Environmentally friendly production of goods and services
Environmentally friendly production is when natural resources are conserved and aren t exploited. The
benefits to this type of production is lower costs (reduce, reuse, recycle), attract new customers as
being environmentally friendly makes a business/country stand out from the rest, and there is
improved sustainability. There are various methods to be applied to the production of goods and
services in order for it to become more beneficial to the environment.
We need to incorporate renewable energy for power and electricity through resources such as sunlight
(solar panels), wind (turbines), rain (micro hydro systems), and geothermal heat (power plants) instead
of using fossil fuels. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We need to increase and maintain our free trade agreements so that our international relations increase
so countries can continue to sell and buy products where a larger variety of goods and services are
attainable at a lower price.
Maintenance should be carried out through analysis of the disadvantages of FTA:
An effect of FTA is an increased job outsourcing. Countries concerned about outsourcing can insist
that foreign companies build local factories as part of the deal. They can require that these companies
share technology and train local workers in the latest techniques.
Following that, there is degradation of natural resources through deforestation and strip mining which
reduce their jungles and fields to become wastelands. As a solution, we should regulate the
environmental impact through environmental safe guard. More labour laws enforcing satisfactory

Challenges Faced By The World Today
CONCLUSION
Security is one of the major challenges that is being faced by the world today, as seen by continuous
revelations about breaches and incidents. On this note of insecurity and unpredictability, banking
industry is keen to redefine its approach to security thereby making an attempt to balance three critical
factors i.e. cost, innovation and risk. On parallel grounds, the domain of internal security is
undergoing drastic changes that mandates banking institutions to embrace new set of skills and
practices. Fraud can be categorized as a business risk it is like a sword of Damocles over a bank s
future. This must change for the good. The rapid pace with which the technology is changing, like the
recent explosion of cellular customers, is often entailed by necessary evils. An unstoppable tsunami is
engulfing banks with their employees and clients carrying their private electronic gadgets to work.
Similarly, applicants for BYOD has surged and simultaneously it accelerates the rate of security
threats, both ethically and technologically. Online banking proves to be the antithesis of all the
innovations of security professionals due to their identifiable features such as their mobility, richness
in data and susceptibility to theft.
Threat modelling and vulnerability assessment offers new insights that facilitates a more pro active
approach to security, provided organizations pay equal focus to the ever growing market of potential
threats. It should be acknowledged that

The Serpent In Dante s Inferno
The serpent that is illustrated in Genesis is a creature who represented Satan who then enticed Eve into
eating out of the garden of Eden with the crafty words, You will not certainly die, the serpent said to
the woman (Genesis, 3:4). The serpent in these works symbolizes evil and how the temptation of it the
sin is difficult to escape after being committed. After discussing the serpent representing the difficulty
of escaping it whether it is temptation or the impossible escape of the devil like serpent after
committing the sin. The sin then becomes repetitive. Maybe due to the fact that it is pleasurable or
easy. Dante uses the repetition of the sinner s torment symbolized the repetition of sin. In line 107,
Dante relates the punishment cycle of the sinners to the phoenix with, The Phoenix dies to be reborn
again (24.107). Dante uses a phoenix s life to relate to these sinners, which also symbolizes sin. Wes
Anderson believes the phoenix had a different symbolism. Deal with life, Anderson said The Phoenix
Symbolize new life in myth. In Hell, they re new death (1). Due to the phoenix s never ending
existence and these sinners also rise again after burning to ashes who are attacked by the serpents. It
can symbolize sin in life that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The symbolism and the elements that dealt with the points all had to deal with temptation or the
outcome of the temptation whether it was for sin or not. Those who want to get rich fall into
temptation and a trap and into many foolish harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and
destruction (1 Timothy, 6:9). As we saw with Vanni Fucci, he committed against a sacristy. He may
have failed to resist the temptation of becoming rich with possibly selling the stolen items, but the sin
he had committed cause him the torment that had received from the serpents. With sin being
repetition, Vanni Fucci suffered a never ending torment.

Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to get hands on experience with the use of EEG.
Electroencephalography was used on our subject to observe cerebral wavelengths, with the attachment
of three electrode leads to the head. Wavelengths, consisting of alpha, beta, delta, and theta rhythms,
were recorded and analyzed to test our null hypothesis of the subject being active in two scenarios:
closed eyes and opened eyes. In addition, the subject was put into various mental stimulations. The
null hypothesis was not rejected, as the recorded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The beta wave standard deviation measurements were also higher when the eyes were closed and the
same resulted with delta and theta waves. In terms of EEG frequencies, we computed the mean of
three different cycles of each rhythm. For alpha waves, we came up with the following means: alpha

Machiavellian Villain Research Paper
The Machiavellian Villain Shakespeare s early plays deal with historical moments from the English
throne. His morality and revenge plays can be seen as historical records of kings who are legitimate or
illegitimate to rule Britain. These plays represent the influence of Niccolo Machiavelli s The Prince on
Shakespeare. Shakespeare s early plays explore the idea of a Machiavellian villain of Elizabethan
drama. According to Charles Ross, the term Machiavellian is used to describe the actions of a political
leader who ignores claims of conscience and instead justifies the ends by the means (317). The
political leader is more concerned about his political expediency that is above morality and takes
advantage of his authority and power. Shakespeare s Richard III considers as the most Machiavellian
villain of the morality plays. Shakespeare concentrates on the transformation of Richard into
Machiavellian character because of the crown of England. Richard is a significant figure in the
historical plays whose behavior shows that he is not only a Machiavellian villain but also a traditional
vice figure. The traditional vice figure usually is a personification of evil desires that ... Show more

declares that he feels insecure and isolated from his society because of his physical deformity. He also
expresses his motives from the beginning of the play that he will kill anyone who will be the king.
Richard kills his brother Clarence and causes the death of Edward IV. He becomes the devil who
violates the norms of his religion and society. In addition, He determines that he has no hand of being
a villain, but God does not protect him from damnation. The play shows how several people curse
Richard and how he transforms into a Machiavellian villain because of these

Remember The Name Analysis
Remember the Name (Radio Edit) is a song very similar to my life. Not only does this show my love
of hip hop and rap music, but it represents me as a person. The chorus line that repeats throughout the
song, This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100%
reason to remember the name... represents how hard I have to work in school and sports, especially
lacrosse and water polo throughout my everyday life. Another quote, He doesn t need his name up in
lights, he just wants to be heard whether it s the beat of the mic, he feels so unlike everyone else,
alone, in spite of the fact people still think they know him. But no, he knows the code, it s not about

And it sounds like how I want to live my life. Never concerned with status, but still leavin them
starstruck. This is an example of how it reflects my goals, to not care what people think, but still leave
them starstruck. This song explains how most people work with an ultimate goal of fame and glory,
and to become known throughout history, but I believe that there are people who don t always want
that. Next, Put it together himself, now the picture connects. Never askin for someone s help and get
some respect. Lines like these are why I chose this song, because they give a good story that reminds
me of my own. He never asks for anyone s help, he works hard for what he wants all by himself.
Finally, this is my theme song because it demonstrates my goal and work ethic in life and reminds
people to be humble and that only you and you alone can work hard to achieve a

Release of Information in Mental Health and Development...
In the event of releasing any patient information it is important to make sure that all of your T s are
crossed and your I s are dotted before the transaction is complete. However, because specialized
patient records, such as Mental health or substance abuse cases, contain not only strictly medical
information, but also therapeutic mental and emotional information, the release of this type of
information could cause some damage to the patient (McWay, 2010, p. 227). This is why the release of
information concerning this type of patient records is different from that of a patient record without
delicate information in it.
In a general medical record a patient is entitled to a copy of his or her record, the only thing they
would have to do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to HIPAA the disclosure of PHI is prohibited, except when the patient has signed a release
of information form that authorizes PHI to be released or disclosed to a specific party (Sheahan) .
With the release of information there are different rules that need to be followed in order to protect the
patient s privacy. With mental health information in a patient s medical record, it makes the release of
information more difficult and there are different rules that need to be followed in order to protect the
patient s privacy.
Patient specific information recorded and communications made in the course of providing mental
health or developmental disability services are considered confidential and may not be disclosed
except as provided by law (McWay, 2010, p. 239) . A patient s medical record is property of the
hospital or the facility that created the record. However, the information held in the record is the
possessions of the patient, and a copy of the record (with a mental health or development disability
case) can be released to the patient as long as he/she is twelve years old. Also a patient who is twelve
years old has the power to consent to release information to a third party. The release of a health
record, with a mental health or development disability issue, can be permitted to the patient s legal
guardian without the consent of the patient, if the patient is under the age of twelve years old.

Summary Of The Help By Kathryn Stockett
Differences do not divided people, it is the inability to accept these differences that divided people
which often leads to adversity and obstacles for minorities, In the book The Help by Kathryn Stockett,
African American maids face prejudice and hardships daily. This novel highlights the many conflicts
people face during the civil rights movement in Jackson, Mississippi 1962. There is a big divide
between the middle and lower class; most of the Black people live in poverty and work for white
families, Aibileen and Minny are maids that work for white families, Eugenia Phlean is a white
socialite who is pursuing a career as a writer. She returns from college to find that the maid that raised
her has inexplicably disappeared. Together Minny, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

face, she eventually has to turn against her racist friends (Holly Holbrook and Miss Leefolt). Eugenia
was very close to her maid Constantine, she was closer to her then her own mother, but Eugenia
stopped hearing from her while she was at college. When she came home from school, Constantine
mysteriously disappeared and no one would tell her what happened to her. Later on, she finds out that
Constantine left Jackson to give up her child for adoption because Constantine s father was white and
her mother was black, so when she had a baby with a black man, her baby was white. if she kept her
baby, the community would not accept them because she was black and her baby was white. After
Constantine got in contact with her daughter and came back to Jackson, Skeeter s mom gave
Constantine a choice; either cut ties with her daughter or she was fired, she choice to quit and later
died, Eugenia had no knowledge about this because she was away in college, this motivated her to
write a book about the lives of black maids, She understands that nothing is progressing in Jackson for
civil rights, so she must do something, she states But then I realize, like a shell cracking open in my
head, there s no difference between those government laws and Hilly building Aibileen a bathroom in

Mongolia and its Stand on The Atomic Bomb, Disarment and...
Mongolia was once the largest empire that mankind had ever known. Mongolia is located in central
Asia between Siberia on the north and China on the south. The term Mongol came from the tribe of
Genghis Khan, who instaured the biggest empire ever known to mankind. Mongolia had to choose
between China and Russia, two powers that share borders with it. The Mongolian government chooses
to adopt the communist ideology of Russia. During the 1960s, tension between Russia and china grew,
with the soviet attempting to conduct preemptive nuclear strike at Chinese nuclear plants. In 1992,
Mongolian President Punsalmaagiin Ochirbat announced that his country would seek to become a one

The author of Mongolia s Nuclear Weapon Free Status: Concept and Practice by T Enkhsaikhan,
points out that article 4 of the two treaties signed with Russia and China stressed the importance of
keeping Mongolia a zone free of nuclear weapons and military influences of its neighbors. The author
mentions how Mongolia was a fervent supporter of disarmament in the article. Mongolia is part of the
G28 Group, a coalition of nonnuclear developing states, which call nuclear weapons states to
dismantle their total arsenals within a period of time. Another important remark is how the author
mentions that Mongolia was one of the first to sign and ratify the NPT and the seventh country to
ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The main reason why Mongolia is supporting the
disarmament is mostly due to the tension that exists between China and Russia, two neighboring
countries with nuclear weapons. By freeing its soil from nuclear armament, no countries should
deploy nuclear weapons in its territories. By officially declaring Mongolia NWFZ, Mongolia has a
better chance to transform its territory on a front war if Russia and China had to go war. III.
Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space The Non Aligned Movement is concerned with the
militarization of the space. It solely supports the idea of exploring the space for peaceful purpose and
not for military experiments. An arm race in the space can have a serious impact on the global security
and such notion of

Five Variants Of Christianity
The traditional beliefs that are traditionally associated with Christianity are the founded from their
sacred text, the bible. Which is believed to be divinely inspired and authoritative. This is going to
focus on the major five variants of Christianity. The five major variants are: Orthodox, Roman
Catholic, Anglican, Protestant and last but not the least by far, Pentecostal.
The principle beliefs can be broken down into 5 points which are: The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus
Christ, the Death and Resurrection of Christ, Nature of God and the Trinity, Revelation and Salvation.
The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus Christ refers to the statement that Jesus was fully human and
fully God. This statement can vary largely for the major variants. Orthodox ... Show more content on

However, some of the more liberal churches take a different approach and discard different pieces of
the Bible which they do not think are inspired by God, they think that the Bible is flawed with human
imperfection.
Salvation is believed by all the major variants of Christianity. Pentecostals believe in an afterlife and
that you can only enter through belief in Jesus. They believe that there is heaven and hell and people
will be divided up in the end times.
Protestants and Catholics have a similar belief about salvation. They both believe that they are saved
by God s grace alone. However, the difference between Protestants and Catholics is how they respond
to God s grace.
The protestant belief is that they are saved by faith alone. Some Protestants even say that there is
nothing one can do to earn a spot in heaven. All you have to do is accept Jesus Christ into your soul as
your personal lord and saviour and you are saved. Works are not mentioned in this, some
denominations say, once saved always

The Nature of Thought in Joyce Essay
The Nature of Thought in Joyce
Thought is a problem in Joyce s work. His characters obscure trains of thought and remembrance
constantly challenge the reader to keep up. I will argue that the depths of this obscurity are not, in fact,
murky; they are a response to his introspection about the nature of thought, and reflect a coherent
theory. Joyce often repeats phrases, and he makes such repetitions noticeable in order to direct the
reader to the questions: What is thought? And what are the unconscious processes of the mind? His
characters are unpredictable, experiencing truly surprising emotional reactions. This unexpectedness
adds depth and verisimilitude to characterization; as in life, the strongest emotional experiences are
ones ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When he makes the speech, the comparison between his aunts and the Three Graces pleases them very
much. He decides that, since his speech has been so successful, it would be safer not to risk offense,
and hastens to his close (139). The events of the story, and not so much Gabriel, are the reason he
chooses to leave the quotation out.
There is another factor that contributes to his willingness to drop the verses: he has already
accomplished his aim of working in Browning, by spontaneously borrowing from his own review of
the poet s recent work: But we are living in a skeptical and, if I may use the phrase, a thought
tormented age (138). His original words were One feels that one is listened to a thought tormented
music (130). Because the article is on Gabriel s mind (after his confrontation with Miss Ivors), the
phrase thought tormented is there for him to use. The fact that he does preface it with if I may use the
phrase suggests that he is aware of what he is doing.
However, Gabriel makes two other crucial word choices that are unconscious but telling. They are
apparent under a close reading, and even produce a vague feeling of familiarity under casual reading.
Gabriel s cousin Mary Jane says, as Gabriel and Gretta prepare to leave, I read this morning in the
newspapers that the snow is general all over Ireland (144). And in conversation at dinner, Mary Jane

My Story About A Girl
I sat down next to a girl who was drawing a picture in the front of the classroom with some crayons. I

Ebay And Pricing Goods When The Buyer s Value Of The Item
Auctions are fundamentally about allocating and pricing goods when the buyer s value of the item is
unknown in order to maximise the value of the good.
There are different types of auction design used and according to revenue equivalence theory, no
matter what auction design is used; expected revenue will be the same if bidders are risk neutral; each
auction design is equally profitable.
Sealed bid auctions requires bidders to submit their bid in a sealed envelope without the knowledge of
other participants bids. Whereas ascending/descending auctions price and allocation are determined in
an open competition among the bidders. The price of the good increases/decreases until only one
bidder remains and no other bidders are willing to top ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eventually, neither Roche nor Zeneca actually entered the bidding, and Wellcome was sold at the
original bid of 9 billion pounds, literally a billion or two less than its shareholders might have
received.
In an ascending auction, there is a strong presumption that the firm, which values winning the most,
will be the eventual winner, because even if it is outbid at an early stage, it can eventually top any
opposition. As a result, other firms have little incentive to enter the bidding, and
In ascending and sealed bid auctions, there is the risk of the winners curse which may weaken
biddings in auctions. Winners curse occurs when the winner of the good bids significantly higher than
the true value of the good, which in turn causes them to be worse off. It s understood that the
smaller/weaker firms to the industry have to be epically cautious, as they are only likely to win when
they have overestimated the value by even more than usual. The advantage bidder can be less
cautious, since beating very cautious opponents does not imply they have overestimated the value.
Hence, the advantaged bidder most likely wins generally paying a low price(Klemperer,1998).
This is evident in the case of the auction for Premier Leauge TV between Sky, BT and ITV. BT won
the bid of £900 million, three year deal giving exclusive rights to all European club football away
from Sky and ITV, paying well over the odds. Whereas Sky was thought

Essay On Second Life By Nik Hale
The documentary, Life 2.0, is about the online platform, Second Life. The name of the world is pretty
self explanatory; it allows users to create an avatar and do any of the things that are possible in the real
world; only this is virtual. Mike Hale from the New York Times reviewed this documentary, writing
both good and bad things about it. Rik Panganiban, also known as rikomatic on his blog and other
online forums, saw Life 2.0 and was not a fan.
Both reviewers talk about the main focus of the documentary, as well as how the characters are
depicted, and why. Both reviewers point out that the film focuses on the negative aspects of Second
Life and how the users are affected, generalizing all of the forum s users. While Hale would have liked
the documentary to focus less on the drama in these peoples lives and more on the way that Second
Life functions, Panganiban is disappointed that it failed to show how the platform allows users to
express and explore themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, he ends his review with, It s enough to make you want to escape the real world. My
speculation as to what he means is that even though the documentary was judgmental, it compelled the
viewer to judge the main characters, which means it was successful. Panganiban on the other hand,
was very subjective and informal in his review (he even uses swear words a couple times), because it
is a post on his blog. Hale uses longer, more complex sentences than Panganiban, which are more
cryptic. This may be because of their

The Resurrection Research Paper
It s not enough that the tomb is empty. It s not enough to proclaim, Christ is risen! It s not enough to
believe in the resurrection. At some point we must move from the event of the resurrection to
experiencing the resurrection. Experiencing resurrected life begins with recognizing the risen Christ
among us. That is the gift of Easter and it is also the difficulty and challenge described in today s
gospel.
The Gospel authors (especially Luke and John) go to great lengths to show that there s something
different about the resurrected Christ. Something so different that Mary Magdalene doesn t recognize
Jesus, and in fact mistakes him for the gardener, on Easter morning. And then the disciples on the road
to Emmaus talk about Jesus all afternoon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Gospels don t tell us what exactly was different about Jesus. Just that he is unrecognizable. Until
Jesus calls Mary by name, or until he breaks bread with the disciples. Then they came to know that he
is Jesus.
Very quietly, gently, the evangelists communicate something very important to us: something happens
in the resurrection which makes Jesus new. They are coy about the details. But, we don t need the
details to know that something is going on here.
But, one of the other things that the Gospel authors are also clearly intent on showing us, is that it s
really Jesus who rose from the dead. It s not a ghost. Not a spirit. Not a vision. Not a hallucination.
You can t reach out and touch a hallucination. Visions don t eat broiled fish. That new reality begins
with touching and seeing, flesh and bones, hands and feet, and broiled fish. Jesus said to his disciples,
Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I myself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have
flesh and bones as you see that I have. Then he showed them his hands and his feet. After this he ate a
piece of broiled fish in their presence. After the resurrection of Lord Jesus A little boy was

Buerger s disease is an inflammatory disorder affecting small and medium sized arteries with
unknown etiology and strong association with smoking. It is a difficult disease to treat and abstinence
from smoking is must to arrest the progress. Conservative treatments like vasodilators, anti

feasible usually. Sympathectomy, though widely used works partially or not at all. Progression of the
disease invariably leads to amputation. Over the years, the methods and devices have evolved and its

Reflection In The Poetry Of Emily Dickinson sRoom
From another perspective. Sometimes lost, deep in thoughts, tough emotions and feelings. Sometimes
looking, staring but again not watching something. Sometimes imaging big dreams, big things
distracted in soul visions but never finding anything in reality. Surrounded by same objects, life,
people, big roads, big decisions, choices. We, the people we are unique, we are a mosaic with rare,
colorful pieces. The way we live the life, enjoy the world, see the things makes us who we are. In dark
or light, confident or not, walking or halting. Under the sun s beam, warm and relieved; under the cold
moon and shining stars that fill the black, mysterious, endless sky,thinking in sadness. Often in reality;
rarely in our mind. Every time contemplating the miracles of the nature. Enjoying the infinite universe
with just two finite eyes just enough. Every creature that can see has a power. And all creatures have
another one called the art of seeing vision.
Can we do without the windows of soul eyes?
Can we live with feelings and vision?
This question can have thousands of questions full of emotions. A diversity of thoughts for a theme
that raises contradictions. I think no, you think maybe but what does Dickinson think? What does the
blind poet that feels the world from her room thinks? Some critics have used her life to try to explain
her poetry, and others have tried to explain her life by referring to her poems, which they assume are
autobiographical. Emily Dickinson is a passionate poet that expresses herself without barriers. With a
diamond hard language that reflects light to the dark and hope, inspiration till the last moment.
Emily Dickinson s poetry speaks powerfully to us. It captures her insights and recreates meaningful
events in living; it helps us to understand and even to re live our own experiences through her
intensity and with her emotional and intellectual clarity. In the first stanza Before she got her eye put

first, the construction would indicate that the speaker used to enjoy seeing and it was the only way to

General Zhousbek s Battle Analysis
Late that morning, he received news that General Zhousbek had arrived and directed the guard to
surreptitiously escort him to the throne room. Pleased at how fast General Zhousbek had responded to
his summons, he entered the room to find the guard and General Zhousbek already waiting, and after
guard s formal introduction, ordered the guard out.
General Zhousbek, you made good time getting here. Did you have any trouble along the way?
No, Count Nightburn. Everything went according to plan.
Is your army ready to march against Parsis?
Yes, we are ready, my lord, and you will glad to hear that my army is larger and stronger than when
they fought their last campaign.
Excellent and do you know how many you command?
No, my lord. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rest of you, get ready as well. This meeting is over. We depart in one hour for the plains of
Whitefield. The room emptied quickly, excitement evident in the mens interchanges. In the courtyard,
Sir Faine equipped with his armor and weapons, motioned for the stable boy to bring him his horse
with the boy appearing almost immediately from within the stable, leading his already saddled horse.
Grabbing the reins from the boy, he quickly mounted and rode out to join the men who were waiting
for him. It was no secret that Lord Nightburn planned to use catapults in the siege of Whitefield since
they lined the streets of Banniff. Riding up to the lieutenant left in charge, he exchanged words, then
he shouted the order, resulting with the catapults beginning to move out of the city. A large detail of
soldiers, perhaps, fifty in number, rode on either side of the devices, with an equal number bringing up
the rear. Sir Faine and his lieutenant led the group, setting a brisk pace for everyone to

Atlanta s Journey-Personal Narrative
Atlanta, the center of the world. Jewel of the Carolinian federation. That s what everyone calls it. I ve
lived here for over ten years and made my existence in the outer skirts. Farmlands and rice fields are
what I know; it s what I learned. Everyone seems to love their vegetables. Corn, rice, greens, and
gourds. Few require the want or money to need red meat regularly. It s not like we have too much
space to raise beef cows anyway. The thing I remember about my mother and father are they could not
keep me. I remember them going on a train and chugging away in God knows what direction, I was
but four years old. I didn t even have a photo of them. I got to reference. For many times, I ve
described their likeness to the city records painter. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I dip my pen in the inkwell and write. Soaring messenger on the horizons, Not lone but with
companion s forms trio, Sending the collapse of mighty fathers and sons, The message brings love
with a duo. I look at the clock again and see it s already 8. The shop should be busy with gossipers
from the announcement. I put on my sleep clothes like a sloth, one piece at a time at molasses pace. I
start up the creaky stairs to my room and see out the window the city still showing its colors on the
walls, banners, and lights alike. The bed is cold, but it warms up quickly. I love how my silver and
blue covers seek to keep me warm like a comforting thing wrapping around my body protecting me.
What will tomorrow hold? What will next week hold? Next month? It s like Fox said, These times are
times to protect each other. What will I do to answer this call? I can t fight! I can farm, serve, and
make a home! And who says that s not contributing? I fall to sleep thinking about the future of
Carolina. The future of Atlanta, the future of

The First Generation Of K Pop Groups
The first generation of K pop groups started with the S.M. group H.O.T in 1996. Some of the
remarkable first generation groups were H.O.T., Shinhwa, G.O.D., and S.E.S. The target audience for
the first generation K pop groups were teens. Their images, clothing styles, music, and personalities
all catered and appealed to the teens. For example, groups like H.O.T and Sechs Kies embraced
rebellious identities and criticized the South Korean education system. At the same time, they released
dance music along to clarify that their identities were closer to attractive teen oriented products than to
messengers of social criticism, (Kim 90). In addition, broadcasting system had an importance in
gaining dedicated fans during the first generation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is the social media age right now; thus, social media presence helps many newly debuted groups
gain more exposure. Gangnam Style by PSY certainly influenced the new Hallyu wave (the Korean
wave) due to its global success and western recognition. World tours and overseas schedules rapidly
increased in the third generation. Right now, almost all of the new generation idols have Twitter and
Instagram accounts where they can interact with fans from all around the world. YouTube is of big
importance in determining the success of the groups of the new generation. Third generation groups
significantly gain more views on their music videos compared to the older generations. Some of the
most famous third generation idols are BTS, Twice, Red Velvet, Wanna One, and Seventeen. At this
point, measurements of success and accomplishments have gradually changed through different
generations of K pop; some were mentioned in the overall generation descriptions. The conditions of
the eras in which the groups debuted differed from generation to generation and these differences
prevent fair comparisons between old and new generation K pop groups. K pop s rising popularity
outside of Korea increased the importance of accomplishments based on youtube views, social media
presence, international awards, western recognition, and album sales. To give an example of the
increased value of

I would ask this because there is always at least one person who tries to abuse the system and I would
like to know what prevention techniques there are for this. My second question would be: How did
you come up with the idea for Zipcar? I would like to know this because it is inspirational to hear
those who have had success, discuss their success and allow others to learn and potentially develop
great ideas as well. Speaking to those that are experienced in the field is something that many young
entrepreneurs would love to hear more about. My final question that I would ask is: What was a major
hurdle that you had to get over in the early stages of Zipcar? I would ask this because overcoming
obstacles is something that everyone can relate to and when you see a majorly successful
businesswoman it is often forgotten that they had to overcome obstacles. Recognizing that they were
in your shoes once is humbling and can often refocus your efforts and can motivate you to continue

The Ghost Of King Leopold
The film The Ghost of King Leopold portrays the struggles of native people in the Congo as King
Leopold of Belgium drained the region of natural resources and exploited the native population.
Leopold imperializes the Congo very easily because, the rest of the world took his word, when he said
he was bettering the Congo region, in reality he was filling his own pockets. Leopold reigned from
1885 1908; he enslaved the native people of the Congo and used the whole region as his own personal
plantation. Leopold took many things from the Congo; his largest profit margin was from the natural
resources. Leopold extracted Ivory and Rubber in enormous amounts from the Congo, through the use
of the labor of the native people. Leopold s efforts greatly

Malcolm Gladwell s The Science Of Shopping, By Malcolm...
In a world perceived under constant surveillance much like the dystopian setting of George Orwell s
1984 novel, it is expected to view the practices that Malcolm Gladwell introduced in his article, The
Science of Shopping, as frightening. However, the main intentions of these remarkable tactics are
greatly misunderstood and Gladwell does an excellent job of clearing up many misconceptions around
this topic. For instance, he introduces Paco Underhill, a self proclaimed urban geographer who is a
professional in the field of retail planning and posses a lengthy list of credentials. He also identifies
and illustrates the concepts of decompression zone, invariant right, petting, butt brush theory in his
article and breaks down their purposes because there is a precise science in how the average consumer
shops and specialists have decoded these behaviors. Unfortunately, a large portion of the population is
petrified of Underhill s capabilities and these psychological techniques that markets use to lure
potential consumers. Although this is a typical reaction considering the state of society as of today,
Gladwell correctly clarifies these misinterpretations all throughout his article. Furthermore, all of
these maneuvers that he mentioned serve as hooks to attract customers are essential to the retailing
industry and Paco Underhill tests them out by inspecting shoppers via surveillance cameras. His
research is based on the psychological patterns of the average customer and his

Human Rights in China Essay
Human Rights in China
One of the first things that come to mind about human rights in China would most likely be the
Tiananmen Square massacre, where in 1989 hundreds of student protestors lost their lives to the
People s Republic of China.
The bloody body of a dead student removed from the street right after the Tiananmen Square
crackdown on June 4, 1989. Web page http://www.rjgeib.com/thoughts/china/china.html The name
People s Republic of China seems a contradiction of its meaning. If indeed its name is the People s
Republic of China than why did it massacre peaceful protestors with tanks and machine guns? But the
Chinese government argues that the force was necessary for maintaining a national order (Muzhi
Zhu). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thereafter, several leaders of the movement were sentenced to long prison terms in late December,
and hundreds of others were sentenced to reeducation through labor. Late in the year, according to
some reports, the government started confining some Falun Gong adherents to psychiatric hospitals
(China Country Report on Human Rights Practices for 1999).
The government continued to commit widespread and well documented human rights abuses in
violation of internationally accepted terms. These abuses stemmed from the government s extremely
limited tolerance of public unrest. The Constitution and laws provide for fundamental human rights
however, these rights are often ignored in practice. Abuses included instances of extra judicial killings,
torture and mistreatment of prisoners, forced confessions, arbitrary arrest and detention, lengthy
incommunicado detention, and denial of due process(Amnesty International. China, violations of
human rights). Prison conditions at most facilities remained very harsh. In many cases, especially in
sensitive political cases, the judicial system denied criminal defendants basic legal safeguards and due
process of the law, merely because authorities attached higher priorities to maintaining public order
and suppressing political opposition than to enforcing the legal norms of the country (Amnesty
International. China, violations of human rights). The government infringed on citizens privacy rights.

I am writing to you again, feeling like I haven t talked to you in a long time. I hope that you are well.

time to disconnect from the stressful routine for a bit, and thank God that we have these periods to get
away from the busy daily pressures. I m already beginning to smell the end of the studies, and it is
another thing that brings me comfort and also pride. I am proud that I am finally graduating.

The Usage Of Search Engine Optimization
How lucky we are to be living in this century, with the technology that is available to us. All around us
is the opportunity to cast our nets and create an affordable and visually stunning marketing campaign
all at a fraction of the cost it would have in the past. Targeted and geographical marketing is like a fine
science now (much more precise) and businesses are reaching places they never thought possible.
Search engines, social media, and blogging are the common place to promote services and products.
The questions that I am aiming to answer today are how the three compare to each other, and also do
you really need to use all three to be successful/ should you intertwine them all to create a triple threat
to competitors? The gateway to searching for your business is with the usage of a search engine. When
you think of an item that you would like to purchase you type into the search engine those key words .
The usage of search engine optimization (SEO) is what gets your businesses name at the forefront of
the page (Kissmetrics 2016). For example, if you are going to search for sporting goods , the first six
names that come up are all for the retail chain Dick s Sporting Goods. Further down the page is also a
listing for Dunham s Sports (another sports merchandise retailer), but it is clear that Dick s has the
market cornered as far as SEO is concerned. What did they do different than Dunham s to get these
coveted spots? Number one, they have the sponsored ad

Competition Policy On Two Sided
1 Competition policy on two sided markets: literature review
On a TSM, an intermediary platform provides services allowing two sides of users to interact with
each other. For example, an online market serves sellers on one side and buyers on the other side. An
integral part of every TSM is externality between two sides: buyers benefit from a greater number of
sellers and products proposed on the platform, sellers benefit from a greater number of potential
buyers who use the platform. The utility obtained by each side depends on the number of users on the
other side and vice versa.
According to Rochet and Tirole (2006),
a market is two sided if the net utility on one side increases (decreases) with the number of members
on the other side, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theory of two sided markets was partially based on and is related to the theory of intermediation
and of multi product firms. A TSM model is close to the model of a multi production: two products are
represented by two services to side 1 and to side 2 with interconnected demands. The profit function
of a two sided platform could describe behavior of a multi product monopoly, given that both models
are characterized by nonzero cross elasticities. But the mechanisms of demand interdependence are
different. In case of two linked products, demand on one good depends directly on the price of the
other complement or substitute good, and this price interdependence is internalized by one consumer
who wants to use both goods. On multisided markets, demand on one good doesn t depend directly on
the price of another good, but on the level of its consumption.
Positive externalities between two sides imply negative cross elasticities. The well known result is that
multi product monopolist s price in the case of negative price elasticities
(product complementarity) is lower. By analogous reasoning, under two sided positive externalities
prices on both sides are lower, and the number of consumers on both sides is higher than without
externalities. Price of each side positively depends on the externalities it creates on the one side and

Task 2
Using Tannenbaum and Schmidt s (1958) Continuum for leadership and involvement, my
management style is Consult (Participative). This style allows me to adapt if/when required. It gives
me the capacity to make the final decision with the added benefit of tapping into the ideas of
subordinates. I think you can become blinkered and stagnate if you have held a position for sometime
without listening to the ideas and view points of others.
The benefits of this style are; openness to new ideas, encouraging innovation and increased efficiency.
Due to the improved communication, it empowers employees to increase their ownership in their work
which increases efficiency, productivity, consequently decreasing absenteeism, employee turnover and
limiting the cost of manufacture. Being involved in decision making means they can immediately pin
point areas for improvement, there is greater focus on self management, leading to increased skill sets
with lesser need of supervision and support staff. Better communication leads to fewer grievances,
with many issues resolved on the spot.
Resistance to change is the biggest obstacle for this method, as employees have the right to not
participate or may become sceptical of management using the information gained to manipulate them.
The Tells (Autocratic)
This is where a leader/manager has

Workmanship Warranty
What Does The Workmanship Warranty Mean? Replacing your roof is an expensive venture. Several
parties are involved in roof replacement: manufacturers, roofing contractors and dumpsters, among
others. The different parties offer warranties. Do you understand what that means? Let us focus on the
workmanship warranty. The workmanship warranty backs up your roofing contractor s work. This
warranty, together with the manufacturer s warranty, provides your roof with coverage if improper
installation causes any damage or defects. The workmanship warranty is a standard industry practice,
although that was not always the case. Caveats ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Experience, therefore, becomes a crucial factor when choosing roofing companies. The warranty is
only valid for as long as the contractor who issued it retains sole control over their service roof repair,
replacement, or installation. The roofing contractor that you choose to install a new roof on your
property should be competent and reputable. He should be able to complete the work in a professional
and timely manner. If you, the homeowner, and the roofing contractor had agreed on details like
installation, timelines, and had them written down, it is possible to predict the outcome in the event of
a dispute. You need to have all the details concerning the services to be performed by the contractor
and what you expect written down in a clear, precise way. Do not leave room for assumptions and

  • 2. AAA Credit Rating Environmentally friendly production of goods and services Environmentally friendly production is when natural resources are conserved and aren t exploited. The benefits to this type of production is lower costs (reduce, reuse, recycle), attract new customers as being environmentally friendly makes a business/country stand out from the rest, and there is improved sustainability. There are various methods to be applied to the production of goods and services in order for it to become more beneficial to the environment. We need to incorporate renewable energy for power and electricity through resources such as sunlight (solar panels), wind (turbines), rain (micro hydro systems), and geothermal heat (power plants) instead of using fossil fuels. ... Countries concerned about outsourcing can insist that foreign companies build local factories as part of the deal. They can require that these companies share technology and train local workers in the latest techniques. Following that, there is degradation of natural resources through deforestation and strip mining which reduce their jungles and fields to become wastelands. • 4. Challenges Faced By The World Today CONCLUSION Security is one of the major challenges that is being faced by the world today, as seen by continuous revelations about breaches and incidents. On this note of insecurity and unpredictability, banking industry is keen to redefine its approach to security thereby making an attempt to balance three critical factors i.e. cost, innovation and risk. On parallel grounds, the domain of internal security is undergoing drastic changes that mandates banking institutions to embrace new set of skills and practices. Fraud can be categorized as a business risk it is like a sword of Damocles over a bank s future. This must change for the good. The rapid pace with which the technology is changing, like the recent explosion of cellular customers, is often entailed by necessary evils. An unstoppable tsunami is engulfing banks with their employees and clients carrying their private electronic gadgets to work. Similarly, applicants for BYOD has surged and simultaneously it accelerates the rate of security threats, both ethically and technologically. Online banking proves to be the antithesis of all the innovations of security professionals due to their identifiable features such as their mobility, richness in data and susceptibility to theft. Threat modelling and vulnerability assessment offers new insights that facilitates a more pro active approach to security, provided organizations pay equal focus to the ever growing market of potential threats. The Serpent In Dante s Inferno The serpent that is illustrated in Genesis is a creature who represented Satan who then enticed Eve into eating out of the garden of Eden with the crafty words, You will not certainly die, the serpent said to the woman (Genesis, 3:4). The serpent in these works symbolizes evil and how the temptation of it the sin is difficult to escape after being committed. After discussing the serpent representing the difficulty of escaping it whether it is temptation or the impossible escape of the devil like serpent after committing the sin. The sin then becomes repetitive. Maybe due to the fact that it is pleasurable or easy. Dante uses the repetition of the sinner s torment symbolized the repetition of sin. In line 107, Dante relates the punishment cycle of the sinners to the phoenix with, The Phoenix dies to be reborn again (24.107). Dante uses a phoenix s life to relate to these sinners, which also symbolizes sin. Wes Anderson believes the phoenix had a different symbolism. Deal with life, Anderson said The Phoenix Symbolize new life in myth. In Hell, they re new death (1). His morality and revenge plays can be seen as historical records of kings who are legitimate or illegitimate to rule Britain. These plays represent the influence of Niccolo Machiavelli s The Prince on Shakespeare. Shakespeare s early plays explore the idea of a Machiavellian villain of Elizabethan drama. According to Charles Ross, the term Machiavellian is used to describe the actions of a political leader who ignores claims of conscience and instead justifies the ends by the means (317). The political leader is more concerned about his political expediency that is above morality and takes advantage of his authority and power. In the event of releasing any patient information it is important to make sure that all of your T s are crossed and your I s are dotted before the transaction is complete. However, because specialized patient records, such as Mental health or substance abuse cases, contain not only strictly medical information, but also therapeutic mental and emotional information, the release of this type of information could cause some damage to the patient (McWay, 2010, p. 227). • 11. Mongolia and its Stand on The Atomic Bomb, Disarment and... Mongolia was once the largest empire that mankind had ever known. Mongolia is located in central Asia between Siberia on the north and China on the south. The term Mongol came from the tribe of Genghis Khan, who instaured the biggest empire ever known to mankind. Mongolia had to choose between China and Russia, two powers that share borders with it. The Mongolian government chooses to adopt the communist ideology of Russia. During the 1960s, tension between Russia and china grew, with the soviet attempting to conduct preemptive nuclear strike at Chinese nuclear plants. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The author of Mongolia s Nuclear Weapon Free Status: Concept and Practice by T Enkhsaikhan, points out that article 4 of the two treaties signed with Russia and China stressed the importance of keeping Mongolia a zone free of nuclear weapons and military influences of its neighbors. The author mentions how Mongolia was a fervent supporter of disarmament in the article. Mongolia is part of the G28 Group, a coalition of nonnuclear developing states, which call nuclear weapons states to dismantle their total arsenals within a period of time. Another important remark is how the author mentions that Mongolia was one of the first to sign and ratify the NPT and the seventh country to ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The main reason why Mongolia is supporting the disarmament is mostly due to the tension that exists between China and Russia, two neighboring countries with nuclear weapons. By freeing its soil from nuclear armament, no countries should deploy nuclear weapons in its territories. By officially declaring Mongolia NWFZ, Mongolia has a better chance to transform its territory on a front war if Russia and China had to go war. III. The principle beliefs can be broken down into 5 points which are: The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus Christ, the Death and Resurrection of Christ, Nature of God and the Trinity, Revelation and Salvation. They believe that there is heaven and hell and people will be divided up in the end times. Protestants and Catholics have a similar belief about salvation. They both believe that they are saved by God s grace alone. However, the difference between Protestants and Catholics is how they respond to God s grace. His characters obscure trains of thought and remembrance constantly challenge the reader to keep up. I will argue that the depths of this obscurity are not, in fact, murky; they are a response to his introspection about the nature of thought, and reflect a coherent theory. Joyce often repeats phrases, and he makes such repetitions noticeable in order to direct the reader to the questions: What is thought? And what are the unconscious processes of the mind? His characters are unpredictable, experiencing truly surprising emotional reactions. This unexpectedness adds depth and verisimilitude to characterization; as in life, the strongest emotional experiences are ones ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When he makes the speech, the comparison between his aunts and the Three Graces pleases them very much. He decides that, since his speech has been so successful, it would be safer not to risk offense, and hastens to his close (139). The events of the story, and not so much Gabriel, are the reason he chooses to leave the quotation out. There is another factor that contributes to his willingness to drop the verses: he has already accomplished his aim of working in Browning, by spontaneously borrowing from his own review of the poet s recent work: But we are living in a skeptical and, if I may use the phrase, a thought tormented age (138). His original words were One feels that one is listened to a thought tormented music (130). Because the article is on Gabriel s mind (after his confrontation with Miss Ivors), the phrase thought tormented is there for him to use. The fact that he does preface it with if I may use the phrase suggests that he is aware of what he is doing. However, Gabriel makes two other crucial word choices that are unconscious but telling. They are apparent under a close reading, and even produce a vague feeling of familiarity under casual reading. There are different types of auction design used and according to revenue equivalence theory, no matter what auction design is used; expected revenue will be the same if bidders are risk neutral; each auction design is equally profitable. Sealed bid auctions requires bidders to submit their bid in a sealed envelope without the knowledge of other participants bids. Whereas ascending/descending auctions price and allocation are determined in an open competition among the bidders. Eventually, neither Roche nor Zeneca actually entered the bidding, and Wellcome was sold at the original bid of 9 billion pounds, literally a billion or two less than its shareholders might have received. In an ascending auction, there is a strong presumption that the firm, which values winning the most, will be the eventual winner, because even if it is outbid at an early stage, it can eventually top any opposition. As a result, other firms have little incentive to enter the bidding, and In ascending and sealed bid auctions, there is the risk of the winners curse which may weaken biddings in auctions. Winners curse occurs when the winner of the good bids significantly higher than the true value of the good, which in turn causes them to be worse off. It s understood that the smaller/weaker firms to the industry have to be epically cautious, as they are only likely to win when they have overestimated the value by even more than usual. The advantage bidder can be less cautious, since beating very cautious opponents does not imply they have overestimated the value. Hence, the advantaged bidder most likely wins generally paying a low price(Klemperer,1998). This is evident in the case of the auction for Premier Leauge TV between Sky, BT and ITV. BT won the bid of £900 million, three year deal giving exclusive rights to all European club football away from Sky and ITV, paying well over the odds. Whereas Sky was thought ... • 16. Essay On Second Life By Nik Hale The documentary, Life 2.0, is about the online platform, Second Life. The name of the world is pretty self explanatory; it allows users to create an avatar and do any of the things that are possible in the real world; only this is virtual. Mike Hale from the New York Times reviewed this documentary, writing both good and bad things about it. Rik Panganiban, also known as rikomatic on his blog and other online forums, saw Life 2.0 and was not a fan. Both reviewers talk about the main focus of the documentary, as well as how the characters are depicted, and why. Both reviewers point out that the film focuses on the negative aspects of Second Life and how the users are affected, generalizing all of the forum s users. While Hale would have liked the documentary to focus less on the drama in these peoples lives and more on the way that Second Life functions, Panganiban is disappointed that it failed to show how the platform allows users to express and explore themselves. ... • 17. The Resurrection Research Paper It s not enough that the tomb is empty. It s not enough to proclaim, Christ is risen! It s not enough to believe in the resurrection. At some point we must move from the event of the resurrection to experiencing the resurrection. Experiencing resurrected life begins with recognizing the risen Christ among us. That is the gift of Easter and it is also the difficulty and challenge described in today s gospel. The Gospel authors (especially Luke and John) go to great lengths to show that there s something different about the resurrected Christ. Something so different that Mary Magdalene doesn t recognize Jesus, and in fact mistakes him for the gardener, on Easter morning. And then the disciples on the road to Emmaus talk about Jesus all afternoon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Gospels don t tell us what exactly was different about Jesus. Just that he is unrecognizable. Until Jesus calls Mary by name, or until he breaks bread with the disciples. Then they came to know that he is Jesus. Very quietly, gently, the evangelists communicate something very important to us: something happens in the resurrection which makes Jesus new. They are coy about the details. But, we don t need the details to know that something is going on here. But, one of the other things that the Gospel authors are also clearly intent on showing us, is that it s really Jesus who rose from the dead. It s not a ghost. Not a spirit. Not a vision. Not a hallucination. You can t reach out and touch a hallucination. Visions don t eat broiled fish. That new reality begins with touching and seeing, flesh and bones, hands and feet, and broiled fish. Jesus said to his disciples, Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I myself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. Then he showed them his hands and his feet. After this he ate a piece of broiled fish in their presence. • 19. Reflection In The Poetry Of Emily Dickinson sRoom From another perspective. Sometimes lost, deep in thoughts, tough emotions and feelings. Sometimes looking, staring but again not watching something. Sometimes imaging big dreams, big things distracted in soul visions but never finding anything in reality. Surrounded by same objects, life, people, big roads, big decisions, choices. We, the people we are unique, we are a mosaic with rare, colorful pieces. The way we live the life, enjoy the world, see the things makes us who we are. In dark or light, confident or not, walking or halting. Under the sun s beam, warm and relieved; under the cold moon and shining stars that fill the black, mysterious, endless sky, thinking in sadness. Often in reality; rarely in our mind. Every time contemplating the miracles of the nature. Enjoying the infinite universe with just two finite eyes just enough. Every creature that can see has a power. And all creatures have another one called the art of seeing vision. Can we do without the windows of soul eyes? Can we live with feelings and vision? This question can have thousands of questions full of emotions. A diversity of thoughts for a theme that raises contradictions. I think no, you think maybe but what does Dickinson think? What does the blind poet that feels the world from her room thinks? Some critics have used her life to try to explain her poetry, and others have tried to explain her life by referring to her poems, which they assume are autobiographical. Emily Dickinson is a passionate poet that expresses herself without barriers. With a diamond hard language that reflects light to the dark and hope, inspiration till the last moment. Emily Dickinson s poetry speaks powerfully to us. It captures her insights and recreates meaningful events in living; it helps us to understand and even to re live our own experiences through her intensity and with her emotional and intellectual clarity. In a world perceived under constant surveillance much like the dystopian setting of George Orwell s 1984 novel, it is expected to view the practices that Malcolm Gladwell introduced in his article, The Science of Shopping, as frightening. However, the main intentions of these remarkable tactics are greatly misunderstood and Gladwell does an excellent job of clearing up many misconceptions around this topic. For instance, he introduces Paco Underhill, a self proclaimed urban geographer who is a professional in the field of retail planning and posses a lengthy list of credentials. He also identifies and illustrates the concepts of decompression zone, invariant right, petting, butt brush theory in his article and breaks down their purposes because there is a precise science in how the average consumer shops and specialists have decoded these behaviors. Unfortunately, a large portion of the population is petrified of Underhill s capabilities and these psychological techniques that markets use to lure potential consumers. Although this is a typical reaction considering the state of society as of today, Gladwell correctly clarifies these misinterpretations all throughout his article. Competition Policy On Two Sided 1 Competition policy on two sided markets: literature review On a TSM, an intermediary platform provides services allowing two sides of users to interact with each other. For example, an online market serves sellers on one side and buyers on the other side. An integral part of every TSM is externality between two sides: buyers benefit from a greater number of sellers and products proposed on the platform, sellers benefit from a greater number of potential buyers who use the platform. The utility obtained by each side depends on the number of users on the other side and vice versa. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The theory of two sided markets was partially based on and is related to the theory of intermediation and of multi product firms. A TSM model is close to the model of a multi production: two products are represented by two services to side 1 and to side 2 with interconnected demands. The profit function of a two sided platform could describe behavior of a multi product monopoly, given that both models are characterized by nonzero cross elasticities. But the mechanisms of demand interdependence are different. In case of two linked products, demand on one good depends directly on the price of the other complement or substitute good, and this price interdependence is internalized by one consumer who wants to use both goods. On multisided markets, demand on one good doesn t depend directly on the price of another good, but on the level of its consumption. Positive externalities between two sides imply negative cross elasticities. The well known result is that multi product monopolist s price in the case of negative price elasticities (product complementarity) is lower. By analogous reasoning, under two sided positive externalities prices on both sides are lower, and the number of consumers on both sides is higher than without externalities.
