1. INTRODUCTION –
DR. JOSEFINA B. BITONIO
I am honored to introduce to you our
Guest of hoofer today’s Provincial Coop
Month Celebration / that I believe, is
very familiar to the fellow Coop leaders
in the Province. //
She is known for her invaluable contributions / and spectacular
performance in the Cooperative Industry in Region 1 in particular,/ and in
the whole country in general.
Our guest is a woman of virtue and simplicity / bundled with a Cooperative
heart- a complete package to become a Director.// As a Director, among
her many tasks is to exercise administrative and functional supervisions
overall Extension Office (EO) personnel;//Plan, implement and monitor the

2. programs/projects in line with the National goals and objectives of the
CDA;//Assist / supervise education and training program for cooperative
development in the Region. Most importantly, she leads her team to
become effective and efficient in providing the needs of cooperatives in
the region.//
With such that I am confident to say / that our guest of honor for today’s
gathering is a living inspiration to us, Cooperative leaders.
Who she is, may not be a surprise. For she is known for her virtues, values
and experiences / that was developed and nurtured in her, in her
exposure to the different cooperative formations / as well as during her
education at the University of Southern Mindanao Kabacan, North
Cotabato where she took up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, she also
studied in UP-Los Banos, Laguna and took up Degree in Crop Production.
She finished her Masters in Devt Management at Pangasinan State
University and then finished her Doctorate in Public Administration at
Luzon Colleges, Dagupan City.
She started working with CDA in year 1991 as Coop Devt Specialist II / and
because of her dedication and hard work to the cooperative sector /and
with her impressive background,//she rose through the ranks and became
one of the most loved Regional Director of Region 1.
Aside from having a cooperative heart, our Guest of Honor’s first love is
agriculture where she first became Agricultural Technologist of the
Department of Agriculture and Farm Management Technologist for couple
of years.
She received Distinguished Award on Women in Cooperatives, 2009, and
was chosen as CDA’s Most Outstanding Employee in Regional level,
Outstanding DA Employee. She likewise received foreign scholarships, in

3. Russia, USA, Thailand, Israel, and Malaysia and was sent for Foreign
Trainings.
However, amidst such tremendous achievements, our speaker remained
as humble as she is. She was guided with this principle that says;
Ladies and gentlemen, our guest of honor for this event..Our beloved CDA
Regional Director ..Dr. Josefina B. Bitonio.
