In the present study, the extended concept of exergy analysis has been applied to a building located in
New Delhi with a volume of 60 m3 and having a single-glazed window on the south facing wall .With this study
thermal energy and thermal exergy flow were investigated to calculate the total thermal energy and exergy in
and out from the building. This allows performing a complex exergy analysis of the building in both heating
and cooling cases. The calculations were carried out by using the developed mathematical model of building
and measured solar radiation data on horizontal and vertical wall surface. The thermal energy and thermal
exergy flows for a space of a typical residential building of natural ventilation system with different parametric
changes (i.e. wall thickness, roof thickness, window material properties, window dimensions, wall material
thermal conductivity ) have been modelled and compared from the reference case .

Abstract:- Energy audit is a methodology which is used to reduce the energy consumption by the system. The foundry industries are the most energy consuming systems in India. The objective of this research is to minimize the energy utilization in the company by using energy audit technique. It was found that induction furnace is the major problem, which made the system to consume more energy. The experimental study was conducted to optimize the wall thickness of the furnace in order to increase the efficiency of the furnace using ANSYS. As the thickness increased from 0.200m to 0.300m the efficiency of the furnace also increased from 49.40% to 54.70% with energy utilization cost reduction of Rupees 1592, considering 8 hour per day operation.
CFD Analysis of a W Ribbed Roughness Solar Air HeaterYogeshIJTSRD
Solar air heaters are used to heat up air which can be used for various purposes. Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD has proved to be a boon for researchers to estimate performance of any machine at design stage only. In the present work, a 3 dimensional CFD investigation has been completed of sun powered air radiator to ponder heat exchange and liquid stream conduct in a rectangular pipe of a sun oriented air warmer with one roughened divider having blend of round and square transverse wire rib harshness. The impact of Reynolds number, harshness tallness, unpleasantness pitch, relative unpleasantness pitch and relative harshness stature on the warmth exchange coefficient and rubbing factor have been considered. From the investigation it has been found that, W formed harshness gives better warmth exchange rate as contrast with the V rib unpleasantness under comparable working conditions. The most extreme estimation of Nusselt number for W formed harshness is acquired with the relative unpleasantness pitch P e of 10 past that it begins diminishing. Ram Bahor Prajapati | N. V. COMPUTATIONAL STUDY OF COOLING OF PV SOLAR PANEL USING FINNED HEAT PIPE TECHN...IAEME Publication
Various solar energy technologies exist and they have different application techniques in the generation of electrical power. The widespread use of photovoltaic (PV) modules in such
technologies has been relatively high costs and low efficiencies. The efficiency of PV panel decreases as the operating temperature increases. This is due to reflection from the top surface, absorption of heat by the parts other than the cell, absorption of heat from the other portion of the spectrum.

Enhancing the Efficiency of Solar Panel Using Cooling SystemsIJERA Editor
The recent upsurge in the demand of photovoltaic systems is due to the fact that they produce electric power without causing much damage to the environment by directly converting the solar radiation into electric power. Solar energy is completely natural, it is considered as a clean energy source. So the study on enhancing the efficiency of solar panel is very necessary. Photovoltaic cells get overheated due to excessive solar radiation and ambient temperature. Therefore to rectify this problem different cooling systems are used so as to maintain the temperature of the cells
Experimental Analysis of Factors Affecting the Power Output of the PV Module IJECEIAES
Energy is the driving force in all the sectors as it acts like an index of standard of living or prosperity of the people of the country. However heavy dependence on fossil fuels leads to global warming, hence there is a need for the use of clean, sustainable, and eco friendly form of energy. Among the various types of non-conventional energy solar energy is the fundamental as it is abundant, pollution free and universally available.Even though the main input to the PV system is the solar radiation still there are other factors which affects the efficiency of the pv module. In this paper real time experiment has been conducted to analyze the effect of various factors like irradiance, temperature, and angle of tilt, soiling, shading on the power output of the pv module. Temperature is a negative factor which reduces the efficiency of the module and can be reduced by various cooling arrangements. Presence of dust particles and shading obstructs the incident solar radiations entering the panel and the effect is seen in the iv and pv curve .For better performance solar tracking at maximum power point is suggested to improve the power output of the pv module.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
