India faces significant issues with road accidents due to rapid motorization. 2) The majority of road accidents in India are attributed to human error by drivers. Other contributing factors include vehicle issues, road conditions, and environmental factors. 3) Preventive measures that could reduce accidents and fatalities include improving road and vehicle safety, enforcing traffic laws, educating drivers and the public, and enhancing emergency response. A multifaceted approach is needed to address this major public health issue.
