4. System Requirements
The system requires a client-server architecture where
a server is necessary to host the application and the
database .The users will access the server to retrieve
information from their desktops through their web-
based interfaces. For this to work, the following will be
required.

• Processor Pentium III, Pentium IV or higher
• RAM 64 Mb or Higher
• LAN Ethernet 1 Mbps.

• Database: Apache 2.0 as web server

• These requirements are described as the constraints
on the services the system provides and they
include;
• Users must login in order to access the system
resources.
• All staff who intend to use the system should
undergo training.

8. Tables & forms
The database consists of several tables; patient, doctor,
staff and bill etc. The ‘patient’ table consists of the
basic data about the patient. ‘doctor’ consists of the
information about doctor. The table ‘staff’ consists of
the information regarding the staff(employee, nurse).
And finally, ‘bill’ table records the fee data of patient.
All the can be either edit or delete.

20. Conclusion
• The project Hospital Management System (HMS) is for
computerizing the working in a hospital. The software
takes care of all the requirements of an average
hospital and is capable to provide easy and effective
storage of information related to patients that come up
to the hospital.
• It generates test reports; provide prescription details
including various tests, check-up and medicines
prescribed to patient and doctor. It also provides
injection details and billing facility.
• The system also provides the facility of backup as per
the requirement.
