As I leave for Oregon I enter the Kahului airport, a fairly familiar site as I ve been here a number of
times for various reasons. Once inside I head to my destination, which isn t too hard to find. The
airport is sparsely populated with people awaiting their flights. On the way to my gate I come across a
hot dog stand selling overpriced hot dogs. With nothing else to eat I bought one for myself and one for
each of my brothers. Aside from each bite being a mouthful of onions, it was decent enough. Maybe
he d make more of a profit if he halved the amount of onions he used on each hotdog. I sit at one of
the seats that line the aisles to eat my overpriced food. Beside me my brothers sit and eat their own

It was about 10:20am and as expected, there wasn t a line though I did see one person get something
but that was it. From the outside the store looked clean and well maintained. I couldn t go inside the

Sheryl the CSR was in the back probably preparing for the day but once she was done she greeted me

Food is an important necessity which gives our bodies the nutrients it needs to function properly. It is
a great way of breaking bread with people of various social backgrounds and developing a stronger
connection amongst one another. This allows for differences to be put aside and bring people closer
together. The types of produce we consume is important, rather we buy our foods locally or from the
supermarket. Consumers who purchase produce from local farms are known as locavores. Buying
produce locally may have a positive impact on the local community; however, it could have a negative
toll on the overall factors such as the economy, natural resource endowments, and transportation,
potentially leading to a global disaster.

Specific crops are meant to be grown in certain regions, if attempting to grow an outside crop from its
originated region, it would be costly to grow and maintain the crops due to an increase in natural
resources such as fertilizer and acres of land. This would increase the price of produce, making it quite
expensive (Sexton, 2011, p. 3). For example, California grows the majority of the produce such as
strawberries. Unlike the state of Utah, California would not need as much acres of land to be able to
grow strawberries and it would cost less to do so. Compared to most states, California is capable of
making the most of its resources efficiently due to its geography. By having local farms producing
outside crops, it would only sacrifice the advantages California and other states have in producing
particular crops (Meyers, Sexton, 2011, p.1). With the prices of produce increasing due to the increase
in natural resources, this makes it a burden on poor consumers who won t be able to purchase produce
locally and have to go to a supermarket which best fits their means. Decreasing the distances which it
takes for produce to travel from farm to fork (Meyers, Sexton, 2015, p.1) helps to reduce fuel and save
the environment. However, transportation only takes up a total of 10% or less of the energy used to

Robert Smithson s Spiral Jetty
In 1970, Robert Smithson created the Spiral Jetty with dump trucks, front loaders, and a tractor to
move the basalt stones and sand. The Spiral Jetty is located near the Great Salt Lake of Utah.
Smithson created this piece so that the land and the water could meet. This artwork is supposed to
change over time in response to the environment. Robert Smithson represents the idea of entropy in
the Spiral Jetty. Therefore, this landscape looks different than whenever it was first established. The
Spiral Jetty is located at a terminal basin, which is a freshwater place with no outlet. Whenever it is
done flowing it will evaporate. So the water is dense with minerals causing the high amount of basalt

The overall goal of this paper is to see how epigenomic programming is established and maintained
through behavioral programming, and whether or not it s modifiable or reversible later in life
(specifically adult, post mitotic tissues). The authors hypothesis is that maternal care such as pup
licking and grooming (LG) as well as arched back nursing (ABN) can affect DNA methylation of the
GR promotor region, exon 1 base 7 promoter, and that these effects can be sustained throughout
adulthood while being associated with differences in hippocampus glucocorticoid receptor (GR)
expression and Hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis (HPA) reactions to stress. The independent
variable in this experiment is the Trichostatin A (TSA) injection/infusion. Trichostatin A is a Histone

Analysis Of The Longest Day
As World War II was ending, the film industry saw a surge in the production of combat films depicting
what unfolded in the war. These films usually displayed the fighting as either patriotic or anti war.
However, some movies were produced which took a more neutral stance on the violence and focused
more on historical accuracy. In The Longest Day, directed by Darryl F. Zanuck, the Allies plan and
execute landings on several beaches in France such as Normandy to enter the European theater at the
start of the second World War. It also shows the events of D Day from everyone s point of view, even
including Nazi Germany and the French Resistance. The Longest Day asserted itself as an extremely
successful film because of the more neutral approach it took on the fighting, the historical accuracy it
possessed, and it s depiction of ethnic relations. Unlike most films at the time, The Longest Day did
not strongly take a pro war or anti war stance. Instead it had more of an uncommitted theme which
was centered around the correctness of the battles of the war. Nevertheless, there are some occasional
scenes showing valor and bravery, such as the scene at Utah beach where soldiers charge. I believe
Zanuck chose to make the film equitable instead of a patriotic film or an anti war film because he truly
wanted to capture the battles and what he saw of the war. The allies aren t particularly shown as heroes
as much as in other movies and the German soldiers are shown as average, non evil

Each day, when the sun rises and sets, mammals and plants alike conform together with a celestial
rhythm that instructs the activities of the day. The human body, along with nearly all other mammals,
endogenously oscillates on a rhythm that coincides with these daily activities. However, when
mammals are placed in an environment void of nearly all outside influences, also known as zeitgebers,
these rhythms continue to run at specified intervals. Thus, the endogenous rhythm must be governed
by an internal master clock. This master clock has been discovered to be the suprachiasmatic nuclei
which are located in the anterior portion of the hypothalamus. Circadian rhythms are endogenous
rhythms that mammals and plants exhibit. The term circadian was established in the 1950 s and is
derived from the Latin prefix circa which means approximately, and dies which means day. (2) Nearly
all living things have circadian rhythms that approximate to a 24 hour cycle; however there are some
differences in lengths varying from species to species. (1) Numerous physiological processes are
governed by the circadian rhythm, and by effect nearly every process in the body can be contributed to
a rhythm of circadian fashion. The master clock of the circadian rhythm for biological processes is the
suprachiasmatic nuclei, or SCN. (1)(2) The SCN is located in the anterior portion of the

The concept of Jesus being fully man but also fully God at the same time has been debated amongst
scholars, both Christians and non Christians alike for centuries. The doctrine and study surrounding
the person of Jesus is known as Christology, and after extensive and often hostile debates the Church
gave a concluding definition of its Christology in 451 CE at the Council of Chalcedon. It was stated
that they affirmed the belief in Jesus Christ as one Person in two natures, which are united without
confusion. The early church was adamant that the Incarnation was one of the most important truths of
the Christian faith.
Maurice Wiles, an Oxford patristic scholar summarised the Chalcedons s aims as follows:

Very few diseases produce such a rash so differentiating between them from others is simple. Herpes
simplex virus (HSV) can produce such a rash but only occasionally. If there isn t a rash or it hasn t

The problem is that it takes time to produce. The too much money injected in the economy is chasing
outputs of lesser values. Thus, less valuable products are produced and then kept alive in the market
with this artificial government money. The values of our commodities are now unreal making them to
cost much less than they would have in the unhampered market process.
In Finland as well as well as other western states, most people that bought apartments with
government backed loans could not have afforded it if the governments were not giving home loan
interest tax deductions. Some profit calculations in the housing market investments are based on
negative cash flow deductions and 100% deduction of the investment expenses. These types of
investments would crash if we return to the unhampered market process, as the government will be
