This document summarizes a study on the feasibility of treating press mud from the sugar industry through vermicomposting using the earthworm species Eudrilus eugeniae. The study analyzed various physio-chemical parameters like organic carbon, C/N ratio, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH, electrical conductivity, and iron content during the 60-day vermicomposting period. The results showed increases in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content and decreases in C/N ratio, indicating the press mud was successfully converted into a nutrient-rich organic manure through the vermicomposting process using E. eugeniae.
