Q-LEARNING BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL TO ENHANCE NETWORK LIFETIME IN WSNSIJCNCJournal
In resource constraint Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), enhancement of network lifetime has been one of the significantly challenging issues for the researchers. Researchers have been exploiting machine learning techniques, in particular reinforcement learning, to achieve efficient solutions in the domain of WSN. The objective of this paper is to apply Q-learning, a reinforcement learning technique, to enhance the lifetime of the network, by developing distributed routing protocols. Q-learning is an attractive choice for routing due to its low computational requirements and additional memory demands. To facilitate an agent running at each node to take an optimal action, the approach considers node’s residual energy, hop length to sink and transmission power. The parameters, residual energy and hop length, are used to calculate the Q-value, which in turn is used to decide the optimal next-hop for routing. The proposed protocols’ performance is evaluated through NS3 simulations, and compared with AODV protocol in terms of network lifetime, throughput and end-to-end delay.

A Novel Routing Strategy Towards Achieving Ultra-Low End-to-End Latency in 6G...IJCNCJournal
Compared to 5G, 6G networks will demand even more ambitious reduction in endto-end latency for packet communication. Recent attempts at breaking the barrier of end-to-end millisecond latencies have focused on re-engineering networks using a hybrid approach consisting of an optical-fiber based backbone network architecture coupled with high-speed wireless networks to connect end-devices to the backbone network. In our approach, a wide area network (WAN) is considered with a high-speed optical fiber grid network as its backbone. After messages from a source node enter the backbone network through a local wireless network, these are delivered very fast to an access point in the backbone network closest to the destination node, followed by its transfer to the local wireless network for delivery to the destination node. We propose a novel routing strategy which is based on distributing the messages in the network in such a way that the average queuing delay of the messages through the backbone network is minimized, and also the route discovery time at each router in the backbone network is drastically reduced. Also, multiple messages destined towards a particular destination router in the backbone network are packed together to form a mailbag, allowing further reductions in processing overheads at intermediate routers and pipelining of mailbag formation and route discovery operations in each router. The performance of the proposed approach green based on these ideas has been theoretically analyzed and then simulated using the ns-3 simulator. Our results show that the average end-to-end latency is less than 380 µs (with only 46-79 µs within the backbone network under varying traffic conditions) for a 1 KB packet size, when using a 500 Gbps optical fiber based backbone network laid over a 15 Km × 15 Km area, a 50 Mbps uplink channel from the source to the backbone network, and a 1 Gbps downlink channel from the backbone network to the destination. The significant reduction in end-to-end latency as compared to existing routing solutions clearly demonstrates the potential of our proposed routing strategy for meeting the ultra-low latency requirements of current 5G and future 6G networks, particularly for mobile edge computing (MEC) application scenarios.
A RELIABLE AND ENERGY EFFICIENCT ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR MANETs cscpconf
A mobile ad-hoc network (MANETs) is an infrastructure less network in which the mobile nodes
communicate with each other. Due to its various characteristics like highly dynamic topology
and limited battery power of the nodes, routing is one of the key issue. Also, it is not possible to
give a significant amount of power to the mobile nodes of ad-hoc networks. Because of all this
the energy consumption is also an important issue. Due to limited battery power, some other
issues like if some node gets fail, which results in loss of data packets and no reliable data
transfer has been raised. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for data transmission which
detects the node failure (due to energy) before it actually happens. Because of this network
lifetime gets improved. The proposed routing algorithm is energy efficient as compared to
AODV routing algorithm. The performance is analyzed on the basis of various performance
metrics like Energy Consumption, Packet Delivery Ratio, Network Life Time, Network Routing
Overhead and number of Exhausted nodes in the network by using the NS2 Simulator.
In this paper we discuss about how to increase the reliability, energy-efficiency in a wireless sensor network. Since energy saving has become the top factor on demand due to the increasing multimedia services in mobile devices. The existing batteries unfortunately do not provide the desirable lifetime. Therefore reducing energy consumption has become very crucial factor in all the tasks the mobile devices perform. This work presents an Opportunistic Routing Protocol, which supports energy consumption by increasing the networks performance and also providing reliability to the wireless sensor networks.

In this paper, we propose a new simple relaying strategy based on bit-interleaved convolutionally coded starquadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) along with coherent/ noncoherent detection. Exploiting this property, a hard limiter is used to enhance power amplifier (PA) efficiency at the relay. Here we are using the higher order modulation for improving relay communication, and also employ the accurate relay technique. Moreover, we show that the proposed approach retains differential detectability, which results in a significant reduction of receiver complexity with robustness against phase ambiguity, by analyzing our proposed method in terms of asymptotic pairwise error probability (PEP), Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of PA efficiency is confirmed by comparing the statistical distributions of the corresponding instantaneous signal power. And also implement the PEP in MIMO systems for improving the powerefficiency. All the theoretical results agree with those obtained by computer simulations.
ADAPTIVE RANDOM SPATIAL BASED CHANNEL ESTIMATION (ARSCE) FOR MILLIMETER WAVE ...IJCNCJournal
Millimeter-wave and mMIMO communications are the most essential success systems for next-generation wireless sensor networks to have enormous amounts of accessible throughput and spectrum. Through installing huge antenna arrays at the base station and performing coherent transceiver processing, mMIMO is a potential technology for enhancing the bandwidth efficiency of wireless sensor networks. The use of mmWave frequencies for mMIMO systems solves the problem of high path-loss through offering greater antenna gains. In this work, we provide a design with a random spatial sample structure that incorporates a totally random step before the analogue is received. It contains a totally random step before the analogue received signals are sent into the digital component of the HBF receiver. Adaptive random spatial based channel estimation (ARSCE) is proposed for channel session measurement collection, and an analogue combiner with valves has been used to estimate the signals at each receiving antenna. The proposed optimization problem formulation attempts to discover the orientations and gains of wideband channel routes. In addition, our proposed model has compared to various state-of-art techniques while considering error minimization.
Efficient energy, cost reduction, and QoS based routing protocol for wireless...IJECEIAES
Recent developments and widespread in wireless sensor network have led to many routing protocols, many of these protocols consider the efficiency of energy as the ultimate factor to maximize the WSN lifetime. The quality of Service (QoS) requirements for different applications of wireless sensor networks has posed additional challenges. Imaging and data transmission needs both QoS aware routing and energy to ensure the efficient use of sensors. In this paper, we propose an Efficient, Energy-Aware, Least Cost, (ECQSR) quality of service routing protocol for sensor networks which can run efficiently with best-effort traffic processing. The protocol aims to maximize the lifetime of the network out of balancing energy consumption across multiple nodes, by using the concept of service differentiation, finding lower cost by finding the shortest path using nearest neighbor algorithm (NN), also put certain constraints on the delay of the path for real-time data from where link cost that captures energy nodes reserve, energy of the transmission, error rate and other parameters. The results show that the proposed protocol improves the network lifetime and low power consumption.
Integrated approach for efficient power consumption and resource allocation i...IJECEIAES
The growing interest towards wireless communication advancement with smart devices has provided the desired throughput of wireless communication mechanisms. But, attaining high-speed data packets amenities is the biggest issue in different multimedia applications. Recently, OFDM has come up with the useful features for wireless communication however it faces interference issues at carrier level (intercarrier interferences). To resolve these interference issues in OFDM, various existing mechanisms were utilized cyclic prefix, but it leads to redundancy in transmitted data. Also, the transmission of this redundant data can take some more power and bandwidth. All these limitations factors can be removed from a parallel cancellation mechanism. The integration of parallel cancellation and Convolution Viterbi encoding and decoding in MIMOOFDMA will be an effective solution to have high data rate which also associations with the benefits of both the architectures of MIMO and OFDMA modulation approaches. This paper deals with this integrated mechanism for efficient resource allocation and power consumption. For performance analysis, MIMO-OFDMA system is analyzed with three different approaches likeMIMO-OFDM system without parallel cancellation (MIMO-OFDMA-WPC), MIMO-OFDMA System with parallel cancellation (MIMO-OFDMA-PC) and proposed IMO-OFDMA system with parallel cancellation and Convolution Viterbi encoding/decoding (pMIMO-OFDMAPC &CVed) for 4x4 transmitter and receiver. Through performance analysis, it is found that the proposed system achieved better resource allocation (bandwidth) with high data rate by minimized BER rate and achieved least power consumption with least BER.
Performance Analysis of Energy Optimized LTE-V2X Networks for Delay Sensitive...IJCNCJournal
Energy-efficient relaying technology in multi-hop data transmission can help the challenges faced in cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (cellular-V2X) communication. However, due to high demand of emergency service requirements of the systems such as Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR), National Security and Public Safety (NSPS), Intelligent Transport System (ITS) etc., least energy consumed user equipment (UEs)/Vehicular-UEs are required which can either run real-time applications or relay the application data. To support these scenarios, we present a high way based system model in rural area and enhance its scope for applying single-hop direct, relay assisted multi-hop cellular-V2X and Store-CarryForward (SCF) modes of uplink data transmission. We compare the performance of three modes of transmissions in terms of overall energy consumption and overall transmission delay with specific delay constraints of VoIP and video applications. With the varying cell radius and irrespective type of applications, our numerical results, validated with ns-3 show that, least energy is always consumed in SCF mode due to its inherent property but applications suffer a lot due to high delay incurred whereas singlehop direct mode shows the reverse. When compared with cellular-V2X mode, overall transmission delay for single-hop direct mode is acceptable within cell radius 600m but beyond that, relay assisted multi-hop cellular-V2X mode always outperforms (with low latency and moderate energy consumption).
Energy Aware Routing Protocol for Energy Constrained Mobile Ad-hoc Networks IJECEIAES
Dynamic topology change and decentralized makes routing a challenging task in mobile ad hoc network. Energy efficient routing is the most challenging task in MANET due to limited energy of mobile nodes. Limited power of batteries typically use in MANET, and this is not easy to change or replace while running communication. Network disorder can occur for many factors but in middle of these factors deficiency of energy is the most significant one for causing broken links and early partition of the network. Evenly distribution of power between nodes could enhance the lifetime of the network, which leads to improving overall network transmission and minimizes the connection request. To discourse this issue, we propose an Energy Aware Routing Protocol (EARP) which considers node energy in route searching process and chooses nodes with higher energy levels. The EARP aim is to establish t he shortest route from source to destination that contains energy efficient nodes. The performance of EARP is evaluated in terms of packet delivery ratio, network lifetime, end-to-end delay and throughput. Results of simulation done by using NS2 network simulator shows that EARP can achieve both high throughput and delivery ratio, whereas increase network lifetime and decreases end-to-end delay.

Abstract
Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is an autonomous wireless network, deploy without any fixed infrastructure and assistance of base stations. Each node in network shares wireless link for interconnections and not only operates as an end system, but also as a router to forward packets. Since the network nodes are mobile, can be move in any direction with varying paces that generate high dynamicity of network so the protocols that are developed for general ad hoc networks are unsuitable for such an environment. In addition, on-hand routing protocols performance decreases as size of network increased. In this context, to enhance the recitation of routing in MANETs, we propose a new approach in this paper, named Advanced Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (A_AODV). It is a modified version of traditional AODV routing protocol, shrink the active path whenever optimal pathway is available and switches the traffic on it. Simulation studies are conducted using NS2 to prove that proposed approach enhance network performance when network size, load or the mobility increases

Optimized reduction approach of congestion in mobile ad hoc network based on...IJECEIAES
Over the past decades, computer networks have experienced an outbreak and with that came severe congestion problems. Congestion is a crucial determinant in the delivery of delay-sensitive applications (voice and video) and the quality of the network. in this paper, the Lagrangian optimization rate, delay, packet loss, and congestion approach (LORDPC) are presented. A congestion avoidance routing method for device-to-device (D2D) nodes in an ad hoc network that addresses the traffic intensity problem. The method of Lagrange multipliers is utilized for active route election to dodge heavy traffic links. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we applied extensive simulation that presents path discovery and selection. Results show that LORDPC decreases delay and traffic intensity while maintaining a high bitrate and low packet loss rate and it outperformed the ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) protocol and the Lagrangian optimization rate, delay, and packet loss, approach (LORDP).

Comparative Analysis of Green Algorithm within Active Queue Management for Mo...ijtsrd
The Queue Management Techniques play an important role in improving the Quality of Service in Mobile Ad hoc Networks. The need of congestion control and Queue management is inevitable in Mobile Ad hoc Network. Understanding and analyzing the latest AQM Techniques give an insight to improving throughput, packet loss rate, average end to end delay and other parameters that severely affect the performance. The performance of mobile ad hoc networks is evaluated by varying the Channel Error Rate, Bandwidth and Delay at different fragment sizes of different traffic flows. The proposed method performs the network analysis of new Routing protocols. The work proposes to evaluate various Active Queue Management Techniques in a multi traffic environment i.e., sources generating both TCP and UDP traffic classes. The UDP is propagated via CBR and TCP is propagated via FTP. The implementation of the proposed queue management technique has been done in NS 2. In the proposed work we have make NS 2 compatible with GREEN by integrating source code into the ns 2 installation files and using various AQMs in comparison with GREEN to calculate the throughput at various Bandwidths across network. Using various AQMs in comparison with GREEN we have calculated the throughput at various Delays across the network and we have also calculated the throughput at various channels Error Rate across the network. The proposed method has been compared with other primitive AQM techniques so that a repository of best available results can be obtained for design and research purposes. The proposed method has outperformed the existing queue management techniques in number of scenarios. Design and implementation of new routingIJCNCJournal
Energy consumption is a key element in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) design. Indeed, sensor nodes are really constrained by energy supply. Hence, how to improve the network lifetime is a crucial and challenging task. Several techniques are available at different levels of the OSI model to maximize the WSN lifetime and especially at the network layer which uses routing strategies to maintain the routes in the network and guarantee reliable communication. In this paper we intend to propose a new protocol called
Combined Energy and Distance Metrics Dynamic Routing Protocol (CEDM-DR). Our new approach considers not only the distance between wireless sensors but also the energy of node acting as a router in order to find the optimal path and achieve a dynamic and adaptive routing.
The performance metrics exploited for the evaluation of our protocol are average energy consumed, network lifetime and packets lost. By comparing our proposed routing strategy to protocol widely used in WSN namely Ad hoc On demand Distance Vector(AODV), simulation results show that CEDM-DR strategy might effectively balance the sensor power consumption and permits accordingly to enhance the network
lifetime. As well, this new protocol yields a noticeable energy saving compared to its counterpart.
Implementation of Mobility and QoS Aware Energy Efficient Anycast Routing in ...Eswar Publications
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a self-configuring network. It is wireless as well as infrastructure-less networks. It requires limited energy and resources. In MANET, data travel through the host. Each mediator host acts as a router. Therefore, It is difficult to guess the future location or network topology of the host. Anycast routing is nothing but one to one of many associations. In anycast routing, multiple destinations share the same IP address. From multiple destinations, packet routed to the nearest destination. Anycast is the simplest way of
communication. It has minimum communication overhead because packet forwarded to the nearest destination.
Therefore, it saves power, network bandwidth and message collision during message transmission. Due to host movement and dynamic changes in network topology stability and QoS of nodes is an important issue in MANET. These issues are addressed by Mobility and QoS aware energy efficient routing protocol. Proposed protocol has three major models: (1) Consistency model to identify stable nodes in network, (2) Traffic model to take QoS into consideration by checking traffic in network and (3) Energy model to make sure the link duration is within an acceptable range. Therefore, high data delivery can be achieved and nodes energy will be taken into the
consideration and reduce the link failure due to energy loss. PDR of EMQAR protocol is higher than existing MQAR protocol by 9%. Energy cosumption of EMQAR protocol is less than MQAR protocol by 2%. Dealy of EMQAR protocol is reduced by 1% than MQAR protocol. Control overhead of EMQAR protocol is 10% lesser than MQAR protocol.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
