The Understanding Of Global Diversity
Guyana The world can be a very diverse place it is composed of many different individuals, places,
cultures, religions, and languages. People fear what they don t understand. Fear paired with a lack of
knowledge is a breeding ground for violence. A lack of Knowledge and understanding of others is a
major contributor of many past wars that has been spawned. The understanding of global diversity
helps the United States Military build strong relationships with neighboring countries and encourages
peace around the world. Guyana is on the northeastern portion of South America, the Atlantic Ocean
borders the countries north, while Suriname borders the east, Venezuela borders the northwest, on the
south and southwest is Brazil. The capital city is Georgetown. In an area of 83,000 square miles
(212,000 square kilometers), Majority of the population of Guyana reside within the coastal belt,
which is below sea level. Guyana is comprised of four major physical features the coastal region,
interior savannah region, highland region, and the hilly sandy clay belt. Each region may have similar
characteristics but they are not the same. The land dictates how people in these areas will maintain
survival. The Coastal Region of Guyana is home to about 90percent of the population ( Climate

Essay about Orson Welles The Magnificent Ambersons
The biggest mistake we have made is to consider that films are primarily a form of entertainment. The
film is the greatest medium since the invention of movable type for exchanging ideas and information,
and it is no more at its best in light entertainment than literature is at its best in the light novel. Orson
Welles
Orson Welles was passionate about film. By the young age of 25, he had directed, produced, and
starred in what is today considered by most to be the greatest movie ever made, Citizen Kane. About a
year later, Welles began work on his next film project, The Magnificent Ambersons. Based on the
novel of the same name by Booth Tarkington, The Magnificent Ambersons tells the story of a falling
aristocratic family in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Welles wrote the script of The Ambersons in nine days (McBride 53).
The film was to be financed by the production company RKO/ Mercury. A major problem arouse with
the budget before shooting began. Because of the shrinking international film market, RKO had set a
maximum budget in Welles contract of $600,000 for The Magnificent Ambersons (Higham213). Also,
according to the arrangement that RKO had made with its bank, no film from the studio was ever to
exceed $750,000. A pre budget estimate of Ambersons came close to one million dollars. Pared down
to more details in its final form just before shooting, the film looked as if it would still cost in excess
of $850,000. Permission to proceed with production was eventually granted, but with strict rules to
Welles to bring the cost down to under the $750,000 figure (Higham 214).
The Magnificent Ambersons is a Historical Epic Drama based on a time almost 70 years prior to its
making. In order to cast the film, Welles read a delineation of the characters Tarkington had given in a
1917 issue of Metropolitan Magazine (Brady 316).
The silent star Dolores Costello was brought out of retirement to play Isabel Amberson. Welles also
made the surprising choice of selecting contract player Tim Holt for the role of George Minafer. Holt
was considered a mistake by most

Exploring the Reasons for Differences in Educational...
Exploring the Reasons for Differences in Educational Achievement Between Different Ethnic Groups
I believe that this is an important issue to consider as research has shown that whilst Afro Caribbean
males are at the very bottom in terms of achievement, West Indian females tend to do even better than
white females at GCSE. Sociologists such as Cecil Wright link educational achievement with teacher
racism and labelling whilst other sociologists such as Charlotte Brookes link it with cultural
deprivation: issues concerned with ethnicity. Ethnic groups contain people who share a common
history, custom, identity and in most cases language and religion. The issue of differences in

Cecil Wright 1992 noted of teacher labelling, [Afro Caribbean] hold expectations of bad behaviour
along with disapproval, punishment and teacher insensitivity to racism . She also affirmed that of
primary school children, Rastafarians in particular were perceived as a threat to classroom
management and often treat more harshly.
Sociologist Bernard Coard (1971) used impressionistic evidence and personal experience to prove his
hypothesis The education system makes black children become educationally subnormal by making
them feel inferior in every way . Following his research he found that the word white is associated
with good and the word black with evil , especially in children s books. Furthermore he noted that
books often only contain white people and black music, art and culture are absent from the
curriculum. I believe that his research completely supports his hypothesis as it is inevitable that some
young children that associate black will evil will resent black children and therefore they attract
hostility from other children which makes their school life extremely unpleasant.

Campus Stadium Case
The resurgence of Temple University s football program has lead the school wanting a $126 million,
35,000 seat stadium in the heart of North Philadelphia. The surrounding community outcry, skeptical
legislators and a summer leadership crisis forced Temple s president, Neil Theobald, to step down.
Since Theobald was the driving force behind the stadium, Temple has no clear timeline to bring a
proposal to City Hall. The Owls have paid rent since 2003 to play at Lincoln Financial Field, home of
the Philadelphia Eagles. To build its own campus stadium, Temple needs legislation passed by City
Council. Although a stadium would bring a vibrant buzz to the campus, difficult obstacles stand in the
way of North Philadelphia seeing a stadium in their backyard.

First, the North Philadelphia community. Temple occupies a large part of North Philadelphia, and the
largely black population has long been concerned about being shoved out by rising rents and an
expanding university footprint. Temple wants to build across the street from an elementary school, a
home for the elderly, and many row homes. Resident s also worry about the traffic and parking
shortages that could jam streets with drunk tailgaters. As another stakeholder in this case, Temple
University pays rent to use the Lincoln Financial Field that will triple from $1 million per year to $3
million starting in 2018. By building its own facility through donations, loans and grants. Temple won
t have to pay 3 million in rent. Of course the Temple students are a stakeholder in this case. The

Why Math Is Important For Teaching Mathematics And How...
Math Philosophy Paper Math is developing concepts or standards that s important for teaching
mathematics to students from Pre K to high school. In our changing world, those who understand and
can do mathematics will have significant opportunities and options for shaping their future. (NCTM
2000, p.50). The two important tools to be an effective teacher is knowledge of mathematics and how
students learn mathematics. The purposes of math education effect our life since the time we were
able to walk. We were taught how to count on our fingers to being able to write our numbers to ten.
Then as we got older, concepts were more challenging and involved critical thinking to solve the
problems. In society today, math is being utilized in simple to complex avenues such as grocery
shopping, measuring, budgeting, investments, architecture, science and technology to name a few. If
we take a look around our environment signs, buildings, bridges, streets and just the different patterns
and shapes all relate back to mathematics. My role as a math teacher in the classroom would be
creating an inviting math environment for my students, being able to explain math to all my students
in ways that they understand and model math in an effective way. I want to be a leader, share my
knowledge, engage and challenge my students, support them, respect them, be positive and keep them
interested in math. The qualities I would have as an effective teacher is the knowledge and skills and

Readers might infer a double meaning from this book s title. It could refer to the gaze of tourists and
also to the tourist, Gaze. This would be Henry
Gaze, a tourist who went into business and helped pioneer the modern form of tour operations, like his
contemporary,
Thomas Cook (two names symbolizing features of the tourism industry: sightseeing and food?).
Unlike Cook,
Gaze has been relatively neglected in the literature, although coordinated advertising by the two ...

The concept of the tourist gaze attempts to do this . . . [by] categorising objects of the gaze in terms of
romantic/collective, historical/modern, authentic/inauthentic (p. 135). This chapter has a detailed
treatment of visual images in modern cites, mainly Paris. The discussion might have been improved if
it had used
Schivelbusch s (1980) material on 19th century
Paris and the links between travel, technology, and urban imagery.
The Tourist Gaze provides a number of interesting perspectives that amount to more than an
introduction to the sociology of tourism. It covers many topics and examples in its 176 pages, which
means most get only superficial treatment. The limited depth also means that certain points are
potentially misleading. Moreover, the book sometimes gives the impression of flitting from source to
source and from field to field, missing points that deeper and longer research may have revealed.
Certain points about New Zealand, for instance, indicate superficial knowledge, to the detriment of the
arguments.
Discussing facilities for accommodation, meals, drink, and entertainment, the book notes that outside
the four major cites [of New Zealand] there are almost no such facilities (p. 46). In fact, according to
official surveys conducted by
A. G. B. Research, more than 70% of total tourist nights in New Zealand in the 1980s (60 million

Mr. Walsh, the plaintiff s attorney, is presenting the issue of actual knowledge of intoxication. Mr.
Walsh is arguing against summary judgment based on two reasons. First, Indiana Courts have held
that when a reasonable inference of evidence and circumstances of a case could result in more than
one conclusion, summary judgment is inappropriate. Second, the jury could infer that the bartender
had actual knowledge of the visible intoxication of Mr. Hard when he last served him alcohol. Ms.
Babot is arguing against summary judgment based on approximate cause due to three reasons. First,
there are reasonable inferences that a jury could make in favor of the plaintiff. Second, the injuries to
Mrs. White were the reasonable and foreseeable consequences of serving an intoxicated patron.
Thirdly, a criminal can be the intervening act that does not break the chain of causation because the act
is reasonably foreseeable. Ms. Babot listed four factors that a judge has to look at when considering
approximate. What and how much alcohol was consumed, what is the amount of time it was served in,
the conditions of the patron before leaving the bar, and the condition of the patron immediately after
leaving (03/28/85 SUSAN J. ASHLOCK v. ROBERT F. NORRIS

Negative Aspects Of Globalization In Developing Countries
Globalisation is a worldwide movement which integrates economic, financial, trade and commerce
from different countries. It has influenced communication between countries and brought them
together. It made countries more interdependent and interconnected with free transfer of goods and
services across national frontiers.
Globalisation can have lots of benefits on western societies such as implies the opening of the local to
a broader outlook (Angelasancartier.net.2017). Globalisation also involves culture spread, and the
process of globalisation happens through the media, consumer goods and western consumer lifestyle
(ThoughtCo.2017). These lead to a fashion sold for western societies by giant retailers who can update
inventory and make transnational trade deals (Angelasancartier.net.2017). The opening market and
culture diffusion also make people who consuming is actually more focus on the corporate brand or
logo such as Nike, Victoria s Secret and Adidas than the clothing itself.
Globalisation has been one of the most hotly debated topics in international economics (Forbes.com,
2017). Rapid growth and poverty reduction has been a positive aspect of globalisation on developing
countries like China and Africa. Increasing globalisation has helped the expansion of opportunities for
nations and benefits workers inrich. Globalisation is a process of opening up economics so that trade
between countries could take place freely (Digit Pro.2017). The negative aspect of globalisation

Comparing Adam And Eve In Islam And Christianity
Adam and Eve in Islam and Christianity The Bible and the Quran tell the story of the creation of the
first man, Adam and first women Eve or in Arabic Hawa. The background behind Adam And Eve are
similar but different in Islam and Christianity. It begins by telling the people how the world started and
how we as humans were created. Christians believe that Adam was made from dust, Muslims believe
that Adam was made from Soil. In the Bible, the creation of Eve says she was the only woman created
from a man. The Qur an does not say that Eve was created from Adam s rib, but says that she was
created from of like nature. The creation of Eve is not described in the Quran. The Quran says that
Eve was created for Adam to have a mate and that she was also made from the same nature and soul.
Direct quote from the Quran about woman Treat women kindly. Woman has been created from a rib
and the most curved part of the rib is the uppermost. If you try to straighten it, you will break it and if
you leave it alone, it will remain curved. So, treat women kindly (Al Bukhari and Muslim). The rib
reflects that all women differed from Adam and was unique. The bible describes Eve made from
Adams rib to be Adams companion. Directly quoted from the bible And the rib that the Lord God had
taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man (Genesis 2:22). They were both
made to fulfill each other and to not be alone on earth. The similarity of the two religions is that they

Smartmart Executive Summary
The various stakeholders of the company are:
The shareholders, consumers or customers, global and local suppliers, employees, environmentalists,
FDA and other government bodies.
Above strategy would develop trust in shareholders as it will generate long term profit for the
company by aligning company s mission of healthier and sustainable organic product to the
consumers. Also, this strategy will eliminate any competition from CSA s and increase its market
share in the organic food domain. The consumers or the customers will continue to be loyal towards
SmartMart as they will get quality product with proper attention from SmartMart employees.
Customers will get variety of organic food at one stop shop. This will increase customer satisfaction
and build brand loyalty for SmartMart. The global suppliers for SmartMart might be unhappy as they
might loose supply for the company but tying up with local suppliers such as CSA s will add to variety
of the organic products. The long term ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

documents the obesity problem we have in this country and how McDonald s and other fast food
chains are the ones that mainly contribute to the increasing problem, and exploring the realist
aesthetics of the film goes over the elements of direct address to the camera, handheld camera, on

that the fast food industry, such as McDonald s, Wendy s, KFC and others have over the obesity
problem in America. Morgan Spurlock makes himself a guinea pig and explores the consequences to
his body when only eating McDonald s three times a day for one whole month and he can only super

The Pros And Cons Of Natural Resources
A Corporation can be defined as a legal creation, however the corporation itself, would only exist on a
piece of paper. A corporation will never die a natural death like humans die naturally, and corporations
will always outlive the individual who created it. With that said, the corporation itself is never really
committed to any employee or committed to any neighbor. However, a corporation can always
demand employees, a corporation can always demand taxes that are extremely high, and a corporation
can also restrict environmental laws. Corporations hold a great deal of power in today s society.
History has explained the fact that at one point in time, the earth s natural resources had no limit. Raw
materials were plenty, because of the fact that there were plenty of natural resources to go around.
Natural resources can be identified as the raw materials that comes from the earth and are useful.
Natural resources can never be made by humans. Athough, these raw materials can be modified, or
altered to benefit corporations and businesses. For example, natural resources are fossil fuels like
petroleum, natural gas, and coal. Minerals like diamonds, gold, and copper are natural resources that
come from the earth. Other resources are known as natural vegetation, like forests and timber. Animals
are our earth s natural resources as well, like salmon, deer, whales, chickens, etc. The air we breathe,
and the wind are all also natural resources. Water, like lakes, rivers and

A Brief Note On Diamond Blackfan Anemia ( Dba ) Is A Rare...
Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare genetic disease that causes defects in the ribosomal
structure (Farber, 2016). The disease stems from a decrease in the production of erythroid precursors
in the bone marrow, which results in an extremely low red blood cell count. Due to the reduction in
the production of erythrocytes, most individuals diagnosed with this disease develop an array of issues
that can be life threatening such as a predisposition to cancer and bone marrow failure. Within the first
year of life, most symptoms of DBA will appear in most individuals (Ellis, 2014). The importance of
understanding the genetics of DBA remains a priority in reducing the number of infants affected by a
detrimental hereditary blood disorder.
After the first description of DBA by Josephs, the disease was further studied and analyzed by Louis
Diamond and Kenneth Blackfan in 1938 (Anupama Narla, 2011). Since Diamond and Blackfan
discovered a lot of information on the disease through research, the disease was named after both
doctors. Most of the families affected by DBA appear to pass the genetic mutation in a dominant
manner. Though several genes have been identified in the development of DBA, mutations in the
RPS19 gene has been linked to more cases of DBA. The RPS19 gene helps to produce certain
ribosomal factors that are used in ribonucleic acid processing. Ribosomes are responsible for
producing proteins on a cellular level. This mutation leads to the inability of

Selective Encryption Algorithm for Highly Confidential...
1. Introduction
Conventional cryptographic algorithms, which are generally aimed at encrypting like text data (known
as Naïve approach) not well suited for video encryption. This is due to the fact that conventional
cryptographic algorithms cannot process the large volume of video data in real time. Selective
encryption of the H.264/AVC bitstream puts decoder to fully decode the encrypted video with
degradation in video quality. This perceptual encryption has low encryption and decryption time. The
video data are compressed to reduce the storage space required and to save bandwidth for
transmission. Video compression removes redundancy, so that it is difficult to guess about a portion of
a compressed bitstream to another. In addition, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From an attacker s point of view, brute force attack may break the encryption of sign bit and
level_suffix of the same length. Intra prediction mode has only nine different values (0 8). Hence, the
encryption of intra prediction mode also has the threat of brute force attack. So, the values of
level_suffix with sign bits are encrypted with a higher length of bitstream (6 bits for luma and 4 bits
for chroma), to reduce the threat of brute force attack. However, this affects the compression
bandwidth.
We have also analyzed that without making motion vectors encryption, we can t obtain temporal
redundancy. Motion vector encryptions are proposed by several authors [4 9]. However, analysis
shown in this paper said that 45 50% of motion vectors for each frame are not encrypted. Thus, a
better encryption method is proposed at here in expense with compression bandwidth. Overall, we
should create the balance between security and the increase in compression bandwidth.
Four selective encryption methods are discussed here. A First method named NZs in CAVLC encrypts
level_suffix values with sign bits of up to three lowest frequency non zero DCT coefficients in
CAVLC encoding for all macroblocks. Second method named NZs in CAVLC for I only , which is
same as the first method but encryption is done only in intra coded macroblocks. Third method named

London Research Paper
Have you ever wondered how London and all the beautiful buildings in London came to be?
Beginning with the main history of London, continuing with famous buildings and ending with
famous people from London, this paper will explain some of London s very interesting history.
The name of London came from the Celtic word Londinios, which means the place of the bold one
(Lambert). During the course of the fourth century, Roman empire began to collapse and Christianity
was introduced to the city, but some inhabitants were starting to leave from the city because they did
not wanted to be part of this religion ( Cody). Although this was the beginning of how London started,

In order to deliver a packet, a sender may have to wait for a certain period of time [4] until its receiver
becomes active. Sleep latency degrades the performance (e.g., delay and energy consumption) of
various kinds of data forwarding designs in low duty cycle networks. There are two features that make
flooding in low duty cycle networks challenging. First, a packet is unlikely to be received by multiple
nodes simultaneously as in always awake networks. To broadcast a packet, a sender has to transmit the
same packet multiple times if its receivers do not wake up at the same time. Thus flooding in such
networks is realized essentially by multiple unicasts. Second, unlike wired networks, wireless
communication is notoriously unreliable [4]. A transmission is repeated if the previous transmissions
are not successful due to wireless loss. The combination of low duty cycle operation and unreliable
links necessitates the design of a different flooding mechanism than those found in wired networks
and always awake wireless networks. These combined have a knock on effects on reliability and cost
[4]. One straightforward solution could be building a routing tree for flooding. Yet this type of
solutions have been shown [7] to be fragile, because the failure of a parent node prevents

Alexis De Tocquevilles Jury System
The jury is a magistracy , as described by Alexis de Tocqueville, happens to be one of the greatest
attributes of the democratic system. The jury is a sworn body of people called together to give an
impartial verdict or to even set a penalty or judgement which is submitted to them by a court. In other
words, they are to decide upon the truth or falseness of factual allegations based on the facts that they
have found. In order to weigh up the evidence and decide the accurate facts of the case, the jury has to
apply the law which is directed to them but the judge in order to reach a verdict. The jury system was

Differences On Body And Tissue Weights
Results and Discussion
Body and Tissue Weights
The initial body weight of rats was similar (p value=0.19). At the end of the experimental period, the
HFFr+S rats had a near doubling of visceral fat weight, compared to the control group (6.9±1.1 g vs.
3.4±0.4 g, p value=0.009), while it was slightly and non significantly lower in the other groups,
especially in the rats gavaged with the high dose of metformin (200 mg/kg/day). After 60 days, no
significant differences were found between the groups regarding the final body weight and liver/body
weight percentage (Table 2). This suggests that the excess energy intake of HFFr rats have led to a
greater adiposity, but not to a higher body weight.

City Councilor Case Study
The City Council performs three essential functions: representation, legislation, and oversight. If it
fails to perform these roles adequately, Lewisville loses. By speaking for resident s interests, a City
Councilor bridges the gap between City Hall and the parts of the city that may feel disenfranchised.
By recommending candidates for mayoral appointments, a City Councilor helps ensure that Lewisville
s diverse interests are represented in all areas of city governance. By taking an active role in setting
city priorities, a City Councilor ensures that future plans will benefit as many residents as possible.

homeowners and businesses thousands of dollars. A Councilor must be able to consider creative, but
legal and ethical solutions to reach a positive outcome for all concerned.
To fulfill its oversight and legislative responsibilities, the Council also enacts rules which affect the
quality of life in our neighborhoods. It must be able to perform independent research and to diligently
evaluate the information it receives from the city administration. If we want excellent, efficient

Chomsky And The War On Terror
We live in a day and age of hypocrisy and it seems that a majority don t acknowledge that we are all
total hypocrites. Noam Chomsky, a well known American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist,
logician, political commentator, social justice activist, and anarcho syndicalist advocate does an
elaborate job in his speech given at Harvard University, to make us question if there really is a war on
terror. Chomsky calls everybody a hypocrite and uses the U.S. Army Manual definition of terrorism to
argue that there can t be a war on terrorism because the U.S. is also a terrorist group itself. We can t
fight something if we ourselves do that same thing. Chomsky backs up his claim with many pieces of
evidence and facts about the U.S. involvement with terrorist actions. His argument is well put because
it does a good job in making us understand what is really happening with the U.S. and the war on
terror.
People are probably thinking Chomsky must be crazy, to call America a terrorist group. Americans
view America as a nation that fights terror and fail to look at all the reports and articles about the U.S.
actually doing acts that are defined to be terrorist acts. If you love America, then you must know about
the great document called The Declaration of Independence. It was written by one of our founding
fathers, Thomas Jefferson. People back in the day looked at Jefferson as a crazy person as well when
he wrote the document. How could he address a new type of governing and

Essay on Fear in Journey s End by RC Sheriff
Fear in Journey s End
The definition of fear is a feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of
danger. Fear is reflected by the continual tension throughout the play. All the characters deal with fear
in their own different ways. This reflects their personality and gives us an outline of how they really
deal with the troubles, which arise during their experiences in a dangerous surrounding, and also, by
dealing with the outcomes that they have to face in life. Stanhope deals with pain and fear through
expressing his anger and also by his drinking habits. Hibbert deals with fear by trying to run away
from it. Osborne talks about unnecessary topics, such as rugby, to hide his fears. Throughout the ...

An example of Stanhope being in a situation like this, where he becomes very stressed out, is with the
situation with Hibbert wanting to leave,
No man of mine s going sick before the attack. They re going to take an equal chance together.
Due to Stanhope having to deal with this problem, he is put under a lot of stress, trying to persuade
Hibbert to stay. Even the thought that one of his men want to leave, without achieving anything,
disappoints him, therefore making him more fretful and therefore more vulnerable to drinking alcohol.
Stanhope deals with his fears by expressing indiscriminative anger towards the rest of the soldiers. He
goes out of control. Such as in
Act 2 Scene 2, Stanhope releases his own aggression at Hibbert because of what he fears. All of this
started when Hibbert tried to run away from the trenches. Hibbert complained that he was terribly ill,
This neuralgia of mine. I m awfully sorry. I m afraid I cant stick it any longer,
and forces himself to the doctors in order to run away from fighting at war. This makes Stanhope
extremely angry; knowing that one of his soldiers is giving up instead of achieving anything. Stanhope
has had to go through many hard times while at war, and knowing that Hibbert has had it easy, makes
him furious. Therefore, he holds a gun to
Hibbert and threatens to shoot if he leaves,

Idly standing on a busy street corner, one cannot help but observe a plethora of denim whiz by.
Entrepreneur Levi Strauss is the man responsible for creating the booming market and generating a
trend in clothing that has swept the nation for nearly 150 years. Through a steady commitment of
quality and reliable service, Levi Strauss Company became one of the most successful business
ventures to come out of the 19th century. However, history for this company has not been all peaches
and cream. Nearly every business must face crisis from time to time, but it is the unique ability of Levi

Critical junctions of the Levi Strauss Corporation included additions to the company, shifts in power,
new products, markets and ideas. Some made progress, while others caused digression. One example
is of tailor Jacob Davis, who proved to be a defining point in Levi âs success. In 1873, Strauss
accepted Davis idea of adding metal rivets to the pockets of his pants, thus making them stronger. His
riveted pants were a smashing success, (Gromer 94). This addition, as tiny as it was, greatly impacted
the company. Within a year, 20,000 pairs of these jeans were made (Goldish 34). Until his death in
1902, Levi Strauss continued to improve the quality and appearance of his products. Trademark
additions still present today include two orange arcs sewn into the back pockets and a leather patch of,
two horses trying to pull apart a pair of Levi s jeans. The company wanted to show just how tough it s

how World War II was fought makes the reader instantly believe that Slaughterhouse Five is a very

The Englishman touched him exploratorily here and there, filled with pity. My God, what have they

Englishman. Yes, said Billy. And your rank? Private. What became of your boots, lad? I don t

as depicted in the movies at the time. Their journey gets even worse when they are captured by the
Germans and put in a prisoner camp:
Billy was marching with his hands on top of his head, and so were all the other Americans. Billy was

Analysis Of The City Of God
#2
Mr. Knerr
HWC 4
16 November, 2017
The City of God in God s Country? Every human is called to own two identities. The people of Rome,
known to have had their feet planted firmly in materialism and worldly pleasure, believed their empire
fell due to the punishment of their gods upon the converted/increasingly Christian nation. Augustine, a
bishop of Hippo, recorded his thoughts into his book The City of God to answer questions the
Romans, including Christians, had been asking about the momentous fall of the Roman Empire.
Orosius, Augustine s pupil, contrasted with his teacher on certain viewpoints of the City of God and
the City of Man. While Augustine believes that the City of God is misrepresented on Earth, Orosius
believes that God chooses certain nations to represent Him in the City of Man. The work of Augustine
and Orosius provide proper context for the dual citizen by recognizing failure in representation,
understanding the meaning of being chosen , and realizing the true meaning of a dual citizen in the
City of God and City of Man. Augustine s belief that prosperous earthly cities such as the United
States and Rome are not like the City of God supports an accurate illustration of a proper Christian
understanding of dual citizenship . The United States is not an example of the City of God because of
its lack of upholding Christian values. In Excerpts from Augustine s City of God , Augustine displays
the values of the two cities of dual citizenship . He

Essay on Shakespeare
William Shakespeare often examines the personal transformation of characters in his works. His
frequent illustrations of changing players most likely suggests that he is a true believer in the idea of
people being able to emotionally grow. Moreso, the author essentially endorses the thought of
developing humanity as a living being. Parallel to King Richard in Richard II, he illustrates many
characters throughout his works whom undergo similar personal growth. Oftentimes these personal
changes occur when a character suffers great loss in life. In this particular play these changes give the
readers a chance to develop a bit of fondness in the once ignorant king. Most readers would normally
accept positive changes within the mind and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This proves to be one of his first statements that allow the reader to view his belief in divine rights to
rule, and that he simply loves the authority that has been given to him. Richard realizes that for either
man to win, it would not be in his best personal interest. He proceeds to banish both Bolingbroke and
Mowbray, which portrays his dismissive attitude. Thus, he does not want to actually deal with any
occurring problems that he is supposed to, but simply hold the title of king and flatter his supporters
(who are, in turn, out to overrule him). Being the pinnacle of hierarchy in his country, he does nothing
to help with the problems that are arising. Instead of implementing ways to help people he pouts and
whines, which obviously do not help the reader to respond positively towards him. Another example
of his belief in divine rights is shown by his repetitive reference to himself as we. Richard states, We
were not born to sue, but to command; which since we cannot do to make you friends. (2.1.196 197).
The we reference is merely the metaphysical expression for his office as king (essentially godlike) or
both man and majesty fused as one. In the first act there are a handful of phrases where Richard s
name is juxtaposed by proceeding God of Heavens. This is to further reinforce the concept of his
divinity as the King. Richard believes himself to be immortal and this is why his tainted decisions to
sit back and do nothing result in personal

Flat Tax System Essays
The current tax system is extremely complicated and punishes those who are successful by taxing
people more than the average citizens. If flat tax were to be in the United States it would create
fairness within the economy and be less complicated. Flat tax would not punish people for having
higher income; instead flat tax would create equality to all tax payers. The taxpayers would not be
complaining to the neighbors or their close relatives about their tax rates and how different they are
from each other. Despite the fact that federal employees would be out of jobs, the United States should
have flat tax implemented because flat tax spans all income brackets of taxpayers and would have low
rates with no deductions or exemptions. A flat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People can have more of what they earn and not worry about getting taxed too much. Even though,
flat tax will have federal employees out of jobs it is still a good idea to have flat tax. Flat tax is good
because in addition to the income tax, the federal government imposes payroll tax, death tax, and a
slew of excises. The New Flat Tax replaces them all for individuals, families, and businesses with one
tax system with one tax rate of roughly 28 percent (The New Flat Tax: Encourages Growth and Job
Creation). This is a good because they pay more attention on people and their family and where they
work. Flat tax is also good because the new flat tax retains the Earned Income Credit to preserve the
level of income support for low wage workers. And low and middle income families also receive a tax
credit of $3,000 ($2,500 for singles) toward the purchase of health insurance (The New Flat Tax:
Encourages Growth and Job Creation). This is good because people who need to go to the doctor or
get medication can help them with the extra money they have. The most important reason is flat tax
would give taxpayers incentive to earn more because they would not be penalized with a higher tax
bracket. Flat tax encourages economic growth by avoiding a system in which you are penalized in
higher taxes for being productive and earning more money (Mitchell). This supports it because people
get to keep more of their money when they work for it

Nature Versus Nurture Has Been A Big Debate In The Past
Nature versus nurture has been a big debate in the past few years. Debates and arguments from both
sides has its own statements which makes their side stronger. Some argue that it is in the genetics if a
person is intelligent where some state the opposite, that surroundings make a person intelligent which
improves them in a person mentally and physically. In the 1950s psychologist Harry Harlow studied
the effects of maternal deprivation on the development of baby monkeys. Some philosophers such as
Plato and Descartes suggested that certain things are inborn (Saul McLeod, 2007), or that they occur
naturally regardless of environmental influences. Other examples of nature debates were Bowlby s

The dizygotic twins show a higher correlation than their other siblings even when reared apart
supporting the theory that nature does have a major influence on human intelligence. Nurture
intelligence is another factor which is still unfolded. Some believe that upbringing a child in a proper
environment can effect their mood, body and their views towards to world. If someone s brought up in
an environment where he or she gets all the facilities and necessities of daily life, it will help through
the entire life, in saying that if the person receives the correct surroundings, family support, supportive
friends circle, it can help them throughout the journey of life. Family habits, interests and company of
good people as mentioned above will leave a significant effect on the person s development. The
nature theory holds the genetic influence over abstract traits however, the environmental factors are
the real origins of our behaviour. We want to be according to the environment around us. At the end
we are still confused which way is right nature or nurture since both sides have valid reasons to be
right. Some traits come to us by genes and some we experience through travelling and experiencing
different situations in our lifetime, which is a proven fact. Nurture helps shape our intelligence in the

Seattle, Washington, in 1960. At age 25, he used all his savings to purchase the unsuccessful business.
He spent the next 20 years running the Pike Place Fish Market, but he says in retrospect that he treated
his employees more like objects or collateral than human beings. He made a living, but his business
did not thrive. Finally, he realized his thoughts, feelings and attitudes were hindering his success.
This was the changing point. Yokoyama hired a consultant, Jim Bergquist, who helped him understand
how his thoughts, attitudes and actions limited his store s development and his employees potential.
Bergquist helped Yokoyama make powerful changes in his approach. They created a safe environment
for employees to express themselves openly and honestly, breaking down traditional communication
barriers and implementing peer coaching. Yokoyama and his staff began to envision how they could
make a real difference in the lives of other people through their business, far beyond anything they had

Involvement In Vietnam
Vietnam, January 31, 1968. The Vietcong and the North Vietnamese army has just launched a large
surprise attack on the U.S and South Korea during the holiday of Tet, engaging in over 120 cities and
U.S occupied bases throughout South Vietnam and Cambodia. This large offensive was led by Ho Chi
Minh and other leaders in the North. Their goal: to weaken U.S. forces to wean off from guerilla
attacks and carpet bombings in the North. They never knew that this historical attack would become
an important role in weakening U.S. public support for the war in Vietnam. Therefore, the Tet
Offensive was a major turning point in the Vietnam War regarding public support. Involvement in
Vietnam had gradually increased over time even before the major turning ... Show more content on

In just six months after the offensive, public support was dropped down to about 40%. The attack
became apparent to the majority of the public that we were still far from winning this was and that our
enemies were still not going to give up. The lack of public support then became a problem for
President Johnson and Westmoreland to take back the offensive in the war. In just two months after
the attack, President Johnson announced that bombing would not take place below the 20th parallel
which saved North Vietnam 90% of their territory so supplies and men could be moved with ease. The
aftermath also killed a lot of morale for the troops and many of them would contribute to fragging
which is when they would kill their officer. Towards the end of the war, President Johnson was not
able to grant Westmoreland s request for 200,000 more troops. He also cut the line down where 19
miles past Cambodia, the neighboring country of North and South Vietnam, U.S. infantryman were
not allowed to advance past that point. This made winning the war even harder when restrictions were
being put. Finally, it got to the point where only South Vietnamese were allowed to fight as
infantrymen and the U.S. could only provide air support and transportation. Unfortunately, many
South Vietnamese had little to no

customers loyal to the business Cadbury introduce new products to the market as this helps, to
increase both competition and keep customers interested in Cadbury products.
However finding a product that will be successful in the market is time consuming and a lot of hard

Snaps product life cycle
I am now going to try to identify the product life cycle stage of
Cadburys snaps, I think that Cadburys snaps is in between two stages: the second stage of its product
life cycle, this stage is known as the growth and development stage and the third stage which is known
as the maturity and competition stage. This is because Snaps have now been launched in the market
and also it has been advertised through the television programme coronation street, this helps snaps to
be well known to the customers and potential customers. Because it is being advertised the product is
in the third stage of its product life cycle advertisement also increases competition in the market.
How snaps fit in to the Boston Matrix
I think that Cadburys snaps are cash cows in the market as the product is still new to the customers
and it will take time for the snaps to settle into the market

The Similarities Between Star Wars And Religion
The science fiction film, Star Wars, has a had a significant impact on modern culture today as it relates
to Greek mythology and religion. The popular film created by George Lucas uses many symbols to
demonstrate the similarities between the movie and culture, such as the Tusken Raiders and the Nio.
Fortunately, Star Wars stays open to all religions, allowing for different interpretations of all
characters. The concepts presented in the movie allow for all viewers to further their knowledge of
religion and understand the past in a more logical way.
A similarity between Star Wars and religion are heralds and R2 D2. A herald was someone who
carried a message, sometimes causing an adventure to begin. In the religion of Christianity, Matthew
was a herald because he shared how Jesus, rejected by Israel, sent the disciples to preach the gospel to
the world. In Star Wars, R2 D2 delivered the message that Princess Leia was in trouble and she needed
help from Obi Wan Kenobi. This lead Luke Skywalker on an adventure to figure out who Obi Wan
Kenobi was and why Princess Leia was in trouble. Therefore, both heralds and R2 D2 represent the
messengers needed in order for a quest to unfold.
Another comparison between Star Wars and religion are the Nio and the Tusken Raiders. According to
Japanese tradition, the Nio were a group of guards that protected the Buddhist temples from those
trying to enter. Today, two muscular structures stand in front of some of the Buddhist temples in East

Homosexuality Portrayed in Literature: Threat To Yourself and Those Around You
The Victorian era and Elizabethan era had many homophobic attributes, just as today s society does.
Gothic writers of the Victorian Age played off of the fear and immorality of homosexuality and used
those feelings as a basis for their novels. Bram Stoker told a story about a vampire that challenged the
Victorian gender roles and managed to reverse them, making men faint like women, and making
women powerful like men, and called it Dracula. Mary Shelley created a a physical being out of a man
s suppressed homosexuality due to his Victorian male upbringing; a man named Frankenstein. Robert
Stevenson described what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People believe that by allowing homosexuals to marry that it will threaten the sanctity of marriage .
Homosexual men are infamous for being promiscuous, at least that is the label that has been placed on
most if not all homosexual men, and for this reason sexually transmitted diseases have become
something expected of them. This must have been a belief in the Victorian era, since syphilis was the
disease that was feared and said to have come from sodomy. In this era, violence from society also
attacked homosexuality. Homosexuals were hung, or lynched. (Sadownick par. 5)
This history of homophobia shows that it grows in society from a person s upbringing. Things occur in
a person s life that cause them to act in certain ways and believe specific things. The public hatred of
gay men taught the generations that being gay was wrong, and that people that were gay needed to be
punished. Homophobia was strong in the days of the Gothic writers, and though it has weakened, it
still affects people in today s society. It even dates back to the Renaissance days, and is presented by
Dante Aligheri is his Inferno. And for this reason doth the smallest round/ Seal with its signet
Sodom[...] . Sodom is a city known for crude sexual acts, which is where sodomy gets its name from.
Since the Inferno is a world created by Dante, he believes that sodomy is a sin that is worse than
suicide, and decides to put it just before the entrance

With that being said, the best type of leadership to implement within our company would be the team
leadership model. The team is a certain type of group that is made up of members that interdependent,
who have the same set of common goals, and must arrange their various activities to fulfill these
goals. The team has certain roles for each leader within it a great deal of knowledge and background
on a certain topic along with the appropriate skills to perform the tasks. Since each of the members of
our group are such strong leaders this type of leadership would by far be the best option for our
company. This model will allow for more fluidity to be within our company and will allow for the
greatest amount of success.

group to communicate and finish the group project together. This brought the group together as one. A
simple structure has the authority centralized in a single person. Ashley showed her leadership and
communication skills to get the group started.

  • 2. The Understanding Of Global Diversity Guyana The world can be a very diverse place it is composed of many different individuals, places, cultures, religions, and languages. People fear what they don t understand. Fear paired with a lack of knowledge is a breeding ground for violence. A lack of Knowledge and understanding of others is a major contributor of many past wars that has been spawned. The understanding of global diversity helps the United States Military build strong relationships with neighboring countries and encourages peace around the world. Guyana is on the northeastern portion of South America, the Atlantic Ocean borders the countries north, while Suriname borders the east, Venezuela borders the northwest, on the south and southwest is Brazil. The capital city is Georgetown. In an area of 83,000 square miles (212,000 square kilometers), Majority of the population of Guyana reside within the coastal belt, which is below sea level. Guyana is comprised of four major physical features the coastal region, interior savannah region, highland region, and the hilly sandy clay belt. Each region may have similar characteristics but they are not the same. The land dictates how people in these areas will maintain survival. The Coastal Region of Guyana is home to about 90percent of the population ( Climate andPhysicalFeatures. • 3. Essay about Orson Welles The Magnificent Ambersons The biggest mistake we have made is to consider that films are primarily a form of entertainment. The film is the greatest medium since the invention of movable type for exchanging ideas and information, and it is no more at its best in light entertainment than literature is at its best in the light novel. Orson Welles Orson Welles was passionate about film. By the young age of 25, he had directed, produced, and starred in what is today considered by most to be the greatest movie ever made, Citizen Kane. About a year later, Welles began work on his next film project, The Magnificent Ambersons. Based on the novel of the same name by Booth Tarkington, The Magnificent Ambersons tells the story of a falling aristocratic family in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Welles wrote the script of The Ambersons in nine days (McBride 53). The film was to be financed by the production company RKO/ Mercury. A major problem arouse with the budget before shooting began. Because of the shrinking international film market, RKO had set a maximum budget in Welles contract of $600,000 for The Magnificent Ambersons (Higham213). Also, according to the arrangement that RKO had made with its bank, no film from the studio was ever to exceed $750,000. A pre budget estimate of Ambersons came close to one million dollars. Pared down to more details in its final form just before shooting, the film looked as if it would still cost in excess of $850,000. Permission to proceed with production was eventually granted, but with strict rules to Welles to bring the cost down to under the $750,000 figure (Higham 214). The Magnificent Ambersons is a Historical Epic Drama based on a time almost 70 years prior to its making. In order to cast the film, Welles read a delineation of the characters Tarkington had given in a 1917 issue of Metropolitan Magazine (Brady 316). The silent star Dolores Costello was brought out of retirement to play Isabel Amberson. Welles also made the surprising choice of selecting contract player Tim Holt for the role of George Minafer. Exploring the Reasons for Differences in Educational Achievement Between Different Ethnic Groups I believe that this is an important issue to consider as research has shown that whilst Afro Caribbean males are at the very bottom in terms of achievement, West Indian females tend to do even better than white females at GCSE. Sociologists such as Cecil Wright link educational achievement with teacher racism and labelling whilst other sociologists such as Charlotte Brookes link it with cultural deprivation: issues concerned with ethnicity. Ethnic groups contain people who share a common history, custom, identity and in most cases language and religion. The issue of differences in educational ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cecil Wright 1992 noted of teacher labelling, [Afro Caribbean] hold expectations of bad behaviour along with disapproval, punishment and teacher insensitivity to racism . She also affirmed that of primary school children, Rastafarians in particular were perceived as a threat to classroom management and often treat more harshly. Sociologist Bernard Coard (1971) used impressionistic evidence and personal experience to prove his hypothesis The education system makes black children become educationally subnormal by making them feel inferior in every way . Following his research he found that the word white is associated with good and the word black with evil , especially in children s books. Furthermore he noted that books often only contain white people and black music, art and culture are absent from the curriculum. I believe that his research completely supports his hypothesis as it is inevitable that some young children that associate black will evil will resent black children and therefore they attract hostility from other children which makes their school life extremely unpleasant. • 5. Campus Stadium Case The resurgence of Temple University s football program has lead the school wanting a $126 million, 35,000 seat stadium in the heart of North Philadelphia. The surrounding community outcry, skeptical legislators and a summer leadership crisis forced Temple s president, Neil Theobald, to step down. Since Theobald was the driving force behind the stadium, Temple has no clear timeline to bring a proposal to City Hall. The Owls have paid rent since 2003 to play at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. To build its own campus stadium, Temple needs legislation passed by City Council. • 6. Why Math Is Important For Teaching Mathematics And How... Math Philosophy Paper Math is developing concepts or standards that s important for teaching mathematics to students from Pre K to high school. In our changing world, those who understand and can do mathematics will have significant opportunities and options for shaping their future. (NCTM 2000, p.50). The two important tools to be an effective teacher is knowledge of mathematics and how students learn mathematics. The purposes of math education effect our life since the time we were able to walk. We were taught how to count on our fingers to being able to write our numbers to ten. Then as we got older, concepts were more challenging and involved critical thinking to solve the problems. In society today, math is being utilized in simple to complex avenues such as grocery shopping, measuring, budgeting, investments, architecture, science and technology to name a few. If we take a look around our environment signs, buildings, bridges, streets and just the different patterns and shapes all relate back to mathematics. My role as a math teacher in the classroom would be creating an inviting math environment for my students, being able to explain math to all my students in ways that they understand and model math in an effective way. I want to be a leader, share my knowledge, engage and challenge my students, support them, respect them, be positive and keep them interested in math. Globalisation can have lots of benefits on western societies such as implies the opening of the local to a broader outlook (Angelasancartier.net.2017). Woman has been created from a rib and the most curved part of the rib is the uppermost. If you try to straighten it, you will break it and if you leave it alone, it will remain curved. So, treat women kindly (Al Bukhari and Muslim). The rib reflects that all women differed from Adam and was unique. The bible describes Eve made from Adams rib to be Adams companion. A corporation will never die a natural death like humans die naturally, and corporations will always outlive the individual who created it. With that said, the corporation itself is never really committed to any employee or committed to any neighbor. However, a corporation can always demand employees, a corporation can always demand taxes that are extremely high, and a corporation can also restrict environmental laws. Corporations hold a great deal of power in today s society. History has explained the fact that at one point in time, the earth s natural resources had no limit. Raw materials were plenty, because of the fact that there were plenty of natural resources to go around. Natural resources can be identified as the raw materials that comes from the earth and are useful. Natural resources can never be made by humans. Athough, these raw materials can be modified, or altered to benefit corporations and businesses. For example, natural resources are fossil fuels like petroleum, natural gas, and coal. Minerals like diamonds, gold, and copper are natural resources that come from the earth. Other resources are known as natural vegetation, like forests and timber. • 15. A Brief Note On Diamond Blackfan Anemia ( Dba ) Is A Rare... Diamond Blackfan anemia (DBA) is a rare genetic disease that causes defects in the ribosomal structure (Farber, 2016). The disease stems from a decrease in the production of erythroid precursors in the bone marrow, which results in an extremely low red blood cell count. Due to the reduction in the production of erythrocytes, most individuals diagnosed with this disease develop an array of issues that can be life threatening such as a predisposition to cancer and bone marrow failure. Within the first year of life, most symptoms of DBA will appear in most individuals (Ellis, 2014). The importance of understanding the genetics of DBA remains a priority in reducing the number of infants affected by a detrimental hereditary blood disorder. After the first description of DBA by Josephs, the disease was further studied and analyzed by Louis Diamond and Kenneth Blackfan in 1938 (Anupama Narla, 2011). Since Diamond and Blackfan discovered a lot of information on the disease through research, the disease was named after both doctors. Most of the families affected by DBA appear to pass the genetic mutation in a dominant manner. Though several genes have been identified in the development of DBA, mutations in the RPS19 gene has been linked to more cases of DBA. The RPS19 gene helps to produce certain ribosomal factors that are used in ribonucleic acid processing. Ribosomes are responsible for producing proteins on a cellular level. This mutation leads to the inability of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Conventional cryptographic algorithms, which are generally aimed at encrypting like text data (known as Naïve approach) not well suited for video encryption. This is due to the fact that conventional cryptographic algorithms cannot process the large volume of video data in real time. Selective encryption of the H.264/AVC bitstream puts decoder to fully decode the encrypted video with degradation in video quality. This perceptual encryption has low encryption and decryption time. The video data are compressed to reduce the storage space required and to save bandwidth for transmission. So, the values of level_suffix with sign bits are encrypted with a higher length of bitstream (6 bits for luma and 4 bits for chroma), to reduce the threat of brute force attack. However, this affects the compression bandwidth. We have also analyzed that without making motion vectors encryption, we can t obtain temporal redundancy. Motion vector encryptions are proposed by several authors [4 9]. However, analysis shown in this paper said that 45 50% of motion vectors for each frame are not encrypted. Thus, a better encryption method is proposed at here in expense with compression bandwidth. Overall, we should create the balance between security and the increase in compression bandwidth. Four selective encryption methods are discussed here. A First method named NZs in CAVLC encrypts level_suffix values with sign bits of up to three lowest frequency non zero DCT coefficients in CAVLC encoding for all macroblocks. Second method named NZs in CAVLC for I only , which is same as the first method but encryption is done only in intra coded macroblocks. Third method named MV ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 17. London Research Paper Have you ever wondered how London and all the beautiful buildings in London came to be? Beginning with the main history of London, continuing with famous buildings and ending with famous people from London, this paper will explain some of London s very interesting history. The name of London came from the Celtic word Londinios, which means the place of the bold one (Lambert). During the course of the fourth century, Roman empire began to collapse and Christianity was introduced to the city, but some inhabitants were starting to leave from the city because they did not wanted to be part of this religion ( Cody). Although this was the beginning of how London started, there is more to be told about this city s history during the middle ages. When William the Conqueror took possession of the royal palace at ... Another famous building is the Westminster Abbey. The Westminster Abbey is a Gothic church with a heritage site that is popular with many visitors ( London Pass ). Edward the confessor established it as the home of the royal government and it has been the site of every coronation and royal burial for close to 500 years, and draws thousands of visitors every year ( Rich). The Eye of London is also another famous building. This building opened to the public in 2010 ( Lambert). Sponsors described such a feat as one of the most challenging and exciting construction projects ever seen in the UK . In order to deliver a packet, a sender may have to wait for a certain period of time [4] until its receiver becomes active. Sleep latency degrades the performance (e.g., delay and energy consumption) of various kinds of data forwarding designs in low duty cycle networks. There are two features that make flooding in low duty cycle networks challenging. First, a packet is unlikely to be received by multiple nodes simultaneously as in always awake networks. To broadcast a packet, a sender has to transmit the same packet multiple times if its receivers do not wake up at the same time. Thus flooding in such networks is realized essentially by multiple unicasts. Second, unlike wired networks, wireless communication is notoriously unreliable [4]. A transmission is repeated if the previous transmissions are not successful due to wireless loss. The combination of low duty cycle operation and unreliable links necessitates the design of a different flooding mechanism than those found in wired networks and always awake wireless networks. These combined have a knock on effects on reliability and cost [4]. One straightforward solution could be building a routing tree for flooding. Yet this type of solutions have been shown [7] to be fragile, because the failure of a parent node prevents ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The people of Rome, known to have had their feet planted firmly in materialism and worldly pleasure, believed their empire fell due to the punishment of their gods upon the converted/increasingly Christian nation. Augustine, a bishop of Hippo, recorded his thoughts into his book The City of God to answer questions the Romans, including Christians, had been asking about the momentous fall of the Roman Empire. Orosius, Augustine s pupil, contrasted with his teacher on certain viewpoints of the City of God and the City of Man. While Augustine believes that the City of God is misrepresented on Earth, Orosius believes that God chooses certain nations to represent Him in the City of Man. The work of Augustine and Orosius provide proper context for the dual citizen by recognizing failure in representation, understanding the meaning of being chosen , and realizing the true meaning of a dual citizen in the City of God and City of Man. Augustine s belief that prosperous earthly cities such as the United States and Rome are not like the City of God supports an accurate illustration of a proper Christian understanding of dual citizenship . His frequent illustrations of changing players most likely suggests that he is a true believer in the idea of people being able to emotionally grow. Parallel to King Richard in Richard II, he illustrates many characters throughout his works whom undergo similar personal growth. Oftentimes these personal changes occur when a character suffers great loss in life. Thus, he does not want to actually deal with any occurring problems that he is supposed to, but simply hold the title of king and flatter his supporters (who are, in turn, out to overrule him). Being the pinnacle of hierarchy in his country, he does nothing to help with the problems that are arising. Instead of implementing ways to help people he pouts and whines, which obviously do not help the reader to respond positively towards him. Another example of his belief in divine rights is shown by his repetitive reference to himself as we. Richard states, We were not born to sue, but to command; which since we cannot do to make you friends. (2.1.196 197). The we reference is merely the metaphysical expression for his office as king (essentially godlike) or both man and majesty fused as one. Flat tax is good because in addition to the income tax, the federal government imposes payroll tax, death tax, and a slew of excises. The New Flat Tax replaces them all for individuals, families, and businesses with one tax system with one tax rate of roughly 28 percent (The New Flat Tax: Encourages Growth and Job Creation). This is a good because they pay more attention on people and their family and where they work. Flat tax is also good because the new flat tax retains the Earned Income Credit to preserve the level of income support for low wage workers. And low and middle income families also receive a tax credit of $3,000 ($2,500 for singles) toward the purchase of health insurance (The New Flat Tax: Encourages Growth and Job Creation). This is good because people who need to go to the doctor or get medication can help them with the extra money they have. The most important reason is flat tax would give taxpayers incentive to earn more because they would not be penalized with a higher tax bracket. Flat tax encourages economic growth by avoiding a system in which you are penalized in higher taxes for being productive and earning more money (Mitchell). This supports it because people get to keep more of their money when they work for it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At age 25, he used all his savings to purchase the unsuccessful business. He spent the next 20 years running the Pike Place Fish Market, but he says in retrospect that he treated his employees more like objects or collateral than human beings. He made a living, but his business did not thrive. Finally, he realized his thoughts, feelings and attitudes were hindering his success. This was the changing point. Yokoyama hired a consultant, Jim Bergquist, who helped him understand how his thoughts, attitudes and actions limited his store s development and his employees potential. Bergquist helped Yokoyama make powerful changes in his approach. They created a safe environment for employees to express themselves openly and honestly, breaking down traditional communication barriers and implementing peer coaching. Yokoyama and his staff began to envision how they could make a real difference in the lives of other people through their business, far beyond anything they had imagined. Because they wanted to have a world famous impact, they changed the shop s name to the World Famous Pike Place Fish Market. The attack became apparent to the majority of the public that we were still far from winning this was and that our enemies were still not going to give up. In just two months after the attack, President Johnson announced that bombing would not take place below the 20th parallel which saved North Vietnam 90% of their territory so supplies and men could be moved with ease. The aftermath also killed a lot of morale for the troops and many of them would contribute to fragging which is when they would kill their officer. The popular film created by George Lucas uses many symbols to demonstrate the similarities between the movie and culture, such as the Tusken Raiders and the Nio. Fortunately, Star Wars stays open to all religions, allowing for different interpretations of all characters. The concepts presented in the movie allow for all viewers to further their knowledge of religion and understand the past in a more logical way. A similarity between Star Wars and religion are heralds and R2 D2. A herald was someone who carried a message, sometimes causing an adventure to begin. In the religion of Christianity, Matthew was a herald because he shared how Jesus, rejected by Israel, sent the disciples to preach the gospel to the world. In Star Wars, R2 D2 delivered the message that Princess Leia was in trouble and she needed help from Obi Wan Kenobi. This lead Luke Skywalker on an adventure to figure out who Obi Wan Kenobi was and why Princess Leia was in trouble. Therefore, both heralds and R2 D2 represent the messengers needed in order for a quest to unfold. Another comparison between Star Wars and religion are the Nio and the Tusken Raiders. Things occur in a person s life that cause them to act in certain ways and believe specific things. The public hatred of gay men taught the generations that being gay was wrong, and that people that were gay needed to be punished.
