This study investigates the adsorption of acid violet dye from aqueous solutions using Lagerstroemia indica seed activated carbon (LIS) as an adsorbent. The results show that the maximum dye removal (86.67%) occurs at pH 2 and an initial dye concentration of 10 mg/L with an adsorbent dosage of 50 mg. The adsorption process is described by the Langmuir isotherm model, indicating monolayer adsorption on a homogeneous surface, and is influenced by factors such as contact time, pH, temperature, and initial dye concentration.
