The Eu Reputation Of Being A Formidable Economic Block
financial crisis that is still affecting the European continues have destroyed the EU reputation of being
a formidable economic block. Over the past seven years, Greek, Portugal, Spain and Ireland have all
been on the edge of finical collapse threatening to bring down the economies of Europe. Before the
creation of the European currency countries like Greek, Spain and Portugal had to pay high interests
on the amount of money they borrowed form banks. At the same time, international Banks were not
comfortable enough to lend them too much money. For this reason, economically weak countries like
Greek, Spain and Portugal had to balance their budget and spending. After Greek and other European
counters joined the EU, they were given vast access to capital in a form of loans, and the amount of
money they borrowed increased rapidly. Smaller counters suddenly had lager access for credit like
never before so they borrowed money and built houses, roads, and health sectors. Even If the EU
member states were unable to repay their loans economically strong countries like Briton, and germen
would stepped in and cover some of the loses because they were now bound by a common currency.
With a few years, the governments of Greek, Portugal, and Spain accumulated huger debt. However,
they were able to repay this debt with more borrowed money. Credit flowed debt accumulated and the
economies of Europe became tightly intertwined. Finally, the 2008 financial crisis brought borrowing

Two Cities Reading Journal
Sarah Levi Dr. Brewer English 3 Fall 2017 A Tale of Two Cities Reading Journal Journal Entry 1
Date: 11/8/17 Chapters: Book 1, Chapters 1 3 Annotations: Considering the book is set during the
French Revolution, similes are used in order to portray the zeitgeist of this time period to modern
readers. This also is used to set a specific tone and atmosphere in the novel: There was a steaming mist
in all the hollows, and it had roamed in its forlornness up the hill, like an evil spirit, seeking rest and
finding none. (page 16) Imagery is also used in order to set the scene and further explain the time
period: ...lands adjacent to Paris, there were sheltered from the weather that very day, rude carts,
bespattered with rustic mire, snuffled about by pigs... (page 14) In England, there was scarcely an
amount of order and protection to justify much national boasting. Daring burglaries by armed men,
and highway robberies, took place in the capital itself every night... (page 14) Dickens also effectively
shows a distinction between the social classes through the dialogue and dialect of characters: ... Show

At the end of the paragraph, a rhetorical question is posed presenting the idea of the loneliness. With

offering this question, the reader is able to interpret the possibility that the narrator feels that the he is
surrounded by and trapped in cities filled with stranger, but also shows that even the people that he

Pre Incident Planning:
Good Business Continuity Planning starts with being proactive. That means taking concrete steps to

Ethical Issues Involving The Media
There is an ongoing debate over how important and necessary ethical behavior is in the business
domain. It is arguable due to the advantages and disadvantages that come into to play with every
decision. Some stand on the side of the dispute that ethical behavior may slow down one s rate of
success, but it ensures that success is accomplished morally and justly. On the other hand, some
blatantly argue that ethical behavior is not necessary when one is on the thin line between success and
failure. In other words, this side believes unethical behavior is not a problem when one is in desperate
need of higher achievement. Businesses often display unethical behavior towards their customers
through their advertising in the media, towards their employees through mistreatment, and towards
their investors through bribery. In each topic, the importance of ethical behavior is evident. Ethical
Issues Involving the Media Media advertisements can contain untrue and misleading information
regarding a product. An advertisement for the popular drink known as Vitamin Water has proved to be
unethical and deceptive towards customers. Attempts are being made by the National Consumers
League (NCL) to put an end to the advertisement s claim that Vitamin Water, manufactured by
Glaceau, a small unit of the Coca Cola Company, can replace flu shots. The NCL have requested the
investigation of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over untrue assertions. The healthy appearance

The Man Who Saved Me
Out of all of the days I have been alive there is one I will never forget. I woke up knowing that I was
going to be going on my first airplane ride to Iowa to visit family, but other than a little fear
everything seemed normal. As I boarded the plane and said goodbye to my family I found my seat and
waited for take off. As everyone boarded the plane, I wondered who would be sitting in the open seat
next to me. The seat remained empty for quite a while. We were just about getting ready to take off
before I heard a man with a deep voice yelling, wait wait, im here. It was then that I knew he would be
taking the empty seat next to me. We all buckled our seatbelts and prepared for the the pressure of
taking off. We were all asked to turn our phones off, which forced us to start a conversation with the
person sitting next to us. I looked over and the man sitting next to me was a tall man who was thin in
stature. He had brown hair, green eyes, and a black hat on. I began to try and start a conversation with
him but he said very little. He seemed to be very quiet and kept to himself. I asked him where he was
headed and he replied with a mumble, and said my friends. I didn t really try to talk to him any more, I
let him be. As the plane ride continued I suddenly felt a big jerk. Since I had never been on a plane I
was worried, I then asked the man sitting next to me if that was normal? He replied with a shakiness to
his voice, and said I don t think so! From there I began

Online BSN to DNP Programs: A Solution for the High Level Talent Shortage
In the United States, more than 58 million citizens live in areas that are classified as primary care
shortage areas. These regions, official labeled Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs), fail to
maintain a sufficient talent pool of primary care providers as outlined by federal guidelines. According

Camp Glen Arden Ethnography Analysis
Summer camp is a tradition that the women in my family have participated in since my mom was a

sister. This place is called Camp Glen Arden and it is my home away from home. There are many
special traditions within Camp Glen Arden, so that is why I chose it to be the topic of my ethnography.
To start, for the nine years I ve attended camp there hasn t been any change, maybe the food but that s
it. Since I m on the topic of food, every camper and staff member wears navy collared shirts and navy
shorts to dinner. The collared shirts are worn so that we can wear our ties that represent what clan

you make them a very special and personal gift to give to them Christmas morning . The type of
reciprocity demonstrated is generalized because once the gift is given, the giver doesn t expect

cinematography elements such color and lighting can help do this. A color filter can be used to alter
the way we see the different characters and scenes. I think the product placement of many popular,
well known brands would also help add to the themes of the novel. The outfits that the characters wear
are also important and described in detail in the novel. The setting in which the fights take place at
should be dark, damp, and cold as depicted in the novel. The use of saturated color from light off
screen and low key lighting may help achieve this. The fights usually take place in a basement so it is
appropriate that the lighting be dim. The filmmakers may also want to incorporate point of view shots
to give the audience a better understanding of what the narrator is going through. In the novel, the
chapters jump around from different settings and almost never continue from where they left off. The
editing must find a way to move quickly from scene to scene without confusing the audience. The use
of jump cuts may help the audience become accustom to the transitions that occur throughout the
story. The filmmakers may want to superimpose or distort some of the scenes with Tyler so that the
audience can see that he is not a real person and that he is in fact imaginary. The use of fast and slow

Summary of Theodore Roethke s Poem My Papa s Waltz
Affection in My Papa s Waltz
Theodore Roethke s My Papa s Waltz is a gentle poem, made so by its affectionate and simple tone, its
innocence, its light heartedness, and its humor. While other readers, like John Ciardi, have found it to
be a poem of terror (Fong 80), when one considers the original drafts, as John J. McKenna does, one
sees a much less forbidding melodrama and a much more down to earth representation of home life.
This paper will show how Roethke s Waltz uses language, tone, and rhyme to convey, with childlike
sensibility, a happy image of an energetic dance with one s father.
Roethke s corrections in the original draft seem to be geared towards removing any type of suggestive
language or imagery that might rob the poem of its lightheartedness. In the original draft, the boy is a
girl and the mother s countenance / Could not unscrew itself (McKenna 35). Apparently the sexual
connotations of the latter term were to be avoided and the closeness of a small, dizzy girl to whiskey
on your breath was likely an unwanted image as well. By replacing the girl with a boy, and changing
unscrew to unfrown, Roethke removed from the poem the two main potential obstacles: abusive,
neglectful tone and sexual imagery. Carefully observing the suggestions associated to terms in the
English language, Roethke sets the reader in front of a scene of rough housing between father and son,
with mother looking on disapprovingly (but comically) because their

My Faith In My Life
My mom once told me when I was young and ignorant, Faith is the foundation of a beautiful
friendship with the one person who will always remain by your side . These words were expressed
even more profoundly every Sunday in the echoing corridors of a small church by a priest I had yet to
know or even care about. Preaching with his perplexing words in which I could only muster barely a
fourth of my full attention span listening to. Thus, the term faith did not exactly resonate with me until
many years later. My early years were filled with the teachings of the bible in Sunday school and later
on as well in middle school during Friday night sessions. Unfortunately, my mom was an extremely
strong enforcer of our faith for she was also raised Catholic from birth, but my dad on the other hand
has a more scientific approach to how the world came to be. The years I spent in Sunday school
blurred into an everlasting line of bleak nothingness just a ticking clock waiting till an end. Even
today I do not remember anything that occurred within those taxing sixty minuets of constant bible
studies it s as though I lost the key to the inner workings of my childhood. Nonetheless, there have
always been unbelievably great role models in my faith such as my mom, youth ministers, and friends
who encourage me to be open to my faith. However, it s always been my own restrictions that prevent
me from furthering my relationship with God. So when my sister suffered her first severe

Fashion In The Workplace Essay
The workplace can consist of a diversity of people, and a diversity of workplace fashion. Let me tell
you about the diverse workplace fashion I observe at my place of employment, South Padre Island
City Hall. Being the front desk receptionist, I see most of my coworkers throughout the day and have
categorized the fashion at my workplace as follows: The Business Professional, HR Inappropriate,
Casual Islander, The Flamboyant Fashionistas, and Office Uniform. In an organization that consists of
at least 10 different departments and one hundred and fifty plus employees, personality is displayed
through a variety of workplace fashion. The Business Professional. Slacks, suits, and formal dresses or
skirts should be worn when there are important meetings being held at City Hall. While City Council
meeting days are designated days that business professional attire must be worn by all, there are
employees who wear business professional attire throughout the entire week. Our City Manager is
fairly new and came from the City of Tyler. Her preferred workplace fashion is business professional
with black being the color she wears the most. Within the first few months for working for the city, the
City Council advised her that she should try incorporating more color into her wardrobe since the city
is an Island as well. She has taken the councils advise and has incorporated a little more color into her
wardrobe, but still, black is her go to color. The City Manager s office and much of

Participants
Participants of this study were 445 third year Psychology students; 354 females and 91 males, from
Monash University Campuses in Australia, Malaysia, South Africa and the Singaporean off campus,
involving participants with a wide variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Participants were
aged 19 to 62 (M = 23.53, SD = 7.08), in which two participants failed to provide their age
information. They were categorized as either from an English speaking background (ESB) or a non
English speaking background (NESB) based on the first language information they provided at the
end of each tests (Queendom Verbal IQ and Cultural Fair IQ Test, and PSYGAT). 319 participants
were categorized to the ESB group and 126 participants to the NESB group.
Materials
Participants had to complete the Queendom Verbal IQ and Cultural Fair IQ Tests, and the PSYGAT.
All these three tests can be accessed through their Monash Blackboard site. The Queendom Verbal IQ
Test comprised of 70 items which includes items on analogies, idioms and expressions, vocabulary

Gram Positive Bacteria And Gram Negative Bacteria
Bacteria can be divided into two types of species, gram positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria.
To determine whether a certain type of bacteria was classified tests were conducted by Hans Christian
Gram; who discovered the differences within the cell walls of the bacteria. Gram positive bacteria
have a thick wall which consists of the protein peptidoglycan. This is opposite to gram negative
bacteria which has a thin cell wall, which fold over each other (Wells, 2017). They retain a much
thinner peptidoglycan wall between two membranes. The membrane surrounding the cytoplasm and
the outer membrane. (Wikipedia, 2017). Both gram positive and gram negative bacteria both stain,
gram positive retains violet dye. Gram positive bacteria don t retain the dye and turn red or pink
(Diffen, 2017). Due the difference in cell wall thickness gram negative bacteria is harder to inhibit,
compared to gram positive bacteria.
Two types of bacteria will be tested throughout this investigation, Serratia Marcescens and
Staphylococcus Epidermidis. Serratia Marcescens are gram negative bacteria, which can be found on
any surface. They mainly occur in water, soil, or and within animals located in their digestive tract
(Antonette B Climaco, 2017 ). They are stained red which can often be mistaken with blood drops.
This bacteria can affect the macrophages within the human body, this affects the immune system and
the destruction of foreign pathogenic cells within the body. Staphylococcus

Medical Terminology Is Crucial In The Healthcare Profession
Having some background knowledge on medical terminology is crucial in the healthcare profession.
Why you may ask? Well because it is a whole new separate language for the medical field. Healthcare
professions need to learn this language to do their jobs correctly and professionally. In addition,
medical terminology is key to be able to communicate with colleagues, bosses, and other health care
staff in the facility. Therefore, proper pronunciation and spelling is important to treat and diagnose a

Little Red Riding Hood is one of the most well known fairy tales. It has been retold many times by
many different people. I will be comparing two versions of this story. One is by the famous Brothers
Grimm and the other is a TV show called Once Upon a Time. In the Brothers Grimm version of Little
Red Riding Hood, she is walking to her grandmothers house through the woods when she encounters
the wolf. Also, the wolf is sneaky and cunning. He talks to Red to learn where her grandmother lives
so he can follow and eat them both. However, in Once Upon a Time, the people are already aware of
the wolf. They are terrified because he has killed many people. This wolf is not sneaky and cunning.

The Dome Of The Rock In Ravenna, Italy
Great pieces of architecture like The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the Church of San Vitale in
Ravenna, Italy are important to Byzantine and Islamic Art. Both structures were not just places of
worship, but showed the power of the men behind them and the growth of the culture at this time. San
Vitale which was constructed under the Bishop Ecclesius around 540 to 548 A.D. and was erected to
show the power and achievements of Emperor Justinian. The banker Julius Argenteus provided the
funds for San Vitale, and it was dedicated to Bishop Maximian. The Dome of the Rock was built in
Jerusalem by Caliph Abd al Malik to mark the triumph of Islam in Jerusalem on a site sacred to
Muslims, Christians, and Jews (Gardner and Kleiner B: 285). It is ... Show more content on

The bishop was also in charge of building two other churches, San Michele and Santa Maria, but San
Vitale is larger in scale than these two churches, designed as a centrally planned octagonal two story
congressional church (Tronchin and Knight 130).The church features two centric octagons. The dome
covered inner octagon rises above the surrounding octagon to provide the interior with clerestory
lighting (Gardner and Kleiner B: 255). This octagon shape brings the parishioners to the center of the
church, allowing them to become part of the service, which is not found in a traditional church. The
dome is constructed on eight piers and arches which are surrounded by an ambulatory and a gallery.
Much of the inside is marble and gold and the church walls have many windows to let the sun in to
shine on this gold. Light filtered through the alabaster paned windows and plays over glittering
mosaics and flowing marble (Gardner 255) which shows the beauty and lavish pieces Justinian put
into this construction, even though the outside is dull and made mostly of bricks. However, this
becomes another difference concerning these two monuments. The dome of San Vitale shows the
Roman influence, with a figure of Christ, marbles and glittering galleries and the Dome of the Rock
features a more ordinary approach with geometric shapes and calligraphy as well as extraordinary
colors used in Islamic

Educational Funding Levels For Public Schools Essay
The formula budgeting approach is the method most commonly used by states, including Georgia, to
determine K 12 educational funding levels for public schools (Green, 2014). This approach utilizes a
fixed method to allocate funds and, as maintained by Green (2014), is intended to provide an
objective, efficient, and equitable manner to distribute state education funds to local schools districts.
However, as observed with Georgia s own funding formula, this budgeting approach falls short when
full funding is not provided. As a result, funding inequities do occur as local sources of revenue vary
across the state.
Established by the Georgia legislature in 1985, the Quality Basic Education (QBE) funding formula
was designed to equitably provide K 12 educational services for Georgia students (Suggs, 2015). The
appropriation of QBE is to provide formula funds to school systems based on full time equivalent
(FTE) students in grades K 12 as outlined in O.C.G.A. 20 2 161 (Governor s Budget Report, 2015).
The funding formula is comprised of three broad areas that are combined to fund and equalize funding
from state and local revenue sources; the formula is QBE earnings plus any categorical grants plus the
equalization. (The Basics of Quality Basic Education (QBE) Funding, n.d). Furthermore, the formula
is calculated based on two components: total enrollment and student characteristics. It is based upon
FTE student counts across nineteen instructional programs (FY 16 GA QBE

Impressionism And Its Impression On Modern Art
Impressionism And its Impression on Modern Art
One of the earliest forms of communication and documentation was art, from cave paintings, to
Egyptian Hieroglyphs, to Renaissance portraits. Throughout the beginning of time, artistic style has
evolved, and is still continuing to evolve. One early impact on Modern Art was Impressionism.
Impressionism was defined as French nineteenth century art movement between 1867 and 1886 that
marks the momentary break from tradition in European painting. In the middle of the nineteenth
century the Academie des Beaux Arts dominated French arts. The Academie was the preserver of
traditional French painting standards of content and style. Historical subjects, religious themes, and
portraits were valued; Landscapes and still lifes were not. The Academie preferred carefully finished
images that look realistic when examined closely. Paintings in the style were made up with precise
brush strokes carefully blended to hide the artist hands in their work. Color was restrained and were
often toned down farther by using a gold varnish. The Academie held an annual art show called the
Salon de Paris. In the early 1860 s four young painters Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred
Sisley, and Frederic Bazille met while studying under the academic artist, Charles Gleyre. They
discovered that they shared an interest in painting landscapes and contemporary life rather than
historical or mythological scenes. During the 1860 s the Salon rejected many

Advantages Of Discount Brokers
The advent of discount brokers in the Indian market have revolutionized the way trading is done in
India.
Discount brokerages have heavily brought down the cost of trading. This has proven to be a boon to
the traders especially the intraday and the derivatives trades.
Discount brokerages like RKSV and Zerodha have already started hurting the broking industry. Full
service brokers had made a request to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India
(SEBI) to impose a minimum slab on the brokerage being charged by discount brokers. This request
was declined, clearing the way for more aggressive competition.

Getting more profits
Put simply, we are out there to make money in the stock markets. When one goes through the contract
note of the regular brokers, there are huge costs spent on brokerages, taxes and duties. At a brokerage
of Rs.30 on per lot of Option one has to pay a brokerage of around Rs.150 for 5 lots. There are also
duties and taxes which increase it to Rs.200.When the same thing is done through a discount
brokerage the brokerage cost is Rs.20 and adding the taxes and duties it come to Rs.40. There is
saving of Rs.150. It directly adds more money to the profits.
2. No need to sacrifice the quality of the execution.
There is no difference between trading through a regular broker and a discount broker. There is still
the old facility of call and trade. There is the new facility of mobile trading and online trading.
3. More high frequency trades
The reduction of brokerage brings down the breakdown even. The intraday brokerage for discount
brokerage is 0.01% or Rs.20, whichever is lower. So, in small trades, when a trader buys at 100.01 and
sells at 100.05, he still makes profit. In large trades, the advantage is even more as the brokerage is
even less due to the Rs.20 cap. This reduction of breakeven point enables a trader to do more

The Eu ReputationOf Being A Formidable Economic Block financial crisis that is still affecting the European continues have destroyed the EU reputation of being a formidable economic block. Over the past seven years, Greek, Portugal, Spain and Ireland have all been on the edge of finical collapse threatening to bring down the economies of Europe. Before the creation of the European currency countries like Greek, Spain and Portugal had to pay high interests on the amount of money they borrowed form banks. At the same time, international Banks were not comfortable enough to lend them too much money. For this reason, economically weak countries like Greek, Spain and Portugal had to balance their budget and spending. After Greek and other European counters joined the EU, they were given vast access to capital in a form of loans, and the amount of money they borrowed increased rapidly. Smaller counters suddenly had lager access for credit like never before so they borrowed money and built houses, roads, and health sectors. Even If the EU member states were unable to repay their loans economically strong countries like Briton, and germen would stepped in and cover some of the loses because they were now bound by a common currency. With a few years, the governments of Greek, Portugal, and Spain accumulated huger debt. However, they were able to repay this debt with more borrowed money. Two Cities ReadingJournal Sarah Levi Dr. Brewer English 3 Fall 2017 A Tale of Two Cities Reading Journal Journal Entry 1 Date: 11/8/17 Chapters: Book 1, Chapters 1 3 Annotations: Considering the book is set during the French Revolution, similes are used in order to portray the zeitgeist of this time period to modern readers. This also is used to set a specific tone and atmosphere in the novel: There was a steaming mist in all the hollows, and it had roamed in its forlornness up the hill, like an evil spirit, seeking rest and finding none. (page 16) Imagery is also used in order to set the scene and further explain the time period: ...lands adjacent to Paris, there were sheltered from the weather that very day, rude carts, bespattered with rustic mire, snuffled about by pigs... (page 14) In England, there was scarcely an amount of order and protection to justify much national boasting. Daring burglaries by armed men, and highway robberies, took place in the capital itself every night... Ethical Issues InvolvingThe Media There is an ongoing debate over how important and necessary ethical behavior is in the business domain. It is arguable due to the advantages and disadvantages that come into to play with every decision. Some stand on the side of the dispute that ethical behavior may slow down one s rate of success, but it ensures that success is accomplished morally and justly. On the other hand, some blatantly argue that ethical behavior is not necessary when one is on the thin line between success and failure. In other words, this side believes unethical behavior is not a problem when one is in desperate need of higher achievement. Businesses often display unethical behavior towards their customers through their advertising in the media, towards their employees through mistreatment, and towards their investors through bribery. In each topic, the importance of ethical behavior is evident. Ethical Issues Involving the Media Media advertisements can contain untrue and misleading information regarding a product. An advertisement for the popular drink known as Vitamin Water has proved to be unethical and deceptive towards customers. The Man WhoSaved Me Out of all of the days I have been alive there is one I will never forget. As I boarded the plane and said goodbye to my family I found my seat and waited for take off. As everyone boarded the plane, I wondered who would be sitting in the open seat next to me. The seat remained empty for quite a while. We were just about getting ready to take off before I heard a man with a deep voice yelling, wait wait, im here. It was then that I knew he would be taking the empty seat next to me. We all buckled our seatbelts and prepared for the the pressure of taking off. We were all asked to turn our phones off, which forced us to start a conversation with the person sitting next to us. I looked over and the man sitting next to me was a tall man who was thin in stature. He had brown hair, green eyes, and a black hat on. I began to try and start a conversation with him but he said very little. He seemed to be very quiet and kept to himself. I asked him where he was headed and he replied with a mumble, and said my friends. I didn t really try to talk to him any more, I let him be. As the plane ride continued I suddenly felt a big jerk. Parents should be thrilled, but some are horrified with what their children are reading. Some are concerned that the mature topics and profanity in novels makes them too inappropriate for certain young adults. To know the content in the books their children are reading they suggest a rating system similar to movies and video games. Tyler was created because of the lack of connection the narrator had with the people around him. The narrator was lonely and attended so many support groups because of it. He was not rejected at the support groups because the members thought he was sick just like they were. Materialism is a reoccurring theme as the narrator mentions how he has worked his entire life for the Ikea items in his apartment. A color filter can be used to alter the way we see the different characters and scenes. The outfits that the characters wear are also important and described in detail in the novel. The setting in which the fights take place at should be dark, damp, and cold as depicted in the novel. The use of saturated color from light off screen and low key lighting may help achieve this. The fights usually take place in a basement so it is appropriate that the lighting be dim. The filmmakers may also want to incorporate point of view shots to give the audience a better understanding of what the narrator is going through. In the novel, the chapters jump around from different settings and almost never continue from where they left off. The editing must find a way to move quickly from scene to scene without confusing the audience. The use of jump cuts may help the audience become accustom to the transitions that occur throughout the story. Summary of TheodoreRoethke s Poem My Papa s Waltz Affection in My Papa s Waltz Theodore Roethke s My Papa s Waltz is a gentle poem, made so by its affectionate and simple tone, its innocence, its light heartedness, and its humor. While other readers, like John Ciardi, have found it to be a poem of terror (Fong 80), when one considers the original drafts, as John J. McKenna does, one sees a much less forbidding melodrama and a much more down to earth representation of home life. This paper will show how Roethke s Waltz uses language, tone, and rhyme to convey, with childlike sensibility, a happy image of an energetic dance with one s father. Roethke s corrections in the original draft seem to be geared towards removing any type of suggestive language or imagery that might rob the poem of its lightheartedness. In the original draft, the boy is a girl and the mother s countenance / Could not unscrew itself (McKenna 35). Apparently the sexual connotations of the latter term were to be avoided and the closeness of a small, dizzy girl to whiskey on your breath was likely an unwanted image as well. By replacing the girl with a boy, and changing unscrew to unfrown, Roethke removed from the poem the two main potential obstacles: abusive, neglectful tone and sexual imagery. Carefully observing the suggestions associated to terms in the English language, Roethke sets the reader in front of a scene of rough housing between father and son, with mother looking on disapprovingly (but comically) because their ... Unfortunately, my mom was an extremely strong enforcer of our faith for she was also raised Catholic from birth, but my dad on the other hand has a more scientific approach to how the world came to be. The years I spent in Sunday school blurred into an everlasting line of bleak nothingness just a ticking clock waiting till an end. Even today I do not remember anything that occurred within those taxing sixty minuets of constant bible studies it s as though I lost the key to the inner workings of my childhood. Nonetheless, there have always been unbelievably great role models in my faith such as my mom, youth ministers, and friends who encourage me to be open to my faith. However, it s always been my own restrictions that prevent me from furthering my relationship with God. So when my sister suffered her first severe ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Fashion In TheWorkplace Essay The workplace can consist of a diversity of people, and a diversity of workplace fashion. Let me tell you about the diverse workplace fashion I observe at my place of employment, South Padre Island City Hall. Being the front desk receptionist, I see most of my coworkers throughout the day and have categorized the fashion at my workplace as follows: The Business Professional, HR Inappropriate, Casual Islander, The Flamboyant Fashionistas, and Office Uniform. In an organization that consists of at least 10 different departments and one hundred and fifty plus employees, personality is displayed through a variety of workplace fashion. The Business Professional. Slacks, suits, and formal dresses or skirts should be worn when there are important meetings being held at City Hall. While City Council meeting days are designated days that business professional attire must be worn by all, there are employees who wear business professional attire throughout the entire week. Our City Manager is fairly new and came from the City of Tyler. Her preferred workplace fashion is business professional with black being the color she wears the most. Within the first few months for working for the city, the City Council advised her that she should try incorporating more color into her wardrobe since the city is an Island as well. She has taken the councils advise and has incorporated a little more color into her wardrobe, but still, black is her go to color. The City Manager s office and much of ... Gram Positive BacteriaAnd Gram Negative Bacteria Bacteria can be divided into two types of species, gram positive bacteria and gram negative bacteria. To determine whether a certain type of bacteria was classified tests were conducted by Hans Christian Gram; who discovered the differences within the cell walls of the bacteria. Gram positive bacteria have a thick wall which consists of the protein peptidoglycan. This is opposite to gram negative bacteria which has a thin cell wall, which fold over each other (Wells, 2017). They retain a much thinner peptidoglycan wall between two membranes. The membrane surrounding the cytoplasm and the outer membrane. (Wikipedia, 2017). Both gram positive and gram negative bacteria both stain, gram positive retains violet dye. Gram positive bacteria don t retain the dye and turn red or pink (Diffen, 2017). Due the difference in cell wall thickness gram negative bacteria is harder to inhibit, compared to gram positive bacteria. Two types of bacteria will be tested throughout this investigation, Serratia Marcescens and Staphylococcus Epidermidis. Serratia Marcescens are gram negative bacteria, which can be found on any surface. They mainly occur in water, soil, or and within animals located in their digestive tract (Antonette B Climaco, 2017 ). They are stained red which can often be mistaken with blood drops. This bacteria can affect the macrophages within the human body, this affects the immune system and the destruction of foreign pathogenic cells within the body. Staphylococcus ... The Dome OfThe Rock In Ravenna, Italy Great pieces of architecture like The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the Church of San Vitale in Ravenna, Italy are important to Byzantine and Islamic Art. Both structures were not just places of worship, but showed the power of the men behind them and the growth of the culture at this time. San Vitale which was constructed under the Bishop Ecclesius around 540 to 548 A.D. and was erected to show the power and achievements of Emperor Justinian. The banker Julius Argenteus provided the funds for San Vitale, and it was dedicated to Bishop Maximian. The Dome of the Rock was built in Jerusalem by Caliph Abd al Malik to mark the triumph of Islam in Jerusalem on a site sacred to Muslims, Christians, and Jews (Gardner and Kleiner B: 285). It is ... The bishop was also in charge of building two other churches, San Michele and Santa Maria, but San Vitale is larger in scale than these two churches, designed as a centrally planned octagonal two story congressional church (Tronchin and Knight 130).The church features two centric octagons. The dome covered inner octagon rises above the surrounding octagon to provide the interior with clerestory lighting (Gardner and Kleiner B: 255). This octagon shape brings the parishioners to the center of the church, allowing them to become part of the service, which is not found in a traditional church. The dome is constructed on eight piers and arches which are surrounded by an ambulatory and a gallery. Much of the inside is marble and gold and the church walls have many windows to let the sun in to shine on this gold. Light filtered through the alabaster paned windows and plays over glittering mosaics and flowing marble (Gardner 255) which shows the beauty and lavish pieces Justinian put into this construction, even though the outside is dull and made mostly of bricks. However, this becomes another difference concerning these two monuments. The dome of San Vitale shows the Roman influence, with a figure of Christ, marbles and glittering galleries and the Dome of the Rock features a more ordinary approach with geometric shapes and calligraphy as well as extraordinary colors used in Islamic ... Educational Funding LevelsFor Public Schools Essay The formula budgeting approach is the method most commonly used by states, including Georgia, to determine K 12 educational funding levels for public schools (Green, 2014). This approach utilizes a fixed method to allocate funds and, as maintained by Green (2014), is intended to provide an objective, efficient, and equitable manner to distribute state education funds to local schools districts. However, as observed with Georgia s own funding formula, this budgeting approach falls short when full funding is not provided. As a result, funding inequities do occur as local sources of revenue vary across the state. Established by the Georgia legislature in 1985, the Quality Basic Education (QBE) funding formula was designed to equitably provide K 12 educational services for Georgia students (Suggs, 2015). The appropriation of QBE is to provide formula funds to school systems based on full time equivalent (FTE) students in grades K 12 as outlined in O.C.G.A. 20 2 161 (Governor s Budget Report, 2015). The funding formula is comprised of three broad areas that are combined to fund and equalize funding from state and local revenue sources; the formula is QBE earnings plus any categorical grants plus the equalization. (The Basics of Quality Basic Education (QBE) Funding, n.d). Furthermore, the formula is calculated based on two components: total enrollment and student characteristics. It is based upon FTE student counts across nineteen instructional programs (FY 16 GA QBE ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Impressionism And ItsImpression On Modern Art Impressionism And its Impression on Modern Art One of the earliest forms of communication and documentation was art, from cave paintings, to Egyptian Hieroglyphs, to Renaissance portraits. Throughout the beginning of time, artistic style has evolved, and is still continuing to evolve. One early impact on Modern Art was Impressionism. Impressionism was defined as French nineteenth century art movement between 1867 and 1886 that marks the momentary break from tradition in European painting. In the middle of the nineteenth century the Academie des Beaux Arts dominated French arts. The Academie was the preserver of traditional French painting standards of content and style. Historical subjects, religious themes, and portraits were valued; Landscapes and still lifes were not. The Academie preferred carefully finished images that look realistic when examined closely. Paintings in the style were made up with precise brush strokes carefully blended to hide the artist hands in their work. Color was restrained and were often toned down farther by using a gold varnish. The Academie held an annual art show called the Salon de Paris. In the early 1860 s four young painters Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, and Frederic Bazille met while studying under the academic artist, Charles Gleyre. They discovered that they shared an interest in painting landscapes and contemporary life rather than historical or mythological scenes. During the 1860 s the Salon rejected many ... Advantages Of DiscountBrokers The advent of discount brokers in the Indian market have revolutionized the way trading is done in India. Discount brokerages have heavily brought down the cost of trading. This has proven to be a boon to the traders especially the intraday and the derivatives trades. Discount brokerages like RKSV and Zerodha have already started hurting the broking industry. Full service brokers had made a request to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to impose a minimum slab on the brokerage being charged by discount brokers. At a brokerage of Rs.30 on per lot of Option one has to pay a brokerage of around Rs.150 for 5 lots. There are also duties and taxes which increase it to Rs.200.When the same thing is done through a discount brokerage the brokerage cost is Rs.20 and adding the taxes and duties it come to Rs.40. There is saving of Rs.150. It directly adds more money to the profits. 2. No need to sacrifice the quality of the execution. There is no difference between trading through a regular broker and a discount broker. There is still the old facility of call and trade. There is the new facility of mobile trading and online trading. 3. More high frequency trades The reduction of brokerage brings down the breakdown even. The intraday brokerage for discount brokerage is 0.01% or Rs.20, whichever is lower. So, in small trades, when a trader buys at 100.01 and sells at 100.05, he still makes profit. In large trades, the advantage is even more as the brokerage is even less due to the Rs.20 cap. This reduction of breakeven point enables a trader to do more frequency ...
