The Theme Of Political Corruption In An Ideal Husband
An Ideal Husband is a play of social comedy and presents a critical view of society. It involves
political overtones and ironically examining the modern political condition. The play indicates how
social power depends on information, knowledge, money and pleasures. For instance, a past secret
allows Mrs. Cheveley to hold power to blackmail Sir Robert Chiltern. The actions of the play discuss
and analyze struggles between public and personal morality, and show the power of self interest. Sir
Robert is act honestly, when it is in his benefit. Robert first rejects Mrs. Cheveley s request to support
her fraudulent project. He tries to be away from fraud and dishonesty and be a noble person. However,
when Mrs. Cheveley starts to blackmail ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In society, all believe that past affects the future of an individual whether negatively or positively. It
defines individuals and if they can leave their past behind. The past comes to light for all the
characters and affects their present lives.
From Wilde point of view, only love omits the old faults with the promise of marriage, as audience
and readers can observe in the last act that all are look toward the future. In the first act, Mrs.

No man is , this means that he should face his immoral decisions in his past. Although, Sir Robert s
past has many positive decisions, but the past seems to be completely negative and mistakes seem
important and effective. He implies to Lady Chiltren that people cannot be judged by their past. It
would be impossible for him to be successful and powerful without the illegal money he gained from
the uncovered secret. Lady Chiltern convinces that people are not able to change. She rejects the idea
that human beings are develop through their entire life. This is shown in her respond to Sir Robert

Loss Of Brakes And Uncontrolled Acceleration Research Paper
Two frightening ways of losing control of your car are loss of brakes and uncontrolled acceleration.
Unlike losing your brakes, the consequences of an uncontrolled acceleration get deadlier every second
you fail to get the problem under control. Each second of acceleration means the car is going faster,
which increases the crash energy of a car accident by the square of your speed.
The first thing you should try is pressing down firmly on the brake. Brakes in good condition should
have no problems counteracting the car s acceleration. After slowing down, pull over to the side of the
road and stop the engine.
If your brakes aren t working or are badly worn, shift into neutral. This disengages the engine from the
transmission to the wheels.

Case Study Of Entrepreneur
Introduction
An entrepreneur is a person that can acquire and capture an idea, which could be about presenting
anything, a specific product, or any type of service. He would have the ability and proficiency for
taking up challenges and risks in order to present that idea towards reality and make it happen.
Entrepreneurship on the other hand, consists of the opportunities that would be needed to explore
(Akudolu, 2010).
The following case study would be presenting the entrepreneurial work of Fadi Ghandour, and his
work processes in terms of the Timmons model of entrepreneur and how effective is this model in the
venturing of entrepreneurship (Akudolu, 2010). Further, the study would state the contributing factors
and the learning outcomes from Ghandour s work.
The Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurship In general discussions (Brooks, 2015), an entrepreneur is
supposed to present a new and a different idea. This is true, but bringing an idea is a different
situation. For an entrepreneur, it is also necessary to have the knowledge in how to reach the targeted
customers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This seems like a straightforward description of what entrepreneurship is, but executing such a process
is an extremely complex and hard task. Risking is a huge part of this process, which could give the
resulted outcome in a good, or in a bad way. Ghandour himself had stated that the NASDAQ listing
was a risking process, but even so, he took it. This is because he believes that in order to bring
entrepreneurial success, a person should never be afraid in trying (Lee, 2013). That is why; executing
an idea would require more than just the originality of that idea. In this process, the entrepreneur
initiates a specific business plan and obtains the proper resources for it, exactly how Ghandour
managed his work and contributed in a good way in other businesses as well (Brooks,

Chinese Immigration Into America Essay
Chinese Immigration into America
Surprisingly, Asian Americans have been in America for over 150 years.
They are as diverse as the immigrants from Europe, ranging from China, Japan,
Korea, Cambodia, Korea, Philippines, India, Vietnam, and Laos. (Takaki, page 8)
When many people think of American Immigrants, Asians are on the last of their lists. In The
Uprooted, Harvard historian, Oscar Handlin, prize winning book with the subtitle quot;the Epic Story
of the Great Migrations that Made the American
People, quot; completely left out the quot;uprooted quot; from the lands across the Pacific
Ocean. (Takaki, page 10) This paper will give some information pertaining to the Chinese immigration

(Takaki, page 22) In 1848, after a war with Mexico, the United States obtained a region known as
California. Finding Californina to be a commercial and agricultural center, it became America s
gateway to Asia. (Takaki, page 20)
With the large fertile lands of California, workers were needed to help reap the profits that would flow
in. Aaron H. Palmer, a government official, stated, quot;No people in all the East are so well adapted
for the clearing wild lands and raising every species of agricultural product as the Chinese. quot;

In 1833, the British Empire abolished the practice of slavery.
Plantation owners desperate for field labor made use of coolies. Coolies were basically Chinese that
signed labor contracts and were held in virtual slavery.
They were ensnared by brokers into this system by debts, clan war prisoners, or kidnapping.
(Melendy, page 13) Like the African slave trade, this method flourished over Asia and had high
mortality rates due to cramped quarters and malnourishment. It was referred to as the quot;buying and
selling of pigs. quot;
(Melendy, page 13) Hawaii made use of this practice in order to fulfill the great demand of the
booming sugar industry. In 1962, the United States congress prohibited American citizens in American
vessels from engaging in such activities. However, the laws were easily evaded, and not strictly
enforced.

My Interest Of Law Is Most Commonly Seen From Old And...
Law is most commonly seen in old and modern day tv shows with criminal being thrown behind bars
or perhaps in the news with the difficult legal system that no one adheres to anymore,, said lawyer
John Adkins in an interview. My interest in law began when I was a young girl. I would check out
books whose subjects ranged from law in general to actual criminal cases both solved and unsolved.
My mind would drink in all the details from the evidence, to the trial, and finally to the conviction of
the accused. One day, I was allowed to check out a DVD of a solved case in which the defendant was
found not guilty of the sudden and mysterious death of his wife. I was intrigued by hearing and
arguments of both sides. Convinced of the mans guilt, I set out on my own little investigation which
yielded little more than the awakening of my interest then and there. Unable to disguise my growing
interest, I told my mom of my dream to become a lawyer. She advised me to carefully think of all the
schooling required to achieve such a career. Past studies indicate the bare minimum requirements
include a high school diploma, any or all classes involving government, social studies, and economics,
speech courses, technology or computer classes. After high school, four years of basic college work is
required. College classes would have to cover: liberal arts track, english, history, economics, social
studies, logic, public speaking, as well as agriculture and political science. Law school

Evaluation of Social Learning Theory
Evaluation of Social learning theory In this essay, I will try to evaluate Social learning theory as
originated by Albert Bandura. I am going to use three pieces of evidence, in a form of case studies,
which have been done previously to support or contradict Bandura s theory. I will demonstrate my
knowledge of these studies throughout their analysis, trying to highlight their strengths and
limitations. Albert Bandura, a 20th century American pszchologist, proposed a very important and
probably the most influential theory of development and learning. He believed that: Most human
behaviour is learned observationally through modelling: from observing others, one forms an idea of
how new behaviours are performed, and on later occasions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another point, perhaps the weakest of the study, is methodological shortcomings. Inflated Bobo doll,
is primarily designed to be hit down and bounce back up, so basically its purpose is being hit,
therefore when the children hit the doll, it didn t necessarily mean that they were imitating their role
models. This contradictory argument is supported by Kniverton and Stephenson found in 1970. On the
other hand, bearing all these limitations in mind, we can deduce that the role model did indeed have a
genuine effect on the child s observed reaction and imitation because all variables other than the
independent variable were well and tightly controlled. This finding is really useful, not purely because
it supports the theory of learning through observation, but mainly it demonstrates usefulness of
explaining real world situations, such as the influence of TV and actors on children (this is also
applicable to further development of social cognitive theory). Probably the biggest strength of this
theory is its high face validity. The idea that children would imitate other s behaviour is highly
probable, because we see it every day. But although there are some really strong supporting
arguments, that children actually imitate the behaviour, it

High School Lunch Essay
MPHS Should have a longer lunch
How much time do you usually take to eat lunch? A half an hour maybe more? Well, at the Mount
Pleasant High School, we get around five minutes. Saying were rushed is an understatement, at the
least. The amount of time we get, from the first bell, to the ending bell, we have 20 minute. By the
time we actually get to start eating, there s five minutes left. I think the Mt. Pleasant High School
should have a longer lunch period, because collectively all around it helps staff and students. Kids
would actually have time to eat their food. We students have no time to eat the food we paid for.
Because not only do we have to wait in ginormous lines for the majority of the time. There are some
of us who have to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It would give the a little space to breathe a minute, and sit with friends. It would take away some of
their stress, to sit and talk with some of their friends. Instead of the alternative of sitting there worried
over how much time you have, and trying to choke down your food to finish it. Sometimes not even
getting to say a word to anyone. Kids already stress enough over their work, and out of school
activities, or things happening a home. So why do they need anymore stress? Stress causes kids to do
bad academically, because it wears them down, making it hard for them to do their best. Kids might
even get a little time to do some of their work at lunch, if given even a little bit of extra time. If you
have forgotten an assignment, and you don t have study hall or panther time you re out of luck. Unless
you do it at lunch, but with how much time were given now, that would mean giving up eating. I know
there are many arguments for saying our lunch should stay short. For instance people might be
worried that if we have too much time, we won t use it to be productive or to eat. Well maybe, some
kids might abuse it you never know, but should a few kids ruin it for the rest of us? Also i m not
saying we should have an hour and a half lunch, i m saying, around 45 minutes, to an hour lunch. That
gives us some time to relax a little, maybe do work, and to eat our food, without choking on it. Having
a longer lunch hour at the Mt. Pleasant

Humorous Snakes In America
Snakes are very frightening. We have all heard stories of snakes biting people, or of how venomous
snakes are. However there are only about twenty species of venomous snakes that live in America.
Sixteen of those snakes are rattlesnakes, two are coral snakes, one is the copperhead, and the other is
the cotton mouth (water moccasin). Rattlesnakes are easily distinguishable by the rattles that alert you
when they are coming. The other snakes have other recognizable features to distinguish them. So
what? some may ask, They are still frightening because of their venom! Yes, their venom is still
frightening; in fact very soon, in a matter of minutes, venom from snakes will make you start swelling
and having severe pain. Afterwards your blood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pest control is one of the most prominent things a snake can do. As predators of rats and mice they can
keep them out of your house. In fact a worker at a Florida dog kennel noticed dozens of snakes living
in the rafters, so he decided they needed to go. He killed the snakes systematically, until all the snakes
were dead. After the snakes died, rats came to take their place. The rat population exploded, a state
biologist stated later. This event cost the kennel a lot of money because of the rats eating and
contaminating dog food. As this example shows, snakes are very important to the natural order of
things. Oftentimes predators in an area will scare away their prey, such as snakes scaring away rats.
More often than naught, people do more harm than good exterminating snakes. Although some snakes
need to be killed or just removed from an area because they are dangerous, non venomous snakes pose
no real threat most of the time. Although most venomous snakes are not that aggressive to humans;
toddlers and smaller children can make them aggressive, making them dangerous to children and
possibly adults. As snakes are more visibly dangerous, it might seem better at the time to get rid of
them; however rats can carry diseases. Diseases can wipe out an entire family, or put them in the
hospital, whereas snakes often only bite one person, if any at

The Major Hormonal Changes That Occur During Adolescence
1. Describe the major hormonal changes that occur during adolescence. Describe girls reactions to
menarche and boys reactions to spermarche during puberty. What factors influence the way
adolescents respond? Describe the impact of puberty on parent c hild interaction and the adaptive
value of this change in adolescents relationships with their parents.
During Adolescence children are transitioning into adulthood. At this time, both boys and girls are
experiencing hormonal changes. Both sexes react differently to these changes. Girls begin menarche
typically between the ages of twelve and thirteen years of age. At this time girls are mostly informed,
however girls still feel that they are not prepared and find themselves in a state of surprise when
menarche starts (Berk, 2014, p. 365). It has been found that African American girls may be better
prepared for their change and transition much easier than their Caucasian classmates. Girls tend to tell
their friends that they are menstruating; therefore they are more apt to get the support of others
through this change (Berk, 2014, p. 368). Boys become sexually mature between the ages of eleven
and fourteen. Around the age of thirteen, a boy my experience his first spermarche, or first ejaculation.
While mostly all males are aware that there is going to be a change and that spermarche is going to
happen, they had no to to tell them about these physical changes or what to expect. It has been found
that most boys find their

Cardiac Muscle Vs Skeletal Muscle
Cardiac muscle tissue is a specialised muscle tissue that is only found in the heart. It is an involuntary
muscle as it doesn t response to the needs of your body, even though it s controlled by the brain. In
contrast, to the skeletal muscle which is a voluntary muscle as the brain controls the movement but
you are aware of the movements.
The main function of the cardiac muscle is to pump blood around the body and essentially keep us
alive. Whereas, the skeletal muscle has many basic functions such as enabling you to move freely,
postural support, and in heat and energy production. The cardiac muscle has evolved to have
incredibly high strength and endurance because the heart beats powerfully and continuously

From Inactivity to Unemployment after the Recession
Many people have moved from inactivity into unemployment after the recession. Since the start of the
recession in 2008, more people have decided to re enter the labor market with the goal of finding a
job. In the latest period of 2013, 523,000 people moved from inactivity into unemployment. It has
increased speedily since 2008. This could be because of the financial pressures put on household
because of the recession. (Dow Jones 2014)
Also, number of recent welfare reforms may have influenced such as changes to the conditionality for
lone parent income support and the replacement of incapacity benefit with support allowance and
employment. (Dow Jones 2014)
UK Monetary policy
Monetary policy includes using interest rates and other financial tools to affect the levels of Aggregate
Demand and consumer spending. In the UK, the objective of monetary policy is to keep inflation
within the target of CPI 2% +/ 1. They also emphasize on other macroeconomic variables such as
unemployment and growth. (Tevgan Pettinger 2012)
The monetary policy in the UK is set by the monetary policy committee of the Bank of England. They
try to meet the inflation target set by the government. (Tevgan Pettinger 2012)
During the recession of 2008 2009, the Bank of England used Quantitative Easing as part of their
monetary policy. This includes creating money electronically such as government bonds from banks to
buy assets. Deflationary pressures are avoided and an increase in the money supply is seen

Biblical Names In Toni Morrison s Song Of Solomon
People choose names for a reason, whether it is so that the child takes on a certain personality, based
on who they are named after, or so that he or she may carry on the name of a beloved family member.
Many names that are popular today are names from the Bible, since most of the biblical characters
possess characteristics that parents would want their child to have. Names like Noah, Jacob, David,
and Miriam, are names currently in the top 1000 child names in the world, and they are all biblical
names. Names from the Bible are also found in many works of literature, like Toni Morrison s Song of

Both women sacrificed something valuable, Reba her diamond ring and Rebecca her family
relationships, so that their children would be happy. The role of Reba in Song of Solomon is that of a
motherly figure, always putting her children first and not worrying about her own needs. This
description aligns well with biblical Rebecca, who sacrifices her relationship with part of her family in
order to please her son, Jacob. Reba is a kinder and more selfless version of the Bible s version of
Rebecca. Reba s aunt, Ruth Foster, has a name that is also associated with a character in the Bible,
also named Ruth. In the Bible, after her husband died, Ruth faithfully stays with her mother in law,
refusing to leave. One of Ruth s most notable quotes from the Bible is as follows: Do not press me to
leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; Where you lodge, I will lodge;
your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die, I will die there will I be
buried. May the Lord do thus and so to me, and more as well, if even death parts me from you! (Ruth
1:16 17). In this quote, the reader can see that Ruth is willing to stay by her mother in law s side no
matter what, even claiming that she would even die with her. Naomi, her mother in law, is a constant
reminder of Ruth s husband, and she refuses to leave her because Naomi is the only reminder she has
of her late husband. In Song of Solomon, after

Human Activities Causes Climate Change Essay
As outlined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change the recent observable changes in Earth
s climate can be related and linked to human activates in the past few centuries. Our heavy use on
fossil fuels contributed up to 56.6% of the greenhouse gases emitted in 2004 as seen in the figure
below (1).This heavy dependence on fossil fuels has encouraged the use, research and development of
new alternative energy sources such as Coal seam gas (CSG) which have reduced greenhouse gas
emissions. CSG is obtained through drilling into the pores of coal seams then using water to fracture
and open the pores in the coal seams which contain high levels of methane. After this fracturing
process the pressure within the borehole is reduced and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The article also makes note that more data should be collected before CSG boring occurs in an area so
that the environmental effects can be compared and monitored not just after the boring has occurred. A
different study has raised concerns with the salinity levels coming from the aquifers that CSG has to
drill through to obtain the methane gas. In the Murray Darling Basin bores are used to supply water
for irrigational purposes such as crops and cattle. These sub artesian bores have shown that they
contain high amounts of salt in the water and contribute to majority of the above ground salinity
levels.(5) The concern arises as CSG is using and accessing the same bores that contain these high
salinity levels however as previously mentioned CSG extracts vast amounts of water to obtain
methane gas. In the Condamine catchment within the Murray darling it was estimated that with the
amount of water that CSG extracts from the ground that 588000 tons of salt will be contributed to
above ground water levels in a single year as seen in the figure below. As seen in the figure below
CSG would equate for almost 50% of the sources of salt inputs from the aquifers to surface water (5).
The concern with the salt levels in the Murray Darling is being monitored closely as it is a highly
agriculture area and high salinity levels in soils can affect the quality of crops(6).
Reports have also shown concern with the vast amount of chemicals that are used in producing coal
seam

Forest is the principal constituent of terrestrial ecosystems and shows important parts in sustaining the
global substance and energy cycles, adjusting carbon balance and alleviating increases in the
atmospheric CO2 concentration and corresponding global climate change (Solomona et al., 2006). The
productivity of forest is pigeonholed by the appropriate temporal and spatial changeability under the
influence of the climate, the soil and the physiological types of the forest (Davis et al., 2012). Based
on the spectral characteristics, indices have been articulated to accentuate features of interest on the

system, World Geodetic System (WGS) 84 Datum of 45 North Zone and based on 2nd order Nearest
Neighbour (NN) algorithm for the corresponding projection of the reference data. The images are
clipped based on the block boundary using ERDAS Imagine software v9.0. The NDVI algorithm is
used to extract the forest characteristics. The spectral band3 and band4 is used in this analysis. The
colour density slicing practice is pertained to the data generated by the NDVI technique in order to
classify the forest changes of the study area. After that recoding technique is adopted and simplifies
the forest categories.
Finally, the change detection (using ERDAS Imagine Software v9.0) technique is applied in order to
demarcate the changes of more than 10% area of forest coverage for each and every year. It involves
subtracting earlier date of transformed (e.g. vegetation indices) imagery from a succeeding date that
has been accurately enumerated to the first (Serneels et al., 2001). It is generally conducted based on
the gray values. The changed region and unchanged region is recognised by picking the proper
threshold values of gray levels in the change

The Atom And The Atomic Of The Energy Level Of Its Electrons
This energy will excite the affected atom, raising the energy level of its electrons. If these electrons are
excited past the range of the nuclei s binding attractive force, then the electron will jettison from the
atom. These two particles, the ionized atom and electron, are now detectable indicating the presence of
a neutron. This is the material ionization phenomenon (Crane and Baker). The nuclear reaction
induction phenomenon occurs when a larger nucleus is struck by a neutron. There is a probability that
the nucleus will absorb the neutron and become unstable. This instability results in the decay of
gamma rays or other particles such as alpha particles and protons. These particles are easily detected

In the conversion of alternating current to direct current, electrons from alternating current will also
enter the diode on the left. However, in part to the oscillating nature of alternating current, the diode
output of direct current will be relatively choppy, since electrons can only move towards the electron
holes in the P type semiconductor (Kuphaldt).
As a result of the choppy nature of the direct current output, a capacitor is used to smooth the electron
fluxes (Copello). A capacitor is an electrical component that stores charge. In its most basic form, a
capacitor is made up of two metal plates with an insulated layer between them ( Capacitors ). As the
electrons flow into the capacitor, their concentration and charge builds up on one plate. Additionally,
due to the repulsive nature of electrons, the buildup of electrons on one plate will push the electrons
from the other plate, creating a current out of the capacitor ( Capacitors ). This makes one plate
positively charged and the other negatively charged. At this point, the capacitor is storing energy. So,
the capacitor smooths the fluctuating direct current by slowly releasing its charge between input spikes
( Capacitors ). This generates a more consistent flow of direct current to the electric grids.
Another primary component of the Farnsworth Fusor is its two concentric electrical grids. The DC
current produced by the diode will be run

A Brief Note On The Urban Heat Island
An urban heat island is described as metropolitan area or a city that is particularly hotter than the rural
areas that surrounding it because of the activities of the human. The difference in the temperature
always higher during the night than at the day, and generally when winds are not strong. Urban heat
island is generally apparent during the winter and summer. The modification of land surfaces is the
main reason for the urban heat island effect. The second contributor is the losing of heat created by the
usage of the energy. The growth of the population center tends to extend its area and boost its
temperature average. The low utilize term heat island assigns to any area, whatever it is populated or
not, in such a way it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reduction of the urban heat island impact can be completed by the utilize of green roofs and the use of
surfaces in urban areas with lighter color, which absorb less heat and reflect more sunlight. It is well
recognized that the advanced alteration by built surfaces of natural surfaces, within urbanization,
shapes the main due to the formation of the urban heat isolation. Natural surfaces are frequently
composed of moisture trapping soils and vegetation. Therefore, they use a large proportion of the
radiation that absorbed in the process of the evapotranspiration and emission water vapor that shares
in cooling the air in their neighborhood. So, built surfaces are possessed from water resistant and a
high percentage of non reflective construction materials. As a result, they ensure the absorption of
certain proportion of the happening radiation, which is emitted as heat. Vegetation restricts radiation
and yield umbrage that also helps in the reduction of the urban heat release. The fragmentation and
reduction of large vegetative zones such as parks, will decrease these advantages and also will
prohibits atmospheric cooling because of the circulation of horizontal air created by the gradient of the
temperature between urbanization and vegetation areas, which is called the park cool island effect. On
the other hand, the buildings which is arranged in narrow way along the streets of the cities create

Margot on the loosing side of a marriage that she knows is coming to an end.
Another important issue regarding the killing of Francis Macomber is the credibility of the safari
guide, Robert Wilson. He gives the reader an outside perspective of the relationship between Francis
and Margot, but it is whether or not his presumptions are accurate that deems him credible or not.
When Margot tries to downplay the killing of the buffalos by saying, You re both talking rot...Just
because you ve chased some helpless animals in a motor car, you talk like heroes, Wilson thinks to
himself, She s worried about it already. It is obvious that Wilson accurately interprets the state of the
relationship between Francis and Margot because he sees the way that Margot controls her husband.
The clear understanding of the relationship that Wilson shows throughout the story proves that he is
indeed credible.

A Report On Osaka Prefecture
Osaka prefecture is located off the coastline of a secluded bay on the eastern central portion of the
Japanese archipelago. It has a population of roughly 8.8 million people. Osaka used to have the second
highes population of Japan but has recently dropped to third next to Tokyo and Kanagawa. It is home
of several man made islands, one of which is Kansai Inrenational Airport, and several other off coast
architectural miracles of modern day ingenuity. Osaka is a beautiful place to live and is also one of the
safest places to live in the world as far as crime and pollution are concerned. On the extreme other
hand it is THE most dangerous place to be in the world when it comes to natural disasters. The entire
Japanes Archipelago is riddled with volcanoes and subject to earthquakes that occur daily due to the
fact that it is located on the subduction zone of the Pacific, North American and Eurasion tectonic
plates and is also one of the hottest spots on the ring of fire . It is also home to the Tsunamis that
follow periodically after especially strong earthquakes occur. These disasters bring forth coastal
erosion, landslides and potential coastal flooding that would seem to be devastating to the population
of Japan and especially of Osaka, being secluded in its own private bay area and surrounded by
mountains on all other sides. On the contrary, the Japanese poulation is thriving and have somehow

The Jewish Religion
When choosing my classes at the beginning of the semester I wanted to choose something that I was
interested in learning but didn t know much about, and that s exactly why I chose to take this Jewish
Studies course. As I was raised a Catholic and attended Catholic school all my life I knew very little
about the Jewish Religion. Now my knowledge of the Jewish faith has strengthened and has been
fulfilled with the help of this class and Rabbi Bogot. The phrase I chose to right my term paper on is
the word and meaning of Mitzvah also known as commandment. As stated in the syllabus packet A
Mitzvah is a God mandated behavior. These behaviors, introduced in the Torah as statutes and
ordinances for the Hebrew people, define the ways in which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

A Bar Mitzvah or a Bat Mitzvah is when a boy or girl reaches the age of thirteen and they are now
obligated to observe the commandments and are welcomed into adulthood. These are both celebrated
through the gathering or family and friends in the form of a party. This celebration is one of the rituals
of the Jewish religion.
Mitzvot (plural of Mitzvah) are understood to come from God and intended for Jewish people to
observe and partake in. Some Jewish people that live on the Western side of the world believe there is
some contradiction with the thought of being commanded to act in something because it takes away
from their right to choose how to behave. In the Torah, it says that when God gave the commandments
he declared, Behold, I have set before you the blessing [of observing the commandments] and the
curse [the potential punishment of failing to observe the Mitzvot] therefore, choose life! . The Jewish
people interpreted this as God acknowledging that Jews have a choice and he wants them to choose
the right one. All Jewish people have different beliefs behind the importance of a Mitzvah. Some
believers attempted to prove that Mitzvot are all sensible, logical actions that any person with ethical
morals would welcome. Whereas others reject that belief and believe that the six hundred and thirteen
commandments improve them as human beings and refines them into honest and impartial people by
obeying God

Strengths And Weaknesses Of A Parliamentary Government
A parliamentary government is a democratic form of government which operates on a party system. It
is the most popular and widely adopted form of democracy. A state that operates on a parliamentary
system is run by two executives, firstly the head of state who is either a monarch or president who
then appoints a prime minister as the head of government. A parliament can be run by either a single
majority political party or as a coalition government in which more than one party collaborate to form
the government. In this essay I will be assessing the key strengths and weaknesses associated with a
parliamentary government. In doing so I will conclude that whilst a parliamentary government has
weaknesses its strengths outweigh these and therefore it is the superior form of democratic
government.
As the most widely adopted form of democratic government there are many strengths associated with
a parliamentary government. The parliamentary system is often praised for the fast and efficient way
in which it is able to pass legislation. The reason this is possible is because unlike a presidential
system the legislative and executive power in a parliamentary system are merged together. Due to this
fusion of power legislation does not have to undergo a lengthy process and therefore laws can be
formulated and put into place much quicker(Bates, 1986: 114 5). Another advantage of a
parliamentary system is that the majority of the power is not held by one individual head of state but
rather is more evenly divided among a single party or coalition. One of the main benefits of this is that
as there is more of a division of power a parliamentary government is less prone to authoritarianism
than a presidential system. Juan Linz argues that a presidential system is more dangerous due to the
fact that; Winners and losers are sharply defined for the entire period of the presidential mandate
(Linz, 1990: 56), this sharp line between winners and losers increases tension between these two
groups and allows the winner to isolate themselves from other political parties (Linz, 1990: 56). Due
to this tension and isolation a presidential system is at a higher risk of turning into an authoritarian
regime than a parliamentary system.

Rise Of Athens Essay
In the 5th century BC the city of Athens is growing rapidly. The city of Goddess Athena will succeed
under the leadership of the famous Pericles, to experience the greatest glory that a city would ever
know. Pericles will be the one who will sign it and through his politics Athens will enter the so called
Golden Age .
He was the one who actually transformed Athens from a city state to a metropolis and gradually to an
empire. (Pericles, 2009)
All started with the Delian League which rendered Athens a dominant in the Hellenic area. As soon as
the treasury of the League was located in Athens there was a sudden development in many areas
including, constructions, trade, arts and culture. He had also made many social reformations allowing

Spartans were terrified of Athens evolution and were looking for a cause to interfere.
That cause will eventually come by the Corfiots.
The naval battle in Sivota in 433 BC will mark the beginning of the Peloponnesian War that lasted for
27 years. (Ancient Warfare, 2008) At the beginning of the war the Athenians had managed to keep
Spartans away, but a sudden plague resulted in the death of a major number of Athenians, including
Pericles himself. Soon enough his strategies were abandoned and as none of his processes had the
ability to lead the army.
The next day found Athens under the Spartan Sovereignty. The Peloponnesian War managed to
radically change the flow of history. It was probably the most destructive and those who took part in it
didn t remain unaffected. At the same it signed the end of democracy and the Golden Age.
Although the Peloponnesian War was the reason for the end of the Athenian Golden Age it would be
unfair to blame only the Spartans. Warfare was a usual thing in the ancient times as there was much
competition between city states. If we take into account the rule of rise and fall, the end of the Golden
Age would be inevitable and that was proved by the fact that when the Peloponnesian War was over
the new force in the Hellenic area, the Macedonians conquered the whole Greece, establishing a new
form of government, the

Comparing Pride And Prejudice And Letters To Alice
Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice (1813) and Fay Weldon s novel Letters to Alice (1984) elicit a
deeper understanding of human behaviour and social expectations. A comparison of these two texts
highlights the changing expectations of women and the timeless necessity of education.
In Pride and Prejudice, Austen criticises her society s expectations of women as restrictive and
detrimental for their happiness. In the Regency era, women depended on men for wealth or status by
marriage, and women in general were expected to be submissive to men. After Lizzy s walk to
Netherfield, the snobbish Miss Bingley remarks that: It seems to me to show an abominable sort of
conceited independence , her disapproving tone demonstrating that the the expectations ... Show more

In 1980s England, marriage was mostly made for love rather than wealth, and women had the right to
vote and work due to the campaigns of second wave feminism of the mid 20th century. Her
juxtaposition of tense: To marry was a great prize ... no wonder Jane Austen s heroines were so
absorbed by the matter. It is the stuff of our women s magazines, but it was the stuff of their life, their
very existence shows the relegation of marriage to a luxury rather than an important goal for women.
Weldon reshapes readers critical opinions of Mrs Bennet, formed by 1980s society s trivialised
attitude towards marriage, by explaining her behaviour in relation to her society s restrictive
expectations of marriage and laws of entailment: No wonder Mrs Bennet, driven half mad by anxiety
for her five unmarried daughters, knowing they would be unprovided for when her husband died ...
made a fool of herself in public. Her critical tone: It is too easy to believe that because something is
traditionally women s work, that it is worth nothing demonstrates domesticity is no longer the sole
option for 1980s women. Weldon s critical tone while referencing Austen: Mansfield Park throbs with
the notion that what women need is the moral care and protection of men shows that the necessity of
female dependence on men is no longer necessary in her society. Weldon

Hansells Case study
In most companies, one of the primary goals is to produce world class and quality products. It is also
the reason why these institutions invest large portion of the budget in technology, employee
training/enhancement and modernising its facilities. Furthermore, the most essential resource of every
company is its manpower. It is the process in which the raw materials are being converted into
merchandise. This where human resources intercede to facilitate human resource activities to improve
the work, maintain standards and to align to the vision and mission of the company.
Hansells case study is a perfect example of enriching and empowering employees to gain better
outcome in terms of productivity and efficiency. In the case study, it was clearly defined how the
human resource personnel designed the employee development plan.

Bertolt Brecht Alienation Function Analysis
Suspend your disbelief, is not what playwright Bertolt Brecht wants you to do when you see his
musical about the story of the founding fathers on Broadway. Brecht wants his audience to be
conscious of the fact that his musical is in fact just that: a musical. Hamilton s purpose is to intrigue its
audience intellectually to the point in which it sparks a deeper conversation and further research
following the performance. Brecht and every aspect of his musical take ownership of the fact that the
musical is not the historical past itself, but a retelling of the past by actors who were not in the room
where it happened. How Brecht achieves producing this state of consciousness is more subtle and
elegant than the previous technique of having actors walk out with blatant placards to remind the
audience that they are watching a play. One of the marks of Brecht s epic theater is his alienation
effect, or a representation which allows [the audience] to recognize its subject, but at the same time
makes it seem unfamiliar (Brecht 1948, 8). One of the most controversial aspects of Hamilton is also
one of the most essential aspects which achieve s Brecht s alienation goal the casting. Hamilton is
known for its diverse casting in which the only featured character who has been played by a white
actor is King George III (which has its own controversy of how the only white person in the musical
plays the villain). The effect of having people of color play the founding fathers and other

THE INTERCONNECTION OF BIBLE INERRANCY WITH BAPTIST REVIVAL

When Baptists are called Bible lovers, it not only means that they keep biblical principles, but it also
indicates that they believe what the Bible says. Although most denominations have given up their
position for the authority of the Bible, Baptists in America remain the largest and most organized
conservative group for supporting Bible inerrancy. However, the debates over Biblical inerrancy have

Princeton held outstanding conservative scholars such as A. A. Hodge and Benjamin Warfield; they
defended Bible inerrancy against the liberals and their high criticism toward the inspiration of the

however, Princeton finally gave way to a modified and moderate view on the inerrancy of the Bible.
Eventually, the conservative theology of other denominations collapsed, and the Presbyterian

their own sector by defending Bible inerrancy with the an advent of dispensational movement. This
dispensational conception of biblical inerrancy made a huge contribution to the fundamentalist

As it is the second Europe s cloth retailer company, for the production H amp;M uses a lot of material

King Richard Essay
King Richard
My report is on Richard I, byname Richard the Lion Hearted. He was born September 8, 1157 in
Oxford, England. He died on April 6, 1199 in Chalus, England. His knightly manner and his prowess
in the Third Crusade(1189 92) made him a popular king in his own time, as well as the hero of
countless romantic legends. He has been viewed less kindly by more recent historians and scholars.
Richard was the third son of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine, and he was given the duchy of
Aquitaine, his mother s inheritance, at the age of 11 and was enthroned as duke at Poitiers in 1172.

An Argumentative Essay On Sea Shepherd
How can any social, political, or economic issue matter if there is no earth to argue them on? How can
humans fight amongst themselves if there is no way for humans to live on this planet? These kinds of
arguments are perhaps the most well known arguments many ecoterrorists give to explain their
actions, and to be fair, that is because they can be a rather convincing ones. It is a universal truth that it
is humanity s responsibility to care for that which gives the human race everything, the earth. Yet at
what cost? Are radical environmental groups justified in employing direct action tactics involving
illegal acts, or even violent ones? It is a question with no easy answer, but through an examination into
the history and motives of one such particular environmental group, Sea Shepherd, a conclusion
leaning towards support is hard not to reach. It should be noted, however, that this positive conclusion
can only be applied to the present, and should groups such as Sea ... Show more content on

hurt or killed for the sake of a cause that does not facilitate highly successful results. In one particular
case study that relates to Sea Shepherd s direct action tactics against Japanese whaling ships, it was
found that simply educating the public about the negative effects of whaling and eating whale meat
had a bigger effect than Sea Shepherd s actions. (Hoek 2010, 1) This is important to note so it can be
understood that the value of direct action tactics used by environmental groups such as Sea Shepherd
is not in direct change but in the form of creating publicity and

Austrian British philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein once said, The real question of life after death isn t
whether or not it exists, but even if it does what problem this really solves. The idea that death is
inevitable is well known by everyone, yet no one is certain as to what happens afterwards. Even
though the subject of life after death has been argued for centuries by many philosophers and
theologians. In the article Sign Here If You Exist, Jill Sisson Quinn adequately employs figurative
language, rhetoric questionings, and personal anecdotes to demonstrate a controversial argument on
the topic of life after death. In her article, Quinn uses multiple figurative languages to strengthen her
claim that life after death does not exist. This is a very opinionated piece therefore using figurative
language such as metaphors, simile, diction and symbols help enhance the validity of the author s
argument, while effectively giving her opinion to the readers in a subdued manner. Quinn s use of the
Ichneumon wasp as a symbol for the process of human life is a subtle way of writing it. Her article
starts off with a detailed description of the physical features of a Female Giant Ichneumon Wasp,
which then proceeds to a biology based background explanation on the specie. During her
descriptions, Quinn uses carefully chosen words that is meant to let the reader go beyond imagining
the wasp and to think of it as something more. She explains Her overall appearance of fragility the

  • 6. My Interest Of Law Is Most Commonly Seen From Old And... Law is most commonly seen in old and modern day tv shows with criminal being thrown behind bars or perhaps in the news with the difficult legal system that no one adheres to anymore,, said lawyer John Adkins in an interview. My interest in law began when I was a young girl. I would check out books whose subjects ranged from law in general to actual criminal cases both solved and unsolved. My mind would drink in all the details from the evidence, to the trial, and finally to the conviction of the accused. One day, I was allowed to check out a DVD of a solved case in which the defendant was found not guilty of the sudden and mysterious death of his wife. I was intrigued by hearing and arguments of both sides. Convinced of the mans guilt, I set out on my own little investigation which yielded little more than the awakening of my interest then and there. Unable to disguise my growing interest, I told my mom of my dream to become a lawyer. She advised me to carefully think of all the schooling required to achieve such a career. Past studies indicate the bare minimum requirements include a high school diploma, any or all classes involving government, social studies, and economics, speech courses, technology or computer classes. After high school, four years of basic college work is required. College classes would have to cover: liberal arts track, english, history, economics, social studies, logic, public speaking, as well as agriculture and political science. Law school ... • 7. Evaluation of Social Learning Theory Evaluation of Social learning theory In this essay, I will try to evaluate Social learning theory as originated by Albert Bandura. I am going to use three pieces of evidence, in a form of case studies, which have been done previously to support or contradict Bandura s theory. I will demonstrate my knowledge of these studies throughout their analysis, trying to highlight their strengths and limitations. Albert Bandura, a 20th century American pszchologist, proposed a very important and probably the most influential theory of development and learning. He believed that: Most human behaviour is learned observationally through modelling: from observing others, one forms an idea of how new behaviours are performed, and on later occasions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another point, perhaps the weakest of the study, is methodological shortcomings. Inflated Bobo doll, is primarily designed to be hit down and bounce back up, so basically its purpose is being hit, therefore when the children hit the doll, it didn t necessarily mean that they were imitating their role models. This contradictory argument is supported by Kniverton and Stephenson found in 1970. On the other hand, bearing all these limitations in mind, we can deduce that the role model did indeed have a genuine effect on the child s observed reaction and imitation because all variables other than the independent variable were well and tightly controlled. This finding is really useful, not purely because it supports the theory of learning through observation, but mainly it demonstrates usefulness of explaining real world situations, such as the influence of TV and actors on children (this is also applicable to further development of social cognitive theory). Probably the biggest strength of this theory is its high face validity. The idea that children would imitate other s behaviour is highly probable, because we see it every day. But although there are some really strong supporting arguments, that children actually imitate the behaviour, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Well, at the Mount Pleasant High School, we get around five minutes. Saying were rushed is an understatement, at the least. The amount of time we get, from the first bell, to the ending bell, we have 20 minute. By the time we actually get to start eating, there s five minutes left. I think the Mt. Kids already stress enough over their work, and out of school activities, or things happening a home. So why do they need anymore stress? Stress causes kids to do bad academically, because it wears them down, making it hard for them to do their best. Kids might even get a little time to do some of their work at lunch, if given even a little bit of extra time. If you have forgotten an assignment, and you don t have study hall or panther time you re out of luck. Unless you do it at lunch, but with how much time were given now, that would mean giving up eating. I know there are many arguments for saying our lunch should stay short. For instance people might be worried that if we have too much time, we won t use it to be productive or to eat. Well maybe, some kids might abuse it you never know, but should a few kids ruin it for the rest of us? Also i m not saying we should have an hour and a half lunch, i m saying, around 45 minutes, to an hour lunch. After the snakes died, rats came to take their place. The rat population exploded, a state biologist stated later. This event cost the kennel a lot of money because of the rats eating and contaminating dog food. As this example shows, snakes are very important to the natural order of things. Describe the impact of puberty on parent c hild interaction and the adaptive value of this change in adolescents relationships with their parents. During Adolescence children are transitioning into adulthood. At this time, both boys and girls are experiencing hormonal changes. Both sexes react differently to these changes. Girls begin menarche typically between the ages of twelve and thirteen years of age. At this time girls are mostly informed, however girls still feel that they are not prepared and find themselves in a state of surprise when menarche starts (Berk, 2014, p. 365). This description aligns well with biblical Rebecca, who sacrifices her relationship with part of her family in order to please her son, Jacob. Reba is a kinder and more selfless version of the Bible s version of Rebecca. Reba s aunt, Ruth Foster, has a name that is also associated with a character in the Bible, also named Ruth. In the Bible, after her husband died, Ruth faithfully stays with her mother in law, refusing to leave. One of Ruth s most notable quotes from the Bible is as follows: Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! May the Lord do thus and so to me, and more as well, if even death parts me from you! (Ruth 1:16 17). In the Murray Darling Basin bores are used to supply water for irrigational purposes such as crops and cattle. These sub artesian bores have shown that they contain high amounts of salt in the water and contribute to majority of the above ground salinity levels.(5) The concern arises as CSG is using and accessing the same bores that contain these high salinity levels however as previously mentioned CSG extracts vast amounts of water to obtain methane gas. In the Condamine catchment within the Murray darling it was estimated that with the amount of water that CSG extracts from the ground that 588000 tons of salt will be contributed to above ground water levels in a single year as seen in the figure below. As seen in the figure below CSG would equate for almost 50% of the sources of salt inputs from the aquifers to surface water (5). The productivity of forest is pigeonholed by the appropriate temporal and spatial changeability under the influence of the climate, the soil and the physiological types of the forest (Davis et al., 2012). However, in part to the oscillating nature of alternating current, the diode output of direct current will be relatively choppy, since electrons can only move towards the electron holes in the P type semiconductor (Kuphaldt). As a result of the choppy nature of the direct current output, a capacitor is used to smooth the electron fluxes (Copello). A capacitor is an electrical component that stores charge. In its most basic form, a capacitor is made up of two metal plates with an insulated layer between them ( Capacitors ). As the electrons flow into the capacitor, their concentration and charge builds up on one plate. Additionally, due to the repulsive nature of electrons, the buildup of electrons on one plate will push the electrons from the other plate, creating a current out of the capacitor ( Capacitors ). This makes one plate positively charged and the other negatively charged. At this point, the capacitor is storing energy. So, the capacitor smooths the fluctuating direct current by slowly releasing its charge between input spikes ( Capacitors ). This generates a more consistent flow of direct current to the electric grids. Another primary component of the Farnsworth Fusor is its two concentric electrical grids. Natural surfaces are frequently composed of moisture trapping soils and vegetation. • 23. Strengths And Weaknesses Of A Parliamentary Government A parliamentary government is a democratic form of government which operates on a party system. It is the most popular and widely adopted form of democracy. A state that operates on a parliamentary system is run by two executives, firstly the head of state who is either a monarch or president who then appoints a prime minister as the head of government. A parliament can be run by either a single majority political party or as a coalition government in which more than one party collaborate to form the government. In this essay I will be assessing the key strengths and weaknesses associated with a parliamentary government. In doing so I will conclude that whilst a parliamentary government has weaknesses its strengths outweigh these and therefore it is the superior form of democratic government. As the most widely adopted form of democratic government there are many strengths associated with a parliamentary government. The parliamentary system is often praised for the fast and efficient way in which it is able to pass legislation. The reason this is possible is because unlike a presidential system the legislative and executive power in a parliamentary system are merged together. Due to this fusion of power legislation does not have to undergo a lengthy process and therefore laws can be formulated and put into place much quicker(Bates, 1986: 114 5). Another advantage of a parliamentary system is that the majority of the power is not held by one individual head of state but rather is more evenly divided among a single party or coalition. One of the main benefits of this is that as there is more of a division of power a parliamentary government is less prone to authoritarianism than a presidential system. Juan Linz argues that a presidential system is more dangerous due to the fact that; Winners and losers are sharply defined for the entire period of the presidential mandate (Linz, 1990: 56), this sharp line between winners and losers increases tension between these two groups and allows the winner to isolate themselves from other political parties (Linz, 1990: 56). Due to this tension and isolation a presidential system is at a higher risk of turning into an authoritarian regime than a parliamentary system. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The city of Goddess Athena will succeed under the leadership of the famous Pericles, to experience the greatest glory that a city would ever know. Pericles will be the one who will sign it and through his politics Athens will enter the so called Golden Age . He was the one who actually transformed Athens from a city state to a metropolis and gradually to an empire. (Pericles, 2009) All started with the Delian League which rendered Athens a dominant in the Hellenic area. That cause will eventually come by the Corfiots. The naval battle in Sivota in 433 BC will mark the beginning of the Peloponnesian War that lasted for 27 years. (Ancient Warfare, 2008) At the beginning of the war the Athenians had managed to keep Spartans away, but a sudden plague resulted in the death of a major number of Athenians, including Pericles himself. Soon enough his strategies were abandoned and as none of his processes had the ability to lead the army. The next day found Athens under the Spartan Sovereignty. The Peloponnesian War managed to radically change the flow of history. It was probably the most destructive and those who took part in it didn t remain unaffected. At the same it signed the end of democracy and the Golden Age. Although the Peloponnesian War was the reason for the end of the Athenian Golden Age it would be unfair to blame only the Spartans. Warfare was a usual thing in the ancient times as there was much competition between city states. If we take into account the rule of rise and fall, the end of the Golden Age would be inevitable and that was proved by the fact that when the Peloponnesian War was over the new force in the Hellenic area, the Macedonians conquered the whole Greece, establishing a new form of government, the ... Comparing Pride And Prejudice And Letters To Alice Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice (1813) and Fay Weldon s novel Letters to Alice (1984) elicit a deeper understanding of human behaviour and social expectations. A comparison of these two texts highlights the changing expectations of women and the timeless necessity of education. In Pride and Prejudice, Austen criticises her society s expectations of women as restrictive and detrimental for their happiness. In the Regency era, women depended on men for wealth or status by marriage, and women in general were expected to be submissive to men. After Lizzy s walk to Netherfield, the snobbish Miss Bingley remarks that: It seems to me to show an abominable sort of conceited independence , her disapproving tone demonstrating that the the expectations ... It is the stuff of our women s magazines, but it was the stuff of their life, their very existence shows the relegation of marriage to a luxury rather than an important goal for women. Weldon reshapes readers critical opinions of Mrs Bennet, formed by 1980s society s trivialised attitude towards marriage, by explaining her behaviour in relation to her society s restrictive expectations of marriage and laws of entailment: No wonder Mrs Bennet, driven half mad by anxiety for her five unmarried daughters, knowing they would be unprovided for when her husband died ... made a fool of herself in public. Bertolt Brecht Alienation Function Analysis Suspend your disbelief, is not what playwright Bertolt Brecht wants you to do when you see his musical about the story of the founding fathers on Broadway. Brecht wants his audience to be conscious of the fact that his musical is in fact just that: a musical. Hamilton s purpose is to intrigue its audience intellectually to the point in which it sparks a deeper conversation and further research following the performance. Brecht and every aspect of his musical take ownership of the fact that the musical is not the historical past itself, but a retelling of the past by actors who were not in the room where it happened. How Brecht achieves producing this state of consciousness is more subtle and elegant than the previous technique of having actors walk out with blatant placards to remind the audience that they are watching a play. One of the marks of Brecht s epic theater is his alienation effect, or a representation which allows [the audience] to recognize its subject, but at the same time makes it seem unfamiliar (Brecht 1948, 8). One of the most controversial aspects of Hamilton is also one of the most essential aspects which achieve s Brecht s alienation goal the casting. It is a universal truth that it is humanity s responsibility to care for that which gives the human race everything, the earth. Yet at what cost? Are radical environmental groups justified in employing direct action tactics involving illegal acts, or even violent ones? The idea that death is inevitable is well known by everyone, yet no one is certain as to what happens afterwards. Even though the subject of life after death has been argued for centuries by many philosophers and theologians. In the article Sign Here If You Exist, Jill Sisson Quinn adequately employs figurative language, rhetoric questionings, and personal anecdotes to demonstrate a controversial argument on the topic of life after death. In her article, Quinn uses multiple figurative languages to strengthen her claim that life after death does not exist. This is a very opinionated piece therefore using figurative language such as metaphors, simile, diction and symbols help enhance the validity of the author s argument, while effectively giving her opinion to the readers in a subdued manner.
