Abstract:- The heat rejected from an internal combustion engine is dumped into the atmosphere as waste heat. If this waste heat energy is tapped and converted into usable energy, the overall efficiency of an engine can be improved. The percentage of energy rejected to the environment through exhaust gas is approximately 30-40%.The thermoelectric generators are used for power generation . Thermoelectric modules which are used in thermoelectric generators are solid state devices that are used to convert thermal energy from a temperature gradient to electrical energy and it works on basic principle of Seebeck effect. The objective of this project is to include fin effect to increase cooling rate , to reduce the temperature by increasing the temperature difference and to use long fin and avoid accumulation of heat in between fins . The TEG system is directly connected to the exhaust pipe and the amount of electricity generated by the thermoelectric material is directly proportional to their heated area . The materials used in TEG are Bi2Te3 - Bismuth Telluride and PbTe - Lead Telluride . A Comparison and Sustainability Analysis of Solar Thermal ReceiversPratish Rawat
Solar Thermal receivers are major component in applications, such as solar water heater for generating hot water for commercial and domestic purpose, solar space heating, concentrating solar power, or solar assist heating, ventilation and air conditioning. There are evacuated tubes and aerogel based solar receivers. A receiver should ideally absorb and convert incident sunlight into heat. For high efficiency receiver should not loss much heat out of its boundary. However, some radiation and convection heat loss occur in every receiver. In this paper comparative analysis of two type high efficiency receiver, evacuated tube and aerogel receivers has been done based on the parameters like sustainability, effectiveness, efficiency, and life cycle. A mathematical model of each receiver has been developed with other comparison parameter. Upon analysis it could be predict that aerogel receiver more sustainable and overall impact than vacuum or evacuated type receiver. Aerogel receiver also gives flexibility of design, geometry and temperature.

In the current work, a thermoelectric power generation system was designed for an assessment of opportunities in terms of electricity production through the utilization of waste heat from sugarcane industries. In this study, the thermoelectric cooling of TEC1-12708T200 was appropriate for use in electric power generation from low-grade heat sources. The experiments used ten thermoelectric modules and an aluminum water block installed on the exterior surface area of a sugar boiler to achieve the same water flow as a traditional system. The results revealed that the power generation system could generate about 30 W (25.7 V, 1.17 A) at a matched load of approximately 36.8 Ω. The thermoelectric power generation system could convert 12.5% of heat energy into electrical energy. Therefore, the thermoelectric power generation system designed in this study could be an effective alternative for waste heat recovery in sugarcane industries.

Initial Development of an Electrical Power Generator by using Thermoelectric ...IJECEIAES
Electrical energy is important in various developments to ensure global stability. However, most electrical energy sources are non-renewable and these sources are expected to be depleted in the near future. In order to solve this problem, research on renewable energy sources are intensified and thermoelectric generator (TEG) is one of the potential solutions. TEG can generate electricity if the there is a temperature difference between the hot end and cold end of its plate and it is widely used in various applications, ranging from high temperature of a steam generator until to the lowest temperature of a human body. The initial development of this work focuses on the electrical power generator design by using focal lens to focus sunlight, a form of renewable energy, on the TEG hot end and also underground heat dissipation system on the cold end to create temperature difference. The initial results showed that the amount of power produced by the system is quite small but reasonable due to the type of TEGs used. However, the heat dissipation system showed a promising development due to its nondependency on external energy to expel heat from the cold side.
A theoretical analysis on the performance of (Bi2Te3-PbTe) hybrid thermoelectric generator (TEG) is presented in this paper. The effect of different performance parameters such as output voltage, output current, output power, maximum power output, open circuit voltage, Seebeck co-efficient, electrical resistance, thermal conductance, figure of merit, efficiency, heat absorbed and heat removed based on maximum conversion and power efficiency have been analyzed by varying the hot side temperature up to 350oC and by varying the cold side temperature from 30oC to 150oC. The results showed that a maximum power output of 21.7 W has been obtained with the use of one hybrid thermoelectric module for a temperature difference of 320oC between the hot and cold side of the thermoelectric generator at matched load resistance. The figure of merit was found to be around 1.28 which makes its usage possible in the intermediate temperature (250oC to 350oC) applications such as heating of Biomass waste, heat from Biomass cook stoves or waste heat recovery etc. It is also observed that the hybrid thermoelectric generator offers superior performance over 250oC of the hot side temperature, compared to standard Bi2Te3 modules.
The usage of thermoelectric generator as a renewable energy sourceTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Currently thermoelectric generators (TEG) are widely used in biomedical, military and space satellite power applications. TEG of high power plants are mostly used in automobile and industrial engines. This paper discusses TEG as a renewable energy source. Here the TEG in the application is used in the thermoelectric generator power plant. The working principle of this thermoelectric generator is on the heat side of the TEG peltier which is coated in metal in the form of aluminum, which is heated by a heater. And the cold side of the TEG Peltier is placed on the heat sink (as a heat dissipation metal). Heatsinks are submerged in water which are submerged about half or more. If the temperature of the metal being heated and the temperature of heat dissipation metal have a certain difference, then the temperature difference causes TEG to start working. The greater the temperature difference, the greater the electrical energy produced will be. However, if the temperature difference is too large it will damage the bismuth semiconductor material used. After TEG starts working it will produce voltage and current.

In recent past days, big deal of the automobile industry's RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT Practicing on improving overall efficiency of vehicle. It has brought a major interest in the field of making internal combustion engines highly efficient 1 . In past days, only 25 30 energy is used in the vehicle and rest is exposed to surroundings. The useful energy is used to run the engine as well as generator. So the efficiency of those engine were very less. But the efficiency can be improved by utilizing waste heat that is exhaust of vehicle. One of the best technology that was found to be useful for this purpose were thermoelectric generator. In this, we study and investigated the use of thermoelectric generator for power production 2 . Thermoelectric generator works by imparting exhaust's gas stream on its surface and small D.C. electric current developed due to difference in temperature across heat exchanger that is put in the pathway of exhaust gas i.e. working on seebeck effect principle. An output Voltage of 200mV was generated using a single Bi2Te3 thermoelectric module for a temperature difference of about 40o C which can be used in charging battery, headlight, G.P.S. systems, etc. Such that it can reduce the level of alternator's frictional power that is used to save fuel and also in automotive industry to increase the efficiency of engine 1 . It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.
