Cheesecake Factory Healthcare Analysis
There are major differences between the US health care system and the Cheesecake Factory that
should be kept in mind. Contrary to the Cheesecake Factory, health care facilities are focused more on
the accessibility of the system for staff use and not patient use. Healthcare is something everyone will
encounter at some point in their life. The cheesecake factory does not have this problem; the restaurant
makes a profit solely because people decide to eat there. Healthcare is a permanent business. If you
have a chronic disease, broken bones or are simply sick you don t contemplate whether or not you
seek medical treatment, it is mandatory. The difference between Cheesecake factory and Health Care
facilities is patient eduacation. The most important thing, within the hospital setting, is patient
education... says Dr. Tracy Lawrence (Gruessner 2015). At the Cheesecake Factory you can pick
where you want to sit, what you want to order, whether or not you want dessert, and how much you
want to spend. At a hospital this is completely decided by your physician. Imagine that the cheesecake
factory is the only place you could eat a meal at. Imagine that your order was already placed based on
your dietary consumption. Imagine that your when you received your bill it had a tip and was ... Show

He explains that the corporate bosses at Cheesecake Factory s headquarters claim to have more
knowledge about what new items to add to the menu than the kitchen managers. This is the reverse in
healthcare. Software developers generally know more about software than management. In healthcare,
managers telling workers what to do often leads to poor results, because the instructions are often
wrong. Experienced doctors and nurses usually know more about a patient s health than
administrators. As a result, administrators telling health staff what to do has had a negative track

Cultural Conformity and Race Essay
For centuries, racism has become the universal epitome of culture, despite the efforts of various
civilizations, such as the Western and European to combat these indifferences among people. A race is
specific social group that can be differentiated through various ways, from facial features and hair
textures, to social norms and habits that constitutes to that group. These differences contribute to our
uniqueness and humanity. Because people can be grouped by any number of differences, Man, lead by
his ignorance, perpetuated the issue once social hierarchies began to develop, splitting society to its
various groups. As a result, social disparity from one s upbringing became the common tendency to
look down, or look up at people of other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lacking financial assistance and exposed to the early onset of abuse by his father, Bragg realized that
there was a strict line, which drew improvised rural White Southerners and their counterparts as
unequal. The conception eventually influenced the phrase White Trash, a derogative term that
described the poor whites living in the United States with a degraded standard way of living. This
attack on moral failings eventually became a part of Bragg. Later in his memoir, Rick provides his
account where a wealthy fraternity at Jacksonville State throws a celebration for the children of poor
families. Initially, Rick extends his gratitude for their kindness but he has trouble relating with the
fraternity. Rick describes them as affluent people not rich by Manhattan standards, but Possum trot
ones, because poverty was what he was accustomed to (Bragg 97). He finds himself embarrassed and
bitter at the ignorance of the careless individuals who live with their backs turned to society. The
significance of this is that Bragg wished to capture of essence of the degree of meanness, degrees of
hatred, and of ignorance, that plagued the world (Bragg 62). Just like him, thousands of citizens in
United State experience prejudice and social disparity at least once in their lifetime. What makes it
more upsetting is the dehumanization and ridicule involved due to one s current condition. To an
extent, society has

Third Party Parties
The 2016 presidential election has brought many surprises and upsets. Both major party candidates are
viewed unfavorably by many American citizens. This makes some Americans question: is it time for a
third party to gain political power and help our faltering two party system? In the article, Is It Time for
a Third Party? , Patricia Smith provides information about third parties and how a third party might be
able to rise up to compete with the main two parties in the future. Smith effectively develops her ideas
by explaining third parties, including graphics to better explain her thoughts, and discussing how the
current atmosphere may allow third parties to rise to prominence. Smith provides a better description
of third parties by explaining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Smith gives an overview of third parties by explaining their role in elections, listing the current third
party candidates and their parties, and explaining why they rarely win. This helps readers to know
more about third parties and their current role, which helps them better understand the rest of the
information presented in the article. The article also includes colorful graphics that better explain
concepts in the article. These graphics also keep the reader engaged by presenting information in a

Ancient Egyptian Medicine
Medical practices in Ancient Egypt had a great impact on the medical practices that are used today, in
fact, they were predestinates of those that we have today. This paper will give an extensive
background into the details of medicine and medical practices of physicians and healers in Ancient
Egypt, as well as compare some of those same practices with modern practices that we use in
medicine during this time period. The practices discussed in this paper include how the Ancient
Egyptians chose doctors, how the Egyptians diagnosed their patients, minor surgery practices that are
still used in modern medicine today, remedies and medicinal herbs that can be found in modern

Most doctors were sent to institutions called the House of Life. The institution was actually a section
of the temple that was not only used for the teaching of medical students, but was also the same space
where sacred papyri were written and copied. Only a select few were allowed in the House of Life,
therefore little is known about Ancient Egyptian medical training and whether or not examinations
were require, or even if the training was fully practical. However, in modern day America there are
more qualifications for physicians. Physicians in the United States must also complete medical school,
but this is a long and hard process. Pre medical students in the United States must go through an
extensive and competitive application and interview process before being accepted into medical
school. You are judged not only on your academic performance and competency, but also your
Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores, community involvement, research and clinical
exposure, and interview skills. After acceptance into medical school is obtained, the medical student
must complete four years of rigorous science courses and clinical trials. They must also pass STEP 1
and STEP 2 tests before they can proceed to obtaining their medical degree. Once, the applicant is
finished with medical school, they must successfully complete a residency of about two years at the
hospital of their

The Theory Of Albert Bandura s Social Learning Theory
Albert Bandura is one of the most influential psychologist in history, best known for his famous Bobo
Doll Experiment. From this experiment, Bandura developed his Social Learning Theory, the theory
that we learn from one another through observation.
To prove his theory, Bandura used children to see if they would imitate a modal who showed
aggressive behavior toward a Bobo doll. The subjects were 36 boys and 36 girls from the Stanford
University s Nursery School aged between 3 and 6 years old. The models were two adults, male and
female. Aggressive behavior was shown to 24 children, non aggressive behavior was shown to 24
children and 24 children served as the control group. For the first step of the experiment, a child and a
model were brought into a room containing toys. The child was escorted to a corner that had potato
prints and stickers while the model was escorted to a corner that had a tinker toy set, a mallet and a 5
foot inflated Bobo doll. For subjects that were in the aggressive condition, the model began aggressing
toward the doll after a minute. The model performed distinct aggressive acts that Bandura was looking
for the child to imitate. The model laid the doll on its side, sat on it and punched it repeatedly in the
nose and then raised the doll, picked up the mallet and struck it on the head. Following the mallet
aggression, the model tossed the doll up in the air and kicked it around the room. These aggressive
acts were repeated three times, interspersed

Analysis Of Donald Trump s View On Political Issues And...
Think Twice About Voting For Trump
Trump s main appeal seems to be his projection of strength in free speech. This is his only trait that
carries him despite his blatant lack of knowledge on political issues and lack of experience. Donald
Trump s supporters follow him because he speaks his mind, but any sane individual should be
vehemently opposed to Donald Trump being president. Donald Trump lies with such ease and
tramples on free press and free speech, even going as far as stating he will change the laws that we
already have in place. We cannot accept Donald Trump to become a prestige leader to run our country,
he would be the most unqualified president in American history to become our president. Every one of
our presidents has had either government or military experience before being sworn in, Mr. Trump, a
real estate mogul and former reality television star, hasn t severed a day in public office or the armed
forces.
Moreover, Mr. Trump has admitted that he doesn t prepare for debates or study briefing books; he
believes such things get in the way of a good performance. No major presidential candidate has ever
been quite as disdainful of knowledge, as indifferent to facts as he is. Mr. Trump believes he ll snap
his fingers and everyone from his political opponents will bend to his will. He is a man operating in
his own thoughts in a fantasy world. Mr. Trump s main concern is winning the election, not serving
the people or leading the country. This is one

Deficiencies Of Supervisory Skills At Public Library
Executive Summary The aim of this report is to analyse deficiencies in supervisory skills at the Burbs
Public Library. This report will give a critique on the actions of the supervisor who made significant
changes to staffing and operational procedures in the department, provide recommendations on how
the process can be improved to avoid similar challenges in the future, as well as provide information
and guidance to current and future supervisors. Problems were identified when significant
modifications were made by the supervisor to the loans section of the library over a short period. The
changes included reorganisation of the part time roster and work areas, revision of the flexible
working hours for full time staff and revision of the loans procedure manual. The errors lie not so
much in the changes themselves, but in the application of the changes. There was a lack of strategic
and long term planning, with no prior consultation with staff. There is evidence the supervisor lacks
the skills to make effective and sustainable decisions as well as undertake practical problem solving.
The outcome of this scenario is disruptive and distressing with some of the staff finding the changes
untenable due to other commitments and indicate that they will resign or request transfer, the changes
to the work area are impractical and the clients are complaining to staff about the new procedures for
loaning books. The report recommends that the supervisor concerned be given training

Child Maltreatment And Its Effects On Children
Introduction
Of all the reported American child maltreatment in 2013, 79.5% of victims experienced neglect, more
than four times the victims that were physically abused (U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services, 2013). Neglect is one of the most common forms of child maltreatment and public
awareness of this problem was raised in the 1960s by the work of C. Henry Page 1 of 1Kempe which
described the battered child syndrome. It was only then that child maltreatment was regarded as a
serious social problem. Since then, a new field has grown, with professionals researching to
understand the problem and effective interventions needed and yet, neglect is still often given less
attention than child physical and sexual abuse. The signs of neglect are usually less visible than the
physical signs of abuse but it is just as detrimental to the general early development of children as
abuse. By examining the consequences of neglect in children on their cognitive development, the
problem can be slowly addressed and resolved to a certain extent. Not only does it affect cognitive,
language and emotional development in children, it can also result in long term consequences such as
poor academic performance and attachment problems. However, research has shown that an enriching
environment given to the children once they are out of an environment of neglect can promote
resilience which to a certain extent can recover the effects of neglect on various aspects of
development.

Planet Fitness Research Paper
My assignment is to write a critique paper on the facility named Planet Fitness . Planet Fitness is a
gym that labels itself rather as a fitness club that aspires people of all ages, weights and heights to
come and hit the gym. Planet Fitness promises a judgement free environment, allowing for even your
most introvert and shy gym goers to enjoy their workout without feeling self conscious because of
other gym attendee s opinions. On the workout floor, their facilities are equipped with mostly cardio
machines, with some weight machines and an abdominal exercise area. Within the locker rooms, they
come well equipped for serving mass amounts of gym goers at a time. The locker rooms include
showers, sinks, and toilets, urinals in the male locker ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biggest flaw that I believe planet fitness possesses is the fact that they live by the policy do not
cater to body builders, so that they can create the dream of a judgement free zone . I am about to put a
huge hole into the logic of this policy. There is no such thing as judgment free . Judgement and
opinion are natural processing agents within the human mind. Everyone judges everyone whether it is
acknowledged that they are doing so or not. Also, if it s a judgment free zone, how come the gym is
full of illustrations and slang words directed towards a stereotypical bodybuilder? Planet Fitness is
being judgmental their selves. By keeping to this policy, Planet Fitness is not only making itself the
laughing stock of the fitness industry, but it is also losing a large, plentiful amount of potential
customers. Now that I ve gotten that flaw out of the way, my second biggest frustration with Planet
Fitness is the food and candy the facility offers. When people sign up for the gym, they are also
signing a personal contact with their selves to be a better, heathier version of their selves. This process
involves not only working out, but it also involves dieting, creating a balanced meal plan based on
their goals, and being able to say no to eating poorly all the time and instead

The Film American History X
The film American History X begins with an average American middle class family; four well
behaved children and two all American parents living in Long Beach, California. The father is killed
in a shooting, leaving his eldest son, Derek, the head of the household. Derek becomes enveloped in
Neo Nazi culture from the end of his adolescent years into early adulthood, and he becomes the leader
of a gang. At this point, his younger brother, Danny, is an adolescent and begins mimicking his older
brother s behavior. But the turning point of the movie is when Derek is convicted for murdering a
black man and serves three years in prison. This film is primarily an example of moral growth,
ontological shock, and choosing what kind of influence one wants to project onto others. Derek
realizes that he is going to be held accountable for all of the viewpoints he has endorsed to others, that
with drastic actions come drastic consequences, and that autonomy is a powerful force when fueled
with willpower. The importance of social influence is a strong theme to American History X, which is
why I think Lev Vygostky s socio cultural theories surrounding cognitive development can explain the
film s meaning well. According to Vygotsky, the interactions a person has between the environment
and other human beings determines the learning that takes place. The type of environment that a child
grows up in also greatly affects a person throughout life, as well. Vygostky also believed that tutors

Robotic Milking Is Becoming A Huge Part Of The Dairy Industry
Robotic milking is becoming a huge part of the dairy industry today. Today, lactating cows are able to
choose a time in which they want to be milked, and how often they want to be milked. The robotic
milking machine will prep, milk, and post dip the cow without humans having to do the work
manually (Figure One). Robots also give the farmers additional information about each individual
cow. Farmers are able to choose which type of system flow they want for their animals, and what they
think is best for their herd. The labor for robotic milking is less intense than the labor in tie stall/
stanchion barn, and can reduce the amount of employees the farmer has, which in return may help
save the farmer money. Many farmers are switching to this new way of milking their cows, because of
flexibility and increase in milk quality. Robotic milking is growing in the dairy industry and becoming
more popular in the United States, and we are going to start seeing more farmers install them. When it
comes to robotic milking, the farmer has different options on how they want their cows to flow
through the milking machine. Cows who are milked through a robot can either have free access to the
robot, or can be forced trafficked (also known as milk first system), to the robot (Munksgaard et al.,
2011). When cows have free access to the robot facility, the cows are able to access the feed and robot

Eolian Harp Essay
In Coleridge s poem Eolian Harp , the harp itself used as a motif to represent creativity. Another poet
that used the eolian harp motif was Percy Shelly. Shelly s poem Ode to the West Wind , uses the harp
and nature as a motif to represent creativity. Throughout Shelly s poem, he expresses his creativity
with nature. An example like the season of autumn and the changes of season. He also uses a describe
style of writing and the Eolian harp to define creativity with nature. And the poem has similarities to
the Eolian Harp .
The poem Ode to the West Wind , expresses creativity through nature. Shelly used the aspects of
nature to express creativity. He used autumn, the sea and changing of the seasons to convey creativity.
For example, in Ode to the West Wind , Shelly writes the line Wild spirit, which art moving
everywhere . In this line, Shelly is expressing that in the spirit of nature art is moving. In this passage,
he is talking about the season of autumn. The being verse O wild west wind thou breath of autumn s
being . Both verses express that autumn can bring out creativity. The moving of the wind is being
compared to art moving everywhere in nature that can fuel creativity. Shelly also uses the sea to

Growth Strategies, Innovation, Alliances, and Execution
Capella University
Introduction
Thompson Strickland (2013) believes that a successful organization s strategy depends on people,
capabilities, structure, and execution. Important as well are growth and innovation (P.. 286), which
allows an organization to remain competitive.
Growth strategies arise from an organization s SWOT where clear guidelines identify areas of focus.
Achieving this requires innovation and alliances on products and services that will create a
competitive advantage. Successfully execution requires a strategic manager who can effectively and
successfully drive strategic objectives, then report its performance to the leadership team (Thompson

Pfizer s SWOT Analysis (Pfizer, 2013) Innovation theory define when new or existing, large or small
companies, individuals or groups identify, create and market new or existing products or services to
consumers ultimately disrupting an existing business or create value. Some ideas are born out of a
need that ultimately satisfies consumers and some are the next steps that dominate the market. Pfizer
innovative strategies provide new products such as Lipitor, Viagra, and Celebrex. When two or more
organizations create a formal agreement to work together for a specific purpose, they form an alliance.
Alliances offer organizations competitiveness in new business industries and shared responsibility in
experience and cost. Execution of a strategy allows an organization to identify a strategic manager or
management team who will be responsible for five key components: people, resources, structure,
systems and culture. The role of the strategic manager or management team is to implement and
monitor performance and report to company stakeholders on the status. Because strategy drives an
organization s success, the team should select managers who can aggressively drive the objectives to
achieve desired results through three actions:

Mango Shaped Space Book Report
Beginning
The book I read was A Mango Shaped Space
Mia is the main character
Her best friend is Jenna and she has a cat named Manga
The lesson is how no matter how different we seem, we all have a lot in common in terms of grief
The lesson is important because it is an important life lesson
You have to overcome your difficulties, which can be very difficult
End
Mia felt extra grief
The death of her grandparents, whom she loved so much, and even her cat
This makes a hole in here
She can t overcome at first
Eventually, she realizes that it was inevitable since Mango was such a weak cat.
He was found sick and was nurtured.
The most recent book that I have read over the first marking period was the book, A Mango Shaped
Space. In this story, a girl named Mia is in the 8th grade. She has a cat named Mango, whom she
found on the street. Her cat was very sick and was taken to the vet. Mango survived luckily, but
needed many medications in order to keep staying healthy. Mia also had a condition called
synesthesia, which enabled her to connect colors with words. Mango was always in critical condition,
but was always loving to the family. That was, until Mia makes a mistake. She accidently leaves

Reality Test Should Be Used For School
Imagine yourself back in your freshman year of highschool. It is early October and field hockey is
going great. Classes are not too bad either, and reports are right around the corner. On Monday your
teacher pulls you aside and lets you know that if you do not get at least an eighty on this next test you
will not do well in the class. Not only do you have other work due for school, but you have a job, field
hockey and only two days left to study and really understand the material. This is currently the issue
with test, teachers are using them as end point grades. This means they use them to see how much
someone knows. Hence, using tests as final scoring of what they have learned. In reality test should be
used to help guide teaching. As a teacher we should realize that test grades are affected by a lot of
outside sources and are not always reliable. Test should be used to help guide the way teachers help
their students learn, not used to measure what a student already knows. To lay a foundation for why
tests should not be used to measure how much students know, but rather used as a guide for what

Dante s Paradiso And Cur Deus Daman Analysis
God is the ultimate creator of all. Before God created the world, nothing preexisted. The reason God
created the world was to be generous, not by someone forcing him. God is the almighty power so God
is not told what to do, He chooses what he does. Saint Anselm through his story Cur Deus Homo and
Dante through his story Divine Comedy talk about the incarnation of Christ to show the almighty
power that God holds. God makes all his decisions for the benefit of the people and does what He
feels is best for them. In Dante s Paradiso and in Cur Deus Homo by Saint Anselm they show that his
decision of incarnating Christ was a necessary one for the people of the world to have the ability to
forgive human sins, to show His infinite power, and to keep ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Humans are powerful, but there are tasks that can only be done by certain individuals. The individual
needs to have infinite power, which only God has. Saint Anselm s writes If then, as is certain, that
celestial city must be completed from among men, and this cannot happen unless the aforesaid
satisfaction is made, while no one save God can make it and no one save man ought to make it, it is
necessary for a God Man to make it. (2,6). The celestial city is a heavenly city. The only person
capable of constructing a celestial city is God and for this, God needs to be Man. The city proves that
incarnation happened since no human can construct such a city. God is the highest figure in the
hierarchy of power and since nobody below him was able construct the city, it only leaves God. In
Dante, Beatrice said Man, in his limits, could not recompense: for no obedience, no humility, he
offered later could have been so deep that it could match the heights he meant to reach through
disobedience; man lacked the power to offer satisfaction by himself. Thus, there was a need for God,
through His own ways, to bring man back to life intact I mean by one way or another. (7. 97 103).
Like Anselm s story, God was the only one who had the power to complete such a task. God needed
the people to fight through the disobedience and for that to happen they needed a guide. God is the
only person who has infinite power, so he needed to bring Christ into the world to help the helpless
beings. God is the only one who had the power to create someone like Jesus to help the people who

Police Citizen Violence Research Paper
Avoiding Violence between Police and Citizens
On a daily basis, we read stories of officers who do wrong. For examples, theft, use of force,
misappropriation use of public office, abuse of authority, and even simple things like speeding, are all
unethical behavior on the part of those that the public has trusted to serve and protect them. On the
other hand, it must be noted that the huge majority of police officers are good, hard working and
dedicated people who strive to serve the public and do the right thing at every turn.
According to Roufa (2016), every officer knows or at least should be aware by now, that they live in a
fishbowl. Friends, relatives, neighbors, and strangers watch every move a law enforcement officers
make, both on and off duty. The fact is that the public analyzes police officers more than most other
professions, either because they are suspicious or hope to catch them screwing up or because they are
hopeful and looking for a good example and a strong leader. In either case, it is up to the officer to be
above reproach in both his public and private life. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

reading of the Nation s newspapers often yields accounts of confrontations between police and
citizens over the use of deadly force in situations where racial and ethnic tensions create additional

Practical Report Essay
Abstract Mead amp; Hampson (1996) developed a study involving the divided visual field paradigm

The Three Major Chemical Bonds
So here we are talking about the three types major chemical bonds. NaCl is an ionic bond because
chlorine does not share any electrons with sodium to form a bond. There are two different types of
covalent bonds non polar and polar covalent bonds. So ionic bonds are basically the electronegativity
is larger then its more polar. Non polar bonds have the same electronegativity which makes them share
an equal pair share of the bond. Polar bonds have a different electronegativity which makes it have an
unequal share of the bonds. Some of the characteristics for covalent bonds are bond length and bond
polarity. The definition for bond length is the identity of the bond and seeing if it is singled, doubled,

Another assumption is that the artificial sweeteners affect the stomach bacteria differently then
common sugar. A study done by Purdue University researchers, by using rats, showed that diet sodas
and weight gain revolves around the artificial sweeteners (Global Healing Center). For ten days, the
pair fed the first group of rat s sugar sweetened beverages, and the other group of rats sugar sweetened
and artificially sweetened beverages. After ten days, they gave the groups chocolate pudding. The data
revealed that the rats that had been fed both sugar sweetened and artificially sweetened beverages
consumed more calories than the rats that only drank the sugar sweetened beverage (Global Healing
Center). This proved that since artificial sweeteners lack calories while remaining sweet, it interferes
with the brain s ability to register calorie intake. It tricks the brain into thinking its not eating as much

by the amount you eat. Debunking the theory that diet drinks actually help you lose

Tent Camping Advantages And Disadvantages
What provides better shelter during a camping trip, a hammock or a tent? If you were to ask a casual

arrive at a decision. You see, both hammock and tent camping have their pros and their cons, so trying
to declare one as absolutely better than the other is a fool s game.
Today, we re going to be playing the fool, so you don t have to.

A quality camping hammock will last you for a couple of years and will be backed by a warranty of
some sort, but time will eventually take its toll and it will succumb to wear and tear far sooner than a

There are a significant number of reasons to purchase a tent instead of a camping hammock. The only
problem is that there are also a significant number of reasons to purchase a camping instead of a tent.
Both have their supporters and detractors, all of whom are capable of making excellent arguments to

If you re planning a camping trip with a couple of friends and are able to convince them all to chip in

What Are The Disadvantages Of A Subscription Market
Strategic Issue Article Subscription boxes are one of the fastest growing trends in the business and
startup world. The concept is that a customer signs up for monthly home deliveries of items that they
desire. Companies finding success with this strategy include Fabletics and Gentleman s Box. With the
growing interest consumers have for convenience, it makes sense that home delivered goods would be
so popular among consumers. The growth of this industry can be expected to continue to grow for
many reasons, but most likely because of the low barriers to entry. However, the issue is how is this
growing trend impacting retail stores like Banana Republic and Macey s. Pros: These subscription
based companies are quickly taking over the retail market. The biggest pro for the consumer to a
subscription based clothing service is convenience. These clothing subscription services generally
entail clothes picked for you by a stylist in your selected size, which are sent directly to your door
every month. The consumer is able to try on the items in the comfort of their own home. If they don t
like it, they have the option to send it back. However, if they do like it, then their monthly subscription
cost goes towards any items they decide to keep. If the cost of what they keep is greater than the
subscription service, they charge the consumer s card for the remaining clothes, typically at a
discounted price. On the business side there are a few major upsides to retail based

Self-Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson
Every day people make hundreds of choices. People do not realize how many choices they make in
one day. Those choices shape and conform people s lives whether they know it or not. Ralph Waldo
Emerson s essay Self Reliance shows how individuals should be self reliant in their own lives, not
being conformed by their community. Emerson acknowledges that self reliance is the key to
empowering one s self in a positive way. His essay Self Reliance , shows how distractions, like one s
personal community, can hinder one s self reliance; and conversely, how self confidence can improve
one s life. I believe individuals can achieve self reliance through their own choices, including
choosing who one surrounds himself or herself with to be without the community.
Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson is an ambiguous essay that portrays different concepts.
Emerson uses his own opinions as well as facts we see in everyday life to try and persuade his readers
to trust themselves and have self reliance. He includes many strong arguments and explains himself
thoroughly. This essay does not focus on earthly things; it focuses on how one views themselves
independently in the world. Emerson shows his readers that self reliance should be embraced
throughout yourself, others, and society.
In this essay Emerson proudly emphasizes how he believes that every person should have self
reliance. Emerson defines self reliance as reliance on one s self and not others; to not go along with
society but to follow their own trustworthiness and will. This means to believe in himself or herself
and not depend on others. It also means to take responsibility and to not imitate somebody else. One
of Emerson s quotes in this essay states, We imitate; and what is imitation but the travelling of the
mind? (17). He shows that societies members imitate each other. This should not be reality. Every
person can and should think for themselves. Emerson understands that the world is chaotic and calls
on individuals to make order of it. People should be united in society yet they should each take part in
their own way with their own thoughts.
Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place the divine providence has found

Alexis De Tocqueville New Imperialism
NEW Imperialism, being an important step towards bringing peace for people, can also have
disagreers. Europe has seen many transitions in its history; which means every generation had
different ideas about the type of government they would prefer. While Alexis De Tocqueville and
Rudyard Kipling wanted Europe to imperialize, Edward Morel and Aime Cesaire were against it.
Depending on the time they wrote, some of their reasonings were similar and some were totally new.
NEW Alexis De Tocqueville travelled to Algeria twice in order to understand Arab s situations with
French people. At first, he looked at Algeria as a democratic person, because he also did research on
the democracy of America. He believed that if Algerians will be placed under French administration,
they will never be able to succeed because Arabs do not create new government, but improve the one
they already have. They live in Tribal organizations, which is very hard to break and their way of life
is according to the Koran, which gives them civil and religious laws to be successful. He thought of
both sides by saying that Algerians should have unity, so no foreign power can break in easily, and
both Arabs and French will merge at some point if they will have a same leader. He said, With time,
perseverance, ability, and justice, I have no doubt that we shall be able to raise a great monument to

  • 2. Cheesecake Factory Healthcare Analysis There are major differences between the US health care system and the Cheesecake Factory that should be kept in mind. Contrary to the Cheesecake Factory, health care facilities are focused more on the accessibility of the system for staff use and not patient use. Healthcare is something everyone will encounter at some point in their life. The cheesecake factory does not have this problem; the restaurant makes a profit solely because people decide to eat there. Healthcare is a permanent business. If you have a chronic disease, broken bones or are simply sick you don t contemplate whether or not you seek medical treatment, it is mandatory. The difference between Cheesecake factory and Health Care facilities is patient eduacation. The most important thing, within the hospital setting, is patient education... says Dr. Tracy Lawrence (Gruessner 2015). At the Cheesecake Factory you can pick where you want to sit, what you want to order, whether or not you want dessert, and how much you want to spend. At a hospital this is completely decided by your physician. Imagine that the cheesecake factory is the only place you could eat a meal at. Imagine that your order was already placed based on your dietary consumption. Imagine that your when you received your bill it had a tip and was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He explains that the corporate bosses at Cheesecake Factory s headquarters claim to have more knowledge about what new items to add to the menu than the kitchen managers. This is the reverse in healthcare. Software developers generally know more about software than management. In healthcare, managers telling workers what to do often leads to poor results, because the instructions are often wrong. Experienced doctors and nurses usually know more about a patient s health than administrators. As a result, administrators telling health staff what to do has had a negative track ... • 3. Personal Narrative-Best Sports Player Our team just started so the season today and we need to start with a bang so our starting line up is the best players on the team. FWEEP! we start with the ball and it goes to Donaldo who plays ith to me than I ply it to JJ and then it s out of then I throw it in. After the keeper got the ball he took the goal kick, it went down the field and Milford got a shot but Holden gets a diving save and it s a good one too Milford gets the corner but it s cleared out and Donaldo received the ball and we went to goal again this time I got the ball played to me than I played it back to Donaldo who takes a shot but the keeper gets the save. Than he punted the ball and Jay Quan picks it out of the air and it goes to Mark who dribbles the ball past ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We try to get it out but Milford s tall forward knocks it down and takes a shot it gets deflected and Milford shoots again and this time it s a goal Brian our other keeper is in net But there s still a chance we can win FWEEP and another kickoff I get the ball and dribble really far than pass to JJ who crosses the ball but it s out of bounds Sub Ref, my dad says to (or everyone else coach) and Daniel is on and Joell is off so than milford gets a break away but Wilson slides in and gets it out and knocks the kid down and what I heard from the kid was WHAT THE HECK! So than it s a corner but no goal so than the goal kick is taken and it goes to Mark and he s at the arc of the box he pulls his foot back. He s locked, loaded and ready to score, I think to myself. His left foot goes towards the ball and strikes it and I see it sail through the sky into the top corner just like in a videogame and then it s a pretty normal game but after a while the have a breakaway and there tallest fastest guy he s by me Jay Quan is racing after him but when he gets in the box he puts it way wide after that there s a corner and number 11 (which is the tall guy)tries for a bicycle kick but misses and then there s like a mob in the keeper box but Holden clears it out FWEEP FWEEP FWEEP and the game is over WH 2 ... • 4. Cultural Conformity and Race Essay For centuries, racism has become the universal epitome of culture, despite the efforts of various civilizations, such as the Western and European to combat these indifferences among people. A race is specific social group that can be differentiated through various ways, from facial features and hair textures, to social norms and habits that constitutes to that group. These differences contribute to our uniqueness and humanity. Because people can be grouped by any number of differences, Man, lead by his ignorance, perpetuated the issue once social hierarchies began to develop, splitting society to its various groups. As a result, social disparity from one s upbringing became the common tendency to look down, or look up at people of other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lacking financial assistance and exposed to the early onset of abuse by his father, Bragg realized that there was a strict line, which drew improvised rural White Southerners and their counterparts as unequal. The conception eventually influenced the phrase White Trash, a derogative term that described the poor whites living in the United States with a degraded standard way of living. This attack on moral failings eventually became a part of Bragg. Later in his memoir, Rick provides his account where a wealthy fraternity at Jacksonville State throws a celebration for the children of poor families. Initially, Rick extends his gratitude for their kindness but he has trouble relating with the fraternity. Rick describes them as affluent people not rich by Manhattan standards, but Possum trot ones, because poverty was what he was accustomed to (Bragg 97). He finds himself embarrassed and bitter at the ignorance of the careless individuals who live with their backs turned to society. The significance of this is that Bragg wished to capture of essence of the degree of meanness, degrees of hatred, and of ignorance, that plagued the world (Bragg 62). Just like him, thousands of citizens in United State experience prejudice and social disparity at least once in their lifetime. What makes it more upsetting is the dehumanization and ridicule involved due to one s current condition. To an extent, society has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. The Theory Of Albert Bandura s Social Learning Theory Albert Bandura is one of the most influential psychologist in history, best known for his famous Bobo Doll Experiment. From this experiment, Bandura developed his Social Learning Theory, the theory that we learn from one another through observation. To prove his theory, Bandura used children to see if they would imitate a modal who showed aggressive behavior toward a Bobo doll. The subjects were 36 boys and 36 girls from the Stanford University s Nursery School aged between 3 and 6 years old. The models were two adults, male and female. Aggressive behavior was shown to 24 children, non aggressive behavior was shown to 24 children and 24 children served as the control group. For the first step of the experiment, a child and a model were brought into a room containing toys. The child was escorted to a corner that had potato prints and stickers while the model was escorted to a corner that had a tinker toy set, a mallet and a 5 foot inflated Bobo doll. For subjects that were in the aggressive condition, the model began aggressing toward the doll after a minute. The model performed distinct aggressive acts that Bandura was looking for the child to imitate. The model laid the doll on its side, sat on it and punched it repeatedly in the nose and then raised the doll, picked up the mallet and struck it on the head. Following the mallet aggression, the model tossed the doll up in the air and kicked it around the room. These aggressive acts were repeated three times, interspersed ... This is his only trait that carries him despite his blatant lack of knowledge on political issues and lack of experience. Donald Trump s supporters follow him because he speaks his mind, but any sane individual should be vehemently opposed to Donald Trump being president. Donald Trump lies with such ease and tramples on free press and free speech, even going as far as stating he will change the laws that we already have in place. We cannot accept Donald Trump to become a prestige leader to run our country, he would be the most unqualified president in American history to become our president. This report will give a critique on the actions of the supervisor who made significant changes to staffing and operational procedures in the department, provide recommendations on how the process can be improved to avoid similar challenges in the future, as well as provide information and guidance to current and future supervisors. Problems were identified when significant modifications were made by the supervisor to the loans section of the library over a short period. The changes included reorganisation of the part time roster and work areas, revision of the flexible working hours for full time staff and revision of the loans procedure manual. The errors lie not so much in the changes themselves, but in the application of the changes. There was a lack of strategic and long term planning, with no prior consultation with staff. There is evidence the supervisor lacks the skills to make effective and sustainable decisions as well as undertake practical problem solving. The outcome of this scenario is disruptive and distressing with some of the staff finding the changes untenable due to other commitments and indicate that they will resign or request transfer, the changes to the work area are impractical and the clients are complaining to staff about the new procedures for loaning books. • 11. Child Maltreatment And Its Effects On Children Introduction Of all the reported American child maltreatment in 2013, 79.5% of victims experienced neglect, more than four times the victims that were physically abused (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 2013). Neglect is one of the most common forms of child maltreatment and public awareness of this problem was raised in the 1960s by the work of C. Henry Page 1 of 1Kempe which described the battered child syndrome. It was only then that child maltreatment was regarded as a serious social problem. Since then, a new field has grown, with professionals researching to understand the problem and effective interventions needed and yet, neglect is still often given less attention than child physical and sexual abuse. The signs of neglect are usually less visible than the physical signs of abuse but it is just as detrimental to the general early development of children as abuse. By examining the consequences of neglect in children on their cognitive development, the problem can be slowly addressed and resolved to a certain extent. Not only does it affect cognitive, language and emotional development in children, it can also result in long term consequences such as poor academic performance and attachment problems. However, research has shown that an enriching environment given to the children once they are out of an environment of neglect can promote resilience which to a certain extent can recover the effects of neglect on various aspects of development. Everyone judges everyone whether it is acknowledged that they are doing so or not. Also, if it s a judgment free zone, how come the gym is full of illustrations and slang words directed towards a stereotypical bodybuilder? Planet Fitness is being judgmental their selves. • 13. The Film American History X The film American History X begins with an average American middle class family; four well behaved children and two all American parents living in Long Beach, California. The father is killed in a shooting, leaving his eldest son, Derek, the head of the household. Derek becomes enveloped in Neo Nazi culture from the end of his adolescent years into early adulthood, and he becomes the leader of a gang. At this point, his younger brother, Danny, is an adolescent and begins mimicking his older brother s behavior. But the turning point of the movie is when Derek is convicted for murdering a black man and serves three years in prison. This film is primarily an example of moral growth, ontological shock, and choosing what kind of influence one wants to project onto others. Derek realizes that he is going to be held accountable for all of the viewpoints he has endorsed to others, that with drastic actions come drastic consequences, and that autonomy is a powerful force when fueled with willpower. The importance of social influence is a strong theme to American History X, which is why I think Lev Vygostky s socio cultural theories surrounding cognitive development can explain the film s meaning well. According to Vygotsky, the interactions a person has between the environment and other human beings determines the learning that takes place. The type of environment that a child grows up in also greatly affects a person throughout life, as well. Vygostky also believed that tutors ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Today, lactating cows are able to choose a time in which they want to be milked, and how often they want to be milked. The robotic milking machine will prep, milk, and post dip the cow without humans having to do the work manually (Figure One). Robots also give the farmers additional information about each individual cow. Farmers are able to choose which type of system flow they want for their animals, and what they think is best for their herd. The labor for robotic milking is less intense than the labor in tie stall/ stanchion barn, and can reduce the amount of employees the farmer has, which in return may help save the farmer money. Many farmers are switching to this new way of milking their cows, because of flexibility and increase in milk quality. Robotic milking is growing in the dairy industry and becoming more popular in the United States, and we are going to start seeing more farmers install them. When it comes to robotic milking, the farmer has different options on how they want their cows to flow through the milking machine. Cows who are milked through a robot can either have free access to the robot, or can be forced trafficked (also known as milk first system), to the robot (Munksgaard et al., 2011). As a teacher we should realize that test grades are affected by a lot of outside sources and are not always reliable. The reason God created the world was to be generous, not by someone forcing him. God is the almighty power so God is not told what to do, He chooses what he does. Saint Anselm through his story Cur Deus Homo and Dante through his story Divine Comedy talk about the incarnation of Christ to show the almighty power that God holds. God makes all his decisions for the benefit of the people and does what He feels is best for them. Saint Anselm s writes If then, as is certain, that celestial city must be completed from among men, and this cannot happen unless the aforesaid satisfaction is made, while no one save God can make it and no one save man ought to make it, it is necessary for a God Man to make it. (2,6). The celestial city is a heavenly city. The only person capable of constructing a celestial city is God and for this, God needs to be Man. The city proves that incarnation happened since no human can construct such a city. God is the highest figure in the hierarchy of power and since nobody below him was able construct the city, it only leaves God. In Dante, Beatrice said Man, in his limits, could not recompense: for no obedience, no humility, he offered later could have been so deep that it could match the heights he meant to reach through disobedience; man lacked the power to offer satisfaction by himself. Thus, there was a need for God, through His own ways, to bring man back to life intact I mean by one way or another. (7. 97 103). The concept is that a customer signs up for monthly home deliveries of items that they desire. Companies finding success with this strategy include Fabletics and Gentleman s Box. With the growing interest consumers have for convenience, it makes sense that home delivered goods would be so popular among consumers. The growth of this industry can be expected to continue to grow for many reasons, but most likely because of the low barriers to entry. However, the issue is how is this growing trend impacting retail stores like Banana Republic and Macey s. Pros: These subscription based companies are quickly taking over the retail market. The biggest pro for the consumer to a subscription based clothing service is convenience. These clothing subscription services generally entail clothes picked for you by a stylist in your selected size, which are sent directly to your door every month. The consumer is able to try on the items in the comfort of their own home. If they don t like it, they have the option to send it back. However, if they do like it, then their monthly subscription cost goes towards any items they decide to keep. If the cost of what they keep is greater than the subscription service, they charge the consumer s card for the remaining clothes, typically at a discounted price. • 35. Self-Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson Every day people make hundreds of choices. People do not realize how many choices they make in one day. Those choices shape and conform people s lives whether they know it or not. Ralph Waldo Emerson s essay Self Reliance shows how individuals should be self reliant in their own lives, not being conformed by their community. Emerson acknowledges that self reliance is the key to empowering one s self in a positive way. His essay Self Reliance , shows how distractions, like one s personal community, can hinder one s self reliance; and conversely, how self confidence can improve one s life. I believe individuals can achieve self reliance through their own choices, including choosing who one surrounds himself or herself with to be without the community. Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson is an ambiguous essay that portrays different concepts. Emerson uses his own opinions as well as facts we see in everyday life to try and persuade his readers to trust themselves and have self reliance. He includes many strong arguments and explains himself thoroughly. This essay does not focus on earthly things; it focuses on how one views themselves independently in the world. Emerson shows his readers that self reliance should be embraced throughout yourself, others, and society. In this essay Emerson proudly emphasizes how he believes that every person should have self reliance. Emerson defines self reliance as reliance on one s self and not others; to not go along with society but to follow their own trustworthiness and will. This means to believe in himself or herself and not depend on others. It also means to take responsibility and to not imitate somebody else. One of Emerson s quotes in this essay states, We imitate; and what is imitation but the travelling of the mind? (17). He shows that societies members imitate each other. This should not be reality. Every person can and should think for themselves. Emerson understands that the world is chaotic and calls on individuals to make order of it. People should be united in society yet they should each take part in their own way with their own thoughts. Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string. • 36. Alexis De Tocqueville New Imperialism NEW Imperialism, being an important step towards bringing peace for people, can also have disagreers. Europe has seen many transitions in its history; which means every generation had different ideas about the type of government they would prefer. While Alexis De Tocqueville and Rudyard Kipling wanted Europe to imperialize, Edward Morel and Aime Cesaire were against it. Depending on the time they wrote, some of their reasonings were similar and some were totally new. NEW Alexis De Tocqueville travelled to Algeria twice in order to understand Arab s situations with French people. At first, he looked at Algeria as a democratic person, because he also did research on the democracy of America. He believed that if Algerians will be placed under French administration, they will never be able to succeed because Arabs do not create new government, but improve the one they already have. They live in Tribal organizations, which is very hard to break and their way of life is according to the Koran, which gives them civil and religious laws to be successful. He thought of both sides by saying that Algerians should have unity, so no foreign power can break in easily, and both Arabs and French will merge at some point if they will have a same leader. He said, With time, perseverance, ability, and justice, I have no doubt that we shall be able to raise a great monument to our country s glory on the African ...
