A Cultural Analysis Of Bluebeard
Fairy tales have always been revalent in our society and throughout history. From entertaining
children to demonstrating why one should stray away from immoral things, these classic stories
are rooted in a rich history. Originally fairy tales were used as warning for adults, hence the
gruesome elements found in the original stories, but they have since evolved into tales that
children of all ages can enjoy. Because of the deep history and ability to be related to, cultural
importance has been put on these narratives. The social significance is implied through the
numerous retelling of specific classic fairytales and the hype around those classic characters. While
these narratives have many important lessons that can be learned from reading... Show more content

In the beginning of the story Bluebeard he was obliged to take a country journey for six weeks

is away on his trip, the wife opens the small door at the end of the hallway; this action causes the
wife to be almost killed. Later on towards the end of the tale, the wife asks Anne, sister Anne, do
you see anyone coming? (Perrault). The number three is commonly used when symbolizing the
divine and holy, but can also be used to denote life. Anne is the character that saves the wife from

Symbolic Interactionism Theory
Conflict and symbolic interactionism theories can help explain the necessary power level
preconditions of police brutality against black bodies. Police brutality is a form of Institutional
racism in the way policies and laws are crafted and put into practice, such as the decades long set of
policing and legal policies known as The War on Drugs, which has disproportionately targeted
neighbourhoods and communities that are predominantly black. The policeforce is one of the most
visible features of control and governance. Law enforcement officers engage in abusive behaviours
against civilians despite their duty to ensure the public s safety the weak in our society more prone

Enter Three Witches Pros And Cons
A Critique of Enter Three Witches The book Enter Three Witches: A Story of Macbeth by
Caroline B. Cooney gives an account of fictional characters that could have existed in the play
Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The bookfollows the lives of Lady Mary, Ildred, Swin, Seyton,
and Fleance. The idea behind the book was ingenious and had many good qualities, but there were
also some cons.
Frist to address the pros. Caroline Cooney did an excellent job on staying true to the story of
Macbeth, while showing it in the eyes of different characters. The characters also in her book were
very well rounded and the connection between a character and a reader is certainly there. For
example, Swin in the beginning of the story seemed like the oppressor

Lgbt Community And The Community
The main topic of the paper will be discussing about the LGBT community or, also known as the
GLBT community, which is defined as a group of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. The
LGBT community organizes a lot of support and movement for civil rights all around the world,
for example, parades. The paper in mind for this integrative project will be discussing about how
North Americans became more approachable to be acceptant towards the LGBTcommunity mainly
concentrating in Canada and the United States. This topic is relevant for the world we live in
since; the LGBT community is a big part of our culture and these individuals still needs to be heard
from this day. They are human beings just like heterosexual people, yet they... Show more content

The concept of homophobia/biphobia/transphobia will be relevant to the research since it will

key characters . The concepts reinforced in this discipline will be the key events that altered the
way individuals saw the LGBT community, and key characters who changed the way people
perceived the LGBT community. These issues will help to understand the improvement and
diminishment with key events and key characters from the past six decades. It is in fact true,
North Americans societal attitudes have increased according to researches, that society is more
accepting toward the LGBT community. However, only 19% from the LGBT community says
there is a lot of social acceptance in our current world. Whereas a lot of the people from this
group says they still have been rejected by their family and been called by slurs or jokes.
However, the media has been working a lot more into spreading the message of the acceptance and
equality amongst this discriminated community. Brands and medias (television shows, movies,
reality shows) have been including people from the LGBT community in their work, for example,
Disney kids TV shows now show same sex parents and American Eagle includes gay couples and
heterosexual couples in their commercials. This paper

Boxing In the 1920s was remarkably popular and it conventionality increased in gargantuous
numbers. Multiple fights during this era occurred such as Benny Leonard versus Richie Mitchell, or
Jack Britton against Ted The Kid Lewis, other widespread events held thousands of people attending
matches. Both men and women participated in these events, however, boxing was not ubiquitously
held in the states because of its affiliation with gambling leading to baseball to maintain the

Essay about Censorship Laws and Practices in China
Censorship Laws and Practices in China
Introduction China joined the global Internet age in 1994, and has been commercially available
since 1995. Since then, Chinese Internet usage has seen explosive growth, doubling every six
months, and the number of online users is only second to the US. The Internet age ushered in the
information age with a new world of freedom and expression for the Chinese. However, soon after
its inception, the Chinese government has reined in the free wheeling Internet users and has imposed
new laws and restrictions to access and content on the Internet.
It is interesting to note that some of the new Internet regulations contradict International Laws
signed by the Chinese government. China signed the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Measures for Managing Internet Information Services outlined what and how hosts should monitor
Internet traffic. This document explicitly stated which forms of speech are not expectable. Any
speech or information, harmful to the state, containing differing views on religion, or those that
may cause disorder or lead to national disunity have been stated.
In, 2001, the Internet censorship laws went to the ultimate extreme. If state secrets are exported
from China, the government can impose harsh penalties such as imprisonment and confiscation all
belongings, and in extreme cases, the death penalty. In 2002, China banned those under the age of
18 from using Internet cafes. Internet cafe users are banned from viewing websites pose threats to
state security i.e. websites with violence, sexuality, or heretic messages.
The Chinese government had enforced these rules and regulations through blocking, filtering and
shutting down Internet cafes. According to Amnesty International, the Chinese government
routinely blocks news sites, especially those with dissident views or banned groups. Anniversary s

Pornography Viewed by The Four Ethical Standards Essay
The word Pornography is defined as writings, photographs, movies, etc., intended to arouse sexual
excitement . With each year that passes pornography has been more and more accepted, it can be
seen in books, magazines, cable television and most of all through the internet. Many religions go
against it, but at the same time people know that there is a reason why people go into the business
and accepted it an other people just like it. In this paper I will talk about pornography and how it is
viewed by the four ethical standards (Utilitarian, Kant, Human Rightsand Justice is Fairness).
Utility (Utilitarian) is measured by the amount of benefits for all people or greatest number of
people. By this pornography is accepted since it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Off course there are exemptions on which people are brought into the business against there
own will. By this standard if you choose to go into the business then by K 2 standards it is
ethical. K 1 applies the Universality principle, which asks the question Would a person in a
similar circumstance do the same thing? Most of the people who are in the pornography business
know that they could be making money in another way. And if asked, they would not like their son
or daughter to follow their steps. By this it would flunk the K 1 standard. K 3 applies the publicity
test, which asks Would I be willing to tell my grandmother? By majority nobody would tell their
grandmother about it, if he or she is working in pornography. It would flunk the publicity test.
Human Rights are what more people are concerned with. Pornography fits in where people have
the freedom of speech, life and the right to pursue happiness. While people are doing it by their
own means and have the adequate age then pornography is all right. In my opinion pornography
does violate welfare rights, since pornography is not considered a moral and ethical way of living
because it is not a descent environment. Pornography under the principle of equal liberty it is
accepted since it gives liberty to choose. But the only thing is that not everyone respects the people
who work in pornography, because they don t think it is right to make their living in that way.

History And Development Of Modern Operative Obstetrics Essay
Chapter 2 2.1 History of caesarean section and development of modern operative obstetrics The
first modern caesarean section was performed by German gynaecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer
in 1881.(1) Probably the very first documented evidence of caesarean birth is a legal text dating
to theera of Hammurabi (1795 1750 BC), describing the birth of a male child pulled out of the
womb of a deceased woman (7). The name sectio caesarea was first used by the French
obstetrician Guillimeau in 1598. At that time, the operation was used to deliver live babies
from dead mothers (4). There are three different explanations about the origin of the name of the
operation. 1)In 715 BC, the King of Rome, Numa Pompilius, codified the Roman laws.
According to the law, it was forbidden to bury a dead pregnant woman before the fetus was
excised. If the child was alive, it was called a caeson . This law, Lex Caesaris or Lex Caesarea, is
assumed to be the origin for the name of the procedure cesarean section (4, 7, 9). 2)It has also
been stated, that Julius Caesar has been delivered by this method, and gave the name for the
operation. This is considered unlikely, because his mother is known to have been alive during
Julius Caesars adulthood. During his reign about 100 BC no woman is known to have survived
the operation. 3)A third explanation is that the name is simply derived from the Latin verb
caedare, to cut. The word section is also derived from the latin verb secare, to cut (4).

mistress. With the ending of this relationship Roxana then decides to return to London and she
seeks the assistance of a Dutch merchant in moving her considerable financial assets. The Dutch
merchant introduces her to a Jewish appraiser, who recognizes them as stolen an tries to have
Roxana arrested. The honest Dutch merchant assists in helping Roxana to escape the grasp of the
Jew and transfers her fortune to Amsterdam. When she goes there to collect it, he proposes
marriage. Roxana persistently refuses marriage because she will not give up her freedom. She
offers to sleep with him to repay him for his kindness, but states that marriage is the one thing she
cannot give him. Roxana argues, I thought a Woman was a free Agent, as well as a Man , that the
very Nature of the Marriage Contract was, in short, nothing but giving up Liberty, Estate, Authority,

Airport Appearances
A shrieking whistle breaks the dark silence of the room. I roll over with a dazed groan and slam on
the snooze.
5:00 a.m. Why do the nights go so much quicker than the days? , I ask myself as I roll back over
in a futile attempt to relish the extra seven minutes I ve been granted by the neon globe on my night
stand.
5:02 a.m. There are a few things I can see without my glasses in the dim light of the morning, and
this is one of them: Seven extra minutes are not going to compensate for last night s fun. It s time

Once in the car I turn up the heat to 4 and start to munch on a piece of toast. Dave and Lee, my
morning companions, are at work on the radio and I begin my commute.
We re seven miles from the airport which I have timed to take about twenty minutes, on a good
day. Around me shadows of house flash by. In the distance I see the boxy form of an MTC at the
stop light on Nicollet. I know that if I time it right, I can miss these reds. My morning challenge.
Beat the red light.
You start seeing the lights about two miles from the airport. Especially the Rabbit. You couldn t
miss it if you tried. I m surrounded by taxis, mostly, and a few other crazy commuters like me. It

evenings off are great.
Once I reach the airport, I park my car and ride a shuttle to the terminal. It runs in ten minute
intervals, and I always try to catch the 6:10. I join the others who wait in silent communion.
Good morning, the bus driver says in the most cheerful tone he can muster after an exciting evening

Good morning, I mutter back and then rush hastily to find a seat. If you don t move quick you end

Understanding Technology in Neuromancer
Understanding Technology in Neuromancer Neuromancer, written by William Gibson in 1984, is a
novel well ahead of its time. The book predicted many concepts about the internet and cyberspace
that exist today. Neuromancer, of the prophetic genre, is a novel that accurately describes and
predicts what will happen in the future. Characteristics of the prophetic novel include: dystopian
societies, technologies, and progressive thinking. Neuromancer is considered a prophetic novel
because it contains many aspects distinct to its genre, such as unique characters, futuristic settings,
introspective themes, complex plots, dark atmospheres, and resistant tones. Although the prophetic
genre may not appeal to everyone, it certainly is a genre with fresh ideas and innovative thinking.
Characters The characters of Neuromancer are very unusual and diverse. Henry Dorsett Case is the
computer hacking, drug abusing protagonist of the novel. He is always in danger of something,
whether it is the police arresting him for hacking into a major corporation s database, or battling his
own drug addiction. His problems really begin when he betrays his employers and steals important
data from their computers. They then punish him by crippling his nervous system and taking his
hacking talent from his brain so he can t go into cyberspace. He then turns to methamphetamine,

Although, conflicts such as the American Civil war and the Revolutionary war do interest me,
my main interest lies within conflicts in the 20th century. I have watched many documentaries
featuring first hand accounts of military personnel and their experience in combat. In school and
out of school, the one war that comes up the most is WW2. I know about how Germany was the
main problem in ww2 and also the persecution of Jews, gypsies, gays, and many other people.
But I didn t realize until after starting this project, that I had never learned a lot about ww1. This
book not only taught me of some factors leading up to the war, but it also gave me an interest of
ww1. One thing I learned was that William the II of Germany did not like Edward the VII of
England because he had denied any alliances or treaties between Negland and Germany. Instead,
Edward formed an alliance with France. I learned this on page two when William says that he is
happy that Edward it dead. Not everything about this book was good in my opinion. Most books
that I read are fictional/fantasy books. Therefore, this book wasn t necessarily a walk in the park

due to the fact that the book was very randomly organized and didn t really follow the
chronological order of events in history. For example, in the beginning it was talking about King

The Ethics Of Virtue By Kant And Mill
In this article the authors take the approach of analyzing three famous ethical theories. They look at
the ethics of virtue by Aristotle, Immanuel Kant s deontological ethics, and John Stuart Mill s
utilitarian happiness principle. They explain what each of these great thinkers argued constitutes
moral behavior as well as their thoughts on what drives such behavior. They then apply these
concepts to ethicstraining programs of modern day corporations. In short, one must have an
understanding of the impetus of people s ethical behaviors in order to implement an appropriate
program to cultivate and reinforce the desired organization s ethics.
Aristotle, Kant and Mill are set up as figurative Ethics Officers who would design an ethics program

Review Of The Sorcerer s Stone
Over the course of this semester I have completed most of the Harry Potter Series. I have Noticed a
certain theme to all the books. Severus Snape is never really identified as a hero, or as a heel.
Through all the books he is performs acts or cruelty and redeems himself with acts of kindness. He
does it in a vise versa manner as well. It s hard for the reader to out their finger, or their perspective
on Severus Snape. The reader is basically on a rollercoaster ride with Snape.
In the sorcerer s stone, when Harry is partaking in the quittage match between Gryffindor and
Slythern, Harry s Broom goes rouge on him. Hermione and Ron believe Snape is casting a spell
on harry causing The Broom to have a falling out. They Later find out that it is professor Quirrell
who preforming this spell on Harry s broom, and Snape is really trying to protect Harry. They are
also led to Believe that Snape was the thief of the sorcerer s stone. In this book we get the sense
that Snape is a Shady character, but in the end just a shady character

Thyroid Gland ( Tg )
Introduction
Thyroid gland (TG) secretes thyroxin and triiodothyronine (Garber et al., 2012). Its main
function is to make hormones and main job is to produce hormones T4 and T3 (Mortimer,
2011). To do this the human TG has to take a form of iodine from the bloodstream into the human
TG (Garber et al., 2012). This substance then undergoes a numerous of different chemical
reactions which resulted in the production of T3 and T4 (Mortimer, 2011). In order to make T4
and T3, TG needs iodine, a substance found in the food, both T4 and T3 contains four atoms of
iodine. T4 is then converted to T3 through the cells and tissues of the human body. More active
hormone is T3, because it influences the activity of all the cells and tissues of the human body.
Thyroid is controlled by hormones produced by hypothalamus and pituitary. Besides, these secreted
hormones in the TG are essential for normal growth, better development and metabolic function.
Thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) stimulates the pituitary to secrete TSH which in turn acts on
the TG to cause synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones. Altered thyroid function is common
and respectively the release of TRH and TSH enable feedback of the hormones on the pituitary and
hypothalamus to inhibit synthesis. For example, a prevalence of hypothyroidism has been reported
in the literature that up to ten percentage in the general population is possible expected to occur.
It is an essential to have accurate assays of thyroid

Apart from these classic hallmarks, increasing evidence has demonstrated uncontrolled glial
activation and neuroinflammation in AD brain may contribute independently to neural dysfunction
and cell death (Akiyama et al., 2000; Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002). Robust activation of
microglia has been found in and around the area of amyloid plaques in the AD brain, and reactive
astrocytes have been shown to form a halo surrounding the amyloid plaques (Itagaki et al., 1989;

in both patients with AD and transgenic animal models of AD (Griffin et al., 1989; Akiyama et al.,

targeting neuroinflammation might provide benefits for the prevention and treatment of this
devastating disease. In the central nervous system, microglia and astrocytes are the major type of
glial cells, and activation of these cells has been involved in all neurodegenerative diseases (Wyss
Coray and Mucke, 2002). Nevertheless, the diverse physiological functions of glial activation might

Synthesis And Function Of The Dopamine Transporter
In this experiment, the reaction that occurs because of ligand binding to YFP, a dopamine
transporter was observed. This experiment required sterility practice, immunofluorescence staining,
and colocalization. To accurately conduct immunofluorescence staining, a thorough understanding
of proper sterile techniques is needed. Sterility refers to cell culturing experiments without any
contamination, therefore all of the experiment was performed under the hood. No discoloration
signified no contamination. The entire experiment proved successful upon identifying the YFP
dopaminefollowed by colocalization and concluding with a release of calcium in the cell.

clinical depression, and alcoholism. The gene that encodes the DAT proteinis located on human
chromosome 5, consists of 15 coding exons, and is roughly 64 kbp long.
Dopamine biosynthesis
Dopamine is an organic molecule that is made up in the dopaminergic neurons through the
expulsion of a carboxyl group from the L Dopa molecule.

Tyrosine в†’ L Dopa в†’ Dopamine
This chemical functions as a neurotransmitter in nerve cells by sending signals to other nerve
cells. DA is produced in the brain, kidneys, plants, and most multicellular animals. The first step
in the biosynthesis of Dopamine uses the enzyme Tyrosine Hydroxylase which is biosynthesised.
The complete reaction for this goes as follows: L tyrosine + THFA + O2 + Fe2+ L dopa + DHFA +

Voter Capabilities
INTRODUCTION
Citizens, politicians, and officials have been in heated debates on whether Americans are capable
of handling their responsibilities that are given just for being a citizen. Voting is a personal
choice for Americans. The fears of losing rights and freedom have been present for many decades
and centuries. Everybody is concerned that citizens may not be as free as they once were. People
fought hard to make every American citizen free. Citizens who complain that our government is not
perfect and is not doing well for the United States are people who usually do not even vote. One
vote can make a difference. Citizens are extremely concerned with our rights and freedom, but do
not even attempt to make a change. Citizens are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Citizens are not always informed when they go to the voting booth and mark their candidate. If the
democratic system depended solely on the qualifications of the individual voter, then it seems
remarkable that democracies have survived through the centuries (Barleson, Lazarfeld, McPhee; p
209). Every voter may be qualified, but the voter can still lack information. Barleson, Lazerfeld, and
McPhee recognize that individuals do not meet the standards that Political politicians necessarily
agree with.
Evidence based Argument
Voters do not have enough information to make educated votes that are best for this country.
Americans will sit around and complain about the Democracy, but attempt to do nothing about it.
Numbers speak for themselves; if every citizen that complained about the Democracy voted, there
would be a change in the world. Every vote counts in America and everybody has a voice. One
cannot stress how important it is to gain information about current politics. Information is found
everywhere. Information can be found online, on television, in articles, and in books. Reading a
little bit can go a long way.
Americans need to take the time to find information and their rights would be safer. Americans are
entitled to rights and freedom, so they give up the responsibilities. Americans are dependent of
others; they want others to make the right decision. Every citizen is responsible for them and will
not always agree on the same decisions

Using Uniform Resource Locator ( Url )
Websites are made up of webpages each of which has its exclusive addresses called uniform
resource locator (URL). URLs direct users to get to a unique web page through web browsers.
URL naming and managing are considered two important issues as it is crucial for a webpage to
have an accurate address which appropriately represents content of the page and also generate
helpful application in web analytics. Protocol identifier, hostname, path or stem and parameters
are core components of URLs as they generate the frame of each URL. Hypertext transfer
protocol (HTTP) is one kind of protocols used to reach hypertext documents on the Net. Protocol
and resource name, which is the address of webpage are attached with a colon and two slashes. Host

Additional information is gathered as campaign medium is added to the parameters as it
provides extra data such as email or cost per click (CPC). Campaign name identify a specific
product, promotions and etc. Campaign term is applied for paid keyword search. Campaign
content is used to separate ad, content or link, which refer to the same URL. The fact that the
functionality of the page or its content is not affected when extra parameters are added to the
URL is crucial to know as parameters are applied in web analytics tools such as Google analytics
to get traffic source data. Web analytics tools such as Sitecatalyst, Webtrends and Google analytics
uses parameters differently. Sitecatalyst is highly depended on page names than additional parts of
URLs so parameters do not make further data. Webtrends mainly uses hostname and path to
identify pages, however, Webtrends is able to recollect disregarded parameters when they are
needed to separate unique pages. Google Analytics applies three main campaign parameters which
are campaign source, campaign medium and campaign name. In Google analytics there is an option
to have additional campaign such as campaign trend and campaign content. URLs in Web analytics
are of high importance as they define data strategy, cookies strategy, sessions and etc. The domain

Organ Donation
Get him into the O.R. stat! After applying yourself to be a recipient for a donation, you will be
added to the waiting list for that organ. This can take months, if not years. Receiving an organ can
be sudden whenever an organ match has been found for you. We should reevaluate organ donation
due to someone s personal religion, inability to benefit the poor, numerous hospital visits, and
potential endangerment to their own well being. Therefore, in 2009, organ transplants became a
demand everywhere so abruptly that countless nationalities began selling their organs in return for
money (HRSA 1). Eighty one percent of commercial living donors (CLDs) in Egypt spent their

Krasnolutska also states that the Israeli eastern European organ trafficking rings extended their
reach to the United States. In July 2009, the Justice Department charged Levy Rosenbaum, an
Israeli in New York, with conspiracy of human organ trafficking. A Federal Bureau of
Investigation agent caught Rosenbaum offering a kidney for $160,000 (Budiani Saberi 37).
Laws designed to prevent trafficking are currently unsuccessful. While prosecutors in places such
as Israel, Brazil, Kosovo and Ukraine have successfully eliminated some of the organ trading
gangs, they re still fighting powerful economic forces. As long as there s a worldwide shortage of
legal donors for life saving transplants, the exploitation of the poor will only grow. Unless
governments around the world enforce existing laws on prohibiting procedures, the traffickers will
continue to cultivate a growing legion of impoverished organ sellers who end up with an immense
wad of cash, says Glovin (Budiani Saberi 39 40). As a result, suspicions of organ trades between
Hong Kong and China in 1989 caused the Tiananmen Square massacre arose. The Amnesty
International noted an increase in China s submissions for the death penalty, and reported on the
use of executed prisoners organs without their consent. Dr. Ronald D. Guttman, a McGill
University professor, showed that after 1989, about ninety percent of China s transplants came from
executed prisoners. Along with Ronald Guttman was Forsythe stating that

On the performance and analysis of DNS security extensions...
On the performance and analysis of DNS security extensions The domain naming server plays a
vital role in the internet as it is needed and is involved in every internet application. DNS now
works well and it is also sometimes mentioned that any new changes added to the present DNS
may contribute to interruption to its functionality and can also contribute towards additional
complexity which is undesirable. Current networks and the future networks relay essentially on
DNS and it is important that the DNS should be a secured one. The DNS can be easily attacked
and such an attack can cause dire consequences so it specifies the importance to use a secured
version of DNS to avoid such consequences. To employ such a version involves more cost.... Show

Cost for increasing security to DNS varies depending on the kind of name server used. When the
data is static then PK DNSSEC is suitable and when the data is dynamic, better option would be
to consider SK DNSSEC. Caching resolvers computational cost is large in PK DNSSEC and non
recursive servers computational cost is high in SK DNSSEC [2]. Hybrid approach is used to
eliminate these computational costs. SK DNSEC cryptographic core contributes less to the total
cost in producing symmetric certificates and thus a better performing efficient and fast
cryptographic core can be used to improve the performance. If a new resolver is added or when
existing root certificate becomes invalid then public key cryptography is used by the SK DNS. In
these cases root server can take care of the load caused by valid requests whereas the root server
enabled with SK DNSSEC is sensitive to reject of service attack. Security and performance both
can be achieved by using hybrid approach. It can be used with PK DNSSEC for the top level
domain of DNS tree and for SK DNSSEC for lower level domain of DNS tree. Size of the response
packets of DNS are increased by producing higher network traffic and latency in PK DNSSEC. SK
DNSSEC is considered to be a possible alternative for PK DNSSEC for few of the important
reasons like key management is made easy with SK DNSSEC, smaller response packets which
require small memory for caching. [1]

Coles Human Resources Management Report Essay
Coles Human Resource Management Evaluation Report
Abstract
This report illustrates two key HRM strategies used by Coles Supermarkets Reward Management
and Performance Management. The core competence and business goal of Coles are elaborated and
the room for improvement have been identified, whereby Reward management and its
implementation have been critically analysed to bridge the gap between their operational loss
(weakness) and optimum performance (desired goal). Likewise, the method in which Performance
Management is used by Coles to lead their employees to work both efficiently and effectively has
been analysed. Performance Management is a useful tool to evaluate and ensure employee activities

For example, in either recruit policies or retain policies of Coles, the Fair Work Act must be
considered. The second factor is the condition of whole economy such as Inflation, change in
pay rates and salaries. During the inflation stage, the increasing living cost will cause higher
demand of income to satisfy the living standard. So, now it is the time to change reward system
to be more effective. Meanwhile, the change of pay rates and salaries can affect the HRM as
well. The third one is social factors such as different cultures of employees. For instance, when
an US company operates a division in India, the HRM should be different than America s to
ensure all employees with different cultures can work well together. The fourth factor that can
affect HRM is technological change. High quality employees must be skilled in the latest
technological devices because it can improve the efficiency of work and help the achievement of
the organization s goals. As a result, it will affect the organization s recruit policies. The fifth
factor is that can affect HRM is environmental factors such as harsh weather conditions or
greenfields. For Coles, if a supermarket operate in a greenfield area or in a harsh weather
conditions, the recruit and retain policies must be changed to attract more people to work there. The
last factor is legal which means any laws that can affect HRM. For example, the minimum wages set

The ERS predicts that between 2000 and 2020, per capita spending could rise by 18 percent at full
service restaurants, versus about 6 percent for fast food. The ERS suggests that, while consumers
value convenience, there is a trend toward meals with more variety and amenities traditionally
associated with full service restaurants.
In considering options for consumers to have full service restaurant comforts without having to
shop, cook, and then clean up after meal preparation, use of personal chef services stands out.
The trend toward spending on full service restaurants provides a growing opportunity for a full
service meal provided by a professional in the convenience of the home. According to an
Entrepreneur Magazine article, the personal chef business is among the fastest growing in the

Marriage Proposal In Pride And Prejudice By Jane Austen
In Austen s novels, the successful proposals indicate that the man asking a genuine question.
This is obvious in Darcy s second proposal to Elizabeth even though his speech does not contain
a question mark, but it implicates a question. Darcy says, You are too generous to trifle with me.
If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes
are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject for ever (458). His speech
indicates that he waits for Elizabeth s answer. Similarly, in Emma, Mr. Knightley, as Darcy, asks
Emma a genuine question if she accepts his offer or not by saying, Tell me, then, have I no chance
of ever succeeding?.... My dearest Emma,....tell me at once. Say No, if it is to be said (1034).

Women s secret engagements are another way that demonstrates why the male characters keep
their engagements secret from society. For example, Edward in Sense and Sensibility is a
wealthy man who keeps his engagement to Lucy Steele as a secret for four years because Lucy
does not have a fortune, and he is afraid from his mom, Mrs. Ferrars, would not approve their
marriage. As mentioned earlier, women with no fortune have no rights to get married to men
from the upper class. For the same reason, in Emma, Mr. Frank Churchill engages secretly to
Jane Fairfax because he depends on his aunt s money, Mrs. Churchill. His aunt may refuse to
approve his engagement to Jane because Jane is a governess and belongs to a low social class, so
it is difficult for Frank to reveal his engagement. He becomes able to disclose his engagement only
after the death of his aunt because he is liberated from his aunt s financial dependence. Frank
becomes financially independent and able to marry

wrong hands it may cause destruction. As machines cannot think, they can be usedto do the wrong
things or for mass destruction. The intuitive abilities that human possess, the way humans can
judge based on their previous knowledge, the inherent abilities that they have, cannot be replicated
by machines. Also, machines lack common sense. If robots begin to replace humans in every field,
it will eventually lead to unemployment. People will be left to do nothing. So much empty time
may result in destructive use. Machines may not be as efficient as humans in altering their
responses depending on the changing situations as they are programmed to function in a usual
manner. With the heavy application of AI, humans may become overly dependent on machines,

The Essential Compound of Water on Earth
Formed by two bonded hydrogens and an oxygen atom it is the second most essential compound
to life on Earth, water. However, less than four percent of it is available for human consumption; it
may be found in a liquid state or as water vapor within the atmosphere. As society progresses in
becoming more populous and industrialized so does the demand for fresh water, thus scientists
have and continue to experiment with adding particles to clouds in order to aid in creating
precipitation. In nature, water continuously moves between the Earth and atmosphere through a
process known as the hydrologic cycle. Evaporation and transportation cause water to rise, as
warm air rises it becomes cooler and causes condensation, the droplets increase in size until the
upward movement of air cannot support it (nucleation), and thus falls to the ground. It should be
noted that warm air has the ability to hold more vapor than cold air and cloud formation occurs
due to air becoming supersaturated. Conversely, nucleation does not always occur due to the cloud
not being cold enough, we are then introduced to the process of cloud seeding(Lenschow).
The inorganic compound silver iodide (AgI) is sprayed or launched into the atmosphere as tiny
particles that attract water molecules causing them to nucleate and fall to the ground as
precipitation. Cloud seeding started it s formation when Vincent Schaefer, a self taught chemist in
New York, attempted to get artificial clouds to produce

Social Image Of Marie Antoinette
One of the most famous queen of France, Marie Antoinette is the major historical figure
representing the dawn of the French revolution. Though she was seen as a symbol of the
conservative, extravagant royal class, recent studies disagree on this well known image. Historical
fact shows that Marie Antoinette was a virtuous queen and a thoughtful mother who was
courageous in the face of death. The current social image of Antoinette is a prejudiced one. Her
notoriety is wrongly accused. Antoinette was only a victim of family ambition and the general
situation in France.
Though she lacked actual political power, Antoinette lived an active, charitable and modest life. The
famous phrase, Let them eat cake is often attributed to Antoinette as a vivid example of her
ignorance. However, renowned biographer Antonia Fraser in Marie Antoinette: The Journey notes
that this phrase is misattributed. It is actually originated from Jean Jacques Rousseau s Confessions,
an autobiography published when Antoinette was only nine. It is more likely that some
discontented individual fabricated the scenario and put the words into the mouth of Marie
Antoinette (Fraser, 124). Moreover, Antoinette s actions show that she was far from ignorant. In

The Expositor s Bible Commentary
The Expositor s Bible Commentary is a multivolume work, broken up into thirteen volumes. Each
of the volumes cover a few books in the Bible, varying in exact amounts based on book sizes.
This commentary has two main editors, Tremper Longman III and David Garland. In Volume 9,
which consists of commentary on the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, three other people helped to
contribute. D.A. Carson helped with the Matthew section while Walter W. Wessel and Mark L.

s contributors, a preface, and abbreviations. The abbreviations consist of various Bible texts and
versions, books of the bible, Dead Sea Scrolls and other related texts, ancient texts, journals,
periodicals, reference works, and series. These abbreviates are necessary for the commentary as the
authors reference various works to get their points across. After the acknowledgements, discussion
about the books of the Bible begins. Each section starts off with an introduction, where the author
discusses various components, which can differ depending on the points the authors are trying to

Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight In Heaven Analysis
Lone Ranger and Tonto FistFight in Heaven On a sunny, warm spring day in May, how does a

Some answers can be discovered by examining literature through psychoanalysis. In fact, Freudian
psychoanalysis, especially of literature, reveals as much about characters as it does about real
people and society in general. When analyzing literature, Sherman Alexie, a critically acclaimed,

growing up on a Native American reservation. His adolescent protagonists, Junior and Victor, fight
through their disillusionment of Native American life in a humorous and relatable way. Combining

King Lear Masculinity Analysis
King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear
both illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought
to portray. While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings
use this power to express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two
different parts in each play, King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity
within their royal position through their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that
are expressed through moments of emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard)
and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack of masculinity in two different forms, one form of
hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during the realization of losing their crown. It is
often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under the same lens as they tend to
perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This character comparison
can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity, therefore lacking
masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be explored
within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1 in
Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of
his narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his
crown to Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until
he concludes expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation
is important to note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a
subset of Richard s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his
concerns with his royal position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after
shattering the mirror, stating, A brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath
destroyed my face (4.1.A133, 4.1.A137). The drama and emotional value that is enhanced in these
lines reveal Richard s vulnerability that

focuses more broadly on improving life and providing comfort to people of all ages with serious,
chronic, and life threatening illnesses (http://www.WebMD.com). The ultimate goal of comfort

Supporters of palliative care feel that it is against two of the main ethical principles of healthcare to
not recognize the suffering of the terminally ill (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16).
These principles are beneficence and non maleficence (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview,
16). Beneficence means that the healthcare provider is helping or attempting to help the patient
(End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Non maleficence means that the healthcare provider
is not harming the patient (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Palliative care includes an
around the clock pain management schedule. Those who received early palliative care actually had
lower rates of depression and better quality of life than patients who received standard treatment
only (http://www.WebMD.com). According to WebMD, a study was published August 2010 in the
New England Journal of Medicine by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital which
compared palliative care to standard care for lung cancer patients. The study found that those
patients who received palliative care lived 2.7 months longer than the patients who only received
standard care (www.http://www.WebMD.com). They stated that it could be due to more effective
treatment of depression, better management of symptoms, or less need for hospitalization (http:/

Comparison Of Doxorubicin And BV
There is no cure for HIV, but there are treatments to enable most people with the virus to live a long
and healthy life.
If anyone think he has been exposed to the virus within the last 72 hours (three days), anti HIV
medication post exposure prophylaxis may stop him becoming infected.
The quicker PEP is started the better The longer the wait, the less chance of it being effective. But
the description is not accurate. PEP is a month long treatment, which has serious side effects and is
not guaranteed to work. The treatment involves taking the same drugs prescribed to people who
have tested positive for HIV.
If you are diagnosed with HIV, you will have regular blood tests to monitor the progress of the virus

Iran Nuclear Deal Case Study
The Iran Nuclear Deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was
formally adopted on October 18th, 2015 by Iran, Germany, and the UN Security Council consisting
of Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States. It enabled Iran to peacefully pursue nuclear
program so long as it did not weaponize the program and it removed American sanctions and
European embargos. In recent weeks, President Donald Trump has made efforts to eliminate the
agreement or at least severely limit the program. To regulate the program, the international

Even without nuclear weapons, Iran represents a threat to Americans. With the introduction of the
Iran Nuclear Deal, Iran has been emboldened and arrested several Americans under false pretenses.
A total of four Americans have been detained by the Iranian government since the JCPOA was
implemented (CNN). Others have been detained for having American ties.
Moreover, the UN s International Atomic Energy Agencyrecently admitted that, though they
technically should be able to access all Iranian military sites, they can t actually search military
affiliated sites (Washington Post). Top adviser to Iran s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,
went so far as to call the US s call for further inspections as a dream that would never be possible.
Without access to the military sites, it is impossible to verify that Tehran is implementing the deal.
The United States has no true knowledge about whether Iran is working on the development of
nuclear weapons or not.
It is however known that Iran has aggressively been working towards its ballistic missile program
despite defiance of Security Council resolutions. With the demise of Iranian sanctions, Iran was
free to enter new market. They then invested their proceeds into their ballistic missile program.

SUTW 1: In order to find out a student progress, homework can help to figure it out. Parent need
homework, if not for homework, said David McLeod, he and his wife would not have known how
their son was doing at school (Schwartz 1). From a teacher s point of view through homework, they
could see what they were learning and what they were having trouble with (Schwartz 1). If your
child doesn t understand why he is doing something, it s sort of a futile exercise (Schwartz 2),
which means that the child isn t understanding the assignment.

various prices are given as follows:

6. In 1998, Americans smoked 470 billion cigarettes. The average retail price was $2 per pack.
Statistical studies have shown that the price elasticity of demand is 0.4, and the price elasticity of
supply is 0.5. Using this information, derive linear demand and supply curves for the cigarette
market.
7. In Example 2.7 we examined the effect of a 20 percent decline in copper demand on the price of
copper, using the linear supply and demand curves developed in Section 2.6.
Suppose the long run price elasticity of copper demand were 0.4 instead of 0.8.
a. Assuming, as before, that the equilibrium price and quantity are P* = 75 cents per pound and Q*
= 7.5 million metric tons per year, derive the linear demand curve consistent with the smaller
elasticity.
b. Using this demand curve, recalculate the effect of a 20 percent decline in copper demand on the
price of copper.
8. Example 2.8 analyzes the world oil market. Using the data given in that example,
a. Show that the short run demand and competitive supply curves are indeed given by
D = 24.08 0.06P
SC = 11.74 + 0.07P.
b. Show that the long run demand and competitive supply curves are indeed given by
D = 32.18 0.51P
SC = 7.78 + 0.29P.

We will not agree on every issue. But let us respect those differences and respect one another. Let
us recognize that we do not serve an ideology or a political party; we serve the people (Lynch).

different perspectives of Conservatives, Liberals, and Libertarians. While discussing the different
viewpoints, I will maintain objectivity, and fairly discuss all party s opinions. It is important to
remain unbiased in order to relay the most accurate information. The main goal of this information
is to enlighten the reader of these differences, in order to help them decide which ideological group

In this case, there are two categories of Conservatives who support the Pro Life movement. To

more lenient in saying that if a woman experiences incest, rape, etc. they should be allowed to

They do not believe that execution of the guilty party is considered to be, cruel and unusual , as

Short Story The Fly
In the short story The Fly, readers are introduced to the world of grief and coping through a
snapshot into the life of a grieving father. It raises the question as to whether it is better to forget
and let go or hold on to the precious memories we have with loved ones no matter the hurt.
Traditionally strong emotions and griefare associated with female characters. However the boss
gives readers an opportunity to delve into the masculine emotions that are often times hidden. This
journey through emotionand longing also demonstrates how as humans we sometimes find joy in
our pain. To let go of grief and pain means to let go of pieces of ourselves. The selfishness that
encompasses this realization is present throughout.
Several instances within the narration give way to the fact that the boss uses the loss of his son
to gratify his own masochistic tendencies. The first glimpse into this is given as a portrait of his
son is explained to the readers. Instead of utilizing a photograph or picture that represents a time
of joy or fond memories, the boss chose to hang a portrait he dislikes. Since his son died while
serving his country, the portrait of him in his uniform only incites further grief as it offers a
reminder of how his son passed. Most would choose to honor their loved one in happier times.
The second instance is the boss s reflection on times past where he was able to freely wallow in
his grief. Despite the time of six years between the present and the

Tee Bob kills himself with these repeated generational teachings haunting him. He starts to hear

Systems Thinking And The Health Care System
Systems thinking was developed during this SMAC by learning to identify the connections of
Information tecnology and the health care system. This SMAC involved the understand of the
health care system and the service they provide and how they operates. As a result, while systems
thinking allows new and useful methods to improve patient safety, it comes with it its own
intangible challenges that, if not documented and addressed, will both slow improvement and
present new harm. This SMAC allowed us to see the challenges that healthcare system faces and
how they analyzed and apply systems thinking in assessing them. Understanding the challenges by
completion of a SWOT analysis. Which required the development of an action plan of improvement
for patient safety by implementing and maintaining new processes and practices such has how can
the functions of each component be optimized so that the results of the system are maximized?
How can we identify and monitor for unintended consequences? How can we intervene to prevent
harm from unintended consequences. It required the development of an action plan of
improvement for the future. We have improved our ability to understand how health care system
achieve the organizational goal of safe and excellent patient care by developing my ability at
systems thinking. The contributions to this SMAC display both the complexity of a systems
method to patient safety, and the promise of new ways in thinking about the systems within

Rocks in this region are from the Mesozoic and recent times and therefore are considered

Upland region in East Central Alabama is composed of the oldest rocks in Alabama. In this
region you will find granitic gneiss (a gneissic rock with a general granitoid composition),
amphibolite (a crystalloblastic rock consisting mainly of amphibole and plagioclase with little or
no quartz), and migmatite (a composite of mixed rock) dating back to the Precambrian and
Paleozoic ages (Schweitzer, 2013). This is the only part of Alabama with this type of rock
composition, but it is also where the southernmost part of the Appalachian Mountains dips into
Alabama. This part of the Appalachian Mountains are characterized by low rolling hills and the
reason there is a special combination of rocks in this area is because piedmonts usually consist of
the remnant of a mountain (Schweitzer, 2013). The Piedmont Upland only consumes about nine
percent of all of Alabama (Tew. Ebersole, 2013). The North and Northeastern parts of Alabama are

Allegories And Symbols Of Death In The Seventh Seal
In the movie The Seventh Seal a knight and his squire are returning home from the crusades when
Death appears to the knight and tells him that his time is up. After the knight realizes that he
doesn t want to go, he then challenges Death to a classic game of chess for his life. The rules of
the chess math were simple. The knight gets to keep on living so as long as the chessmatch is going
on and if the knight wins then he is free to go but if he loses he will then have to go with death.
While Death and the knight play a cultural turmoil envelopes with the people around the knight
and squire as they all try to deal with the upheaval the plague has caused. In the movie it was not
as historically accurate. However there were many symbols in the movie that were very helpful.
This film is set in Sweden during the time of the plague. What is called allegories and symbols
of death or is also referred to in art as memento mori, which is another way of reminders of death,
those grew more popular during the time when all members of the Medieval society who were
aware of mortality and felt powerless over their lives and what they have done in their life much
like the knight portrayed in the movie.
Skulls are one of the most popular death symbols employed in art and are often showing up in
painting by Rembrandt and other classic artists. Ingmar Bergman s references to the symbols are
most clearly seen through the church painter who seemed to be preoccupied because he could
stop painting reminders of death . When he was asked about his painting or in that subject matter
he then explained that he makes art about death to make people think . He then later states in the
movie A skull is more interesting than a naked woman . In the movie when the knight was
playing chess with Death that confused me at first before I did a little research on the subject
matter. The game chess which is all about being smarter and outwitting your opponent, so by the
knight playing chess with Death speaks to a society s desperate and futile attempts to try and stay
alive as much as possible and try to avoid Death at any means necessary. Whether is came down to
having to wear a plague doctor mask trying to protect yourself or turning your

Analysis of Northrop Grumman and Raytheon Essay

While these two companies compare in products and services, they do not relate in overall size. To

comprehensive financial ratio analysis was completed for each company, as well as an evaluation
of their strengths, weaknesses and future opportunities. While it is important to consider how a

This was mostly accomplished through operational improvements and capital deployment actions.
Also, for 2010, they were able to generate $1.9 billion in operating cash flow, have a 14.6% return

further look at Raytheon s financial position, the data from a financial ratio analysis can be viewed.
To compare both Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, a financial ratio analysis was constructed for
the two companies. There were 19 total ratios and other financial factor utilized to compare both
companies. Out of all 19, Raytheon was able to best Northrop Grumman in 11. Some of the bigger
areas that are of concern are: current ratio, debt to asset ratio, times interest earned ratio, gross
profit rate, and asset turnover ratio. This is a good accomplishment for a company that sees s much
smaller revenues than many of its competitors. Although the company has much going for it, there
are still some concerns that should be taken into consideration. As mentioned above, the company
does see smaller revenues than many of its competitors. This lower generation of revenues could
end up putting the company at a disadvantage in such a competitive market. Raytheon s size could
also lead to a reduction in bargaining power against its competition (DATAMONITOR). Another
weakness is the company s dependence on government contracts. Since these contracts are

Cooney gives an account of fictional characters that could have existed in the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The bookfollows the lives of Lady Mary, Ildred, Swin, Seyton, and Fleance. The idea behind the book was ingenious and had many good qualities, but there were also some cons. Frist to address the pros. Caroline Cooney did an excellent job on staying true to the story of Macbeth, while showing it in the eyes of different characters. The characters also in her book were very well rounded and the connection between a character and a reader is certainly there. With each year that passes pornography has been more and more accepted, it can be seen in books, magazines, cable television and most of all through the internet. Many religions go against it, but at the same time people know that there is a reason why people go into the business and accepted it an other people just like it. K 1 applies the Universality principle, which asks the question Would a person in a similar circumstance do the same thing? Most of the people who are in the pornography business know that they could be making money in another way. And if asked, they would not like their son or daughter to follow their steps. By this it would flunk the K 1 standard. K 3 applies the publicity test, which asks Would I be willing to tell my grandmother? By majority nobody would tell their grandmother about it, if he or she is working in pornography. It would flunk the publicity test. Human Rights are what more people are concerned with. Pornography fits in where people have the freedom of speech, life and the right to pursue happiness. While people are doing it by their own means and have the adequate age then pornography is all right. In my opinion pornography does violate welfare rights, since pornography is not considered a moral and ethical way of living because it is not a descent environment. Pornography under the principle of equal liberty it is accepted since it gives liberty to choose. But the only thing is that not everyone respects the people who work in pornography, because they don t think it is right to make their living in that way. Under the ... • 9. History And Development Of Modern Operative Obstetrics Essay Chapter 2 2.1 History of caesarean section and development of modern operative obstetrics The first modern caesarean section was performed by German gynaecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer in 1881.(1) Probably the very first documented evidence of caesarean birth is a legal text dating to theera of Hammurabi (1795 1750 BC), describing the birth of a male child pulled out of the womb of a deceased woman (7). The name sectio caesarea was first used by the French obstetrician Guillimeau in 1598. At that time, the operation was used to deliver live babies from dead mothers (4). There are three different explanations about the origin of the name of the operation. 1)In 715 BC, the King of Rome, Numa Pompilius, codified the Roman laws. According to the law, it was forbidden to bury a dead pregnant woman before the fetus was excised. If the child was alive, it was called a caeson . This law, Lex Caesaris or Lex Caesarea, is assumed to be the origin for the name of the procedure cesarean section (4, 7, 9). 2)It has also been stated, that Julius Caesar has been delivered by this method, and gave the name for the operation. This is considered unlikely, because his mother is known to have been alive during Julius Caesars adulthood. During his reign about 100 BC no woman is known to have survived the operation. 3)A third explanation is that the name is simply derived from the Latin verb caedare, to cut. The word section is also derived from the latin verb secare, to cut (4). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Thyroid Gland ( Tg ) Introduction Thyroid gland (TG) secretes thyroxin and triiodothyronine (Garber et al., 2012). Its main function is to make hormones and main job is to produce hormones T4 and T3 (Mortimer, 2011). To do this the human TG has to take a form of iodine from the bloodstream into the human TG (Garber et al., 2012). This substance then undergoes a numerous of different chemical reactions which resulted in the production of T3 and T4 (Mortimer, 2011). In order to make T4 and T3, TG needs iodine, a substance found in the food, both T4 and T3 contains four atoms of iodine. T4 is then converted to T3 through the cells and tissues of the human body. More active hormone is T3, because it influences the activity of all the cells and tissues of the human body. Thyroid is controlled by hormones produced by hypothalamus and pituitary. Besides, these secreted hormones in the TG are essential for normal growth, better development and metabolic function. Thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) stimulates the pituitary to secrete TSH which in turn acts on the TG to cause synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones. Altered thyroid function is common and respectively the release of TRH and TSH enable feedback of the hormones on the pituitary and hypothalamus to inhibit synthesis. For example, a prevalence of hypothyroidism has been reported in the literature that up to ten percentage in the general population is possible expected to occur. It is an essential to have accurate assays of thyroid ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Apart from these classic hallmarks, increasing evidence has demonstrated uncontrolled glial activation and neuroinflammation in AD brain may contribute independently to neural dysfunction and cell death (Akiyama et al., 2000; Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002). Robust activation of microglia has been found in and around the area of amyloid plaques in the AD brain, and reactive astrocytes have been shown to form a halo surrounding the amyloid plaques (Itagaki et al., 1989; Ho et al., 2005). Additionally, numerous proinflammatory factors have been reported to be elevated in both patients with AD and transgenic animal models of AD (Griffin et al., 1989; Akiyama et al., 2000; Ruan et al., 2009). Whether alleviation of neuroinflammation will offer therapeutic benefit for AD remains unclear. Epidemiological studies show a possible association between suppression of inflammation and reduced risk for AD (in t Veld et al., 2001; Vlad et al., 2008). Therefore, drugs targeting neuroinflammation might provide benefits for the prevention and treatment of this devastating disease. In the central nervous system, microglia and astrocytes are the major type of glial cells, and activation of these cells has been involved in all neurodegenerative diseases (Wyss Coray and Mucke, 2002). Current networks and the future networks relay essentially on DNS and it is important that the DNS should be a secured one. To employ such a version involves more cost.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cost for increasing security to DNS varies depending on the kind of name server used. When the data is static then PK DNSSEC is suitable and when the data is dynamic, better option would be to consider SK DNSSEC. Caching resolvers computational cost is large in PK DNSSEC and non recursive servers computational cost is high in SK DNSSEC [2]. Hybrid approach is used to eliminate these computational costs. SK DNSEC cryptographic core contributes less to the total cost in producing symmetric certificates and thus a better performing efficient and fast cryptographic core can be used to improve the performance. If a new resolver is added or when existing root certificate becomes invalid then public key cryptography is used by the SK DNS. In these cases root server can take care of the load caused by valid requests whereas the root server enabled with SK DNSSEC is sensitive to reject of service attack. Security and performance both can be achieved by using hybrid approach. It can be used with PK DNSSEC for the top level domain of DNS tree and for SK DNSSEC for lower level domain of DNS tree. Size of the response packets of DNS are increased by producing higher network traffic and latency in PK DNSSEC. • 31. The Essential Compound of Water on Earth Formed by two bonded hydrogens and an oxygen atom it is the second most essential compound to life on Earth, water. However, less than four percent of it is available for human consumption; it may be found in a liquid state or as water vapor within the atmosphere. As society progresses in becoming more populous and industrialized so does the demand for fresh water, thus scientists have and continue to experiment with adding particles to clouds in order to aid in creating precipitation. In nature, water continuously moves between the Earth and atmosphere through a process known as the hydrologic cycle. Evaporation and transportation cause water to rise, as warm air rises it becomes cooler and causes condensation, the droplets increase in size until the upward movement of air cannot support it (nucleation), and thus falls to the ground. It should be noted that warm air has the ability to hold more vapor than cold air and cloud formation occurs due to air becoming supersaturated. Conversely, nucleation does not always occur due to the cloud not being cold enough, we are then introduced to the process of cloud seeding(Lenschow). The inorganic compound silver iodide (AgI) is sprayed or launched into the atmosphere as tiny particles that attract water molecules causing them to nucleate and fall to the ground as precipitation. Cloud seeding started it s formation when Vincent Schaefer, a self taught chemist in New York, attempted to get artificial clouds to produce ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Though she was seen as a symbol of the conservative, extravagant royal class, recent studies disagree on this well known image. Historical fact shows that Marie Antoinette was a virtuous queen and a thoughtful mother who was courageous in the face of death. The current social image of Antoinette is a prejudiced one. Her notoriety is wrongly accused. Antoinette was only a victim of family ambition and the general situation in France. Though she lacked actual political power, Antoinette lived an active, charitable and modest life. The famous phrase, Let them eat cake is often attributed to Antoinette as a vivid example of her ignorance. However, renowned biographer Antonia Fraser in Marie Antoinette: The Journey notes that this phrase is misattributed. It is actually originated from Jean Jacques Rousseau s Confessions, an autobiography published when Antoinette was only nine. It is more likely that some discontented individual fabricated the scenario and put the words into the mouth of Marie Antoinette (Fraser, 124). • 39. King Lear Masculinity Analysis King Richard II and King Lear: Lacking the Title of Masculinity King Richard II and King Lear both illustrate the various forms of how royalty can stray away from the order they are thought to portray. While both kings do hold the vast title that grants them ultimate power, both kings use this power to express a lack of masculinity. Although the loss of title is performed at two different parts in each play, King Richard II and King Lear represent the lack of masculinity within their royal position through their strong emotional drive and narcissistic tendencies that are expressed through moments of emotional polarization. Likewise, King Richard II (Richard) and King Lear (Lear) represent their lack of masculinity in two different forms, one form of hyper masculinity and one of vulnerability, during the realization of losing their crown. It is often discussed that Richard and Lear can be viewed under the same lens as they tend to perform with narcissism and emotional drive while under pressure. This character comparison can be examined while they are unable to portray correct forms of masculinity, therefore lacking masculinity, in one of the most masculine positions in the world. This theme can be explored within Richard and Lear while they confess to losing their power. For example, Act 4 scene 1 in Richard II is an accurate demonstration of Richard s lack of masculinity due to the illustration of his narcissism, emotional drive, and his vulnerability. In 4.1, Richard addresses the loss of his crown to Bolingbroke for numerous lines. He does not fully surrender the title of the crown until he concludes expressing his emotional baggage of despair and grievance. This long continuation is important to note as it can be argued as an example of Richard s narcissism. This narcissism is a subset of Richard s lack of masculinity, since narcissism entails his self concerns rather than his concerns with his royal position. Furthermore, Richard s lack of masculinity is expressed after shattering the mirror, stating, A brittle glory shineth in this face... / ...How soon my sorrow hath destroyed my face (4.1.A133, 4.1.A137).
