3. Research
The strengths of my research was looking at some existing products which
gave me a lot of ideas on what I could possibly talk about and what style it
could be in. this really influenced my final product as I took ideas off the
experiments I saw and implemented them into my product and especially for
my logo and poster the existing products really helped me.
One thing I would definitely improve would be the choice of the existing
products as I didn't’t have a wide and selective range of ideas. If I had a wider
range my product would have been miles better as it would be more creative.
4. Planning
The strengths of my research was gathering the colour scheme for my
advertisement poster and my logo as well. The planning helped my product a
lot as I was able write down the sound effects I was going to use and where I
was getting them from
A weakness towards my planning was that I didn't have a lot of fonts for my
poster so therefore it doesn’t look as good as it could have been that’s
especially something I would improve
5. Time Management
• I believe that my time management was good because i managed to get
everything handed in on time however my production took a long time as I
had to record which took the most time as I had constantly stop and start
because the recording were bad or there was too much echo. This caused
me to be on my recording for a while.
• If I had more time I would have talked longer in my recording as well as I
would have had a lot more time to edit the pieces better and wouldn’t
have as many gaps as there is.
• If I also had more time I would have taken more time to rehearse the
script as through the recordings I was loosing track with what I needed to
stay.
6. Technical Qualities
The work on the left is mine and the one on the right is someone else's that mine is
similar too. My work and the work on the right have some similarities like what they are
talking about however mine is about games where as the other one is about podcasters
and they both have a list and some snippets for example I have included the theme song
for every game I have mentioned and it’s the same for what he does he puts little
snippets of what the podcaster is like and his attitude towards everything.
There are many differences such as the one on the right is a video so therefore you get to
see the person who is actually talking and you can see what snippets of clips he uses
unlike mine where you can only hear me and the snippets playing
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I believe that it was creative especially the podcast logo as I created it my self with an app on my
phone which allowed me to make it, also it allowed me to create a full bodied person which is
shown on the poster on the left, I also believe that my podcast was ok because I had some facts
in the podcast well I made my own top 10 list of games with there theme tunes,.
8. Audience Appeal
As I made the podcast about gaming it was what the majority of the people wanted I
found this out with the survey I created, this would appeal to my audience as they
wanted to hear about gaming, also I created the podcast to the length they wanted also
for my logo I made sure it had bright colours which would catch peoples eye and for my
poster I had placed I time which allowed to have my audience informed.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the poster as it has a time for when it starts
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– A better font and size for the poster
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The logo is unique and creative, the poster is
informative
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could rehearse the script as there was a lot of
stopping and starting.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– i liked the amount sound effects off games that
you included in the podcast
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could be louder as you are very quite
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I agree with the feedback that I got about my logo as they said it was
creative which it was even though it only took me 5 minutes with an
app on my phone another thing I agree with is that I should project my
voice.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– One thing I do disagree with is that I could off added more sound
effects I had lots of sound effects for the games I mentioned which
was a lot this wouldn't benefit me as it would sound unauthentic and
wouldn't sound as good as if there was only a few sound effects.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
with the feedback I received I believe it is fare because when someone said my
logo is really good I can understand why they said that even though it only took 5
minutes to create with an app on my phone it turned out really good and the
things I need to improve is I need to project my voice more as in the podcast it
was really quite and add more sound effects however I only used sound effects
for the theme songs of the games which I believe is enough because if there is
too many sound effects there wouldn’t be a lot of speaking and if I had the same
amount of talking and a lot more sound effects it would of made the podcast way
to long and no one would listen all the way through. Also it would be unadvised
to make the podcast have lots of sound effects as it won’t sound real and
authentic.
