Edith Cavell was born in 1865 at Swardeston in Norfolk. Her father, Frederick Cavell, was a Church
of England vicar there. Even though her family was quite poor, Edith had a good childhood memory
playing with her father, brothers and sisters. At her young age, she was taught to share what she had
with others. The family Sunday lunch was always divided in half to give for the poor villagers. Edith
and her mother also liked to visit the poor and she became a Sunday School teacher and Godmother to
some of the poorer children in her hometown.
Her interest in caring for others and belief in humanity influenced her to become a fun, smiling and
kind governess, looking after the young children in New England. Then, Edith decided to travel for a

preschool program is located in a quiet suburban neighborhood on 4103 Bryant Street, Blasdell, New

Honor Thy Father
In a country where the non belief in a supernatural creator is almost unthinkable, Honor Thy Father is
very brave indeed. If director Erik Matti were a politician, this movie would be career
suicide...although there is a running conspiracy online that the disqualification controversy concerning
the film is caused by people who weren t enthusiastic about the portrayal of The Church of Yeshua.

His daughter from a mother s scolding? A mother from worrying about the violent morality of a child?
His own sense of morality that goes against what his wife has gotten the family into?
Matti and Yamamoto obviously take these themes seriously, and so does Cruz, Soriano, Tirso Cruz III,
and William Martinez (whose character is unfortunately unexplored in the film). The look on Cruz s
face when the teacher reprimands Angel (saying Hindi ka dapat nakikipag away, kababae mong tao )
is the reason why awards for acting exist.
For his part, Matti also brings his A game directing the first act. The camera is all about the money and
hysterics in sequences involving The Church of Yeshua, exposing the hypocrisy by portraying these
gatherings with unflinching accuracy. The audience sees the events unfold from Egay s perspective
and it is easy to share the rage building inside him as money worship strips nearly everyone in this
film of any sense of humanity.
By the time Egay loses his cool after taking all manners of beating, the audience is primed and ready
for the second half where perhaps retribution lies.
Sadly, in the Philippines and in this work of fiction, justice (even vigilante justice) doesn t exist.
In the second half, Egay s background is revealed, but there s little meat in the bones. There are too
many shots of tunneling through to get to a goal and

Analysis Of The Movie The War
The second scene begins with a voice off from the battlefield. We hear voices of both Iraqi and Iranian
soldiers who are repeating the same cries, asking for blessedness from God, Prophet Mohammed, Ali,
and Hussein. The hysterical cries of the soldiers are heard along with sounds of explosions and
machine guns. The young man wakes up and it turns out to be his dream. The war is thus presented as
this young man s timeless and eternal nightmarish present. Similar to the rest of the soldiers, he calls
onto Hussein, the Prophet s grandson, but he also shouts that his friend, Hussein, has been slain in the
same manner. The playwright thus wants to bring together the past and the present and to call upon the
audience to change the situation otherwise the past will keep on repeating itself. When Zainab comes
in, he insists on reading her brother s last letter. Hussein says that he is very sad that Muslims are
fighting one another. At the war front he realized the trap that is set for Muslim soldiers: Iraqis and
Iranians. They are all sentenced to death. He also said that he saw the image of Al Hussein, son of Ali,
on the back of his horse shouting to all Muslims to stop this war. Oh Muslims... Stop this cursed war..

There are special sessions that are called by the governor. The legislative process in Texas is a hybrid
system with a combination of both the full time legislature and the part time legislature. The 140 day

Pulkovo was the first airport to be developed in Russia using a PPP. The contract is between three

The author of The Scarlet Letter, Nathanial Hawthorne, is constantly using symbolism to keep the
reader engaged and curious. A symbol can stand for one thing but mean another. These include
symbolism s of light and dark, variations of the letter A , weeds and flowers, as well as the scaffold.
Because Nathanial Hawthorne wrote portraying a lot of symbolism, he created a new style of writing.
Hawthorne uses light and dark to symbolize the battle between good and evil. Between Hester, Pearl,
and Chillingworth. The first example is found in the first sentence of chapter one, A throng of bearded
men, in sad coloured garments and grey steeple crowned hats (Hawthorne 11). The use of the color
grey symbolizes sadness and a gloomy setting. Hester s beauty and light is covered up by her sin and
darkness. Hester is the only character that is characterized by both light and dark. Chillingworth is
only characterized by darkness and Pearl is innocent and drawn to the light. The first variation of the
letter A that Hester wears is used to describe adultery. She is made to wear this letter on her chest to
