In the present busy days constant monitoring of the
patient’s body parameters such as temperature and heart
beat rate etc..becomes difficult .Hence to remove the
burden of monitoring patients health from doctor’s head,
This project presents the methodology for monitoring
patients remotely using GSM and embedded
technology.
ABSTRACT :-
 This patient monitoring system is composed of two
parts, which are portable remote medical monitoring
unit and the monitoring center.
In this project, we propose a remote medical
monitoring system for heartbeat rate & temperature
data.
 monitoring center is a station which consists of real
time analysis and a warning mechanism for emergency
and diagnosis.

HARDWARE TOOLS :-
 LCD DISPLAY
 HEART BEAT
SENSOR
 GSM SIM MODEM
 VOLTAGE REGULATOR
 TEMPERATURE
SENSOR
POWER SUPPLY
 MICRO
CONTROLLER
Lpc2148
SOFTWARE TOOLS :-
KEIL SOFTWARE
PROTEOUS SOFTWARE
FLASH MAGIC
EMBEDDED C
ADVANTAGES :-
It is highly accurate and reliable.
Monitoring save the life and protect the health.
It helps in faster detection of input sensors.
It will reduce the extra consumption of electricity.
The sensors are costly.
If power supply fails circuit won’t work.
DISADVANTAGES:-
APPLICATIONS :-
It can be operated remotely by interfacing a
GSM modem system.
It can be used in ICU’s , operation theaters,
monitoring of oxygen levels etc.
It can be also used in old age homes to monitor
the various parameters of a sick person in old
age homes.
 The whole health monitoring system, which we have
proposed can be integrated into a small compact unit as small
as a cell phone or a wrist watch.
 This will help the patients to easily carry this device with
them wherever they go.
