Memi And Sambu Essay
Sculptures have been a part of human cultures for many centuries. They have been depictions of gods,
tell stories, honor spirits, and celebrations. Today many sculptures have helped tell the way of life and
history of prehistoric times. Sculptures can be described as the art of carving, modeling, welding, or
otherwise producing figurative or abstract works of art in three dimensions, as in relief, intaglio, or in
the round. (Dictionary.com, 2017)Two ancient sculptures include the Statue of Memi and Sabu and
Seated Statue of Gudea, which have unique physiognomies.
Statue of Memi and Sabu is an Egyptian sculpture, or probably from Memphite Region, Giza, Western
Cemetery, which dates back to the Old Kingdom, Dynasty 4, ca. 2575 2465 B.C. It is a painted
limestone statue, which evokes the closeness of Memi and his companion, Sabu, a non royal couple in
a standing position. On the base of the statue, one would see that it does include inscripted lettering
(The Met s Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History, 2017) It could be interpreted that Memi and Sabu are a
possible couple based on the intimate hug and his left hand on Sabu left breast. A non intimate couple
would not engage in such a dear embrace. The sculpture is reactively small, according to Metropolitan
Museum of Art, the dimensions are h. 62 cm (24.7/16 in); w. 24.5 cm (9 5/8 in); d. 15.2 cm ... Show

It dates back to ca. 2090 B.C in Neo Sumerian. (metro, 2017). The statue is made from a natural stone
material and has a bronze color. This statue is a representation of a hero of the Neo Sumerian culture.
This sculpture one could see that Gudea is in a seated position, with his hands holding one another,
almost in a meditated state. He also had inscriptions written on his garment, which read Gudea, the
man who built the temple; may his life be long. (The Met s Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History,

Descriptive Essay About Kahului Airport
As I leave for Oregon I enter the Kahului airport, a fairly familiar site as I ve been here a number of
times for various reasons. Once inside I head to my destination, which isn t too hard to find. The
airport is sparsely populated with people awaiting their flights. On the way to my gate I come across a
hot dog stand selling overpriced hot dogs. With nothing else to eat I bought one for myself and one for
each of my brothers. Aside from each bite being a mouthful of onions, it was decent enough. Maybe
he d make more of a profit if he halved the amount of onions he used on each hotdog. I sit at one of
the seats that line the aisles to eat my overpriced food. Beside me my brothers sit and eat their own
hotdogs, the seats across the aisle remain empty much like most of the airport. The time comes to
board the plane, the small space is filled and we take off shortly after. Looking out the window all you
can see is the dark of night and the lights coming from the island. With a long flight ahead, I do my
best to rest while I can. Following a six hour flight from Maui I arrive in San Francisco. I step off the
plane and am greeted by a sea of people and an airport much larger than the one in Kahului. The much
more calm feeling of the island is replaced by the hustle and bustle of the much larger city, quite
honestly it s a tad strange. There was not a moment s rest for these people as they hurried along from
one gate to the next. There s no order in the way people walk, sometimes

Total Recall essay (PHIL 1003)
Fact or Fiction?
Total Recall Paper
PHIL 2003 013
Usually at least once in a lifetime a person will question whether a dream was reality or not. It is rare
to think I am just dreaming in a dream. In the 1990s movie Total Recall the director, Paul Verhoeven,
attempts to illustrate the puzzling question of what is reality and what is not? With Arnold
Schwarzenegger in this futuristic flick, the director cleverly confuses the audience about what is real
in the movie, making one doubt each previous scene. Total Recall begins with the main character,
Douglas Quaid, on a mission to decipher a reoccurring dream that takes place in Mars. His curiosity
and frustrations take him to ReKall Inc. who has a specialty in a very ... Show more content on

His belief in God even affected his theories on reality. One of his theories was that he was being
deceived by a conniving and mischievous demon that was hell bent on distorting his reality. The
demon could be comparable to the evil dictator and the memory replacing machine in Total Recall.
Despite the evil demon, Descartes did manage to reveal one very true thing and that is that he must
exist if he truly is being deceived by the evil demon because he needs to exist in order to be deceived.
He later summarizes this into his famous phrase I think, therefore, I am. (Descartes 136). The second
philosopher that analyses the problem of what is reality and what is not in the Introduction to
Philosophy textbook is Christopher Grau. Grau, in his essay, expands on Descartes idea of the evil
demon by basing it off of The Matrix with his theory, The Brain in a Vat Theory. The theory is just like
it sounds. Just like in Total Recall, an extremely intelligent device has the ability to give humans and
gives them a false reality of a life. What Grau is purposing is that we, as people, could quite possibly
be hooked up to a super computer and given false memories and experiences as well. In conclusion,
Total Recall is a

History of Internet Essay examples
Without a doubt, the Internet is undergoing a major transition as it experiences a tremendous influx of
new users. Due to the anarchic, distributed nature of the net, we cannot even begin to enumerate the
population of the Internet or its growth. As more of the world s population moves on line, new
concerns will arise which did not confront the earlier generations. The new culture will demand
different resources, services and technology than the old generations expected and used. Already we
can witness a clash between the emergent culture and the entrenched culture. The largest conflicts
occurring now are about sharing resources, the impending commercialization of the net, and the
growing problem of computer crime.
The Internet was born ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is only in the past year or two that we have begun to see the explosion of the new generation on the
Internet. Businesses have begun connecting themselves to the net, especially with the prospect of the
NSFNET backbone changing hands to permit commercial traffic. Public access nets run by
communities or businesses are springing up in cities all over the world, bringing in users who know
little about computers and are more interested in the entertainment and information they can glean
from the net.
Commercial providers like America Online and Compuserve are beginning to open gateways from
their exclusive services to the open Internet, specifically allowing their users to access email, netnews
and soon ftp and telnet services. The explosion of BBSs and the shared Fidonet software has brought
many users who were previously unable to get an account through a university to the world of email
and netnews. At this point, anyone with a computer and a modem can access these most basic
services. Several state s, such as Maryland, have begun efforts to connect all their residents to the net,
often through their library system. The city of Cambridge,
MA now offers access to the world wide web for short segments of time in its public libraries, and
even several progressive coffeehouses in the San Francisco Bay area and soon in the Boston area are
offering public net access.

Why Companies Should Pay Attention On Technology And Talent
One of the most significant part of business is a supply chain and today it is far more complex than
ever before. According to Mack and Media (2013), The most effective supply chains deliver products
as fast and as cheaply as possible without sacrificing quality . In order to succeed in doing so, it is
strongly believed that companies should pay attention to technology and talent. What is supply chain?
Cottrill (2010) notes that People often think it is only about moving boxes, something to do with
transport and logistics; it almost gets narrowed down to the warehousing and delivery piece . In
reality, supply chain does not only focus on moving products from one place to another places. It
involves every stages from the beginning that customers want to buy products until they pay and
become satisfied with goods. Manufacturer and suppliers, customers, retailers, warehouses and
transporters are all parts of the supply chain (Chopra et al., 2004). Due to globalization and market
uncertainties, there is a changing competitive environment in doing business. I believe that a supply
chain can keep on improving in such condition by implementing The Triple A Supply Chain strategy
which is agile, adaptable and aligned. The term agile refers to an ability to quickly respond to
unexpected changes for instance natural disasters and epidemics. Adaptable can be defined as an
ability to adjust oneself to deal with problems such as political changes and demographic trends in

Dolicoectasia Case Study
Our patient presented with a history much typically suggestive of trigeminal neuralgia. Dental
extractions are sometimes considered as the trigger factor for the same. Patient also did not have any
neurological deficits including sensory loss over trigeminal nerve distribution making trigeminal
neuralgia a strong clinical possibility. Trigeminal nerve is defined as per The International
Classification of Headache disorders (ICHD 3), which defines it as brief episodes of sharp, stabbing
pain, in the region supplied by the trigeminal nerve along with supportive diagnostic criteria as three
or more attacks of pain on one side of the face; solely in trigeminal nerve dermatomal distribution; of
severe intensity, referred as electric shock like sensation and recurring as paroxysmal attacks i.e.,
lasting for a fraction of a second to a few minutes. The term dolicoectasia literally means and
elongated, dilated and tortuous artery. According to a study that focused on imaging studies of the
vertebrobasilar artery in order to determine the clinical effects of dolicoectasia, determined that the
basilar artery was considered elongated if at any point, it was lateral to the margin of either the clivus

Habeas Corpus and the Use of Military Tribunals
In America Under the Threat of Terrorism
Introduction
It was on this date one hundred forty two years ago (April 25, 1861), that President Abraham Lincoln
sent a letter to Lt. General Winfield Scott authorizing the suspension of The Privilege of the Writ of
Habeas Corpus . Lincoln had been president for less than two months and was facing, what was up to
that time and arguably may still be the greatest threat to the survival of the United States since the
Founding Fathers launched this Great Experiment . Only eleven days earlier Major Robert Anderson,
the commander of the federal garrison at Fort Sumter, South Carolina, had to surrender the fort to the

With the recent war on terrorism our government has moved to curtail and, in some cases, to deny
United States citizens their constitutional rights to due process. The delicate balance between the
fundamental right to the due process of law and national security is the focus of this research paper
and is structured as follows:

Introduction to Habeas Corpus
Habeas corpus [Law Latin that you have the body ] A writ employed to bring a person before a court
to ensure the party s imprisonment or detention is not illegal. Meant to ensure that a prisoner is
accorded due process of law, it does not determine guilt or innocence.
Responding to abusive detention of persons without legal authority, public pressure on caused the
English Parliament to adopt the Habeas Corpus Act, 1679. This fundamental right against illegal
imprisonment was highly regarded by the British colonists in America as a safeguard of that it was

Many Catholics Practice The Ten Commandments
Many Catholics practice the Ten Commandments. Which are I am the LORD your God, you shall
worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve, you shall not take the name of the Lord
your God in vain, remember to keep holy the Sabbath day, honor your father and your mother, you
shall not kill, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness
against your neighbor, you shall not covet your neighbor s wife, and you shall not covet your neighbor
s goods. The 10th commandment You shall not covet your neighbor s goods forbids the wanting to or
taking of someone else s property along with the 7th commandment. The 7th commandment
condemns theft and the feelings of envy, greed, and jealousy in reaction to what other people have.
Catholicism was one of the principal religions during this time period, therefore they should have
executed these 10 commands. Nowadays, we have modernized banks many in trust their money in.
The banks lends money to customers at a higher rate than they pay to depositors or than they borrow
it. The difference, known as the margin is kept by the bank. For example, if a bank pays 1% interest
on deposits they may charge 6% interest on loans grossing 5% for themselves. Moreover, bank
employees from Wells Fargo secretly opened unauthorized accounts to hit sales targets and receive
bonuses. Not only is this identity theft, however, it shines even more light on how the love of money is
the root of all evil. Lastly, banks

Songlyrics In The Figurative Language In Literature
Figurative language in the world of literature is language that uses words or expressions with a deep
meaning that is different from the normal meaning of words and expressions. In the world of literature
many writers and poets use figurative language to grab their audience attention. Figurative language is
very common in poetry, lyrics, nonfiction writing and prose pieces. In this particular essay I would be
discussing and analyzing different songlyrics that contain figures of speech and how effective these
different figures of speech make the songs popular. In the figurative language we have different
figures of speech. A figure of speech is a word or phrase that has different meaning than the actual
meaning is a way writers used to exaggerate feelings and emotions. There are several figures of
speech such as a hyperbole, personification, metaphor, simile and onomatopoeia. Each of these figures
of speech all have different functions they play in the world of writing. Figures of speech are not used
to exaggerate language, but to also cause a moment of excitement and intensity when reading. The
majority of these figures of speech provide the writing with a more concise and clarifications of what
the author, singer, writer or poet is trying to share with their particular audience. For instance, let s
take a look at several songs that contain figures of speech. For example in the song Mean by Taylor
Swift is singing about how someone s words could be painful and

The Chaser, By John Collier
John Collier s The Chaser , a short story that follows Alan Austen, a character who shows typically
feminine or androgynous traits, displaying Alan being timid, easily manipulated, cowardly, and
inevitably, the harbinger of his own destruction. The Chaser features Alan seeking out an old man for
a love potion to make Diana fall in love with him. From a sophisticated gender perspective, the Chaser
is shown to be patriarchal to start, with androgynous areas that end with the story being heavily
androgynous. Based on text in the story and underlying themes, The Chaser is Feminine and
Androgynous, and Austen displays Feminine androgynous traits heavily by the end of the story.

someone will come to buy the poison, whether it be Diana to kill Alan, or Alan to rid himself of the

Theme Of Social Class In To Kill A Mockingbird
Outside the town limits, across the old sawmill tracks, lies a building with old paint crumbling off the
sides and a cemetery lying right beside it. The brick hard clay covered the land underneath both the
churchyard and the cemetery. There lied crumbling tombstones and some new ones as well. Each one
having an assortment of shattered coca cola bottles, colorful glass, and dozens upon dozens of burnt
out candles surrounding them. This was a happy place. The sweet aroma of Negro blossomed in the
air, curating a scent of peppermint, snuff, and sweet lilac. It felt welcoming and homely. During the
mid 1920s, in the darling town of Maycomb, Alabama, not all people had such a humbleness to them.
Many people were not treated with the same respect and kindness as others, as shown in the novel, To
Kill A Mockingbird. Throughout the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, shows concerns
about social class and how it affects everyone around them. Being different during the mid 1930s was
excruciating, even though they were factors that can t be controlled, and Lee wanted to make a point
about that.
In the beginning, while the main character Scout Finch is going to class with her new teacher Miss
Caroline whom is new to town and doesn t know very much about the people, social class is a very
prominent theme. First off, while Scout was going to school she met a boy from the Cunningham
tribe. The Cunningham tribe was very poor and worked off the land for all that they had. As Scout

Analysis Of Stairway To Heaven
No matter how many times somebody is asked to give an explanation to what the song Stairway to
Heaven really perseveres, different answers will be given every time. The song Stairway to Heaven
was written by Led Zeppelin in 1971. Throughout all these years, still everybody has their own
interpretation to the song, and they will respond differently based upon what the true meaning of the
song really is. The reason being is, the song represents many different values throughout it, and it is
the others choice to determine the outlook on it.
In 1980, Led Zeppelin could have had the biggest tour in the history of rock and roll. Although, this
never happened because one of the members, Rob Plant, refused to be a part of it. He rejected to
reunite with the rest of the group because he believed that no amount of money is worth having to sing
Stairway to Heaven. To begin with, when asked about Rob Plant s interpretation of the song, he
responded with I still interpret the song a different way and I wrote the lyrics. In addition, he believed
that the lyrics took some rough shots. In the beginning of it, he claims that it is meant towards a
woman who strives for money, only to find out the unpleasant way that is going to be keeping her
from reaching her stairway to heaven. Rob Plant had no other reason for stating what his meaning was
towards writing the song, but he did note that he saw it as a woman getting everything she wanted
without giving anything back. According to an

Indentured Servants During Early Colonial Times
Indentured Servants Indentured servants were used in early colonial times as a means of passage to the
new world. The cash crops of the early settlers were exhaustingly labor intensive. In fact, U.S. History
(2015) indicated that the growth of tobacco, rice, and indigo and the plantation economy created a
tremendous need for labor in Southern English America (p. 1). The technology did not exist at the
time for machinery that clears the ground and works the land as it does today. The work had to be
done by hand; from clearing and prepping the fields to harvesting the crops, it was all manual labor for
which the new land did not have ample supply of. Coming to the New World Life in England during
the early 1600 s was harsh for a multitude of the poor. The country was just coming out of the Thirties
Year s War with a flood of citizens and laborers displaced. In fact, PBS (2015) indicated that the
timing of the Virginia colony was ideal. The Thirty Year s War had left Europe s economy depressed,
and many skilled and unskilled laborers were without work. A new life in the New World offered a
glimmer of hope; this explains how one half to two thirds of the immigrants who came to the
American colonies arrived as indentured servants (para. 3). This opportunity for those willing to
receive free passage to the New World and start a new life was enticing. Granted, the work was
difficult it was not without reward. The majority of these servants that survived the trip and his

The Negative Effects Of Local Farms
Food is an important necessity which gives our bodies the nutrients it needs to function properly. It is
a great way of breaking bread with people of various social backgrounds and developing a stronger
connection amongst one another. This allows for differences to be put aside and bring people closer
together. The types of produce we consume is important, rather we buy our foods locally or from the
supermarket. Consumers who purchase produce from local farms are known as locavores. Buying
produce locally may have a positive impact on the local community; however, it could have a negative
toll on the overall factors such as the economy, natural resource endowments, and transportation,
potentially leading to a global disaster.
Local farms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Specific crops are meant to be grown in certain regions, if attempting to grow an outside crop from its
originated region, it would be costly to grow and maintain the crops due to an increase in natural
resources such as fertilizer and acres of land. This would increase the price of produce, making it quite
expensive (Sexton, 2011, p. 3). For example, California grows the majority of the produce such as
strawberries. Unlike the state of Utah, California would not need as much acres of land to be able to
grow strawberries and it would cost less to do so. Compared to most states, California is capable of
making the most of its resources efficiently due to its geography. By having local farms producing
outside crops, it would only sacrifice the advantages California and other states have in producing
particular crops (Meyers, Sexton, 2011, p.1). With the prices of produce increasing due to the increase
in natural resources, this makes it a burden on poor consumers who won t be able to purchase produce
locally and have to go to a supermarket which best fits their means. Decreasing the distances which it
takes for produce to travel from farm to fork (Meyers, Sexton, 2015, p.1) helps to reduce fuel and save
the environment. However, transportation only takes up a total of 10% or less of the energy used to
bring goods to market (Meyers, Sexton, 2015, p.1). This does not consist of

Robert Smithson s Spiral Jetty
In 1970, Robert Smithson created the Spiral Jetty with dump trucks, front loaders, and a tractor to
move the basalt stones and sand. The Spiral Jetty is located near the Great Salt Lake of Utah.
Smithson created this piece so that the land and the water could meet. This artwork is supposed to
change over time in response to the environment. Robert Smithson represents the idea of entropy in
the Spiral Jetty. Therefore, this landscape looks different than whenever it was first established. The
Spiral Jetty is located at a terminal basin, which is a freshwater place with no outlet. Whenever it is
done flowing it will evaporate. So the water is dense with minerals causing the high amount of basalt
and sand. For this reason, not many plants

Hippocampus Glucocorticoid Receptor (HPA)
The overall goal of this paper is to see how epigenomic programming is established and maintained
through behavioral programming, and whether or not it s modifiable or reversible later in life
(specifically adult, post mitotic tissues). The authors hypothesis is that maternal care such as pup
licking and grooming (LG) as well as arched back nursing (ABN) can affect DNA methylation of the
GR promotor region, exon 1 base 7 promoter, and that these effects can be sustained throughout
adulthood while being associated with differences in hippocampus glucocorticoid receptor (GR)
expression and Hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis (HPA) reactions to stress. The independent
variable in this experiment is the Trichostatin A (TSA) injection/infusion. Trichostatin A is a Histone
Deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. It is made up of chemical compounds that interfere with gene
expression by removing the acetyl groups from the histones.
Starting with figure 1, the major question that the figure is attempting to answer is how LG ABN
maternal care affects cytosine methylation of the GR promotor and how CpG methylation in the GR
promotor region, exon 1 base 7 promoter differ between high and low LG ABN (maternal care)
groups. It is trying to figure out whether there is a causal relationship between LG ABN and DNA
methylation of the pups and whether or not timing of maternal care/age of the pups have anything to
do with the different levels of DNA methylation. There are both positive and negative control groups
for figure 1. The positive control is the group of offspring that received low amount of LG ABN from
their mothers and show high amounts of C methylation. The negative control is the group of offspring

Attachments In Relationships
Many people think that attachment is something that only toddlers experience. But, after the research I
did and asking people specific questions, I saw that even adults display different types of attachments
in relationships. Four different forms of attachment were developed because of the strange situation
experiment. Those being: secure attachment, insecure avoidant, insecure resistant and disoriented
disorganized. I wanted to see if I could specifically place an adult into one of these categories by
forming a rating scale based on a couple of statements that were related to each type of attachment. I
asked two people that are very close to me to take the survey I developed: My boyfriend Nick, and a
co worker Donna. So, each of the statements

Stereotypes In Professional Sports
Ask any sports fan what is your favorite day and they would most likely respond that it s game day.
Sports fans show team spirit for their sports teams by wearing their colors, singing chants about them
or most commonly shouting their team names to pick at fans of other teams and rivals. If your favorite
sports team s name is influenced by Native Americans then you may not want to shout that to anyone.
The teams that are named after Native Americans are under fire, especially if you are a Washington
Redskins fan. The Redskins are a team that is getting fire from the public for having a derogatory
nickname representing Native Americans. Some people argue that it is offensive for the team from our
nation s capital to have the name Redskins because it s disrespectful to a race of people. There are
other sports teams that have a Native American name but they are getting less attention, but it is not
right to change just one name, you have to change the names of the other teams to eliminate the
problem entirely.
The NCAA objects to institutions using racial/ethnic/national origin references in their intercollegiate
athletics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Specifically, these stereotypes affect how Native youth view the world and their place in society, while
also affecting how society views Native people (NACI 2013). Team logos and the chants and the way
Native Americans team fans cheer for their team is in a barbaric way. For example the Atlanta Braves
fans do the Tomahawk Chop It is a stereotype because the fans think that s how Indians behaved.
When you go to a sports game where fans are doing something that is a stereotype for a certain race or
group of people, don t join in but instead think about what it actually means. Stereotypes have a big
impact on Native youths and it is affecting how society views Native

Cultural Anthropology
Feminist Approach to the American Society
One theoretical approach in the field of cultural anthropology is the Feminist Approach. The feminist
approach is an approach that helped females from all diverse cultures to band together for equal rights
or more freedom for themselves. A feminist theory can be described as an approach to move towards
empowering women worldwide. Feminism has been a problem in any culture from any time in history,
and feminist worldwide are all banding together for one reason: to become independent and highly
powered women. The main goals of feminism are to discuss the importance of women, break the
gender inequality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the later centuries in school girls were depicted to be in home economic classes to learn how to be a
homemaker, whereas boys were sought out to be in math and science classes. As the centuries
progressed society has changed immensely in how men have treated their women and how women
have overcome their typical roles in society. People have always had the impression that society is
driven by males. One big feministic move that women fought for was the right to be able to vote.
Women had never been able to vote because it was thought that men should only have the right to
choose who would be serving us locally and nationally. Liberal feminists thought that this idea was
unfair and that both genders should be able to vote, so they fought for the right for some women to
vote in 1918 and then in 1928 their appeal was approved and all women got the right to be able to
vote.
Another area that feminists fought to change was the view of women in the workplace. Many career
areas have always been depicted as a men only career such as Political, law enforcement, military and
construction. Feminist have taken the challenge to prove that this is a gender equal nation where
women are able to do the same amount of work that men can do if not better than men. In the earlier
centuries when it came to serving in the military you would never find a women serving because they
were known to be very weak and physically unfit to serve in the

Analysis Of The Longest Day
As World War II was ending, the film industry saw a surge in the production of combat films depicting
what unfolded in the war. These films usually displayed the fighting as either patriotic or anti war.
However, some movies were produced which took a more neutral stance on the violence and focused
more on historical accuracy. In The Longest Day, directed by Darryl F. Zanuck, the Allies plan and
execute landings on several beaches in France such as Normandy to enter the European theater at the
start of the second World War. It also shows the events of D Day from everyone s point of view, even
including Nazi Germany and the French Resistance. The Longest Day asserted itself as an extremely
successful film because of the more neutral approach it took on the fighting, the historical accuracy it
possessed, and it s depiction of ethnic relations. Unlike most films at the time, The Longest Day did
not strongly take a pro war or anti war stance. Instead it had more of an uncommitted theme which
was centered around the correctness of the battles of the war. Nevertheless, there are some occasional
scenes showing valor and bravery, such as the scene at Utah beach where soldiers charge. I believe
Zanuck chose to make the film equitable instead of a patriotic film or an anti war film because he truly
wanted to capture the battles and what he saw of the war. The allies aren t particularly shown as heroes
as much as in other movies and the German soldiers are shown as average, non evil

The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 was amended in August 2011. It presented the implements of
existing types of forbidden online gambling, and also checked the ability to eliminate harms that
online gambling could bring to consumers.
Economic The Australian gambling market is remarkable in the world s gambling industry. It has
already been mature and showed a very strong growing momentum with 2.9% annually over the last
five years, and it was predicted that the growth rate would be constant in a medium term period.
(Sudarsanam, 2011)There are four categories of gambling activities. Gaming is the largest type with
the annual turnover over $10.2b, and other three types are Casino, wagering and lotteries, and the
annual turnover was $3.2b, $2.6b and $2.1b respectively. (Sudarsanam, 2011)
Social Although gambling industry can bring more employment opportunities and offer diversified
leisure activities for the public, it could also lead harms. Problem Gambling is the main disadvantage
that gambling produced, it may result in an increasing number of personal bankruptcy, suicide, crime
and child welfare may be ignored and so on (Williams, Rehm Stevens, 2011). Hence, the Australian
Gaming Council formulated the Responsible Gaming regulation to conduct the gambling industry in
Australia and reduce the existing and potential harms.

The Circadian Rhythms
Each day, when the sun rises and sets, mammals and plants alike conform together with a celestial
rhythm that instructs the activities of the day. The human body, along with nearly all other mammals,
endogenously oscillates on a rhythm that coincides with these daily activities. However, when
mammals are placed in an environment void of nearly all outside influences, also known as zeitgebers,
these rhythms continue to run at specified intervals. Thus, the endogenous rhythm must be governed
by an internal master clock. This master clock has been discovered to be the suprachiasmatic nuclei
which are located in the anterior portion of the hypothalamus. Circadian rhythms are endogenous
rhythms that mammals and plants exhibit. The term circadian was established in the 1950 s and is
derived from the Latin prefix circa which means approximately, and dies which means day. (2) Nearly
all living things have circadian rhythms that approximate to a 24 hour cycle; however there are some
differences in lengths varying from species to species. (1) Numerous physiological processes are
governed by the circadian rhythm, and by effect nearly every process in the body can be contributed to
a rhythm of circadian fashion. The master clock of the circadian rhythm for biological processes is the
suprachiasmatic nuclei, or SCN. (1)(2) The SCN is located in the anterior portion of the
hypothalamus, posterior to and slightly inferior to the frontal lobe of the brain. The SCN is believed

The Concept Of Jesus Being Fully Man
Introduction
The concept of Jesus being fully man but also fully God at the same time has been debated amongst
scholars, both Christians and non Christians alike for centuries. The doctrine and study surrounding
the person of Jesus is known as Christology, and after extensive and often hostile debates the Church
gave a concluding definition of its Christology in 451 CE at the Council of Chalcedon. It was stated
that they affirmed the belief in Jesus Christ as one Person in two natures, which are united without
confusion. The early church was adamant that the Incarnation was one of the most important truths of
the Christian faith.
Maurice Wiles, an Oxford patristic scholar summarised the Chalcedons s aims as follows:
On the other hand was the conviction that a saviour must be fully divine; on the other hand was the
conviction that what is not assumed is not healed. Or, to put the matter in other words, the source of
salvation must be God; the locus of salvation must be humanity. It is quite clear that these two
principles often pulled in opposite directions. The Council of Chalcedon was the church s attempt to
resolve, or perhaps rather to agree to live with, that tension. This essay will examine and critically
analyse this stance alongside answering the question of would it matter if Jesus were not fully God
and fully human? Five specific points will be looked at; Jesus is God, Jesus is man, Jesus is a sinless
man, Jesus will be fully God and man forever, and

Herpes Simplex
Shingles like chickenpox may also occur in the mouth if the maxillary or mandibular division of the
trigeminal nerve is affected. A rash will appear on the mucous membrane of the upper jaw, usually
along the palate, sometimes along the gums of the upper teeth or even along the lower jaw (tongue or
the gums of the lower teeth) respectively. It may show up alone or along with the rash along your skin.
Like the skin lesions they will typically stay to one side of the mouth and they will distinguish
themselves from oral blisters. They will typically show as 1 4mm opaque vesicles which will break
down quickly to leave ulcers that will heal in about 10 14 days. Prodromal pain, occurring before the
rash, could be confused with that of a toothache ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Very few diseases produce such a rash so differentiating between them from others is simple. Herpes
simplex virus (HSV) can produce such a rash but only occasionally. If there isn t a rash or it hasn t
developed yet then shingles can be difficult to diagnose. Apart from the rash the other symptoms
(fever, headache, possible sensitivity to light and pain) can be linked to many other conditions. The
Tzanck smear is helpful in determining an acute infection of herpes virus though it doesn t distinguish
between HSV and VZV. If you suspect that its shingles a trip to your doctor can help diagnose if the
rash hasn t produced yet. A simple blood test can determine if you have VZV specific IgM antibodies
in your blood. This particular antibody only appears when you have chickenpox or shingles, never
when the virus is dormant. In larger laboratories they collect lymph from one of the blisters to test for
the VZV DNA or to look with an electron microscope for virus particles. Molecular biology tests are
based on in vitro nucleic acid amplification (PCR testing) which is currently the most reliable. Nested
PCR tests have a high sensitivity and are susceptible to contamination which leads to a false positive.
The latest real time PCR tests are rapid, easy to perform and just as sensitive as nested PCR and have
a lower chance of contamination and are more sensitive than viral

The Revolution Was A Huge Period Of Change From 1775-1783
The American Revolution was a huge period of change from 1775 1783. The revolution was
extremely revolutionary in some cases. At other times, the reevolution didn t change anything.
America would not be the America it is today if the revolution didn t change the style of government.
America would be a country ran by a king if it weren t for revolutionary change of government. On
the other hand, the revolution did absolutely nothing for slaves and blacks. The laws that were set in
the 1780 s against slavery were way too lenient and that allowed no change to occur. It is evident that
the revolution was revolutionary and it wasn t at the same time.
The ideas about government, are one of the major changes that took place during the revolution.
Although many people do not see how revolutionary the ideas of government actually were, ending a
monarchy government is extremely revolutionary. A picture printed by Andre Bassett, shows multiple
men taking down an English statute . This shows how the colonists viewed the old government. For
example, the statue represents all of the power that Great Britain has over the colonies, and the
colonists are trying to bring it to an end so they are taking down the statue (Document A). The tearing
down of the statue helps show that the colonists no longer wanted to tolerate the government under
Great Britain. A follow up example is an except from The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen
United States of America. ...[T]hat to secure these

Choosing Unhampered Market Process
Analyse of what would happen if the steering (injection of money) would be abandoned and a return
to the unhampered market process was chosen instead.
Systems exist to maintain the society and bring prosperity, the monetary system is one and have gone
through different stages and uses in its development. Due to different needs, societies develop at
different pace so, the advantages and disadvantages of monetary system varies from one society to
another. Today, money is no more backed by commodity, not equal to gold reserves; it has only a
promissory standard. Thus no standard can effectively determine true money value as it is constantly
redefined by consumers with relative understanding of other products true values in the market. ...
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The problem is that it takes time to produce. The too much money injected in the economy is chasing
outputs of lesser values. Thus, less valuable products are produced and then kept alive in the market
with this artificial government money. The values of our commodities are now unreal making them to
cost much less than they would have in the unhampered market process.
In Finland as well as well as other western states, most people that bought apartments with
government backed loans could not have afforded it if the governments were not giving home loan
interest tax deductions. Some profit calculations in the housing market investments are based on
negative cash flow deductions and 100% deduction of the investment expenses. These types of
investments would crash if we return to the unhampered market process, as the government will be
unable to give those tax breaks or loan backups. All toxic firms that are creating ponzi schemes, and
service providers like cleaning companies ran by people who would not be in the business without
support money (startti raha) from the unemployment office will die off. There will be more
unemployed people.
Finland as a social welfare state cannot be the same in an unhampered market process because
government will not be a producer. Cheap public services like free education, cheap medical care and
social insurance like Kela would be more expensive.

  • 2. Memi And Sambu Essay Sculptures have been a part of human cultures for many centuries. They have been depictions of gods, tell stories, honor spirits, and celebrations. Today many sculptures have helped tell the way of life and history of prehistoric times. Sculptures can be described as the art of carving, modeling, welding, or otherwise producing figurative or abstract works of art in three dimensions, as in relief, intaglio, or in the round. (Dictionary.com, 2017)Two ancient sculptures include the Statue of Memi and Sabu and Seated Statue of Gudea, which have unique physiognomies. Statue of Memi and Sabu is an Egyptian sculpture, or probably from Memphite Region, Giza, Western Cemetery, which dates back to the Old Kingdom, Dynasty 4, ca. 2575 2465 B.C. It is a painted limestone statue, which evokes the closeness of Memi and his companion, Sabu, a non royal couple in a standing position. On the base of the statue, one would see that it does include inscripted lettering (The Met s Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History, 2017) It could be interpreted that Memi and Sabu are a possible couple based on the intimate hug and his left hand on Sabu left breast. A non intimate couple would not engage in such a dear embrace. • 3. Descriptive Essay About Kahului Airport As I leave for Oregon I enter the Kahului airport, a fairly familiar site as I ve been here a number of times for various reasons. Once inside I head to my destination, which isn t too hard to find. The airport is sparsely populated with people awaiting their flights. On the way to my gate I come across a hot dog stand selling overpriced hot dogs. With nothing else to eat I bought one for myself and one for each of my brothers. Aside from each bite being a mouthful of onions, it was decent enough. Maybe he d make more of a profit if he halved the amount of onions he used on each hotdog. I sit at one of the seats that line the aisles to eat my overpriced food. Beside me my brothers sit and eat their own hotdogs, the seats across the aisle remain empty much like most of the airport. The time comes to board the plane, the small space is filled and we take off shortly after. Looking out the window all you can see is the dark of night and the lights coming from the island. With a long flight ahead, I do my best to rest while I can. Following a six hour flight from Maui I arrive in San Francisco. I step off the plane and am greeted by a sea of people and an airport much larger than the one in Kahului. The much more calm feeling of the island is replaced by the hustle and bustle of the much larger city, quite honestly it s a tad strange. There was not a moment s rest for these people as they hurried along from one gate to the next. There s no order in the way people walk, sometimes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is rare to think I am just dreaming in a dream. In the 1990s movie Total Recall the director, Paul Verhoeven, attempts to illustrate the puzzling question of what is reality and what is not? With Arnold Schwarzenegger in this futuristic flick, the director cleverly confuses the audience about what is real in the movie, making one doubt each previous scene. One of his theories was that he was being deceived by a conniving and mischievous demon that was hell bent on distorting his reality. The demon could be comparable to the evil dictator and the memory replacing machine in Total Recall. Despite the evil demon, Descartes did manage to reveal one very true thing and that is that he must exist if he truly is being deceived by the evil demon because he needs to exist in order to be deceived. He later summarizes this into his famous phrase I think, therefore, I am. (Descartes 136). The second philosopher that analyses the problem of what is reality and what is not in the Introduction to Philosophy textbook is Christopher Grau. Grau, in his essay, expands on Descartes idea of the evil demon by basing it off of The Matrix with his theory, The Brain in a Vat Theory. The theory is just like it sounds. Just like in Total Recall, an extremely intelligent device has the ability to give humans and gives them a false reality of a life. What Grau is purposing is that we, as people, could quite possibly be hooked up to a super computer and given false memories and experiences as well. In conclusion, Total Recall is a ... According to Mack and Media (2013), The most effective supply chains deliver products as fast and as cheaply as possible without sacrificing quality . In order to succeed in doing so, it is strongly believed that companies should pay attention to technology and talent. What is supply chain? Cottrill (2010) notes that People often think it is only about moving boxes, something to do with transport and logistics; it almost gets narrowed down to the warehousing and delivery piece . In reality, supply chain does not only focus on moving products from one place to another places. It involves every stages from the beginning that customers want to buy products until they pay and become satisfied with goods. Manufacturer and suppliers, customers, retailers, warehouses and transporters are all parts of the supply chain (Chopra et al., 2004). Due to globalization and market uncertainties, there is a changing competitive environment in doing business. I believe that a supply chain can keep on improving in such condition by implementing The Triple A Supply Chain strategy which is agile, adaptable and aligned. The term agile refers to an ability to quickly respond to unexpected changes for instance natural disasters and epidemics. Adaptable can be defined as an ability to adjust oneself to deal with problems such as political changes and demographic trends in order to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Songlyrics In The Figurative Language In Literature Figurative language in the world of literature is language that uses words or expressions with a deep meaning that is different from the normal meaning of words and expressions. In the world of literature many writers and poets use figurative language to grab their audience attention. Figurative language is very common in poetry, lyrics, nonfiction writing and prose pieces. In this particular essay I would be discussing and analyzing different songlyrics that contain figures of speech and how effective these different figures of speech make the songs popular. In the figurative language we have different figures of speech. A figure of speech is a word or phrase that has different meaning than the actual meaning is a way writers used to exaggerate feelings and emotions. There are several figures of speech such as a hyperbole, personification, metaphor, simile and onomatopoeia. Each of these figures of speech all have different functions they play in the world of writing. Analysis Of Stairway To Heaven No matter how many times somebody is asked to give an explanation to what the song Stairway to Heaven really perseveres, different answers will be given every time. The song Stairway to Heaven was written by Led Zeppelin in 1971. Throughout all these years, still everybody has their own interpretation to the song, and they will respond differently based upon what the true meaning of the song really is. The reason being is, the song represents many different values throughout it, and it is the others choice to determine the outlook on it. In 1980, Led Zeppelin could have had the biggest tour in the history of rock and roll. Although, this never happened because one of the members, Rob Plant, refused to be a part of it. He rejected to reunite with the rest of the group because he believed that no amount of money is worth having to sing Stairway to Heaven. To begin with, when asked about Rob Plant s interpretation of the song, he responded with I still interpret the song a different way and I wrote the lyrics. In addition, he believed that the lyrics took some rough shots. In the beginning of it, he claims that it is meant towards a woman who strives for money, only to find out the unpleasant way that is going to be keeping her from reaching her stairway to heaven. This would increase the price of produce, making it quite expensive (Sexton, 2011, p. 3). For example, California grows the majority of the produce such as strawberries. Unlike the state of Utah, California would not need as much acres of land to be able to grow strawberries and it would cost less to do so. Compared to most states, California is capable of making the most of its resources efficiently due to its geography. By having local farms producing outside crops, it would only sacrifice the advantages California and other states have in producing particular crops (Meyers, Sexton, 2011, p.1). With the prices of produce increasing due to the increase in natural resources, this makes it a burden on poor consumers who won t be able to purchase produce locally and have to go to a supermarket which best fits their means. Decreasing the distances which it takes for produce to travel from farm to fork (Meyers, Sexton, 2015, p.1) helps to reduce fuel and save the environment. However, transportation only takes up a total of 10% or less of the energy used to bring goods to market (Meyers, Sexton, 2015, p.1). This does not consist of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Robert Smithson s Spiral Jetty In 1970, Robert Smithson created the Spiral Jetty with dump trucks, front loaders, and a tractor to move the basalt stones and sand. The Spiral Jetty is located near the Great Salt Lake of Utah. Smithson created this piece so that the land and the water could meet. This artwork is supposed to change over time in response to the environment. Robert Smithson represents the idea of entropy in the Spiral Jetty. Therefore, this landscape looks different than whenever it was first established. The Spiral Jetty is located at a terminal basin, which is a freshwater place with no outlet. Whenever it is done flowing it will evaporate. So the water is dense with minerals causing the high amount of basalt and sand. For this reason, not many plants ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Hippocampus Glucocorticoid Receptor (HPA) The overall goal of this paper is to see how epigenomic programming is established and maintained through behavioral programming, and whether or not it s modifiable or reversible later in life (specifically adult, post mitotic tissues). The authors hypothesis is that maternal care such as pup licking and grooming (LG) as well as arched back nursing (ABN) can affect DNA methylation of the GR promotor region, exon 1 base 7 promoter, and that these effects can be sustained throughout adulthood while being associated with differences in hippocampus glucocorticoid receptor (GR) expression and Hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis (HPA) reactions to stress. The independent variable in this experiment is the Trichostatin A (TSA) injection/infusion. Trichostatin A is a Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. It is made up of chemical compounds that interfere with gene expression by removing the acetyl groups from the histones. Starting with figure 1, the major question that the figure is attempting to answer is how LG ABN maternal care affects cytosine methylation of the GR promotor and how CpG methylation in the GR promotor region, exon 1 base 7 promoter differ between high and low LG ABN (maternal care) groups. It is trying to figure out whether there is a causal relationship between LG ABN and DNA methylation of the pups and whether or not timing of maternal care/age of the pups have anything to do with the different levels of DNA methylation. There are both positive and negative control groups for figure 1. The positive control is the group of offspring that received low amount of LG ABN from their mothers and show high amounts of C methylation. The negative control is the group of offspring that ... But, after the research I did and asking people specific questions, I saw that even adults display different types of attachments in relationships. Four different forms of attachment were developed because of the strange situation experiment. Those being: secure attachment, insecure avoidant, insecure resistant and disoriented disorganized. I wanted to see if I could specifically place an adult into one of these categories by forming a rating scale based on a couple of statements that were related to each type of attachment. I asked two people that are very close to me to take the survey I developed: My boyfriend Nick, and a co worker Donna. So, each of the statements ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Stereotypes In Professional Sports Ask any sports fan what is your favorite day and they would most likely respond that it s game day. Sports fans show team spirit for their sports teams by wearing their colors, singing chants about them or most commonly shouting their team names to pick at fans of other teams and rivals. If your favorite sports team s name is influenced by Native Americans then you may not want to shout that to anyone. The teams that are named after Native Americans are under fire, especially if you are a Washington Redskins fan. The Redskins are a team that is getting fire from the public for having a derogatory nickname representing Native Americans. Some people argue that it is offensive for the team from our nation s capital to have the name Redskins because it s disrespectful to a race of people. There are other sports teams that have a Native American name but they are getting less attention, but it is not right to change just one name, you have to change the names of the other teams to eliminate the problem entirely. Cultural Anthropology And The American Society Lucas Mochal General Education Task Assignment 1 10/3/2014 Cultural Anthropology Feminist Approach to the American Society One theoretical approach in the field of cultural anthropology is the Feminist Approach. The feminist approach is an approach that helped females from all diverse cultures to band together for equal rights or more freedom for themselves. A feminist theory can be described as an approach to move towards empowering women worldwide. Feminism has been a problem in any culture from any time in history, and feminist worldwide are all banding together for one reason: to become independent and highly powered women. The main goals of feminism are to discuss the importance of women, break the gender inequality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the later centuries in school girls were depicted to be in home economic classes to learn how to be a homemaker, whereas boys were sought out to be in math and science classes. As the centuries progressed society has changed immensely in how men have treated their women and how women have overcome their typical roles in society. People have always had the impression that society is driven by males. One big feministic move that women fought for was the right to be able to vote. Women had never been able to vote because it was thought that men should only have the right to choose who would be serving us locally and nationally. Liberal feminists thought that this idea was unfair and that both genders should be able to vote, so they fought for the right for some women to vote in 1918 and then in 1928 their appeal was approved and all women got the right to be able to vote. Another area that feminists fought to change was the view of women in the workplace. Many career areas have always been depicted as a men only career such as Political, law enforcement, military and construction. Feminist have taken the challenge to prove that this is a gender equal nation where women are able to do the same amount of work that men can do if not better than men. In the earlier centuries when it came to serving in the military you would never find a women serving because they were known to be very weak and physically unfit to serve in the ... • 28. Analysis Of The Longest Day As World War II was ending, the film industry saw a surge in the production of combat films depicting what unfolded in the war. These films usually displayed the fighting as either patriotic or anti war. However, some movies were produced which took a more neutral stance on the violence and focused more on historical accuracy. In The Longest Day, directed by Darryl F. Zanuck, the Allies plan and execute landings on several beaches in France such as Normandy to enter the European theater at the start of the second World War. It also shows the events of D Day from everyone s point of view, even including Nazi Germany and the French Resistance. The Longest Day asserted itself as an extremely successful film because of the more neutral approach it took on the fighting, the historical accuracy it possessed, and it s depiction of ethnic relations. Unlike most films at the time, The Longest Day did not strongly take a pro war or anti war stance. Instead it had more of an uncommitted theme which was centered around the correctness of the battles of the war. Nevertheless, there are some occasional scenes showing valor and bravery, such as the scene at Utah beach where soldiers charge. I believe Zanuck chose to make the film equitable instead of a patriotic film or an anti war film because he truly wanted to capture the battles and what he saw of the war. The allies aren t particularly shown as heroes as much as in other movies and the German soldiers are shown as average, non evil ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. The Circadian Rhythms Each day, when the sun rises and sets, mammals and plants alike conform together with a celestial rhythm that instructs the activities of the day. The human body, along with nearly all other mammals, endogenously oscillates on a rhythm that coincides with these daily activities. However, when mammals are placed in an environment void of nearly all outside influences, also known as zeitgebers, these rhythms continue to run at specified intervals. Thus, the endogenous rhythm must be governed by an internal master clock. This master clock has been discovered to be the suprachiasmatic nuclei which are located in the anterior portion of the hypothalamus. Circadian rhythms are endogenous rhythms that mammals and plants exhibit. The term circadian was established in the 1950 s and is derived from the Latin prefix circa which means approximately, and dies which means day. (2) Nearly all living things have circadian rhythms that approximate to a 24 hour cycle; however there are some differences in lengths varying from species to species. (1) Numerous physiological processes are governed by the circadian rhythm, and by effect nearly every process in the body can be contributed to a rhythm of circadian fashion. The master clock of the circadian rhythm for biological processes is the suprachiasmatic nuclei, or SCN. (1)(2) The SCN is located in the anterior portion of the hypothalamus, posterior to and slightly inferior to the frontal lobe of the brain. The SCN is believed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The Concept Of Jesus Being Fully Man Introduction The concept of Jesus being fully man but also fully God at the same time has been debated amongst scholars, both Christians and non Christians alike for centuries. The doctrine and study surrounding the person of Jesus is known as Christology, and after extensive and often hostile debates the Church gave a concluding definition of its Christology in 451 CE at the Council of Chalcedon. It was stated that they affirmed the belief in Jesus Christ as one Person in two natures, which are united without confusion. The early church was adamant that the Incarnation was one of the most important truths of the Christian faith. Maurice Wiles, an Oxford patristic scholar summarised the Chalcedons s aims as follows: On the other hand was the conviction that a saviour must be fully divine; on the other hand was the conviction that what is not assumed is not healed. Or, to put the matter in other words, the source of salvation must be God; the locus of salvation must be humanity. It is quite clear that these two principles often pulled in opposite directions. The Council of Chalcedon was the church s attempt to resolve, or perhaps rather to agree to live with, that tension. This essay will examine and critically analyse this stance alongside answering the question of would it matter if Jesus were not fully God and fully human? Five specific points will be looked at; Jesus is God, Jesus is man, Jesus is a sinless man, Jesus will be fully God and man forever, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Herpes Simplex Shingles like chickenpox may also occur in the mouth if the maxillary or mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve is affected. A rash will appear on the mucous membrane of the upper jaw, usually along the palate, sometimes along the gums of the upper teeth or even along the lower jaw (tongue or the gums of the lower teeth) respectively. It may show up alone or along with the rash along your skin. Like the skin lesions they will typically stay to one side of the mouth and they will distinguish themselves from oral blisters. They will typically show as 1 4mm opaque vesicles which will break down quickly to leave ulcers that will heal in about 10 14 days. Prodromal pain, occurring before the rash, could be confused with that of a toothache ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Very few diseases produce such a rash so differentiating between them from others is simple. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) can produce such a rash but only occasionally. If there isn t a rash or it hasn t developed yet then shingles can be difficult to diagnose. Apart from the rash the other symptoms (fever, headache, possible sensitivity to light and pain) can be linked to many other conditions. The Tzanck smear is helpful in determining an acute infection of herpes virus though it doesn t distinguish between HSV and VZV. If you suspect that its shingles a trip to your doctor can help diagnose if the rash hasn t produced yet. A simple blood test can determine if you have VZV specific IgM antibodies in your blood. This particular antibody only appears when you have chickenpox or shingles, never when the virus is dormant. In larger laboratories they collect lymph from one of the blisters to test for the VZV DNA or to look with an electron microscope for virus particles. Molecular biology tests are based on in vitro nucleic acid amplification (PCR testing) which is currently the most reliable. Nested PCR tests have a high sensitivity and are susceptible to contamination which leads to a false positive. The latest real time PCR tests are rapid, easy to perform and just as sensitive as nested PCR and have a lower chance of contamination and are more sensitive than viral ... • 33. The Revolution Was A Huge Period Of Change From 1775-1783 The American Revolution was a huge period of change from 1775 1783. The revolution was extremely revolutionary in some cases. At other times, the reevolution didn t change anything. America would not be the America it is today if the revolution didn t change the style of government. America would be a country ran by a king if it weren t for revolutionary change of government. On the other hand, the revolution did absolutely nothing for slaves and blacks. The laws that were set in the 1780 s against slavery were way too lenient and that allowed no change to occur. It is evident that the revolution was revolutionary and it wasn t at the same time. The ideas about government, are one of the major changes that took place during the revolution. Although many people do not see how revolutionary the ideas of government actually were, ending a monarchy government is extremely revolutionary. A picture printed by Andre Bassett, shows multiple men taking down an English statute . This shows how the colonists viewed the old government. For example, the statue represents all of the power that Great Britain has over the colonies, and the colonists are trying to bring it to an end so they are taking down the statue (Document A). The tearing down of the statue helps show that the colonists no longer wanted to tolerate the government under Great Britain. Systems exist to maintain the society and bring prosperity, the monetary system is one and have gone through different stages and uses in its development. Due to different needs, societies develop at different pace so, the advantages and disadvantages of monetary system varies from one society to another. Today, money is no more backed by commodity, not equal to gold reserves; it has only a promissory standard. Thus no standard can effectively determine true money value as it is constantly redefined by consumers with relative understanding of other products true values in the market. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The problem is that it takes time to produce. The too much money injected in the economy is chasing outputs of lesser values. Thus, less valuable products are produced and then kept alive in the market with this artificial government money. The values of our commodities are now unreal making them to cost much less than they would have in the unhampered market process. In Finland as well as well as other western states, most people that bought apartments with government backed loans could not have afforded it if the governments were not giving home loan interest tax deductions. Some profit calculations in the housing market investments are based on negative cash flow deductions and 100% deduction of the investment expenses. These types of investments would crash if we return to the unhampered market process, as the government will be unable to give those tax breaks or loan backups. All toxic firms that are creating ponzi schemes, and service providers like cleaning companies ran by people who would not be in the business without support money (startti raha) from the unemployment office will die off. There will be more unemployed people. Finland as a social welfare state cannot be the same in an unhampered market process because government will not be a producer.
