John Watson was the founder of behaviorism and believed that psychology could be studied scientifically through observable behavior. He conducted classical conditioning experiments on humans, most famously with Little Albert, demonstrating that emotions could be conditioned through repeated pairing of a neutral stimulus with an unconditioned stimulus. Watson's theory rejected concepts of mind and consciousness, instead viewing all behavior as learned through stimulus-response associations and conditioning experiences.
Behaviorism, also known as behavioral psychology, is a theory of learning based upon the idea that all behaviors are acquired through conditioning.
Conditioning occurs through interaction with the environment.
Behaviorists believe that our responses to environmental stimuli shape our actions.
Our Task 3. In this PowerPoint, we talked about how the theory of the behaviorism in John Watson. Language production was the result of stimuli that produced the formation of a habit. A learner’s response to stimuli can be reinforced using positive or negative feedback.

This descriptive ppt on Behaviorism will help to take the knowledge in crux. It includes how the behaviorism came into fame after the fall of Psychology and goals of behaviorism. It includes the brief contribution of Watson and B.F Skinner two leading forces of Behaviorism. It includes classical conditioning, S-R relationship,it also includes operant conditioning. It also states about the criticism of Behaviorism.
Operant condition theory is one among prominent behaviorist theories proposed by Skinner. The slides will help to unfold basic ideas about this theory.

Servant Leadership: Leading Without PowerSam Davidson
For a talk to student leaders at Vanderbilt, here's my take on who servant leaders are, what they do, and why they're best to bring about lasting change in society.
Today’s presentation focuses on Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring. During this presentation we will analyze the theoretical framework, review the critical components of the Theory of Caring, and discuss how the theory is utilized in nursing practice. This presentation will also detail application of Watson’s Theory of Caring into the peri-operative environment by instituting a “sacred space” and explain the process of implementing the sacred space. Enjoy!
These slides are about different methods and types of learning and basically concerned about classical conditioning. Classical conditioning and its whole process is described here briefly.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
3. Introduction of John Broadus
Watson
Father of American Behaviorist theory
His work based on Pavlov experiments on
dogs digestive system
He researched on classical conditioning
Watson believed that all individual
differences in behavior were due to different
experiences of learning.
4. Cont….
John Watson proposed that the process of
classical conditioning was able to explain all
aspects of human psychology.
Everything from speech to emotional
responses were simply patterns of stimulus
and response.
Watson denied completely the existence of
the mind or consciousness.
5. Famous quotation by Watson
"Give me a dozen healthy infants, well-
formed, and my own specified world to
bring them up in and I'll guarantee to take
any one at random and train him to
become any type of specialist I might
select - doctor, lawyer, artist, merchant-
chief and, yes, even beggar-man and
thief, regardless of his talents, penchants,
tendencies, abilities, vocations and the
race of his ancestors”
6. Aspects of Watson's theory
He opposed mentalistic concepts
He used contiguity to explain learning
He considered emotion to be just another
example of classical conditioning.
He rejected the notion of individual
differences
7. Cont…
He thought complex behaviors came about
through combinations of identifiable reflexes
He was a chief proponent of "nurture" and
believed that all human differences were the
result of learning
He believed that practice strengthens
learning
8. Stage 1: Before Conditioning:
In this stage, the unconditioned stimulus
(UCS) produces an unconditioned
response (UCR)in an organism.
In basic terms, this means that a stimulus in
the environment has produced a behavior /
response which is unlearned and
therefore is a natural response which has
not been taught
9. Neutral Stimulus
This stage also involves another stimulus
which has no effect on a person and is called
the neutral stimulus (NS).
The NS could be a person, object, place, etc.
The neutral stimulus in classical conditioning
does not produce a response until it is paired
with the unconditioned stimulus.
10. Stage 2: During Conditioning:
During this stage a stimulus which produces
no response (i.e. neutral) is associated with
the unconditioned stimulus at which point it
now becomes known as the conditioned
stimulus (CS).
11. Cont…
However, one trail learning can happen on
certain occasions when it is not necessary for
an association to be strengthened over time
12. Stage 3: After Conditioning:
Now the conditioned stimulus (CS) has been
associated with the unconditioned stimulus
(UCS) to create a new conditioned response
(CR).
13.
14. Watson Experiment
Watson was interested in taking Pavlov's
research further to show that emotional
reactions could be classically conditioned
in people.
The participant in the experiment was a child
Known as Little Albert
15. Little Albert
A 9 month baby
Watson exposed the child to a series of
stimuli including a white rat, a rabbit, a
monkey, masks and burning newspapers
and
observed the boy's reactions
16.
17. Stage 1 Before Conditioning
The boy initially showed no fear of any of the
objects he was shown.
18. Stage 2 During Conditioning
The next time Albert was exposed the rat,
Watson made a loud noise by hitting a metal
pipe with a hammer.
19. Stage 3 After Conditioning
Naturally, the child began to cry after hearing
the loud noise.
After repeatedly pairing the white rat with the
loud noise, Albert began to cry simply after
seeing the rat.
20. Elements of Classical Conditioning
Neutral Stimulus: The white rat
Unconditioned Stimulus: The loud noise
Unconditioned Response: Fear
Conditioned Stimulus: The white rat
Conditioned Response: Fear
