
This predatory act placed against people of color encouraged classism and as a result led to
negative socioeconomic outcomes moreover, the notion of white

Benefits Of Telecommuting From A Human Resource Essay
Telecommuting is an increasingly popular organizational dynamic that presents unique challenges
for workers, managers, and human resources departments regarding how employees relate to their
organizations, as well as what telecommuters need from their managers to be satisfied, committed
employees. Much is known about how employees in private companies relate to their organizations
in a standard work setting. However, little is understood about how teleworkers in government
organizations relate to their organizations, and how managerial leadership behaviors influence the
organizationally related outcomes of telecommuters (Dahlstrom, 2013, p. 438). The aforementioned
citation establishes a brief perspicacious perception into the fundamental intention of this module
one case assignment. Needless to say, this case assignment will embellish upon both the advantages
and disadvantages of telecommutingfrom a human resource (HR) professional angle. In addition to,
deliberating upon the added usefulness of telecommuting when recruiting new talent. Likewise, this
paper will determine the influence that the telecommuting will have on the overall image of an
organization. Lastly, this paper will present some examples of training concerning efficient
telecommuting. With that being said, let s launch this case assignment by exploring the pros and
cons of telecommuting.

The Man He Killed Poem Analysis
Poetry is used to describe more than it is used to define. Poetry expresses feeling and emotions
more than just a detailed story. Poetry can be used to go deeper into someone s personal thoughts
and emotions. In Shall I compare thee to a summer s day? by William Shakespeare, The
Whipping by Robert Hayden, and The Man He Killed by Thomas Hardy are great examples of
how inner emotions can be revealed through poetry. The three selections also give examples of
how they follow good poetry. In Shall I compare thee to a summer s day? , Shakespeare is utterly
honest about the person he is referring to. By comparing someone to a summer s day, he includes
the dislikes of a summer s day just as much as he compares the likes. I liked how he was honest
about the comparison to a summer s day. When most people think of a summer s day, they think
about the beautiful weather every day. What most people don t think about is about the scorching
hot temperatures that makes it unbearable to even step outside. This poem is qualifies as a GOOD

Hayden used visual image to describe the scene, it is easier to understand. The visual image of
this poem puts the readers in the shoes of the mother, the boy, and the person witnessing the

to the poem. The overall visual image used in this poem shows great emotion and visual

Hyperglycemia
Hyperglycemia literally means excessive glucose in the blood. It is a disease that is classified as
autoimmune because it is a result of the body attacking its own pancreatic cells which inhibits the
pancreas from producing the proper amount of insulin that the body requires. There are two
different classifications, Type I and Type II. They are diagnosed with these categories depending on
whether the body does not have enough insulin or rejects the insulin produced by the pancreas. Age
does not seem to have a direct correlation with this disease. Patients can be diagnosed as a child or
late adulthood, as it effects all age groups. There are many different signs and symptoms,

0,04 cm. I think this happened because the holes that were being blocked by the overlapping of
the cloth in value 0,04 were more than in the value of 0,02 cm. The more holes getting blocked
by the overlapping of the cloth will cause the light to not be able to pass through which then

Pros And Cons Of Tipping
Tipping, also called gratuity, is ingrained in American culture. The original meaning is said To
Insure Promptitude. The history of tipping began from England, but now it is essentially
unnecessary in England. After the Civil War, newly rich Americans visited Europe and knew
genteel rules, tips. However, as tipping became widespread in the U.S., people found tipping to
be antithetical to democracy and American ideals of equality. A New York Times editor
grumbled, once tipping got to hold in the United States, it spread rapidly like evil insects and
weeds (). In the past, there also was an action for abolishing to tip. The article of A Brief History
of Tipping says, In 1904, the Anti Tipping Society of America sprang up in Georgia, and its
100,000 members signed pledges not to tip anyone for a year. In 1909, Washington became the
first of six states to pass an anti tipping law. However, it could not continue for a long term. The
new laws rarely were enforced, and, by 1926, every anti tipping law had been repealed. () So, the
culture of tipping is still existing in many states in the U.S. On the other hand, even if workers
earn tips from customers, there are 43 states that have less than established minimum wages for
tipped employees by the federal government, and 19 of 43 states have only $2.13 as the
minimum wages.() The amount of tips is not stable every time. Some days may be higher and
other days may be lower. Does tipping really help them? Conventional wisdom claims that
tipping is an important part of the America. But I take a different view: I believe tipping should
be abolished because it is a repugnant custom. Now, tipping usually follows these rules: 10% if
you were unsatisfied, 15% if it was ok, 20% for excellent service, and 25% for outstanding
service. However, even if customers are not satisfied the service of servers, they tend to pay tips.
According to Michael Lynn, a professor at Cornell University s School of Hotel Administration,
There are five basic motives for tipping. Some people tip to show off. Some people tip to help the
server, to supplement their income and make them happy. Some people tip to get future service.
And then other people tip to avoid disapproval: You

Biological aspects
The toxicity of the two biorational insecticides, Spinosad and NPVs, against neonates of
Spodoptera littoralis (Bosiduval) (Lepidoptera:
Noctuidae) was tested under laboratory conditionsin order to determine the competitive efficacy.
The ability of Spinosad to protect the SpliNPV from Ultra Violet effects under synthetic laboratory
conditions was determined, and some biological aspects of both biorational insecticides and their
mixture were studied. In order to determine whether or not there is a synergetic effect when both
of these biorational pesticides are added together, six different Spinosad concentrations (1, 2, 5, 10,
15 and 30 ppm) alone and mixed with a sub lethal concentration of SpliNPV (1Г—10

NPVs mixed with LC10 of Spinosad, in order to investigate the ability of
Spinosad in prolonging the virus activity. Sample: Department of

Trust and Relationship Issues
| Trust and relationship issues| 4Q DRC401X AB213 07 Principles of Conflict Resolution Fall
2010| | Anthony Kemp| 12/12/2010|
|
Trust is a basic building block for all types of relationships. There should be one constant from the
relationship of a newborn baby with its mother, to the relationship of allied countries, and any other
relationship in between. That one constant should be trust. Without trust it is extremely difficult for
any relationship to be maintained. A relationship without trust is a relationship that is on a fast
track to a certain conflict. What is trust? From the Building Trust website, trust is defined as being
the willingness of a party (trustor) to be vulnerable to the actions of another ... Show more content

If you divorce somebody, then you believe that your spouse is incapable of something. If you hold
that belief, then you are failing to trust your spouse on some level. As a reader you might question
why I am talking about marriage and divorce. The reason being is that the marriage is the basic
building block to our society. What happens in the home is a microcosm of what happens in our
society as a whole. So if trust is rampant in the home, then it is rampant in all parts of our society.
Mistrust is so rampant in our society that it is big business and people are enamored by tales of
broken trust. I have already mentioned the TV show Cheaters . It is going into its eleventh season
of giving the American public the food to quell its appetite for broken trust. There are numerous
judge shows and other types of reality based shows that feed this appetite. In the writing of this
paper, I was looking for empirical data on the cost of mistrust, but I could not find any proper
sources. I know that the business of mistrust is a multi billion dollar industry. The litigation cost
alone is probably in the billions. The numbers could be astronomical if you throw in the private
investigation industry, health care cost due to mistrust, and lost productivity in business. Think of
all the additional tasks that are caused directly by lack of trust. Audit departments only exist
because of it. Companies keep voluminous records because they

Fast Fashion Vs Slow Fashion
Clothing has played an integral role in defining social status and providing functionality. Fashion
trends change faster than ever, and prices for clothing have never been so cheap. As a result
clothing production has become environmentally detrimental. This phenomenon, called fast
fashion, has inadvertently created a counter movement called slow fashion. Slow fashion aims to cut
down on clothingwasteby creating consumer awareness, increasing the lifespan of clothing, and
choosing ethical stores. While slow fashion, in theory, is an ideal method to curb clothing
disposal, it is not without its flaws. Clothes can be labeled in two categories. The first is
functionality. This is the physical quality and intrinsic value of wearing a particular garment. An
example of this may be pockets, or durable material type and quality. The second category is
expressiveness, which is defined by psychological responses and the beauty of clothing.
Expressiveness is important to communicate the identity of the wearer. Consumers have identified
that expressiveness is the more important of the two categories. Maintaining an in style
appearance is more important than having functionality (Niinimäki, 2). As a result of fast
fashion, the functionality of clothes has decreased while expressiveness has increased. Luxury
styles can move from high end fashion show to low end bargain clothing rack in a matter of weeks.
In order to do so, clothes are mass produced overseas for as cheap as

However, these discussions mostly are limited within a bunch of users, who read articles from
Yahoo page, forming an isolated deliberative group, this strengthen the fragmentation and
polarization of the opinions. (Sunstein, 2001, p. 65), to some extend, this also tells why rational
deliberation cannot fully promise the democracy on the Internet. Rasmussen (2008,p.9) also pointed
out that, debate often need to share moral values, but it is hard in an increasingly differentiate
Internet world. Internet users from around the world have different cultural backgrounds and
values, it is difficult to adhere a set of standardized requirements and propose a single solution for
the same problem. In summary , we can find Habermas s deliberative mode does not apply to multi
value society or virtual network space, as it put too much emphasis on communicative rationality
and consensus. Take the view from the actual operation of the network, due to site ownership,
network management system, executive power, the consumer ability to communicate and their use
of habits and many other issues are raised, such as: the vicious competition among interest groups,

Baz Luhrmann In William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
Baz Luhrmanns contribution to the art of film, brings about a flamboyant and revitalizing
side to the industry. Through the use of cinematic language, his story telling techniques and
belief in the theatrical cinema come to life.
Baz Luhrmann has a very distinctive directing approach with particular techniques that
define his style. He presents his films as if he were telling a story, which he invites you into.
His stories are simple and he tends to give away the ending at the beginning of the film,
which intrigues you to find out more about what had taken place. For example Romeo and
Juliet starts with a news flash on a television screen describing city brawls that have taken
place and later in the film there are more fights ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet s mothers
costumes give way to his exaggerated style.
The language Luhrmann has used in Romeo and Juliet is lifted from the pages id
Shakespeare s text, which is surprisingly pleasing as the dialogue fits seamlessly into the
style of the film. Luhrmann has stripped the dialogue right down to the necessities in order
to sell to a commercial, younger audience, who struggles to understand the complexities of
the original dialogue.
Baz Luhrmanns films are known for their outlandish visuals and mash up of music creatively
interwoven into the scene. Luhrmann is a master of knowing how to highlight important
ideas and themes in a work that he is adapting. In Romeo and Juliet, he recognized the
importance of violence, and how a modern audience would not understand sword fighting
as being of extreme violence because in today s society there are much more dangerous
weapons available. Therefore the use of guns and a modern setting of Verona were
introduced to the Shakespeare film adaptation.
Baz Luhrmann was criticised for the amount of partying and luxury shown in The Great
Gatsby for it was seen to be unrealistic to the time, even if it did take place during

It is typically of developed countries. Mortality rates down suddenly because of improvements in
agricultural techniques that increased crops, improved technology, advances in medicine and
literacy. Such changes are crucial to prolong live expectance of people and reduce mortality. In this
stage, there is an very significant increase of population. 3. In the phase three, there is the final of
the transition. Birth rates initiate a significant decline motivated by the access to contraception, the
incorporation of women to education and labor market, access to the welfare state, the process of
urbanization, replacing subsistence agriculture by agricultural market, along with other social
changes. The mortality rate continues the downward trend which began in the stage two and for
this reason, population growth in this stage remains relative high. The birth rate falls, the
mortality rate has reached low levels which slows vegetative growth. 4. On the phase four, the
demographic regimen modern is typical of post industrial societies and is characterized by the
significant decrease of birth rate which is almost equal to death rate. Consequently, with both rates
in similar figures, for very low, the Natural population growth is very low or almost zero.

Objectives And Objectives Of An Organization
As I ve explained in my previous article, the stakeholders in an organisation are its customers,
employers, employees, government, owners and suppliers amongst others. The stakeholder can
be a person, group or even an organisation that has an influence in a company. Stakeholders are
different from others as they can have a different type of influence on a business. Every business
has aims and objectives. An aim is a more broad term and is what the business would like to
achieve in the long term, where as an objective is more of a short term thorough approach on
how to achieve the long term aim. Detailed objectives are known as SMART objectives, this is a
mnemonic acronym, providing criteria to guide when setting objectives. These objectives go as
follows: * Specific Means that the objective the business would like to achieve is precise and
clearly stated. * Measurable The outcome the firm would like to achieve is a numeric value that
can be measured. * Achievable The objective should be possible by the organisation. * Realistic
The target is what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources. * Time The
objective will be met within a given period of time. Most businesses have general aims which
they can break down into detailed objectives. By arranging aims and objectives; firms give
themselves a sense of direction and purpose. With a general plan in place, a business can set
precise objectives and observe its progress towards achieving

The Influence of Television on Human Behavior
The role of the television is pretty simple; to entertain. Almost everyone on this planet own one
or more television(s). The television as we used to know is no longer in black and white or just a
tiny box but it is massively upgrading with the hi tech today that s why we see only see the flat
screen TVs now. It is almost as flat as this board. With these new modern technology, the human
behavioris also rapidly changing like I previously mentioned in my first topic. The human needs
and wants is basically a major issue covering our everyday life but here I am explaining it further
in a monkey see, monkey do situation which technically means what we see is what we do or a
better way is copying. So within this situation, we often get influenced by the media. For
instance, a zombie movie. What do we see in a zombie movie? Assassinations, survival, cool
gadgets, awesome stunts and cute movie casts. So by observing the cool aspects from the movie,
we would basically start picturing ourselves doing it even worse we are actually doing it by
imagining everyone on earth is a zombie and you d want to run around chopping their heads off.
This where the human behaviorreally takes place.
The main problem is we actually start believing in fantasies which slowly turns to reality where
people might actually think you re crazy. Remember when The Matrix was released? Yes, we
would literally see people doing slow motion acts which was fun because it was so influential that
it became a

Shrek kicks Donkey outside and Donkey keeps popping his head up in the window which annoys
Shrek.
There are three blind mice who tease Shrek by talking about the smell of cheese when they are

Survival of the Fittest

Darwin to explain the evolution of animal species. In the late 1800s, however, the idea of Social
Darwinism emerged and applied the same concepts of Darwinism but on humans not animals. As
defined by the dictionary, Social Darwinism is a belief, popular in the late Victorian era
throughout the world, which states that the strongest or toughest should survive and flourish in
society, while the weak and unfit should be allowed to die ( Social 1). Science fiction writer H.G.

(Parrington 9). In Wells mind, Capitalism eventually causes the demise of humankind because of
the inevitable division of society it creates. In the end, there will be a major rift between the two

working class. Wells grew up surrounded by those he most despised and has an ambivalent
attitude towards the leisure and proletariat classes (Hennelly 1). Before he became famous for his

he lacked the credentials and success to enter (Costa 12). Knowing this explains why Wells
welcomed a socialistic society void of rigid class structure. After examination of Wells life, it is
now easy to see why he has such apathy towards Social Darwinism. Furthermore, examination of

serious moral questions should you cut class, should you lie to your parents? Making decisions on
your own is hard enough, but when other people get involved and pressure you to make a certain ...

However, sometimes peers influence each other in negative ways. For example, a few kids in
school might try to get you to cut class with them or a kid in the neighborhood might want you
to vandalize with him. A powerful negative peer influence can motivate a teen to make choices
and engage in behavior that his or her values might otherwise reject. Teens who feel isolated or
rejected by their peers or in their family are more likely to engage in risky behaviors in order to fit
in with a group.
But why do kids give in to peer pressure? Some kids give in to peer pressure because they want to
be liked, to fit in, or because they worry that other kids may make fun of them if they don t go
along with the group. The need for acceptance, approval, and belonging is vital during the teen
years. Others may go along because they are curious to try something new that others are doing.
The idea that everyone s doing it may influence some kids to leave their better judgment, or their
common sense, behind.
Anyway, nearly everyone ends up in a sticky peer pressure situation at some point. No matter
how wisely you choose your friends, or how well you think you know them, sooner or later you ll
have to make decisions that are difficult and could be unpopular. But these situations can be
opportunities to figure out what are right for you. There is no magic for standing up to peer
pressure, but it does take courage, YOURS! Here are some

The Geography Of Paraguay
To begin, I will be writing about Paraguay. I will be writing about the country; where is it, and
climate. Also other things like the people, points of interest, and favorite holidays. I will also be
talking about the history, government, and geography of Paraguay. First, the geography of
Paraguay. The geography of Paraguay is about the size of California. The populationis at its most on
the grassy slopes, which is towards the Paraguay rivers . The part that isn t so populated in west
of and is called the Chaco region, where it is covered in marshes, lagoons, dense forests, and
jungles. It is surrounded by Brazil, and Bolivia. The climateof Paraguay is different than here in the
United State. Their winter is during May through September... Show more content on

In daily life Paraguayans eat corn, cassava, and beef. When they have special celebrations also
called asado they roast beef over an open fire. Also when men greet they usually give
handshakes, or with a girl as kiss on the cheek. When they come home they take an hour nap
after school or work. Social Activities include dance, soccer games, and volleyball games. One of
the most popular music is called Paraguayan Polka, and a popular dance called the Bottle Dance
where a woman dances with ten bottles of her head. When Paraguayans have free time they usually
laces make also known as Г‘andutГ or they make ceramics. Fifth, the economy of Paraguay.
Paraguay has a market economy which highly depends on agriculture products. The currency in
called Paraguayan guarani also PYG. Three out of the many exports that they have are leather,
soybeans, and cotton. Their three leading imports are vehicles, consumer goods, and tobacco.
Over the past years the agriculture exports have increased especially with soybeans. In
conclusion, Paraguay has a lot of places to see like the Iguazu Falls, Itaipu Dam, and Grand
Chaco. The weather there is fairly decent, and most population is in the grassy areas, and the
Chaco region is one of the places most people don t live. They are their own cultural ways, and
many customs like the Bottle

The Two X Linked Inheritence
X Linked Inheritence
The topic which is assogned to me is X linked inhertance that is a pattern of inheritance in which
the spread of traits differentiate according to the sex of the individual because the genes which are
present on the X chromosome have no counterparts on the Y chromosome. The inheritance pattern
can be recessive or dominant. The trait firm by a gene on the X chromosome is always expressed in
males.Because we know that males only d have one X chrmosome whichever the disease related to
it will express itself in the individual. Transmission from father to son does not occur. There are
two Kinds of X linked inheritance are X linked dominant inheritance and X linked recessive
inheritance.
1 X Linked Recessive Inheritance
Now lets us we some breif explanation of X linked recessive inheritance. it is a mode of inheritance
in which a mutation in a gene on the X chromosome causes the phenotype to be articulated in males
(who are necessarily hemizygous for the gene mutation because they have only one X chromosome)
and in females who are homozygous for the gene mutation (i.e., they have a duplicate of the gene
mutation on both of their two X chromosomes).
X linked inheritance can be expressed as the means that the gene causing the trait or the disorder is
present on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes while males have one X and one
Y chromosome. Carrier females who contain simply one replica of the mutation do not typically
state the phenotype though

Compare Death Of A Moth By Annie Dillard
Death of a Moth There are stories that have been written that can be similar and different in many
ways. This can be seen through the story, Death of a Moth by Virginia Woolf and Annie Dillard.
Both writers share a similar topic, though their style of narration can compare and differ in many
ways. A theme throughout the story is death. Both authors take on a different view of death. While
death can be seen as a haunting experience or the end of a life. There are other interpretations that
can be made on this one topic. Both authors have twists in their stories with different ideas, which
aid to reveal their narration and expression regarding death.
Something both authors did similarly discuss the setting. Dillard was very specific with the
setting of the environment she is narrating from. She states, while warbler swung in the leaves
overhead and bristle worms trailed their inches over the twiggy dirt at my feet; and I read every
night by candlelight, while barred owls called in the forest and pale moths massed round my
head in the clearing (Dillard) She goes in depth to construe and give her readers the real
visualizing feeling that they are with her as she speaks. Similarly, Woolfe depicts her setting with
detail as well. She states, Presumably it was mid day, and work in the fields had stopped. Stillness
and quiet had replaced the previous animation. The birds had taken themselves off to feed in the
brooks. The horses stood still. Yet the power was there, all

Colin Powell Speech
In Colin Powell s speech at the Colgate University, he states that the role of a leader is to put
people, real human beings in the best possible environment to achieve the purpose of the

role of a leader is creating a positive work environment that employees want to go to work to. The

  • 2. How Autonomy Should Be Fully Operate Themselves With No... With the push from google and Tesla to develop fully autonomous cars, the big question I think we should ask is should we? Should we develop vehicles that can fully operate themselves with no possibility of human intervention? Since Google in the early 2000s, there has been a push from manufacturers to produce vehicles that will one day be The driver. These systems can see obstacles in front, behind, and all around themselves. They can brake, accelerate, make turns, and park all by themselves, but should they have this level of control? Should we have some level of control over these systems? I think the driverless discussion like many should meet in the middle just like the old Diamond Rio song. Autonomy should benefit the elderly, the disabled, and needy to provide levels of transportation, they otherwise wouldn t have. Autonomy can take over on a crowded commute home after a long day of work. It can relieve the driver when they need it, but people should always know how to drive, and we should continue to bolster the transportation of our nation. The first article we will cover is Brian Fung s article, The big question about driverless cars that no one seems able to answer. Fung deals with the large issue of liability with driverless cars. He focuses on how insurance companies will have to adjust as cars become increasingly more autonomous. Fung interviews several companies including State Farm, Liberty Mutual, and the District of Columbia Insurance Federation. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Southern Manifesto Argument Essay The government can not change the rules if those rules are not in place in the first place. Southern Manifesto is a very big argument whether or whether not racial segregation was in place in school. Although it does not state that in the constitution Southern Manifesto was a document published in 1956 and written by Richard Russell Jr., Lyndon B Johnson, and Strom Thurmond. The Southern Manifesto was a document about the attempt to rebel and push back the Brown vs Board of Edu. Southern Manifesto s purpose was to have racial segregation in public areas. Brown vs Board of Edu. states that it is illegal to have racial segregation in school. The argument was very strong because the constitution does not state anything about education. Because the constitution did not state anything about education there was not a whole lot that government could do to stop these actions from happening. In the case, they bring up past cases like Plessy vs Ferguson to help back up their case. Plessy vs Ferguson, this case was about having segregation laws. The Southern Manifesto used this to help support their case by looking into the past and looking how it was a good time for them, not looking how it was an awful time for some other people. In a way if I were to take my bias away from my view over this case, I could see how people were not feeling the same way... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Roberts vs Boston was a case where a little five year old girl named Sarah Roberts attended an all black school which was eventually too far for her dad to drive to, there for her dad enrolled her into an all white school, but when she attended the school the white parents would not allow their kids to go to the school while she is there. Brain Tumor Research Paper Brain tumor Clinical feature A brain tumor is an abnormal development of tissue in the brain or central spine, which is accountable for appropriate brain functionality. Brain and spinal cord tumors are atypical growths of tissue found inside the skull or the bony spinal column, which are the chief constituents of the central nervous system (CNS). Benign tumors are noncancerous and malignant tumors are cancerous. The central nervous system (CNS) is accommodated within rigid, bony quarters (i.e., the skull and spinal column), so any uncharacteristic growth, whether benign or malignant, can place burden on sensitive tissues and damage function. Upon the doctor s advice, an elevator was installed at his home from the first story to the second story. The U.S. Tax Court denied the cost associated with an elevator as a medical expense deduction. This fact alone drives two main issues I will explore in this paper: the implications of socioeconomics and how inequality drives the American economy through the lens of mortgage lending. • 20. Pros And Cons Of Tipping Tipping, also called gratuity, is ingrained in American culture. The original meaning is said To Insure Promptitude. The history of tipping began from England, but now it is essentially unnecessary in England. After the Civil War, newly rich Americans visited Europe and knew genteel rules, tips. However, as tipping became widespread in the U.S., people found tipping to be antithetical to democracy and American ideals of equality. A New York Times editor grumbled, once tipping got to hold in the United States, it spread rapidly like evil insects and weeds (). In the past, there also was an action for abolishing to tip. The article of A Brief History of Tipping says, In 1904, the Anti Tipping Society of America sprang up in Georgia, and its 100,000 members signed pledges not to tip anyone for a year. In 1909, Washington became the first of six states to pass an anti tipping law. However, it could not continue for a long term. The new laws rarely were enforced, and, by 1926, every anti tipping law had been repealed. () So, the culture of tipping is still existing in many states in the U.S. On the other hand, even if workers earn tips from customers, there are 43 states that have less than established minimum wages for tipped employees by the federal government, and 19 of 43 states have only $2.13 as the minimum wages.() The amount of tips is not stable every time. Some days may be higher and other days may be lower. Does tipping really help them? Conventional wisdom claims that tipping is an important part of the America. But I take a different view: I believe tipping should be abolished because it is a repugnant custom. Now, tipping usually follows these rules: 10% if you were unsatisfied, 15% if it was ok, 20% for excellent service, and 25% for outstanding service. However, even if customers are not satisfied the service of servers, they tend to pay tips. • 25. Fast Fashion Vs Slow Fashion Clothing has played an integral role in defining social status and providing functionality. Fashion trends change faster than ever, and prices for clothing have never been so cheap. As a result clothing production has become environmentally detrimental. This phenomenon, called fast fashion, has inadvertently created a counter movement called slow fashion. Slow fashion aims to cut down on clothingwasteby creating consumer awareness, increasing the lifespan of clothing, and choosing ethical stores. While slow fashion, in theory, is an ideal method to curb clothing disposal, it is not without its flaws. Clothes can be labeled in two categories. The first is functionality. This is the physical quality and intrinsic value of wearing a particular garment. An example of this may be pockets, or durable material type and quality. The second category is expressiveness, which is defined by psychological responses and the beauty of clothing. Expressiveness is important to communicate the identity of the wearer. Consumers have identified that expressiveness is the more important of the two categories. Maintaining an in style appearance is more important than having functionality (NiinimГ¤ki, 2). As a result of fast fashion, the functionality of clothes has decreased while expressiveness has increased. Luxury styles can move from high end fashion show to low end bargain clothing rack in a matter of weeks. In order to do so, clothes are mass produced overseas for as cheap as ... Objectives And Objectives Of An Organization As I ve explained in my previous article, the stakeholders in an organisation are its customers, employers, employees, government, owners and suppliers amongst others. The stakeholder can be a person, group or even an organisation that has an influence in a company. Stakeholders are different from others as they can have a different type of influence on a business. Every business has aims and objectives. An aim is a more broad term and is what the business would like to achieve in the long term, where as an objective is more of a short term thorough approach on how to achieve the long term aim. So within this situation, we often get influenced by the media. For instance, a zombie movie. What do we see in a zombie movie? Assassinations, survival, cool gadgets, awesome stunts and cute movie casts. So by observing the cool aspects from the movie, we would basically start picturing ourselves doing it even worse we are actually doing it by imagining everyone on earth is a zombie and you d want to run around chopping their heads off. This where the human behaviorreally takes place. The main problem is we actually start believing in fantasies which slowly turns to reality where people might actually think you re crazy.
